Located at 2090 Broke Road, Pokolbin, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 I came to these gardens with my group of approximately 35 people, including people with walkers, to see the Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights Spectacular. It was well worth the visit. I absolutely loved it. For the most part, it is accessible for people with mobility issues but there are steps situated around the displays meaning backtracking was required in some instances. Not many though. There’s a couple of toilet 🚻 facilities located at the entrance and about half way through. There’s food vans near the Ferris wheel but they were closed when we went (about 8.30pm) . The amount of work and preparation that had to go into the displays is astounding. So many figurines lighted up. I really enjoyed my visit and took so many photos so remember to bring your camera and make sure to charge your battery in phone because there’s plenty of photo opportunities. Night Entrance (best for this Spectacular to get the full effects fees are - Adults (16+ years) $40.00 Children 4-15 years) - $30.00 Families (2 Adults, 2 Children) - $122.00 There’s always plenty to see during the day also. I would definitely recommend coming here, at least once. A BIG Thumbs up! 👍👍👍

Beautiful well kept gardens of many themes. Well worth the admission price. Extremely picturesque. Great for photo shoots. Great for exploring and enjoying the views and beauty of curated nature.

The gardens were an absolute blast, with so much to explore. Walking through the various themed areas, I felt like I was in a fairytale. The lights display at night was a mesmerizing experience. I definitely took a lot of photos to remember this fantastic trip.

Good venue , about a 5 to 10min walk to where the car was parked because there was heaps of people there. I reckon about 40,000. The concert was really good. The best Act was Vica and Linda Bulla with the guy from hunters and collectors , they also had the church band , and another brother and sister Act , and the last Act was crowded house. Venue was good. We went to the mosh pit at the first band on which was great. We're really close to the stage and it wasn't too crowded but as the afternoon went on it got more and more crowded in the mosh bit and there was a bit more push and shove. Still a great day out and I would recommend it. Certainly if you want to watch some bands and have a good time. Five stars.

Attended my beautiful friends wedding here! What a gorgeous location for such an event! The gardens are truly breathtaking. So many colours, smells and vibes!

Hunter valley garden is a really good place to have a stop when you're traveling in Hunter valley. Especially when you're arrived here at November to January, there would be a Christmas activities which would be many kinds of lights on. Also there are many themes in this garden. It's really a good place to have a try and chill here

It's definitely desired to stop here. And take a look into the zoo is much more than I expected. Before before I think it's maybe just a small zoom with little animals. But in reality, they are quite a variety of animals, and also, you can see the white kangaroo. Here, you also can feed the kangaroo and other animals. It's quite interesting no matter how old you are.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place — I’d never heard of it before, but it turned out to be a beautiful spot! The animals look well cared for and generally very happy. I was amazed to see they even have lions and my favourite, the giraffes! A few animals did look a bit restless, but overall it’s a lovely park to visit with the family and definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.

I was genuinely surprised to find such a sizeable wildlife park in Hunter Valley. At first, I thought it would just be a small place with a few animals, but it turned out to have some large predators as well as many unique Australian animals. You can also enjoy close encounters with kangaroos, which was a great experience. If you’re visiting Hunter Valley, I think spending half a day here is definitely worthwhile.

Amazing zoo, you are able to get up close to most of the animals and see some really unique animals and immersive experience. Most people dont know about this zoo but it's great. Only thing I would change would be the giraffe enclosure your down hill from them so unless they are right in front of you it make it hard to get as good a look as your able to with the other animals they have but you still get good views.

What a great zoo with an extensive variety of animals, not alot or of shade available during a hot or rainy day; prepare yourself on those days. Very busy on weekends and during school holidays, also attracts some derelict people which can add to your entertainment. Clean BBQ’s available for you to utilise at lunch time if you bring your own lunch.

Very family friendly! Kids can interact with kangaroo, goats, Bambi. Even some chicken cage free. Memorable experience, make sure to buy their merchandise when you came to support this lovely zoo 🍻

So worth the drive, the parking is fine even when busy, admission prices are great value for money, the venues staff can’t help you enough and have amazing customer service, but the range of beautiful animals and birds exotic animals is so wonderful, it’s such an amazing and beautiful place to visit you can see all of the displays so well, the coffee is nice too. Highly recommended a trip to the Hunter Valley Wildlife Park, it’s and easy walk around, facilities are clean and Cessnock is only down the road if you want to stay overnight, for me was a 2 hour easy drive from Sydney’s Hills area

This place is inside the hunter valley gardens. You don't need to take the garden ticket for this. However you need to buy tickets for the golf though. You can either play mini golf or putt putt that has 16-18 courses which i forgot. Its fun with friends and is worth the money. The other one is aqua golf where you make your shot to the lake where there are different nets with prizes labelled which you can win if you get your ball in.

We accidentally found this hidden the last time we visited Hunter Valley Gardens. So this time we stayed the night after visiting the gardens for the Christmas lights and next day went to Aqua Golf. This is scenic and loads of fun for young and old. Prices are reasonable. We thought we will buy tickets for 2 buckets of aqua golf and ended up buying for 5. Due to rains the previous 2 nights, we did not opt for the putt putt golf. Very relaxed atmosphere. Pay for the bucket of golf balla at the counter, choose any lane and start playing. Parking is right outside the entrance. Toilets are on the other side of the park and you need to walk across the park to access it.

Fun place, very very busy when we went. $12 a bucket (roughly 34 balls) $22 for 2 bucket And so on, more bucket toy get, you save a few dollars. Nets set up to win Ice cream, free bucket of balls, free putt putt, ice cream, soft drinks and some bigger prizes as well. Lots of fun

This was a bit of fun but hard to win a prize. Would be good if they added a ew more prize nets on the lake.

We were in the hunter valley on a holiday. We were at the gardens next door and decided to go to the Aqua Golf. We love aqua golf and the guys here were brilliant. The prices are reasonable ($9 for 1 bucket and $15 for 2 buckets) and we loved it that much we got 6 buckets each. It is great fun even if you don’t hit the targets.

As a keen golfer we arrived at Aqua golf. This was the only venue open due to two days of rain. We were informed we couldn’t use our own clubs, not even our pitcher & 9 iron. I’m 6.4 and my son is 6.7. Clubs were way too short for us. When asked why we couldn’t use our own clubs the guy behind the desk just shrugged and explained those are the rules. Great customer service and 6 people walked away not spending any money. Also if any one asks what we think of the place you know what our answer will be.

Aqua Golf somehow proved like a hidden gem for us. Extremely reasonable pricing with an amazing golfing range. Possibly the most scenic golfing range I have personally seen. I would recommend going for a combo deal that is truly worth the price

We had the pleasure of dining at Brokenwood Wines over the long weekend. The food was absolutely delicious! Myself and a few others did the wine pairings and I have to say, some of the most delicious wines I’ve ever tasted! Will be buying wine from Brokenwood shortly! Highly recommend for groups in the Hunter!

Simply awesome! The Match experience was absolutely wonderful — the wine and food pairings were exceptional, to the point where we enjoyed every single wine we tasted. Liam, who guided us through the session, was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. We were truly impressed! I have to add to my review after heading to lunch right after the Match experience. The service here is on another level! We opted for the set lunch and mentioned only that we don’t eat beef, but when the chef found out that I also don’t take lamb, he was incredibly accommodating and kindly swapped my dish for fish instead. THANK YOU CHEF TRAVIS!!! The staff here are just amazing! Your warmth, friendliness, and hospitality are what make us want to come back again. We are so impressed and grateful for such a memorable experience!

This was the last of the wineries on our stop and we were suitably impressed - the grandeur and the feel of the cellar door experience was very different to any we had done that day. Our server, Lauren, was amazing! We had expressed that we weren’t enjoying the Chardonnays that we had tried that day, so asked to swap it out with something else and before we knew it, we had a completely different and customised wine tasting! So accomodating, warm, funny and attuned to what we were after. We walked away with something completely different for all of us - the Sticky Wicket desert wine and wanted to bring Lauren home with us. Thank you Lauren for making our cellar door experience so wonderful.

We had lunch at the brokenwood restaurant. Very nice welcoming from the staff that offered us different options to eat. Very attentive staff including the chef in the kitchen. The waitress was very kind and professional. She let us enjoying our food with no rush. The portion were generous and very tasty from the appetisers to the dessert. You could tell the high quality products use. Even the olive oil… Highly recommend it if you’re around hunter valley. 🍷

Outstanding .. Such a premium experience. And ow my goodness - Food has been outstanding .. Not overly creative in a good way. Traditional meals done Delicious .. And the wine range has been so vast and varied. Very impressive

Dined for lunch on a weekday last week. I am peeved that our steak was served 5-10mins after our small plates/starters which included cold raw fish. We were not done with our starters when the meat were served. Steak would obviously turn cold by the time we started eating and the table was cluttered too. We feedback to the lady staff who told us we did not indicate our preference when she asked. I do not recall any such question asked to the same effect. Restaurant was far from full capacity since it’s a rainy weekday lunch. Kitchen was open kitchen so I’m not sure why the chef also thought it’s ok to fire up my steak in a hurry. Not sure if this is a place I want to dine in when I’m just trying to enjoy myself in the vibes of Hunter Valley.

An amazing Vineyard in Hunters Valley. Excellent Semillion, Chardonnay and Siraz. A very nice restaurant. Strongly recommended.

It was our first time visiting for wine tasting, and we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who took great care of us with detailed explanations and engaging interactions. A special thanks to Kylie for her thoughtful attention to our puppy. We also really loved the design of the tasting menu. Overall, it was such a delightful experience, and we will definitely be back next time.

We had a fantastic tasting experience at Tulloch! Kylie was incredible—she kept our kids (ages 4, 6, and 8) happily entertained, allowing my husband to fully enjoy the tasting. The kids' tasting option is such a brilliant idea! Kylie also seemed to be a mind reader—she somehow knew exactly which wines weren’t for us, and recommended only the ones we loved. It honestly felt like she knew our taste better than we did! Highly recommend a visit—we'll definitely be coming back. We ended up purchasing more than five wines we truly enjoyed! Big call given normally we are tied to only red from the Barossa but Kylie knew what reds we should try that we enjoy. We want to take you home Kylie!!!

