I visited Gangtok in 2015 and on my last day in Gangtok, in morning i visited this place and had a vegetable puff alongside view of Himalayas, that was incredible experience but i the time was limited. In March 2025, i visited the Gangtok and revisited the Baker’s cafe. This time i ha enjoyed their delicious pizza, creamy hummus with perfect falafels and loved their coffee and ginger-lemon honey tea. I specially enjoyed the view of Himalayas and this cafe has very happening vibe. The wooden interiors, the miniatures on the entrance and the small details on the walls are just perfect. On last day i had an incredible cheesecake. Will definitely visit this place again and highly recommend this place to all.

We discovered this gem thanks to a recommendation from a local travel agency owner nearby, and it definitely lived up to the hype. Every other restaurant in Gangtok sells ramen, tottenboki, kimbaps, bulgogi and bibimbaps. Had ordered fried momos which i loved the most but it took half an hour although it wasn't crowded and there were just three tables that were being served. And it took me other half an hour for the soup that i too had to ask for it . Although im fine waiting and i literally dont mind it.To me when it comes to delicious food I would wait and i know the place does serves the best . But they placed me a longitudnal cracked soup bowl and on top of it had a black flake wich looked like a stains of a sticky pan. And when i said it to the manager he just smiled. And so thinking about nothing i moved on but later i had forgotten my sweater out there but when i reached out there to get it back it was thrown under the table n was my sweater was all dusty. The food is just okay not good not bad and price average given the ambience and views. We tried the Chicken Sizzler which was actually sizzling hot, served with a side of the softest buttered bread. We also had Pork Momos which was really good but took a long time coming since they said they make it fresh to order. We wanted a second plate but would have to wait again. The momos unlike other pork momos in Gangtok are thin skinned with less fat slivers and more or red mince meat which was to my liking. Of course the hot momo chutney and broth was there as accompaniment. The fresh lime soda was soothing and was beautifully decorated but the beer we ordered was room temperature even though we had asked for a chilled one. The waiter just opened it without letting us check the same! The window seats offer a beautiful breezy view of the Ranka area but the seats further inside could get stuffy as there was no fan and we had visited on a humid July afternoon. The service is a tad slow but the staff generally polite and courteous. Overall a fair to good experience dining here though I wouldn't visit it again. It is located in Deorali a lot further from the city centre so unless you have some work there or have come specifically to eat at Porky's it seems a bit out of the way. Also parking would be an issue here so its recommended to take a shared taxi.

The cafe got an amazing cosy vibe, and the ambience was too refreshing. After discussing so much with the staff I ordered a cappuccino and chocolate tart. The service was too quick as within the next five minutes after placing the order the cappuccino was on my table. The cappuccino was good but the chocolate tart was too amazing, I mean it was one of the best chocolate tarts I had in recent times. This was our 3rd visit to the hotel in last 2-3 years. Pros: Location is just too good. Dining place is awesomely placed and decorated. Service, behavior of the staff is also very good. Our kids was just thrilled to explore the hotel running around and staff was very courteous to listen and attend to all his childhood talks and picture requests. Breakfast is just too good. Keep it up. Cons: This was our 3rd visit and some things were not upto the mark even from our last year experience. Food quality - particularly indian dishes needs to be done better. Room maintenance - Rooms had damp issues which resulted in dark patches in wall near bathroom(Room # 202) Quality and complimentary toiletries have gone down with respect to last year - please be consistent.
