Toevallig hier terecht gekomen voor een diner. Het was wat vol door een feestje, maar na even wachten werden we op onze plek gezet. Het voelde wat koud, waar het personeel direct op handelde: ze zetten meteen de airco uit.
We waren erg onder de indruk van het eten. Wij hebben de Steak pie gehad. Dit laat ons denken aan de Nederlandse keuken, maar dan wél lekker. Super mals vlees in een bladerdeeg jas met daarnaast fijne aardappelpuree en gezoete groenten. Ook het sticky toffee dessert gecombineerd met de warme custard was absoluut genieten. Wij zijn zeer te spreken over deze gerechten en dat voor in totaal onder de 50 pond!
De bediening waren jonge, enthousiaste mensen wie naar eigen stijl mochten kleden. Dit gaf een gastvrij gevoel. De bediening nam ruim de tijd voor een praatje en een grapje. Jammer dat we elders een overnachting hebben... Wij zijn zeer tevreden naar buiten gelopen en kunnen dit iedereen aanraden!

Perfektes Hotel für kurzen Aufenthalt in einem Lokal Pub. Unser Zimmer würde vermutlich frisch renoviert, war auf jeden Fall sehr schön und angenehm, auch sauber.
Die Speisekarte für Abendessen ist sehr umfangreich und das Essen wirklich sehr lecker.
Frühstück würde ich auf jeden Fall dazu buchen, denn für das Geld bekommt man ein tolles Frühstück. Man hat ein Buffet mit Broten, Croissants und Cornflakes und kann dann noch aus verschiedenen Eierspeisen die frisch zubereitet werden.

Stayed here for one night whilst on the way to invernrss via fort William. Unfortunately the weather prevented us an afternoon on Loch lomond.
However the staff at the Tullie were great, very welcoming and helpful. Drinks were reasonably priced and good selection. Had the Sunday dinner which again was reasonably priced and delicious. Rooms were large and very comfortable. Very good selection at breakfast with a delicious Scottish breakfast.

My family have been visiting the Tullie Inn for several years now and have gotten to know the staff well.
A big shout out to Debbie. Mary,Kim and the two lovely lads who have attended to us,treated us so well,shared a bit of humour and have been professional to a fault.
The Tullie is undergoing some management changes and to be honest something felt very different on our last visit. Lighter,fresher.
Debbie for one is very excited about the upcoming changes. I alwsys think that speaks volumes about a manager.

Very disappointing experience. The kids’ menu included unlimited soft drinks but sparkling water wasn’t covered, which felt odd. My salad was actually more expensive at lunch than on the à la carte menu and was nothing but limp greens with a bottled dressing. The pizza from the supermarket was awful. A supposed hamburger with vegan nuggets from the supermarket inside, without even a sauce (it couldn't have been any drier).
We ordered the bruschetta as a starter because it was the only vegan option, and it was anything but bruschetta.

Cucina, oh what can I say about cucina, they have great food solid prices and a nice Italian atmosphere. We ordered the vegetable lasagna which was great it also came with a small salad and garlic bread, we also ordered the steak fillet which was cooked perfectly for our request, and the goat cheese Bruschetta which was phenomenal. Overall I highly recommend cucina for good food and fine service.

We visited La Vista at Cameron House during our Scotland trip, and the setting alone is worth the visit — truly breathtaking natural scenery all around.
Even though we didn’t have a reservation, the staff were kind enough to accommodate us, which we really appreciated. We ordered the Pollo Pizza (they confirmed the chicken was halal), the non-alcoholic flower cocktail, and fried Loch Crerar oysters. The food was tasty.
The only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that while the food was good, there’s just a bit of room for that extra wow factor in flavour.

We arrived at Cameron House for 3 nights' stay. Our first night, tonight, we were very glad that we selected La Vista. Our server, Ellie, was excellent. Very attentive, very friendly and congenial. The manager on duty also checked on us a few times. She appeared to be making sure that everyone was delighted with their meal. The rosemary garlic foccacia bread was excellent; the mussels were some of the best we've ever had. My husband enjoyed the carbonara penne pasta dish with green beans and I enjoyed the chicken milanese. Wine choice, a Valpolicella was reasonably priced and good. We rounded up our service charge as we felt the whole experience was excellent.

