Very interesting and well worth the visit, children are also welcome on the hour tour. The lady was very knowledgeable with information about the distillery Disappointed with the food as there was only a sausage in a roll with onions $6.95 & feta cheese & spinach puffs but you had to go looking for the filling as it was dry and all pastry.
Loved hearing how world wide, award winning Bundaberg Rum is made from womb to tomb. How molasses is extracted from sugar cane and the product not used is turned back to the cane farmers to use as fertilizer for future crops. Very impressive operation which spans a great size and run by only 38 full time employees.
When you say Bundaberg you automatically think Bundaberg Rum and rightly so. This tour starts with a self guided tour of the Museum showing the history of Bundaberg rum which is very informative and jovial at the same time, and yes the polar bear is there. What follows next is a tour of where they make the rum. Our guides for the day were G and Taylor and they were fantastic, very knowledgeable and also full of “dad” jokes. Note you are not allowed to take cameras, phones, anything electrical whilst on the tour, this is for safety reasons. At the end of the tour you get to have two drinks of any of their range. Don’t worry if you are not normally a rum drinker as they will help you choose an alternative to your normal tipple. It is advised to book ahead as they can sell out. But I really think it is a must do when visiting Bundaberg.
Not being Rum drinkers we thought we’d take a tour and see if we could be swayed. The museum was really informative and an interesting part of Qld history. Our tour guide Jayden was a superstar! Funny (with all the Dad jokes) but full of information, fun and very upbeat. Great tour, great guide, great value with a couple of taste testers at the end. Were we converted?
It was an amazing experience, the staff were amazing, shoutout to our tour guide Deb for making it an unforgettable experience, I’d give them a 100 star rating if I could, I will definitely be going back to do it again and will be definitely going back and doing the blend your own rum experience
Outstanding experience. Exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable staff and well laid out interesting museum. We didn’t choose to do the distillery tour as have done plenty previously but overheard one of the guides as they passed through and sounded very enthusiastic. Your ticket for the museum or tour gets you two drinks at the bar included - bonus!
Amazing drink prices! Very very fair tour cost of $30 and you get 2 drinks at the end. So only really looking at like $5 for the entire tour. The most expensive spirit there only sets you back $12 and a mango cocktail sushi was $15. If you like Bundy it is a must to go.
The Mango Rum tastes awesome. Good value for money. Well presented and good museum. Guided tour was worth it, especially when you get two drinks at the end.

The Bundaberg Botanic Gardens are a fantastic choice for a family day out. The gardens themselves offer a peaceful and safe environment for children to explore diverse plant life, spot colorful birds, and enjoy the open spaces perfect for running around. But that's not all! There's also a dedicated playground within the gardens, providing additional fun and entertainment for the kids. This makes it a truly comprehensive and enjoyable experience for families with children of all ages.🙂🙂
What a lovely little piece of paradise located away from the hustle and bustle. Probably the only downside are the bin chickens and the bird crap that goes with it. But it is a very nice garden, well maintained. It has a cafe I believe but we never ventured there. And a little steam train that shows you around the gardens.
Looking for something to do when visiting Bundaberg, this is definitely the place to come to. It is free to enter and there is plenty of parking. There are three museums on site, Hinkler Hall of Aviation which also includes Hinkler House, Fairymead House Sugar History Museum and the Bundaberg & District Historical Museum. The best deal is to buy a museum pass so you get to see all three at a reduced price. There is a great cafe on site for when you are hungry called Cafe 1928. A miniature sugar train that takes you around the park. There is also the Chinese Gardens and the Japanese Gardens which are both beautiful. The park is full of wildlife and birds so do take in the beauty. There is so much to do, you can easily spend the whole day here and is very easy to walk around.
Loved the gardens. On a Sunday, Took train trip around the grounds.. $7 per adult. $3 per child. little man loved it. Great volunteers, very friendly and helpful. So many animals to see and feed the ducks. Loved the eels, water dragons, ducks, pelicans, turtles. Well layed out grounds. Plenty of parking, nice big playground in a fenced area. Clean toilets. Easy caravan parking on young street. Nice busy Cafe, quick service, reasonable prices and nice variety on the menu. So many grassed areas with shade for a picnic Love to visit again when next through Bundaberg
This is a lovely place mainly native trees the Japanese and Chinese gardens many items donated to the gardens. The sugar cane train ride is very little cost and children love it. Goes around the gardens.
These gardens are a credit to the city, they include quite a lot of the city’s history with the Hinkler Aviation Museum, a history museum, Fairymead House sugar industry museum, various styles of garden and the Sugar cane railway set in a beautiful place
Lovely gardens with plenty to see. They have a train that runs around but we didn’t get to go on it as we came too late. The lakes were beautiful and lots of birds & turtles to see!
Really nice and well-maintained garden. Perfect for a relaxing walk, enjoying nature, and taking photos.

