So happy with the food. Service is a little slow but in their defense they were very busy. Atmosphere inside the restaurant is beautiful and we would have enjoyed that. We ask to be moved to a both not far from us but we were told it was for five people and we are only four. Best meal I have had in Scotland in 6 weeks! Took a chance on a late meal here while driving through town. For only £20 I had an entire meal with appetizer! Started with papadom crispy chickpea flour with 4 chutneys. Then delicious Lemon Lamb with sauce & a side of garlic mushroom rice. Everything was cooked to perfection. The rice was perfectly buttery with each kernel separated as it should be. The flavors were so fresh and delicious. The lamb was cooked perfectly and tender. The heated plates were such a nice detail, keeping the food hot for the duration of the meal. The tables were set with white linens and cloth napkins. I noticed they have a full bar too. Everything is so clean and the owner and staff are really nice and welcoming. They served a complementary chocolate mint wafer at the end, which was such a nice touch. So grateful to find this gem. Oh and also the music was wonderful; afrobeats with neo soul. It was a perfect experience. Definitely coming back. Bonus: It was so easy to find both gluten free & vegetarian options.

Overall, well worth a visit and I'll go back when I'm in Lanark again.

We booked last night and were not surprised what a great variety on the menu. Even better food in our view was excellent. Steak and Sausage Pie and great dunking gravy, side of French fries and veg. The staff were lovely and the food in the restaurant was very nice but our main reason for staying was to make use of the spa facilities. Unfortunately, the swimming pool and jacuzzi were both very cold. My wife spoke to a member of staff who checked the temperature and confirmed it was several degrees less than it should've been. We'll never return for a 'sit in' meal again, but would certainly use for 'carry out. Felt a bit cheated being charged 'dine in' prices tho! Compliments to the chef.
