Fun little place to visit when you come to Germany. There are a variety of shops to check out, as well as places to grab a bite to eat. I would recommend you go early in the day to find nearby street parking.

It's a lovely place, made up of narrow streets and small shops. You can get lost in the narrow streets and find interesting shops along the way. It's a wonderful walking route. You can relax and soak up the atmosphere by sitting and sipping something in the surrounding cafes. It's a wonderful place.

We absolutely loved exploring the Schnoor district in Bremen. It's a truly enchanting and picturesque neighborhood that feels like you've stepped back in time. Wandering through the narrow, cobblestone lanes lined with tiny, historic houses is a magical experience. The area is filled with unique boutiques, artisan workshops, and cozy cafés, each housed in a building with its own character. The atmosphere is lively yet intimate, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll, shopping for unique souvenirs, or simply soaking in the fairytale-like ambiance. It's the heart and soul of old Bremen and an absolute must-see for any visitor. We highly recommend taking your time to explore every little alley.

If there was a German Harry Potter, then it would be filmed in Bremen. The Schnoor district is Bremen’s oldest and most charming neighborhood, with winding alleyways and beautifully preserved half-timbered houses dating back to the 15th–18th centuries. Worth visiting 🙌🏼

When you are in Bremen… definitely visit Schnoor. The area here is not so big but so cute with the little streets, restaurants and shops. Adorable! 🥰 So don’t skip this part of Bremen!!!!

Bremen is a nice town. Interesting story around the musicians. Do not miss the church, the traditional stores including their famous chocolate, the candy making store, the narrowest street in germany as well as the manhole in the main square where you can listen to the animals for a coin. Hello, I'm not the best storyteller and photographer, but if you're interested!! The city is beautiful and full of surprises. You just have to see the charm that Bremen can show and give. As one of!!! the most beautiful cities in Germany. I'm happy that I saw with my own eyes what you can see there. Yes, and a little bit of what I saw.

No visit to Bremen is complete without seeing the famous Town Musicians statue. This beloved bronze monument, depicting the donkey, dog, cat, and rooster from the Brothers Grimm fairytale, is as charming in person as you'd hope. It's become a wonderful tradition for visitors to make a wish while holding the donkey's front legs. You'll see the shiny, worn bronze from countless wishes made there. The statue is smaller than some expect. It's nestled in a perfect spot right next to the stunning Town Hall. Be prepared to wait a moment for your turn to take a photo, as it's deservedly one of the city's most popular attractions. A truly must see piece of art.

Bremen – A City of Character and Quiet Charm I found Bremen to be a city full of understated beauty. Its historic center, with landmarks like the Town Hall and the Roland statue, speaks to its rich past, while quiet streets and riverside paths offer a peaceful atmosphere. The Bremen Town Musicians statue adds a whimsical touch, especially for those who appreciate folklore. It’s not a loud or flashy destination, but if you enjoy history, culture, and a slower pace, Bremen is well worth a visit.

This is a must see statue depicting the most famous chapter of the story where the animal musicians scare away the robbers by creating a scary and noisy creature. It is best to (re-)read the short story first to get a better feel for the statue. We went before 8am and we were the only one there. It was peaceful and we had good morning light. We went later in the day as our traveling mascot, Pedals Puffin, wanted to see if he could join the musicians but alas he didn’t fit in the lineup. We had to wait in turn to get his photo opportunity.

We, too, have formed alliances, often out of necessity, with those who share our dreams of self-determination. The vision of a free Kurdistan, a "Bremen" where our culture, language, and identity can flourish without threat, continues to drive us. The Bremen Town Musicians found their home not in the city they set out for, but in a place they claimed through collective action. This reminds me that for the Kurdish people, true liberation might not be a pre-ordained destination, but a space forged through our continued struggle, our unity, and our refusal to be silenced. Like those musicians, we continue to sing our song, a testament to our enduring spirit against all odds.

