A place with the history of the Japanese invasion of Korea! Very beautiful park along the river and there is also a museum inside. Be sure to visit!
The fortress offers well-preserved walls, scenic views of the Nam River, and several historical landmarks. The grounds are well-maintained and make for a pleasant walk. There is an entrance fee, but it is reasonable given the site’s significance, plus it includes access to the Museum, which was quite good. Overall, it is a great place to explore history and enjoy the surroundings.
really nice. i walked around all afternoon :) there are two hamo cafes one close by and one about a 10 min walk down.
Avery beautiful medieval Korean castle. It's history is complicated you may read from the information plates. But it is definately a must see place. There are many monuments, shrines of important people, beautiful forestation, amazing views, a great museum and alot of space to chill, rest and take photos. I thing this is the best place to hang out in Jinju.
Must visit place. Nice park with good history. The ChokSukLoo is the famous place because of Korean geisha story who commit suicide holding Japanese invader general while they had party to conquer the city long time before.
Beautifully preserved and maintained landmark park. The place is huge and we had a wonderful walk amidst the late summer heat. There are a lot of trees that provided plenty of shade. There are old buildings from the 1500s that they were able to restore. The fortress is has the river on one side so the view from the pathways and gazebos there was beautiful. You can also see several memorials for the fallen heroes of the battle of Jinju. Stop by the museum to learn more. I would love to come back in October for the famous lantern festival.
Nice park, cool fortress but if you’re planning to come here, plan on being here for at least 2 hours. It’s big.
A beautiful place at day to roam. You would enjoy the walk and the green of its grass and trees. The national museum is a must. Great museography and spectacular items in display. Entering the fortress costs less than 2 euros per person so don't doubt it. The museum is free.

I spent over 2 hours inside this museum and I left with new learning (info) about Korea and its people. It gave me insight on Korea's history and the battle fought at Jinju and what's left with its fortress. The museum is well curated. It's amazing that they were able to preserve do many items (jars, weapons) from thousands of years ago as well as diaries and manuscripts, clothing, photos etc. They also have English translations and captions. Definitely a great place to learn more about Korean history.
An unexpectedly amazing museum located in the Jinju castle. Sleek and beautiful curation of Jinju-relevant artifacts.
National Jinju Museum is operated as a “specialized museum of the Imjin War,” focusing on the history and culture of the western Gyeongsangnam-do region and the Imjin War. It offers a variety of video content and edu-tainment programs related to the war, making it a truly beautiful and enjoyable place to visit.
Very nice museum that explain medieval Korean history well enough with visuals and real historical objects from the past. There are many exhibitions, lightning and organization of the museum is great. There are cafes, small resting areas and beautiful Athmosphere around the museum. The is no way smokers could find any place to smoke here. Sorry about it. There is also one souvenir shop here that you an buy the replicas of historical objects.
Really love this place, well managed and organized. The theme changes sometimes for guests can enjoy new dimension, especially it’s free of charge. Highly recommended this museum.
Museum is interesting. It tells about a 7-year-long Imjin war that started in 1592 as Japan invaded Korea. It is located right on the territory of the fortress. We liked the museum gift shop too.
Impressive in its museography. It's dynamic and you get to learn a lot thanks to its videos and explanations on the walls. Plenty of info in English.
Has a lot of English explanation as compared to other museums in Korea and I enjoyed the collection and effort put into this museum

Cozy place to visit. Only 1,000 KR(less than $1 USD) for admission so what could go wrong. Do not expect something like San Diego Zoo for sure.
This is nice place for children. This time, we know very dangerous situation. But here is so calm and peaceful place. A few people are here. But this zoo has many animals here. Children can enjoy animals without corona issue.
Medium sized public zoo. Parking space may not be enough on weekend but parking is available on shoulders, so it is not inconvenience. Cheap enterance fee, ₩1,000 for adult and free under 7.
Very small place. I suspect animals here are under proper care.
Small but well maintained local zoo. Admission is only 1000won, and free for kids below 6. They have a decent collection of animals including tigers, bears, and monkeys. We love here and visit every time we visit my parents in Jinju.
- The zoo is very well maintained and clean, typical of any Korean place. - Ideal for visiting with your family, children will like it. - White peacock and tiger was a surprise for me - There are also some spots which are less frequented. And the surroundings are so scenic and beautiful. What more to ask for if you want to meditate or silently introspect yourself.
Nice peaceful zoo with scenic views. Not many animals however basic ones are there. Feeding is possible, take some vegetables and fruits. Recommend to visit zoo during cherry blossom time to add more remarkable family pictures.
There weren't many animals as other zoos But is was good enough for familes to spend a day peacefully There were lots of pathways and baby animals that beloved by kids. Ps. Some seems to be need a vet. A seal and mini pigs were not in good condition and monkey houses were too small for them Almost every cages are too rusty and smells are not good compare to other zoo

Good song and show. It's even better to go there during Jinju festival. Because it's on every day.
I visited during the lantern festival. It was very pretty!

It was quiet fascinating. There was a jet of water that climed vey high in the sky i liked to see them doing that very often.
I've been to Jinju multiple times and it's never running
Beautiful displays to music and light at night
