Must visit when you are visiting Bremen. My most favourite part of Bremen’s old city center. The beautiful red bricks buildings and sculptures resembles those Flemish architectural style. A small street which takes you back in the history. Very charming and peaceful for the time being; when you are in this street. It can be crowded depending on which part of the day you are visiting. I have been here twice; and the second visit was better with less crowd.

This street was really cool. Felt like I stepped back in time. Has some unique shops along the way as well. Worth a stop when you’re in town.

Magnificently artistic! Bremen Town Hall (Bremer Rathaus) is one of the most beautiful examples of brick Gothic and Weser Renaissance in Europe and has rightly been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2004. Around 1400, when Bremen's development was at its peak, a new town hall was planned on the initiative of mayor Johan Hemeling and councillors Friedrich Wigger and Hinrich von der Trupe. Between 1405 and 1410, a Gothic "Saalgeschossbau" (hall building) was built on the northeast side of Bremen's Marktplatz, right in front of the archbishop's palace. A clear demonstration of the city's self-confidence in relation to ecclesiastical authority. The lavishly decorated façade of the town hall features statues of Charlemagne and the seven prince-electors, demonstrating Bremen's claim to being a free imperial city. The Renaissance brought several modifications: between 1545 and 1550 an extension with three floors, containing a new Wittheits-Stube and offices, was built between the town hall and the archbishop's palace. In 1595-1596 the front façade was modified for the first time: the Gothic windows with their typical pointed arches were replaced by large rectangular windows. Between 1608 and 1612, during the second modification, the front façade was given its Weserrenaissance appearance: the two middle windows and the proclamation door were replaced by a huge avant-corps (a facade extension) crowned with a Flemish gable. The baroque extension from 1682/83 is best visible on the corner where the statue of the Bremer Stadtmusikanten stands. With the German mediatisation of 1803 the archbishop's palace fell to the municipality of Bremen, and in 1818/19 it was partly dismantled and rebuilt as a neoclassical "Stadthaus" (municipal city hall). The enormous population growth in the 19th century and Wilhelminism made it necessary to enlarge the town hall. Thus the "Stadthaus" was demolished and between 1919 and 1913 the "Neues Rathaus" was built, a neo-Renaissance creation by the architect Gabriel von Seidl. All in all, Bremen today has a magnificent building complex that is not only very beautiful, but also represents the centuries-long development of civil autonomy in the Holy Roman Empire.

The inside of the Rathaus is pretty nice, however, you can only enter with a guided tour, and there is no tour for foreigners, only in German, which is unfortunate

Such a beautiful and old town hall. Inside and out, this building is just amazing.  The entry fee is €9 per person. The English tour starts at 12 p.m on Monday (not sure about other days), and the tour guide is very knowledgeable and friendly. If you're visiting Bremen, then you should also visit Bremen Town Hall. You won't regret it.

Our guide spoke perfect English and explained the history with many funny and interesting stories. The magic was that the building was not damaged during WW2 and has wonderfully intricate plaster, wood work and tiles..

I don’t consider myself someone who deeply in art, but I think the curator did an incredible job. The notes and texts didn’t just offer insight into the artist’s life. they also explained artists’ vulnerabilities and inner struggles. This will help everyone (even they are not deep in art) truly connect with the work. Honestly, this was the most beautifully curated museum I’ve seen anywhere in Germany. Huge kudos to the entire team at Kunsthalle Bremen 🫶🏻

this museum is worth your visit. It’s about an hour and a half to two hours the most the walk-through they have some permanent exhibit and the first floor has some really interesting exhibits. Unfortunately, most of the first floor did not have English subtitles like the rest of it so that was a little harder for me to really get what I wanted out of it. A splendid museum with an exceptional collection. The main ground floor was excessively crowded, maybe because it was a weekend. I had the privilege of admiring works by Van Gogh, Monet, Cezanne, and Picasso. The collection on display from the 14th century to the present day, predominantly featuring West European art. In terms of management, they can improve the waiting time at the wardrobe. The waiting line was until outside. Also buying the ticket took longer then expected, only one person selling tickets for all the guests.

