The Hinkler Hall of Aviation is an educational center that showcases exhibits on local aviation pioneer Bert Hinkler in a modern setting. While the hall may be small compared to other aviation museums, it offers a valuable opportunity to learn about Bert Hinkler's significant contributions to aviation history. Visitors can immerse themselves in interactive activities and view various aircraft displays, with some even accessible for entry.
Very cool place to explore, super interesting even if you’re not that in to aviation. Lots of interactive exhibits and heaps of local knowledge too. These junior aviators club is a super fun thing for kids. The gift shop has a cute range of products at reasonable prices. The 3 activity pass is really good value.
Erin B — Google review
A great experience which gives insight into one of Australia's international heroes. It looks small, but you can easily spend several hours there. I also recommend viewing Mon Repos house, for a personal look into Bert Hinkler's life.
Jared C — Google review
Well laid out and well thought out staff were excellent and came and fetched us about a min before the film started giving us time to settle. Each item on display had at least a short note. What particularly struck me was the piece of the glider that went on the Shuttle “Challenger”. And was returned to go on exhibition. Pioneers of flight.
Dennis H — Google review
Situated in the Bundaberg Botanical Gardens, this is a really interesting museum about Bert Hinkler. Bert was an aviation icon who died far too young. Start within the globe as there is a short video about Bert and his life, there are a number of interactive displays so channel your inner child and try them. Entrance also includes Bert’s UK house which they shipped to Australia so do check that out as well as it is a time capsule. I would also buy the three Museum pass and check out the other two places in the gardens as it makes it really cost-effective. Definitely worth doing if visiting Bundaberg.
Casandra T — Google review
Spent a good hour or more here and at Hinkler House learning the story of Bert Hinkler. Truly fascinating and enjoyable.

Absolutely fabulous aviation story & everything on display is first class condition or fully restored a must visit 😀 😊 👍👍

Interesting displays. The film was great to watch. We very much enjoying through the old house. The staff were very friendly & helpful.

Awesome adventure! This goes beyond a museum and showcases the exciting, high adrenaline life of Bert Hinkler in such a fun, hands on & interactive way. We loved every bit of it. Highly recommend a visit. The entire area is wonderful. It is a shame all of it isn't open on Saturdays as we still haven't be able to see The Bundaberg History Museum. The botanical gardens are sensational & it's a lovely drive through, or walk through or train ride around the park. Gorgeous part of history and a great spot to visit while in Bundy.

Bundaberg Botanic Gardens, established in 1988 on a 27-hectare land, is a picturesque subtropical botanical garden featuring a serene lake, charming chapel, and scenic boardwalks. The gardens are adorned with over 10,000 shrubs and trees, offering visitors an opportunity to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. Additionally, the site houses the renowned Bert Hinkler Hall of Aviation and Bert Hinkler's former residence known as Mon Repos.
A lovely little area to walk either solo, group, or with family/kids. A relatively easy walk. Also boasts a train you can catch around the parkland and I believe it is ticketed. The aviation museum is also within the same grounds, and there is a great playground area and seating available near the entrance of the gardens.
Riss R — Google review
The Bundaberg Botanic Gardens are a fantastic choice for a family day out. The gardens themselves offer a peaceful and safe environment for children to explore diverse plant life, spot colorful birds, and enjoy the open spaces perfect for running around. But that's not all! There's also a dedicated playground within the gardens, providing additional fun and entertainment for the kids. This makes it a truly comprehensive and enjoyable experience for families with children of all ages.🙂🙂

What a lovely little piece of paradise located away from the hustle and bustle. Probably the only downside are the bin chickens and the bird crap that goes with it. But it is a very nice garden, well maintained. It has a cafe I believe but we never ventured there. And a little steam train that shows you around the gardens.
Shane H — Google review
Looking for something to do when visiting Bundaberg, this is definitely the place to come to. It is free to enter and there is plenty of parking. There are three museums on site, Hinkler Hall of Aviation which also includes Hinkler House, Fairymead House Sugar History Museum and the Bundaberg & District Historical Museum. The best deal is to buy a museum pass so you get to see all three at a reduced price. There is a great cafe on site for when you are hungry called Cafe 1928. A miniature sugar train that takes you around the park. There is also the Chinese Gardens and the Japanese Gardens which are both beautiful. The park is full of wildlife and birds so do take in the beauty. There is so much to do, you can easily spend the whole day here and is very easy to walk around.

