This is a steakhouse with all the character of yesteryear, dimly lit, woody, and decorated with memorabilia and photos commemorating a time when going out for dinner was an event and experience. The aroma of flavors fill the restaurant and start to make your mouth water, especially when the flaming saganaki is extingushed...be prepared for your stomach to start doing cartwheels...and when asked, always say, "Yes, I'll have it Greek Style"! We have always had EXCELLENT and attentive service from the experienced wait staff, these folks are part of the charm and culture of this establishment...a genuine professional, and knowledgeable staff. Sadly, we recently had an experience that wasn't exactly great. No need to go into too much detail, but I assume our waiter was new and may have been having a bad day or maybe a little over-whelmed, (idk), but it really reflected on our experience. Anyway, whatever the reason, the management recognized the mishaps immediately, and rescued the moment. I am in the people business and obsessed with good customer service and the I felt compelled to share our experience with the management team, which is a little outside my comfort zone...but they had to know. All too often you don't hear from the disgruntled customer...they show their satisfaction by never returning or smear on social media. The folks at LOG CABIN went over and above, and saved our evening by creating an experience for which we will return. They had nice gluten free options as well. Even tho they are known for their burgers,we decided on the gluten free cheezy beef and the breaded grouper platter. My wife loved the beef sandwich. The service was friendly, helpful and efficient. Our waitress knew the menu well and helped with decisions. She came back with the regular dessert and a mini version with a tiny spoon. She gave that to my dad and gave the regular sized one to my mom. Needless to say we were all dying in laughter. The peppers were barely cooked and very crunchy which is not something I like when I'm eating and omelette. My husband's pancakes didn't look very appetizing and they did taste halfway okay. When we were getting ready to leave there was a waitress that was waiting on another table and said what can I get for you to drink and then she also stated that all tables were to get donut holes while they were waiting for their meal and waiting to order. We never got offered donut holes by our waitress and she only came back to our table two times. Once was to bring the food and the next time was to bring the bill. We might go back there again at some point but we would definitely try something different. They promised me a total replacement on our meal. I waited and waited for a coupn 2 arrive. Nothing ever came. So we tried ordering it at the restaurant. They had absolutely nothing there as far as a credit is concerned or even any mention of our problem or the resolution. So, I was lied to and left hanging with our $65 debacle of a meal. I was more than disappointed and upset. And being lied to and led around by my nose was equally upsetting. If it hadn't been such an expensive order, I've been fine with it all.

They have the most diverse menu of all Galena restaurants. We had truffle fries and grilled octopus for appetizers (I think the octopus was a little overcooked/chewy but the flavor was so so good). The yuca fries that came with the octopus were insanely good. I had the shrimp and pork belly fried rice for my main and it was delicious. My partner had the short rib and it was good but not great. We had the pistachio tiramisu for dessert and it was delicious. We saw two parties walk in and look at the menu then walk out and I was SHOCKED by that. They missed out on a great meal. I would suggest to management that they add a couple of kid friendly items because I think that is why one of the parties walked out. I can’t wait to come back, this is my new favorite place to eat in Galena. Service was great too. Loved being able to bring my dog to the dog friendly patio.

However there weren't any movies actively playing on DirecTV for whatever reason, the tv wouldn't connect to Wi-Fi to steam something, and the Wi-Fi signal was weak so even watching something on a personal device was not relaxing.