Spent about 3 hours here. A total delight to senses. I read every single story about the painters and artists from 16th century uptil 20th century. How the perceptions and actions of ancestors evolved around art, women, poverty, breastfeeding, economy, love, forests, mythology, religion, god, and so on. Tales around critics, travellers, craftsmen, businesses. I am a sucker of history. This fueled my soul with much needed dose of intellect. Guided tours were available. I went on my own. Ticket was priced at 10 EUR for adults. It was open on a Sunday.

Surprisingly one of the best art museums that I've been to - and i had never heard of it before going there on a whim. Not just a beautiful collection that was interestingly presented, but also the curators have made the art pieces much more accessible than most other museums do by adding very interesting texts to many of it's pieces. the text went deeper than regular such text without being too long. Loved that! The personell were also very nice and helpful. They had a nice shop and lockers you could place tour bag in. The lockers costed 2 Euros (that you got back when opening) - i didn't have any euros on me so the personell lended me a coin in exchange for an id that was returned when I left. So nice!

I was here attending the exhibition named Icons. It was very good in fact. Many beautiful exhibits, some of them are very famous in fact, they are definitely worth to be seen. I really enjoyed it. The main exhibition is closed now, I think until May 2020. There is a cafe and shop inside. In the shop there are many different books about art, but the most of them are in German language.

Absolutely loved the gallery, I saw the "iconen" collection, the portrait of Van Gogh, Marilyn Monroe and other beautiful pieces of art. The museum also has a very interesting and lovely gift shop, I bought a pin in there

Bremen – A City of Character and Quiet Charm I found Bremen to be a city full of understated beauty. Its historic center, with landmarks like the Town Hall and the Roland statue, speaks to its rich past, while quiet streets and riverside paths offer a peaceful atmosphere. The Bremen Town Musicians statue adds a whimsical touch, especially for those who appreciate folklore. It’s not a loud or flashy destination, but if you enjoy history, culture, and a slower pace, Bremen is well worth a visit.

This is a must see statue depicting the most famous chapter of the story where the animal musicians scare away the robbers by creating a scary and noisy creature. It is best to (re-)read the short story first to get a better feel for the statue. We went before 8am and we were the only one there. It was peaceful and we had good morning light. We went later in the day as our traveling mascot, Pedals Puffin, wanted to see if he could join the musicians but alas he didn’t fit in the lineup. We had to wait in turn to get his photo opportunity.

The Market Square is the heart of the city of Bremen. It is a very beautiful old square, a favorite place for both locals and tourists to relax. Here you can find the famous statue of the Bremen Musicians. During my stay, a music festival was taking place. I highly recommend all tourists to visit and see this beautiful place.

What a wonderful pit stop on the way to Amsterdam from Hamburg. Standing in the middle of the square while the church tower was ringing was magical. So beautiful, makes you feel like you went back in time.

All the famous attractions in one spot, so if you just want to do the must sees, this is it. St Petri Dom, Böttcherstrasse, the Muscians, the Loch, the Rathaus - all in or just off the square. Other than one small souvenir kiosk, it is not at all touristy and certainly wasn’t crowded on a Monday at 11am. Easy to get to via public transport.

Very interesting place. You will see a diversity of people : ranging from 10 guided tours to opposite manifestations being 20 meters from another and throwing eachother the most evil looks I have seen on earth. Ignoring this, we obviously have a beautiful rest of architecture, that’s quite well preserved since it wasn’t bombed. Anyone who likes seeing pretty houses, interested in German history or has a design/architect background will like it.

Nice restaurant in Bremen. Solid house beer and traditional German food. I am hoping that the waitress was in training, because it was very poor service. They did not check in on us and seemed very confused on how to deal with payment at the end splitting a bill. Good food and atmosphere, poor service.

We found out that Schüttinger is one of the oldest beer houses in Bremen, so we wanted to try their own beers while we were here. We tried both the blonde and the red — both were good, but my favorite was the red. Luckily, we caught happy hour, so we only paid €3 per glass — unbelievable!