What a day! Did the mystery tasting with my hubby and my boys did the kids and teen tasting (such a great idea). The staff were so beautiful and made the experience extra special. Coco, the winery supervisor truly was a highlight.

We had a wonderful tasting experience here and throughly enjoyed your Verscato - this was a top pick of our weekend travelling to different wineries! Faith has lots of knowledge on pairing and grape varieties. Would also highly recommend the cheese board to pair with your wine tasting.

We visited Tulloch Wines for a wine and chocolate pairing experience, and it was absolutely delightful. They even offer a juice tasting for kids, which was a thoughtful touch—it allowed us to enjoy our wine without worry. No real cows ☹️🐄❌ Two fake cows 🐮🐮 and one named Tobi 🐄✨, nice aesthetic ✨, clean area ✨🧼, a lot of parking 🚗🅿️. Stinky cheese smell 🧀💨 upon entrance 🚪 but some people are into that 🤷‍♀️👃 yk. The bruzz 👨‍🧀 has been making cheese 🧀 by hand ✋🕰️ for 30yrs which is kool 😎. Staff were friendly 😊👋, atmosphere was nice and chic ☕🪑, prices were questionable ❓💰 but fair enough 🤷. The cheese 🧀 was kinda underwhelming 😕 — only reason why lost a star ⭐❌, idk 🤔 was kinda tasteless 😐 mostly, maybe I've just got a weak tongue 👅🥱 but cheese was kinda bland 😶. For a cheese factory or whatever, like if you're already deep in the dairy game 🧀🥛, chuck in a bit of ice cream 🍦 or a top-tier cheesecake 🍰 gimme a reason to stay after tasting that mid cheese stmo smh, pmo fr ngl.

5 stars – A cheese lover’s dream! I absolutely love the Hunter Valley Cheese Factory! They have an incredible selection of cheeses—I ended up getting a bit of everything because honestly, you can never have too much cheese. My favorite was the Hunter Gold Washed Rind Cheese—it’s nothing like anything I’ve ever tried. If you’re in the area, this cheese is a must! Also, do yourself a favor and grab a jar of their chilli jam—it pairs perfectly with the cheese and adds an amazing kick. Highly recommend stopping by and stocking up before you leave. You won’t regret it!

We had a great time at Hunter Valley Cheese Factory. Dave greeted us and was very helpful and knowledgeable. The tasting plate was a great way to try the available cheeses, and all the cheese was high quality and delicious. Would recommend.

Came in to grab mine and my partners favourite chilli jam, we’re so happy you still continue to make it! Stayed for a cheese board and a wine, the Staff were friendly and knowledgeable! We had a great experience.

Every year we come here and just gets better every time!!!! You have to add this to your list of things to do! The cheese tastings are the highlight and always end up with a heap of cheese and condiments before we leave (the cheese club is awesome too for getting it to your door). Can’t wait until the next visit. Love love love it here

Cheese nice, people nice, but 'Masterclass' not worth it at all. My partner booked us the 'Masterclass' and we were truly aghast at how poor the value was, and it was not as described. We had a 10 minute talk where we were shown ~3 photographs, and sat in front of a 30 second video that was on repeat. We were then left to taste the 8 cheeses (we received approximately 30g of each cheese between the two of us, and a handful of crackers). No accompaniments, as was noted, and we had upgraded to have some meats included. Photo of what we received in full below. Total cost: $257. I kid you not. You'd be better off using those funds to buy actual cheese from them, as the cheese was nice enough but there was no way we were going to pay any more after spending approximately $1000/kg for what we had already had. I really don't write bad reviews, but the value here was an embarrassment for the company.

The tasting plate is perfect for a light nosh. Products in the store are on the pricey side but the flavour and quality is worth it. Standouts include the Brokenback vintage cheddar, Hunter Gold washed rind brie, mixed olives, apple chutney, Falwasser crackers & rose honey 🐝

Nice cheese and wine pairings, and we appreciated being offered an extra wine to try. The view over the vineyard is lovely and peaceful. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by indifferent service. Staff didn’t check in at all during the tasting, and there was no engagement or follow-up. We had our two kids with us and ordered the children’s juice paddle. They were told it was a “guessing game” and that someone would come back later to reveal what the juices were — but no one ever returned. When we asked another staff member, they simply said they had no idea. Extremely poor form when you’re offering a kids’ experience. The nearby roadworks didn’t help the setting, and the included lollies were nothing special. Not recommended, especially for families.

Easy to book, experience was ready when we arrived. Kids really enjoyed their first experience with a paddle board. They enjoyed guessing the different flavours of their drinks. Cheeses and chocolates were lovely matching the wines.

Puff and pour is a must! The curry puffs paired with the wine were probably the most delicious I’ve ever had, they are cooked in house and authentic. The variety of flavours and taste leaves you wanting more, or the recipe! The children’s paddles were colourful and a big hit for the kids. The estate was a perfect rainy day activity however had lawn games out the front for children to explore and play when the sun is shining. The estate itself is beautiful and welcoming. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable! We will definitely be back! Cannot recommend enough!

Part of our wine tour , we stopped here for wine tasting .. it was interesting to do chocolate and wine tasting together.. the guide was informative as well .. they also had a few snacks that we could try , very appreciated since we hadn’t had lunch yet ..

Came for the chocolate and wine tasting, staff were really engaging and seemed genuinely passionate about their produce which was lovely. Favourite was the Riesling Solera, don’t let the cognac smell put you off if you don’t like it, it’s delicious !!

When we arrived we had to locate our own table, we had a wine and chocolate experience. However nothing was explained to us and we weren’t engaged during the tasting session. Lack of engagement meant that we weren’t encouraged to purchase or spend longer there and enjoy our time.

What an epic experience! A beautiful morning enjoying the sunrise up over the ridges of the hunter valley with beautiful balloons, of all shapes, colours and sizes. Thank you to Nicola, Andrew and Chris our crew looking after us so well. An adventure with careful piloting by Nicola exploring this amazing terrain of ours. I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a hot air balloon ride, and I have to say, it was one of the most well-organized activities I've ever done. Big shoutout to our guide, Clay! He was absolutely awesome. Super chill, down-to-earth, and full of cool facts about the area. He made the whole experience feel like we were flying with a friend, not just a guide. Plus, he was very professional, cracking jokes while keeping things safe and smooth. You could tell he genuinely loved what he was doing, and that made the whole ride feel even more special. If you're thinking about doing a hot air balloon ride, definitely go for it. And if you’re lucky to go with Clay, you’re in for a fantastic time!

This was a fantastic, exhilarating experience, Balloon Aloft Hunter Valley thank you for such a wonderful fun balloon flight. This company and staff are to be commended for the way they organised this experience. The pilot Blake skilfully sent us through the clouds greeting the sun, the scenery was spectacular and skimming across the trees coming back into land was such fun, he was very knowledgeable and made the entire flight memorable. The crew Jim and Robbie were so helpful and gave clear instructions in a fun humorous way. From the briefing to helping pack up the balloon was epic. The breakfast was delicious too. Would highly recommend Balloon Aloft to anyone wanting a first class experience.

Had a wonderful experience and the flight was perfect. We gathered at 0430 in the morning for an early morning start. Our names were marked off and we were provided with a brief before heading out to the selected launch site. It was wonderful to see the balloons inflated, before we got into the basket and began the flight, rising gracefully into the air. The conditions could not have been better and it was an experience I shall remember fondly. The team at Balloons Aloft are great and our pilot ‘Matt’ excellent. If you are thinking about trying this experience, I thoroughly recommend giving Balloons Aloft a call.

Beautiful experience. I was scared at first, but it was an overall comfortable experience. Honestly couldn't believe you could fit so many people in one basket, but that was cool. Definitely recommend. Sam was an excellent host and the food was fantastic.

I recently had the most amazing experience at the HV Horse Riding Farm! I was paired with a gentle mare named Clancy , who was perfect for my skill level. The instructor took the time to explain everything and guided me through the basics of riding, ensuring I felt confident in the saddle. Overall, I can't recommend Horse Riding Farm enough! Whether you're a seasoned rider or a complete novice, this place is a must-visit. I can't wait to come back for more rides and to continue my journey with horses. Five stars all the way!

What an absolutely fantastic horse riding experience! Keeley was an incredible guide – super friendly and made both myself and my mother feel completely at ease. My mum was a first-time rider with limited English, and Keeley took such wonderful care of her, ensuring she felt comfortable and had a truly enjoyable time. Keeley also took some brilliant photos for us and shared them right on the spot, which was such a lovely touch. It was an amazing experience from start to finish, and we can't recommend it enough!

The farm looks amazing! It is surrounded by vineyards and mountains. You can walk around the farm and see many different animals: llamas, ostrich, deers, sheeps, cows, donkeys, turkey, rabbit, guinea pigs, pigs, horses. You can also pay $15 to go around and feed them. They offer many activities: horse riding, Segway tours, archery, axe throwing, clay shooting. We did horse riding and axe throwing and had such a great time! The 1 hour horse ride was in a group of around 10 people through the surroundings. The scenery was beautiful and I really enjoyed the ride. You can't really take pictures as you need to hold the reigns but they take pictures of you at the end. (I'm still waiting to get them after sending two messages) The axe throwing was really fun. We did a few rounds to train and started playing a bunch of different games. I loved that it was outdoors and that it was an hour long session! Lots of time to enjoy the activity.

We did horse ride at Hunter Farm and Adventure centre, our experience was awesome. Staff were friendly and ride was exciting. Parking: Plenty of angle parking available in the site. Booking: Recommended to book online as Sometime they get really busy . Cost: price was fair. Best time to horse ride would be around 9 am in the morning during the summer as it might get hotter later in the days or evening would be ideal time. Toilet cleaning was okay.