Visited La Vista on a Friday evening in October with a 7pm booking. It was busy but not full. The atmosphere was relaxing and not too noisy.
We opted for main courses and a dessert so we had the rump steak with koffman fries, fish & chips, a pistachio cannolli and tartufo. Everything was superb. My steak was perfectly cooked medium rare, my husband said his fish had a light and crisp batter. We don't usually have dessert but we both enjoyed our wee treat.
I also had a Flight cocktail which was lovely if, like me, you enjoy cocktails with a more bitter edge rather than fruity. If you like a Negroni or an Old fashioned you'll like this.
I thought the prices were very reasonable especially considering I had the rump steak. Two mains, two desserts, a side of broccoli, two coffees and a cocktail came to just over £100.
Beware they add a 12.5% service tip which is the only reason I deducted 1* for service. Not the fault of the servers but I object to tips being automatically added. If service is good, and it was excellent on this occasion, we always tip but I don't appreciate it being added to the bill.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was just as impressive. We started with a creamy burrata served on a bed of fresh arugula, sweet roasted figs, and juicy pomegranate seeds, perfectly balanced with a drizzle of balsamic. The fried specialty with tomato sauce was crisp on the outside and full of flavor, paired wonderfully with the rich sauce and a touch of parmesan.
For dessert, we enjoyed a velvety tiramisu dusted with cocoa that was light yet indulgent, and a decadent chocolate creation drizzled with sauce and topped with shaved chocolate, a real treat for chocolate lovers.
Every dish was beautifully presented, full of flavor, and made the evening a truly enjoyable experience.

We had an amazing dinner today, and it was such a lovely experience from start to finish.
I went for the Hunter's Chicken Schnitzel with a side of halloumi fries, while my wife chose the signature burger both dishes were absolutely delicious. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is exactly what you’d want for a relaxing evening out warm, welcoming, and cozy. It felt inviting the moment we walked in, and it made our meal all the more enjoyable.
The staff were fantastic too really friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overbearing. They made us feel well looked after throughout our visit.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food in a cozy setting with excellent service.

This was a typical vintage in pub. I had Lamb Shank £25, which came in a nice red wine sauce. I could of done with a bit more sauce to be honest. My partner had a chicken schnitzel £17. My daughter had her wedding here recently and overall we were very happy with the venue.
Personally I think there are some details about the venue that could do with a refresh or renew but when balanced with the price compared to other nearby venues & given it's right on the banks of Loch Lomond, it's only fair to still give a 5* review.
In my opinion the outdoor pergola could do with a paint and refresh. It's great to have but looks like it's been neglected for a while. I wish we had taken our own postbox for the wedding cards because the one on the welcome table looked at least 30 years old. I'm sure they were like that when I got married in 1991! The table for the wedding cake was the right size but it didn't seem very steady and also looked too low. The "bride only" room is essentially a notice on the disabled toilet door. It's small and not great if the bride wants to change into a second dress for later in the evening. There was also nowhere to hang the wedding dress should she change. As this venue isn't linked directly to any accommodation I appreciate this isn't something that could be easily solved but I'm sure there must be a way! The newlyweds get a lodge overnight as part of the package but a 10am check out is a little bit early after a late night celebrating.
All of that being said we would still choose the venue again. The view is beautiful. The patio and terraces are very pretty. Of course the small jetty was perfect for a photo even on a moody Saturday in October.
The staff were great. From booking, to visiting, to taking in decor & dressing the venue the day before, they were very helpful. They do most of the dressing if needed; we only had to assemble the large hoop we wanted to use for photos in the evening.
As this was a joining of two people from different heritages we had enjoyed a banquet at another location the night before so at the Cruin we had prosecco & canapes on arrival with a buffet later in the evening. The food was excellent and there was a good selection for the 3 guests that must only eat gluten free.
As mother of the bride these were my observations from our engagement with the Cruin throughout the process and on the day. My daughter was very happy with her day and we would both highly recommend the Cruin for your special day.

