History Museums
Chestnut Square Historic Village is a preserved village located in the McKinney TX area that consists of houses dating back from 1854 to 1930, a general store and offers events and tours. This historic museum allows visitors to step back in time as they explore the attraction which holds many historic buildings. Visitors can take advantage of various activities including docent tours, farmers market on Saturdays, trolley rides, holiday tour of homes or even hold their wedding or special event here.
Review not necessary, because it looks like everyone feels the same way. We had a flawless Wedding and Reception at Chestnut. Our coordinator Kim did such a fantastic Job with the details and directed the event superbly. The atmosphere was so comfortable. The Reception outside and in gave the gathering something special. The lighting and grounds made everyone feel they were at a special place. The Chapel and Brides house amazing, and the Grooms had a hangout as well. If you are looking for a wedding venue or another occasion this is your place!

I went to chestnut square to find information for my wedding unfortunately we couldn’t afford a wedding for personal reasons but then the beautiful lady who attended me who’s name is Sharla was so kind showing me around the house and suggested me a photo session so we could have at least a memory of our important date so she convinced us and we make it and I’m so happy that she did that because if it wasn’t for her we wouldn’t have such a beautiful nice memories of our day, thank you so much Sharla and Chestnut team you guys are amazing!! You attention is so sweet and kind it just make you feel at home, they really understand the whole thing about it 🥰💕😘😍❤️❤️ 10 of 10!

First time to visit and we signed up for an October ghost tour. We loved the way it was set up with the first 40 minutes listening to audio and one video and then understanding their process of debunking the caputures. The rest of the tour was spent visiting the inside of 3 homes...lights off in all 3 homes...with only the red mode of the tour guides flashlight to guide us and, of course, hearing about the background of the houses and paranormal activities that happened on some of the tours. I would love to see an event added with a 4 person limit plus the tour guide using paranormal equipment in one of the homes, during the late night hours of course. Would definitely be signing up for that tour!

Excellent place to go on the weekend. Great vendors and food. Most take credit card so makes it easy to buy stuff. Lots of local vendors. Love the gluten free food, and the honey from here. Also some really good produce and fresh bread.

Chestnut Square is truly a gem in McKinney. I’ve had the pleasure of running sound for several events in the beautiful Bevel House, ranging from community networking and veteran appreciation events to murder mysteries and even a talk by a former FBI agent. Every time, the staff has been an absolute pleasure to work with. They are professional, helpful, and dedicated to creating great experiences. Beyond events, I’ve also enjoyed shopping at the Farmer’s Market on Saturdays, where I’ve connected with amazing local vendors. Chestnut Square is a shining example of community and history coming together.

The Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary is a venue that offers exhibits featuring animatronic dinosaurs and an 1880s prairie village, as well as nature trails and gardens. Visitors can enjoy interactive activities or explore the different trails offered in the sanctuary. The museum also boasts a collection of live animals such as lemurs and raccoons, making it an ideal destination for families with kids who are interested in wildlife.
Had the best experience with our grandkids, they are three and five and it was a great day of much needed nature and adventure. They loved the bugs exhibit, we hiked 4 miles worth of beautiful trails and they played in the village of tiny houses. There were butterflies everywhere and beautiful wild flowers along the trails. We packed a picnic and had lunch by the pond. Clean restrooms, cute indoor exhibits, outdoor classes and little gift shop.
Sheri L — Google review
It was amazing! I had a great time! The trails are so beautiful, and the museum is very kid friendly. The butterfly exhibit was gorgeous. Its a pretty easy trail to take if you're just getting into hiking/walking trails. There's a bit of up and down, but its very clearly marked. The employees were all very kind and well educated. I do hope they get a little friend for the racoon, though!
Stephanie L — Google review
Oh my gosh! What fun! It was a beautiful day, there was a cool breeze and lots of parents and their children looking at the magnificent Bugs Live displays throughout the beautiful nature center, the kiddos buzzing with excitement!! Some of the bugs, were automated and so fascinating... Keep in mind the butterfly exhibit will be open next week... Remember sunscreen and insect repellent... The exhibit will be on display until June 29th, 2025... You won't be disappointed!
MissBec — Google review
This place is very cool! Grandson loved the Bug exhibits and can't wait to see the Dinosaur also. The setup inside is done extremely well to educate in a fun manner for kids and adults. The staff are very helpful and informative. The outside trails could be a bit more groomed just so there isn't any confusion.
Sherri L — Google review
We went for Bug's Live. It was a decent size trail for the event specially with little kids. Not all the bugs moved or made noises but kids still loved it. Staff was very friendly. The museum itself was decent size. Not huge but so many great things to look at! Gift shop was nice as well. Kids had to leave with something lol not too expensive compared to other places. We loved it. We traveled 30 mins to get there and would do it again! Plus all the flowers were beautiful along the trail.
Mrs R — Google review
It has everything for all age groups. If you want to bring kids, they can play in play area. There's a small zoo. A very long quiet trail for walk. A beautiful outdoor classroom and lake overview. We have just covered half of the park but loved it. It's not a one day adventure. Membership is a great way to explore it.
Naila N — Google review
Adventure day for the week. Choose Heard Natural Science Museum and it was a great choice. Plenty of sights to see and places to explore. The kiddo and I had a blast with all the insect displays and indoor Museum. Will definitely be returning.
Vincent G — Google review
We had a great time there, especially the boys. The dinosaurs were neat but not exactly what we expected. There was certainly room for more features and a lot of improvement. The museum and the animals were fun too. Although most of them are seen by us on a regular basis because we live out in the country. The museum had a lot of nice exhibits but the facilities are in need of an update. The path the dinosaurs were on was a nice concrete walkway, but the whole place just looked like it wasn't really taken care of. The garden at the entrance was overgrown, and what looked like it was supposed to be a water feature was dry. It was clean but ungroomed. It looked like they had added plants pretty recently, but instead of disposing of the containers, they were just piled in a corner. I feel like most people will enjoy at least one visit if you are able. In my opinion it costs a lot more than it should. There are so many great free nature parks, and Halloween and Christmas decorations around that make the dinosaurs look insignificant. 5 or 10 dollars might be a more reasonable price. Or if you live nearby, the season pass may be an option. Please don't let me discourage you from going it was a really neat place there is just lots of room for improvement and you know the costs before you go.

