McKinney is an absolutely beautiful place to visit. The centre of the downtown is the historic McKinney performing arts center, which is surrounded by 19th century buildings which are very well preserved. These buildings currently house, restaurants, art, galleries, bars, clothing, shops, souvenir, shops, barbershops, and many other local businesses. Not a single franchise in sight!.The area is safe, clean and very comfortable. Definitely worth visiting. There is free 3 Hour St. parking from 8 AM to 5 PM daily so parking is not an issue.
McKinney’s Oktoberfest is a lively, family-friendly celebration in the heart of Historic Downtown. The cobblestone streets come alive with cheerful Bavarian music, hearty German food, and plenty of beer. From weenie dog races to stein-holding contests, there’s something for everyone. A fun mix of local charm and traditional Oktoberfest spirit—definitely worth a visit!
We took a girls trip to Downtown McKinney for the Bubbles and Brunch LoneStar Wine Walk. It’s such a charming downtown with friendly local businesses. It’s an excellent amount of art, apparel, and unique experiences with great food.
Downtown McKinney is a special place like a second home for me and my family so many memories so much history come and see why Downtown McKinney is a great place to be!
Pinkitzel McKinney is the best spot in downtown! The tea is refreshing, the candy is delicious, and the atmosphere is so fun. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in McKinney.
Downtown McKinney has so much character to it. Love that it has many unique and interesting shop. Love the free trolley ride as well!
Great evening of food and fun. Park at First Baptist Church, it’s free to park and they offer a free shuttle!
Such a cute, homey downtown area!! The small businesses and shops have unique trinkets, delicious coffee/treats, and great gifts. They do a lot of family friendly/neighborhood events in the square and I absolutely LOVE their winter decor. I call it the little Christmas town! It is worth a visit and it’s an enjoyable square that you’re sure to find something you like!

Had the best experience with our grandkids, they are three and five and it was a great day of much needed nature and adventure. They loved the bugs exhibit, we hiked 4 miles worth of beautiful trails and they played in the village of tiny houses. There were butterflies everywhere and beautiful wild flowers along the trails. We packed a picnic and had lunch by the pond. Clean restrooms, cute indoor exhibits, outdoor classes and little gift shop.
It was amazing! I had a great time! The trails are so beautiful, and the museum is very kid friendly. The butterfly exhibit was gorgeous. Its a pretty easy trail to take if you're just getting into hiking/walking trails. There's a bit of up and down, but its very clearly marked. The employees were all very kind and well educated. I do hope they get a little friend for the racoon, though!
Oh my gosh! What fun! It was a beautiful day, there was a cool breeze and lots of parents and their children looking at the magnificent Bugs Live displays throughout the beautiful nature center, the kiddos buzzing with excitement!! Some of the bugs, were automated and so fascinating... Keep in mind the butterfly exhibit will be open next week... Remember sunscreen and insect repellent... The exhibit will be on display until June 29th, 2025... You won't be disappointed!
Had a good time exploring the area today and it was free entry this weekend if we brought plastic bags! I wasn't expecting to see foxes and stuff so that was cool.
We went for Bug's Live. It was a decent size trail for the event specially with little kids. Not all the bugs moved or made noises but kids still loved it. Staff was very friendly. The museum itself was decent size. Not huge but so many great things to look at! Gift shop was nice as well. Kids had to leave with something lol not too expensive compared to other places. We loved it. We traveled 30 mins to get there and would do it again! Plus all the flowers were beautiful along the trail.
great park for kids to explore all kinds of fossils and native texas animals up close, I enjoyed the wood paved trails since no one was on it and it was extremely easy to walk. this is maybe a one and done type place
Adventure day for the week. Choose Heard Natural Science Museum and it was a great choice. Plenty of sights to see and places to explore. The kiddo and I had a blast with all the insect displays and indoor Museum. Will definitely be returning.
I really had a great time going with the family. We've been there before when they had the dinosaur exhibit, and it was just as fun walking through the trails and getting to see the sculptures and animatronics. The trails let's you connect with nature. Parking was a bit busy and a little small, but we were able to find a spot fairly quickly.