We were married here last month. This is an amazing venue. It goes without saying that the location and views are stunning but David and the team are fabulous. From our first visit, nothing was too much trouble. The team are incredibly skilled at what they do, the day ran like clockwork and the team working with us were lovely. They really do put their customers first.
The food was amazing, all of our guests have all told us that it was the best food they've had at a wedding, and this also comes from a professional chef. The portions were huge and the presentation was excellent given the food was being served for such large numbers.
One of the plus points was all the accommodation nearby. We had a lot of guests stay in the lodges and it really helped them enjoy the day as they didn't have to worry about transport.
This is truly the most special place to get married. Getting married outside, with the view of Loch Lomond is just stunning and everyone at The Cruin is a joy to deal with.

Was lucky enough to get married at The Cruin in May and even luckier to have the ceremony outside on the day. The ceremony was perfect and the facilities and view offered by The Cruin helped elevate this and make our wedding perfect.
Hayley and David were a great help in walking us through our options and getting booked. On the day both were present and on hand and helped ease any worries. Both are very approachable and very customer focused.
One point worth noting is I for anyone considering a twilight wedding, please work with the staff to clarify requirements and guest numbers as early as possible. This would have helped us as it did mean some tweaks of layout were required. This could have perhaps been cleared up earlier but we did manage to find a solution for layout that met all goals considering our number of guests (90-100).
We opted for a buffet and were not disappointed. The food supplied had a good variety and catered for all. I would like to comment on the canopes but I think we had missed them by the time we wrapped up on photo’s.
In terms of the reception, the room is spacious and was able to cater for enough table space for all of our guests while leaving enough space for a top table and leaving the dance floor accessible.
One small thing that I would love to have changed would have been to have more experienced bar staff. This was the only nitpick the was fed back by guests. The feedback was that most of the cocktails requested could not be made. I appreciate that this may not be the direction the venue want to go down, but I think this should be something to reconsider in future if that is the case.
All in all, I would recommend The Cruin as a venue to anyone considering it as it is uniquely situated to give anyone the perfect picturesque wedding.

On Friday we went to Blue Lagoon Loch Lomond for lunch. The photo on the menu doesn’t do justice, we were about to leave, but my husband said let’s just order from here. OH MY GOD the fish was so good. The best thing is that they serve halal fish, they said halal will take about 15 minutes, but it came in less than 10 minutes. We all loved the food and service. Family of four enjoying a Scotland visit. We visited The Blue Lagoon in Balloch. The waiter was extremely helpful and polite. He could not do enough for us. He is polite and hard working. I just ordered a large portion of fries — half with salt & vinegar, and the other half with just salt.
This is now the third fish & chips shop we’ve tried. The vinegar is sprayed on, which makes it perfectly distributed.
Out of all three fish & chips shops we’ve tested, this one is our number one.
The fries taste like real potatoes and are perfect for our taste. Thank you for the wonderful flavor experience!

We initially came here just for desserts which turned out absolutely amazing! The cheesecake was rich & the raspberry sauce was nice and tart. The Victoria sponge cake was also moist & crumbly.
We then decided to have our dinner there too, and the food portions were generous. As a first-timer trying Haggis, the Haggis pakora was a good introduction. Not too oily, fried nicely & came with a refreshing dip on the side.
Will recommend for anyone coming to visit Loch Lomond for a day trip! Didn’t manage to try their breakfast items but my friend said their pancakes were really good :)