Not a single franchise in sight!.The area is safe, clean and very comfortable. Definitely worth visiting. There is free 3 Hour St. parking from 8 AM to 5 PM daily so parking is not an issue.

McKinney’s Oktoberfest is a lively, family-friendly celebration in the heart of Historic Downtown. The cobblestone streets come alive with cheerful Bavarian music, hearty German food, and plenty of beer. From weenie dog races to stein-holding contests, there’s something for everyone. A fun mix of local charm and traditional Oktoberfest spirit—definitely worth a visit!

Such a cute, homey downtown area!! The small businesses and shops have unique trinkets, delicious coffee/treats, and great gifts. They do a lot of family friendly/neighborhood events in the square and I absolutely LOVE their winter decor. I call it the little Christmas town! The Collin County History Museum, situated near the central square in a post office building dating back to 1911, showcases artifacts, photographs, diaries, and archival newspapers that provide insight into the history of Collin County. The museum's current exhibit titled 'Mckinney Then and Now' depicts how Mckinney has progressed from its original settlement in 1849 to becoming a commercial and cultural hub today.
We came as a small group for a guided tour after our postcard meet up today in Mckinney. The staff were super passionate about the history of the area and had vast knowledge of the residents and businesses who made such a big impact through the decades. We even got a private viewing of vintage postcards sent to the city's early inhabitants. A fun and informative time ! Thank you for your dedication to preserving local history.

Cute little museum. I wouldn’t expect to spend more than 20 min here. They do have a tablet that will give you a tour around the museum

Perfect place for a party! We rented the museum for our wedding reception 30+ people! Kristin was absolutely amazing, above and beyond. She was a God send for us, she had ideas that worked and special touches that made us smile. We walked in after our wedding and we could not have been more pleased, she worked seamlessly with the catering (Hutchins BBQ. ) The space gave our guest lots to talk about. We unconditionally recommend the Museum!

Erwin Park in McKinney is a renowned outdoor recreation facility, offering picturesque meadows, towering trees, and various trails for hiking and biking. The park spans over several acres with diverse terrains and jumps along the trail, making it popular among cyclists. Additionally, visitors can enjoy activities such as camping, fishing, and picnicking at the pavilions and playgrounds scattered across its 212 acres.
A great mountain bike park and jumps for all ages. A great place to camp, hike, or even just to come and think. I love the long hike through the park. I will be camping here one day
Briana S — Google review
This is a wonderful trail with plenty of elevation changes and beautiful tree cover. I even spotted an armadillo on my last visit. It’s never too crowded, making it a great option if you’re in the McKinney area and looking for something close by. The trail is always well maintained, though it can stay muddy for up to a week after rain. Unfortunately, new construction and development in the middle of the trail have taken away some of the peacefulness that Erwin once had. On the bright side, there are some great spots to set up a hammock and relax!
Simran M — Google review
Great trail. Temperatures were very good on the weekend we were here. Most of the trail has trees, so its not that hot in the trail when it gsts hot outside. Bikers come in opposite direction, had to stop multiple times in between to make way for them.
Chaitanya R — Google review
We went to this park to plan a group event. For early spring, we were not impressed with the closed restroom, stinky pond and negative vibrations. Absolutely do Not recommend this park to AfroAmericans or Black Folk. Many in the park, even for a Monday morning, exhibited racist tendency. Home schoolers walked past us close enough to touch us as if they didn't see us. Twice people brought hunting dogs into our space as if intimidating to release them on us. As we stood at the roadside talking, people in vehicles stopped to allow their dogs hang out the windows at us. An employee with the McKinney Parks and Rec arrived and seemed to be watching us as we prepared to leave. Leaving in multiple cars, we noticed residents living along the park road back to the city standing at their roadside mailboxes watching as we drove away. And lastly, as we returned back to the city street, a McKinney patrol car was stationed in the street on the opposite side... as if watching us leave the area. This is Not just my account, but that of the person I met at the park that day. Highly recommend AfroAmericans and Black Folk find something better, safer and more friendly than this park.
Dea P — Google review
I was there to mountain bike and the biking is surprisingly good. It’s got a few sections with skilled options but the entire trail can be ridden as a green. I would definitely go back. There’s also a bike washing station

We loved having our wedding there, however we wished the attendant would have made it so the public wouldn’t have interfered with pictures afterwards.

I kind of stumbled across the festivities looking for something else. I hopped out and was impressed it was a lot of vendors with various artworks, crafts, and exhibits there. I like how they shut down a zone so you can walk to the displays or even brick and mortal stores. It's a good place to go it you're looking to support local & small businesses

This is my wife and I first time coming here. We came to watch Deliver Us From Mama. The play was good. The reason why for 4 stars is because of the uncomfortable seats.