A nice spot centrally located in downtown for wine. There is ample indoor or outdoor seating available. Wines are available to taste, glass pour, or bottle. The bubbly we very nice this time. Service was okay but a little disorganized, likely due to other guests. Prices are reasonable. Will behaved family friendly. Parking may be tough at times. I'll be stopping by anytime I need some wine.
This is a charming and cozy place to enjoy a glass of wine and great conversation with friends. The wine selection is excellent, but the champagne truly stands out. It's phenomenal. The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which adds to the warm atmosphere. Whatever you do, don’t skip the Landon charcuterie board. I’m not sure how they do it, but it pairs perfectly with everything! Highly recommend for a relaxed and enjoyable outing
Rhonda is excellent! She donated a bottle of wine to the McKinney Leadership Class dinner. Thanks so much!
Bit of a different service, order at the bar, then find seating. Had to go to the bar for any orders after initial order. Food came out on a small tray, had to ask for a plate, flatware and napkins. For area and price point expected more than a paper plate and paper napkins. Grilled cheese was good.
I know McKinney is family friendly, but I went there this past weekend. Terrific wine, as always. Patio weather was great. Only problem is I want to enjoy my $20 glass of wine with no screaming children by my table. Children should not be in a wine bar. Get a sitter.
So sadly today must have been an “Off” day for customer service!! We walked in for a bottle of wine to enjoy outside with finally beautiful weather on patio. Barely greeted, asked for white wine suggestions… set menu In front of us and asked if we were, Members?? We are not, so the silent treatment continued with no help suggesting anything!!!! Asked kindly for patio and stemmed glasses, that was a “No” , however a tower of stemmed glasses were outside for tasting!! No smile No service! Wine was really good, so that helped!!!
Great Landon location - small patio in the front and a nice inside. I’ve been for a few events hosted and I’m a wine member there. They have great deals and kind servers
I'm torn rating this place because the food, wine and ambiance are wonderful. However, the establishment doesn't wait the tables. Given the high price point, this was surprising. I chose this location because I'm already familiar with the Denison location and it seemed like a good halfway point to meet friends. The Denison location waits their tables and buses the plates when the food is gone. Why the disparity?

Review not necessary, because it looks like everyone feels the same way. We had a flawless Wedding and Reception at Chestnut. Our coordinator Kim did such a fantastic Job with the details and directed the event superbly. The atmosphere was so comfortable. The Reception outside and in gave the gathering something special. The lighting and grounds made everyone feel they were at a special place. The Chapel and Brides house amazing, and the Grooms had a hangout as well. If you are looking for a wedding venue or another occasion this is your place!
I went to chestnut square to find information for my wedding unfortunately we couldn’t afford a wedding for personal reasons but then the beautiful lady who attended me who’s name is Sharla was so kind showing me around the house and suggested me a photo session so we could have at least a memory of our important date so she convinced us and we make it and I’m so happy that she did that because if it wasn’t for her we wouldn’t have such a beautiful nice memories of our day, thank you so much Sharla and Chestnut team you guys are amazing!! You attention is so sweet and kind it just make you feel at home, they really understand the whole thing about it 🥰💕😘😍❤️❤️ 10 of 10!
First time to visit and we signed up for an October ghost tour. We loved the way it was set up with the first 40 minutes listening to audio and one video and then understanding their process of debunking the caputures. The rest of the tour was spent visiting the inside of 3 homes...lights off in all 3 homes...with only the red mode of the tour guides flashlight to guide us and, of course, hearing about the background of the houses and paranormal activities that happened on some of the tours. I would love to see an event added with a 4 person limit plus the tour guide using paranormal equipment in one of the homes, during the late night hours of course. Would definitely be signing up for that tour!
Had a great time at the farmers market! We will definitely be back!
Excellent place to go on the weekend. Great vendors and food. Most take credit card so makes it easy to buy stuff. Lots of local vendors. Love the gluten free food, and the honey from here. Also some really good produce and fresh bread.
My daughter was married here. Beautiful small intimate setting
Chestnut Square is truly a gem in McKinney. I’ve had the pleasure of running sound for several events in the beautiful Bevel House, ranging from community networking and veteran appreciation events to murder mysteries and even a talk by a former FBI agent. Every time, the staff has been an absolute pleasure to work with. They are professional, helpful, and dedicated to creating great experiences. Beyond events, I’ve also enjoyed shopping at the Farmer’s Market on Saturdays, where I’ve connected with amazing local vendors. Chestnut Square is a shining example of community and history coming together.
Just went to a wedding nearby and we loved walking over here and taking photos. Such a beautiful place with lots of historic touches. Loved it!

