The fish was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked, with generous portions and real attention to flavour. We were given to understand that their ingredients were sourced locally. This gives the food a home-grown quality you can genuinely taste. And if you're there, don’t skip dessert; their homemade ice creams are excellent (milk from a local farm I believe), with rich flavours and a creamy texture that make the perfect finish to the meal. Hooked@31 got such rave reviews I decided to chance it for lunch. The young lady who served me was very professional friendly and welcoming. Our food was cooked to order piping hot and it was absolutely delicious. The cod fish was beautifully fresh and white cooked to perfection with a very light crunchy batter. The chips were perfect too. We sat on a bench eating our food overlooking Lower Town in Fishguard. What a perfect setting. I can understand why people come from miles around to visit Hooked@31. Shame we live over 300 miles away!

The sauce, wow, it elevated the fish n chips and they were delicious to start with. Served in a cardboard box, the portions were generous, the cost was both reasonable and fair especially as it was all cooked fresh to order. The fish was amazing, very moist. the batter was just right, not too thick/thin and complimented the thick piece of perfectly cooked fish inside. Chips tasted pretty good too, golden colour with a hint of a crisp outside with fluffy inside. There was a small queue when I arrived and apparently that's the norm as the shop cooks everything to order so nothing is left under the counter lights to be served dry! They have a great range of fresh fish options, catch of the day being one of them, cant wait to try the hake! Chicken nuggets are proper pieces of chicken breast battered in their own batter in store, not the usual cheap frozen efforts that are passed off as nuggets. A great menu - the best fish and chip shop I've ever seen or used, and so said my unexpected guests! I have since discovered they do have a website (I'm a bit of a techno phobe, so wont be using it myself) You can order online and collect at a time to suit you. My friends said they would definitely recommend doing that as this place gets very busy and after tasting the food, it's easy to see why. Great food, great prices, happy , helpful staff. Staff is incredibly nice, welcoming and knowledgeable about all their products. Fish is great, haddock and MSc certified Cod (even if I rather not eat cod as the stock is really low, something certification can't change as of now). Get ur fish and walk 100m to the view point with the cannons, where there are benches and tables to eat your fish and chips with a view. We booked on to the Flower arranging course which was done by Penny at Pembrokeshire Flower Farm, and then finished off with the most delicious array of food for our Afternoon tea. Salad with the kebab was lovely and fresh but the chilli sauce is a killer, go easy on it. You Get a good portion of chips more then enough for 2 people. Second meal was a chicken tandoori pizza. Price was reasonable for a 9inch. Plenty of fillings on the pizza and big enough for two people to share with ease. Tasted ok, not the best I've had, the tandoori chicken didn't taste of very much and was quite bland.

However, last night was a completely different story. We only order two things: a chicken and mushroom pizza (as that's all I'll eat) & a doner calzone (which is all he eats). We got our order at 9:45pm and drove the 25 mins home. The calzone was cooked on the outside, but completely raw inside. The filling was cooked and fine, but the dough itself was not. The first guy we spoke to said the calzone is how it comes! Then the manager came out and was happy to refund the calzone but as that's how the pizza has always been he wasnt doing a refund for that. My husband said is there nothing you can do at all? He said no. After all this we won't be going back.

A lovely little site. The pitches are ample for tents with room to relax outside. Our two boys loved the freedom of being able to play by the tent and the security knowing they’re safe. The toilets and washing up areas are always clean and the showers are the best I’ve had camping. Hot water always and a good pressure. The Pantry was lovely, food great and the staff fantastic. Everyone there respected the rules and it was nice a peaceful. We could relax whilst the children played. The site was also very clean and tidy. Nice towns and places to visit within a reasonable driving distance. We’d not stayed before but said on the way home we’d definitely go back. A lot less stressful than other holidays we’d been on.

We have a large tent with extension which we sometimes struggle to find sites to accommodate or we have to book well in advance, however it was lost in the plot leaving plenty of room for the car and still room to play in your own plot, each plot separated by a strip of longer cut grass which defines your space perfectly. Each plot has its own log fire pit, logs available to buy on site at a reasonable price, some plots even have park benches, which I am sure get moved around. The toilet facilities are well kept, with additional hand wash soap, tha same goes for the washing up area which has washing bowls and washing up liquid at each station which doesn't seem to get stolen, shows what a little trust can do. Nice touch. The showers are amazing, full height rain head with full body shower jets, each in it's own room with lots of space, both, toilet and shower block are clean and tidy at all times. The on site Restaurant serves amazing food and the staff are friendly and polite, the only complaint is our booking coincided with two closed days so only dined once which was a shame as we would have definitely dined there more, worth checking if you can be flexible with your booking. The site is located a reasonable walk and centrally to a short drive to stunning sandy beaches in each direction. Overall, great site with a mix of different types of travellers, most of which seem to be regular visitors. The owners of this site have got the balance just right. We would definitely stay here again.

The location of the site is good, very peaceful, the site itself would benefit from some TLC, it's very tired and quite unkempt. Showers are very good and look fairly new, toilets are clean but above eyelevel is filthy, ledges full of dead insects which have clearly been there for a long time. Pitch numbers are barely legible, the posts with electric points on need painted, grass needs cut, grounds need weeded and tidied up. On a positive note the bar/restaurant is fab, amazing food and brilliant staff. Other guests had problems which were not attended to and in fact they left early. It's a shame, I dont think I would return.

We weren't able to book one glamping pod for three full nights so we stayed in both the cabin and the pod. Colin and Sam were so accommodating at making the transition smooth and it was fun to experience both! The interior of the cabin was amazing and so nice to have an ensuite, and the outdoor area was enclosed and great for the dog. The pod was also really cosy and the kitchen was great with a bar area with a great view! We will happily come back and would love to try the dome next! Thank you 😀