Loved the gardens. On a Sunday, Took train trip around the grounds.. $7 per adult. $3 per child. little man loved it. Great volunteers, very friendly and helpful. So many animals to see and feed the ducks. Loved the eels, water dragons, ducks, pelicans, turtles. Well layed out grounds. Plenty of parking, nice big playground in a fenced area. Clean toilets. Easy caravan parking on young street. Nice busy Cafe, quick service, reasonable prices and nice variety on the menu. So many grassed areas with shade for a picnic Love to visit again when next through Bundaberg

Really loved visiting. WILDLIFE: Lots of wildlife - Ducks, Pelicans, Australian Ibis, Dusky Moorhens, Water Dragons, Emerald Doves, turtles, eels and more. GARDENS: Themed gardens around every corner. Themes such as; Rare fruit trees, Japanese Garden, Chinese Garden, Prehistoric Garden, just to name a few. A photographer's dream. Just a really beautiful place.

This is a lovely place mainly native trees the Japanese and Chinese gardens many items donated to the gardens. The sugar cane train ride is very little cost and children love it. Goes around the gardens.

These gardens are a credit to the city, they include quite a lot of the city’s history with the Hinkler Aviation Museum, a history museum, Fairymead House sugar industry museum, various styles of garden and the Sugar cane railway set in a beautiful place

Discover the world-famous Bundaberg Rum Distillery, where educational guided tours and tastings offer a deep dive into the production process of Australian rum. While in Bundaberg, visitors can also explore the Mon Repos turtle rookery, enjoy diving or snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef, and go whale watching. The area's beautiful beaches provide a perfect setting to relax after exploring all that Bundaberg has to offer.
Very interesting and well worth the visit, children are also welcome on the hour tour. The lady was very knowledgeable with information about the distillery Disappointed with the food as there was only a sausage in a roll with onions $6.95 & feta cheese & spinach puffs but you had to go looking for the filling as it was dry and all pastry.
Raelene P — Google review
Loved hearing how world wide, award winning Bundaberg Rum is made from womb to tomb. How molasses is extracted from sugar cane and the product not used is turned back to the cane farmers to use as fertilizer for future crops. Very impressive operation which spans a great size and run by only 38 full time employees.
Kathy R — Google review
When you say Bundaberg you automatically think Bundaberg Rum and rightly so. This tour starts with a self guided tour of the Museum showing the history of Bundaberg rum which is very informative and jovial at the same time, and yes the polar bear is there. What follows next is a tour of where they make the rum. Our guides for the day were G and Taylor and they were fantastic, very knowledgeable and also full of “dad” jokes. Note you are not allowed to take cameras, phones, anything electrical whilst on the tour, this is for safety reasons. At the end of the tour you get to have two drinks of any of their range. Don’t worry if you are not normally a rum drinker as they will help you choose an alternative to your normal tipple. It is advised to book ahead as they can sell out. But I really think it is a must do when visiting Bundaberg.
Casandra T — Google review
Not being Rum drinkers we thought we’d take a tour and see if we could be swayed. The museum was really informative and an interesting part of Qld history. Our tour guide Jayden was a superstar! Funny (with all the Dad jokes) but full of information, fun and very upbeat. Great tour, great guide, great value with a couple of taste testers at the end. Were we converted?
Thomoszontour — Google review
It was an amazing experience, the staff were amazing, shoutout to our tour guide Deb for making it an unforgettable experience, I’d give them a 100 star rating if I could, I will definitely be going back to do it again and will be definitely going back and doing the blend your own rum experience
Ely A — Google review
Amazing drink prices! Very very fair tour cost of $30 and you get 2 drinks at the end. So only really looking at like $5 for the entire tour. The most expensive spirit there only sets you back $12 and a mango cocktail sushi was $15. If you like Bundy it is a must to go.
Jacob A — Google review
Great place to go & learn about the history aswell as taste test all the softdrinks. Kids really enjoyed it too.
Kell D — Google review
My friend and I joined the tour on a Friday and were pleasantly surprised by how fun it was. Amber and Sandy were both so cool and funny and they skillfully weaved in education with humour to keep our group laughing. Although we're both non-rum drinkers, we really enjoyed our tasting experience afterwards and spent even more time checking out the merchandise - they really have souvenirs for every type of person!

The Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery offers a diverse cultural experience in addition to the city's other attractions. The gallery features thought-provoking and visually stunning exhibitions, including 'Savour,' which encourages visitors to spend more time with each piece. Another exhibit, 'Invested,' showcases digital animation. The gallery also hosts an impressive exhibition of artwork by secondary students, showcasing remarkable talent and emotion.
Fantastic Art Exhibitions from Local and Interstate Artists. Wow. Current Exhibit by 'John Olsen' 'Aussie Icons and The Cosmos'. March 2017. Just Amazing! Displayed perfectly. Staff are very welcoming. Beautiful Old Building. Worth an Hours Look. Very Inspiring!
Paula F — Google review
Killing time in Bundaberg, I decided to go to the art gallery. As I entered I spoke to someone on reception who explained their were 3 exhibits on at present. Downstairs, there was a exhibit titled "Savour", which highlighted that mot people spend only 17 seconds at each piece, so they were encouraging you to savour each piece and I did exactly that. The pieces were thought provoking, beautiful, scary and weird. The second exhibit was a digital animation called "Invested", I sat and watched this 3 times. Upstairs was "in the shed", a collection of black and white photos of men and their sheds, with quotes from them. I spend over 1.5 hours in there and enjoyed every minute.
Jeannine B — Google review
Definitely a place you need to stop and check out. Rebecca (Gallery Director) has a keen eye and has curated some amazing exhibitions. Currently, they have a exhibition from secondary students and it was beyond. The talent and emotions in the pieces made it hard to believe the age of these artists. Truly astonishing. Aside from the art the staff are some of the friendliest I have met (especially Sandy). They not only know everything about gallery but also Bundaberg and the surrounding area. This knowledge really enriched our road trip. Yes, I did ask permission before I took the photos =D

Very beautiful Art Show highly recommend this place. And the ladies working in front desk amazingly helpful kudos to them. (Free entrance)

We went for the free kids crafts on a day visit in the summer holidays, which was great! A little table was laid out to help ourselves so we took our time colouring and enjoying the aircon and quiet. They also have a nice little nook for kids to do drawing in. Didn't look much at the art, there didn't seem to be lots. Then again, we didn't really go for that. Lovely stained glass window though :)
Hannah L — Google review
Completely exceeded expectations. Wonderful exhibition by Tom Moore. Moore is definitely more. Loved it!
Rachel S — Google review
We visited the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery to view the Ronald Hurley Exhibition, October 2023 This is a great venue with significant historical value in its own right We found the staff to be very friendly, welcoming and also quite knowledgeable of the exhibition pieces and artist The facilities are spotlessly clean, and, access is by stairs or a ramp - both from Barolin Street. On-street parking can be hard to find but there is a large off-street car park opposite on Quay Street. Be very careful crossing Quay Street, as it’s very busy and there’s no pedestrian crossing The gallery is a wonderful local resource, with a variety of exhibitions throughout the year 🏆

Nestled within a public park in Bundaberg West, Queensland, Australia, Alexandra Park Zoo is a charming and compact menagerie that has been captivating visitors since 1911. Despite its size, the zoo boasts an array of animal species including dingos, emus, snakes, birds, monkeys, and lizards. It offers an educational and entertaining experience for all ages.
What a wonderful surprise! This small zoo completely exceeded my expectations. While it may not be as large as city zoos, it more than makes up for it with charm, care, and a personal touch that bigger zoos often lack. The enclosures are clean, thoughtfully designed, and give visitors a great view of the animals without ever feeling invasive. I loved seeing unique species like the black cockatoos and emus — it’s clear the animals are well cared for and the staff are passionate about their wellbeing. One of the best parts? It’s completely free to enter! Perfect for families or anyone looking for a budget-friendly activity that’s both fun and educational. The surrounding park is beautiful too, with a shaded playground, picnic spots, and views of the river — great for making a full day out of your visit. Friendly staff, happy animals, and a relaxed atmosphere make this little zoo a must-visit if you’re in the area. A true local treasure!

A small zoo but free entry. I used to visit here when I was a boy (a long time ago), and my visit brought back very pleasant memories. The enclosures are well done, and the animals look happy & healthy. The keepers are very friendly and knowledgeable. Worth the visit.