I just moved to the area and found this dog park. What a wonderful dog park! My boy Tex loved it. All the dogs were well behaved and nice. No fights. There’s a big dog and little dog section, and a water pad. I think we have a new dog park, especially on weekends.
Great place! Separate little dog ans big areas with a joint "water park" in the middle. Always well kept amd supplied with waste bags. Trash is taken out regularly.
Loved this dog park. Brought my God Pup Leila Lei Lei and she loved it so much! Haha ♡ great times. My Twins loved it, also. There's even a doggie splash pad & i love how there's separation between big & small dogs areas, as well 🫶🏽 and doggie bags for picking up feces all over the park. Plenty of seating areas, it's mostly kept pretty clean & people usually pick up after their animals. Dog park is wonderful! Kids parks are amazing, as well. And, the two are very close to each other.
There is a park and a dog park. The turn to the dog park is to the left right when you come in. I drove passed it and ended up walking in the park. The park is very nice to walk. The actual dog park for small dogs is mostly under the trees. Gives lots of shade but no grass. There are benches to sit
Giving this park 2 stars because of the cleaniness of the site. Since it is mostly full of bark and wood chips , I'm not sure how easy it is to mantain but when we went, due to the hot weather, the smell of pee was very strong. In addition, it is hard to see if there is poop that owners didn't pick up as well (unfortunately I saw exactly this issue with other dogs at the park, which is why I share it). I can say that if the smell is not a problem to you, overall it is a quite big and nice park. The area for large dogs is the biggest one, which also has the fountains, so it is so cool and fun to see your doggo play with the water. For the small dogs, which is where we entered, I didn't like that 100% of the area was all bark and wood chips (again because of the cleaniness and smell), but the large dogs' park has an area with grass, so I think the smell is less there.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This dog park is a true gem! The facility is clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with both dogs and owners in mind. The splash pad is a standout feature—perfect for keeping pups cool during the brutal Texas heat. There's also a beautiful wooded area that offers plenty of shade and room to roam, making it feel more like a nature trail than your typical dog park. Everything is well-maintained, and the vibe is always friendly and relaxed. A fantastic place to let your dog run, play, and cool off. Highly recommend!
Discover an amazing park perfect for the whole family, including your canine companions, with its special dog park. Enjoy well-maintained playgrounds and beautiful water bodies surrounded by walking trails. These trails conveniently link up with McKinney's broader trail system, and you'll appreciate the ample parking.
Decent size dog park, my dog had fun. Could cut the tree branches blocking the light for the small dog park.

My wife and I visited Mitas Hill for the first time recently. It is only a couple miles from our home and we just found out about it. We first noticed as we drove up how beautiful the property is. As we entered the restaurant we were warmly greeted and seated promptly. The wine was great, the food was fantastic and the service was outstanding. Isaac was our server and he did a great job. We will be back!
I love to visit local Texas Wineries. The wines here were average, but the knowledge of them poor. We ordered bruschetta as an appetizer and 34 minutes later I we received 5 pieces of cold toast with tomatoes on them and a sprinkle of balsamic... something I could have made it home in under 5 minutes. The atmosphere was appealing, but that's about the only thing this place has going for it.
Pizza and salad were good. Can take a long while if they are busy. Tour was fun & informative. Been a several larger winery tours. Nice to see a perspective from a smaller vineyard.
Great sips, friendly server, and light and airy, if cold, atmosphere. They took way too long on coffee over and over though. A little pricey for food but great for wine.
Really great place. Met the owners, very nice people. Service for our group of 17 was impeccable, and that's not easy! The appetizers were very good, and the entrees were fantastic. We had the sea bass and 10 oz tenderloin, both cooked to perfection. The lobster risotto was yummy! If we could suggest any changes, it would be the following: We'd love it if something other than wine was offered at the bar. Yes, it's a winery and wine bar, but some of the guys were looking for a beer or cocktail. I believe it could be offered without detracting from the awesome wine pairings. Second, the dining room is a bit loud, especially when there is live music. The room is a bit too small for anything but soft music. Some fine dining establishments do not allow children under a certain age in their dining rooms on busy weekend evenings. I don't know if this is an option, but there were a few youngsters present who would've probably been much happier making a ruckus at home. And more than a few diners who would've agreed. But we do recommend Mitas Hill for the great food, nice people, and exceptional service.
Wife and I married May 2016. Wedding staff and wedding accommodations were fantastic. We had dinner, wine n beer for about 45 people. Dinner was chicken, potatoes, n asparagus, our guests were absolutely delighted with the meal. Service and wait staff again Fantastic! From arrival til departure we were extraordinarily happy with Mitas Hill and the staff.
We had family from out of town with us when we visited. The tour was informative and we really enjoyed it. Then we stayed and had wood fired pizza; which is probably the best pizza we've ever had in Texas. Everyone was so friendly and we really enjoyed ourselves. We definitely will be back! Thanks for a great day!!
It is clear that the family who owns this place has issues. We scheduled a tour weeks in advance and it was still late and we were treated as though it was an inconvenience to deal with us. The tour was atrocious! Harold, the owner, does nothing but complain about his family and the wine business. He did absolutely nothing to promote the purchase of their wine or food. Basically, they wanted us not to be there. The "tasting" started late and was done in front of an exit door with constant traffic. The daughter who presented was personable and quite pleasant but dressed inappropriately for the clientele. We also had young children sitting in on the tasting and on the tour. Not sure that is even legal at the tasting. This place has so much potential. The setting is beautiful and the wine they make is quite good. They do nothing to promote it. They seem to resent having to do tours so should simply stop--especially if Harold is going to continue as the guide. The family tension is palpable. The setting and building are gorgeous. Please sell it to someone who wants to run a business or hire people to manage the place.

