I went to chestnut square to find information for my wedding unfortunately we couldn’t afford a wedding for personal reasons but then the beautiful lady who attended me who’s name is Sharla was so kind showing me around the house and suggested me a photo session so we could have at least a memory of our important date so she convinced us and we make it and I’m so happy that she did that because if it wasn’t for her we wouldn’t have such a beautiful nice memories of our day, thank you so much Sharla and Chestnut team you guys are amazing!! You attention is so sweet and kind it just make you feel at home, they really understand the whole thing about it 🥰💕😘😍❤️❤️ 10 of 10!

First time to visit and we signed up for an October ghost tour. We loved the way it was set up with the first 40 minutes listening to audio and one video and then understanding their process of debunking the caputures. The rest of the tour was spent visiting the inside of 3 homes...lights off in all 3 homes...with only the red mode of the tour guides flashlight to guide us and, of course, hearing about the background of the houses and paranormal activities that happened on some of the tours. I would love to see an event added with a 4 person limit plus the tour guide using paranormal equipment in one of the homes, during the late night hours of course. Would definitely be signing up for that tour!

Had a great time at the farmers market! We will definitely be back!

Excellent place to go on the weekend. Great vendors and food. Most take credit card so makes it easy to buy stuff. Lots of local vendors. Love the gluten free food, and the honey from here. Also some really good produce and fresh bread.

Chestnut Square is truly a gem in McKinney. I’ve had the pleasure of running sound for several events in the beautiful Bevel House, ranging from community networking and veteran appreciation events to murder mysteries and even a talk by a former FBI agent. Every time, the staff has been an absolute pleasure to work with. They are professional, helpful, and dedicated to creating great experiences. Beyond events, I’ve also enjoyed shopping at the Farmer’s Market on Saturdays, where I’ve connected with amazing local vendors. Chestnut Square is a shining example of community and history coming together.

It was amazing! I had a great time! The trails are so beautiful, and the museum is very kid friendly. The butterfly exhibit was gorgeous. Its a pretty easy trail to take if you're just getting into hiking/walking trails. There's a bit of up and down, but its very clearly marked. The employees were all very kind and well educated. I do hope they get a little friend for the racoon, though!

Oh my gosh! What fun! It was a beautiful day, there was a cool breeze and lots of parents and their children looking at the magnificent Bugs Live displays throughout the beautiful nature center, the kiddos buzzing with excitement!! Some of the bugs, were automated and so fascinating... Keep in mind the butterfly exhibit will be open next week... Remember sunscreen and insect repellent... The exhibit will be on display until June 29th, 2025... You won't be disappointed!

This place is very cool! Grandson loved the Bug exhibits and can't wait to see the Dinosaur also. The setup inside is done extremely well to educate in a fun manner for kids and adults. The staff are very helpful and informative. The outside trails could be a bit more groomed just so there isn't any confusion.

We went for Bug's Live. It was a decent size trail for the event specially with little kids. Not all the bugs moved or made noises but kids still loved it. Staff was very friendly. The museum itself was decent size. Not huge but so many great things to look at! Gift shop was nice as well. Kids had to leave with something lol not too expensive compared to other places. We loved it. We traveled 30 mins to get there and would do it again! Plus all the flowers were beautiful along the trail.

It has everything for all age groups. If you want to bring kids, they can play in play area. There's a small zoo. A very long quiet trail for walk. A beautiful outdoor classroom and lake overview. We have just covered half of the park but loved it. It's not a one day adventure. Membership is a great way to explore it.

Adventure day for the week. Choose Heard Natural Science Museum and it was a great choice. Plenty of sights to see and places to explore. The kiddo and I had a blast with all the insect displays and indoor Museum. Will definitely be returning.

We had a great time there, especially the boys. The dinosaurs were neat but not exactly what we expected. There was certainly room for more features and a lot of improvement. The museum and the animals were fun too. Although most of them are seen by us on a regular basis because we live out in the country. The museum had a lot of nice exhibits but the facilities are in need of an update. The path the dinosaurs were on was a nice concrete walkway, but the whole place just looked like it wasn't really taken care of. The garden at the entrance was overgrown, and what looked like it was supposed to be a water feature was dry. It was clean but ungroomed. It looked like they had added plants pretty recently, but instead of disposing of the containers, they were just piled in a corner. I feel like most people will enjoy at least one visit if you are able. In my opinion it costs a lot more than it should. There are so many great free nature parks, and Halloween and Christmas decorations around that make the dinosaurs look insignificant. 5 or 10 dollars might be a more reasonable price. Or if you live nearby, the season pass may be an option. Please don't let me discourage you from going it was a really neat place there is just lots of room for improvement and you know the costs before you go.

We hosted our daughter's wedding reception at the Heard-Craig Carriage House. It was the perfect venue for our gathering. From start to finish our experience with Karen was exceptional. We loved the location and the charm of the building. Thank you for providing us the perfect space for our celebration!

Great place. If you can book it for a little party or smth, they have the perfect backyard and setup for the most amazing yet homely get-together. Loved it here.

Had a Family Reunion Event at the Heard Craig Center October 21, 2023. The Garden was perfect for outdoor games, table talking set ups, and family meals. Utilized the Carriage House as well for the kitchen use, layout tables for family photos, and the ease of a ramp for wheelchair accessibility. It all was the perfect venue for our reunion of 40. Thank you for wonderful, beautiful memories! We are all planning to meet there again next October!

What a lovely experience. I scheduled a Mother's Day tea here for my Mom. Full of rich history, delicious teas and a wonderful tour about the family history and town history. The treats were delicious and the conversation was even better! Looking forward to scheduling future events here.

We took a girls trip to Downtown McKinney for the Bubbles and Brunch LoneStar Wine Walk. It’s such a charming downtown with friendly local businesses. It’s an excellent amount of art, apparel, and unique experiences with great food.

