Greasiest tasting fish burnt batter chips were burnt also. Extortionate prices how can they justify £2.45 for pickled onion and that was bone dry ! Grandson had a chicken burger which had a hair inside .My daughter raved how good this chip shop was but even she agreed that it had gone down hill. It was so greasy that I vomited badly in the way to the car and when I got back to my daughters. The after taste was disgustingly from the food . Needless to say was a lot of leftovers in our plates. It's as good as all the well known London pie and mash shops I ate at growing up. Walton is a lovely little down to earth seaside town and we always enjoy a walk after our lunch. We visited with our 8 month old baby this time who enjoyed her first pie and mash. Space can be a bit tight and it gets busy at peak times but people come and go so it doesn't take too long for a seat to become available. The apple pie is also amazing.

We ordered two 14" pizzas for £10.99 each (which is fantastic price) and the Chicken Deluxe Burger with cheesy fries. Have to say the pizzas looked great, with generous helping of toppings. My chicken burger with hash browns was one of the nicest I've ever had. Enormous portion of chips with loads of melted, flavoursome cheese. Would 100% come back here when we stay again

We spent around £70, paying part cash and part card, yet I was still made to pay extra for sauces. After that, I asked to buy some chilli sauce and was told I couldn’t because of a £5 card minimum. To make it worse, the member of staff gave me the most ridiculous excuse – that he “pays a pound a pepper.” Considering I’d just spent £70, this felt insulting and showed no regard for customer service. The food itself wasn’t much better. The battered sausage was overcooked, the sausages were dry, and the fish tasted old. For the price, I expected far better quality. On top of that, the small gentleman with grey hair who served us was rude and dismissive, which really soured the whole experience. Overall, both the food and the service were very disappointing. When you’re spending that kind of money, you expect to be treated with respect and served food that’s worth the price.

They arrived and were very poor quality, basically inedible. Rung them and sent the food back and when I rung to see what was going on with my replacement ( that was guaranteed in the previous phone call) , I spent 18 minutes on the phone arguing with the owner. He yelled down the phone as to why it was my mistake and to order something I actually like next time along with I was just trying to scam money and a free meal out of him and that we were also lying about not liking the food (there is way too much to write already and that was just partial to what he said overall) . The service is severely poor from the owner and coming from someone who works in the hospitality industry means something as we always kind of give way. He did not understand as to why I was asking for a refund / replacement as he said the kebab was “very well done”. Let him know I wasn’t happy with the food and calmly suggested over and over that if he would like to keep his locals happy and his business thriving that he rectifies his mistakes…. Only to be told it was my mistake again. In the end (once we finally got there) he told me if I wanted a refund I would have to walk to the shop (probably thinking I weren’t going to turn up) So I did and got the refund with no problems. His attitude changed drastically once I was stood in front of him. Never will he be getting my business again and really wouldn’t recommend unless your looking for a very very last resort ……