We loved having our wedding there, however we wished the attendant would have made it so the public wouldn’t have interfered with pictures afterwards.
I kind of stumbled across the festivities looking for something else. I hopped out and was impressed it was a lot of vendors with various artworks, crafts, and exhibits there. I like how they shut down a zone so you can walk to the displays or even brick and mortal stores. It's a good place to go it you're looking to support local & small businesses
This is my wife and I first time coming here. We came to watch Deliver Us From Mama. The play was good. The reason why for 4 stars is because of the uncomfortable seats.
McKinney performing arts centre is a theater located in downtown McKinney Square hosting plays and other performances, some featuring local actors. The entire area is a well preserved historic time capsule with most of the buildings being from the 19th century and currently used as local businesses such as barbershops, clothing, shops, souvenir, shops, restaurants, bars, and fashion boutiques. Excellent place to visit. I highly recommend.
Great events take place here. Safe place to take a walk around the block with benches to seat under the shade of nice trees and who knows, you might even get lucky enough to listen to a free song or two by my buddies, Zach and the Anarchist. 🤠 Also, there are very clean restrooms on the lower floor of the East side of the building which are equipped with diaper changing stations.
A great place to host meetings if needed!
Solid gem tucked inside historic downtown vibes. The building alone speaks volumes brick, bold, and built with presence. Once you walk in, it’s like stepping into a time capsule with class. What Hit: • Great acoustics and clean setup • Staff was professional and welcoming • Seats were comfortable and views were solid from almost every angle • Loved the intimate vibe felt like every performance was speaking directly to you What Missed: • Could use some modern upgrades with lighting and seating layout • Parking situation ain’t the best if there’s a big event • No real snack options or vibe extensions inside just straight to the show Final Word: If you appreciate smaller venues with heart, this is a must-visit. Classy spot to support the arts, especially local talent. Not over-the-top, but it carries soul.
This building has been around for many decades. Once the court and city building serving the public in the 1940's. Today it has been transformed into a public performing arts center that sits right in the middle of our beautifully remodeled and revamped downtown,it's architecture is still impressive and every turn uncovers wonderful moments in history teaching us how McKinney was born and had survived all these years

Lone Star Winery is quaint and perfectly situated in the McKinney Square. The venue has plenty of seating indoors, outdoors and unique spaces for larger parties. My favorite is sipping wine while enjoying live music even on a Saturday afternoon. So, after you’ve completed shopping at all the boutique stores in the square end the evening at this cute spot! Let’s see if they incentivize me to return for a full review of their wine selections! 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷
A nice place to stop in for wine and appetizers. Mildly upscale with indoor and outdoor seating. Family friendly with a diverse selection of local and guest wines. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Prices were upscale. Parking can be tough. Another stop for wine if you're downtown.
When we moved to Mckinney a few months ago, we found this place and joined their wine club. It’s been the perfect way to make friends as so many of the guests are regulars. The staff is welcoming and warm and will make suggestions for their ranch wines based on what you normally drink. They have a nice selection of wines and a delicious winearita, a wonderful frozen concoction that is my go-to to beat the Texas heat. Their light bites are great when you want a little something. There’s also live music frequently. Whether you want a night out listening to music or would just like to meet some new friends, Lone Star won’t disappoint.
Great atmosphere! Loved the wine flight! You’re sure to find your new favorite wine 🍷
Love Lone Star Winery! Diann and Elizabeth are wonderful! The great customer service and vibe stem from the owners, Ron and Deanna Ross and their daughter Becky and her husband Jon Dunphy. Amazing wines and great family atmosphere! You have to check them out in the downtown McKinney Square.
I have never visited downtown McKinney before visiting Lone Star Wine. The place is cozy and a part of a collection of different shops. They have a pretty good selection of wines that includes Texas wines as well as California wines. Our server was awesome. We ordered the garlic parmesan and Aunt Karen's Bordelaise Wings. Both were delicious. We also got the margarita flatbread and I thought that was good as well. Definitely a good place to visit if you are in the mood for wine.
A great place to spend an evening or afternoon downtown! I enjoyed one of the wine tastings and the artichoke dip. The atmosphere is relaxed and makes you want to stay all day.

