Banquet hall
The Bremen Ratskeller is a historic cellar located on the western side of the town hall, dating back to 1409. It is renowned as the oldest wine cellar in Germany and boasts a collection of 1,200 exquisite German wines. The vaulted hall has welcomed many famous figures and inspired literary works. Visitors can enjoy classic northern German meat and fish dishes in this centuries-old setting with vaulted ceilings.
Amazing food and beautifully designed restaurant! The staff was friendly, though the service was a bit confusing with our orders—possibly because we were a group of 14. If you need a large table, make sure to mention it when reserving, as they don’t have a table for 14; we had to connect two tables ourselves. The ambiance is stunning, with details that go beyond beautiful. Highly recommend!

we were out with a greeter, which is someone that lives here in the city and takes people around to show them their sites and one of the siteswas this restaurant. She said we would really enjoy it and we went and did enjoy it. The waiter that started with us definitely could speak English, which I was very happy but two or three other people help with the serving in the cleaning and the bill not one only so there’s not much I can say we got in and out without any issues We had one of these little alcove rooms. The food was good. I had the hack the potatoes and vegetables that came with. It was delicious. and we also had the goulash and tomato soup. The atmosphere was really interesting. One of the things that made me smile they had a computerized robot running around with the silverware and dishes. It just seems so out of place in this ancient old wine cellar with this modern computerized somewhat like a butler, but I enjoyed the whole atmosphere and if you’re in the area, I would definitely give it a try menus are in German and English

Vaults of Vintage Vines and Timeless Tales! Fresh from our square-side lunch at Jon Benton's—still buzzing from that Knipp revelation—we couldn't resist capping off our Bremen whirlwind with the wine tour at Bremer Ratskeller. Tucked beneath the restaurant and the very heartbeat of the Marktplatz (right alongside those mischievous Town Musicians statues), this wasn't just a tasting; it was a three-hour plunge into a subterranean wonderland of history and hallowed hooch that left us tipsy on stories as much as sips. Our guide, Guido, was the unsung hero— not only incredibly knowledgeable about every oak-aged nuance and medieval murmur, but a saint with saintly patience for our broken German stutters. He pivoted seamlessly to English explanations, painting vivid pictures of Bremen's boozy past with the flair of a storyteller who'd lived it. We meandered through expansive, vaulted cellars that felt like stepping into a Gothic novel—cool stone arches whispering of feasts for burghers and bishops, the air thick with the earthy perfume of centuries-spent barrels. Five glasses of fine German wines punctuated the journey like plot twists: crisp Rieslings that danced on the tongue, bold Spätburgunders with silken depth, each pour a toast to regions we'd yet to conquer. But the grand finale? A descent into the most special "vault" imaginable, home to the oldest known 1,000-liter keg—dated smack to 1653, its weathered oak a time capsule of resilience and revelry. Touching that relic, feeling the history pulse through the wood... it was palpable, profound, like brushing elbows with ghosts of grape-crushing glory. Well worth every minute (and euro)—this tour elevates a casual cellar crawl into an epic. If you're in Bremen, swap the souvenir shop for this subterranean saga; Guido's got the keys, and the vibes are eternal. Prost to the past—we're forever fermented fans!

A nice restaurant located inside an old wine cellar, it is in the center of the old city of Bremen and has reasonable prices seeing as it is right next to the Dom. The food here was great, I loved the Schweine and Rind braten. I dont think I have had such a good braten in a while. The service was good as well, friendly servers, they had a robot that takes dirty plates to the kitchen. The atmosphere was great too, they have old massive beer barrels. They even have booths with art on the walls, but i believe you need to ask specially to get it. It is a good choice if you are in the center and want to eat lunch as there weren't a whole lot of people. I do recommend. -Roberts Kalejs

Great atmostphere! We were lucky enough to get a reservation here. (Tip: If nothing is available online, stop by in person.) We had our own private room/booth off to the side. The cellar is beautiful. Food is good as was the service. We had the duck and meatballs all washed down with a bottle of their cabernet sauvignon. Very fortunate to have had the opportunity to experience this fine restaurant!
Rob C — Google review
Ate here on 22May25. The hostess was really rude to us for some reason when we arrived to confirm our reservation. Dismissive and even slammed the menus on the table when we finally sat down. This really puts a sour note on what was pretty subpar food, small/bland portions. I guess the old wine cellar look is kind of cool, but looking at the pictures is enough for that. 2/5 there are many better restaurants within a 5 minute walk of this place. Try Katzen Café for a romantic evening or any other place to avoid your party being mistreated.