Educational centre featuring exhibits on local aviation pioneer Bert Hinkler in a modern space.
Slide 1 of 8
Very cool place to explore, super interesting even if you’re not that in to aviation. Lots of interactive exhibits and heaps of local knowledge too. These junior aviators club is a super fun thing for kids. The gift shop has a cute range of products at reasonable prices. The 3 activity pass is really good value.
A great experience which gives insight into one of Australia's international heroes. It looks small, but you can easily spend several hours there. I also recommend viewing Mon Repos house, for a personal look into Bert Hinkler's life.
Well laid out and well thought out staff were excellent and came and fetched us about a min before the film started giving us time to settle. Each item on display had at least a short note. What particularly struck me was the piece of the glider that went on the Shuttle “Challenger”. And was returned to go on exhibition. Pioneers of flight.
Situated in the Bundaberg Botanical Gardens, this is a really interesting museum about Bert Hinkler. Bert was an aviation icon who died far too young. Start within the globe as there is a short video about Bert and his life, there are a number of interactive displays so channel your inner child and try them. Entrance also includes Bert’s UK house which they shipped to Australia so do check that out as well as it is a time capsule. I would also buy the three Museum pass and check out the other two places in the gardens as it makes it really cost-effective. Definitely worth doing if visiting Bundaberg.
Spent a good hour or more here and at Hinkler House learning the story of Bert Hinkler. Truly fascinating and enjoyable.
Absolutely fabulous aviation story & everything on display is first class condition or fully restored a must visit 😀 😊 👍👍
Interesting displays. The film was great to watch. We very much enjoying through the old house. The staff were very friendly & helpful.
For an aviation buff or a Bundy local this is a good place to visit to appreciate how big Bert Hinkler was in the pioneering days of aviation and what a local icon he was. The hall is small by aviation museum standards so if you are an aviation buff hoping to see displays of real planes then it would be a little disappointing. If you are invested in the stories more than the aircraft then it's definitely worth a look. This review would have been 5 stars except some of the interactive parts were out of order so that just takes you out of the experience a little.