Ever since our visit to TUPPS Brewery a few years back, we became fans. This was our first time here at its new location, very impressive establishment. Different seating areas to eat and drink, indoor and/or outdoor. We had lunch inside while watching football games on TVs then moved outside to try more beers on a perfect weather day. Food was on point, drinks always good. Service prompt. Highly recommend.
We had an absolutely wonderful time at this brewery located just a stone’s throw from McKinney’s historic downtown. We visited during one of their special Saturday live events, and it truly exceeded all our expectations! The atmosphere was incredibly family-friendly, with countless activities set up for kids of all ages — from little ones to teens. It felt like there was something around every corner to keep everyone entertained. The event offered a fantastic mix of outdoor and indoor spaces, including a beautiful concert hall and cozy indoor dining areas. We especially loved the country fair vibe and the live concert — both were lively, fun, and completely FREE, including all the activities! Honestly, the experience was so enjoyable that we would have gladly made a donation to support such a fantastic event. It’s clear that a lot of heart and planning goes into these events. We left with huge smiles and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly, highly recommend for families, friends, or anyone looking for a fun, welcoming place to relax and enjoy great entertainment!
Great place to grab a beer on a warm day or a cold night. Ambiance was pretty cool, music was good, and the brewery tenders were top notch. Shout-out to Jack for providing great service and going above and beyond describing, recommending, and serving the amazing craft beer!
My first time here was for an toy donation event. I was amazed at how cool this place is! First off, it's great if you need to host an event. Lots of space for any type. Indoors and outdoors. Plenty of parking. Second, there's so much cool stuff to look at! And finally 10 out of 10 stars for their fries! Did French fry angels make them? Just best ever!!! Must get!
TUPPS Brewery in McKinney is a great spot with a unique, rustic vibe, it’s set in an old cotton mill that gives it a cool, historic feel. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, with plenty of space to hang out, enjoy live music, and play games. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a laid-back weekday afternoon with friends—great brews, friendly folks, and a relaxed atmosphere that captures the spirit of the community. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!
i have never met nicer people than i have here. Eric is a beautiful person and his wife completed the tour vibe. highly highly recommend taking a tour and patronizing this brewery
I really enjoy going to TUPPS. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Shoutout to Bri and Brian they are awesome. So far my favorite beer has to be Farmhouse and juice pack. I love how this place has constant events going on, not to mention the great space they have to host them. I also want to give a shoutout to chef Ben. Food has been great. I love the pretzel , chicken sandwich and pork belly. I have Also had a grain salad there that’s pretty good. The vibe has been awesome every time I’ve gone there , you just want to chill and hangout.