Went horse riding here and had a great time! Lovely relaxing but fun ride. The horses were gorgeous and had very fun personalities. The ladies that ran out tour were lovely as well. The farm itself had a bunch of animals to see and very fun decorations - kids would love! Also say hi to Dusty the adorable farm dog!

Amazing experience for my wife and me. Big shout out for our host! Did archery and axe throwing, had wonderful time. Atmosphere and general vibe of the farm is something else, would recommend for everybody!

I and my wife did the one hour horse riding here and it was amazing. The ride was quite calm and enjoyable and rode across the bushes and beautiful wineries. The lady instructor was also very nice and trained us to navigate the horse while riding, which was quite amazing to know. The ride was very smooth.

Top day! From the moment we called to hire the bikes, Pip was lovely and located some bikes for us at the last minute. We had a set itinerary of wineries to visit and found the bikes an easy, scenic way to get around the Hunter Valley and experience the beautiful surrounds. We had the best day and would definitely do it again next time we're at the Hunter Valley. Thank you Sutton Bike Hire, it was a highlight of our weekend away.

Had such a fun trip in Hunter after hiring electric bikes here. Glenn and his wife were so friendly and helpful and helped us plan our trip as well as kindly picking up and taking us back to our accommodation. 100%recommend

Wow! My BIL suggested this after having just had his work Xmas party this way. It was great. Was a highlight of my 3 days in the hunter valley. Definitely wouldn’t have covered 45km on a standard push bike. I loved that you could work as little or as hard as you wanted. Glenn was very responsive and helpful both before and after. We had no issues whilst on them but felt confident that he’d have been there straight away if we did. Cycleways were great and the maps clear. Highly recommended.

Wow this is the most amazing experience! I cannot recommend Glenn, Phillipa and their incredible team highly enough! We chose to do the full day e-bike hire for our work end of year get together and every single one of our team walked away wanting to book this experience to do again with their friends and families! It is such a wonderful, fun and easy way to see the beautiful Hunter Valley. Riding the e-bikes was so cool - feeling the power kick in (especially up the rolling hills) meant we could just really enjoy the scenery and take in the fresh air. When we were planning the day Glenn and Phillipa were amazing in understanding the type of day we wanted to create and recommending stops along the way. On the day. we were able to text Glenn and his friendly team anywhere we bought wine or produce and he was there in a flash to pick it up and keep it cool for us back at the Estate ready for our return. Glenn, Phillipa and their team are so friendly and really went above and beyond to create the most special experience for us! Thank you Sutton Estate!

What a brilliant, fun filled experience! We couldn't have asked for a better way to get around the Hunter Valley. From the moment I contacted Glenn about hiring his electric bikes for my partners Birthday, to the time we sadly returned them - everything was perfect! Glenn happily picked us up and returned us to our accommodation, plotted a fabulous winery itinerary for us and even offered to pick up our purchases. Our experience at Audrey Wilkinson was truly one of a kind — from the rolling vineyards that stretched across the hills to the perfect blend of old-school charm and modern elegance inside the venue. The layout was beautifully thought out, with a welcoming bar area, carefully displayed merchandise, and a small museum that showcased fascinating old tools once used in the art of winemaking. Everywhere we looked, there was a sense of history and craftsmanship. The atmosphere inside seamlessly matched the breathtaking views outside — serene lakes, endless rows of vines, and distant mountain ranges that painted a picture-perfect backdrop. It was not just a tasting, but a journey through tradition, nature, and beauty.

The view at Audrey Wilkinson is absolutely stunning, with one of the best vineyard outlooks in the Hunter Valley. It’s the perfect spot to sit back, relax, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The wines are of good quality, especially the Semillon and Shiraz, which showcase the character of the region very well. However, the service was just average. While everything went smoothly, it lacked the warmth and attentiveness that would have made the experience truly exceptional. Overall, it’s still a great place to visit for the atmosphere and wine, but the service could be improved to match the high quality of the setting.

We had a wonderful wine tasting experience here. The staff were very friendly and welcoming—despite us arriving without a reservation, they kindly offered to seat us. The semillon was especially good, and the staff were extremely generous, offering us more than the standard tasting. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up purchasing a bottle to take home. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

This will always be my favourite Hunter Winery. Such a pretty location rich with history. We booked the cheese and wine pairing experience. From the moment we were greeted on arrival with a glass of sparkling rose, to being introduced to the bubbly and friendly Robyn, we felt very appreciated and special. Lovely wines together with a very special bottle of fortified wine ro take home, which was sampled directly from the barrel. This was an exquisite visit and highly recommend this activity for the staff, location, wines, cheese and ambience. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thought it was about time to see what all the fuss was about. Well Muse certainly did not disappoint. From the moment you walk to the doors, you are greeted by a friendly staffer who opens the door and greets you. The restaurant with its large open fire place, and open kitchen has a feeling of honesty and calm. The staff are extremely polite, attentive, and well versed on the degustation menu. The food was lovely, an intricate blend of ingredients, to dazzle the taste buds and sensors. To Chef and owner Troy Brown, fantastic night, to all the staff, thank you for a great experience. We had a mini family reunion at Hunter Valley last December. This meal was one of the highlights. It was one of the best restaurants we've visited in Australia. The staff and the service is outstanding especially since we have a rather large group. Everyone is friendly and helpful, from the host at the door to our waitress and somm. Some of us had the wine pairing and everything is well designed and thought out. The entire five course meal is well paced, delicious and flows perfectly. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful long lunch with wine tasting at Muse Restaurant in Hunter Valley. The wine pairing was excellent, starting with three whites, followed by two reds, and finishing with a dessert wine. Each pour was introduced with friendly and professional explanations. The food was equally impressive — the pan roasted Redgate Farm duck was perfectly cooked. A relax afternoon in Hunter Valley.

From the moment you enter Muse the attention to detail starts and doesn’t stop. Staff are so friendly but respectful of your dining experience. The food is delicious and innovative with each dish artistically presented. The wine menu is extensive and the staff are even happy to make cocktails on request. The cost reflects the dining experience being a 5 course degustation menu on Fridays which is when we went. You can also have matching wines with each course. This is well worth the experience and the different flavors will certainly wow you.

Service 10/10 - servers and sommeliers alike were very proactive and attentive. Drinks 10/10 - Absolutely delicious. The best espresso martini I've ever had in my life and incredible coffee + wine. Ambience 10/10 - lovely open wooden fireplace Food was unfortunately a big big letdown! Although dishes were well presented, we found that most of them had lackluster flavours. The fish courses were delicate and refined, and I enjoyed the scotch egg, but in general we found the other dishes to be average. For a fine dining degustation at this price we would also assume we would have a main course with some form of red or white meat, and we felt unsatisfied with the mushroom main that we were served. No one on our table finished that particular dish. It felt like a missed opportunity to showcase local livestock produce. I can't say I left feeling full and satisfied. I'm torn about this place because absolutely everything except the food was perfection. If there was a bar option I'd love to return for a drink but with the food at its current standard, I was left disappointed and don't think I will be back.

The degustation at Muse Restaurant is fantastic. Deserving of their chefs hats. Be sure to add their signature coconut dessert! Amazing. And if dining on the weekend, the scotch eggs need to be added too. Also really delicious. A trip to Hunter Valley is a good reason to indulge in wonderful local produce, and Muse didn’t disappoint.

What a great dog friendly wine experience! Staff were super nice, cheese platter was delicious and wine was divine! They even had a puppy-treat platter and pup hydration station for our dogs! It was such a lovely chilled way to spend our morning!

Had the perfect wine tasting at Briar Ridge with Shannon to kick start our visit to the Hunter. We booked our tasting online and had the cheese platter sitting out in the sun on the veranda. The outlook was magic, wines were delicious but most of all we loved the personalised service. Highly recommended a visit to Briar Ridge where you could easily spend a few hours drinking beautiful wines.

One of the most scenic vineyards I’ve visited in the Hunter. But what made our day was our host (so sorry I forgot the name, it was the lovely gentlemen who owns big dogs). He was welcoming, funny, knowledgable and even gave our group’s pup some treats. A lovely surprise was the complimentary cheese and crackers that came with the booking. Thank you so much, we are so grateful for the experience and I will be back for sure!

By far my most favourite wine tasting experience. All of the wine were great, and I would like to make a special shout out to Dave who served us; he was friendly and knowledgeable. Great place, highly recommended!

This was our first visit to Briar Ridge Vineyard - an absolutely beautiful place - a short drive from Pokloblin, but worth every kilometre spent on the road. Nine of us had a private tasting with Dave, our dedicated sommelier. He was so knowledgeable and friendly, and he chose excellent wines to suit everyone's taste. We left very happy and with boots full of wine boxes. Do yourself a favour and visit this winery ❤️🍷🍇❤️

Nice place to stop for a bit of DIY wine tasting. You get provided with the glasses and a book to read up on what wines are available, you have a card to spend $30 on tastings from the machine. Some of the best wines from The hunter included in the tastings. You can then grab a glass or bottle of wine and sit outside and enjoy the lovely quiet bush scenery. We also ordered a cheese platter to go with our wines 🙂

Side Bar for Cold Chisel & Co on Saturday night - a very civilised alternative to being at the concert next door. Sound was great, staff were friendly, & wine was delicious (and much more reasonably priced than at the concert!). We had seats under cover (out of the rain) with Indian food & brownies for dessert. Lots of fun 🤩

My partner and I visited the Wine House and were not disappointed. From the time we walked in, we were made welcomed by Adam and Phoebe who showed us around and set us up for some wine tasting and a bite to eat. They were so down to earth knowledgeable, funny and engaging. We walked away with a few of our favourite wines 🍷 and an enjoyable experience. While we were there, work was being done outside in the gardens to plant a variety of Indigenous bush tucker plants.. what a fantastic idea! We will definitely be coming back and letting our friends know about this place! Thank you to Adam and Phoebe for making our visit a memorable one ❤️ see you next time :)

Great wine tasting hosted by Adam. His knowledge and passion for wine were exceptional. He recommended wine we would usually not like and we ended up buying a bottle we loved it so much! Definitely recommend to come here for a relaxed but informative wine tasting.