Magnificently artistic! Bremen Town Hall (Bremer Rathaus) is one of the most beautiful examples of brick Gothic and Weser Renaissance in Europe and has rightly been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2004. Around 1400, when Bremen's development was at its peak, a new town hall was planned on the initiative of mayor Johan Hemeling and councillors Friedrich Wigger and Hinrich von der Trupe. Between 1405 and 1410, a Gothic "Saalgeschossbau" (hall building) was built on the northeast side of Bremen's Marktplatz, right in front of the archbishop's palace. A clear demonstration of the city's self-confidence in relation to ecclesiastical authority. The lavishly decorated façade of the town hall features statues of Charlemagne and the seven prince-electors, demonstrating Bremen's claim to being a free imperial city. The Renaissance brought several modifications: between 1545 and 1550 an extension with three floors, containing a new Wittheits-Stube and offices, was built between the town hall and the archbishop's palace. In 1595-1596 the front façade was modified for the first time: the Gothic windows with their typical pointed arches were replaced by large rectangular windows. Between 1608 and 1612, during the second modification, the front façade was given its Weserrenaissance appearance: the two middle windows and the proclamation door were replaced by a huge avant-corps (a facade extension) crowned with a Flemish gable. The baroque extension from 1682/83 is best visible on the corner where the statue of the Bremer Stadtmusikanten stands. With the German mediatisation of 1803 the archbishop's palace fell to the municipality of Bremen, and in 1818/19 it was partly dismantled and rebuilt as a neoclassical "Stadthaus" (municipal city hall). The enormous population growth in the 19th century and Wilhelminism made it necessary to enlarge the town hall. Thus the "Stadthaus" was demolished and between 1919 and 1913 the "Neues Rathaus" was built, a neo-Renaissance creation by the architect Gabriel von Seidl. All in all, Bremen today has a magnificent building complex that is not only very beautiful, but also represents the centuries-long development of civil autonomy in the Holy Roman Empire.

The inside of the Rathaus is pretty nice, however, you can only enter with a guided tour, and there is no tour for foreigners, only in German, which is unfortunate

Such a beautiful and old town hall. Inside and out, this building is just amazing.  The entry fee is €9 per person. The English tour starts at 12 p.m on Monday (not sure about other days), and the tour guide is very knowledgeable and friendly. If you're visiting Bremen, then you should also visit Bremen Town Hall. You won't regret it.

Our guide spoke perfect English and explained the history with many funny and interesting stories. The magic was that the building was not damaged during WW2 and has wonderfully intricate plaster, wood work and tiles..

Huge and beautiful. Last time I had seen it only form the outside; and it looks amazing in the night light. This time we were able to explore the inside. The windows are tainted with beautiful lively paintings. The Chandeliers hanging from the high ceiling just adds more to the overall beauty. They do have a huge organ. The pulpit is really beautiful with all those sculptures carved out of the wood. Overall it is impressive.

The church is magnificent - both outside and inside. But what I liked most was the corner with children's toys! You don't see that often! Our little one was busy with the toys and let the adults have a good look around.

A stunning example of medieval architecture! 🏛️📐 ​St. Petri Dom is a masterpiece of design, blending heavy Romanesque pillars with soaring Gothic vaulted ceilings. The interior design is amazing, especially the painted arches and the intricate stone masonry. ​The transition from rounded arches to pointed Gothic windows is clearly visible on the facade. ​It’s a quiet, impressive space to admire the craftsmanship of the past. Highly recommended for the engineering and history alone!

St. Peter’s Church (Peterskirche) in Munich is a spectacular landmark, especially known for its stunning interior in Baroque style. The intricate details, towering ceilings, and beautiful artworks create an unforgettable atmosphere that is definitely worth experiencing. Entry to the church is free, making it an accessible and rewarding stop for anyone visiting the city. However, climbing the tower is a different story. While it costs €4 per adult and €2 per child, the experience doesn’t quite live up to expectations. The ascent involves 265 spiral steps—a good workout, no doubt—but the panoramic view from the top is severely compromised by an unsightly metal mesh. This dense grid makes it nearly impossible to take good photos of the city, which is a big letdown. In an age where resistant glass or less intrusive barriers are available, the current setup feels outdated and frustrating. In short, unless you’re climbing the tower purely for exercise, it’s probably not worth it. The church’s interior is absolutely worth a visit, but the tower climb might leave you disappointed—especially if you’re hoping to capture those perfect panoramic shots of Munich.

