We went last night, after a year of not going, hoping things had been turned around. Long story short food is underwhelming especially considering the price being charged. Wife and I ordered the surfy and turf guacamole and the barbacoa tacos for appetizers. Guacamole had no flavor, turf part was ribeye that was hard as rocks, barbacoa tacos were alright but nothing to write home about. The main courses were spectacular and saved the night. Pollo in mole rosa and pork belly in black mole were phenomenal!!! Perfectly cooked, presented and taste was incredible for both. Drinks were mediocre, stick to water. However service is dreadful, slow and inattentive, no care.

The food was incredible, I got the “Arm drip sandwich” and it was phenomenal, the meat was very tender, the bread was crispy, and the salad was perfect. The portion size and flavour is worth the price. I also had an “Old fashioned” bourbon cocktail and it was perfection in a glass. The service was very good, staff were very friendly, they spoke both english & spanish. The food did not take too long to arrive as well. The atmosphere and ambiance was very nice as well, quite classy. It was not noisy but we went during its off peak hours. My family had some other dishes and they were perfect as well. We saw the great reviews when checking out restaurants while in Canada. It did not disappoint! Delicious and super cheap compared to what we would have paid at home. When they were moving the furniture and hollering at each other, it certainly became impossible to sleep. There are no real good public spaces to sit and relax and the rooms pretty much have a bed and the necessaries. There's no where's good to sit in the rooms either. This is listed as a four-star property but I wouldn't give it anything more than three stars. Two tips - bring bed shoes with you because the floors have a pretty significant texture and or anything but clean and you definitely need ear plugs.
