I had the Variety Plate which was one cabbage roll, one Polish sausage with coarse ground mustard, one Pierogi smothered in grilled crispy onions. All the food was fantastic and delicious. Service was friendly and excellent. Owner came out to see if we were satisfied; we were! Simple home style Cafe and it was pretty good. I like the small simple menu and they have different specials everyday. Very good prices too. Wife ordered the "special" which was ham and bean soup and it was above average good. Plus she got three small sides with it and all three were good (deviled eggs, macaroni salad and potato salads). I honestly think she was dreading it. We got inside and neither of them knew what to get. We have recommended things but they were unsure if theyd like it. Our waitress went above and beyond. She went to the kitchen and brought out a sample plate of the different meats, rice and beans. I have only ever had the chicken and the beef. Well, when they tried the samples, i tried the pork red chili and OMG, I fell inlove. That is definitely my new go to. My family was able to taste the samples and figure out what they wanted. They were really surprised by the portions of the burritos. My sister got back home to Florida and called me and told me she is now craving Barbosas....lol. The flour chips are like nothing ive ever tried. They are delicious!! It was definitely a great experience for them and for all of us. We absolutely LOVE this place.

I tried cutting Karina meet to separate it the knife we’re not even go through the meat. I did get one section cut through and tried to bite through it. It definitely was not done.I could not get the bones out of the meat, nor would the knife cut The meat off the bone. My son brought it to the waitress attention. the waitress went back to talk to the cook or the manager came back to the table and told us that she can re-cook the ribs. Unfortunately we were in a hurry for time and my family had their food and was eating it and I did not want to wait another half hour for something that should’ve came out to my table ready to eat..I would’ve taken half of a discount for my ribs, but they did not offer me anything . our bill came out to $160 plus the $30 we left for a tip. I end up taking their ribs and my son put some of them in his stove the next day as we were already in Arizona sent me videos While I in return sent him videos of my dog eating the three bones with rib meat on them he enjoyed them too bad I did not. I do have to say for the three days we were in Saint Joe the best place we ate and returned three times was perkins out on the Frederick and belt just off of Highway 29 Every morning we went there for breakfast. Every time we entered the door they remembered our names they knew who you were. They sent us at the same table and they knew exactly what we had for breakfast the day before I would definitely recommend going to Perkins before going to Hoff and horn for good service. It’s sad to say that, but it is what it is. The manager would not even come out at horn to our table to talk to us about this expensive meal we did pay for our check And I brought the meat home to my dogs. I do have to say my little puppy was happy to get ribs from Saint Joe Missouri….

We wanted to try a new food place. Saw El Maguey with alot of cars in front. The staff were quick, attentive and polite. The house chips and salsa were fresh. We ordered long islands and two separate burritos. The food arrived very fast! We were pleasantly surprised! Out of the two burritos (El Gordo, El Navidad) the El Navidad was our favorite! The only thing keeping this from being a perfect review was the wobbly table! It drove us crazy as we each were cutting and the table would wobble. We will be back with our daughters!

I received the order I was there to pick up and then left the store...while this other driver was NOT given her order. She was sent outside of the store attempting to reach someone from her delivery platform about this interaction as well. I will never bring my family to this restaurant nor will I ever encourage anyone to eat here or order from here simply for watching this unfold. I don't believe in racism and simply won't tolerate it as a customer or as a delivery driver there ON BEHALF OF A PAYING CUSTOMER. I will also be reporting this to doordash in case the catering order was through them so they know how their driver was treated by this staff as well.

And it’s worth noting that her turkey sandwich was the same meat as my chicken sandwich - only colder. So someone didn’t get what they ordered (in more ways than one). Ended up picking Magoons and i think it was the best decision we could have made. I got a reuben cause I have to try one every place I go that serves one. Maybe the best reuben I've ever had. My family and I were seated at an unclean table, so I asked our waitress, Chelsea (who has a very unpleasant attitude), to please clean off the table. She hands me the towel to clean it myself. I guess wiping down a table for the customer is a huge task! We ordered some wings (requested extra wet) and fries, and they were both awful! Fries were overcooked, so we asked Chelsea to send out a fresh batch, and she again was put off by our request. Our wings were not made extra wet as requested. We had to ask for napkins, as the waitress didn't even bring those to the table when serving the food. At a wing place, napkins should be an automatic, but when your waitress doesn't care, I guess not! During the entire visit, not once did the waitress ask how the food was or if we needed our drinks refilled. I thought maybe Chelsea was having a bad day, but after reading another 1-star review from four months ago, regarding her, sadly, she is just not up to par for this type of job. Take care of your customers and provide them great service, and you will get tipped quite well, and you will have returning customers. This particular location has lost my business. I’ve worked in fast food and closed doing drive and kitchen and cleaning alone and moving over from dinner to breakfast seamlessly. I know how it works, and there is no excuse. The crab ran-goo was crunchy but lacked good flavor. Also why in the heck did the sweet n sour sauce coagulate? Weird, but my appetite died today. As we did not finish our plates. And we we’re a bit deceived by appearance and reviews. I would give Hunan another try. But it would definitely be in person. And only one time. I cannot recommend at this time. Manager came out and opened up the party room just for us. Some of the tables were dirty, we had to clean them ourselves, but the food was excellent. We have been to a number of Pizza Ranches, and this is by far my favorite. It reminded me of when Pizza Ranch first opened up in my town, Independence. My first impression was clean. There was one staff member constantly cleaning. The next was courteous.