Beer was good, service as well especially a Hindu lady, Unfortunately we were offered a very noisy room and managers were reluctant to our request to find other table. Swine haxe was just aceptable, meet was hard and dry, do not recommend it. Schnitzel was better but nothing extraordinery, just OK.

Authentic Bremen restaurant with great local and German dishes. A great variety of menu. Food portions are huge and good for people with who wants to eat single meal for day. Ambience is standard and staff is friendly. Nothing to complain but May be food quality could be improved.

We went there without reservations but they still entertained us. I ordered pork knuckle and shared it with 2 persons because it has a very big serving. I also liked the mushroom soup that we order. My husband ordered schnitzel and he also liked it. This is our best dining experience in bremen. We will definitely return!!!

We had a very nice dinner herein The beer garden. The beer battered fish and potato salad were delicious but save room for the apple strudel. Service was good but seeing staff sitting together for a smoke break in front of customers was a bit uncomfortable.

We took an early dinner at the mill to catch the train back to Hamburg. A bit sad that the 2nd level is closed off. A bit of miscommunication here and there; corona became kola. Food was okay but nothing to be amazed at. With such a great location, things could have been better.

I went for Sunday brunch, but I think I won't come back again for it. Coffee or hot drinks are not included on the brunch buffet (nobody warned me previously about it and I did not see it writen anywhere). No hot drinks refill option. No pastry options (no cakes, no cookies, no croissants). If you arrive later than 10:45 you won't find some of the plates since they are not refilled. Nice staff, but who attended me did not speak English.

I’ve always wanted to try this place because the location seems great. It seems in the establishment you mostly pay for the location because the food price/quality wasn’t on par with what i was expection. We’ve ordered the mulle spritz, lillet wild berry, mulle labskaus and the shnitzel. Let’s just say for the price of 93 euros in total this wasn’t worth it. I have eaten better shnitzel and better labskaus around bremen for a lot less money. The presentation was really nice. So all in all i would say you pay for the location and for the presentation but not the taste of the food. The service people were friendly and the atmosphere was cozy.

I was unable to properly finish the cheese cake that I had taken as that was not tasty at all. Furthermore, the coffee was just ordinary. In addition, the cost is considerably more than others as well. But it's a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere. I gave an extra star just for this.

The cappuccino was good, but I was really disappointed about the cake... New York cheesecake with a raspberry cream, which sounds so delicious to me, but it tasted not self made, like it comes straight from the package from the fridge. No real taste. For that price I expected something better. There are so many other places with better cakes and fresh made. But at least the coffee was good. Inside it's nice and cozy. But too expensive for that quality.

Excellent coffee, lovely atmosphere and nice staff. The coffee is actually one of the best in Bremen (after making a coffee tasting tour). Two stars off because it’s cash only and it’s freakishly expensive. I do coffee tours very often and to find prices in Bremen similar to London and Copenhagen is bizarre!

Nice and cosy place, especially the window corner has a great view, so you can watch people while you drink your coffee. Besides that the coffee was good, also their cakes were fresh, me liked!

They do not let foreigners in despite showing drivers license or passport. We tried talking to security, but they without a reason said, they did not want us to be there. My advice is to go somewhere else as they are not friendly to foreigners

I've been going there for years with my friends. Modernes offers a wide variety of drinks 😉 for people that go there. The music 🎵🎶 concerts and music nights are extraordinary each time. The 80s, 90s music nights are also a visit at the music history that discos have promoted for decades. Modernes is ideal for students and for much older people looking to have a great night. It offers great music picks each time to satisfy every person that goes there. I rank Modernes 10 out of 10. It is excellent 👌 in every way.

The music played during DanceNights (TANZNACHT) and even the transistion from one song to another is not so great. The vibes are good. The crowd usually increases after 01.00. Spacious location with a small portion of roof opening once in a while for ventilation. There is a cloakroom to keep your jackets for a price of 1.5 Euro. Designated Smoking area and accessible bathrooms.

