Never visited Wahaca before, but looked at the menu before visiting. We were shown to our table and told that Miguel would be looking after us. He was fantastic. He asked if we’d visited Wahaca and we said ‘no’ so he went through and explained the menu. My husband changed his mind after the recommendation from Miguel, so he had the platter for one. He gave us plenty of time to choose drinks and then shortly after took our food order (I spoke in Spanish to him when ordering), so we had nice conversations during food being brought to the table and whilst ordering puddings etc. the food was fantastic (I had the sunshine bowl with chicken and our daughter had the club tacos). He asked if we had allergies. We shared Churros for pudding 🥰🥰🥰🥰. Miguel was friendly, courteous and professional and made our first visit very memorable. My husband and I had wonderful Tequila based cocktails and our daughter had a coke. We paid about £90 we thought was great value. Would definitely visit again. The food was simply spot on – amuse bouche was amazing, the chicken was perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavour. Each course was a delight - small plates as per a taster menu, each was packed full of flavour, impeccably cooked and an exciting experience. Excellent restaurant with Michelin star quality food and service. We had the long tasting menu and each course was delicious. My wife is lactose intolerant and they accommodated to her needs with no issues. It is pricey but that is to be expected for the quality of food. Courses were weighted towards fish so non fish lovers would struggle with the tasting menu. But having said that I'm not a huge fan of fish but I enjoyed every course. The staff were genuinely lovely, really polite and doing their best, but the service was just far too slow. A Google search brought this place up and the reviews looked great....so I thought I would give it a try. (FYI I am Gujarati). The server was efficient and friendly, the resturant has a sort of charm about it. Sadly the food was a let down. I ordered a plain dosa and a mixed platter of snacks, with salted lasi. The lasi was nice (it's really hard to get that wrong!). The plain dosa was not crispy at all. In fact you would expect a dosa to hold up its rolled up shape, not the one that I got.....it was flat, not crispy, and the flavour was only just passable. The plate of mixed small bites was awful....I left most of it. I think the waiter must have thought I was full and offered to pack it for me to take away - I said no thanks. I was genuinely so disappointed, I was looking forward to some homely food, I can't see myself coming back here. I couldn't work out why the reviews were so high, I think all I can put it down to is the the large majority of reviews are from non-gujarati customers, the lack of other options in Cardiff for similar food...... come on Cardiff, you can and should do better. And as for the owners of the resturant, I know you cook better than what you serve at home, do the same in your restaurant so others can appreciate the wonders of Gujarati food like we do at home. I had to grab a subway on my way back to my hotel!

We have dined at Asador a number of times and it never disappoints. The atmosphere and décor is warm and welcoming, as are the staff. James who served us was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. Went for lunch and had been recommended it. The place has a good vibe for a restaurant. It wasn’t super busy when I went but I’ve heard it does in the evenings and weekends. The key to this place is the skewers. They cook the meat and fish on heavy duty skewers and then suspend them above the table. Part of the experience is pulling down off the skewer when you’re ready for your next bite. We got beef and also prawn and monkfish. I loved the monkfish, it’s a meaty fish and complimented the prawns very well. The beef was cooked well and had a sumptuous taste. Service was good, we got to choose our table and we sat opposite the kitchen and could see them cooking and preparing the food. It added to the memory. It’s good value. Good for groups and dates. However, we called in here this weekend - which happened to be a Rugby International weekend -and was given a set menu where the price was £45 per head! This is total and utter profiteering - they are going to be doing roaring business anyway as Cardiff is always rammed on an international day, but they are more than doubling the price of the set meal. It's not as if it's Christmas Day and they have to pay double time etc. This is a normal Saturday which just happens to have a rugby game on it town. Naturally, we just walked out in disgust. So, not only did they loose our custom on Saturday, but due to their total greed, they will also loose our custom from now on. Making a nice profit is the reason to be in business, but totally exploiting your customers is not on. I urge customers to think where they spend their hard earned cash and think about the brands that treat them with respect.

Nicely situated just out of Cardiff and easy to get to we went for a breakfast. Quite a busy little place but as it is adjacent to a Premier Inn that is the reason mainly . As what seems to be the normal now, you have to input your vehicle reg into the console upon entry. We paid £17.99 for an unlimited breakfast & a continental breakfast. Along with the cooked breakfast, you had choices of cereal, toast and yoghurt. The bacon was nice but the eggs were swimming in liquid and trying to actually get one one your plate was like a Fisherman trying to land a catch.... It just kept sliding off the slice utensil everytime. Only the bacon & beans were edible so didn't really entice me to benefit from the unlimited part. The 2 bowls of Kellogs cereal had to surfice. Also there was only plain Greek yoghurt, no other flavours so I suppose the bowl of fruit provided next to them was the 'flavoured' bit option. Nice atmosphere in the dining area and the staff friendly but the food isn't quite as it should be. Can't comment on other food options later in the day so hopefully better