Downtown McKinney is a special place like a second home for me and my family so many memories so much history come and see why Downtown McKinney is a great place to be!

Pinkitzel McKinney is the best spot in downtown! The tea is refreshing, the candy is delicious, and the atmosphere is so fun. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in McKinney.

Downtown McKinney has so much character to it. Love that it has many unique and interesting shop. Love the free trolley ride as well!

Great evening of food and fun. Park at First Baptist Church, it’s free to park and they offer a free shuttle!

Such a cute, homey downtown area!! The small businesses and shops have unique trinkets, delicious coffee/treats, and great gifts. They do a lot of family friendly/neighborhood events in the square and I absolutely LOVE their winter decor. I call it the little Christmas town! It is worth a visit and it’s an enjoyable square that you’re sure to find something you like!

Cute little museum. I wouldn’t expect to spend more than 20 min here. They do have a tablet that will give you a tour around the museum

Collin County Museum was incredible! They included Cherokee Elder Elvis Nelson's personal historical collection so other Cherokees could research their family history and Tribal culture.

Perfect place for a party! We rented the museum for our wedding reception 30+ people! Kristin was absolutely amazing, above and beyond. She was a God send for us, she had ideas that worked and special touches that made us smile. We walked in after our wedding and we could not have been more pleased, she worked seamlessly with the catering (Hutchins BBQ. ) The space gave our guest lots to talk about. We unconditionally recommend the Museum!

Great place to wonder around. Former post office. Well maintained and above all very friendly staff, explaining and highlighting the collection For sure a place to visit. It’s even free of entrance fee!

Amazing museum of county history! I loved the information on Benji- it was my favorite part. There's a sculpture of Benji a short walk from the museum. Our guided tour was amazing!

This is a small cute museum. There’s some interesting facts for the area. There’s interactive iPads that gives you additional information about the exhibits.

I wish they had better options for handicapped visitors, but they did an excellent job helping us tour.

Bonnie Wenk Park is a solid spot for getting outdoors in McKinney. The walking trails are well-kept, and the creek views are peaceful. I appreciated the dog park section — it’s spacious and has separate areas for large and small dogs. Overall, it’s a decent park with good potential, but could use some improvements to really shine.

Another gem of a park in McKinney Tx! Great for hiking - easy loop around the lake and linger ones are also there - all paved and clean Ample parking with entrance both from Virginia pkw and Hardin blvd. We will come again !

Unfiltered Joy Park for Kids! We were exploring the parks for our spring picnic. We came across this park. As we explored this park has - water trail - fishing pond - kids playing area - dogs park with fence - trail for dogs - soccer ground - volleyball game - car park - view points what not! Must visit. Bonnie Wenk Park spoil the kids for sure!

Bonnie Wenk Park is one of our favorite spots! My dog Henry absolutely loves the trails and the dog park area. It’s always clean, peaceful, and perfect for walks or just relaxing outside. Highly recommend for dog owners!

The grandchildren had such a great time at the playgrounds in this park! They’re covered which is a big plus for the slides to not be as hot.

Even if it didn't have a lot of meaning to me personally, this would still be a wonderful park for walking. With lots of shade, tons of wide, paved trails, all sorts of wildlife, and more Pokemon Go spins than almost anywhere, this is easily my favorite park within 20 miles of McKinney.

This is a beautiful trail system. Dog park, multiple kids play areas, and outdoor gym...just to name a few things other than miles of gorgeous trails. You forget you're in the city!

It's a nice park with lake and trails. Kids can enjoy swings and there are also lot of bbq spots and covered areas.

Great place for looking for mushrooms, lots of wood ear, I would not go right after a large rain as it gets pretty muddy.

Love playing ping pong with friends and family. It's free to hang out and play in the front lobby. We like to bring our own paddles but they have all that too. Nice lil playground and grounds outside. Safe area, clean and friendly staff.

I kind of stumbled across the festivities looking for something else. I hopped out and was impressed it was a lot of vendors with various artworks, crafts, and exhibits there. I like how they shut down a zone so you can walk to the displays or even brick and mortal stores. It's a good place to go it you're looking to support local & small businesses

This is my wife and I first time coming here. We came to watch Deliver Us From Mama. The play was good. The reason why for 4 stars is because of the uncomfortable seats.

McKinney performing arts centre is a theater located in downtown McKinney Square hosting plays and other performances, some featuring local actors. The entire area is a well preserved historic time capsule with most of the buildings being from the 19th century and currently used as local businesses such as barbershops, clothing, shops, souvenir, shops, restaurants, bars, and fashion boutiques. Excellent place to visit. I highly recommend.

Great events take place here. Safe place to take a walk around the block with benches to seat under the shade of nice trees and who knows, you might even get lucky enough to listen to a free song or two by my buddies, Zach and the Anarchist. 🤠 Also, there are very clean restrooms on the lower floor of the East side of the building which are equipped with diaper changing stations.

A great place to host meetings if needed!

Solid gem tucked inside historic downtown vibes. The building alone speaks volumes brick, bold, and built with presence. Once you walk in, it’s like stepping into a time capsule with class. What Hit: • Great acoustics and clean setup • Staff was professional and welcoming • Seats were comfortable and views were solid from almost every angle • Loved the intimate vibe felt like every performance was speaking directly to you What Missed: • Could use some modern upgrades with lighting and seating layout • Parking situation ain’t the best if there’s a big event • No real snack options or vibe extensions inside just straight to the show Final Word: If you appreciate smaller venues with heart, this is a must-visit. Classy spot to support the arts, especially local talent. Not over-the-top, but it carries soul.