This place is terrific. I’ve been visiting since 2015 and a club member since 2019 so maybe a bit biased. Of course I’d probably not stay a member for so long if it wasn’t so great. On this visit, Tonia looked after us and was the perfect host. Knowledgeable about the wines and wineries, helpful, and friendly. We partook in the Iconic tasting which allows us to sample a number of top tier wines of our choosing. I love the self serving enomatic system! All the cellar doors are great in the Hunter but I just love that a visit here allows me to try wines from a number of different wineries. With so many different varieties, it’s great and you feel like you’ve done the whole Hunter. Great central location and the tasting room has a great atmosphere and is in a beautiful spot with bushland surrounding. Add it to your Hunter itinerary, you won’t regret it!!

Didn’t enjoy my experience with this winery. We arrived to our booking on time. It was for an occasion. The woman who served us wasn’t the nicest. I ordered an espresso with my bottle of wine and had to wait for it for about an hour. I came up to ask where my espresso was after about 20 minutes and she said she was busy. I had to ask for it when we were leaving as we had a schedule. So awkward and unprofessional. The others from the group mentioned she was rude to them also. Replying: That’s so wild because we called up and said that we were 16 and can we book and they said no you can just walk in. I’ve worked in hospitality for many years and would recommend to have more structure if you want the service to run smoothly or perhaps more staff?

They had a large range of gin, vodka and liqueurs. The taste testing was $10 and you get to try 6 different spirits of your own choosing. I liked the popcorn liquor.

Beautiful setting, great selection, and thoroughly enjoyable tasting. On a recent visit to the Hunter Valley, we decided to do a tasting at the Hunter Distillery, namely for their selection of gin and liqueurs. From arrival we were warmly greeted with the tasting options well explained to us by our host Kylie. For our tasting we chose Mystery Gin, Coffee Vodka, Chilli Vodka (has a real kick to it!),and for liqueurs Blackberry, Popcorn (our favourite!) and Passionfruit. All amazing. We ended up buying a bottle of the popcorn liqueur and a mystery gin. Really enjoyed our conversation with our host Kylie also - very down to earth, knowledgeable and friendly, and added to the truly postive experience. I highly recommend visting this place when you are next in the Hunter Valley, and a thanks to Kylie and her team for the warm welcome and quality product.

One of the best spirit tastings I ever had. Boutique distillery for a reason. Mystery gin was my favorite. Popcorn liqueur was outstanding It was like liquid popcorn. I enjoyed their coffee vodka which will be good for espresso martini. Also, their lychee and hazelnut liqueur. Must do activity while in Hunter's valley.

We had such a great taste testing experience yesterday!! The lady with the accent was amazing, we could talk to her all day lol! She went out of her way to give us recommendations for our anniversary dinner and looked up distances etc for us. She's amazing!!

This is an excellent stop to taste a good range of distilled products. The staff member who served us was very knowledgeable and took time to explain the process of making the various drinks. We mostly enjoyed the schnapps and liqueurs and purchased a few bottles. I particularly enjoyed the hazelnut and lychee liqueurs.

An enjoyable tasting experience. The staff member we interacted with was very friendly. It costs $5 for 10 samples which you don't pay if you buy one of their products. A lot of interesting flavours to try. The honey vodka and gin were quite good. Ended up purchasing the honeydew melon liqueur which was fantastic.

Atmosphere, wines, generosity..incredible! My sis was visiting from Ireland and it was her first time wine tasting and Luke went above and beyond to give us the best experience…tasting so many wines, explaining everything without making you feel like an amateur when asking any questions! We loved the Cab Sav (2019) $55 which we will age for a few more years and try again next time my sister visits! The sparkling was yummy (the first pour we tried was a tad flat so they even opened a new bottle for us to try…love that). This will also age well over a few years and was as good as any from that ‘named region in France!’! The muscat was also awesome and in such a funky bottle…I got one for my father in law…Xmas sorted! We only did 1 or 2 wineries in Hunter as were short on time and I could not have asked for a better experience and memory for my sis and I! Luke you are a legend and honestly made her holiday so memorable. Thanking you from our hearts to yours x

Had an amazing wine tasting experience at Pepper Tree Wines! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. A huge thank you to Mick and Hayden for making the visit so enjoyable their knowledge of the wines and passion for what they do really shone through. They took the time to share insights about the wines, the vineyard, and the winemaking process, while keeping the conversation fun and engaging. Shout out to Mick and Hayden who also went above and beyond to Accomodate for my 2 children and made the visit that extra special. It felt more like chatting with friends than a formal tasting, and their hospitality made the whole experience stand out. Couldn’t recommend Pepper Tree Wines enough definitely a must-visit for anyone in the area! 🍷 If I was to make a small recommendation 2025 Limited Release 'Sticky Pig' Late Harvest Pinot Gris 😉

Peppertree Winery is absolutely picturesque, such a beautiful and charming spot in the Hunter Valley. The grounds are stunning and have such a peaceful, welcoming feel. Our wine tasting experience was made even better by Hayden, who was amazing! He was so knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the wines, and made the whole experience feel really personal and enjoyable. Every wine we tried was delicious, and Hayden’s recommendations were spot on. We left with smiles (and a few bottles!) We highly recommend visiting this gorgeous winery!

I've previously been an organic farmer and grower, and always tried to source good but reasonably priced organic wines, and I recently came across Tamburlaine. My experience has been a very positive one, as they offer range of affordable wines of great quality and availability. My partner and I have enjoyed our mixed bundles, doing our own tastings here in Tasmania as the mainland is a long way away! And we've had free delivery! The Reserve Syrah 2023 is especially smooth and deliciousl. Very happy customers!

Beautiful spot for a tasting of some very nice wine! Tamburlaine is must do stop on the vineyard trail. Their wines really do cater for everyone's tastes and they have the bonus of being very reasonably priced. The staff are all friendly and welcoming and the tasting room has a great vibe. Our wine taster Seth was very knowledgeable about the wines and gave us a great tasting experience. We ended up purchasing a dozen,joined the wine club and also grabbed some of their gin! One stop cellar door you don't want to miss

This was our favourite winery of our little Hunter Valley tour. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere on a rainy winters day. We loved all the wines… and the fact they sell them in backpacker friendly flat pack bottles! Our host was really informative and we had a great chat with her while we tasted the wines. Lovely!

A wonderful and unexpected highlight of our trip. We popped in for a tasting and were hosted by Adrian, whose knowledge of the wines, engaging storytelling, and great sense of humour created such a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Have never tried their wines, and fell in love immediately, we never felt rushed, and each pour came paired with insights that deepened our appreciation. We had hoped to return today to try the gin, but other plans got in the way. Safe to say we’ll absolutely be back.

We enjoyed our tasting at Tambourlaine (and bonus points for it being the only free tasting in the Hunter Valley!) - the Pinot Gris and GSM were particular favourites of ours. One thing to note is although the website states that bookings are not required for less than 5 people, we were unable to do the vegan cheese tasting as a walk in (which was a shame as we had planned our day around this), so recommend booking ahead for any cheese tastings.

While food & wine pairings are entirely personal, I can objectively say that the portion sizes here are shockingly small. Especially for a $60 tasting. There was barely enough to contemplate if the food was actually compatible with the glass it had been paired with. We found better value and better quality tastings for $15 (without food) at most other reputable venues in The Hunter. Everyone in our group found the pairings here to be a little chaotic, sometimes even completely unsuitable, except for the sausage roll & Shiraz combo. And once inside the cellar door we were disappointed by how flat the decor felt, in contrast to the striking architecture of the building’s exterior. We chose Hungerford’s $60 “Epic” tasting over Brokenwood’s $75 “Match Experience” because Hungerford appeared online to be better value than Brokenwood. This was not the case. Each tiny dish was essentially just a little re-heat bite. So unfortunately we didn’t think there was anything “Epic” about this tasting.

Visited Hungerford Hill for the paired wine tasting. This was the best experience we had over the weekend. Our host was super friendly and knowledgeable. The wines and food were amazing. Loved that we could follow the recommendations or mix and match to experiment.

We visited Hungerford Hill when on our wine tour with Wine D Roads & it was the first winery of the day. A great start & over all our favourite winery we visited that day. We were hosted by Taylor, she was a fantastic host. She was upbeat, funny, friendly & extremely knowledgeable. I would certainly recommend visiting Hungerford Hill on your visit to Hunter Valley. We will definitely revisit.

Nice spot with a good look ✨ and it smelled unreal inside 🤤🍫—proper chocolate heaven 😍. But honestly, felt more like a boutique shop 🛍️ than an actual chocolate factory 🏭. Bit too much random stuff 🧼🍯 from other brands 🏷️, would’ve been better if they stuck to selling their own 💯. Seating was almost non-existent 🪑🚫 which made no sense 🤷—massive missed opportunity 🌅 with that view outside 🌳☕. Coffee shop didn’t have a clear menu 📋❌, and the whole vibe inside was kinda flat 😶‍🌫️. Staff seemed bored 😐, tall bloke at the door gave security energy 🕴️🔍, not sure what his deal was 🤨. Prices were wild 💸—$89 for 36 pieces ⁉️ Chocolate tasted good 😋🍬, not denying that ✅, but kinda overpriced 💰 and overhyped 📢 tbh smh ngl pmo 🫠🤦‍♂️. All up: looked nice 👀, smelled better 👃🍫, but the experience was average 🫤. So much missed opportunity 🙄, they should contact me 📞 and I'll send them a business plan 📈🧠 to make it wayyyy better 🔥💡 trust on that crodie 🫱. Still a nice visit tho, wouldn’t not recommend it 🤷‍♀️👌.