Huge and beautiful. Last time I had seen it only form the outside; and it looks amazing in the night light. This time we were able to explore the inside. The windows are tainted with beautiful lively paintings. The Chandeliers hanging from the high ceiling just adds more to the overall beauty. They do have a huge organ. The pulpit is really beautiful with all those sculptures carved out of the wood. Overall it is impressive.

The church is magnificent - both outside and inside. But what I liked most was the corner with children's toys! You don't see that often! Our little one was busy with the toys and let the adults have a good look around.

The intricate details, towering ceilings, and beautiful artworks create an unforgettable atmosphere that is definitely worth experiencing. Entry to the church is free, making it an accessible and rewarding stop for anyone visiting the city. However, climbing the tower is a different story. While it costs €4 per adult and €2 per child, the experience doesn’t quite live up to expectations. The ascent involves 265 spiral steps—a good workout, no doubt—but the panoramic view from the top is severely compromised by an unsightly metal mesh. This dense grid makes it nearly impossible to take good photos of the city, which is a big letdown. In an age where resistant glass or less intrusive barriers are available, the current setup feels outdated and frustrating. In short, unless you’re climbing the tower purely for exercise, it’s probably not worth it. The church’s interior is absolutely worth a visit, but the tower climb might leave you disappointed—especially if you’re hoping to capture those perfect panoramic shots of Munich.

Beautiful gothic cathedral in the centre of Bremen. The area is very touristy but it can be quite peaceful inside the cathedral. Entrance is free and there are often choir performances going on.

The museum is free entrance and worth the visit. Very impressed with how the tourism is so well organised in Bremen. Kudos to the planners.

Entertaining if you are a young restless kid. Interesting if you are a child carer or if like me, didn't pay too much attention at your science classes. Unfortunately a number of installations were out of order.

This is a whole day visit activity. We didn’t even get to see all the permanent exhibit space in the two hours we were there, let alone the exhibition space or the outdoor activities. Great activities for everyone, not just kids, lots of older individuals and couple as well as teenagers and families. Staff were great and there are roving Scouts helping visitors understand the science.

This place is amazing to visit with children. Too many experiments to explore and it’s also a great way for kids to understand the basics of physics and enjoy whilst trying and have fun as well. It’s definitely a must-go place in Bremen.

This museum was the highlight of our trip. If you're a geek or have an insatiable curiosity for all aspects of life, particularly nature, the human body, and technology, then you're bound to adore this place. It's an interactive museum where you can experiment with your own hands, delving into the realms of physics and scientific laws. We felt like kids again, rediscovering the world as if it were our first time.

It was the first time visiting this kind of science museums .. I was very very happy with every moment I discovered something new there.. Incredible and unbelievably interesting technological and informative ideas ... Full of colorful details.. it is absolutely one of the best places you can visit with your kids to improve their intelligence and interests about everything there !! It is much more better than playing games on tablets or watching videos on YouTube !! Me as an adult I was very curious about everything and kept asking my friend what is this and what is that :D .... Yeah I enjoyed a lot .. that's why I'm sure children and teens will do also :)) ♡ Highly recommended!!!!

I really loved the vibe of this café! The atmosphere is warm and cozy, with tasteful decor that makes you feel right at home. The staff were super friendly and professional — it’s clear they genuinely care about the customer experience. I ordered the DREIKÄSEHOCH BÖRGER, and it was absolutely delicious — rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I paired it with a glass of Lillet, which was a lovely and refreshing choice. The only small downside was the French fries, which had a bit of an oily taste. But honestly, that was a minor issue compared to the overall great experience.