Schüttinger Gasthausbrauerei is a lively brewery in the heart of Bremen, offering an authentic experience of local cuisine and craft beer. The rustic atmosphere with long wooden benches provides the perfect setting for enjoying traditional dishes like schnitzels, currywurst, and herring fillets. This oldest brew-pub in Bremen serves only two types of beer - light and dark - both with an unmistakable taste.
We had a nice experience in the first day of your adventure to Denmark , we start from Aden Haag and were looking for a cuisine restaurant. With Germany’s food, found it🩷
Sareh N — Google review
Nice restaurant in Bremen. Solid house beer and traditional German food. I am hoping that the waitress was in training, because it was very poor service. They did not check in on us and seemed very confused on how to deal with payment at the end splitting a bill. Good food and atmosphere, poor service.
Kodi H — Google review
We found out that Schüttinger is one of the oldest beer houses in Bremen, so we wanted to try their own beers while we were here. We tried both the blonde and the red — both were good, but my favorite was the red. Luckily, we caught happy hour, so we only paid €3 per glass — unbelievable!
İrem A — Google review
Beer was good, service as well especially a Hindu lady, Unfortunately we were offered a very noisy room and managers were reluctant to our request to find other table. Swine haxe was just aceptable, meet was hard and dry, do not recommend it. Schnitzel was better but nothing extraordinery, just OK.
Emil E — Google review
Good food. But the pre-fabricated "rösti" are not very interesting. Large portions. Fast service. Reasonable prices. More different beers would be good.
Jonas H — Google review
Authentic Bremen restaurant with great local and German dishes. A great variety of menu. Food portions are huge and good for people with who wants to eat single meal for day. Ambience is standard and staff is friendly. Nothing to complain but May be food quality could be improved.
Praveen K — Google review
We went there without reservations but they still entertained us. I ordered pork knuckle and shared it with 2 persons because it has a very big serving. I also liked the mushroom soup that we order. My husband ordered schnitzel and he also liked it. This is our best dining experience in bremen. We will definitely return!!!

A must do in Bremen - a cute and cozy tea Cafe that has a great selection of tea and cakes on offer. The place does get full so rather book during busy periods.

We had to wait 20 minutes for the the food to arrive but it was simply delicious and worth the wait. We had the Rosentee and Granatapfeltee as well as the Bremer and Bremerin breakfast.

We stopped by this lovely tea house in Bremen, and it was such a delightful experience. Their scones are honestly from another world — freshly baked, soft, and absolutely delicious. The whole atmosphere was calm and cozy, perfect for a relaxing break. I’d definitely recommend visiting if you’re in Bremen!
Mariam M — Google review
We stopped by to rest a bit and enjoyed our late morning coffee on a terrace. We went with their house brews supplied by local roasters and got a cream tea cake on a side. All was great. They serve those coffees in a pot, which was handy outside, since it stayed warn and allowed us to enjoy the atmosphere for a longer time period. We especially liked a service there, despite being all full inside, guys served us very quickly outside as well, were friendly and spoke well English. It was a pleasure to be there.
Maxim M — Google review
Service was polite but slow. The food was AMAZING! Highly recommend the scones🥹🫶🏻
Nihan D — Google review
Unbelievably delicious food! I know this might sound silly but their croissants are out of this world! I love every bit about this place, I get it some reviews did not like how they were welcomed initially but that is somewhat expected from a place that is really busy! it's a multi story restaurant that is apparently always packed with customers, we came and asked for a table for 5 or so and we were fine with waiting, we waited for around 10 minutes and once our table was ready we were welcomed properly. I totally recommend visiting this place for a nice breakfast, it is advisable to call them ahead and reserve a table =)
Ayman K — Google review
We were looking for a place to have lunch and stopped at this restaurant. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. We saw lots of people having tea and cakes, which looked super good, but we ordered pasta and flammkchen. The food was excellent! The price is also fair. We really enjoyed this fabulous lunch. Next time we will definitely come for cream tea and scones :)

Spitzen Gebel, located in Bremen's market square, is a historic Gothic-style building that now houses a popular public house. The name "Spitzen Gebel" comes from the late Gothic gabling on the building. It was once the headquarters for Vereinigten Klaviertrager, a music group, and is known for serving "Sluk ut de Lamp," where patrons drink from a copper lamp.
Very cute pub in an old traditional house. Seating is very limited but cosy. Staff was friendly, service quick, prices average.

