This is in the Waldorf Astoria hotel. The gate attendant was sort of a pain. Nowhere does it say reservations only we had to sit at th gate to try and make an open table reservation, which didn’t go through so we called and made a reservation. It’s 3pm. They just opened. Of course when we got in we were the only people there. The staff said we didn’t need reservations. So not sure if I was our crap uber or my Girlfriend who was on that side that he decided to profile… anyway. The view is amazing. The staff was ultra friendly. We just came for some oysters and champagne which was great. The champagne tasting was $100/person and they did a salt pairing. Wasn’t something I’ve had so it was good. 3 tastes and 3 salts. We had some oysters which were decent, for the price I’d say they should have been a better option they weren’t anything special and for almost $50 for 5 they should have been. But the view. You pay for it. And you will. Out total was about $450 which included their 15% mandatory tip (tacky for a place of this price but hey maybe people go there and get sticker shock and don’t tip) and another 15% on top - my urge on forced gratuity is to leave it at that, but that view. Food smelled great. View is amazing. Oysters were the same as the stuff that the marina for less. Still a great time.

They were very welcoming and attentive! They go through the menu with you and recommend their favorites and what drinks pair well with each taco. Then they have their special tacos for the week that you can’t normally order off of the menu. I ordered the Cheese Crust Pastor tacos and they were good! They were also very greasy but I get that since the whole shell is made of cheese. The pineapple really added to the flavor and tied everything together! We saw a beautiful sunset while we sat at our table. A live band was playing and it fit the mood. I give the 5 stars to service and ambiance. I gave 4 stars due to my husband who had ordered the 6 course meal. The octopus was overcooked which made it very very tough and the last course was a filet, but maybe not the best cut. The waiter was very understanding and rectified the problem with a substantial discount. My meal was superb. I had a three-course meal oysters, sea bass, and a chocolate mouse with hazelnuts. It was excellent!! We will come back and would recommend this restaurant to our friends.

The atmosphere is absolutely lovely, with gorgeous live music and a beautiful tiered balcony overlooking the ocean and arch. Doesn’t get much better than that. But the food has much to be desired- we did the 6 course tasting menu with the wine pairing. The first couple of courses were ok- although they served the ceviche on a bed of salt (for presentation purposes), but is not practical for eating purposes as multiple of us dropped our bite into the salt, which ended in a very salty bite of ceviche. The fish dish, truffle fettuccini and dessert were very good. The steak, octopus and lobster were all incredibly tough and overcooked, and most of us could barely finish them. I will say the portions are quite large for a tasting menu, so will give points for that. The wine pairing was also mediocre, with none of the wines really pairing all that well. We would have preferred to just get a couple of bottles among the 6 of us, but the bottles were incredibly over priced for the quality of wine.