Quite an extensive range of chocolate on offer in a large hall shaped room with the workshop. Pricing on product is quite high though its artisan chocolate made onsite and the products are delicious but the ice cream in the packets are simply boring, get rid of them.

Beautifully presented and very clean. Chocolates are quite pricey but I can appreciate the effort that goes in to each chocolate which is why the price is how it is. and they would benefit from samples. Highly reccomend the passionfruit creme small chocolates and the Dubai dark chocolate bar

Despite what this place says on its website, it is NOT a dog friendly location. Dogs are not welcome on the verandah seating and are relegated to a dusty picnic table at the entrance to the shop. Security staff were abrupt at the door. Despite being able to read the sign on the front door of this location, the security guard opened the door and rudely exclaimed “you can’t bring a dog in here. You can’t bring your dog here”. Then shut the door. It was clear on the door, there was not need for his aggression. It is obvious that dogs are not allowed inside a food shop- we understand that. However, do not hold yourself out to be dog friendly if the only “friendly” location is a picnic table at the carpark. Unless your verandah is dog friendly and patrons can sit and enjoy your goods comfortably with their dog, then do not purport to be dog friendly. Only giving 2 streets for the goods, not the service or location.

A great find in the Hunter Valley. The hot chocolate is delicious and the Berry Sorbet was a star choice! Chocolates were so reasonably priced that I couldn't believe it. Staff friendly and helpful. Great range of local items from preserves to coffee. Favourite chocolate was the cherry liqueur. So tart and delicious. Watch the pit it's a whole cherry. Will be back.

Came with my son 6 min before closing, it was Sunday and next day public holiday. Parking was full, a lot of people around. A man came shouting "we are closed!" I said "still 5 min!" He said "do you understand we need to go home!" Very rude. My son just wanted to pick one chocolate in 2 minutes. We left upset. Never coming back. Don’t recommend.

Located at Sobels Winery, 5 Halls Road, Polkolbon, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 This is one of the best markets in the Hunter region. It showcases a large selection of arts, crafts, clothing, timber products, jewellery and food items from local artisans. The stall holders are 100% local to the Hunter Valley. The market is dog 🐶 friendly but must be on a leash. The is plenty of parking 🅿️ available on the grounds of the winery. It’s not really wheelchair accessible as the ground is very uneven and can be difficult to push a wheelchair. There is stalls where you can enjoy a bite to eat eg pizza 🍕 cooked on location. There’s approximately 50 stalls at the market each week. There’s also wine tasting available inside the winery. The items on sale are all 100% handmade goods. There are toilet 🚻 facilities available attached to the winery. The markets are held every Saturday from 9.00am until 2.00pm and some Sundays from 9.00am until 2.00pm. I would definitely recommend a visit. There was some really interesting items and it was top quality. Thumbs up!!! 👍👍👍

Always a nice place to take visitors. The stalls are always changing, and there is always something new to be found. Great variety, great to chat with the stall holders and an overall nice atmosphere. One tip, just drive in and look for parking. If it's full on the verges, chances are there is space at Sobels.

Handmade markets was a fun little way to spend some time in the Hunter Valley. The merchants were friendly and the stalls were unique. There arent many stores but each store fit the hunter valley vibe. Recommend if you’re looking to pass some time.

Great market. All products are handmade and prices are reasonable. Beautiful jewellery and perfumed oils and other handicrafts. The coffee was very good and went well with the sourdough, chocolate, espresso, scones.

Gorgeous old school markets. Plenty of opportunities to talk about the products and taste testing is always on offer! If I have a visitor to the area these markets are a standard morning out!

Mostly I wanted to try the gin, & I did end up getting a bottle of the Bush Gin to take home. The Native Plum Finger Lime was also nice, but the Blue Island was, to me, a typical example of a tipple that plays up the butterfly pea colour changing gimmick to try to make up for the flavour. (Just not to my tastes, ultimately - I’m sure others would disagree with me on this!) Staff were lovely & knowledgeable and the tiny tasting cups are totally charming. A bit disappointed that the tasting fee isn’t put towards cellar door purchases as it is at some other places, but I do understand the need for it.

My wife and I went there for our honeymoon to do a gin & vodka tasting and honestly it was some of the best ones we've ever tried. For what you are paying it's great value and was a great opportunity to have a better idea how different alcohol tastes. Definitely recommend and a beautiful place for it too!

My boyfriend and I had a great time here! Unfortunately we did not catch the staffs’ name, but the attendant that took care of us today was amazing! Super friendly and knowledgeable about the products!

Vodkas, gins and liqueurs. We had a great time as a family tasting some options. The standard tasting package gives you the option to taste 5 spirits from what's on offer. However, some who were there seemed to have gone the full spread. The staff are friendly and know their stuff. The different flavours are delicious and everyone in our party of six found at least three or four flavours that they considered buying. If we hadn't just bought a bunch the previous day, we would have walked away with several bottles. Prices are comparable with other local distilleries.

Went to Matilda Bay for dinner on the 1st of January and only had a set menu, which is reasonable to keep up with the amount of guests they would have however the meals were way overpriced. They did however bring out a slice of bread with butter whilst waiting for our main and dessert. Ordered the pork belly for main and was delicious however not filling at all, with ordering the chocolate mousse for dessert which was also delicious with the touch of fruit they put with it. Service was average with waiters not looking very happy.

Cool brewery to visit however the restaurant is quite old. We had to get the banquet and the food was average. The meat was cooked really well, soft and tender but was just lacking some flavour. The best part is you can order beer paddles to your table and get a free midi from it too when you return your paddle. Id recommend trying both the light and dark paddles to see which you like. You will love this place if you enjoy pale ale’s but personally I love lagers and there wasn’t many options for that.

Fast service. But the door greeter did not like that we didn't have a booking. The dining rooms were pretty well spaced and not too full. Food service came out very quickly same with drinks. Online ordering was simple enough to understand and pretty quick. Some parts have a very beer housey vibe to it.

Great place for a change from the wineries. There's a few good beers on tap and I'd recommend getting the tasting platter - it's good value at $15 for 6 beers and you get a middy of your favorite when you return the paddle to the bar. The only downside is the lack of ambience in the bar area - maybe a bit of music would liven the place up a bit but other than that great place to check out

We stayed a couple of nights in the Hunter Valley resort. Therefore we had dinner 2 nights there. Food was great, Lamb Rump was cooked to perfection. Tap beers and cider are ice cold (perfect). The wine tasting is really nice, fun, suitable for people who know about wine and for those who have no knowledge at all. David conducted the wine tasting, was good and enjoyable. Breakfast is poor, but dinner is a great option, you can have as much wine as you want and just walk back to the room. Also great to enjoy a midday drink or dessert looking at the vineyard. Good price, good portions.

I went here recently with some friends, the service was very quick and the beers are amazing. I had a very average buttermilk chicken but my friends loved their pizza's.

Came here as part of a wine tasting tour. The portions of Calamari and beef patty were generous, but the pickled ginger was a little overpowering and the calamari arrived soggy and a little cold. Unless it was meant as a cold dish....? :) The Beer Sampling Paddle was fun, and you get a complimentary Midi-sized beer of your choice if you return the beer paddle (I don't know why... do people usually steal/keep the paddle as a souvenir or from being in an intoxicated state. I'd recommend the Ginger Beer for the free midi!

A great gallery in an unexpected location. Wonderful art to look at and purchase, should you be so inclined. Various types/styles of art on display. Will definitely visit again one day.

Unique art. With many different mediums. Local gallery local artists in the fabulous Hunter valley surrounding areas. I highlighted recommended this art gallery. Very friendly staff who are welcoming and happy to giving advice on the artworks. Many fantastic art for sale at very reasonable price.

I wasn't able to find one piece of art which I didn't like. It's that good!

We've driven past the watershed gallery sign for 3 years until we drove in and visited and it was well worth the wait. What a little gem this place is. Lyn and her husband Ron run the place and they are awesome. The quality of work they keep finding is astonishing. I'm a particular fan of the sculpted firepits they have but I wouldn't dare light it. Well worth a visit and a chat.

Lyn and Ron were lovely and accommodating. We greatly appreciated their time and help in finding amazing art, particularly Lyn's own work! Great variety, we will be back!

We had the pleasure of meeting the owners on our recent visit to this beautiful gallery. Amazing artists, local and from Sydney exhibited here. Contemporary and classic. Well worth a visit (and you can stop for a lovely coffee and cake just down the road)

Our family enjoyed a 30-minute horse ride along a beautiful bushland trail, followed by a self-guided farm tour where we had the chance to feed a variety of animals. It was such a fun and memorable experience! The kids absolutely loved riding the horses, and it was a joy to watch them interact up close with friendly animals like chickens, ducks, donkeys, goats, sheep, llamas, cows, pigs, and even an ostrich. A perfect day filled with nature, laughter, and hands-on learning!

We spent half a day at Hunter Valley Horse Riding and Adventures and honestly, we can’t wait to go back. Margaret and her team were so kind – they treated us like family from the moment we arrived. We did a 30-minute horse ride, played on the go-karts, fed the ducks, went yabbying, had a tractor ride, and even got to pat the bunnies and kittens. We finished the day with a BBQ pack and cooked lunch ourselves, and the sides were so delicious. It was such a wholesome, fun experience for the kids (and us!), and we’ll definitely be returning on our next trip. We also checked out The Thirsty Horse for breakfast the next morning – highly recommend. The kids ran wild in the kids shed while we actually got to sit and enjoy our coffees. Perfection!