This building has been around for many decades. Once the court and city building serving the public in the 1940's. Today it has been transformed into a public performing arts center that sits right in the middle of our beautifully remodeled and revamped downtown,it's architecture is still impressive and every turn uncovers wonderful moments in history teaching us how McKinney was born and had survived all these years

This is a wonderful trail with plenty of elevation changes and beautiful tree cover. I even spotted an armadillo on my last visit. It’s never too crowded, making it a great option if you’re in the McKinney area and looking for something close by. The trail is always well maintained, though it can stay muddy for up to a week after rain. Unfortunately, new construction and development in the middle of the trail have taken away some of the peacefulness that Erwin once had. On the bright side, there are some great spots to set up a hammock and relax!

Great trail. Temperatures were very good on the weekend we were here. Most of the trail has trees, so its not that hot in the trail when it gsts hot outside. Bikers come in opposite direction, had to stop multiple times in between to make way for them.

We went to this park to plan a group event. For early spring, we were not impressed with the closed restroom, stinky pond and negative vibrations. Absolutely do Not recommend this park to AfroAmericans or Black Folk. Many in the park, even for a Monday morning, exhibited racist tendency. Home schoolers walked past us close enough to touch us as if they didn't see us. Twice people brought hunting dogs into our space as if intimidating to release them on us. As we stood at the roadside talking, people in vehicles stopped to allow their dogs hang out the windows at us. An employee with the McKinney Parks and Rec arrived and seemed to be watching us as we prepared to leave. Leaving in multiple cars, we noticed residents living along the park road back to the city standing at their roadside mailboxes watching as we drove away. And lastly, as we returned back to the city street, a McKinney patrol car was stationed in the street on the opposite side... as if watching us leave the area. This is Not just my account, but that of the person I met at the park that day. Highly recommend AfroAmericans and Black Folk find something better, safer and more friendly than this park.

I was there to mountain bike and the biking is surprisingly good. It’s got a few sections with skilled options but the entire trail can be ridden as a green. I would definitely go back. There’s also a bike washing station

Erwin park has lots of nice family improvements for fun and safety. We love walking daily and seeing the new future improvement signs. Thank you McKinney for a wonderful community park With camping bicycling hiking photography opportunities. Highly recommended

Awesome place to go for some family fun. Kids of all ages, even those grown up's that are kids at heart. Had a blast. Will diffently go back again with the kiddos.

We went today for the first time and it was amazing. Aiden made my granddaughters experience on the climbing wall awesome! He made her feel special when she climbed up to the top the first time. He was patient and showed her how to do everything. We will be back because of him.

The place is cool, but the last time we went they either gave my order (large pizzas) to another family or forgot to make it. Either way we waited over an hour, when I went to check they said it would be 10 minutes, went back to check after the 10 minutes and it still wasn't made. The kids were starving that this point so I just asked for a refund so we could leave. At first the manager didn't want to give me a refund and kept sending the poor employee forward and back to check my bank statements. I'm like dude, you have no right to my bank statements, your system clearly shows I made this order, and the cameras clearly showed that I did not receive it. I was very upset. Finally got my refund and left. Idk if we will be back. The kids like it but I was very upset with the service at this location.

It's an entertaining place where the kids love it ...their buffalo wings are not bad, pizza could be better but the kids like it....over priced food, but it's an experience

We visited for the first time yesterday and my kids really enjoyed it! Ivone (not sure if this is how you spell her name) who was working the front desk was so friendly and helpful in getting us checked in and taken care of! She went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time! My kids went wild for about 4 hours (and still didn't want to leave) The place was clean and all the employees we encountered were nice! My only complaint is they were out of a lot of the snacks (churros, cotton candy, pretzels) and it was only about 3PM when we went to buy snacks. Overall, we had a good experience. We'll come back! 😊

Absolutely so impressed with the team on the floor and the kindness of all the staff. Took my 11yo son Henry, I was quite nervous as he had autism and several other disabilities. I was BLOWN away by how caring and supportive they were of him and all the kids that were running around. The staff member Aidan was especially helpful, what an extraordinary young man he is. He helped Henry to learn how to safely play on the “battle beam”, was so kind and respectful. When another young child tripped and fell, Aidan immediately gathered him into his arms, sat down on the bench and helped to console him. We look forward to coming back, clearly this location has great management and training in place.

Love this place! Sometimes it can get a little bit hectic and crazy with lots of kids but management is amazing making sure that everything is good. My son was hit a few times in the face with a dodgeball and Emma who was in charge was so sweet and kept checking to make sure we were okay which honestly made me feel comfortable showing that play actually care about the safety of the kids and her satisfactory of the parents.

ARCADE 92 is a super fun place to play all generations of video games... GOOD: •From pinball to arcade games to large HD flat screens and reclining leather gaming chairs.... They have Atari, Nintendo, Sega, Playstation, and PC's too! •This is REALLY cool for kids AND adults of all ages. •There are some tables & a small bar with really good custom drink selections. •You can order snacks, sandwiches, salad, & pizza. BAD: •they are often out of one or some of the ingredients needed for their specialty drinks. •there were several games out of order the last time we went.

Pretty cool place to relax and unwind. The food here is pretty good and they have really nice bartenders. There are a lot of different games Romay and you only pay one fee for the entire time you are there.

Arcade 92 brought that retro vibe alive classic games, good music, and a fun energy all around. Food and drinks were solid, nothing over the top but hit the spot while enjoying the games. Staff kept things moving and friendly, which made the experience even better. Overall, a 4-star spot perfect for nostalgia, fun with friends, and reliving old-school memories.

A great little date night for hubby and I! We had so much fun playing Pac-Man, Star Wars and the pinball machines. So much nostalgia for these games, place is so nice and sprawling. We had a great time!!! Also try Mario chocolates they are amazing!

Very chill place to go have fun with friends and play some old school games. From centipede to Sonic to some more modern plays, it provided a lot of fun for a decent unlimited price. Had a couple drinks, but didn't eat the food because we happened to show up during Octoberfest! Which was awesome also. But the food I did see looked delicious! Will have to try it next time!