What a wonderful surprise! This small zoo completely exceeded my expectations. While it may not be as large as city zoos, it more than makes up for it with charm, care, and a personal touch that bigger zoos often lack. The enclosures are clean, thoughtfully designed, and give visitors a great view of the animals without ever feeling invasive. I loved seeing unique species like the black cockatoos and emus — it’s clear the animals are well cared for and the staff are passionate about their wellbeing. One of the best parts? It’s completely free to enter! Perfect for families or anyone looking for a budget-friendly activity that’s both fun and educational. The surrounding park is beautiful too, with a shaded playground, picnic spots, and views of the river — great for making a full day out of your visit. Friendly staff, happy animals, and a relaxed atmosphere make this little zoo a must-visit if you’re in the area. A true local treasure!
The Alexandra Park Zoo are a fantastic choice for a family day out. The gardens themselves offer a peaceful and safe environment for children to explore diverse plant life, spot colorful birds, and enjoy the open spaces perfect for running around. But that's not all! There's also a dedicated playground within the gardens, providing additional fun and entertainment for the kids. A small zoo but free entry. I used to visit here when I was a boy (a long time ago), and my visit brought back very pleasant memories. The enclosures are well done, and the animals look happy & healthy. The keepers are very friendly and knowledgeable. Worth the visit.
Small zoo. Free and really fun for kids. They even have colouring pages and a booklet for children to interact with. Situated right next to a park. Great for a picnic. Near the river
Amazing little free zoo right in town. Right next to the park and playground. Ample parking. Pram and wheel chair friendly. Whether you have 5 mins or 45 mins, there kids will love it.
Small but lovely zoo, perfect for a quick visit. The best part? It’s FREE! Great spot for families or anyone who loves animals.
Great park for all ages. The zoo is little but the kids still enjoy it
A small but free zoo next to the children’s playground and adjacent park. Dingo walking is around 2PM, although this can change depending on weather, school visits, or their desire to go for a walk. There’s a few native Australia animals, and a good place to visit when nearby for 20 minutes or so!

Incredible experience thanks to the turtles, Rangers and friendly volunteers. We were lucky to see a loggerhead turtle lay eggs, after abandoning its first nesting attempt and then another turtle restarting. We were able to watch the little turtle from the sand running through to the water. Our group (2) left the building to see the turtle at 8:00pm and returned at about 10:00pm - a long night for us but well worth it. Suggestion: read through all of the Mon Repos information on the Queensland Parks & Wildlife service website, as the actual booking site only provides limited information。
An amazing experience. Our kids (4 and 9) both absolutely loved it. The ‘ranger’ costumes were great, the interactive self-guided tour had lots and occupied us for nearly an hour. All staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. To top it off, the cafe served up a delicious fish and chips with one of the best coffees we’ve had. Highly recommend anyone in area pay the Mon Repos Turtle Centre a visit for a unique and enjoyable experience.
Definitely bring: walking shoes and a light jacket for the beach. Truly special experience watching a loggerhead turtle lay her eggs. We were split into 2 groups and waited in a big hall adorned by beautiful native artwork, educational material about the turtle centre and its history. You could easily spend an hour just going through it to keep busy. We didn’t wait long before the first turtle sighting - we walked along the beach to see the turtle. The turtle wasn’t happy with the nesting spot so we walked back. Second alert came shortly after we returned and we walked towards the nest. The loggerheads there spent about 30-40 minutes laying her eggs. We got to help move the eggs to a new nest and the staff were exceptional: skilled, educated, and professional. Great experience for little ones and adults alike. Would recommend this to all!
My husband & I stopped here for coffee. The lady commented on my shirt & said she had a bracelet to match. I mentioned my children had just given me a beautiful bracelet for my 70 th bday & this gorgeous lady gave me the bracelet as a gift!! Couldn’t believe it. What lovely people. The coffee & cake was also delicious & a beautiful little spot. Thank you xx
This is so worth the visit We booked for the turtle experience again and never disappointed. Turtles arrived early this time,a bit of a walk to find her ,but watching her lay eggs and waddle back down to the beach is unbelievable. Watching her wade back into the water is mind blowing to me,such a humbling experience Weather was great Kiosk is brilliant tho a little pricey, plenty of seats, plenty to look at,visual tour at the back beyond the kiosk, kids can dress up, get there early tho to be in 1/2 groups. Also to find close parking. Everything is clean . Someone left their dog in the car barking in the car park,on can’t read signs and brochures online, they were asked to remove the dog. Lots to buy ,lots to do and so worth the experience. Will do again when hatchlings out Guys one thing that’s annoying me tho is the spelling of centre on the title above on your page,we aren’t American
Turtle nesting seasons start in Nov but I went too early so I have no luck to witness the moment. The staff is very kind to explain and tell me a lot of stuff about turtles and I learnt a lot from her that day. They sure are very helpful and informative. You will need to buy a ticket if you want to visit the museum. Else you can walk around or to the beach. But no visitors are allowed in the night during hatching seasons as the torch light will scare the turtle away. And you are required to book the tour if you want to watch the turtle laying the eggs.
Beautiful centre with equally beautiful surroundings. The turtle centre joins onto the beautiful beach which is a great addition to visit after visiting the centre. It is great to be involved in the conservation of these magnificent turtles in this area of ecotourism.
Definitely need to visit during nesting season (Nov to late March), otherwise it's a small walk area to the beach in addition to some information boards and small museum area. There's a cafe onsite too, and the boardwalk to the beaches was lovely. Understandably no dogs allowed at all within the area.