McKinney performing arts centre is a theater located in downtown McKinney Square hosting plays and other performances, some featuring local actors. The entire area is a well preserved historic time capsule with most of the buildings being from the 19th century and currently used as local businesses such as barbershops, clothing, shops, souvenir, shops, restaurants, bars, and fashion boutiques. Excellent place to visit. I highly recommend.
Bobby S — Google review
Great events take place here. Safe place to take a walk around the block with benches to seat under the shade of nice trees and who knows, you might even get lucky enough to listen to a free song or two by my buddies, Zach and the Anarchist. 🤠 Also, there are very clean restrooms on the lower floor of the East side of the building which are equipped with diaper changing stations.
Roberto C — Google review
A great place to host meetings if needed!
Josh F — Google review
Solid gem tucked inside historic downtown vibes. The building alone speaks volumes brick, bold, and built with presence. Once you walk in, it’s like stepping into a time capsule with class. What Hit: • Great acoustics and clean setup • Staff was professional and welcoming • Seats were comfortable and views were solid from almost every angle • Loved the intimate vibe felt like every performance was speaking directly to you What Missed: • Could use some modern upgrades with lighting and seating layout • Parking situation ain’t the best if there’s a big event • No real snack options or vibe extensions inside just straight to the show Final Word: If you appreciate smaller venues with heart, this is a must-visit. Classy spot to support the arts, especially local talent. Not over-the-top, but it carries soul.
Louie T — Google review
This building has been around for many decades. Once the court and city building serving the public in the 1940's. Today it has been transformed into a public performing arts center that sits right in the middle of our beautifully remodeled and revamped downtown,it's architecture is still impressive and every turn uncovers wonderful moments in history teaching us how McKinney was born and had survived all these years

Bonnie Wenk Park is a solid spot for getting outdoors in McKinney. The walking trails are well-kept, and the creek views are peaceful. I appreciated the dog park section — it’s spacious and has separate areas for large and small dogs. Overall, it’s a decent park with good potential, but could use some improvements to really shine.

ARCADE 92 is a super fun place to play all generations of video games... GOOD: •From pinball to arcade games to large HD flat screens and reclining leather gaming chairs.... They have Atari, Nintendo, Sega, Playstation, and PC's too! •This is REALLY cool for kids AND adults of all ages. •There are some tables & a small bar with really good custom drink selections. •You can order snacks, sandwiches, salad, & pizza. BAD: •they are often out of one or some of the ingredients needed for their specialty drinks. •there were several games out of order the last time we went.

Had a couple drinks, but didn't eat the food because we happened to show up during Octoberfest! Which was awesome also. But the food I did see looked delicious! Will have to try it next time!

This is a stand out comedy theater. Not only do they have there own brilliant improv comedy shows they pull in great acts from stand-up to sketch! You're getting a wonderful variety of acts throughout the year. The owners of this fine venue runs a tight ship. It's a well-oiled machine. The theatre is very clean. Super friendly staff. Food and drinks are available! Love this place. Highly recommended for a great all around experience.

This is a well-run club with great shows and the best classes. I go venues at least 2-3x per week as an audience member, performer, and occasional show producer, and The Comedy Arena is my top recommendation. The shows are fun! Management and staff are top notch. The food is good quality bar fare. Drinks are reasonably priced. It’s a friendly environment, and downtown McKinney is cute & vibrant with easy parking. Highly recommend!

Von, Jared, and the whole crew do an exceptional job at bringing entertainment into your life. I’m glad it’s only blocks away from where I live and work. Anytime I go to this place, it is always something new and fantastic to truly enjoy. What a great gem in McKinney.

Family-friendly magician, but everything else was a rip-off. Tickets $20 each with no child pricing—even for a three-year-old. I missed the online discount and only got one at the lower rate, the rest cost more at the door. The guy taking the money was rude. Concessions were outrageous: $3 bottled water (no cups), $7 pretzel bites, $3 extra for Tostitos cheese. Show was fine, but pricing and service were the worst part.
Jen R — Google review
It's a small venue. Bar and tables downstairs with stage on 2nd floor. The comedy was good and up close given the size of the room. The on-tap seltzers were tasty and the burger resembled a quarter pounder but in a good way. They were quite proud of their waffle fries.

To say the Comedy Arena was great is an understatement. We came in for the Improv Horror Show and it was an absolute blast. The actors, the atmosphere and the food were all very well balanced and not very expensive. I would definitely recommend going.

This was my friend's & I first time here to see a comdey show but not just any show a magic comedy show with Mark Clearview. The atmosphere was great & inviting and the highlight was our server Ms. SUN. She had the best personality, super nice & great customer service. Checking on our table throughout the night & became family like a long lost cousin...LOL. If u visit this venue request ur server to be Ms SUN.

Great place for fun and laughs. The downstairs is a cafe and bar. 30 minutes before the show they start letting people go upstairs to the comedy room. Each person is required to purchase a minimum of 2 items from the menu. I had bottled water but only drank half because I was laughing so hard at the comedians and was worried i'd spit it out. I also had the sopapilla ice cream that was delicious. My husband had a beer and funnel cake fries. The show was 90 minutes with the manager doing the opening act, then a local North Texas who was hilarious, then the main act . After the show the comedians were downstairs in the cafe available for autographs, souvenirs, and some chit chat. I'd recommend this place for anyone who needs a good laugh.