Small zoo. Free and really fun for kids. They even have colouring pages and a booklet for children to interact with. Situated right next to a park. Great for a picnic. Near the river

A small but free zoo next to the children’s playground and adjacent park. Dingo walking is around 2PM, although this can change depending on weather, school visits, or their desire to go for a walk. There’s a few native Australia animals, and a good place to visit when nearby for 20 minutes or so!

Nestled within the scenic Bundaberg Botanic Gardens, the Fairymead House Sugar Museum stands as a testament to the rich history of the local sugar industry. Originally constructed in 1890 for the Young family, who were instrumental in establishing Fairymead Sugar Mill and Plantation, this charming bungalow has been lovingly preserved.
What a wonderful historical venue. Bundaberg is surrounded by history, living history. I couldn't stop taking pictures. Fairymead House is a crowning jewel and typical of Australian ingenuity and the strength of those indi viduals that built this country. If you're passing through this city, Bundaberg, Qld., make sure you stop and look. Fairymead House, located in the city Botanical Gardens.
John W — Google review
Situated in the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens this is a fabulous museum about the history of the sugar industry in and around Bundaberg. It originally was the sugar mills manger’s residence for Bundaberg Sugar and was carefully moved to this site. You have to enter via the top floor, which has all the rooms dedicated to the founding families of the area, with the ground floor all about sugar and how it is made. You will be surprised of how interesting sugar is and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Note, it is only open in the morning, so if visiting the gardens make this your first stop. A good hint is to get the museum pass which allows you to all the venues in the gardens at a much cheaper rate and all are very close together so you can easily walk between them.
Casandra T — Google review
As visitors to Australia we found this imposing Queensland plantation house interesting as was the small section on sugar cane farming. There was little to interest children however and the whole visit only lasts about 30 minutes. Don't go out of your way to visit but it's worth a quick exploration on the combined ticket with the Hinkler Aviation museum and Heritage centre. The botanic gardens provide its setting with its handy cafe nearby. Visiting times are restricted so you need to plan ahead.
Jocelyn T — Google review
A brilliant museum showing the history of the sugar industry in and around Bundaberg Many individual rooms dedicated to various aspects of the industry and the life of the cane cutting community
Graeme F — Google review
Loved the history and the story of the Homestead. Don't miss the museum under the house.
Roger W — Google review
Beautiful place. Calm serene and the house has a loved feeling. There is a lift if you can't manage the stairs. Fascinating background to the families that owned the house plus other families who started businesses relating to the sugar industry.
Cordelia A — Google review
3 kiwi brothers who wanted to 'try something different...sugar' have built a wonderful Homestead. A wonderful example of the Queenslander style of housing. The museum about sugar is informative. 3 Italians and 2 Toft brothers played big roles in Bundy sugar. Thanks for nothing Cane Toads, a good recap of the original purpose and disastrous consequences. Located in the Botanical Gardens with access through walking the park, or car parking at the front of the House. Good work to the community of Bundy for relocating the House for people to appreciate.
Mark M — Google review
This old house is a wonderful specimen, however some of the rooms were not set as what they used to be. A lift has been installed and even though true historians may lose their breath in a sudden cry of anguish, this has allowed many more people to see this home and is tastefully hidden. Some artefacts are very interesting and it also encompasses other families who contributed so much to the sugar industry. For Seniors' week, we were provided with tea/coffee and cake that we took pleasure in eating on that wonderful verandah. One could dream of such a house in India and sitting there in the Australian sun as the cane burned. There was a shirt replica that one of the men wore whilst working in the fields - they were tough in those days.

Hinkler House, a museum located in the Botanic Gardens, is a charming cottage that served as the home of aviation pioneer Bert Hinkler from 1926 until his passing in 1933. The house was meticulously restored and relocated to Bundy in 1983, where it was transformed into a memorial museum. Visitors can purchase tickets at the Aviation Museum nearby to explore this well-preserved space filled with unique exhibits and quirky UK memorabilia.
Nice little early English house relocated here and opened in 1984 Bert Hinkler lived in. Great addition to the tour Hinkler Hall of Aviation.

This is a very cool little place to check out. You get entry with the ticket to the aviation museum (of which has a cool little model of the house in it!) Lots of history here and such a story about how the house ended up in the Bundaberg gardens!