I live in jacksonville, FL and i came here 2 years to visit this place! My girlfriend went to this place before and i heard so many things about it that i had to take a look! It it pretty fun and worth it for all day $12! The Staff is Very Friendly Here and they have games from Nintendo NES to Nintendo Switch, FortNite, Supersmash, PS1, and other games!!! they also serve good food here too including drinks :) i recommand everyone to give it a try!! Update: i am currently visiting Mckinney again :) i went back to my favorite arcade spot in the area!!! This place was awesome and i enjoyed the video game options thet had and i got to play terminator for the first time and it was super fun!! staff was nice :) i am returning again i love this place :)

Absolutely ridiculously unsupervised kids all ages. Teenagers having slam dunk contests while little kids are running around in between everyone. Not a parent in sight, and the only employee looked to be sleeping at the door before you enter the gym. Not only was it unsafe but if an adult wanted to use the gym you had to be stuck with all the kids while the other side only had 3 kids using it for there paid practice. I paid to use this place and can’t. What a waste of money. You can drop your kid off at any age, dont even check them in and it’s a giant daycare. I didn’t pay for that. The parents are just as bad, they don’t care there kids are in danger. Especially don’t care that they are all over the machines and gym ruining it for everyone else.

Summer here is a lot of fun. We have been coming here now for 5 years every summer. The kids love it and they always have a great time and always made friends here. We love having the option to shower here after swimming. Overall it is a good experience here during the summers for outdoor swimming

We signed up for swim lessons in the preschool and beginner levels, and the instructors were so patient and kind. They had more patience with my children than I do, and (as a teacher myself) I saw my children learning life saving skills through play. My five year old was able to teach me the “monkey game” and I use the key words that they used in their lessons to help them practice those skills between lessons (“float like a starfish” etc). These teens and young adults are using a fantastic program, they are supervised thoroughly, and communicated effectively with parents. The class sizes are 2-1, with 4 children and 2 instructors, and always felt like my children were safe and well cared for as they were being taught. What a great city facility. I am very grateful.

What an amazing facility with so many options of entertainment. We were helped so much by a wonderful woman, Katy! She was full of information and helped us anytime we saw her. Thank you so much for a wonderful summer and the kids loved it.

The lifeguards Jared, Hope, Brayden, and Emily were amazing! I had a blast dancing and doing rock paper scissors before going down the watersides. Hope gave everyone fistbumps at the bottom of the slides. The only downside was that we had to wait 30 minutes for the pool to get cleaned. We were still able to go inside, so nothing stopped us from having fun. I loved my experience and can't wait to see them again!

10/10! Came here for the water park. My kids’ orthodontist—Kraus Orthodontics—rented the place out after hours for 2 hours and the kids had a blast! The staff was very friendly. Easy to find the park and parking was simple! The kids are asking to come back!

I’ve never written a review on the Apex website before, but after what I witnessed this past Friday (June 6), I felt compelled to share my experience. I brought my son to the Apex pool, and while we were enjoying the main pool area, I noticed a young girl near the lazy river who appeared to be in distress. One of the lifeguards quickly spotted that something was wrong and immediately asked her what was happening. It looked like her foot was bleeding. It was difficult to tell how serious the injury was, but that didn’t matter to the lifeguard. They jumped into action without hesitation. Several lifeguards raised their fists, and within seconds, two others sprinted over, one carrying a large medical backpack. They began calmly assessing the girl's injury, asking about her pain level and inspecting the wound. As a small crowd began to gather, one of the lifeguards respectfully asked everyone to give them space. What stood out most was the calm and controlled manner in which they handled the situation. There was no panic! They did all of this for a simple cut on her foot. Imagine the care they would take if something more serious were to happen. It was an amazing reminder of the extensive training these lifeguards go through to ensure our loved ones are safe. No matter what happens, they are prepared and ready to respond. Thank you to the Apex lifeguards for your dedication. You give parents like me peace of mind knowing you’re on duty.

Had my daughter’s birthday here over the weekend. It was better than I expected it to be. The kids had so much to do and play with, they all had a blast including us adults. It’s a really clean, and super cool place for kids and adults to play. The staff is great, they were really nice and helpful with our party and guests. Great place for a kids birthday party.

We recently celebrated our son’s 3rd birthday at Play Street Museum McKinney, and it could not have been a better experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff was so kind, attentive, and genuinely excited to help us celebrate. They made everything feel seamless and stress-free, which is such a gift when hosting a toddler birthday party. The decorations and setup were absolutely adorable—the space was decorated beautifully, and every detail felt thoughtful and intentional! The museum itself was clean, safe, and the perfect size for little ones to explore without feeling overwhelming. Our son and all of his friends had the best time playing and pretending. As parents, we loved how easy the entire process was. The staff took care of so much behind the scenes, which allowed us to truly enjoy the party and focus on making memories with our son. Our guests were so impressed and kept commenting on how fun and unique the space was. We are so thankful to the Play Street team for helping us create such a special day. If you’re looking for a place to host a party or even just a fun outing for your kids, we can’t recommend Play Street Museum McKinney enough!

I had my daughter’s 3rd birthday party at PSM McKinney today. She had the best time! There were two lovely hostess, Ashley and Aubrey. They were both so helpful and professional. They helped me put up all decorations and take them down. I felt like I didn’t really lift a finger. Anything I started to take care of they took over. The most relaxing birthday party I’ve ever thrown. All my little guest had a blast and we are so thankful we picked this location to have a birthday party! Thank you PSM McKinney!

The young man there was AMAZINGLY gracious and helpful!!! I got there 20 minutes early because I'm a goober. We had my 6 year old autistic grandson and may 4 year old granddaughter; they had already walked into the play area when I realized the time was wrong. It would have been a nightmare with a real meltdown to get them to wait outside for awhile. In fact, we likely would have had to leave and go back to Oklahoma. The young man told me to let them keep playing, but he would be cleaning up a bit around us. I said that was great and I started helping him clean up a bit. HE REALLY SAVED THE DAY!!! The kids had a wonderful time. Henry was so happy and engaged the whole time! Nina loved it too.