Beautiful gothic cathedral in the centre of Bremen. The area is very touristy but it can be quite peaceful inside the cathedral. Entrance is free and there are often choir performances going on.

The museum is free entrance and worth the visit. Very impressed with how the tourism is so well organised in Bremen. Kudos to the planners.

Entertaining if you are a young restless kid. Interesting if you are a child carer or if like me, didn't pay too much attention at your science classes. Unfortunately a number of installations were out of order.

This is a whole day visit activity. We didn’t even get to see all the permanent exhibit space in the two hours we were there, let alone the exhibition space or the outdoor activities. Great activities for everyone, not just kids, lots of older individuals and couple as well as teenagers and families. Staff were great and there are roving Scouts helping visitors understand the science.

This place is amazing to visit with children. Too many experiments to explore and it’s also a great way for kids to understand the basics of physics and enjoy whilst trying and have fun as well. It’s definitely a must-go place in Bremen.

This museum was the highlight of our trip. If you're a geek or have an insatiable curiosity for all aspects of life, particularly nature, the human body, and technology, then you're bound to adore this place. It's an interactive museum where you can experiment with your own hands, delving into the realms of physics and scientific laws. We felt like kids again, rediscovering the world as if it were our first time.

It was the first time visiting this kind of science museums .. I was very very happy with every moment I discovered something new there.. Incredible and unbelievably interesting technological and informative ideas ... Full of colorful details.. it is absolutely one of the best places you can visit with your kids to improve their intelligence and interests about everything there !! It is much more better than playing games on tablets or watching videos on YouTube !! Me as an adult I was very curious about everything and kept asking my friend what is this and what is that :D .... Yeah I enjoyed a lot .. that's why I'm sure children and teens will do also :)) ♡ Highly recommended!!!!

Must visit when you are visiting Bremen. My most favourite part of Bremen’s old city center. The beautiful red bricks buildings and sculptures resembles those Flemish architectural style. A small street which takes you back in the history. Very charming and peaceful for the time being; when you are in this street. It can be crowded depending on which part of the day you are visiting. I have been here twice; and the second visit was better with less crowd.

This street was really cool. Felt like I stepped back in time. Has some unique shops along the way as well. Worth a stop when you’re in town.

The only negative comment is the lack of parking space. Parking on the street is chancy. Reserving a table is a must.

We had a very nice dinner herein The beer garden. The beer battered fish and potato salad were delicious but save room for the apple strudel. Service was good but seeing staff sitting together for a smoke break in front of customers was a bit uncomfortable.

We took an early dinner at the mill to catch the train back to Hamburg. A bit sad that the 2nd level is closed off. A bit of miscommunication here and there; corona became kola. Food was okay but nothing to be amazed at. With such a great location, things could have been better.

I went for Sunday brunch, but I think I won't come back again for it. Coffee or hot drinks are not included on the brunch buffet (nobody warned me previously about it and I did not see it writen anywhere). No hot drinks refill option. No pastry options (no cakes, no cookies, no croissants). If you arrive later than 10:45 you won't find some of the plates since they are not refilled. Nice staff, but who attended me did not speak English.

I’ve always wanted to try this place because the location seems great. It seems in the establishment you mostly pay for the location because the food price/quality wasn’t on par with what i was expection. We’ve ordered the mulle spritz, lillet wild berry, mulle labskaus and the shnitzel. Let’s just say for the price of 93 euros in total this wasn’t worth it. I have eaten better shnitzel and better labskaus around bremen for a lot less money. The presentation was really nice. So all in all i would say you pay for the location and for the presentation but not the taste of the food. The service people were friendly and the atmosphere was cozy.

I enjoyed visiting Bremen. This is an old Hanseatic City very famous in Germany. I strongly recommend visiting this amazing place.