This is the original house of legendary aviator Bert Hinkler ‘Mon Repos’. It was beautifully moved and restored from Southampton UK to be part of the Hinkler Hall of Aviation. The rooms are decorated from the period and is an amazing time capsule full of photos and history. Definitely worth visiting.
Casandra T — Google review
Hinkler House showcases Hinkler’s personal belongings, photographs, and artifacts related to his aviation career, celebrating the legacy of this pioneering aviator. Visitors can explore his life, his daring flying adventures, and his significant contributions to the aviation industry.
Joe Z — Google review
A cute little house which you can enter with a ticket purchased from the Aviation museum across the lawn. It’s amazing how early pioneers brought those homes brick by brick from England to Australia. It’s small and well posted with information about each room, although some of the signs are a bit far away to read without glasses.
Carl H — Google review
Well worth a visit after going though the Hinkley museum
Mike W — Google review
A quick look inside the house itself is worthwhile for a glimpse into Bert Hinkler's home life in 1920s England; however it is not as interesting inside as it used to be as the Hinkler memorabilia is now all in the excellent Hall of Aviation next door.

Had a lovely coffee with a scone with strawberry jam and cream. I sat outside and the view was great. Overlooked the lake and manicured gardens. A walk around the lake is a must.

Very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The staff was unwelcoming and seemed more interested in treating customers like walking wallets than providing any real service. the coffee was average and asked money for a glass of hot water. I won’t be returning. Would not recommend.

Nice clean little Cafe. After walking around the Botanical Gardens it was nice to come back for a cold drink and cake Choice of sandwiches and toasted sandwiches was really nice. The have hot and cold dishes. Lovely atmosphere with heaps of tables and chairs

Situated within the Bundaberg Botanical Gardens, this is a great cafe if you’re feeling hungry or thirsty. We tried the Greek lamb pocket that was full of flavour, nachos and the crumbed calamari which was so tender. The prices are reasonable and there is plenty of seating both inside and out.
Casandra T — Google review
Clean, tidy, and with plenty of room — a lovely spot to return to after a warm walk outside. The inside could use a bit more lighting; when the clouds rolled in, it felt quite dark. The space has a “giant canteen” feel and was a bit bare and open, but it delivers exactly what you’d want after spending time in the gardens. The food isn’t gourmet — it’s simple and homely. I had a hot chocolate that had the potential to be really nice but needed more chocolate; for a child, it would have been perfect, but it was so light in colour and was milky not sure if this is just how they make them. I ordered the BLT & chips , which was tasty and I ate all of it. It felt like a meal I would make at home — it had a comforting, “mother’s touch” to it, which I enjoyed. Overall, it’s a nice place to pop into after finishing up at the gardens.

This is a nice little place tucked in the Botanical gardens, seems pretty popular especially weekend time so there was a bit of a wait time on food. No complaints though the food was good and didn't suffer on quality even though it was rather busy at the time which is often a shortcoming with many establishments. Very family friendly environment great place to take the kids for a nice little outing .
DMT 3 — Google review
A bright and airy restaurant. The menu was a fairly regular selection, including options for kids. Fantastic views over the gardens and waterways. We sat on the outside deck area and were also able to watch the stream train go past. (Worth a ride after lunch too!)The birds are super friendly picking up the scraps. Lovely friendly service from the staff. I will definitely visit again next time I'm in Bundaberg.

Ok, not so great place. The soft serve was good. Coffee was extremely hot and not great. Tried the nachos was just average and not particularly great. Lots of place to sit and eat , but slow in cleaning up the tables (at least when we went). Since this is the only place around the attractions you are bound to go there though 😀service was good.