My new happy place! This local park feels like a getaway. It's got a little of everything you could want. Plus it's gorgeous. It's got lots of trails that are either well maintained and paved or you can go off road to the dirt trails. You can picnic under a gazebo or they have lots of benches. You can rent a kayak, lounge on a hammock, play volleyball, or read a book on a bench with a great view of the lake with beautiful geese, or play volleyball. They have 2 separate playgrounds for the kiddos that are awesome. Lots of parking spaces in several lots. They also have public restrooms. You just have to go!🥰🥰🥰
Towne Lake Park in McKinney is such a nice spot for a peaceful morning walk. Even though there is currently some construction going on and at times you can catch a bit of a sewer smell, I still really enjoyed my time there. The park has so much potential and once the construction is finished it will be an even better place for walking, bike riding, dog walks, and enjoying the outdoors. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!
Great park with great space to entertain. Very spacious with picnic areas and some spaces for the barbeque enthusiasts. I don't know if swimming is allowed, however, you can kayak, you can maybe use pedal boats, and walk around the lake...feed the ducks, bike the trail, roller blades, or skateboard. Volleyball or badminton. The overall scene is great.
Nice park for jogging , picnic and family activities with kids
We had another great walk around the lake. But today was special! At around 7.30 am today just the sun was rising above the background, a hot air balloonist brought his balloon right dow on the last and skimmed away before rising again going high into the sky! What a sight it was to watch him aim past the treeline and then lower himself almost to the water’s tip before flying back high We could not have asked for a more glorious start to the day! And then to be able to find tortoises, heats , ducks and goose along with their young one start their daily runs for food into the lake just made this all the more memorable!
Beautiful and greenery park.. It have nature trail as well. If you are interested on kayak you can take it for rental it's just $3 for 30 min. Instructions are posted on the place. Best place for weekend picnic with family and children's. Children's will enjoy the joy of playing in children's park and you can enjoy the trail, biking etc etc. Enjoy your day, Have a good time 👍
great park, lots of shade and biking/walking trails. the Halloween decorations were amazing! sorry, they are already gone.
I really enjoy walking at this park. The trail also connects to other trails within the Mckinney park system.

A great mountain bike park and jumps for all ages. A great place to camp, hike, or even just to come and think. I love the long hike through the park. I will be camping here one day
This is a wonderful trail with plenty of elevation changes and beautiful tree cover. I even spotted an armadillo on my last visit. It’s never too crowded, making it a great option if you’re in the McKinney area and looking for something close by. The trail is always well maintained, though it can stay muddy for up to a week after rain. Unfortunately, new construction and development in the middle of the trail have taken away some of the peacefulness that Erwin once had. On the bright side, there are some great spots to set up a hammock and relax!
Great trail. Temperatures were very good on the weekend we were here. Most of the trail has trees, so its not that hot in the trail when it gsts hot outside. Bikers come in opposite direction, had to stop multiple times in between to make way for them.
We went to this park to plan a group event. For early spring, we were not impressed with the closed restroom, stinky pond and negative vibrations. Absolutely do Not recommend this park to AfroAmericans or Black Folk. Many in the park, even for a Monday morning, exhibited racist tendency. Home schoolers walked past us close enough to touch us as if they didn't see us. Twice people brought hunting dogs into our space as if intimidating to release them on us. As we stood at the roadside talking, people in vehicles stopped to allow their dogs hang out the windows at us. An employee with the McKinney Parks and Rec arrived and seemed to be watching us as we prepared to leave. Leaving in multiple cars, we noticed residents living along the park road back to the city standing at their roadside mailboxes watching as we drove away. And lastly, as we returned back to the city street, a McKinney patrol car was stationed in the street on the opposite side... as if watching us leave the area. This is Not just my account, but that of the person I met at the park that day. Highly recommend AfroAmericans and Black Folk find something better, safer and more friendly than this park.
I was there to mountain bike and the biking is surprisingly good. It’s got a few sections with skilled options but the entire trail can be ridden as a green. I would definitely go back. There’s also a bike washing station
Erwin park has lots of nice family improvements for fun and safety. We love walking daily and seeing the new future improvement signs. Thank you McKinney for a wonderful community park With camping bicycling hiking photography opportunities. Highly recommended
We had a great camping experience at Erwin Park. The trails are awesome and you totally forget how close you are to McKinney.
Great park with nice riding trails and camp grounds. Feel like your out of city without being out of the city