Amazing distillery tour and tasting done by Rick! I would really recommend doing this tasting/tour. Honestly it was better than the Bundaberg rum tour. The space is beautiful with a garden and Lunar bar (with a golf simulator!!) Overall, great experience with great gin, rum and vodka. Very reasonable prices!
Such a great venue for a relaxed afternoon, that new function room looks amazing too! A lovely family owned local business, products are truly superb. Interesting tour to find out about the distilling process too. Thoroughly enjoyed the tasting samples at the end and highly recommend the liqueur tasting paddle.
Today we enjoyed a complimentary tour and tasting at Kalki Moon Distillery in Bundaberg. Rick, who is the co-founder of the business did the tour and it was outstanding. Although he’s probably said the same thing thousands of times, it was like he was giving the tour for the first time. His passion for his craft was obvious and no question was too stupid. Following the tour, Rick’s son and wife, who are also involved in the business, organised our tastings with no pressure to buy. We were happy to buy some bottles of gin and rum on the way out to support this local, family run business. Well worth a visit.
Excellent distillery tour this will take approximately an hour, up close and absolute though description of all facets of rum, vodka and gin making with tastings at the end.
What a gem of a distillery! We visited Kalki Moon Distilling Company for a complimentary booked tour and were not sure what to expect. We were super impressed by the professionalism of Mia (our tour guide) and her exceptional knowledge of the distillery’s history and processes for making gin, vodka and rum. Mia was calm, assured, informative and welcoming and the very positive experience will be easy to recommend to others. The final part of the tour showcased the golf simulation space with associated bar that can be booked for functions and parties as well as a sampling of two spirits of your choice from the extensive range produced by Kalki Moon. This exceptional experience should be a must hoist on anyone’s visit to Bundaberg. Thanks.
We had friends visiting us at Burnett Heads. Took them for the tour at Kalki Moon which we did ourselves many years ago. Such an informative interesting hour. A great story of a young couple who had a go and is going from strength to strength. Such a great product, venue and story!
Excellent experience learning alot about the industry which we didnt know. Well worth the trip and the chance to taste 2 different kinds of Gin,Vodka or Rum and all for free. We were lucky enough to have the tour one on one with one of the owners.
Craft Gin, vodka and rum maker. The tour gives insight to the spirits business and how they are different from the volume distillers. Great venue, with a special Lunar lounge for special events that has golf simulators Friendly and knowledgeable staff

We were welcomed with smiles and laughs the moment the doors opened just up visiting the area and looking for things to do places to see and places to stay the staff were very helpful highly recomend dropping in and saying hi. It was that friendly welcome that made the decision much easier to stay and explore what this town has to offer
I was traveling around Bunderberg and got some nice hints for exploring the area and booked a Mon Repos tour even when it was booked out.
We are new to the area so I called in to find out what is around the area. Alana was extremely helpful, full of enthusiasm and genuine love of the area. Other staff were also helpful. Thanks for making it a great experience.
I was looking at 3 different dates to take my family on the Mon Repos turtle experience. The website booked and charged me for all of them, so I called to cancel two. As we were on our way to Bundy, I called to confirm our booking. Sure enough, there had been a mix up and our planned night had been booked out. I was assisted by an exceptionally helpful girl named Allanah, who contacted various people, despite it being to weekend, and was eventually able to rebook us for the following evening. Without the amazing customer service that I was provided, my kids would have been in tears and our special holiday weekend would have been a disaster. I think the website for bookings might need a little work though.
Very good save yourself some time. Check it out..
Thank you to the lovely gentleman who helped us Friday afternoon. Your recommendations were spot on, strawberry ice cream perfect, loved the Bundaberg ginger beer tastings & the walk to the Turtle centre was great.