Extremely poor service! Waited half an hour to get menus at the table. Then after ordering waited another half an hour for drinks. The coffee is one of the worst we’ve ever had. I've read the reviews and I wasn't expecting a lot. But the children got excited about dinosaurs. And I have to say I was nicely surprised. The food was good. Vegan burger was great. There's not a lot of vegetarian options. Someone mentioned high prices however we paid £60 for 4 people so it's quite reasonable. The portions weren't huge. The pizza was on a smaller plate and 8year old had no issues finishing it. The staff was very nice and they were coming round with dinosaur puppets. Kids loved it. Was my daughters 1st birthday so booked a table for 18 people. Phoned me soon as the table was ready which was quick. Staff were friendly even the staff ages with me normally I find with most places staff that are ages with me never look happy at their job but I could not critise anyone. A nice place to take the kids, something a bit different. The service was ok. Food has the potential to be really nice however it was not great on this visit. I ordered a chicken, bacon and maple syrup waffle stack. The waffles were solid and the whole meal was really cold. The kids fish finger was very greasy. Being local to the area I haven't stayed in the hotel so this review relates to the bar/restaurant which we visited on a sunny Monday afternoon for dinner.
The Hotel is centrally situated in the heart of Balloch just a minute walk from the railway station. It is a modern bright establishment with an outdoor decked seating area to its front.
The bar/restaurant is spacious and tastefully decorated with a definite contemporary vibe and a relaxing atmosphere.
The staff are obviously experienced and provide and exemplary service.
The menu is quite limited but still offers a varied choice of dishes. I opted for the scallops and black pudding whilst my wife chose the pulled beef tacos. We both followed the starters with sirloin steaks and all the trimmings. Our meal was rounded off with desserts of caramel apple pudding and millionaire shortbread cheesecake.
In all the meal was exceptional. Scallops were juicy, steaks were succulent and cooked to perfection and the desserts rounded off a wonderful meal.
This was our first visit but we will definitely return soon.

We stayed for 3 nights and apart from the bins being emptied there didn’t seem to be any cleaning. Would've liked clean mugs and glasses each day. We didn't have breakfast when we left Glasgow so at 11:00 am plus we were looking for a place for breakfast in Balloch. We tried going to 3 other places prior...one said the breakfast was over, while another couldn't make us breakfast because they were too busy making drinks, and the third one which had a big sign for breakfast doesn't seem to care for non hotel guests. We stumbled into Scoops. It was cozy but very inviting. The young lady taking our order was very nice, so was the other lady who brought us the food. We ordered the family breakfast box . There was a lot of food. We were given 6 buttered buns and 4 each of the other items. We literally cannot finish them even though we (2 adults, a 17 and a 20 year old) were famished. First time eating black pudding and it was strange but most of us enjoyed it, but the potato scones were very good. Everything else was just as good. And all these cost less than £25. Well worth it. This is a nice little ice cream shop on one of the main drags of Balloch. It's right across the road from the Car Park for the Country Park and less than a five-minute stroll across the bridge from the train station. It sets nicely embedded with the other shops in a vintage block of businesses. There are just a couple of tables in the interior making for a cozy environment. The sweets available are tempting but, of course, we stopped specifically for the ice cream. We tried a two-scoop combo of Belgian Chocolate and Banana Caramel. It did not disappoint. The service was pleasant enough and efficient and the prices were not unreasonable. This is a lovely treat that I'd recommend if you're visiting Balloch and you enjoy a nice ice cream break.

We were out exploring in the early evening, having spent the day walking around and needed warming up, while we planned our next thing to do. The young lady who served us our hot brews (tea and coffees) was very hospitable and welcoming. We paid and on our way out, I asked where was a nice place to go and have a few drinks (alcoholic do t judge 😂). She gave us a few options of local pubs and we left to go and check a few out. We went for a late lunch. The portion of chips are very big for the price. The chips were hot and made fresh. The curry sauce and cheesy chips were so delicious. The chicken burger was good aswell. My panini was simple but very nice.
They had a good drink and cake selection.
The inside area is a bit cramped if you wish to sit down but they do offer takeaway and there is a nice park opposite.
We later returned for scoops of icecream. They were tasty and they have a variety of flavours aswell as choices of cones and tubs. They do have fresh cookie dough but we did not have time to wait the 10 mins for it too cook.

