Awful pub which we visited last night. A few local middle aged men were grouped round the very small serving area. No one moved so my husband had to shout our order over their shoulders. It's as good as all the well known London pie and mash shops I ate at growing up. Walton is a lovely little down to earth seaside town and we always enjoy a walk after our lunch. We visited with our 8 month old baby this time who enjoyed her first pie and mash. Space can be a bit tight and it gets busy at peak times but people come and go so it doesn't take too long for a seat to become available. The apple pie is also amazing.

Looking for somewhere to eat and came across Harbour Lights Seafood Restaurant and booked a table. One of the best meals we’ve ever had. For starters we had oysters, along with squid and prawns. For mains we had steak, haddock, paella and whole lobster. When we went to Oban earlier in the year this is what I was expecting but left feeling deflated as none of the restaurants we visited had a seafood menu anywhere close to this. Highly recommend

Was way bussier than expected, so recommend to reserve in advance. Everything was top noch and showed care and consideration. The restaurant is very well situated, with beautiful marine views, super tidy inside and out, comfortable sitting, professional and friendly service, good quality fresh seafood, and reasonable prices. Had native and rock oysters for starters together with seafood platter for two. For mains, we had lobster with salad and chips and cajun salmon. Lobster and native oysters were my favourite and one of the best I've had. Would recommend to any seafood lover with confidence.

Greasiest tasting fish burnt batter chips were burnt also. Extortionate prices how can they justify £2.45 for pickled onion and that was bone dry ! Grandson had a chicken burger which had a hair inside .My daughter raved how good this chip shop was but even she agreed that it had gone down hill. It was so greasy that I vomited badly in the way to the car and when I got back to my daughters. The after taste was disgustingly from the food . Needless to say was a lot of leftovers in our plates. First of all, the location is odd, being in a very residential. The appearance is of a standard builders cafe from the outside, not somewhere you would expect to sell anything homemade or worth travelling for. Inside it's slightly nicer, though still minimalist and bare. Don't visit expecting plush seats and grand decor! We visited on a Saturday evening, meaning they're was only a tapas menu (we were aware of this and deliberately attended for the tapas). The menu was coincide with fan favourites (patatas braves, calamari) with a few less well known dishes and a nice selection of specials (Galician style octopus on potato with paprika). In all the food was lovely. A few issues; the squid was frozen and pre bought, the mixed fish croquettas were very bland and potato-ey. But on the whole it was a lovely meal. The octopus was brilliant, and the mussels (what little we had - our son took a liking to them!) Lovely. All the obviously home prepared dishes were excellent. Service was also friendly, though a towards the end it took a while to get hold of the waitress (who was fantastic throughout especially to the boy). If you are in the area don't hesitate to visit, though not entirely sure how far it is worth travelling for...

They even have an area for the kids to play in which was fantastic as my husband and I could actually sit down whilst they were wonderfully engaged. They have high chairs and a baby change which made life so easy. The food is totally delicious and home made. They cater amazingly well for gluten free eaters, and even have a separate fryer for gluten free food - so at long last I could have chips!! WOW I'm so glad we went in the staff were all super friendly from the office. Was seated immediately even though no booking was made. I've had a fair few Turkish meals and this was miles better than anything I've ever had previously. The warm bread was plentiful and along with the most tastiest chilli sauce/ garlic mayo and olives a lovely start!. We opted to share a starter hich was the creamy garlic mushrooms which didn't disappoint, huge portion good for 2 with the bread. Both had our favourite dish which was Chicken Betyi. Stunning food and again a huge portion. Not sure what dressing they put on the salad but it was amazing. 1 pint of efes, diet coke, mushroom starters and 2 huge Betyi's £44. Amazing value. Met the owner, lovely man. We live in Wickford an hour away but honestly we will return. Thank you

We politely showed them, they took it away grqciously and brought a new dish again found hair. Then they offered an alternative dish which was ok. Didnt find hair in mine unless i ate it haha.
