True to its name "Kasturi" a strong positive fragrance & female name - A group of ladies run (Mahila Udyog) in the heart of Alibag is a highly recommended & must-visit restaurant for its authentic & delicious coastal Maharashtrian seafood.
The ambiance has a nice laid-back back town-like, neat & clean minimalistic decor, and feels homely.
Their staff is polite & smilingly willing to suggest a dish to try ...I had ordered Surmai thali (INR475) which was delicious and in fact in good quantity.
This place opens for lunch at 1 pm only gets filled up soon..so try to be early. Since only 1 lady attends all the guests' tables, the service takes a long time, but it's worth the wait..be ready for a minimum of 30 mins before u will be served. I didn't mind the wait the lady seemed efficient & attentive to the needs of the customer.

For dessert, the aamras stood out as a nostalgic treat, evoking the essence of a grandmother’s recipe with its light mango sweetness, a touch of sugar, and a whisper of black cardamom. The bite-sized gulab jamun was equally delightful, perfectly soaked and irresistibly juicy.

My farewell trip to Alibaug with my three closest friends turned into a culinary memory I’ll cherish forever—thanks to Kasturi Restaurant (Kasturi Mahila Gruh Udyog). Nestled near the beach, this women-led gem impressed us with its warmth, authenticity, and absolutely lip-smacking Konkani food.
We visited for lunch and ordered a feast: Pomfret Thali, Surmai Thali, Pomfret Fry, Surmai Fry, Prawns Fry and .Thali. Every single dish was a burst of flavor—freshly prepared, perfectly spiced, and served with genuine hospitality. The fish was incredibly fresh and cooked just right, with the surmai and pomfret standing out for their melt-in-the-mouth texture and traditional masala coating.
Yes, we had to wait a little, but the homely vibe and anticipation only made the experience better. The fact that this place is run entirely by women adds a special charm and purpose to every bite.

It’s a great place to eat fish definitely, and quite near to Alibaug beach. The taste was good but could have been a bit more spicy with Agri masala. The atmosphere is family oriented hence a recommended place. Owner and staff are really friendly. Has a Maharashtrian touch. Car Parking can be done nearby but not on busy days however manageable as staff helps in it. Service is excellent. Has AC/Non AC dining and Washroom and toilet facility.

Visited Shalimar Hotel recently and had a pretty disappointing experience with the food. We ordered their special fish thali, which included pomfret fry, surmai curry, two bhakris, and prawn biryani. Unfortunately, none of the fishes were fresh. the flavours felt flat and lacked the usual freshness you expect in a coastal meal.
The prawn biryani was also underwhelming. It tasted more like coloured rice mixed with prawn curry rather than an actual biryani.
We also ordered chicken tandoori, which came partially overcooked and dry in some sections.
Overall, the meal didn’t live up to expectations, especially considering the items ordered. Hoping the quality improves in the future.

The menu covers a good variety of options that are relatively easy on your wallet.
A bit compact on the space but the limited space if efficiently utilized.
We had ordered the mix sauce pasta and a cheese burst Farmhouse pizza.
One of the best pizzas I ever tasted. This place gives the real meaning to the phrase "cheese burst". The pasta had a very balanced taste with ample amount of cheese and olives.
The drinks ordered were also delightful and very much affordable.

Visited New Hotel Sanman Fine Dine Restaurant (नविन होटल सन्मान फाइन डाइन रेस्टोरेंट) on 19th June 2025 for a late lunch around 4 PM while returning from Revdanda side. The restaurant is located just off the Revdanda bypass road, Alibag – easy to spot and they have a dedicated parking area too, which is a big plus.
Unfortunately, I reached almost at their closing time as they shut down between 4 PM and 7:30 PM. Still, they were polite enough to take the order and serve without rushing us. I tried their veg mayra dish – which is like a vegetable keema and definitely something different and worth trying (₹279). Along with that, I had a dal tadka (₹199), steam rice (₹139), 2 butter rotis (₹35 each), 4 chapatis (₹19 each), 1 masala papad (₹49), and a mineral water bottle (₹25). The total came to ₹878 with taxes.
The place is known more for its thali and seafood options, which I noticed were being ordered a lot at other tables. The ambience is clean, spacious, and family-friendly. Their washrooms were surprisingly well maintained and clean – not something you find easily on highways. Overall, I’d say it’s one of the better dining options if you're heading towards or coming from Alibaug beach. Definitely recommended!

Went here with friends for lunch, it was a pleasant experience, it's located right at the non accessible beach with a nice view, it was heavily raining when we went so couldn't enjoy the view or the outdoors much. The food was really well prepared. All the baked items were spot on. Pizza were the best, fish, prawns and mutton was really well prepared. Biryani, Sizzler preparations and starters were great. Do try the mango/papaya salad. It was outstanding.
Cocktails that I chose were amazing too, I was super happy with the quality and the service. The chef definitely gets 5/5 for the execution.

The location is perfect, just a short walk from Mandwa Port, and offers stunning views of the sea, especially if you're lucky enough to grab a seaside table. Visited today had been on the list forever but somehow we always missed it. Finally made it, and it was a nice spot. They’ve got some healthy options too, which isn’t that common in Alibaug. Really liked the vegan spinach wrap and shakshuka fresh and nicely done.
Also tried the espresso
soaked French brioche and the flourless chocolate cake both were interesting and pretty good. Cappuccino hit the spot, and the juice was super refreshing. Staff were attentive polite and service was fast. Overall, a chill and good experience.

We went here for breakfast around 9:30 AM — although the cafe wasn’t open yet (Google mentioned 8:30 AM), they were kind enough to host us after we requested. The food was absolutely brilliant! We tried the paneer akoori, chilli cheese toast, omelette, cold coffee, and hot coffee — everything was amazing, especially the paneer akoori. The toast was soft yet perfectly crunchy. Such a lovely experience overall — will definitely visit again soon! ☕🍞✨

Fab experience ! The food & ambience is absolutely amazing. It's a great place to celebrate & just chill. A much needed place especially for all Bombayites to just unwind. Had an awesome experience at Kikis last night. The food is of exceptional quality and very flavourful. We ordered the paneer chilli and potato skin nachos - both were fresh and tasty. Also, they were kind enough to customize a smoothie as per my requirements.
The staff is very polite and not over bearing. I would definitely visit again.