Specialty Museums
The Bundaberg Railway Museum, located in the Northside, is a must-see attraction for tourists. The original Railway Station, constructed in 1881, now houses the museum which celebrates its 140th birthday in 2021. The museum showcases the region's rail history and its significance as a lifeline for transportation of raw materials to nearby Mount Perry.
Had the loveliest time browsing through this small yet underrated volunteer-run museum. Shoutout to Jim for being such a helpful and informative guide that made the experience so meaningful. We were lucky enough to catch a tilt train passing by as well. Pleasantly surprised to find some vintage postcards sold here as well, which made great souvenirs. Hoping that this place gets more visitors and support to keep railway history alive!
Lim C — Google review
Visited for the first time and loved it. Jim (I think that was his name) really made it even more enjoyable as he shared his love for the place and his knowledge with us. If you in the area check it out.
Robyn S — Google review
Great small museum hidden away from the main roads. Good to some some train history. Not very busy at all, which is good because the museum is pretty small. Great place to go with kids who like trains. It won't take very long. Good as a pit stop between looking at other sites.
Howard F — Google review
Excellent train museum with some fascinating exhibits. The volunteers are very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you are even slightly interested in trains. The entrance fee is very reasonable considering they get no government funding - not even Queensland Rail helps them out.
Simon T — Google review
Note it was a challenge to find signing is not obvious but that makes it a hidden gem. I live on a tourist steam train line and I must admit I'm a big fan. Rail in the area was an important lifeline and as the manufacturing of trains returns to the region this museum remembers its roots. We were lucky to have a introduction by an informative volunteer and after giving us a ticket stamped with the original ticket machine he told us about the museum where to what and most importantly what the kids could interact with. We stayed for easily 2hours.
Michelle H — Google review
Small museum, history of the railway station, some artifacts and photos to check out, reasonable price, staff are very courteous and helpful, amenities are kept clean, recommend this museum.

Local history museum
The Bundaberg & District Historical Museum, located within the Fairymead House Sugar Museum in the Botanic Gardens, offers a fascinating insight into the local cultural heritage. The museum showcases historical artifacts from past local businesses and schools, covering various farming industries, early medical and town history. Visitors can explore exhibits on first nation history, early Chinese and Islander workers, as well as sporting stars. The museum also features a wide variety of memorabilia including yesteryear furniture and home equipment.
From toys to war stories and many interesting things in-between, you will that variety, really is the spice of life, right here. Choc full of curiosities and well worth checking out.
Coffee T — Google review
Situated in the Bundaberg Botanical Gardens, this is a fascinating historical museum. It may look a little cluttered when you walk in, but every section is dedicated to different professions or different parts of the house. Take your time and really do look around, there are some gems in there and it really does take you down memory lane of visiting grandparents and what they had in their house. A hint is to buy the Museum pass as it covers all of the venues in the garden at a reduced price.
Casandra T — Google review
It's a Historical Museum. It's worthy, but is little bit small and not displayed well. It was pretty different than I expected.
Shinoh K — Google review
One of the best preserved displays we have encountered in regional areas.
Peter G — Google review
This is a great museum with such a wide variety of memoribilia. It covers the district's various farming industries, as well as early medical and town history. There is some information on first nation history, the early Chinese and Islander workers, along with various sporting stars. Fantastic examples of yesteryear furniture and home equipment, and other pieces too numerous to mention. We regularly visit town historical museums when we travel and this is one of the best we have seen.
Jj H — Google review
Compared to other museums our there, this one was sad. You also had to pay crazy prices to see objects covered in an inch of dust. There was no information to read and it was very jumbled. Very grumpy indeed! * No photography * No touching anything P.S........"DON'T TOUCH IT!"

Nestled within a sprawling 67-acre subtropical botanic park, the Japanese Gardens offer a serene escape for nature lovers and tranquility seekers alike. This beautifully landscaped area is designed to reflect traditional Japanese aesthetics, featuring meandering paths adorned with symbolic plants and stunning water features. A highlight of the garden is undoubtedly the Cherry Blossom tree, which bursts into vibrant pink blooms during early December, creating a picturesque scene that captivates visitors.
Spectacular and beautifully arranged, this walk was one of my favourites for sure and the fact we have a sister city donating an exhibit in the garden is fantastic. A true credit to the teams of people dedicated to bringing such a beautiful display for the public to enjoy. We will be back for sure.

The Japanese gardens is a beautiful garden to relax in and is well layed out for most people to walk around. The sculptures within this garden were donated from Japan and the plants which are around the meandering paths are symbolic to Japanese gardens. The main focal flowering tree, the Cherry Blossom, is blooming this time of the year with its pink follage. It is worth the time to stop and enjoy the this tranquil garden.

