Amazing massage! My masseuse really knew what she was doing and unlike many Thai massages I get, she felt around and worked on knots instead of going through the usual routine. Loved that they used oil on my back which isn't always normal and the massage was strong but not painful. One of the best I've had in 10 yrs. All the staff were lovely and welcoming too. Thank you
I had muscle pain. Getting up was only possible with great pain. I received very professional help here. It was better after the first treatment and after the second time the problem was solved. I can highly recommend this place. A bit hidden in a side street - but it's definitely worth it!
My husband and I just had an incredible foot massage. Clean, professional and our feet and legs feel brand new. Going back for a full body gentle massage. This is a great place!
Recommended for the real quality massages! Very professional and affordable place. The staffs understand assignment really well, my back pain is cured because of them! Also after massage you can enjoy some nice tea and snacks as complimentary from them. I usually go to Lonely beach for massage but then I moved to Kai bae and have tried couple shops and I have to say this place is my absolute favorite. Must visit!
Probably the best massages I have had during my trip in Thailand! Dedicated, professional and very kind people! Highly recommended if you want to get good quality massage. I have tried out quite a few different massages, once per day everyday during my visit and my fav was thai massage with hot compress, also foot reflexology and back/shoulders/neck massages were also really great.
Congratulations if you happen to choose this massage place. It’s the best in Thailand. Saying this after searching for a good massage in Thailand for years. There have been good ones but Kaew & Daew took it to the another level. First I had massage which was combined by Thai massage and physiotherapy to fix my lower back problem. Few days after that I had classical Thai massage which was absolutely great too. Done by younger man whose name was Chau (sorry if I remember or spell wrong). My wife had first Thai massage and on the second session relaxing oil massage. All good and highly professional work. Very much recommended place!
Best (and strongest) thai massage on Koh Chang I tried so far. They will murder you and give you a new life. Recommended.
We asked for a swedish massage, but they charged us for a coconut massage because they used coconut oil without telling us... A bit dishonest... And on top of that, the massage was very uninteresting !

Spacious room, good breakfast (plenty of kinda-lunch options too but fresh eggs, omelettes, sweet rolls and veggies were available) Good location and very friendly staff. The pool is impressive - 50m long, 1.4m deep. I booked Deluxe room with pool view.
Overall a nice experience, since we booked the beachfront rooms. They are very spacious, one of the largest regular hotel rooms we stayed in for a long while. Amazing view over the ocean. The rooms are clean and in relatively good condition. All the hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel does not have a beach, but that should be obvious from the pictures. Like other comments mentioned, the hotel is ageing a bit, a lot of items would need replacement or renovation. But that didn't bother us too much. What we didn't like at all was the breakfast. Cheap, little selection, poor quality. Definitely not on 4* standard. Mostly because of that, we wouldn't return to this hotel. Also, the drinks during the happy hour contained almost no alcohol and were more expensive than during regular hours. Ultimately the internet is unfortunately pretty unreliable and slow. DO NOT book the rooms in the second building across the street. They look like a boarding house and are not part of the main resort.
Hotel was perfect nice pool great breakfast room was very clean and spacious with big bed will stay there again. Just a couple of little things was that there was no beach sand you just walked down some steps straight into the water, also there was four kayaks that they charged 300bht an hour to use and nobody was using them, if you are paying 3000bht per night for a deluxe room they should be complimentary, also the car park was way over the other side of the road which you have to use the complimentary golf cart to get to or walk.
Good day, dear hotel Your approach to customers deserves a rating of 0*. I made a reservation three months in advance, but in the end I couldn't get there because THAILAND closed its land border with Cambodia! This information is not available anywhere in Europe. We only received the information five days before buying a bus ticket from Cambodia that the borders were closed and I couldn't get to Koh Chang from Koh Kong Island in Cambodia. As soon as I received this information, I contacted the accommodation agent TRIP.com, through whom I had even made a reservation on the island in Cambodia, and I was able to prove it. They contacted you twice about a free cancellation, and you refused both times. I even wrote to you twice, but you didn't even reply to that. I was very surprised by trip.com's approach, which sent me €50 in credits as a small compensation for the canceled accommodation. If I had known that the land borders were closed, would I have booked a hotel with you? Try to think about it a little. I understand that tourism in Thailand is declining, but it will continue to do so if you keep this up! Dear hotel, you have lost a customer for your next visit to Koh Chang, I hope it was worth the measly €150. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel to anyone. Thank you.
The Awa Koh Chang Hotel is in a brilliant location — central, convenient, and easy to get around. The room was bright, spacious, and very comfortable, with two separate beds that worked perfectly for families, great air conditioning, and loads of natural light coming through the windows. It was genuinely a lovely space to relax in. We used P. Joon Gym Koh Chang across the road several times — great spot, and only 200 Baht for a day pass. A big shout-out to the reception staff, who greeted us every day with warm smiles and made us feel really welcome. Breakfast was excellent — healthy, nutritious, and a great start to the day. The only small downside is that there’s no workout area on the hotel grounds. It would’ve been handy to have one, especially since it felt like half the hotel was training across the street! But honestly, aside from that, it was a fantastic family stay, and we’d happily return.
Very nice hotel. Great location, very spacious, magnificent pool, private beach, very friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately, the only drawback is that the rooms are very poorly soundproofed, and you can hear your neighbor walking heavily in the middle of the night or moving tables at 5 a.m. as if they were in your room. Unfortunately, we didn't sleep very well... we were probably just unlucky with the neighbors upstairs.
This is a lovely hotel for couples, very romantic. We had a room over looking the sea. This hotel has it's own man made beach with steps going into the sea. The staff were very nice and helpful. There's plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance. I would recommend either a motorbike or car hire to explore of areas. We found Kai Bae to be the best for nightlife. All the beaches we went to were lovely, long white sandy with clear water, within walking distance or a little drive. The island is very quiet this time of year although everything was still open. The food at the hotel was amazing and very reasonably priced. The Thai food was lovely and the beef burger was one of the best!
Awa Hotel on Koh Chang is the place that impressed me the most. This is because of its beachfront location, the spacious area for walking around, and most importantly, I love the pool design here—it captures the light from the sun and moon beautifully. The staff are also very polite.