Noodles, broth, toppings and all were pretty on point. I also ordered a second bolw, a regular shoyu ramen and that was a letdown. The noodles were tremendous broken to the point you could just spoon them from the broth. I’ve voiced comments about the noodles to one of the waiters who so kindly checked with the chef. The reason given was they over stirred the noodles. This is akin to having chopped up spaghetti which is a cardinal sin in Italian cooking. Check out the pics. I was in the mood for an authentic Italian meal and knew I wanted pasta. On arrival they had one table left as I hadn’t booked which was by the door. It’s a bit of a mish mash of a seat there and kinda feels like it’s there to maximise the covers but either way I was by myself and had a seat. I saw numerous people turned away (politely) throughout my meal as they hadn’t booked. When I left the place was full both inside and out so I can only infer it has a good reputation locally. I ordered the tagliatelle carbonara and a coke. Coke came quickly and the carbonara in about 15 minutes which indicates it was probably made from scratch. The carbonara was decent. It was slightly heavy and I only just finished it but I did like the flavour. It had an abundance of pancetta. Normally places skimp on this as it’s the most expensive component but here there was tonnes. It was nice but in a weird way kinda threw me. Venue is small and contained but the service manages to weave in and out. I was shown the specials which on another day sounded delicious. It’s not cheap but it did feel like good value and liked the atmosphere. I would go again. And again the service stood out.

The chips were lovely, the tomato looked rotten so left that, the peppercorn sauce was lovely! and the peas were not the best. overall probably wouldn’t go back here unless there was some major improvements.

I'm now very sad it is 200 miles away from where I live because the cooking is just lovely! I had their rabbit stifado special (£19.50) and it was one of those dishes which, even as a keen cook, makes you want to hang up your pots and pans because you know you'll never be able make something that delicious. It even had kidneys and livers, and whole juniper berries. My mother-in-law had moussaka; the white sauce was velvety and creamy flavoured with lovely levels of spice. My partner had chicken spits; the chicken was tasty, with a beautiful char, and the pitta was soft, moist, and clearly homemade. The aubergine salad starter was also beautiful. Simple, fresh, tasty, and so much more than the sum of it's parts. Tiny wine list (one of each colour) but we had a bottle of white (£23) and it was delicious and all you would ever need. Service was warm and friendly, and as we didn't have time for desert, they gave us a quick free dish of dough balls, honey, and cinnamons to share quickly, which was delightful. I hope to get back there before I leave on Monday to try their beef stifado with greek pasta. If you are in the area and what something genuinely proper to eat, you would mad to miss this place.

On one occasion, the restaurant was playing non-Greek music, which took away from the authentic atmosphere. I think one improvement that could be made is to the seating area on the ground floor. It crowds the bar a bit which can quickly become a bottleneck when the venue is busy. The theatre rooms themselves were brill, great to see the sound and stage effects team working behind the scenes at the rear of the seating area. I've only been to see a theatre show here once but it was great. The Caffi Bar serves excellent food and drink and is a lovely place to chill out by yourself or with friends. Lockers avalible so you can store your stuff safely whilst you play. Lots of flashing lights so just be prepared if you suffer with migraines or medical episodes which might be affected by this. Myself and my partner have been visiting for a few years now with our visits ranging from busy Saturday afternoon bottomless brunches with a large group of us to our most recent visit for bottomless brunch on 2/11 just the 2 of us. I booked it an hour before we arrived at the 7.30pm slot not realising they close the bar at 9.30pm but was a little panicked when I realised as thought I may feel rushed. Every single time we have been no matter the group size, time or day of the week the staff have gone above and beyond and we have never had a bad experience, and last night was no exception. We were the last ones in for the evening and were not made to feel rushed at all, quite the opposite. Kasia, Francesco and tia were superb hosts as always. Helpful, attentive, chatty and still smiling even at the very end of what was probably a busy day. This particular branch has a sort of family feel to it, the staff have absolute pride in their work and make sure they are giving top quality service no matter the time or day. When we have been in previously on busier days with large groups the service has been no different with kasia, Francesco and Lynne being all serving us on different occasions with exactly the same welcoming friendly and efficient service. They always make time for you no matter how busy. Would highly recommend

We were able to book a table quite late in the day for the four of us and service was excellent throughout. I've visited Bill's in Gloucester on more than one occasion and thoroughly enjoyed the experience each time. I ain't going back to Bill's in the Bay. I had some excess liquid on my plate, which I wasnt sure what from, I assume water from the egg and it had made part of my muffin so soggy I couldn't eat it and for the price we paid those things were a bit dissapointing but overall it was ok.

Sunday lunch was delicious, plenty of gravy and vegetables to go with cooked to perfection meats which fell apart especially the beef. Would definitely come back to try other menu options.