Weekend tours with tastings are offered at this local brewery known for its Bavarian-style beers.
Slide 1 of 8
Franconia stands out among the DFW breweries because it is a German style brewery. It's great if you want to try something new. Their Radler Peach and Dunkel beer options were very good. This brewery slso doesn't get as much foot traffic as other breweries, so it's great if you want to ease back into the brewery scene.
Went a few times when it was owned by previous German owners. Went again this year when new owner held an Easter egg hunt free event. It was disastrous. They obviously underestimated the crowd. Not only it was worrisome to watch those kids and concerned parents bumping into each other fighting for eggs, it's also sad to see kids crying out loud with no eggs found. The event though drew a lot of beer business, kids couldn't/wouldn't have come without adults right? Smart! Anyways, we had beers as usual, good selections just not cold enough. We did drink more after the dramatic experience.
Finally made my way to Franconia and well worth wait — started with a flight and got a couple of pints after… great service, friendly owner and awesome selection of beers… looking forward when they open a taproom in downtown McKinney. 5 stars in my book
Was in the area on a Sunday and looked for local breweries. Found this place, but was sad to see it only is open 2 days a week, and not on Sunday. Google and their website do not agree on what days they are open, so apparently the owners don’t check in often. No wonder the latest review was months ago. I always prefer the smaller local breweries, too bad this one doesn’t really care about having business. Also, after reading another review, I’d probably not be too keen on having my beer served in a plastic cup.
Went there for their 14th anniversary celebration. Fun place to visit and tour the brewery. Several beers on tap and a few in cans. I recommend you try their beers wherever you find them and come on out to visit their taproom
Classic American beer. Bitterness, sour... absolutely not European style. Only what similar is Baltic Porter, but you need love this flavor
This is hands down the best beer and best tour and mckinney. I've done it like 5 times so far and for those of you thinking Tupps is the only place to go in mckinney, you're definitely missing out!
This is a nice local brewery, they have a lot of different options including some specialty beers that are quite unique. They also have a peach and pineapple flavored/infused beer that is light and easy to drink. They have a cool little hang out area with tables and chairs, I was here for a small event and it seemed to work well. When you're driving up you're going to be driving through a lot of warehouses but just keep going, you'll see it at the end of the road.

Place was great, and vendors sold everything at fair prices, I actually picked up most of my NASCAR diecasts from this market!
Nice flea market with booths selling everything from fountains to knives, toys and housewares. Check out JOE on Henderson street booth to get a customized fountain. You can also get nachos. Funnel cakes, Smokey brisket, baked potatos and chicken Nice for family and kids. Nice deals especially with the recession and inflation.
There is an incredible sports cards, Lego and Pokemon spot inside the first Air conditioned white building. They have everything!
A mini version of canton. There are lots of actual crafters at this trade days though. I've included all the ones that I visited in the photos attached.
Awesome Place! Good People!! Great Food!!! It’s Funday here at Third Monday Trade Days in McKinney T E X A S !!!
I remember going to Third Monday a couple of years ago and it was a little sad to be honest. I thought for sure it was dead. Lately though it’s really seemed to grow a TON! My husband and I try to make it a point to take our dog there every month now and we see more and more vendors every time we go. I look for plants and crystals and my husband loves looking through the super eclectic hodgepodges of random things. There’s also yard decor, jewelry, antiques, knives, baby stuff, clothing, crochet goodies, 3d prints, and so much more. ATMs if you don’t have cash and food places too! We love our Sunday morning trips!
Vendor Review: I was a vendor here for this month and the previous one. The first time around was super slow, but killed time by talking to other vendors and made a few sales. This month was very different! I was treated poorly by David the market manager, as he was rude when I called him about another vendor taking my spot, when there were PLENTY of other spaces and was told that I would be in the same spot. The other vendors were clearly degrading me and my business the whole time I was there. Nonetheless it was valuable experience to learn that not everyone is going to support you no matter how hard you try. So just a side note to others, keep doing what aligns with your soul and values. No one can take away the love you have for yourself.
This place is absolutely disgusting with how they’re treating the animals. Majority of the dogs are in the sun sharing ONE water bowl. Some of the water bowls are just dirty water or a dog is laying in it to try and cool off. More than half of the cage is in the sunlight so they’re huddled up hiding in the corner. They’re panting and look like they’re dying. I have videos of them panting I’d upload those on this if I could. There are way too many dogs in one cage. These “breeders” are not looking out for the dogs best interest. If they were they would be in a cool place with enough space. Seems like they just want to make a fast dollar. My fiance and I walked into one of the sheds with puppies being held and WE WERE OVERHEATING. There is absolutely zero chance the animals should be held there. There are some fans but they are blowing hot air around. Definitely not nice fans to keep the animals cool. This is unacceptable and made us sick to our stomachs. I’d leave zero stars if I could.