The location, staff and vibe are 5 stars, the kitchen is good and the food is tasty. However, the kitchen is very understaffed and when you order something other than a fast pizza you should be prepared to wait a very long time. The food was good and there were no complaints there but it takes over an hour. Having an additional person or two in the kitchen would really help.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Relaxed Atmosphere & Great Food – Bar Celona Bremen I visited Bar Celona in Bremen with my family and we had a wonderful time! The atmosphere is super relaxed and welcoming – perfect for a casual family dinner or just a cozy evening out. We ordered a mix of tapas to share – the bacon-wrapped dates, patatas bravas, and aioli with fresh bread were our favorites. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. The kids also found something they liked, which is always a plus! Drinks were great too – I had a refreshing Mojito, and the cocktails overall were well made and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and quick, even though the place was quite busy. We felt well taken care of the entire evening. If you’re in Bremen and looking for a laid-back spot with delicious Spanish-inspired food and drinks, I can definitely recommend Bar Celona!

There are racist because we were black . Especially the girl with short blonde hair. We waited 20mins before we could be served and she overpriced us and when we asked for explanation she said she didn’t have time. So unfreundlich

Service leaves much to be desired. Both times coming here, no one gives you a menu you have to flag someone down to order and trying to pay takes c. 30 minutes. Drinks and food are okay but not worth the hassle of coming here. When there are so many staff members milling about it shouldn’t be that hard to get passable service.

Been travelling alot in europe since past years, also a big foodie…. One of the best breakfasts i ever had. It stayed with me… the ambience, every one is really relaxed and easy going. Their team does amazing work… their kitchen is their power plant. Everything was extra ordinarily yummy. I loved it.

The meal was good! The staff was very nice with us but I it's too expensive, this meal cost 22€. Anyways, I recommend to try it. 😉

One of the nicest terraces where I have been in the Schachte. Sunbathed and well covered from the wind, I was able to enjoy a really good Burger. Good prices (several offers during the week and very good prices on Sunday afternoon for lunch) and very efficient staff (the meal was served fast and warm). Do not miss the opportunity to go.

I had the chicken wrap here. Might have been a bit bigger if you'd ask me. The taste was good though. Waiting was quite long. We were informed about this on time, but even then you might wanna consider hiring an extra cook on the busy hours/days. We ordered a bottle of wine. Normally you'd pour the first sip in for a customer, and allow them to taste. This didn't happen. The girl I was with made this evening just perfect! Glad we moved inside and got seated on the couch.

We saw the windmill from a distance and decided to go check it out. We were pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant. The food, drinks, and dessert were great. The staff was friendly and prompt with service. The decorations were fun to see and appropriate for a restored windmill. If we make our way back to Bremen, we will be returning here.

We were visiting from overseas. The stroll through the park was lovely and quiet. We didn't visit the windmill as it was closed. We did stop at the cafe a short walk away along the river. Friendly service and a quiet spot to watch the world go by. The owner did warn us about oick pockets and people who may steal valuables off our table if we weren't careful.

Beautiful park with amazing history. In 1802, the city fathers decided to transform the fortress into a place of beauty and culture and since then, the walls have become the first public park in Germany to be decided by parliament. We went along it to same end and it was great walk in peace.

Definitely a great park just in the centre of Bremen with all kinds of sights. Wherever you enter or exit it you will still be inside the city. Historically the lake was a moat with defensive purposes for the city, then transformed into this park!

Beautiful park area that goes around the old town. Great place to have a relaxing walk, very quiet and some lovely views. Love how the city also leaves some of the grass areas for nature to take care of itself. More parks and cities should let nature be, as it would attract bees and wildlife that help sustain the ecosystem.

One of the most colorful and beautiful park in Bremen. It offers quite a few good views, excellent for photography, gvery good for relaxing and good for workout (jogging, running, etc). The windmill itself is quite attractive and what to say about the flower garden in front of it. It is the most vibrant, colorful, ever - changing and attractive garden I have seen. Always changing colors and flowers from time to time make sure that you never get bored of it.

