They've a very quiet place but given they're located in the middle of everything, Raja's Seat is like walkable distance, views aren't that great. They've ample parking so don't worry bring your cars, if you don't like dogs stay away from the place they've rescues and other pet dogs on the property not on leash because they're really friendly, I brought my pet dog here she liked the entire space she could run everywhere. The rooms had ample space and amenities, they were cleaned daily, sheets/towels replaced on demand or every second day by default, the staff are really helpful and so polite, the food they cooked and provided was yummy and plenty, the property owners Guru Urmila and a Grandma were gems. They were really helpful. The wifi coverage is a bit messy to the extreme rooms and may have a bit less speed but they're ample enough to surf and stream, but hey your 5G works fine again you're coming here to disconnect so I don't think it'll be a problem. If you can afford the place don't think twice it's worth what you pay.

Its unhygienic. Don't go just by looking reviews . We stayed there for 2 days and had the worst experience. Firstly they have available rooms which are better than the ground floor but they will offer you the ground floor rooms which are smelly and cheap secondly they dont have any bonfire or games avl in weekdays dont know about weekends. Thirdly they have no sense as I complaint about the noise at 12:30 AM and after resolving the issue they came to my room at 12:30 midnight to inform that the problem is solved and if you dont open the gate they will keep knocking your door. I stayed in deluxe room which felt like tiny capsule room with no closet and smelly bedsheets jo curtains absolutely utter non sense . Only 1 staff was good other than him everyone is just non sense. Apart from this the property location is bit inner . Lastly plz if yoir booking this try booking it just for a day and then decide further . In coorg you have great properties in the budget of 1500-2000 wasting money here will just give you regrets.

They also had an estate walk which takes you to a little pond. So green and an eye treat i say! And I was so worried that i didn’t buy a souvenir when i left coorg but i was surprised by the manager with a cute little gift and it was a coffee mug saying “serene woods coorg” and the souvenir is done ☑️

It’s a very cool place with great food and clean rooms. The manager was very helpful, kind and always there for us if we had any questions or concerns. The receptionist was in a hurry when we came so did not provide toiletries, towel , no plastic on bins. We asked for it but it came by the evening when the owner handed over the things. I always saw receptionist not in his place and always had to call if needed anything. You have option to make your own coffee with cup milk powder coffee provided but no spoon to stir . ( You can always ask) Breakfast is good.aunty prepares delicious food but again service is slow. It is made in small batch poor receptionist runs down and brings another batch . Parking space is limited. So if you have 2 more cars it can be difficult to find parking there. We visited on diwali holiday... We were told maid is not available to clean rooms and finally receptionist did the cleaning. I had asked for drinking water as there was no water available in the dining area. But it came quite later. All major attractions are nearby If you want peaceful stay in a beautiful villa this could be a great stay but if you expect proper service and arrangment surely this is not the place

They view from this location is very good, particularly in the mornings. We started here in September 2018, and they provided ground and first floors to stay. Stay has a very proper parking. We were 7 of us including 2 seniors and 1 child and we all enjoyed our 2 nights stay at Notting Hill. The place has a lovely sit-out where we spent a lot of our time together, it also has a fire place which would be useful during the winters. The sit-out also opens into a small garden with benches as well for further sitting options and gives you a panoramic view of the city and the greens, in-fact my wife practiced early-morning yoga here and mentioned it was bliss! So you could carry your work-out/yoga mats in-case you are the health conscious ones. Inside the house you have a 6-seater dining room, an entertainment room with TV and lots of books to read or even board games to enjoy. The kitchen is to the extreme end and has a micro-wave, refrigerator and all the crockeries that you want. Coming to the rooms on the left side are 3 bedrooms with attach bathrooms all of them are mostly the same size and have huge bathrooms and is maintained quite well. Each of the bedrooms have good linen, multiple pillows and extra quilt/blanket options for the weather. Mostly there are no ceiling fans in the rooms and if required you have the wall-mounted fans however for most parts of the year you won't require them! There could be some shortage of storage space in-case you're carrying lot of luggage, be prepared to manage your clothes well. Coming to the Food, well I don't have enough words to justify the quality and quantity of the food specially the dinner we had was absolutely mind blowing. The breakfast is on the house and you get 2/3 options from Dosa, Idly, Upma, Puttu (Local Dish), Eggs to order and all of them tasted good. We tried the Neer Dosa, Masala Dosa, Idly, Puri and Omelette that gets served with sambar, chutney, veg curry, korma etc. The taste is authentic and doesn't hit you hard on stomach and definitely feels homely. The bigger agenda which is Dinner was sumptuous - we called for 3 non-veg meals which had chicken, Mutton and Pork dishes. Our personal favourite was the Chicken Fry and Pork curry. The Chicken fry was rich in spices and had the perfect texture for "Fry" dishes, we were trying Pork for the first time and it came out well although there was some resistance but just the 2 of us belted the entire bowl which had a mix of belly and meat pieces. The Mutton curry was also decent but the chicken dishes were an overall winner, they went really well with Chapati and rice. The 3 vegetarian meals also were good but no comparison to the non-veg meals ;) ! Final word to the people of the house, the caretaker - Shiva knows the place well, is very hospitable and gives the right attention to our needs and does not interfere! The rooms were big, super clean, and really well-kept, which made my stay super comfy. They really focused on hygiene, so I felt totally at ease. Location is very near to Raja seat garden. The rooms were super clean and tidy.Bathrooms were exeptionaly clean and the owner is a good hearted gentleman. He helped and corrected our travelling rout and even in one day night we stuck in traffice due to the dasara festival al most all roads closed and he guided our driver from where we stuck to the appartment through phone and while reaching he was standing in the road side. The taste of the coffee which was complimentry from his side was amazing.We opted to take breakfast and dinner from them and realy awsome we love it. Any one with family or friends want to visit coorg you can opt for this home stay as if we plant to go again in coorg we wisht to stay there only. Thank you Zaheer for this wonderful stay.