I won a voucher to Hunter Valley Horses a couple of weeks ago at Maccas and booked a 1 hour trail ride. It was SO much fun, the staff were so lovely and I just chatted to one of the trainers the whole time and she told me all about each horse and how much she loves them. They care so much for the animals there and it was so amazing, just had THE BEST time!!!! beautiful trail, gorgeous horse just epic. Can’t believe I won it from Maccas too, so awesome. Will definitely be back!! Highly recommend. - Maya G

What a wonderful experience! Took my niece and her Mum from Brisbane for a horse trail ride last Sunday and it was the best. We are all novices and were a little anxious about riding. The team guided us and made us feel very safe plus the horses were very happy and tame. It was a beautiful ride through the countryside with our lovely young gentleman (sorry i forgot his name). He was very sweet and personable and I couldn’t recommend them more highly. Great day out xx

My family and I had an amazing experience with Hunter valley horses on the 2/9 afternoon. I was a first time horse rider and didn’t feel confident riding the horses . Chloe, the trainer was lovely and catering which made me comfortable and calm. She also shared knowledges with me about the horses. Furthermore , the trail was beautiful and the horses were exceptionally trained and clean. Highly recommended and definitely coming back

Had a great experience on our 3-hour horse carriage tour. Jade was a friendly and happy tour guide with excellent photography skills. She gladly catered to our non alcohol request. I loved the horses especially Max and being able to sit at the front. Importantly, they seem to treat their horses well as they rotate their horses so they only work once per week.

Cold Chisel 50 last weekend. The bar area was the usual debacle at Roche w the crush to get to toilets behind it. 1 white 1 red 1 sparkling on offer ( it’s wine country isn’t it) After asking if sparkling was standard alcohol content and assured it was I paid $55 for this absolute catpiss. Saw it for $15 today at Dans. I understand a bit of a mark up but over 3x as much leaves a bad taste in your mouth . It wasn’t cold and tasted v average, usual long line up and ran out of certain beers within hrs. On the upside there was lots of ladies w/c so didn’t have to wait forever once you made through the mud n crush to get there

At a table for 2. 3 mains absolutely superb. Side of crisp greens very good. Limited wine knowledge from staff. Ha ha sav blanc average and didn't pair that well. Goldfish lager a bit dry and flavourless. Dessert cheesecake beautiful, salted caramel choc tart.. crust a little dry more chocolate than caramel salt. Glass of voignier delicious. Overall very good. Service a little patchy. Nice ambience and relaxed vibe. Nice view. Excellent espresso. I'd give this a 7.5 /10.

Need to do a bit better on the bar side at the summer concerts. At Croeded House - No souvenir ice buckets left but the price is still the same. Wine $55 low quality and warm. Waited 40 mins at the bar. Could improve tremendously.

Went to Roche Estate for the RedHot Summer tour last night. Only 1 choice for wine, white,red,or sparkling. The only option to buy wine was with an ice bucket at $55. If you didn't want the bucket, the wine was still $55 for a wine that costs $13 in a bottle shop. Roche Estate has lost us, we'll never return. They are becoming the same as Hope

Went to the Red Hot Summer Tour 2020💕 with my daughter 💕 and her boyfriend, also met family friends here great venue great food drinks etc, Was a fantastic day and evening will be back for another great time again.

Worst place in the Hunter I have been for a concert, 40 minutes queue for the bar. Then they could not sell bottles of wine, at a winery. Poor organisation. $400 a seat and you should priority pass. Poor service. Lack of planning.

Been here just last Balloon aloft Fiesta and first ever Night Glow in Hunter Valley, I must say this venue is a great outdoor area for such spectacular event. Parking areas are wide and there were staffs who helped organize the parking slots for evry vehicle. It was such a nice experience. Toilets are quite crowded in a huge number of people, but queueing sounds fun. There sound system is also very audible.

The golf was great, the views were amazing, the the staff in the pro shop could’ve been better. I highly recommend playing there, just lower your expectations for the pro shop.

Played here recently (Dec '23). We teed off around midday during the heat and the round was well over 5 hours, there were not that many on the course but they did move fast. The course was in good enough condition, the greens were great as were most of the fairways but the bunkers needed some love and care. All in all a solid course and I will be back.

I played here a while ago while staying at the resort. It was belting down with heavy rain and I was soaked. Nonetheless, I didn't let it ruin my experience. Hunter Valley Golf Club is a nice course nestled in the middle of the many wineries in the region, featuring some really interesting holes requiring you to strategically plan your shots. As for the cost of the experience, I can't lie, the course certainly felt generic in some areas, having a few long straight holes. Apart from that, the course is nice but isn't comparable to the other 2 courses in the region. That doesn't mean you shouldn't check it out though, it's a great release course for a big trip to the Hunter Valley golf courses. The course has a putting green and chipping area on site with a stocked-out pro shop for your golfing needs. Hire clubs and carts were good, and had a back cover to protect any possessions behind the seats. All in all, this is a nice course, but certainly doesn't live up to other courses I've played at. Solid 4 stars :) No pictures due to rain sorry :(

Great tight and challenging golf course. Anthony in the pro shop and Ethan in the bar went beyond the call to look after us and make it such an enjoyable experience. Great golf, great food, great beer great service. Strongly recommend.

I had a round of golf here. I rented some clubs. They were over 20 years old and in really poor and tattered condition. The seven iron was bent. When I used the putter it gave out a gong as I hit the ball. I spoke to the people at the golf shop. They were extremely rude. The golf course itself was not in great condition. There we're a lot of divets and dents and bumps on the greens. I expected a lot better and I was disappointed.

Nice resort style course that is a good test for the average golfer but not a challenge for those with lower handicaps. Fairways at the moment are rather dry due to the drought. Greens though have been well maintained.

For the weekend golfer this can be a challenging course, yet a course where you will enjoy playing it because of the challenges. I hope you understand what I m trying to say. The course was well maintained and the special deal was good value. Recommended.

I remember this village to be vibrant, buzzing and full of people and energy, it was the must place to visit. The shops use to be full of beautiful, hand crafted, unique items and I always looked forward to coming and finding something different for gifts. It’s now so disappointing. Shops are empty, and the ones that are open are over priced and full of cheap temu junk, the facilities are old and dirty. Cant even express how disappointing and sad it is so see an iconic location like this, in this state. I hope someone is able to restore it back to its glory days. Did however have great coffee at Ronnie’s.

I got there on Labor day public holiday. Most of the shop is opened, not much people. I feel like many years ago it was so busy, all the time. Thank you all the shops that keep running the business.

I think on my previous visit it was busier and more lively. I think it's still nice and worth a stop. The cafes are lovely and there's a little playground. It could definitely use more shops/tenants to add to the atmosphere.

This shopping village used to be a must visit when you came to the Hunter Valley, but now it’s just sad. What was once a buzzing little village is now nearly empty, with most shops closed and up for lease. There’d be lucky to be five stores still open. Definitely not what it used to be, a group of us stopped in for about 15mins realising there was nothing around anymore.

Cool little shopping centre. It has lots of specially stores. On the weekend there is live music. Loads of cafes or places you can get a bite to eat. The shops are nicely spread out so it's like wandering in an old English village except there are no cobblestones. Horse drawn carriage rides can also be found here.

Sad to see such a Hunter icon diminishing. Amenities are quite run down. Landscaping seems not cared for. While there are quite a few stores vacant, there are those that are long time stalwarts, with standouts for us being the General Store, Ronnie's Cafe, the Toy Store, and a quaint little gift shop my duaghter calls the Fairy Store. Disappointed that the cosy country-style cafe has changed so much. Really a shadow of its former self. The village itself needs some TLC to bring it back to its glory days.

Lovely view over the vineyards and surrounding area. The road to the lookout includes some dirt roads but have some lovely views as you climb to the lookout.

Worth the drive. Relaxing view. Small cars might have a hard time traversing. Visitors should start caring for nature and STOP leaving their rubbish.

View from the actual point is good and I liked the views on the way also beautiful. The road is a bummer as towards the end about 3 km is just mud road.

Fun drive to get there the view was a bit of let down due to the weather. Lots of wallabys on the road, take it easy and it's a pleasant drive.... love the perspective when overlooking some of the vineyards below.

Brilliant view. But full of broken beer bottles, takeaway wrappers, old cans. If it was cleaned up a little, it could be great for families.

As a bit of an escape room groupie (and a long-time “researcher” of wine 🍷), this place has been on my must-do list for ages and it did not disappoint! The staff were so warm, welcoming, and up for a laugh, which set the perfect vibe from the start. The escape room itself? Honestly one of the best I’ve ever done. You get to flex your palate skills to unlock clues, and racing against the clock in complete darkness with just tiny flashlights added a fun twist. My partner and I even managed to escape without killing each other (a true miracle 😂). It’s such a unique and fun experience to slot in between cellar door stops. We’re already eyeing off the Chocolate Escape Room for next time, and the smash rooms are absolutely calling my name. To top it all off, I even scored a bottle of my favourite Tempus Two prosecco at the end 🥂 This place didn’t just live up to the hype - it exceeded it. Highly recommend for anyone looking for something unique, fun, and unforgettable in the Hunter!

GREAT! we had a fab time! Our first time in an escape room, and we SO enjoyed it! Quite challenging and wish we didn’t need clues to get out - but - once you know - you know … think a little outside the box and it’s ‘easy’ hahah! LOVELY people (and also met Roger the new resident orphan Rooster). Really fun way to kill an hour or 2 in the valley. Definitely recommend! Would love to come back for the other activities this little gem has on offer next time - so fun! 🍷🐓❤️🍷

Did the wine escape room on the 16/5/25 and it was so much fun! Would recommend to experienced escapees and first timers! Staff are great and friendly! We will be back for the chocolate escape room!

The Wine Escape Room Hunter Valley was just fantastic! I did it along with two other friends as part of a girls' weekend and it did not disappoint. Our host, Phillippa, was so much fun! If you're in the area add this to your list, it's an absolute must-do experience!

Great experience! After our hot air balloon was cancelled we wanted to find something else to do. The escape room was a challenge and the smash room was the best way to end. The service was amazing! Kyla was so fun and friendly. Highly recommended. Can't wait to come back to try axe throwing and the new escape rooms once they are finished.