Located in historic downtown McKinney, Cadillac Pizza Pub is a charming brick-walled establishment known for its wood-fired gourmet pizzas and extensive beer and cocktail menus. With 12 different pizza styles on the menu, including build-your-own options, patrons can savor robust flavors from the wood oven. The pub exudes a neighborhood bar ambiance and hosts live music five nights a week, making it an ideal spot to enjoy delicious food while listening to great tunes.
AWESOME PIZZA GOOD VIBE My wife and I dropped by for lunch a Saturday in Jun during the Texas Music Revolution festival. The place was crowded - as expected - but we immediately got a table outside, which we preferred. The inside is real cool - had a nice decor and vibe to it. The staff was quickly to seat us - and then quite slow to start the service. That gave us a chance to relax in the good weather and look at the menu. But could have been a bit faster. The menu offers some nice pizza choices - and it offers nice selection of different beverages. We decided to share a pizza, and have a Bloody Mary and a mimosa. The pizza got served fairly fast and tasted delicious. We loved the thin crust and the toppings all tasted good. Overall a very good experience.

We had a truly exceptional dining experience at this restaurant, largely due to its fantastic location. The beautiful weather allowed us to enjoy our meal outside. Our drinks were outstanding and our appetizer, hummus with pita bread, was equally impressive. Let me add our salad was rewarding. While the pizza was a bit salty for my taste, my friends enjoyed it with a side of ranch dressing. Our waitress provided great service, keeping our drinks refilled throughout the meal. Overall, it was a great night out and we can't wait to return to this wonderful location.
Virgie — Google review
Pizza is great. Even the gluten-free free crust is pretty good. The service wasn't great though. Our waitress talked to us 4 times (drink order, food order, pizza drop off, bill) and it took 40 min after we ordered to get our two pizzas. I appreciate not feeling rushed but when you are hungry and the waitress isn't checking in, you start to wonder what is taking so long. The pizza and the drink are worth going back for occasionally.
Loren K — Google review
What a lovely local pizza spot and pub! We felt right at home with crowded fun filled family atmosphere inside! Amelia attended to us with a genuine smile and attention and I could see every of the Caddy staff was just as good when interacting the patrons! The beers we ordered were chilled and refreshing, the appetizer was very tasty, while half n half pizza (Classic Caddy & Bee's Kness) was perfectly wood fired with a thin crust and amazingly fresh ingredients. We are going to be regulars here!
Chetan S — Google review
The food was amazing! I am gluten free, and they surprisingly had gluten free pizza! It was so delicious and good! All of my friends food was amazing and everything was a fair price, but the service wasn’t great whatsoever. It wasn’t busy, we sat down and didn’t get our drinks for about ten minutes, it took about another 10-15 minutes for our server to come back and take our order, we ordered and our food came out quickly but our server didn’t ask if we needed anything, refill our drinks or anything until we were already done. The food was great but the service wasn’t at all.
B C — Google review
The thin crust pizza was delicious 10+, molten chocolate cake was good as well. Good service, fun atmosphere with live music, outdoor and indoor seating. My only complaint is the wait time, I reserved online through Yelp where my estimated wait time was 20-30 minutes, I ended up waiting 1hr 20min. It seemed like they weren’t paying attention to online reservations and will attend to customers who come up to the podium faster.

Came on a Friday for our family day out. We came in time for the weekly lunch special and it was a great deal. The stuff was amazing and sweet. The food was delicious and we were treated for our birthdays. Definitely a good place to come for a family lunch or day out.
Hannah C — Google review
Certainly make this place a regular in our rotation! You will not regret a single menu item. The goat cheese stuffed mushrooms are a must! The queso is creamy and spicy and served with Fritos which adds the perfect salty bite! The pizza, regardless of what topping and sauce, will be your favorite combo. We ordered the Chicken Bacon Boom Boom, Boss Hog, and Jalapeño Popper - all equally delicious!

What a fantastic Irish pub to visit when in Texas! The atmosphere and most friendly staff I have come across with the most amazing food and huge selection of drinks to choose from especially the Guinness and Jameson whiskey! Had the best craic playing doubles on the pool table, Texan people are genuinely so friendly! Well done Nick and team keep up the good work we will be back!🇮🇪☘️ Thomas & Tricia

On my bucket list for a while. Good: Fish was crisp, decent portion size, firm white meat with great quality. Bad: I had to put on a ridiculous amount of salt to have any flavor. Fries were dripping with grease. Hopefully will try again with better results.

Very cool pub vibe in this old downtown McKinney building. Great spot to hang out and have a few pints with friends or to meet new friends. The wife and I were there for lunch on Sat during the Texas Music Revolution. Downstairs was not open yet so we went upstairs which was okay. For lunch the wife had the Chicken Fajita Wrap ($15.99) and I had the burger ($15.99). The burger was nothing special. The meat was a thin patty with not much flavor. The wife said she like the Chicken Fajita wrap but commented that the chicken was fried not your normal fajita type grilled chicken. But she said it was good. All in all I would not hesitate to go there again for food and drinks but don't expect the food to be anything better than standard bar food. Oh and they have some good craft beer at $6.50 and domestic at $6. The service was good and again the atmosphere was excellent. Our two lunch plates with my two craft beers (boulevard wheat) and the wife's one corona was $55.19 before tip, $70.19 with tip. Give the boulevard wheat beer a try. It was good!

Cool place. It's an older building but it works for a pub. Live music upstairs along with a full bar and bathrooms. (Feel sorry for those employees that have to go up and down all night) food is good and bartenders were as attentive as they could be on a packed Saturday night. If you plan on going for the live music, I suggest getting there no later that 7pm in order to fine a seat. Great selection of beers and liquor.