This is a lovely old pub. Nice character. It is tiny and difficult to get to the bar and impossible to get a seat, but that is due to the size which adds to the character.

Nice old pub. Service was friendly, just had a quick wine and beer before dinner. Nice little place to sit outside but nothing special when it comes to menu.

MUST TRY "Sluk Ut De Lamp" AND "Rusty nail .. red spicy" It was a place for ship brokers and shipping business people in bremen hung out and doing business in the old day ( I was told). This place can fit 20-25 people shoulder to shoulder "smallest bar in bremen" but germany seems to have smallest bar in every city... must see

(Translated by Google) A “store” just the way I like it. We sat at the bar. There was absolutely no mention of the alleged “Nordic coolness” among the guests and the staff. Super nice service, reasonable pleasant crowd from young to old and great drinks. The ambience encourages you to stay and come back. The house has a very long history; the owner is probably the Concordia student association. The bar is on the ground floor and there is a contact point for craftsmen on the roll and rooms for the Freemasons on the upper floors. Since the entrance for the carpenters (in traditional clothing) is through the bar and certain "rituals" take place with the service, we were able to observe very interesting scenes that evening. Smoking is not allowed there 👍 - doesn't seem to be the rule in Bremen.

The beef burger was juicy and flavorful, and the sweet potato fries were perfectly crispy. I went for the ChiliCheesyCheeseburger—spicy, cheesy, and just the right kick. Service was quick and very friendly (Yagmur), the interior cosy and quiet, with a few tables outside. 🍔🔥🍔

A place that understands the concept of a (burger) restaurant: proper burgers in a way you will not make them at home (where juicy=juicy and if you order spicy, it will be spicy), Fries are crispy and hot. And there is good service! (Thank you Maria). We're looking forward to our next trip to Bremen, and will come back!

After a very long drive this restaurant was everything we needed. Amazing service, by Yaguruv (name might be written wrong, sorry for this if you ever read it 😅 ), who opened up a table for us while we did not reserve, an amazing burger with great fries and overall a very nice establishment. It made our stop over in Bremen worthwhile.

Food quality is good for its price. My plate was beautifully dressed but overloaded. I was unable to eat without spilling all over my clothes (I might have been clumsy). The cola was of a brand I've never heard of (Afri) and it tastes a bit cheap for my taste.

Nestled in the charming Schnoor quarter, Beck's in'n Snoor is a beloved eatery that captures the essence of Bremen’s culinary heritage. This historic restaurant serves up traditional German fare, including local favorites like Knipp and Labskaus, all within an inviting rustic atmosphere. We came to Bremen from Düsseldorf for a weekend. It’s our first time here. We were surprised with nice service, helpful waiters and regional food. I advise you to take Bremen teller, in case you are not familiar with local cuisine. It is unusual but worth to try.

We got to this place by a recommendation from a city tour. The place is very beautiful, similar to an Irish pub. The food is very very good, and there is good quantity, so even if you eat a lot you'll be full if you finish the plates. Definitely a place I would recommend to have lunch.

Cafe & Bar Celona is a delightful spot located in the heart of the city and by the side of Weser, offering a perfect setting to savor delicious food and drinks. The place is known for its special deals, friendly staff, and an extensive menu with generous portions. Whether you choose to sit outside and enjoy the scenic views or inside amidst lively music, this Mediterranean-style cafe provides a relaxing atmosphere for indulging in tapas, wine, and good conversation.
Breakfast Buffet is a heavy bummer... too many alternatives and combinations already for "Brunch". All service personnel (from the kitchen, bar, and waiter/tres always a friendly faces and patiently serve all customers. A Cosy place