We visited Bremen on our recent cruise, we stopped off at the port of Bremerhaven and got a train in. The old part of the city was incredible, even in a grey cold winters day. The Bremen Roland stood tall in the main square. Picturesque buildings surrounding it.

This is a beautiful part of the city to experience as it has such incredible architecture. There is a real still feeling hear and all you can do is admire the many great works . You can spend a good few hours looking at this section of the city in detail and enjoy a nice meal in some of the many restaurants and cafes.

A decent museum of some cultures and religions of the world. The exhibition is recently and very well made, the building is beautiful. At 4 pm an evening ticket costs 7.50€. There is a restaurant attached, open till 9pm. Unfortunately the museum closes at 5pm.

The museum meanders through cultures throughout the world and illustrates them with relatively small exhibits. I enjoyed the bite-sized tour trough the world's various cultures. It is also nice not to take a deep dive sometimes. Here it is just numerous interesting dips of the toe.

We spent a total of five hours exploring the museum. We took a short break at the museum’s restaurant. The food was delicious and provided a much-needed rest before we continued our exploration. Leaving the museum was difficult because there was so much more to see and learn.⭐️

Overseas museum is the museum, that should be visited for everyone, especially children. The exhibition includes very good exhibits from all over the world. The museum is about different cultures. There are also fishes and animals of different regions of the world. I really enjoyed the part of exhibition devoted to the religions of the world. Very interesting part of museum - about the people from all over the world who moved to Germany. This museum helps people to became more open-minded (at least, I hope so)

It is a small but very nice museum with one minute walking distance from Bremen main train station. There is an Antarctic exhibition on the show at the moment to April. It is also really good for kids. If you happen to be in Bremen you should never miss this museum ;)

A peaceful and stunning escape in Bremen! Rhododendron Park is an absolute gem. The variety of flowers—especially the rhododendrons and azaleas—are simply breathtaking, and the whole park feels like a living painting, especially in spring. It’s beautifully maintained, with peaceful walking paths, small lakes, and quiet corners perfect for relaxing or reading a book.

this museum is worth your visit. It’s about an hour and a half to two hours the most the walk-through they have some permanent exhibit and the first floor has some really interesting exhibits. Unfortunately, most of the first floor did not have English subtitles like the rest of it so that was a little harder for me to really get what I wanted out of it. A splendid museum with an exceptional collection. The main ground floor was excessively crowded, maybe because it was a weekend. I had the privilege of admiring works by Van Gogh, Monet, Cezanne, and Picasso. The collection on display from the 14th century to the present day, predominantly featuring West European art. In terms of management, they can improve the waiting time at the wardrobe. The waiting line was until outside. Also buying the ticket took longer then expected, only one person selling tickets for all the guests.

Spent about 3 hours here. A total delight to senses. I read every single story about the painters and artists from 16th century uptil 20th century. How the perceptions and actions of ancestors evolved around art, women, poverty, breastfeeding, economy, love, forests, mythology, religion, god, and so on. Tales around critics, travellers, craftsmen, businesses. I am a sucker of history. This fueled my soul with much needed dose of intellect. Guided tours were available. I went on my own. Ticket was priced at 10 EUR for adults. It was open on a Sunday.

Surprisingly one of the best art museums that I've been to - and i had never heard of it before going there on a whim. Not just a beautiful collection that was interestingly presented, but also the curators have made the art pieces much more accessible than most other museums do by adding very interesting texts to many of it's pieces. the text went deeper than regular such text without being too long. Loved that! The personell were also very nice and helpful. They had a nice shop and lockers you could place tour bag in. The lockers costed 2 Euros (that you got back when opening) - i didn't have any euros on me so the personell lended me a coin in exchange for an id that was returned when I left. So nice!

I was here attending the exhibition named Icons. It was very good in fact. Many beautiful exhibits, some of them are very famous in fact, they are definitely worth to be seen. I really enjoyed it. The main exhibition is closed now, I think until May 2020. There is a cafe and shop inside. In the shop there are many different books about art, but the most of them are in German language.