This was my daughter's first birthday party with friends. She turned 4! We chose option 3 with the little dreamer theme. Added a fruit tray. And then added the making slime activities. My daughter is incredibly shy and anxious so we were not sure how well this would go. All our expectations were exceeded! It truly was a sit back and let PSM handle it all. They had it down to timing and my daughter cried at the end because she had so much fun and didnt want to leave. Normally she is ready to go home within minutes but PSM made this experience amazing for her and her friends. Thank you PSM!!

Our girl is 15 months old and had a blast! She was going and ready to leave right at the hour and a half mark. She plays so independently and is ready for nap as soon as she gets home. We are so happy we found this place!

Horses Honoring Heroes hosted a BEAUTIFUL ceremony for Memorial Day. Thank you to the hosts and the park for such a moving event! It was good to be back at Myers Park. I showed livestock there for my entire childhood. 🌻 Good memories, great times.

I feel that there should have been barriers between the Pedestrians and the school buses and the cars, it was risky and people were walking out in front of moving vehicles of all sizes. The Police could only do so much.

Went for Diwali festival. It rained but the event was okay. Lots of vendors and stage programs along with several indian foods. Event was in a park in a countryside and its a different experience.

Attended Moto Xtreme circus at Myers Park and Event center, it was an amazing experience. The event center is quite big with ample parking space. The event center has space separately for cattle shows, space for event like circus and even for wedding. And the place also has a public restroom.

Attended the Vintage Market Days event. Great vendors, food trucks & music. Facilities were well kept and parking was well managed.

I just went for a morning walk, and it was very relaxing. Seeing the birds and squarils while walking, breathing fresh air, all that peaceful environment helps me have a good start for my day!

I go thru that park all the time on my bike. Always clean and we'll taken care of. Baseball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts. Indoor I think also and a nice skate park walking/ bike trails also extend out of the park. Wonderful mckinney fireworks were held there this year. There is also a pool and full gym w basketball courts if you belong to the Apex center sports and psa sports building.

Very well stocked with many items you might not see at most supermarkets which makes it handy if you forget to make a purchase earlier elsewhere and pressed for time. Staff is friendly with the exception of baggers. Gas prices are very good. Some prices seemed high especially soft drinks. Recommend a WinCo or a Kroger's in the area for your soft drink needs.

Clean, well maintained. Great for sports activities for all ages. By the baseball bleachers, fields 6 & 7 (only fields on the park i have been to) there is a terrific play ground of equipment perfect to create fun for your young children while watching someone play baseball, or anytime you choose to take your children there. There is plenty of parking and very nice, very wide, level sidewalks to and from the fields. The sidewalks are great for strollers, wagons, pulling lawn chairs and coolers, kids power riding toys, wheelchairs, walkers, whatever you might need or want.

Love this park. My kids skateboard and scooter here often, and the older skaters are generally careful and respectful of the kids. There are three playgrounds, and all have some shade provided. Our favorite is near the baseball fields and has three levels of fun. There are walking trails and fields. There are restrooms and drinking fountains.

Great ballpark for watching baseball games. Love that there is a playground for little siblings with a huge shade cover. And bleachers for spectators with shade.

I regularly attend baseball games at this park. They're are usually conversations open, mostly clean restrooms, and the park is nice in general

I took a leap of faith and tried something different and the chef did not disappoint. I got the Red Fish (a la plancha) and it tastes exactly how its described on the menu. The bold flavors of the garlic and wine were exceptional and the veggies were well seasoned. I can't complain. I see why this place has a 4.9 rating. Oh, and my waiter was the sweetest. The food is great, the establishment is well managed, and the staff professional and friendly. I'm never going to another Mi Cocina's again.

Food was plenty and delicious. Temperature of the food excellent. Waiter and waitress were great and attentive. Atmosphere at this location is great with other eateries around it. It has both inside and patio dining.

This location has the absolute best bartenders. Sarah and Santiago are hands down two of the best I’ve ever encountered. They both make hand made margaritas that will be better than you’ve ever experienced. They go out of there way to learn what you prefer and then suggest drinks that are perfect for your tastes. They also constantly keep you up to date on future menu changes to make sure you’re always ready to come back for more. Honestly, I’m just worried some other restaurant is going to recognize their value and snatch them away. Promote them!!!!!

This location is always nice and consistent, and Andy especially is incredible!! He is so attentive and friendly and went the extra mile to make sure we were all satisfied and enjoyed our time at Mi Cocina. We will always ask for him as our server. The food was great as well.

Loved this place the vibe, the rooftop, everything! I tried the Margarita Dilemma and the Skinny Smash, and both were absolutely amazing. The Chicken Fajita Quesadillas had great flavor too. Overall, it had a fun weekend vibe and was totally worth it.

Elias provided me with excellent service, he was friendly and polite. My food arrived hot and it was very delicious, my beef was well done and my nachos cheesy just as i like them. I love it when the managers stop by like Daniela & Jessica to check on the customer, greet them and have a little chat❤️i like this location and i like it also because it is beautiful decorated..

We have done almost all the rooms and have so much fun each time. Tara and Ashton are great!

We enjoy going to do escape rooms across the country. We’ve done every room in the Plano location, and now this McKinney location for north Texas escape rooms. Kyra was our game master for a few of the rooms and she is simply amazing! She is enthusiastic and just fun. The only thing thing that was an issue on several of the rooms, (probably due to abuse over time) the objects or puzzles did not work and the game masters had to pause the clock and come open the objects or doors or whatever the item was. Submerged is the hardest room I have come across, it’s one you definitely need a few more people to join you on! Aunt Carol’s Closet was our favorite!

