We ordered arancini, flag of Italy with gnocchi and the seafood pasta. The starter came out quickly and was quite delicious. Unfortunately when the mains came out it was a different story. The gnocchi was chewy and almost like glue, it was very unpleasant with a total of 3 pieces of chicken and 5 or six pieces of sun dried tomato. The ribs were finger looking good and the bones sucked of every morsel of meat. A simple google search of "breakfast in Wagga" and scanning a couple places before coming across Carlos and man we're glad we picked this place! The service was amazing, a simple smile and hello when we walked in, to the young lady who took our order and the other who delivered our drinks and food - the kindness and warmth makes Carlos so inviting. Then the food, the clean plates speak volumes! A great eggs benny and bacon and egg roll, simple yet mouth-watering! The fresh juice as well, finding somewhere that does fresh juice is always a mission but finding somewhere that does it and does it good was a win! The cafe decor was very modern, the on table ordering system was easy to use and functioned well, the website was slick. The staff were not very attentive however, often avoiding eye contact and didn’t even respond when we thanked them on our way out. The menu was quite varied. We had the breakfast grill and the pumpkin fritters. The breakfast grill was huge - overall very tasty but the 2 lamb chops were a little overcooked. The pumpkin fritters were great - crunchy and tasty, the mushrooms cooked perfectly and the fennel seeds and feta perfect. The coffee was great. The price was pretty expensive though. The cafe itself was hard to find - we walked around for a while looking for it, tucked away at the back of a building and next to a home wares shop.

We ordered using the QR code and found it easy to navigate. The online menu was pretty annoying because it doesn't have options for different milks or adding sugar. Just little things that were annoying. We placed our order which was very expensive for the quality. We then waited around 10 mintues for all of our drinks to arrive. They were a bit underwhelming but still acceptable. We then got food around 15 mintues later. The food looked nice but could have been better. Our server was quite nice but didn't bother asking if we needed anything else, I also noticed they forgot someone else's cutlery. If you are attempting to portray a fine dining image the very first tjing you need is table cloths, this will dress the room and add a sense of class. Next is have well trained staff up front to greet the patrons and show them to a seat, all restaurants seat people strategically to make the place look busier etc. The food, I ordered the bread with dipping sauces to start, i got 2 small dinner rolls that had been microwaved for too long and gone hard along with melted butter, vinegarette, and something else not sure what it was. I know its only bread but seriously. I got a nice bottle of wine for the meal that was ok, then i had the waygu steak that was good eventhough it came out well done, i did ask for med rare, you dont make that mistake with an expensive steak, first it had prawns on top? Then it was swimming literally in a white bernaise type of sauce and that was on a thick layer of a vegetable puree, i had to dig and scrape to find the steak. A chef should know to put the sauce around the star of the dish and not cover it up, i couldnt have a bite of the meat without getting sauce and some thick kind of puree all over it. This was the most expensive steak on the menu and chef needs to look at how this is served up, also on the plate was a piece of overcooked brocolini and 2 halves of carrot that were undercooked. Everything seemed to have that microwave feel to it. I understand it was a midweek and the place wasnt busy but its no wonder if locals know what they serve. Its a shame as the 2 girls were trying very hard and the restaurant looks really good also the steak itself was good, i finished with a crumble and icecream and that was also good. The girls did not once come near me to ask how my meal was or to even top my glass, i had to wave my arms to get a glass of water. Someone has spent a considerable amount of time and money on the restaurant and its a shame to see the food take the limelight for the wrong reasons. The food was great and definitely lived up to its price. The staff were friendly and the music was pleasant. Newest review - as of coming here a second time for my 18th birthday we were very disappointed in the new menu. The prices were the same but the food quality was not. The food was tastless and cooked wrong. Both steaks were overcooked. The ragu and polenta was tastless and I didn't even get a happy birthday from the staff. Each time has been such a pleasant experience and we are always left feeling so welcomed. The food is exceptional and such decent portions. The cocktails are delicious as well. For us what makes it is the waitress ladies who welcome our 1 year old son and have a conversation with him - specially Mikayla! They always go above and beyond and ensure he has his food and offers us extras if needed and we truely appreciate this experience. We were hungry when we arrived in Wagga Wagga around 9pm so I googled restaurants and am so pleased that Tira Thai came up as the top option because we would never have found this place nestled away in a little arcade off the main Street. Given it was so late, we didn't feel like a massive meal so we just ordered the mixed entree, duck curry and coconut rice with some wine. WOW! When those little entrees came out, we knew immediately that they were all handmade by the chef and not out of a box like you can get in some towns. The curry was so delicious and authentic. The aroma when it arrived was amazing, with all the lovely kafir lime so finely and expertly shredded on top. I really wish that this restaurant was our local in Melbourne and not 500km away from our home. Highly recommended.

Both dishes were sensational - the best Thai meal we have had on our 6 weeks holiday travelling from Melb to Airlie Beach and back (we averaged one Thai meal per week while we were away). I’ve read the last reviews which are quite good, hopefully an isolated incident. Supporting local business is important in a time when the cost of living is so high people spend money sparingly, supporting local businesses also supports local families, you’d think that would be reciprocal in service.

Once inside we were seated and quickly found out they hadn't turned the heater on. Once seated we were served quite quickly, we ordered our food and they delivered water. We waited around 10 mintues for our starter to come out and around 15 minutes for our mains. The food was amazing plus it was presented in a very pleasing way. My lamb was a little salty but everyone else's was nice. They also had no music or TV so the atmosphere was pretty much non exsitant, the dinning room is also decorated randomly which was a bit off putting. Overall great night. The food was great, the service was good, but the atmosphere was lacking. Mentions: they deliver through menulog, they have a toilet, kid friendly. Edit: we came for dinner a second time and were happy to see they had changed their dinning room to look better. This time the food was even better than the last, the presentation was great. If you like Aussie based Chinese that isn't actually Chinese food then you might like it but this is some of the worst food we've had as a group. Even the steamed rice was dry and cold. The dishes were all gluggy, shiney and clearly full of MSG. Tinned corn and tinned champignons were the veggies with large diced carrot and celery. 3 different dishes that were all apparently different but all sauces are the same thick, clear, gluggy consistency with little to no real flavour. No fresh veggies in any dish despite us not ordering the deep fried Aussie specialities of honey chicken, lemon chicken or sweet and sour pork I'm sure the positive reviews here have eaten and are very far from actual Chinese food. The special fried rice had shredded pizza ham, no vegetables, around 3 small slices of spring onion and again no flavour. Simply terrible food that I'm sure is also terrible for your health. Do not go here if you want fresh, actual Chinese cuisine, without MSG, with vegetables and quality meat that hasn't been cooked to within an inch of existence. If I wasn't so hungry and away from home I wouldn't have eaten any of it.