I'll always remember this place. There was a couple next to us sitting and talking, suddenly one crazy woman came and started to shout at them to leave the place omg !!!! I couldn't understand any letter of their conversation but I believe it was very stressful for the couple ! After one week I saw the same crazy woman again, and I wondered if she's gonna shout at somebody else, I couldn't see her but maybe she really did it hahaha

The museum, housed in the Paula Becker-Modernsohn House is a beautiful building in the Böttcherstrasse. Paula Becker was an expressionist painter of the late 19th and early 20th century and considered one of the most important representatives of early expressionism The museum, founded in 1927, is dedicated to her and you can see a her paintings and drawings there. She died young at the age of 31. The museum is internally connected to the museum with old art and one ticket pays for both. When I was visiting it was busy with groups and students who were copying the art. The museum specifically invites visitors to take up a pencil and paper and use you drawing skills

It was rather disappointing, cause the paintings of Paula Becker-Modersohn were not that a lot. (You will see more of her works at Kunsthalle Bremen.) But, the museum next to (Ludwig Roselius Museum) was quite interesting.

Located in the center of Bremen, I did not go inside, however walking around is a nice experience, highly recommended.

I enjoy being here. The staff are very nice and attentive, the drinks are good and I have my peace and quiet. I just wish for their sakes that they'd have more customers, that's why I'm leaving a review. There is no food here though, only drinks. And cash only. You pay at the table before drinks are served, which is a sensible practice when talking alcohol.

I was hanging out in Snoor area and saw the place. It was a quiet and cosy place. I had schnitzel and beer. It was really tasty. The sauce was really nice and the plate was big enough.

I absolutely love this place. Not only it’s a super cool restaurant, but Oh my! What a great service. We were attended by one of restaurant owner’s son and he went above and beyond to provide us with an excellent service. The food was extremely delicious, we were a group of eight with different backgrounds and we were super satisfied with all the different dishes we had. Can’t wait to be back in a few weeks.

We got to this place by a recommendation from a city tour. The place is very beautiful, similar to an Irish pub. The food is very very good, and there is good quantity, so even if you eat a lot you'll be full if you finish the plates. Definitely a place I would recommend to have lunch.

Located within this old part of town, this restaurant offers simple local dishes at decent prices. The interior looks like frozen in time (long time ago), which only adds to the experience. Staff was forthcoming and polite. All in all a pleasant dinner including the "Fischer Frühstück".

Traditional German food and drink in the heart of the old town. Extremely generous portions and very reasonable prices. Limited vegetarian options, no vegan options. Despite this we were very pleased with our food and drinks.

We had to wait 20 minutes for the the food to arrive but it was simply delicious and worth the wait. We had the Rosentee and Granatapfeltee as well as the Bremer and Bremerin breakfast.

We stopped by this lovely tea house in Bremen, and it was such a delightful experience. Their scones are honestly from another world — freshly baked, soft, and absolutely delicious. The whole atmosphere was calm and cozy, perfect for a relaxing break. I’d definitely recommend visiting if you’re in Bremen!

We stopped by to rest a bit and enjoyed our late morning coffee on a terrace. We went with their house brews supplied by local roasters and got a cream tea cake on a side. All was great. They serve those coffees in a pot, which was handy outside, since it stayed warn and allowed us to enjoy the atmosphere for a longer time period. We especially liked a service there, despite being all full inside, guys served us very quickly outside as well, were friendly and spoke well English. It was a pleasure to be there.

Unbelievably delicious food! I know this might sound silly but their croissants are out of this world! I love every bit about this place, I get it some reviews did not like how they were welcomed initially but that is somewhat expected from a place that is really busy! it's a multi story restaurant that is apparently always packed with customers, we came and asked for a table for 5 or so and we were fine with waiting, we waited for around 10 minutes and once our table was ready we were welcomed properly. I totally recommend visiting this place for a nice breakfast, it is advisable to call them ahead and reserve a table =)

We were looking for a place to have lunch and stopped at this restaurant. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. We saw lots of people having tea and cakes, which looked super good, but we ordered pasta and flammkchen. The food was excellent! The price is also fair. We really enjoyed this fabulous lunch. Next time we will definitely come for cream tea and scones :)

Chilli Club is one of the best places in Bremen that I visit from time to time with my friends. The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff is friendly and professional, and the service is quite fast. As someone who loves Mediterranean cuisine, I tried sushi here for the first time, and honestly, it was better than I expected. I will definitely come back for sushi again!