This place is awesome! My family has gone twice and we have gotten on the leader board both times (ROCK LOBSTERZ)!! The rooms are not too easy but if you work together and think out loud you can figure them out. Big shout out to Kyra because she is so nice and hyped us up when we won. Would recommend!!

Absolutely Awesome! We really love NTX Escape Rooms - so much so that we only have 1 more to go (Submerged) before we get our free t-shirts! We've had amazing game masters - Katelyn, Jenna and Trey - and have loved how they all know how to provide exactly the right level of help to make this fun and challenging. We love doing these together as a family! I would highly recommend this for families, friends or corporate team building events - loads of fun, and it really requires you to work together if you want to get out in time. Great job to the folks at NTX Escape Rooms - you guys are setting the bar high for other area escape rooms!

The Splash Pad is amazing. I also like the fact that it has covered seating, which is nice during the summer months. Only 4 stars because a couple times when I took my kids there in the morning, someone was sleeping on the actual playground equipment. One time they even left a burning cigarette sitting on the bottom of the slide.

I brought my niece & nephew here, and we spent hours! It's so nice to have the water features along with a huge playground. They could switch back and forth and had a blast! I appreciated sitting under the large pavilion.😎 They have shade covering the swing areas, which is so helpful when you're pushing a kid for what feels like hours. I wish the bathrooms were closer and that it wasn't concrete under the water features, but we're definitely coming back.

This is an amazing park! Its well landscaped and perfectly maintained by the McKinney Parks Department. Whether you need a place to let the kids play or somewhere to enjoy a peaceful moment away from the stresses of life this park has beautiful spots for everyone. There are large shade trees and sunny lawns, meadows dotted with wildflowers, a splash park, sports courts, picnic pavilions and plenty of scenery!

It’s in an interesting part of town, but everyone I’ve met or seen there has been really nice. And my daughter who is 3 love the splash pad there, we went 2 days in a row and would have gone a 3rd but she was unfortunately not feeling well. But will definitely be frequenting this park for the est of the summer and for as long as the splash pad is available.

Amazing park for the kids two play areas and tons to do. Couple of kids with a swing for infants for children who require to be strapped in. The slash park is absolutely adorable and tons of fun. A covered area with three tables. Don’t forget the basketball court.

This park is great! The playground is brand new. There is a splash pad that's open during summer months. There are plenty of slides, swings. It has a pavilion, picnic tables, restrooms, water fountain, walking/hiking trails, basketball court. It connects to a pickle ball court. Plenty of parking. Overall great park for kids of all ages.

We had an amazing experience at PSM - Allen. Our party host, Katie, was absolutely wonderful. She was very attentive and helped with literally everything. She helped set up, checked in with us multiple times during the party, helped served our guest and handled all the clean up. We were able to enjoy the party stress free. I loved the name sign throughout the play area! Cannot recommend PSM enough. Thank you for helping make our birthday celebration so seamless!

The Allen location is hands down our favorite! It’s spacious, has a great variety of toys and activities, and the staff does an amazing job keeping everything neat and organized throughout the day. I feel comfortable letting my toddler explore freely without worrying about his safety—everything is set up with care and attention to detail. They even have a cute little store at the entrance with really thoughtful, educational toys. And the free snack at the end of the visit? Such a sweet touch! We absolutely love coming here and will definitely keep coming back.

Our 3 yr old always enjoys going to PSM Allen! The 5 session pass which is good during all weekday sessions is a great way to save. PSM has a lot of different play opportunities and you can alway know where your kids is at as the employees always keep it nice and organize. Easy for the kids to select items that interest them and they always seem to grow with their play environment as their interest changes as the months go by. Definitely a must try place to see what interest your kiddos. Don’t forget to grab the free snack on the way out! 😋

Hidden Gem for Little Explorers! Admission is $15 per child, and worth every penny! This was our first visit to Play Street Museum, and I was thoroughly impressed by how clean, organized, and thoughtfully designed the space was. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful from the moment we walked in. My 3-year-old had the time of his life, he was completely captivated by the train table and would’ve stayed there all day if he could! We’ll definitely be purchasing a 5-play pass next time since we’re only three minutes away. This is the perfect go-to spot for families with kids 8 and under. The museum features an adorable, kid-sized airplane complete with pilot costumes, a pretend pet hotel, and an array of arts and crafts activities (available for a small additional fee). They also offer snacks and drinks, plus ample seating for parents to relax while their little ones play. A few tips: morning slots tend to fill up quickly (especially at this and nearby locations), so I highly recommend visiting on a weekday afternoon for a more relaxed experience. I had my daughter’s 3rd birthday party at PSM Allen today. She had the best time! There were two lovely hostess both named Avery. They were both so helpful and professional. They helped me put up all decorations and take them down. I felt like I didn’t really lift a finger. Anything I started to take care of they took over. The most relaxing birthday party I’ve ever thrown. All my little guest had a blast and we are so thankful we picked this location to have a birthday party! Thank you PSM Allen!

We made the drive north from Dallas and had a nice time. The market is located about a 5-minute walk from the town square where the courthouse is located. There is a great variety of vendors ranging from fresh produce to baked goods and even knife sharpening. Parking options include street, surface level parking lots, and parking garages. We followed the blue circular signs with the white P and found a parking spot right away. It was great to get there early, spend an hour or so there, and then head out for brunch nearby!

The best farm fresh eggs, and watermelon, fruits & Veggies. A lot of good vendors! Highly recommend going every Saturday if you can!

On Saturday mornings, this is THE place to get fresh, locally produced vegetables, meats, honey, oils, breads, cheeses, coffee, pastries, tamales, sauces, dog treats, ginger beer, woodworks, pottery, lavender items, soaps, and so much more! Bring a big basket!! Such an amazing Farmer’s Market and plenty of free parking, too.

They have so many different venders to visit. I love shopping here. It’s my favorite market.