As you indulge in the culinary delights, the menu unfolds a tantalizing array of coastal-inspired dishes. From freshly caught seafood platters to hearty baskets bursting with local ingredients, every bite is a celebration of coastal cuisine at its finest.
My friend and I recently visited Bundaberg and attended Riverfeast on Friday night. It has a great atmosphere. The service was excellent, and oh my goodness, the tacos 🌮 were amazing.
nice place~ feel relaxed It's a good choice for Friday
What an amazing and unique open venue with food stalls, a huge selection of international beers and live music. What more could you want on a Friday evening.
Had an October fest . Lots of german fare. Local micro brewery did the Beer. Lots of music. Good day
Fantastic venue Friday nights come alive on the Burnett River with the transformation of Bundaberg’s old Marine College facility into an enticing array of international street food and a selection of quality retail stalls to wander through. We really enjoy the selection of craft beers, ciders and wines from the local and Australian breweries. It has such a great atmosphere with fantastic live music whiles drinking nice cold brews on the deck and eating a selection of tasty foods.. Kids had a ball too... Chilling out in the kids area playing games when not mesmerized by the great live tunes.. Car Parking was not a problem, as there was a huge grassed area at the back of the venue if the main front car park was full.. We are from Brisbane and came to Bundaberg for a Family holiday over the Christmas break. I spoke to some local people in Bundy and they mentioned something about this place a couple days prior... And I'm so glad they did as this was one of the best nights we had in Bundy.. I wish I could have something like this in my home town in Brisbane.. I would like to thank all the staff and even the security on the door which were so helpful, even telling us about some great beaches to visit whole up there.. Thanks Guys🍻

Such a beautiful part of Bundaberg. Love visiting here and going for walks. If your a person who like spending time in nature, I highly recommend you visit here to experience how amazing it is.
A pretty walk around the few lakes, and a great place to view hundreds of bats across the bridges to the small inlands. Dogs allowed on leash, and you’ll need to be careful of both snakes and the floor temperature with the dogs (not many people were aware just how hot the floor can get unfortunately!). Limited shade on the walk, but good nonetheless!
Only one area with tables, which is at the toilets [with a large undercover area], unless you go over to the playground on the other side .. some lovely walks though, with lots of bird life around the water, and plenty of water to have bird life!
Great spot for a quiet nature walk beautiful natural landscape
Lots of trails. Dog friendly. Had toilets. Plenty of parking. Had a small waterfall.
A fantastic park with a strong water theme. There are many water birds and is a great area for bird watching. This is a very relaxing area great for a morning or afternoon walk.
Went here to visit lake Ellen playground. Great for the kids. Great for families. Father's and sons playing a bit of catch with the footy. Bike riding paths. The whole shebang.
Nice quiet place for bird photographer's to explore with many species and ponds. Plenty of shade and tracks to explore.

