They deserve 6 stars in every category- but the food is where they truly shine. Everything we tried was exceptional and well-crafted, served at appropriate temperatures (what was meant to be hot was served HOT), and it was easy to see the chef really takes pride in their work. We sat at the bar, and Joey the bartender was wonderful. He is a total foodie and made me the best mocktail I've ever had (dealer's choice). Hayley (a guess on the spelling) was also incredible and recommended the truffle amberjack, which is a must. In addition to that, we got udon carbonara, the oxtail uni waygu brioche appetizer, brussels sprouts, a variety of rolls, and sake cheesecake. Each was incredible in their own right. Truly cannot wait to return and try the rest of the menu! Shimogamo is easily one of the top 5 restaurants I've ever eaten.

The food has some of the best in the valley, who would have thought being so far from the sea. However, Temari has solved that problem with fresh daily deliveries. And for the finale, Kei brought out a cinnamon pastry, decorated with 1 candle & 3 edible flowers. It was delicious. Again, this place is 100% legit with top-notch service!

First thing I noticed is hwo bright and clean the place is. It looks bigger. It is bright, airy, open, and not so dark. I like that change. The bathrooms are bright and clean! The service was great. We LOVED our old servers but lets admit it was not very attentive. The place was packed on Saturday night and our servers was great- friendly, kind, and attentive. We spoke with the new owner-Jinsu- many times and he was great. Now to the important stuff- the food: I will start with my truly only negative- The staple of Temari is the Primo Roll. They have made it spicier- almost too spicy. It was good, mind you, but I want my original primo, drowning is sauces, mild taste. This was upsetting, but,again, the new Primo was very good..just not the Primo.. :( White dragon- amazing- Less eel flakes on top which allowed the fish to be the hero. It was also less smoky. This was delicious and for my favorite roll, I am very happy. Amazing Grace was clean and fresh and well balanced. My wife loved the new Salmon pepper- seemed cleaner and crisper. She wanted a second roll, but we had just finished 7. :) Las Vegas- delicious- less breading, more fish, less crispy- more like a soft shell crab. A fantastic roll- Far less sauce which allows fish to come through Pretty in Pink- still a sweet favortite but without the pink flakes I could taste the delicious fish. Hamachi- was absolutely amazing!! Fantastic.. Overall we really enjoyed the New Temari. Instead of comparing, I think we will close the book on Danny and Saki's Temari which brought us so much joy and delicious food over the years. We look back fondly on it and wish Saki and Danny nothing but the absolute best- Thank you both for bringing such delicious sushi and joy to our lives. Now, we open a new chapter with Jinsu's Temari- which from our first visit could our sushi place for the next 15 years!

This spot seems like it is a hot spot for birthday & similar celebrations. They have an assortment of regular menu items to order such as appetizers and sushi, or you can order teppanyaki and have it made on the grill right in front of you. Every teppanyaki plate comes with rice, some veggies, two shrimp plus your choice of meats along with a small salad and soup. I am not a huge fan of the dressing they use, so I didn't eat the salad but the soup was good despite being just a broth with two small mushrooms floating in it. My teppanyaki dish was delicious, the meat was cooked just right and I enjoy the sauce they serve with it. I do wish that the veggies had been cooked slightly more and they could use slightly bigger portions for the meats with how much each dish is. While I do understand that part of the cost of the meal is the entertainment from watching the chef cook, a bigger protein portion I think would help balance out the cost. Especially since most parties will typically type the chef as well before he leaves the table. Our table also had some of their sushi, spicy edamame and dumpling. All three dishes were enjoyable and I didn't have any issue with them. A family member of ours treated us to a dinner here for my husbands birthday & had mentioned to the staff that it was his birthday. At the end of our meal they brought over some small cakes, a big candle & a fun mask for my husband to wear while they played some loud drums and a happy birthday song. You'll frequently hear this through out your dinner as almost every table there had someone celebrating either a birthday or another event. The chef who did our teppanyaki had also made my husband a balloon headband to wear because it was his birthday & the chef liked his hair style. This spot is a little pricey per person for a meal, but to visit for a celebration or a once in a while thing I think it is worth it for the experience! Make sure to call ahead and make a reservation, depending on the time and day you visit it will be packed.

We ate here during the week when it wasn't busy at all so the ordering and receiving the food was fast. The wait staff is attentive and the food quality is great. So far we've had the Katsu, Kazu, Tonkotsu, Shoyu, Katsu-men, karaage, gyoza, iced matcha and takoyaki. Honestly everything here is very delicious. We love the ramen from the noodles to the broth. I definitely cannot recommend the iced matcha though. I love matcha but this is like a very watered down version of matcha. As in they made matcha, poured half the cup full of water, then added ice. I only tried it when we dined in and it wasn't to my liking nor what I had expected an iced matcha to be. We would eat here more if the take out process wasn't such madness. Every time I've called to place a to go order I have to call 6-10 times before I finally get through to someone. It will kick you to voicemail right away or ring a couple times before taking you to voicemail. They do have an online ordering system which I would love to take a part of, but it cost more money! The items through online ordering are marked up even if you're choosing to pickup the order and not have it delivered. If the owner is reading this, please fix this. Whether I'm calling in to place a to go order or using your online website to place a to go order, the food should cost the same. If I have to call in, then don't have it were I have to call 6-10 times to finally be answered.
