Some char mousse business that was delicious. Then we had the scallops and cod for mains. I mean wow. The way the green mixed with the sauce and the main on both dishes was phenomenal. Cooked to perfection. Then the dessert. We had the sticky coffee cake with black sesame ice cream. Yeah you heard me. I can't even. It was sooo good. Black sesame?! Yeah... they did. Nailed it.

I vaguely remember the driver who took me to my hotel mentioning it being loved by locals and didn’t think much of it since then. When I went on my walk k didn’t realize how close I was and decided to give it a try since I had some time. Boy oh boy am I glad I ever stopped in! This place was amazing. I was greeted by friendly staff and sat immediately, the sever was very attentive and provided great recommendations. It was only my second time having gnocchi and I don’t think I could ever eat another gnocchi dish again, it was absolutely amazing! My only negative thing to say is that I didn’t get to go back and have dinner! Definitely recommend to try this place out!

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the staff and our waiter, Oscar. Oscar was friendly and very professional. Everyone ordered food and drinks. Drinks took awhile to get which we didn't really have a problem with (except the drinks is what everyone really wanted). When the bill came I assumed my food would either be taken off or discounted for waiting almost 20 minutes and finishing eating after everyone but nothing at all taken off. The place has a nice ambience and creative menu. They're vegan friendly and I got a really nice falafel bowl. I also got some triple cooked fries and they were to die for seriously. Two main problems: parking is very, very difficult... if you have a reservation you should probably try and be early in case you need to drive around a lot to find a spot. Our waiter Sheldon obviously enjoyed working there and gave excellent service and recommended other places in the area as well. The other waitresses and bus staff helped each other out with ease and without being asked, and also seemed to enjoy working there. Food came out of the kitchen quicker than I expected after ordering and was hot and arguably the best restaurant food I’ve had. I am always a fry dipper in ketchup but these fries were ruined by the ketchup, they are so good on their own. My burger was large and fresh and obviously real meat with such a delicious pairing of sauces and flavours. My husband’s steak was cooked to perfection and tasted so fresh and beefy, and the roasted broccoli had the most perfect crispy florets and seasoning. The atmosphere on the patio was quietly lively and felt private at our table at the same time. If you are in Dartmouth/Halifax this place is a must.

Fortunately we were able to get in. Our table was right at the entrance, so the occasional blast of cold air when the door was opened, but not too bad overall. They drowned a light and airy chocolate sponge cake in espresso martini, so that there were pools of liquid turning the cake grainy and gross. There's a reason tiramisu soaks a very specific type of ladyfinger in a coffee -- you can't just soak any cake or baked good in liquid. Who came up with this dish? Why? Why, yes. But this restaurant does not seem to care about your enjoyment. They care about their chefy creation, ego without substance. We embarked on our journey to Halifax from Tantallon even though is started to snow heavily. Upon our arrival, I was immediately taken by the ambience and the decor of Rasa. We arrived early so we were able to choose a table by the fireplace which enhanced our experience. Our waitress, Sukhi, quickly arrived to greet us and even took our jackets from me as I was heading for the coat rack in the entrance. Sukhi offered us the menus, including à la carte promotions and took our drink orders. She was the only server that evening and managed her time at each table very efficiently. After our drinks were delivered, she arrived with hot towels emitting a wonderful lemon scent to sanitize our hands before bringing us a complimentary appetizer. We selected three dishes to share comprising of Lamb, Chicken and Shrimp. We also selected the Naan bread as our sides as we both love to tear it into small pieces and using it to absorb the delicious sauces that make-up the dishes. What an experience!! Every single bite was perfectly spiced, full of flavour and the Lamb incredibly tender. With the suggestion from Sukhi, I enjoyed a glass of Malbec with my meal which paired perfectly with the Lamb dish while my partner enjoyed a glass of fresh ginger ale, made in-house, which was delightful as well. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Rasa. As far as Indian cuisine is concerned, we have found our spot. There will be no experiments with others, perhaps closing the door on other gems in the city but, when you experience total satisfaction from the beginning to the end, you just have to enjoy the ride. The pizza dough was great, but the ingredient proportions were super off. Our dad will eat it. 3. The caramel tart also looked and tasted like a tart from a supermarket with some whipped cream on top. It was too sweet for me as well. 4. The customer service was ridiculous. It felt like the waitress kept avoiding us after we asked for the bill, we waited for a while. Then she brought us one bill, although I did ask for separate ones. After I said that again politely, she seemed irritated. After trying to pay with the debit card, she was hovering over me and looking what I’m pressing. And bingo! Well I have to say we were pleasantly surprised! Kayla was our server and she did a great job, very attentive to our needs. The food was great as it always was. New menu for us...more selection of pasta. The feta dip is gone but its now the Artisanal Cheese Spread which was really nice. We both enjoyed it. We also had our usual pizza selection which was great. So happy to be back and have a enjoyable meal with great service. We will be back to try the new pasta dishes.

I prepared myself for disappointment as this sounded like a food choice for inebriated university students.. In fact, I have been told that by inebriated university students. This thing kicked ass in every way, as far as flavor, texture, and balance. The sweet garlic sauce, which I doubted most of all, brought it all together. While you wait for your food theirs lots of photos of famous people who have visited King or Donair. The place is super hot you sweat while ordering and waiting for your food. We ordered two Donairs no tomato or onion , extra sauce . The lady who took our order repeated it back correctly , however the younger lady helping her piled a crap tun of them on and I seen the other lady waving at her and speaking in their language. The lady who took our order then used tongs to take them off and I still ended up with two pieces of raw onion. You don’t need to ask for extra sauce because they put a lot on. Boyfriend loved the sauce i however found it a bit too sweet and it kind do threw me off . Meat was tasty and they put a lot on.