I went to the Bundaberg Library to join as a member, I was so impressed by the way I was treated by Misty and Karen on duty staff when I went to enquire about the situation. They have a massive library of books and lots of services to go with the library. The seed information was awesome. They have seeds for you to take and grow at home. Can do online borrowing and normal regular borrows as well. You need to activate a few other apps to make the experience easier. They have a cafe as well to read and enjoy your books with a coffee or tea as well, didn't see a y snacks, so maybe no eating in the library. Really good experience overall and some awesome services to experience. If you liked my review, please click the blue hand to let me know how you went. See ya on the next one.
Needs some sort of noise barrier between childrens' area & the general library as it gets quite noisy at times which makes studying or reading difficult. Otherwise the library is very good in terms of staff & resources.
I love hanging out here - coffee shop inside, lovely staff, great selection of books, good study spaces. So grateful to have this space to come to :)
On a holiday from Adelaide, being a member of Campbelltown Library in Adelaide thought that I might get something to read. I was in Brisbane last year and joined their library for free without any difficulties. With my Campbelltown Library card in hand I approached the young lady at the reception counter, asking if I could join to borrow a/some books. She informed me that I had to produce an account in my name with a Bundaberg address to join for free, otherwise it would be a $30 fee!! I was a little taken aback and said that if I wanted a book then I would buy one. I explained that I was from Adelaide on holiday and didn't have the necessary receipts/accounts. We have found that Bundaberg is a very welcoming town/City. The bowls clubs have welcomed me with open arms, the fitness/pilates gyms likewise with my partner. Perhaps the Library needs to follow suit!! Stewart loch
Helpful staff, plenty of room, free computer use, even a Cafe inside. Lots of different activities all in air-conditioned comfort.
Brand new and absolutely beautiful. Great use of space and is very trendy and full of ambience lots of quiet corners and also has plenty of tables and chairs as well. Has a games area and spot for the young ones. Great job satisfaction high.
The staff at Bundy library were wonderful and so helpful to my small problem today. You gals at front counter know who you are and i say a big Thankyou.

Downstairs, there was a exhibit titled "Savour", which highlighted that mot people spend only 17 seconds at each piece, so they were encouraging you to savour each piece and I did exactly that. The pieces were thought provoking, beautiful, scary and weird. The second exhibit was a digital animation called "Invested", I sat and watched this 3 times. Upstairs was "in the shed", a collection of black and white photos of men and their sheds, with quotes from them. I spend over 1.5 hours in there and enjoyed every minute.
Definitely a place you need to stop and check out. Rebecca (Gallery Director) has a keen eye and has curated some amazing exhibitions. Currently, they have a exhibition from secondary students and it was beyond. The talent and emotions in the pieces made it hard to believe the age of these artists. Truly astonishing. Aside from the art the staff are some of the friendliest I have met (especially Sandy). They not only know everything about gallery but also Bundaberg and the surrounding area. This knowledge really enriched our road trip. Yes, I did ask permission before I took the photos =D
Very beautiful Art Show highly recommend this place. And the ladies working in front desk amazingly helpful kudos to them. (Free entrance)
We went for the free kids crafts on a day visit in the summer holidays, which was great! A little table was laid out to help ourselves so we took our time colouring and enjoying the aircon and quiet. They also have a nice little nook for kids to do drawing in. Didn't look much at the art, there didn't seem to be lots. Then again, we didn't really go for that. Lovely stained glass window though :)
Completely exceeded expectations. Wonderful exhibition by Tom Moore. Moore is definitely more. Loved it!
We visited the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery to view the Ronald Hurley Exhibition, October 2023 This is a great venue with significant historical value in its own right We found the staff to be very friendly, welcoming and also quite knowledgeable of the exhibition pieces and artist The facilities are spotlessly clean, and, access is by stairs or a ramp - both from Barolin Street. On-street parking can be hard to find but there is a large off-street car park opposite on Quay Street. Be very careful crossing Quay Street, as it’s very busy and there’s no pedestrian crossing The gallery is a wonderful local resource, with a variety of exhibitions throughout the year 🏆
Art deserves better, do everyone a favor and turn the building back into a bank.