I had no idea what to expect as this was my first escape room experience. Everyone was super friendly and nice. The wine tasting for the wine region is a nice twist. Only issue is we only drink red wine so that was unfortunately wasted on us. Took my son for his birthday and he said it was the highlight of the day. We used our discovery vouchers so that kept the costs down. Only negative was that we found the music a bit too loud in the Smash room area. We however look forward to experiencing the next adventure that you have in the pipelines. Thanks for a great experience.

Lewis is a fantastic host! He and Mike took great care of us. The wines were excellent, it was hard to decide which take home (but we managed). The cheeseboard pairing was a great addition to our wine experience. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and would make a wonderful location for a special event. Overall, Ivanhoe is an outstanding stop to make during a Hunter Valley wine tour!

My wife and I are really recommend this winery in Hunter valley. Staff is so kind and can see great view while you're do tasting at balcony. Also the wine they produce is delicious, beautiful.

Just had lunch and a wine tasting with my girlfriend there. Lovely evening with great food and drinks. But most of all the service was the best out of all the wineries we visited in the hunter valley. We were served by Taylor all evening. She was very accommodating and very bubbly. We were both impressed by her service. Highly recommend anyone coming here if you stay in the hunter valley

Had a wonderful lunch at Harkham Wines Restaurant – absolutely divine! We enjoyed the tacos and salt & pepper squid, and every bite was packed with flavour. Tried the Hark Angel Shiraz from their natural wine selection and it was just lovely. The service was outstanding – warm smiles, friendly and informative staff who really looked after us. This place is definitely on our must-visit-again list!

Came for dinner on our first night in the Hunter, and this was the perfect welcome. Excellent food that seemed to be designed around the wines so the pairings were excellent. We loved it so much we came back the next day for the tasting and were lucky enough to be guided though it with Richie, the winemaker. Would recommend Harkham for food and wine!

Satisfied group of five! We were looking for a relaxed atmosphere with wine tasting and a bite to eat. We were greeted with warmness, and nothing was a bother. We tasted numerous wines and enjoyed amazing food (prawns, lamb, chicken, aranchini...the lust goes on). Beautiful atmosphere, even better chocolate liqueur! Very happy. Thank you ❤️

The food was great, but the manager was extremely arrogant and condescending. Coming from a hospitality background myself, I was genuinely shocked by his attitude and lack of customer service. From the moment we walked in, he made offhand comments about how “people in the Hunter need to calm down,” which immediately set the tone. They had run out of several menu items, and when we ordered Tommy’s margaritas, they arrived overly smoked with mezcal, watery, and without salt. When we mentioned this, the manager refused to remake them in the traditional style and responded with passive-aggressive comments about how he “knew best.” Throughout our meal, tables around us remained cluttered with empty plates, and the music, loud metal, felt completely out of place for the setting. Overall it was a disappointing experience, despite the food being great and our waitress doing her best.

We were a group of 7 people and we did the full wine tasting. Totally fine, great wine but the service was not hospitable. We were served by Clint and while we understand it was quite busy, he would just pour the wines, briefly explain and leave quickly. If we tried to ask questions, his answers were short or he would leave in the middle of us asking it. We’ve been to other wineries before where the sommelier would actually take the time to talk to us even if it was brief to get to others but we just felt the service here was cold. Great wines, great location, server was so-so.

Fantastic wines, we have been coming here for years and they never disappoint. Best of all, dog friendly. A must try whilst in the Hunter.

First time at Piggs Peake this week - and absolutely loved it! Amazing location with beautiful garden and veggie patches to explore. Tasting experience was great and picked up some bargains to bring home. Didn’t eat at the restaurant but wished we did - looked incredible!

We’ve visited Piggs Peake around six times over the past eight years and have loved every previous experience, which is why we were a little disappointed with our most recent visit. The staff were polite and welcoming and we really appreciated that they brought out some wines not on the main tasting list, including ones we had loved previously and wanted to buy again. We still ended up purchasing six bottles, so the quality of the wines remains excellent. However, the whole tasting felt very rushed. We had set aside an hour to enjoy the experience, but it ended up being around 15 minutes. The staff waited at our side so the next glass could be poured immediately after we finished each one, which made it feel more like a conveyor belt than a relaxed tasting. We were the only guests there and it was mid-week, so we would have preferred a more laid-back atmosphere where we could linger and enjoy the wines at our own pace. At this stage, based on the atmosphere of our recent visit, we don’t think we will be returning, which is really disappointing given how much we’ve enjoyed Piggs Peake in the past.

First time visiting this winery and Jarrod helped with an amazing tasting experience! Highly recommend the “Apple sauce” sweet fizzy semillon! Would definitely come back here when we visit the Hunter

We had such a wonderful time at the winery! I brought my younger sister visiting from Korea, and she absolutely loved it too. The wine was excellent, and Gerald was so kind and explained everything so well. Honestly, we weren’t planning to buy more since we had already purchased quite a bit elsewhere and just wanted to do the tasting, but we ended up taking home three bottles ^^ We were more than satisfied and will definitely bring our guests here again. Just WOW! We love everything here, the wines are amazing - every single one of them. The views are spectacular! And the service is outstanding. Kat was doing the wine tasting for us and she is lovely, knowledgeable and super caring. She remembered exactly who likes which wine in the group and made sure everyone got to try their favourite. Her passion for wine is contagious and we leave every time with a few bottles. We came here a few times now always between other wineries but we always stayed longer than we planned and it still is our favourite winery in the Hunter Valley.

We had the pleasure of visiting the cellar door here as part of our mystery picnic. After sampling your wines and purchasing several bottles we asked if we could finish our day on your grounds with all our goodies including your wine and were given the privilege of picnicking down near the house. Our host was most welcoming and extremely knowledgeable on the delicious wines on show at this picturesque cellar door. We sat out on the deck on a glorious day. We were neither rushed nor forgotten. My partner and I would thoroughly recommend a stop here. You will be glad that you did.

On a couples weekend to the Hunter, Cockfigher's Ghost was first on our list. Little did we know that it would surpass our expectations of what a wine tasting experience could be. Paddy took us personally through our Premiere wine tasting list and customised it based on our preferences and how we were liking the wines we tasted. He showed us great hospitality and knowledge set looking over the vineyards in a beautiful cellar door. What was above and beyond for me was when I requested to try an off list wine and without hesitation he brought out a bottle. Beautiful wines and best experience compared to every other cellar door we visited.

The staff here were very kind and knowledgeable and attentive. They went over and beyond to meet our expectations. Their wine was also splendid and paired well with a lot of our home cooked dinner. They have an incredible view as well. I would highly recommend people to visit.

I took my partner here in June for his birthday. We landed by helicopter and were welcomed by Phil. Phil was amazing and satisfied our needs. He is full of knowledge and we learned a few things about wine. The staff were friendly and I can happily say my partner said it was the best birthday present ever from the whole overall experience we had. Would highly recommend and would like to return in the future. The food next door was also very nice !

One of our favourite wineries we have ever been to. We sat on the terrace outside with stunning views over the water and hills, and the wine was the best we tasted in the whole Hunter. Kat our host was fantastic, so attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. We left very happy and with a few bottles of wine!

This is a very pretty winery. We had a lovely tasting here in the members room beside the fireplace. Highly recommended tasting. Chocolate shop downstairs is a bonus for the non-drinkers. Wines are fair prices too.

Great tasting of amazing gins from Far Distillery on a stunning property. These small batch gins are incredible. Watch out for the coffee liqueur in development.

We visited the Cellar Door on Sunday, what a wonderful tasting experience. Sitting outside on the balcony was the perfect place to taste the premium wine selection, 2 x Semillon, 2 x Chardonnay & 4 x Shiraz. Cameron looked after us, we couldn’t have had a better host, extremely knowledgeable, he really knows his wines, very personable with a touch of humour thrown in. This was probably one of the best tastings I’ve had in the Hunter. Don’t forget to visit Cocoa Nib downstairs, great selection of chocolate products and sweet treats, the truffles on display are ‘next level’. Emma makes the best hot chocolate anywhere… If you’re visiting the Hunter Valley, Keith Tulloch is a must to visit!!

Cameron made my first Hunter Valley wine-tasting experience absolutely unforgettable. He was so welcoming, knowledgeable, and you can genuinely see how much he cares about what he does. We learnt so much from him, and out of all the wineries we visited, this was the one that truly made our day! It’s a beautiful boutique winery with only 12 staff, all of whom have been there for many years and clearly love and take pride in their work — and it really shows. Thank you so much, Cameron. We had such a great time at Keith Tulloch Winery! Cameron was amazing with our boys, he kept them entertained with a dogs of winery book and a funny video, so we could do a tasting. The guy who did our wine tasting (didn’t catch his name) was super friendly and explained everything really well. Great wine and lovely people! Would highly recommend a visit to this cellar door. Bonus is Cocoa Nib is also at the same property.

Well after many years since we were last at Gundog Estate it was great to be back at this lovely little place in Pokolbin in the Hunter Valley. We decided to stay for a wine tasting here and would like to thank Debora for her wonderful hospitality and a great chat. I would definitely recommend going to this small but nice quaint little place for some nice wine. I recommend you buy a bottle of their Musket.

On Monday we visited Gundog Estate for the 2nd time and again had a wonderful experience. Particularly Jenny who was fantastic at looking after us. The wine from Gundog is fabulous - all of it. I can't praise it highly enough! The service is so personal - Matt, the chief winemaker, reads all emails and responds really quickly. We get great discounts because we buy regularly and the ethos of this place is so correct line - they are carbon neutral, they donate to an organisation that aims to prevent and reduce youth homelessness, there are testimonials from staff about what a good workplace it is.

We did a wonderful wine tasting here, ladies who ran it were warm, inviting and knowledgeable. Fantastic service! As a non wine drinker who was just along for the ride, I found the wines delicious and even ended up taking home a 6pack.