I really loved the vibe of this café! The atmosphere is warm and cozy, with tasteful decor that makes you feel right at home. The staff were super friendly and professional — it’s clear they genuinely care about the customer experience. I ordered the DREIKÄSEHOCH BÖRGER, and it was absolutely delicious — rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I paired it with a glass of Lillet, which was a lovely and refreshing choice. The only small downside was the French fries, which had a bit of an oily taste. But honestly, that was a minor issue compared to the overall great experience.
Sasan B — Google review
The location, staff and vibe are 5 stars, the kitchen is good and the food is tasty. However, the kitchen is very understaffed and when you order something other than a fast pizza you should be prepared to wait a very long time. The food was good and there were no complaints there but it takes over an hour. Having an additional person or two in the kitchen would really help.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Relaxed Atmosphere & Great Food – Bar Celona Bremen I visited Bar Celona in Bremen with my family and we had a wonderful time! The atmosphere is super relaxed and welcoming – perfect for a casual family dinner or just a cozy evening out. We ordered a mix of tapas to share – the bacon-wrapped dates, patatas bravas, and aioli with fresh bread were our favorites. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. The kids also found something they liked, which is always a plus! Drinks were great too – I had a refreshing Mojito, and the cocktails overall were well made and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and quick, even though the place was quite busy. We felt well taken care of the entire evening. If you’re in Bremen and looking for a laid-back spot with delicious Spanish-inspired food and drinks, I can definitely recommend Bar Celona!

There are racist because we were black . Especially the girl with short blonde hair. We waited 20mins before we could be served and she overpriced us and when we asked for explanation she said she didn’t have time. So unfreundlich
Lois D — Google review
Service leaves much to be desired. Both times coming here, no one gives you a menu you have to flag someone down to order and trying to pay takes c. 30 minutes. Drinks and food are okay but not worth the hassle of coming here. When there are so many staff members milling about it shouldn’t be that hard to get passable service.

Been travelling alot in europe since past years, also a big foodie…. One of the best breakfasts i ever had. It stayed with me… the ambience, every one is really relaxed and easy going. Their team does amazing work… their kitchen is their power plant. Everything was extra ordinarily yummy. I loved it.

Gasthof zum Kaiser Friedrich is a historic tavern located in Bremen's Schnoor quarter, dating back to around 1630. The cozy and traditional interior, along with sidewalk tables for outdoor dining in the summer, offers a welcoming atmosphere. The menu features typical North German dishes such as Kutterscholle, Angeldorsch, Busumer Krabben, Filet vom Limandes*, Labskaus, Knipp, and Bremer Rote Grutze.
Read reviews about this place online and decided to head here for traditional bremen food! We had the Knipp and the Labkaus and both were excellent! Thanks to the guy that squeezed us in. A must visit!

Nestled within the stunning Kunsthalle Bremen, Speiselokal Canova offers a delightful dining experience that beautifully marries art and cuisine. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh, organic ingredients sourced from local farms, including unique herbs and vegetables. Guests can indulge in creative breakfast options featuring Markus Knuf's artisanal bread or savor a range of thoughtfully crafted dishes that highlight responsibly sourced fish and seafood alongside vegetarian choices.
Excellent tastes. A little bit higher end. The 4 course menu is a must try. Local wines are exquisite. Its behind an art gallery, so finding it, you should walk around. Lavender ice cream shocked me, in a good way of course :) and my favourite, the sea food risotto...

The food here is so good that I can tell she loves me more; like I somehow came through as a man and provider by bringing her here. She keeps saying “scrumptious… really delightful”, i’ve never heard her say things like that before. 5/5 Hopefully her and i get married thanks to this :)

MA Bremen-Schlachte is a popular dining destination on the promenade. The restaurant boasts a unique and eccentric interior, providing guests with plenty of visual stimulation. The extensive menu offers a wide range of options to cater to different preferences. However, for vegans, the choices are somewhat limited, with only about three dinner options available. One can choose between a burger or a roasted veg bowl with rice and hummus.
I had a very positive experience with this place, lovely view on the river. Staff were very kind however a bit slow. We had coffee and desserts and the quality was very good. I was surprised with the prices, in a positive way, very reasonable considering the view and location and compared to other restaurants/cafes.

Visiting Bremen, breakfast here is like must have. Delicious food and very friendly staff. Dining outside with the river view maks really calm and relaxed.
Marcin R — Google review
We had the schnitzel with champignon sauce, along with traditional thick potato slices and spinach with cheese — everything was delicious. The schnitzel was especially flavorful. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The place was recommended by a friend, and I’d definitely recommend it as well.
Reza H — Google review
It was a beautiful place, overlooking the river, and inside it was just as beautiful. The food was very tasty and well cooked. The problem was that we booked a table at 11.30am and at that time we could no longer order brunch, although brunch is signposted until 12pm. This situation was unpleasant and the service wasn't the best either. The employee was friendly, but it was clear that there was some confusion between staff, as we had to wait half an hour to pay. But it's a good place to enjoy the view and the sun and have a bite to eat.