Visited on a weekday, and the vibe here is great. I ordered directly at the bar, opened a tab, and the service was excellent. Enjoyed the lively atmosphere. They even have pool tables to play, which adds to the experience. Overall, it’s a great place to hang out—good service, good vibe.
Shashank P — Google review
The service and ambiance are decent—nothing exceptional but perfectly fine. However, the food itself is pretty average and didn’t stand out. That said, the beer selection looked impressive, so next time, I might stop by just to enjoy a drink.

This place is fantastic, from the food to the drinks to the service. We've here last night with my wife and has the chorizo bites and scotch with curry which we delicious and the sticky toffee pudding was amazing though I think it could be taken to another level with a scoop of ice cream. The staff was super friendly and attentive as well. Definitely worth multiple visits.

The Heard-Craig Center for the Arts is a historic mansion in Mckinney, TX, that is home to an art collection and antiques. The center offers events that are open to the public, event space for private functions, and tours of the estate. Visitors can enjoy lectures and afternoon teas while exploring the beautifully restored home that resembles a jewel box inside. One of their recent exhibitions was called 'Treasure Box,' which showcased stunning pieces from their collection.
This was my first time attending an event with the DFW costumers guild, but my third time attending an event at the Heard-Craig center. I actually hadn't been in years since my son was smaller and there was a homeschool outdoor event. This was a treat as I am a history buff and love visiting antiquated homes! This event was a costume black and white tea and the Heard-Craig center did not disappoint! Everything was absolutely lovely on the inside and out. Afterwards we played croquet on the grassy knoll outside of the house, and the grounds were meticulously gorgeous! This is a great venue with very sweet and attentive staff. I'm even considering it for a future wedding venue. 💛

We went today for the first time and it was amazing. Aiden made my granddaughters experience on the climbing wall awesome! He made her feel special when she climbed up to the top the first time. He was patient and showed her how to do everything. We will be back because of him.
Brian L — Google review
The place is cool, but the last time we went they either gave my order (large pizzas) to another family or forgot to make it. Either way we waited over an hour, when I went to check they said it would be 10 minutes, went back to check after the 10 minutes and it still wasn't made. The kids were starving that this point so I just asked for a refund so we could leave. At first the manager didn't want to give me a refund and kept sending the poor employee forward and back to check my bank statements. I'm like dude, you have no right to my bank statements, your system clearly shows I made this order, and the cameras clearly showed that I did not receive it. I was very upset. Finally got my refund and left. Idk if we will be back. The kids like it but I was very upset with the service at this location.

It's an entertaining place where the kids love it ...their buffalo wings are not bad, pizza could be better but the kids like it....over priced food, but it's an experience

We visited for the first time yesterday and my kids really enjoyed it! Ivone (not sure if this is how you spell her name) who was working the front desk was so friendly and helpful in getting us checked in and taken care of! She went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time! My kids went wild for about 4 hours (and still didn't want to leave) The place was clean and all the employees we encountered were nice! My only complaint is they were out of a lot of the snacks (churros, cotton candy, pretzels) and it was only about 3PM when we went to buy snacks. Overall, we had a good experience. We'll come back! 😊
Ericka F — Google review
Absolutely so impressed with the team on the floor and the kindness of all the staff. Took my 11yo son Henry, I was quite nervous as he had autism and several other disabilities. I was BLOWN away by how caring and supportive they were of him and all the kids that were running around. The staff member Aidan was especially helpful, what an extraordinary young man he is. He helped Henry to learn how to safely play on the “battle beam”, was so kind and respectful. When another young child tripped and fell, Aidan immediately gathered him into his arms, sat down on the bench and helped to console him. We look forward to coming back, clearly this location has great management and training in place.

Love this place! Sometimes it can get a little bit hectic and crazy with lots of kids but management is amazing making sure that everything is good. In addition to the Fairview location, there are several other branches across the country. The theaters provide comfortable seating with glowing plates indicating row numbers and table markings for seat numbers. While the theater may be a bit echoey, it offers a great overall experience with top-notch servers and delicious food options.
This theater is an upscale experience. It's located on the second floor, you can take stairs, an escalator, or an elevator to get there. There's a bar, pool tables, a chess game, and a huge lounge area in the lobby. Theater seats are super comfy recliners. The IPIX blankets are super soft, too. There's a pocket to tuck in your purse, and cupholders pop out from the side of the seats. The food is always good. Today, we had sweet tea and delicious appetizers: hot pretzels and Brussels sprouts. It's a great movie-watching experience.

I've visited many times, but it's been almost a year since my last visit. It's a fancy movie theater. They have a bar and plenty of sitting. It's one big lounge area. There are pool tables and in the back a nice chess set up. The lounge seats are very comfortable. On this particular visit, the escalator was down for repairs. They do have an elevator or the stairway. The only thing that kind of rubbed me the wrong way was their ticket agent. She just wasn't friendly. In the theater itself, you'll find semi private seating pods. They also provide blankets. The waitress assured me that they dry clean the blankets. Speaking of waitresses, shout out to Sara. She was very friendly and very personable. I feel like she really likes her job, and it shows. Great service, too. We ordered various drinks and food items. Everything came out correctly, and the food items were very good. The place was very clean. The theater seats were very comfortable. If you're looking for a date night location, give this place a try for sure.

IPIC Theaters gave me the full luxury movie vibe comfortable seating, solid sound, and service that makes the night feel special. Food and drinks hit the table quick, and the overall experience felt upscale but still relaxed. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is a few small details could’ve been sharper. Overall, a 4-star spot a go-to when you want more than just a movie, you want the experience.