Great little cellar door with informative and fun hosts. Really nice wines including the Rare Game Shiraz and a beautiful rose. It was recommended to us by a wine expert back home. Gundog may not show up in your research, but highly recommend seeking them out. Bookings are essential right now as it is increasingly popular!

Had such a wonderful experience today at Thomas Wines. I forgot to ask for the lovely man’s name who served us but he was so nice, well informed and you could tell he has a passion for his work. We appreciated the attention to detail during the tastings - being given two similar styles of wines to taste at a time so we could compare, and fresh glasses for the reds was a lovely touch. The wines were absolutely delicious, by far the best that we have tried so far in the Hunter and exceptional value for the quality. We will definitely be back.

On Saturday 8th of November I had my first members tasting with my cousin and his girlfriend at Pokolbin. Our host James whom I met for the second time remembered me and signing me up for the membership. He also remembered I bought the 2013 wine. My girlfriend and I drank that bottle for our anniversary. This time I purchased six more bottles including a 2014 which James recommended. James really made the experience wonderful, entertaining and informative, a true star. Thank you James.

We stopped in to First Creek for the Cellar Door wine tasting. What a great experience, first creek wines have some delicious wines that I really recommend. Robyn was amazing who explained the wines and the history of First Creek and how the wines go from barrel to bottle. Highly recommend this experience and the wines! (Definitely the Malbec)

We visited First Creek Winery as part of a tour with Aerologistics and were lucky enough to be looked after by Jilly. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcome and at ease. Her knowledge of the wines was excellent, but it was the warmth and care in the way she presented them that made the experience truly memorable for us as a couple. The wines were beautiful, and Jilly’s friendly, genuine approach really made the tasting feel personal and special. She really was beyond amazing. We’ll happily recommend First Creek to friends and family, and we’re already looking forward to returning.

This was my second visit to the winery, and it was just as wonderful as the first—which is exactly why I brought my friends along this time. We enjoyed a tasting of both wines and condiments, and we were impressed by almost everything we tried. The Moorescato and Muscat Liqueur stood out as our favourites—absolutely delicious! The condiments tasting was also a highlight. Each of us received our own generous plate, which was a thoughtful touch and made the experience even more enjoyable. We were warmly greeted by Stella, the lovely red Kelpie, and it set the tone for a wonderful and welcoming morning. Special thanks to Summer, whose customer service was outstanding. What a wonderful winery. Deb was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and a beautiful soul. The wines were superb, I loved every one I tried, but especially their Moorescato. The only problem with this winery is we wanted all the wines and all the condiments, sauces and specialty lemonade! Oh, and a perfect setting.

Deb is a wonderful host. She made us feel very welcome and was very knowledgeable about the area and the wines. Stella the dog is a sweetheart also. Great little vineyard with some yummy homemade condiments to compliment their excellent wines. I strongly recommend that you put this small family owned vineyard on your hunter valley map!

Absolutely gorgeous vineyard and family. The chocolate and wine pairings were divine - highly recommend this tasting. Their condiments are also incredible and the spicy grape sauce in particular is a must-have. If you’re ever in the Hunter, this is a very worthwhile stop!

What a great place to start you wine tasting tour. The cold red wines can make your morning in a hot summery day. In addition, the brilliant combination of the wines and chocolates, was an exceptional experience for me; I cannot forget the taste of the aged muscat liqueur. What I saw and taste, just simply showed the owners’ and staffs’ commitment to produce the best quality product. I would love to come back again and again.

An amazing family-owned vineyard that offers some of the best wines of the Hunter region. Highlights include: Stella Sparkle, Press Room G.C.S, Moorescato and Black Sheep Shiraz. When I visited the winery, Summer was our guide for the tasting session. She was so professional and warming at the same time, clearly explaining the production of wines at the vineyard, the history of the vineyard without ever trying to push us to buy anything. Instead, leaving it up to us. We came as normal visitors but left as Moorebank wine club members and a case of twelve bottles. I just have one suggestion that I believe will be relevant in the current climate. It would be great if the winery can install a couple of EV chargers for guests to charge up their cars while visiting. As I understand, many EV manufacturers like Tesla and MG offer free chargers to businesses in order to attract customers. This would be a great initiative and would surely ensure the sustainability credentials of the vineyard. Thank you for a lovely experience. All the best

Great wine tasting experience for only AUS 10$, great value for what you get. Especially with the enthousiastic guidance of Mike, absolute legend! He explained all wines in detail and helped us taste the wines in different temperatures, which was really interesting. All the wines were real quality with some unique finds. If you are lucky you can spot some Kangaroo's and turtles in the vineyards!

The most beautiful, clean and friendliest winery. Drove up here twice and the vibes are unmatched! We got a tour of their wine making process and had a yummy wine tasting. The people here are so lovely and knowledgeable, and you might even spot a few roos chilling about.

The four of us visited Oakvale Wines this afternoon and were blown away by Mike, an outstanding sommelier who guided us through the entire tasting experience with knowledge, humour, and warmth. We’d done a half-day wine tour with a different company yesterday that was a little underwhelming, so we decided to stop by Oakvale on our way home — and we’re so glad we did! Mike’s expertise and witty jokes made the whole experience unforgettable. We tried so many delicious wines, learned a lot, and even took home a great selection. Another huge plus — the $10 tasting fee is donated to Meals on Wheels. What’s not to love? 10/10 — get yourself to Oakvale Wines, we live you Mike!

Great winery, said to be the oldest in the Hunter region. Didn't get to the wine tastings, but had one of the best meals and coffee at Darwin's expresso Cafe there. Great gourmet food at an affordable price. Excellent service and the owner and chef, Darwin , was super friendly and even gave us some cooking tips. Really enjoyed our time there.

We stayed at Mount View Estate’s newly renovated The Vineyard Villa last week, and were absolutely impressed! The villa combines modern style with a touch of luxury—two spacious bedrooms, automated curtains with stunning views, a large living area with a vintage fireplace, and a huge balcony with BBQ facilities perfect for gatherings. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need, and the bathrooms are beautifully designed with thoughtful details like candles and aromatherapy! Wine tasting was also a highlight—great wines paired with cheese, honeycomb, and dried grapes. We even ended up enjoying a home party with friends over hotpot and red wine, which made the stay unforgettable. A perfect escape to relax, enjoy nature, wine, and food. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be back with family and friends!

Mount View Estate is a fantastic winery in the Hunter Valley. Stunning views, fantastic wines, and really nice accommodation. It was a lovely place to stay for a weekend getaway, and the hospitality was amazing. Matt was super friendly and knowledgeable with our wine tasting experience. Leo made us feel so welcome and made our stay really pleasant. Took home a few bottles which we will be enjoying. Highly recommend checking them out, and we'll definitely be coming back again!

The night spent at Mount View Estate was an unforgettable one. The scenery here is extremely beautiful, and the sunset is very pretty. Enjoying the view of the Hunter Valley from the room is a treat. The wine here is also very good. I tasted six kinds, and my favorite was Fuchisa, which has rich bubbles. I highly recommend staying here and tasting wine. I will definitely bring my family and friends here again!

Wonderful experience at Mount View Estate with some of the most delicious wines in the region. The renovations are just beautiful and the service exceptional. Matt really looked after us and was very knowledgeable and committed. He even called to follow up that we’d received our wine. What a sensational day we had at the De Iuliius Truffle Soirée at Beltana Farm in Canberra hosted by the lovely Allanna and winemaker Emily. We were welcomed with a glass of bubbles and immediately made feel welcome. This was followed by an introduction before we met our Truffle Experts who shared a little about the Farm and how to find truffles. The truffle dogs were active and eager to please with many truffles being dug up. Lunch was a truffle inspired menu paired with exceptional De Iliius Wines. It was a speacial treat o have Emily there to give a history about each wine, its characteristics, where it was harvested from and when best to drink. Allanna was the perfect host, meeting all the guests and ensuring everyone had all they desired. I have been to other De Iliius events, but this was exceptional. Thank you, Allanna, for organising a special day and Emily, for sharing your immense passion of wines 😍

Great experience doing the Blending Bench Masterclass with Dylan. If you’re after something a bit different and would like to learn the whole winemaking process and make your own signature blend then this is the event for you. Fabulous service from the moment you approach the door.

I am a wine club member and booked a tasting and cheese plate for myself and five friends. We had a very enjoyable afternoon tasting several wonderful De Iuliis wines. Our host Mark was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Had a fabulous wine tasting at De Iuliis Wines this week. Mark made us feel extremely welcome. His knowledge of the different wines available made for a very enjoyable tasting (he makes a pretty decent cheese platter as well😀). We have liked their wines for a while now and have joined their wine club. We can definitely recommend De Iuliis wines, both whites and reds are outstanding.

We had a lovely time here for an impromptu tasting for two with our 3 young kids in tow. Gail was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. We needed a place to entertain the kids for at least an hour so we could enjoy our tasting and Gail made this happen. Large lawn where we could see the kids from the outside deck, sports balls, colouring books, Jenga and other kids games for keep the busy. Wines delicious and reasonably priced too. Highly recommended!

Property is nice, didnt find the tasting experience that relaxing the whole thing felt very rushed. I know most wineries charge for tastings now but I feel this has been embraced a little to much you end up not wanting to buy a bottle of two because you have already paid so much just for a tasting, the Barossa also charges no for tastings but you get a decent amount of wine

Greeted by the friendliest dog ever then was introduced to the most passionate wine expert who had so much knowledge. Highly recommended to do wine tasting as it opened my eyes to the best tasting wine and amazing host

We discovered Allendale Chardonnay in the Mornington Peninsula and decided we must visit Allendale Wines on our roadtrip to the GC. We were welcomed in for a tasting with our two pooches by Bridie and sampled some terrific Chardonnays…in fact they were the best we sampled in the HV…we signed up for the Wine Club…just a terrific experience and our pooches loved the experience…thank you thank you 🙏