Really cool brunch / lunch location in the city of Bremen. For 15€ you have a huge buffet with lots of variety. Not a lot of vegan options. Unfortunately there was only one fork for the bacon and the French toast, which is kind of weird if you’re vegetarian, would be good if they could separate meat from non meat. Pancakes are cold, but good. Service is friendly and approachable.

Bolero Schlachte is a charming bar and restaurant located by the river, offering a wide range of Mediterranean specialties, pasta dishes, salads, and steaks. The relaxing atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to unwind while enjoying freshly drawn beer and exceptional cocktails. Visitors can take advantage of the daily Happy Hour from 5 to 7 pm, featuring discounted prices on cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages.
The location is not as ideal as across the street, but there is something to be said about the quietness and you can still see the water and enjoy nice weather on the Terrasse. The food and drinks are absolutely worth it in my opinion. The selection is really large, but it's great that everyone can find something. I had a burger and was really impressed, especially with the toppings and the fries. My biggest complaint would be the place taking last call and closing around 21:00 when they advertised to be open until 23:00.

One of the nicest terraces where I have been in the Schachte. Sunbathed and well covered from the wind, I was able to enjoy a really good Burger. Excelent and helpful service, good food, average price. Great beer as everywhere in Bremen. Good quantity-price and quality-price relation. 👍👍👍 Great discovered place to enjoy a late dinner and perfect terrace when the Sun is present!!👍👍👍 It's a top place to repeat !!! Service Waiters are always doing their best and they are very good at their job.👏👏👏 Kitchen 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳 👏👏👏 Perfect meat cooking point. On top of that, the kitchen was still open until 22h30 meanwhile at all other restaurants were already closed from 21 or 22. 👍👍👍 Thanks to that I enjoyed a perfect Rib-eye steak!!!

I had the chicken wrap here. Might have been a bit bigger if you'd ask me. The taste was good though. Waiting was quite long. We were informed about this on time, but even then you might wanna consider hiring an extra cook on the busy hours/days. We ordered a bottle of wine. Normally you'd pour the first sip in for a customer, and allow them to taste. This didn't happen. The girl I was with made this evening just perfect! Glad we moved inside and got seated on the couch.

I was unable to properly finish the cheese cake that I had taken as that was not tasty at all. Furthermore, the coffee was just ordinary. In addition, the cost is considerably more than others as well. But it's a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere. I gave an extra star just for this.

Very unfriendly and impatient staff, too expensive for what you get but the interior design and location is great. Would not really recommend.
J. I — Google review
The cappuccino was good, but I was really disappointed about the cake... New York cheesecake with a raspberry cream, which sounds so delicious to me, but it tasted not self made, like it comes straight from the package from the fridge. No real taste. For that price I expected something better. There are so many other places with better cakes and fresh made. But at least the coffee was good. Inside it's nice and cozy. But too expensive for that quality.
Merveille M — Google review
Excellent coffee, lovely atmosphere and nice staff. The coffee is actually one of the best in Bremen (after making a coffee tasting tour). Two stars off because it’s cash only and it’s freakishly expensive. I do coffee tours very often and to find prices in Bremen similar to London and Copenhagen is bizarre!

During a 3 nights stay, I was there twice for brunch. Family owned business of husband and wife, which always tells me an authentic and unique experience. For vegan people, this place is a gem. Everything on the menu is special, 95% you won't find the food in another restaurant. All ingredients used are 100% healthy, even the dessert. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Bremen!