This place is truly a hidden gem — a beautiful and peaceful homestay that's perfect for both families and groups of friends. It was during the busy Madikeri Dasara weekend. Still, the owner didn't overcharge us for the stay. It was at an affordable price. The homestay is located within walking distance from Raja's Seat. You get great hill top view of Madikeri during the walk from homestay to Raja's Seat. Even when in other areas there is no mist, you will see mist around the house and it was awesome. The place is filled with calls of birds in the morning. We managed to see Malabar Grey Hornbill & several other birds within 100m from the homestay. It is a great place for bird watching. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Bedsheet, pillow and blankets were so clean. You will get hot water 24 hrs. There is also free WiFi available at the homestay. The place was very quiet even though there were loud processions and DJ happening in the city. There was no disturbance at all during sleep/night. The owner Zaheer was extremely humble and we never felt that we were staying away from home due to his hospitality. We arrived in Madikeri 6 hours before the check-in time. Though none of the rooms were vacant at that time, Zaheer made arrangements for us to freshup at 5 in the morning and leave for sightseeing. When we returned, out belongings had been safely moved to our rooms. The owner enquired about our plan, then he suggested few corrections. He arranged Mandalpatti Jeep trip from his contacts through a nearby driver, who picked us up and dropped us at the homestay itself. The owner served us hot coffee, for which he didn't even charge us. He also provided drinking water to us. We couldn't taste the food at the homestay as we were on exploratory mode, but Zaheer suggested us a good veg restaurant at walkable distance. He never asked or rushed to make the pending payment. No extras were charged by him. Everyday he would come ask our comfort and asked about visit. Highly recommended for families. There were other families staying when we were there. We had a very fantastic experience at Jawa Home Stay. The Owner Shri. Zaheer Ahmed & his family were very supportive & cooperative in providing the Services. They are down to earth persons. We checked in late at night, only to find out the room was extremely basic and small, with absolutely no view. I would not call this a HomeStay, but it is more like a Hotel/Lodge. Parking the Car is a tricky deal, as the terrain is tough and high. It's overpriced looking at the facilities available. Basic amenities were not provided, like Cupboard, Toiletries. Food had to be ordered from outside. Breakfast was average. Father-Son duo/Owner of the stay are amazing and really helpful all the time. View from the stay is great, but select rooms have it. One room has a good view but a water tank is just in front to the window, so that ruined the view. Overall it's a good stay.

Room and the facilities were Neat and Clean. The host was very friendly. The stay is right in the middle of the Madikeri town. All the tourists spots are close by. There are no amenities like refrigerator AC etc. incase of heavy rains there’s a power failure.. Very low or no network coverage. There’s only power backup of 1-2 hrs. There’s a problem of flies and insects. Food is awesome we had ordered for veg only. It was good and quantity was good aswell. Overall there’s a scope for improvement.. but good place to stay if you are 5-8 people.

It wasn't an memorable stay coz of the host as he pokes his nose in all matters. Like when u are on a trip with family and frnds in such location u feel like have talks and bonfire and the host keeps bothering saying that it late pls go sleep. Even speaking with him on call to get to the location isn't easy. The place isn't one i would recommend to stay it also has a adjacent property called Mayuri estate not recommended as well.