We had a great experience watching Superman! We were pleasantly surprised that the cost is comparable with other theatre’s - but you get such a higher quality experience! The new seats are fantastic and I can’t forget to mention the blankets because I didn’t have to lug my own! We absolutely loved the comfort and privacy. Our waiter Oliver though… he was outstanding and stole the show! He seemed to really enjoy his job! He was refreshingly friendly and cheerful, arrived quickly when we requested service and we never waited long for our food and drinks to arrive. Excellent job Oliver, you contributed to our amazing experience!

This was a nice spot for date night. It was not too crowded in the afternoon. Seating was really cool. We were able to lay back and we had a blanket to keep us warm since it was cold inside. The norma jeane was very good, sweet. We ordered a small popcorn with extra butter and mozzarella sticks. I would love to come back for date night at night.

The theater is stunning. The service is impeccable. Bar looks nice and I had a gift card and treat it to myself and you don’t feel awkward. I was greeted by someone named Lahni who is fabulous. She made it so easy for me and my server was Ben who was there before you had to really ask. The only thing I didn’t love was the tuna on rice, but I’m not want to send things back, but the truffle popcorn is delicious and the other food looked great. I’d highly recommend it!

Nice movie theater with pool tables and a bar. Comfortable reclining seats that come with a blanket, service was good however I thought they checked in too often in the beginning of the movie.
Monica — Google review
I really enjoy going to the movies, but my recent experience at this theater wasn’t the best. The screen brightness felt too dim, and the volume was lower than I’m used to at other theaters. The exit sign next to my seat was also very bright and distracting, especially compared to the opposite side. On top of that, the theater wasn’t as cool as usual, which made the room feel a little uncomfortable. I hope these things can be adjusted, since the overall atmosphere makes such a big difference in the movie experience.

Even though there is currently some construction going on and at times you can catch a bit of a sewer smell, I still really enjoyed my time there. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!

Volleyball or badminton. The overall scene is great.

We had another great walk around the lake. But today was special! At around 7.30 am today just the sun was rising above the background, a hot air balloonist brought his balloon right dow on the last and skimmed away before rising again going high into the sky! What a sight it was to watch him aim past the treeline and then lower himself almost to the water’s tip before flying back high We could not have asked for a more glorious start to the day! And then to be able to find tortoises, heats , ducks and goose along with their young one start their daily runs for food into the lake just made this all the more memorable!

My sister and I came here as part of a vacation. We enjoy escape rooms in our hometown and like to see how other escape rooms function and their themes. We enjoyed ourselves here doing the principal's office. The room was challenging and had us guessing at what to do next. Though we did not finish/escape the room, the young lady was kind and offering us help and hints. She let us take a picture with the "we escaped" sign even though we did not. The only thing thing that was an issue on several of the rooms, (probably due to abuse over time) the objects or puzzles did not work and the game masters had to pause the clock and come open the objects or doors or whatever the item was. Submerged is the hardest room I have come across, it’s one you definitely need a few more people to join you on! Aunt Carol’s Closet was our favorite!

This place is awesome! My family has gone twice and we have gotten on the leader board both times (ROCK LOBSTERZ)!! The rooms are not too easy but if you work together and think out loud you can figure them out. Big shout out to Kyra because she is so nice and hyped us up when we won. Would recommend!!

I loved this place so much! We did the Principal’s office! Amber was really helpful! The escape room was very fun! Will definitely come back later.

Absolutely Awesome! We really love NTX Escape Rooms - so much so that we only have 1 more to go (Submerged) before we get our free t-shirts! We've had amazing game masters - Katelyn, Jenna and Trey - and have loved how they all know how to provide exactly the right level of help to make this fun and challenging. We love doing these together as a family! I would highly recommend this for families, friends or corporate team building events - loads of fun, and it really requires you to work together if you want to get out in time. Great job to the folks at NTX Escape Rooms - you guys are setting the bar high for other area escape rooms!

Live music bar
Elysium - Live Music Bar is a remarkable destination that combines the best of dining and entertainment. Recently, I had the pleasure of indulging in their lunch buffet, which was nothing short of spectacular! The goat biriyani was a standout with its perfect blend of spices, while the jalapeno chicken offered an explosion of flavors that left me craving more.
Great place to hangout with friends and Family, They keep hosting fusion bands, singers and DJ's. The service is good and the food is good too. Drinks are on the higher side but lacking a punch. The vegetarian food options are also great here and flavored. The sound systems for DJ is great. Little space crunched. Neatly maintained restrooms, They charge for the cover which is ok when i visited. Mostly 10$ on the weekends. The table sizes are small. The bar counter is big. Ambience is great and lively.
Shyam G — Google review
One of the best places to hang out with friends. The ambiance and atmosphere are excellent — perfect for a relaxing evening. However, the food was quite disappointing. It seems like there isn’t a professional chef preparing the dishes. The menu is already quite limited, but unfortunately, the taste doesn’t meet expectations. We ordered almost every item on the menu, and many of the appetizers tasted like they were made using frozen Walmart-style chicken nuggets — lacking in both quality and flavor. Some dishes were completely bland and uninspired. Great place for music and vibe, but the food definitely needs serious improvement.
Praveen K — Google review
Absolutely loved it here! The vibe was next level with Vandemataram Srinivas son’s band and the DJ keeping the energy alive all night. 🎶🔥 I danced from start to finish and didn’t want the night to end. Amazing music, great atmosphere – a night to remember! 💃✨ The vibe was electric, the atmosphere was full of joy, and it was one of those experiences you carry with you for a long time. If you love live music fused with DJ energy, this is the place to be. Can’t wait to go back again!