Best part of Bremen! Stopped here for lunch while driving between cities. The food is delicious and healthy. Decor is minimalist while cozy. Even bought some of their homemade peanut butter. Lots of vegan and gluten free options.
Valerie P — Google review
Came here with VERY high expectations as this is a pretty famous place. When I came in, the place was not full at all but I was left there standing in front of the bar for a good 5 minutes before someone came out of the kitchen to assist. However, this wouldn’t really be a gigantic issue by itself. Unfortunately, when I asked if they had a table available for coffee and cake, the waiter responded quite poorly while walking to another table and kind of throwing the menu on a table. After that I waited another good 10/15 mins to order (again, the place was not full at all). After taking my order in a dismissive way, I waited again another 10/15 mins to get a coffee and a slice of cake. While eating, another foreigner came in ordering coffee to go and he was treated badly as well. The cake was ok but nothing special and I definitely had better coffee in town. Prices are crazy expensive for what you get. The location is nice but nothing incredible. Very disappointed as many suggest to come here to have a good time and food but this was not the case.

Very nice cafe. Excellent service from the (lone) employee taking orders. Food was nicely presented. Nestled in the bustling Hauptbahnhof area, Kismet New Generation Turkish restaurant is a beloved gem in Bremen's culinary scene. Established back in the 90s, this legendary eatery has become synonymous with mouthwatering Turkish kebabs. Each visit promises a delightful experience, especially when indulging in their signature Döner Teller Mix—an absolute must-try! The flavors are so captivating that many find themselves returning day after day for another taste of their delicious offerings.
I had a döner here, and I just can’t stop! I’ve been eating it for three days in a row now. Seriously, don’t even try it—you’ll get addicted. The flavor is absolutely amazing, and once you start, there’s no going back!
Mehmet G — Google review
This is the place we dream about! This is our first stop on every visit to Bremen. We try to eat here every day, sometimes a couple of times/day. We get their spicy Döner Rollo. We've tried them all over Germany and this is our favorite. They are friendly, efficient, offer a good value, and make delicious food. What's not to love? Go. You won't regret it.

Delicious chicken doner kebabs. Very quick and friendly service. Close to the city centre
Karina E — Google review
I think this is by far the best döner restaurant in Bremen. It is a place that can easily enter the top 5 according to the doner kebab I have eaten in many parts of Germany and in the places mentioned in the most famous lists. You should definitely try it.
Tam35 — Google review
Fast and delicious. There are always five or six guys working the counter so you never wait more than a minute or two.

It's an old school Turkish Kebab restaurant, somewhat Legendary in Bremen. The owner established this resto in the 90's (CMIIW) and the business still run ing up until now. Everytime me and mt wife had lunch there, we always bought Donner Teller Mix. The taste is really good and you could ask the waiter to add spices in your food. From more than 20 turkish kebab shop that I've ever visit in northern Germany, this one is the top of the list. We always ate there whenever we visit the city. Keep up the good work

Wohnzimmer Bremen is a cool and cozy bar with a retro vibe, designed to resemble a living room with its 70s-style wallpaper and vintage lampshades. The highlight of the place is the Super Nintendo, adding a nostalgic touch to the atmosphere. The bar is popular among hip visitors who enjoy chatting over drinks in this unique setting. The menu, made from old BRAVO magazines from the 90s, adds an extra layer of nostalgia.
One of the best Bars to visit in bremen on weekdays as well as weekends. Great Cocktails and German Beer on the tap as usual are great. Good service, Great ambience and fantastic crowd. Excellent location (Viertel) Lot of eating places even late in the night make it perfect for the night outs. In summer, You can enjoy the sun and beer!
Mrityunjay S — Google review
Cool, cozy bar with a retro vibe. Menus are made out of old BRAVO magazines from the 90’s so you can relive the worst time of your life. Visitors are pretty hip so plenty of people to talk to. Has a smoking lounge inside and a nice variety of mixed drinks to order. Drinks are a bit expensive but not weak. The Long Island is reasonably priced for what you get. They even have a SNES so you can have a nice night out with friends even on a Sunday since it’s not as crowded.
Channing W — Google review
Very cute place with comfy seats, great music and kind personnels. It is also not expensive and great place for a friend group.
Alper K — Google review
Such a cool bar with a modern, hipster interior. I was recommended this bar by a local and was not disappointed. The design and ambience was very Berlin - cool and modern. From the mismatched furniture to the little bunk-bed raised sitting mezzanine level and the graffiti on the walls, the whole place was cohesively mismatched. The staff were friendly, though I think the prices were a little on the steep side.
Tim C — Google review
Nice atmosphere, but at some point they asked us to pay even though we were not leaving. They were rushing us to pay. It was a bit weird for me, I dont know if this is common practice in Germany.
Gustavo R — Google review
The drinks were alright due to the machine, however, the waiter was rather unfriendly and the design of a vintage living room wasn't to my personal liking. It looked rather old and more or less shabby. The seats which were different arm chairs were quite comfy, though.
Claude E — Google review
The place is good, specially with the roof, also they have a smoking area, the wc is clean
Qusay A — Google review
Although it is called Wohnzimmer it doesn't have the atmosphere of a real living room. Nevertheless, service is good. Staff is polite and speaks English. Large variety of drinks. During summer time, you can also use benches on the street. However, the downside is inside of place. You do sit in cozy chairs but your friends end up being far away which makes conversation quite difficult.