Giving this 4 stars even though a good farmers market makes my heart soar. This one felt a bit sparse on both vendors and shoppers. Lots of good booths with meats, eggs, produce and wares. Not too many crafty things and multi-level items which I think junk up a good market. New location is easier to get to although come prepared to walk as downtown McKinney parking still thinks we have horse and buggy.

My favorite Saturday morning routine is to pick up the delicious baked goods I preordered from Rosemary Bakery, and eat them for breakfast nearby. I think my favorite is the blackberry pistachio croissant, but I usually get a selection of many of Brooke’s artisan pastries. I can’t go wrong, they’re all exemplary. (Pro tip: preorder between Sunday and Tuesday on their website, I always get what I want, no line at 10:00 ish) Then we visit John at Lewellen Farms for microgreens. K-Mama kitchen for the best pickled veggies, then Uncle’s Family Kitchen for Pizzas & Lasagna, the Tamale Company is a must. The place is magical & the vendors are always lovely.

We had an amazing experience at Cheerland for my daughter’s 3rd birthday party! They helped me set up my decorations and were very helpful during the party. Highly recommend!

This was the best party experience ever! We didn’t have to worry about a thing—Cheerland’s staff took care of everything for us. All we had to do was bring the cake and enjoy a wonderful time with everyone. I received so much positive feedback from the parents of my son’s classmates—many of them said their kids couldn’t stop talking about how much fun they had even after they got home. My son told me himself that this was the best party ever! We’ll definitely be coming back for my daughter’s birthday party too!

First time here, staff were polite but we were told we would be charged for two hours but we only had one hour to play. We did arrive at 7 so unsure why they couldn’t just charge us for an hour. Adults need socks also to be inside the play area, if you don’t have any you have the option to purchase from them. I think they should have an option for just one hour that’s the reason for the negative star. But good play area looked clean lots of activity’s for kids, they do have good deals right now like annual pass for $99 a year or $199 a year, unlimited play.

My son had a particularly perfect two-year-old birthday party yesterday. Every child is very happy and doesn't even want to leave here. Every staff member is exceptionally good, and we will choose to hold a birthday party here next year.

We came on Mother's Day and LOVED it! The staff is very friendly and they cleaned consistently through out our play session. The play area was very cleaned and well maintained. All the other parents were very involved and watching their kids. Our 2.5 year old loved it and we did as well. When we left they gave me a rose for Mother's Day ❤️ If we weren't moving out of state we would have definitely purchased a season pass.

Yesterday we celebrated my daughter's 2nd birthday at Cheerland McKinney and it was very special. My daughter and her little guests had a great time. It was a sweet afternoon to celebrate such a special milestone in our lives. I especially recommend it to parents of toddlers like me.

I visited this library for the first time yesterday. A big thank you to Sarah, who helped me sign up as a member as an out of county visitor. She was extremely helpful and even lent me a laptop charger when i mentioned i was running low on charge. Very friendly environment and a great resource to have stumbled across.

I like that there's a help desk in the entrance room. Various employees have always been friendly and asked if I needed help. Sure, there's a bunch of indigent people but I've never once had an issue there with noise or anything else from them. Good book selection. Haven't had to order a book before, so I don't know what that process is like. Bathrooms have been clean on the few times I've used them. Sometimes I park here, visit and then walk into downtown. it's a short walk and nice. I probably like the John and Judy Gay Library slightly better, but that's probably because everything is on one floor-- though it is a smaller library= smaller selection.

We love this library. Study spaces are quiet. People who work here are always kind and willing to help. Scanning books is a breeze. They also have plenty of events and activities throughout the year for all ages.

Been coming here all my life, but now it’s hard to study because of all the noise coming from the homeless or even finding a place to sit because they take up so much space… if you’re going to be there at least follow the rules or at least have common courtesy

The homeless crowd makes it slightly uncomfortable. But, everyone has a right to the library, even if as shelter from the triple digit heat. If you feel uncomfortable, John and Judy is much nicer. Today I took a survey on what I expect the library to have and what I would like add it on. If you feel indifferent of how the library is I advise you to hop on and take that survey it is open until October 6th.

Nice library. Always has books I want. Big and nicely organized. The parking lot is nice and big I can always find a spot. It is located downtown and it's convenient there's other things to do around it so you can make a trip in one day shopping downtown and stopping by the library. I really enjoy that there different wings of the library with the kids section being separate from the adult section for nice and quiet reading time. Staff is helpful at the front desk. They also have cell phone and tablet chargers available as well as local info with different parks and events going on brochures in the front.

Fun venue for mini concerts and dinner. My only complaint is that the sound system for Friday night's concert seemed to experience a lot of problems. Oh, and they really need to either have dessert food trucks for big events or recruit some sort of dessert themed restaurant into the district!

Great concerts. Free and getting there early for good seats are recommended. Bring lawn chairs as the restaurant outdoor seating is good but can get limited if arriving close to concert time. We like to go by Elwood B.F.D. for drinks and an appetizer prior to concert.

Went to see the Vintage Yell play. This place is cool but needs way more restaurants and bar options. Mi cocina was the only option. The band was great as always. I'll wait till they have more options built as this place is brand new.

Enjoyed the opening of District 121. Perfect place for music or to watch sports. Common table has a great brunch. Mi Cocina has an adult bar and Balcony as well patio perfect for drinks Mexican food. Bobs is open for more formal steak date night. The green space feature a stage within a large tv, games seating and play spaces. Parking garage nearby. Great night out.

I love the concept of these places but if you come in with a bigger group (especially kids that want to paint the big things) it gets expensive quick. You are looking at $35-$60 per item. The staff is super helpful in explaining how things work and the kiddos had a blast!

We took two of our nieces for a funday here. I don't know who had more fun, me or them. We chose our pieces and were given 2 hours to paint them. They supply everything you would need. We painted our pieces and had to come back a few days later after being glazed and fired. The staff was great, and very helpful. We definitely had a blast. They do recommend you make a reservation. This is a great place to take kids or a fun date idea.