Planning a wedding is stressful enough, so to make a long story short, the staff was incredibly kind and gave the best overview of their role and were flexible enough to make additional accommodations if the need should arise. The place was already beautifully set up (simple yet charming) by the time we arrived to set up our own décor. Fortunate for me, I was the one hauling things in and out. The decorations part was for those more talented. During and after the ceremony and reception, the whole staff had a presence but blended in with the crowd. If anyone is looking to book the event center for anything, you will be in for a treat. Unfortunately, I don't know what pricing looks like because I was just the friend with a pickup and some time on my hands.
Great musical group and fun outdoor venue. Picnic, music, nature, good people what more do you want.
A great place to host a big craft fair!
Horses Honoring Heroes hosted a BEAUTIFUL ceremony for Memorial Day. Thank you to the hosts and the park for such a moving event! It was good to be back at Myers Park. I showed livestock there for my entire childhood. 🌻 Good memories, great times.
I feel that there should have been barriers between the Pedestrians and the school buses and the cars, it was risky and people were walking out in front of moving vehicles of all sizes. The Police could only do so much.
Went for Diwali festival. It rained but the event was okay. Lots of vendors and stage programs along with several indian foods. Event was in a park in a countryside and its a different experience.
Attended Moto Xtreme circus at Myers Park and Event center, it was an amazing experience. The event center is quite big with ample parking space. The event center has space separately for cattle shows, space for event like circus and even for wedding. And the place also has a public restroom.
Attended the Vintage Market Days event. Great vendors, food trucks & music. Facilities were well kept and parking was well managed.

Beautiful cemetery. Lovely and peaceful. Nowhere to really park but definitely worth a visit
This is a nice old cemetery in town. I have many relatives buried out here. Many I never had the chance to meet. There are many trees and even though it is in a busy area, it was peaceful while we were there.
This is just ridiculous... Guess I'm better off bringing my own lawn care stuff. How can a cemetery be so disrespectful.
My husband and I used to love this cemetery because it has so much history and was so beautifully kept up. We even bought plots there. Sadly it has fallen into a state of disrepair a new level of disrespect to all that are laid to rest there. I am really hoping that we can get our money back so that when our time comes our children won't be embarrassed.
This cemetery could use some much needed TLC. Its such a beautiful place to visit. The best time is the fall season. I'm not sure what can be done but if a fundraising is in order then maybe the city of McKinney needs to find a way to fix up the broken headstones or find ways to preserve the history of this cemetery. The grounds could use a better maintenance schedule as the weeds can get up past knee high. There is never anyone here as far as employee's etc... However during the pandemic its been an amazing place to walk and feel free from the crazy world of COVID. I taught my kid to drive here, we respect the site and pick up trash and such when we visit. Best place to take a photo, look for spooky things in the night and to learn about the area's history. I often see a women walking her dogs here and they sure seem to enjoy it more than the humans since its starting to look all to forgotten.
This used to be a favorite place for me and my grandkids to walk, quiet, safe, and serene. But the management has become very unwelcoming of visitors and after we were told we were not welcome anymore we have now changed our review to reflect that the cemetery no longer welcomes people interested in local history to visit. They have erected signs to the effect that only grave holders and grievers are now allowed. I am very disappointed and upset that a public historic site would discourage visitors and turn away people interested in local history.
The cemetery used to be kept up with. I visited today and seen more areas that looked worse than ever. It is such a shame that the owners do not care or respect the historical and moral values of the cemetery. Sad to see this place fall apart. I've been coming here over 27 years and never been so disappointed.
Beautiful and historical cemetery.

We came as a small group for a guided tour after our postcard meet up today in Mckinney. The staff were super passionate about the history of the area and had vast knowledge of the residents and businesses who made such a big impact through the decades. We even got a private viewing of vintage postcards sent to the city's early inhabitants. A fun and informative time ! Thank you for your dedication to preserving local history.
Cute little museum. I wouldn’t expect to spend more than 20 min here. They do have a tablet that will give you a tour around the museum
Collin County Museum was incredible! They included Cherokee Elder Elvis Nelson's personal historical collection so other Cherokees could research their family history and Tribal culture.
Perfect place for a party! We rented the museum for our wedding reception 30+ people! Kristin was absolutely amazing, above and beyond. She was a God send for us, she had ideas that worked and special touches that made us smile. We walked in after our wedding and we could not have been more pleased, she worked seamlessly with the catering (Hutchins BBQ. ) The space gave our guest lots to talk about. We unconditionally recommend the Museum!
Great place to wonder around. Former post office. Well maintained and above all very friendly staff, explaining and highlighting the collection For sure a place to visit. It’s even free of entrance fee!
Amazing museum of county history! I loved the information on Benji- it was my favorite part. There's a sculpture of Benji a short walk from the museum. Our guided tour was amazing!
This is a small cute museum. There’s some interesting facts for the area. There’s interactive iPads that gives you additional information about the exhibits.
I wish they had better options for handicapped visitors, but they did an excellent job helping us tour.