At Simpleburger Hafenkante in Bremen, you can indulge in a delightful array of gourmet burgers crafted from organic meat sourced from Welsh Black cattle raised on a sustainable farm. This food truck offers not only mouthwatering burgers but also crispy fries and delicious coffee made with organic milk. Nestled by the water near Pusdorf Studios, it boasts an inviting urban atmosphere where you can enjoy your meal while watching the hustle and bustle of the Maleika shipyard.
Frickin’ awesome artisanal gourmet burgers in a superb location, all the taste with none of the pretentiousness. Best I’ve had in years! Choose between a 1950’s American diner style minimal burger and a pared-down “simple burger”, equally tasty and with some added lettuce and tomatoes. Excellent fries. Plenty of open-door seating from which you can watch day-to-day operations at the Maleika shipyard.

Absolutely amazing burgers in a perfect spot to relax during good weather. The bread used for the burger is one of the softest and most delicious ones we've had, and the burgers themselves are perfect too. When the weather in Bremen is good, this is the perfect place to relax and have some good food.
Anuj S — Google review
I really love the concept. There are three versions of either meat, vegetarian or vegan burgers. I'm not a vegetarian but i tried the chilli cheese vegetarian burger and it tasted great! You couldn't even tell the difference between regular meat. The fries(pommes) were thick but crispy and well seasoned. I'll definitely visit again.

Food: probably the best burger I’ve ever had. I had the simple burger with an extra patty, jalapeños and chili-marinade and OMG it was a taste sensation. Perfection for all the senses. Service: Really friendly and passionate about the art of burgers! Price: absolutely perfect.

Johann Jacobs House is a specialty coffee house in Bremen, known for its small-batch, passionately crafted coffee. It is linked to the famous Jacobs coffee brand and offers a workshop where visitors can learn about the art of making specialty coffee. Bremen has a rich coffee culture, with well-known brands like Jacobs, Azul, and HAG originating from the city. The port of Bremen has historically been crucial for importing coffee to Germany.
The best specialty coffee in town. They do everything with precision and care. I'm an espresso guy so I tried the 2 different beans they had. Both shots were of very high quality and beautifully pulled. I came back here 3 times. :) (There's a construction site nearby at the moment, but did not stop me from enjoying great coffee!)

I am a 10+ years coffee enthuthiast. I use temperature controlled manual brew methods with hand grinder, scale etc. I have been buying/trying coffee beans from all over the world. Finally I became a regular of this roaster. The freshness, roasting quality, bean quality of this place is fantastic compared to their prices. I order online and also sometimes go to their small and quiet cafe at the city center. I can’t recommend here enough, you can buy/drink quality coffee from here anytime.

It's the best speciality coffee you get in Bremen. Served and beans. Including brewing equipment, for v60 and alike (kinto, origami) handfilters.

Vitalii — Google review
Super duper friendly service - something you don’t experience in North Germany often. (WALK DOWN THE STAIRS on the side of “espresso coffee house” to find this cute spot!) The coffee is incredible and the baristas know exactly what they’re doing! I hugely recommend this place!! Speciality coffee at its best. What an amazing place! Also there’s an interesting story about how this cafe is linked to the famous “Jacobs coffee” which is an old family business. But this cafe has nothing to do with the current known brand of “Jacobs”. Ask the barista to tell you more.
Perseus T — Google review
Absolutely the best roaster and coffee in Bremen. In a city with limited specialty roasters, this is a gem. I always enjoy my coffee here and the staff add to the joy by being super friendly and wanting to chat about coffee. I visit Bremen a few times a year and make sure to grab a bag and enjoy a few hand filter coffees. The cafe itself is also nicely done and you can always find delicious pastries and cakes. Definitely recommended.