Definitely Not For Me! Visited this spot for the first time on a Friday night, well past midnight. We paid $16 per person for entry (which apparently goes up to $25 on other days). Once inside, the entire place was a mess. I get that it’s a live music bar and crowds are expected, but every table was filthy. There were dirty plates, hookah pots, half-empty glasses, used napkins, and water bottles just left there. Same thing on the floor. No staff seemed to be cleaning up, and there wasn’t a single clean table to sit at, so we ended up standing at the bar. We ordered a few drinks, my usual is Jameson on the rocks. It was about $14-15 for a 30ml pour, which is wild considering the whole bottle retails for around $30. Vodka was similarly overpriced. A regular beer was $10, and even a tiny Fiji water bottle was $3. I’ve been to plenty of clubs and bars before, but this felt way overpriced for the kind of experience offered. Just being honest, it wasn’t for me, and I wouldn’t recommend it or return.
Ramana C — Google review
The vibe was good. Food and drinks are very average. We went on a Saturday night. Live band was not that great. DJ is good.
Chandana K — Google review
Great place, but the DJ totally ruined the vibe this time I’ve been to Elysium a few times now and honestly it’s one of my favorite spots in Dallas. The place itself is great like the food and drinks are amazing and the atmosphere is lively. The live music band last night was absolutely awesome. The staff deserves a special mention because they’re super friendly, attentive and make sure everyone’s having a good time. Big shoutout to them for doing such a great job every time I visit. However, the only disappointing part was the DJ who played after the live band on Saturday October 19th. He completely killed the mood. The songs he played were random, low-energy and honestly some of the worst I’ve ever heard at a club. People were clearly not enjoying it and when I politely tried to suggest better tracks he was rude and dismissive. That was really disrespectful and unexpected for a place like Elysium. Please bring back the good DJs and live music energy that make this place awesome because apart from that one DJ everything else was perfect!
Sai T — Google review
I've been to this place for lunch buffet and it was decent. I believe food was from Chowrasta restaurant. Limited items but they were tasty. Chicken Biryani was really good, didn't expect this.

If you’re looking for the true vibe of India while enjoying live music, Elizium is hands down the best place to be! 🎶 The atmosphere instantly transports you back to India with its soulful performances and vibrant energy. The food is delicious and complements the experience perfectly, while the shots are fantastic and definitely worth trying. 🍹 If you want to immerse yourself in Indian music and culture in a lively setting, I’d highly recommend Elizium Live Music Bar. It’s a complete experience of music, food, and vibes you won’t forget!

This place is an absolute gem! My friends and I had the most incredible time at Painting with a Twist in McKinney. From the moment we walked in, the energy was fantastic. The studio is so clean, bright, and perfectly set up for a fun night out. Our instructor, Eboni was an absolute star – she was not only incredibly talented but also so patient, encouraging, and hilarious. She broke down the painting step-by-step, making it easy for even the most artistically challenged among us to create a masterpiece we were genuinely proud of. The music was great, the atmosphere was lively, and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. We laughed, we painted, and we left with not just a beautiful piece of art, but also amazing memories. Whether you're looking for a date night, a girls' night out, or a solo creative adventure, this is the place to be. We're already planning our next visit! Five stars isn't enough!

Ebony (S Hardin location) was AMAZING during our time spent with her for my birthday gathering! She’s talented, down-to-Earth, and giving of self. The studio was a nice size to accommodate our party. We all enjoyed the evening!!! I would make 1 suggestion regarding the seating/stools…they get a little uncomfortable while painting.

This was such a fun experience! My group booked as a team-building event, and we were allowed to BYOB, and BYO-snacks. Cody, "The Dude", was our guide and he elevated the experience to excellent! Even the less artistic people in our group felt supported, and we all left with not only a beautiful painting of our pets, but huge smiles and memories we will cherish.

Posting from my husband’s account however I have gone to 2 1.5 hour classes with The Dude and let me just tell you I’ve had such a blast both times. Highly recommend Painting with a twist and I highly recommend this instructor. He’s so fun, has such great energy and side commentary and he’s just a wonderful artist with alot to teach. Very passionate and helpful. I will definitely return to this studio. What a fun way to hang out with friends and it’s honestly so reasonably priced.

Our group had a great time at this event. The owner was very engaging and encouraging to everyone from the beginner to the ones that come often. She gave great tips and advice to those of us that wanted to paint our canvas a little different from the chosen option. I will definitely do this again. 🙂

Cody ("The Dude") was a delight. Kept energy high, banter and joking all the way through, and quizzed some responding participants on mutual love of pop culture. Even left those who weren't as chatty alone, so a delight for introverts as well! Also helped me make a lovely candle on our break :) 10/10 would do his classes again. Still like him better than Jack Black

The facilitator of the class (McKinney location) was great! He kept us engaged and was very knowledgeable. The small class made it more personable. My daughter and I enjoyed it.

I am so impressed with our birthday party experience. We came in with 8 kiddos, most of our party is on the autism spectrum it ADHD. This was a new experience for all and I can say, hands down, that our instructor created a space where everyone could exist they way the need too. They were creative and encouraged, our instructor adapted to the needs of everyone and they all had such a great experience. A safe, adaptable and creative environment for neurospicy individuals is worth more than money could buy. I’m so pleased.

Play Street Museum McKinney is a captivating children's museum designed for toddlers and kids up to 8 years old. The museum features interactive exhibits that replicate a real farm, complete with a barn, farmhouse, feed and seed store, and even a life-sized cow to milk. Each exhibit offers an immersive, hands-on learning experience for both young guests and adults.
The entire staff here was amazing! They did a great job with my daughter’s 1st birthday party. The cost for the amount of kids you can bring is very reasonable. They handled everything with serving the food and cutting the cake, making sure the party ran smoothly and on time. I was able to enjoy myself and interact with my guests with absolutely no concerns. I cannot recommend them enough.