Probably one of the best Indian restaurants we’ve been in!
We had been travelling all day so we were quite hungry when we arrived, early evening, and without a reservation. Luckily they had a table free but over the next 30 mins the restaurant quickly filled up and it was clear that a lot of the diners were regulars as they were warmly greeted by the staff.
The food was exceptional! The flavours were amazing and potion sizes very generous. I had to help my husband eat his gulab jamun and it was so good!

We've dined in a few times and got takeaway many more and the food is always delicious. Tonight I tried the special Punjabi chilli chicken and it is by far and away my favourite dish of all time. Went in this evening for a carvery with my family and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Reading the reviews I didn't have high hopes but I have to admit it was actually pretty good.

Arrived for an afternoon meal with my wife who is disabled. The communication between the staff was subtle, not obvious and in no time at all, she was assisted at the otherwise self service area to ensure that she had all that she wanted and that her food was taken to our table. Very happy with the carvery. My only drop in point is slices of meat could have been thicker. Not taking anything away from the taste and quality, that was great. The veggies and gravy were yummy and plenty to choose from. I was to stuffed for a puddings, but my family all tucked in and devoured there plates of food. Amazing food and service. Went here as nice and close to the Lomond Wood holiday park. Greeted straight away when we arrived by an amazing waitress who delivered the best customer service we have had in a long time. She was great throughout and you could tell she was just naturally great at her job rather than the fake see customer service you get in most restaurants. Wasn’t too busy and not a huge restaurant so during peak season I’d suggest booking. Great menu choice typical of what you would expect. Definitely something available for all tastes and fussy eaters. Each dish we ordered was lovely although the spring roll starters were 4 small rolls and lacked much filling. The main courses by contrast were the best we have ever had. I had the mixed satay skewers which were absolutely stunning and could have eaten them 100 times over. The crispy chilly chicken had a fair kick but was also delicious. The restaurant had a lovely modern feel and was spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend here for excellent food and service and look forward to going back.

Stayed here recently. The hotel room itself was mostly good, very spacious, very comfortable bed. Great view out of the window. Room included a record player that was a nice touch. Lovely chocolates in the room and plenty of biscuits, teas and coffees.
The bathroom was the only letdown, as the door to the room was a fully transparent clear window with a kind of black tree sticker giving maybe 30% privacy at a push. I don't mind watching my wife shower but I do mind making eye contact whilst having a poo.
The shower handle required a lot of force to fully turn on, but it was good once you got there.
Dog friendly is a major plus.
The food we got in the dining area was unfortunately not as good as Instagram makes it look. I guess that's typical of Instagram making things look better, but it didnt live up to my expectations. Still decent, just not great.
As we had a dog we were sat in the dog area of the restaurant. This side had 100s of flies buzzing around. Not because of the dogs, they seemed to be very interested in one particular light fixture or smoke alarm, I can't quite remember, but focused on one part of the ceiling. They didn't come near our table or dinner, but it was still quite a buzz kill to have so many flies in the room. Staff seemed perfectly content to just walk through the cloud of flies as if they weren't even there.
Staff were otherwise friendly, can't really complain. They were nice to us and we heard them being good with other customers too.

My husband and I booked a weekend away for my birthday and we could not be happier with our choice. The rooms are modern, clean and spacious, with every little detail covered, from Netflix on the TV to the umbrella in the closet. Despite the restaurant being completely empty, we were seated at the very back next to the kitchen door. We could hear the bell ringing for our order — and we knew it was ours — but it still took ages before anyone brought it out. I almost felt like going to get it myself.

The gents toilets were on the other side of the restaurant which I imagine might be a bit of a hinderance on a busy night. Et enfin le sol de la tente est plus clean que le sol de l'hôtel !
Bref nous sommes habituées à dormir dans des endroits pas top confort, et nous sommes assez adaptables mais on veut quand même faire noter que ce n'est juste et pas correct de faire payer 100 livres par nuit pour un service si deplorable. Dans les hostel on a un service bien meilleur pour 3 fois moins le prix. Dommage, ça pourrait être un hôtel très cool, pas cher un peu Roots, mais convivial et accueillant !