We recently stayed at Splitters Farm and absolutely loved it! The camping facilities were clean and well maintained, with plenty of space and beautiful surroundings. The animals were a huge hit with our child (and adults!). Staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. It’s a peaceful spot to relax but with enough to keep everyone entertained. Highly recommend for families or anyone wanting a genuine farm camping experience. Can’t wait to come back!
Crystal E — Google review
We recently stayed in our caravan at Splitter's Farm. It was amazing. The grounds are maintained to a very high standard. The amenities are spotless. The camp kitchen is one of the best we've seen. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Each site comes with its own fire pit which was great for chilly evenings. Being able to wander around to see the animals was amazing especially for an animal nut like me. They have goats, sheep, llamas, horses, pigs, camels, geese, chickens, pheasants, to name a few. It was an amazing stay and we left feeling very refreshed and determined that we will visit again.
Julie K — Google review
Amazing place for kids and families. We stayed in their luxury glamping rooms. Beautiful, gorgeous and such great spaces. Absolutely loved our experience here. The farm tours, damper workshop, bingo afternoon and go karting is super fun! Kids love to feed animals there. The whole farm space is very comfortable and easily accessible. We even got to watch some dvds of Movies in our room. The owners and staff ensures everyone have a wonderful time here. Its definitely a haven for kids, lots to do, swim in the creek, run around, interact with nature. They also have kayaking etc in the creek. Its a must to visit place! Thanks to everyone at Splitters farm for making this place so special. Oh and our favourite peacocks 🦚 on the farm too!

We recently Glamped for two nights at Splitters Farm and absolutely loved it! The property is well maintained, with plenty of space and beautiful surroundings. The animals were a huge hit with the kids and adults. Staff were very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. It’s a peaceful spot to relax but with enough to keep everyone entertained. Highly recommend for families or anyone wanting a genuine farm experience. We cant wait for our next visit!

We stayed on a powered site for one night and had a fab time! The site was great and the amenities were clean, modern and accessible. The kids loved meeting and feeding all the animals, swimming in the dam and the outdoor movie night was fun! The only downside was that there was a fire ban in the region so we never got to utilise the fire pits and toast marshmallows. We would definitely recommend and will be back for sure !
Danielle M — Google review
Absolutely AMAZING for kids, adults and adults who act like kids. This was the perfect holiday for our family. We are already looking to book again! Make sure to hire a kayak/canoe for an adventure down the river. The amenities block is very well looked after and cleaned multiple times during the day. We are super impressed and had an incredible time. The pizza night, fish n chips and food van were an incredible luxury addition.
Tamara H — Google review
Best holiday ever - absolutely perfect for kids and adults who love animals or just want to chill. The staff are amazing - there’s a lot of work keeping the farm going and feeding all the animals - and they are friendly, knowledgeable and kind even with all the wonderful work they do. The camp kitchen and amenities are impeccably maintained and super family friendly - great wifi too. We stayed 4 nights and were never at a loss for things to do - from visiting the many animals to visiting the creek and little lake - we easily did more than 10000 steps every day. Travis the goat (and the staff) made us feel right at home - with lots of visits from Travis and the peacocks that put on a great show. Loved every minute of this holiday.
Sonya M — Google review
We stayed at Splitters Farm for 5 nights and really enjoyed it. The farm is only about 15 mins from Bundaberg so made it very easy for us to do day trips to check out other attractions. There is food left to feed the animals throughout the day for free and it's great to see the birds walking freely throughout the park. We stayed in a powered camp site and had no issues with anything

Nature & Parks
Baldwin Swamp Environment Park is an urban park that boasts a protected wetlands and rainforest habitat, complete with walking tracks and boardwalks for visitors to enjoy. The park offers beautiful wildlife sightings, including ducks, swans, and other creatures. It also features a Bush Chapel and Shelter Shed for functions. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the location of toilets in the park as it creates opportunities for criminals.
Such a beautiful part of Bundaberg. Love visiting here and going for walks. If your a person who like spending time in nature, I highly recommend you visit here to experience how amazing it is.
Michael C — Google review
A pretty walk around the few lakes, and a great place to view hundreds of bats across the bridges to the small inlands. Dogs allowed on leash, and you’ll need to be careful of both snakes and the floor temperature with the dogs (not many people were aware just how hot the floor can get unfortunately!). Limited shade on the walk, but good nonetheless!
Kerbray — Google review
Only one area with tables, which is at the toilets [with a large undercover area], unless you go over to the playground on the other side .. some lovely walks though, with lots of bird life around the water, and plenty of water to have bird life!