Had my daughter’s birthday here over the weekend. It was better than I expected it to be. The kids had so much to do and play with, they all had a blast including us adults. It’s a really clean, and super cool place for kids and adults to play. The staff is great, they were really nice and helpful with our party and guests. Great place for a kids birthday party.

We recently celebrated our son’s 3rd birthday at Play Street Museum McKinney, and it could not have been a better experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff was so kind, attentive, and genuinely excited to help us celebrate. They made everything feel seamless and stress-free, which is such a gift when hosting a toddler birthday party. The decorations and setup were absolutely adorable—the space was decorated beautifully, and every detail felt thoughtful and intentional! The museum itself was clean, safe, and the perfect size for little ones to explore without feeling overwhelming. Our son and all of his friends had the best time playing and pretending. As parents, we loved how easy the entire process was. The staff took care of so much behind the scenes, which allowed us to truly enjoy the party and focus on making memories with our son. Our guests were so impressed and kept commenting on how fun and unique the space was. We are so thankful to the Play Street team for helping us create such a special day. If you’re looking for a place to host a party or even just a fun outing for your kids, we can’t recommend Play Street Museum McKinney enough!

I had my daughter’s 3rd birthday party at PSM McKinney today. She had the best time! There were two lovely hostess, Ashley and Aubrey. They were both so helpful and professional. They helped me put up all decorations and take them down. I felt like I didn’t really lift a finger. Anything I started to take care of they took over. The most relaxing birthday party I’ve ever thrown. All my little guest had a blast and we are so thankful we picked this location to have a birthday party! Thank you PSM McKinney!

The young man there was AMAZINGLY gracious and helpful!!! I got there 20 minutes early because I'm a goober. We had my 6 year old autistic grandson and may 4 year old granddaughter; they had already walked into the play area when I realized the time was wrong. It would have been a nightmare with a real meltdown to get them to wait outside for awhile. In fact, we likely would have had to leave and go back to Oklahoma. The young man told me to let them keep playing, but he would be cleaning up a bit around us. I said that was great and I started helping him clean up a bit. HE REALLY SAVED THE DAY!!! The kids had a wonderful time. Henry was so happy and engaged the whole time! Nina loved it too.

Had my daughter’s 1st birthday here. She loved every bit of it. Was able to play and get into everything. Very friendly staff and great snack options!

This was my daughter's first birthday party with friends. She turned 4! We chose option 3 with the little dreamer theme. Added a fruit tray. And then added the making slime activities. My daughter is incredibly shy and anxious so we were not sure how well this would go. All our expectations were exceeded! It truly was a sit back and let PSM handle it all. They had it down to timing and my daughter cried at the end because she had so much fun and didnt want to leave. Normally she is ready to go home within minutes but PSM made this experience amazing for her and her friends. Thank you PSM!!

This was the best party experience ever! We didn’t have to worry about a thing—Cheerland’s staff took care of everything for us. All we had to do was bring the cake and enjoy a wonderful time with everyone. I received so much positive feedback from the parents of my son’s classmates—many of them said their kids couldn’t stop talking about how much fun they had even after they got home. My son told me himself that this was the best party ever! We’ll definitely be coming back for my daughter’s birthday party too!
Alicia — Google review
First time here, staff were polite but we were told we would be charged for two hours but we only had one hour to play. We did arrive at 7 so unsure why they couldn’t just charge us for an hour. Adults need socks also to be inside the play area, if you don’t have any you have the option to purchase from them. I think they should have an option for just one hour that’s the reason for the negative star. But good play area looked clean lots of activity’s for kids, they do have good deals right now like annual pass for $99 a year or $199 a year, unlimited play.
Nat S — Google review
My son had a particularly perfect two-year-old birthday party yesterday. Every child is very happy and doesn't even want to leave here. Every staff member is exceptionally good, and we will choose to hold a birthday party here next year.

We came on Mother's Day and LOVED it! The staff is very friendly and they cleaned consistently through out our play session. The play area was very cleaned and well maintained. All the other parents were very involved and watching their kids. Our 2.5 year old loved it and we did as well. When we left they gave me a rose for Mother's Day ❤️ If we weren't moving out of state we would have definitely purchased a season pass.

Jump Into Art Studios is a vibrant community art center that invites both children and adults to explore their creative sides through a variety of engaging classes. From pottery and ceramics to textiles and watercolors, there's something for everyone. The studio's owner, Magda Dia, emphasizes fun with unique offerings like the weekly sip-and-throw pottery workshop for adults, which features an exciting blindfold challenge at the end.
I took my son here today for one of their workshops. Even though he was way younger than everyone they included him in every project, explained the process on his level and let him be excited. He was able to make soap and sprays and decorate a mini Christmas tree! Since we got home he will not stop spraying the lavender everywhere 🤣🤦🏾‍♀️I’m really happy with the outcome and I would love to return again! I found out they also have adult class so if you’re looking for a fun solo activity or maybe a relaxing girls night I really recommend them.💕

My family, 6 of us, went here for a "Thanksgiving Activity" We had a pottery class. Katey (think I got the name right) was our teacher and was FANTASTIC! Her awesome dog, Plume was present and encouraging us along the way lol. I can't say just how fun this was. Katey was so good at instructing, then lending advice as we were trying to create things. She was kind, encouraging and a wonderful speaker. We'll be going back I am sure. It was just too fun to be a 'one and done' adventure. - Thomas