If you’re looking for a lowkey way to spend a couple hours, want something new for your girl’s day dates, or just simply want to try something crafty and new.. run to Walls of Clay. Spent a couple hours ~glazing~ and having a blast with a new friend. Tons of items to choose from with many different price points and so many colors I almost couldn’t choose a few. The girls were super helpful and nice, occasionally checking in to see if we needed advice or help to make our creations the best! Note to self… trying to do cute scripty font on something small and curved may be hard for your first time. But the beauty is it’s not perfect (my handwriting LOL) and can always try again! :) Will definitely be coming back for birthdays and events.

Walls of Clay was a really good time. The staff was extremely helpful. This is great for adults or kids. There is an abundant selection of pottwry to choose from. The shop has everything you could ever want as far as paint and accessories. Also noticed a private room in the back for parties.

We sat for 20 minutes after our reservation and no one came to tell us what to do. We had never been before. It took awhile for them to help us when we asked a question and there were only 2 other people in there. On the positive side, they had a lot of great pottery choices. All kinds of styles. Most were fairly priced. Once you finish, it takes about a week to pick them up. It was fun to see how they turned out

My last visit to Jump Into Art was to experience throwing clay and creating amazing works of pottery! It was a total blast and I'm ready to go again! Amazing place and gifted teachers ❤️

Highy recommend! My partner and I did a date night pottery class and it was an absolute blast! Emily was so nice and helpful to those of us new to pottery. The class was fun and energetic with laughter and great music. We will definitely be back!

My family, 6 of us, went here for a "Thanksgiving Activity" We had a pottery class. Katey (think I got the name right) was our teacher and was FANTASTIC! Her awesome dog, Plume was present and encouraging us along the way lol. I can't say just how fun this was. Katey was so good at instructing, then lending advice as we were trying to create things. She was kind, encouraging and a wonderful speaker. We'll be going back I am sure. It was just too fun to be a 'one and done' adventure. - Thomas

I absolutely love Jump Into Arts! Magda has created a fantastic atmosphere. As someone who doesn’t consider themselves a visual artist, I feel encouraged and capable in each studio class. Can’t wait for the next class!

Celina Oktoberfest is such a fun, family-friendly event! There’s a great mix of food trucks, live music, contests, and local vendors. The Dachshund Derby and stein-holding competitions were a blast to watch. The downtown setting gives it a charming small town feel, and everything was well organized. Parking can get busy later in the day, so come early. Overall, a great local festival that gets better every year!!

We had the most fun at the oktoberfest in Celina is has been the best one so far , loved the music and was happy that Brave Combo was there. Thank you Celina

Great place! Separate little dog ans big areas with a joint "water park" in the middle. Always well kept amd supplied with waste bags. Trash is taken out regularly.

Loved this dog park. Brought my God Pup Leila Lei Lei and she loved it so much! Haha ♡ great times. My Twins loved it, also. There's even a doggie splash pad & i love how there's separation between big & small dogs areas, as well 🫶🏽 and doggie bags for picking up feces all over the park. Plenty of seating areas, it's mostly kept pretty clean & people usually pick up after their animals. Dog park is wonderful! Kids parks are amazing, as well. And, the two are very close to each other.

There is a park and a dog park. The turn to the dog park is to the left right when you come in. I drove passed it and ended up walking in the park. The park is very nice to walk. The actual dog park for small dogs is mostly under the trees. Gives lots of shade but no grass. There are benches to sit

Giving this park 2 stars because of the cleaniness of the site. Since it is mostly full of bark and wood chips , I'm not sure how easy it is to mantain but when we went, due to the hot weather, the smell of pee was very strong. In addition, it is hard to see if there is poop that owners didn't pick up as well (unfortunately I saw exactly this issue with other dogs at the park, which is why I share it). I can say that if the smell is not a problem to you, overall it is a quite big and nice park. The area for large dogs is the biggest one, which also has the fountains, so it is so cool and fun to see your doggo play with the water. For the small dogs, which is where we entered, I didn't like that 100% of the area was all bark and wood chips (again because of the cleaniness and smell), but the large dogs' park has an area with grass, so I think the smell is less there.

The splash pad is a standout feature—perfect for keeping pups cool during the brutal Texas heat. Towne Lake Park in McKinney is such a nice spot for a peaceful morning walk. Even though there is currently some construction going on and at times you can catch a bit of a sewer smell, I still really enjoyed my time there. The park has so much potential and once the construction is finished it will be an even better place for walking, bike riding, dog walks, and enjoying the outdoors. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area!

Great park with great space to entertain. Very spacious with picnic areas and some spaces for the barbeque enthusiasts. I don't know if swimming is allowed, however, you can kayak, you can maybe use pedal boats, and walk around the lake...feed the ducks, bike the trail, roller blades, or skateboard. Volleyball or badminton. The overall scene is great.

Nice park for jogging , picnic and family activities with kids

We had another great walk around the lake. But today was special! At around 7.30 am today just the sun was rising above the background, a hot air balloonist brought his balloon right dow on the last and skimmed away before rising again going high into the sky! What a sight it was to watch him aim past the treeline and then lower himself almost to the water’s tip before flying back high We could not have asked for a more glorious start to the day! And then to be able to find tortoises, heats , ducks and goose along with their young one start their daily runs for food into the lake just made this all the more memorable!

Beautiful and greenery park.. It have nature trail as well. If you are interested on kayak you can take it for rental it's just $3 for 30 min. Instructions are posted on the place. Best place for weekend picnic with family and children's. Children's will enjoy the joy of playing in children's park and you can enjoy the trail, biking etc etc. Enjoy your day, Have a good time 👍

great park, lots of shade and biking/walking trails. the Halloween decorations were amazing! sorry, they are already gone.

I really enjoy walking at this park. The trail also connects to other trails within the Mckinney park system.