What a wonderful historical venue. Bundaberg is surrounded by history, living history. I couldn't stop taking pictures. Fairymead House is a crowning jewel and typical of Australian ingenuity and the strength of those indi viduals that built this country. If you're passing through this city, Bundaberg, Qld., make sure you stop and look. Fairymead House, located in the city Botanical Gardens.
Situated in the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens this is a fabulous museum about the history of the sugar industry in and around Bundaberg. It originally was the sugar mills manger’s residence for Bundaberg Sugar and was carefully moved to this site. You have to enter via the top floor, which has all the rooms dedicated to the founding families of the area, with the ground floor all about sugar and how it is made. You will be surprised of how interesting sugar is and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Note, it is only open in the morning, so if visiting the gardens make this your first stop. A good hint is to get the museum pass which allows you to all the venues in the gardens at a much cheaper rate and all are very close together so you can easily walk between them.
As visitors to Australia we found this imposing Queensland plantation house interesting as was the small section on sugar cane farming. There was little to interest children however and the whole visit only lasts about 30 minutes. Don't go out of your way to visit but it's worth a quick exploration on the combined ticket with the Hinkler Aviation museum and Heritage centre. The botanic gardens provide its setting with its handy cafe nearby. Visiting times are restricted so you need to plan ahead.
A brilliant museum showing the history of the sugar industry in and around Bundaberg Many individual rooms dedicated to various aspects of the industry and the life of the cane cutting community
Loved the history and the story of the Homestead. Don't miss the museum under the house.
Beautiful place. Calm serene and the house has a loved feeling. There is a lift if you can't manage the stairs. Fascinating background to the families that owned the house plus other families who started businesses relating to the sugar industry.
3 kiwi brothers who wanted to 'try something different...sugar' have built a wonderful Homestead. A wonderful example of the Queenslander style of housing. The museum about sugar is informative. 3 Italians and 2 Toft brothers played big roles in Bundy sugar. Thanks for nothing Cane Toads, a good recap of the original purpose and disastrous consequences. Located in the Botanical Gardens with access through walking the park, or car parking at the front of the House. Good work to the community of Bundy for relocating the House for people to appreciate.
This old house is a wonderful specimen, however some of the rooms were not set as what they used to be. A lift has been installed and even though true historians may lose their breath in a sudden cry of anguish, this has allowed many more people to see this home and is tastefully hidden. Some artefacts are very interesting and it also encompasses other families who contributed so much to the sugar industry. For Seniors' week, we were provided with tea/coffee and cake that we took pleasure in eating on that wonderful verandah. One could dream of such a house in India and sitting there in the Australian sun as the cane burned. There was a shirt replica that one of the men wore whilst working in the fields - they were tough in those days.

Fabulous view. Great information board which also has informative audio clips about the geology and formation of the local surroundings. Parking and shaded picnic area with great views.
Bundaberg is very very flat with one little hill on it that has an outlook with a small gazebo that has an electric speaking overview on the history of the area. There is also a monument in honour of Bert Hinkler, but it is missing the bronze plane that is meant to be on top of it. If in the area I would pop up, it doesn’t take long and you can see the whole area.
Hummock Lookout offers a beautiful view of Bundaberg city on one side and Bargara on the other. It’s a must-visit spot to take in the stunning scenery of the farmlands and coastline. The area is quiet with little traffic, making it an easy and relaxing place to enjoy the cool breeze from the top of the hill.
Beautiful views of the surrounding areas, lovely place to watch the sunset and even got to meet some lovely young locals and enjoy a good chat
A treasure in Bundaberg, a sight to behold. Don’t miss your chance to view Bundaberg Nanette surrounding regions from the top on The Hummock. You can see as far as the ocean all the way across the cane fields and to the mountains and beyond. An iconic spot where we made many boozy memories as teenagers. Long live the hummock
This lookout offers beautiful views of the surrounding crops and farms, along with historical information available on an interactive display.
Awesome place to get a great view of the area
Good to see the area around the Hummock. The video was informative . It would be good to have a map pointing out beaches, and points of interest.

This makes it a truly comprehensive and enjoyable experience for families with children of all ages 😊