We (2 person) had sushi, and it was absolutely delicious! I took off one star for the warm sushi because the pieces were different from the cold sushi. I understand that warm sushi usually comes with fewer pieces, but if we had ordered only cold sushi, we probably would’ve been more satisfied. Just an observation—might be helpful for someone deciding what to order. P.S. The California rolls were incredibly delicious! 😋

A decent museum of some cultures and religions of the world. The exhibition is recently and very well made, the building is beautiful. At 4 pm an evening ticket costs 7.50€. There is a restaurant attached, open till 9pm. Unfortunately the museum closes at 5pm.

The museum meanders through cultures throughout the world and illustrates them with relatively small exhibits. I enjoyed the bite-sized tour trough the world's various cultures. It is also nice not to take a deep dive sometimes. Here it is just numerous interesting dips of the toe.

Overseas museum is the museum, that should be visited for everyone, especially children. The exhibition includes very good exhibits from all over the world. The museum is about different cultures. There are also fishes and animals of different regions of the world. I really enjoyed the part of exhibition devoted to the religions of the world. Very interesting part of museum - about the people from all over the world who moved to Germany. This museum helps people to became more open-minded (at least, I hope so)

It is a small but very nice museum with one minute walking distance from Bremen main train station. There is an Antarctic exhibition on the show at the moment to April. It is also really good for kids. If you happen to be in Bremen you should never miss this museum ;)

If you want to see amazing bartender skills where it is as close to being art than the bartender we had last night was a true Picasso. We enjoyed a range of drinks while talking shop - one the best experiences with top class espresso martini 🍸 and zombie

The restaurant is nice and in a nice place. Unfortunately I was not served even after half an hour. No one came to me but they knew about me. So after that I chose an Asian restaurant where they always serve me nicely.

Amazing place, amazing environment. Like its name its spicy and happening. I was here with my colleagues and it was really nice. We had different types of mexican cuisines like tapas, fajitas and assorted platter. It was 'sehr lecker !'. If you happen to be in Bremen then this restaurant is 'must be' on your list.

They open until late and even on weekends. But they close kitchen early sadly. But the ambiance and service are nice to drink and chill.

We were greeted immediately outside on arrival. Great location and plenty of seats available. The staff brought a high chair within minutes for our baby. We ordered and received drinks and food promptly. The food was amazing! Very tasty. Definitely recommend for good quality Mexican.

This is my 3rd Mexican restaurant, by far it was the best in ambiance, it was very cozy inside. The service was amazing, very quickly the food was on the table and it was really hot and fresh, I just loved the backed nachos and the fresh sauce served was amazing and yum later we ordered enchiladas they too were yum and the platter was filling and worth the cost. it is also pretty reasonable on the pockets as well. I would highly recommend everyone to visit this place.

We had a nice family dinner at Easter. Our meals were well prepared and nicely presented. As a regular visitor to Bremen, I was surprised at the higher prices - which is somewhat understandable. The service was friendly and our waiter knowledgeable. The women's bathroom was not well kept at all - somewhat shocking, given the high prices.

I have visited this place during the cold season, a totally different vibe compared to the summertime beer garden atmosphere. It was nonetheless a, pleasant place, warned by the big fireplace. The service was excellent, the food a bit less awesome. The vegetables were slightly overcooked and the dish missed some flavor. The beer was good though.

I can give solid 4/5. Food is good but don't have anything that you can say wow. Eg. Burger was really nice but you can only have it with sweet potatoes and for me those flawours don't mix. Colleague's had simillar issues with their dish, it's really nice but..

A peaceful and stunning escape in Bremen! Rhododendron Park is an absolute gem. The variety of flowers—especially the rhododendrons and azaleas—are simply breathtaking, and the whole park feels like a living painting, especially in spring. It’s beautifully maintained, with peaceful walking paths, small lakes, and quiet corners perfect for relaxing or reading a book.

Blooms begin with magnolias and tulips in March, rhododendrons are most vibrant in April and May, and the rose garden offers the final blooms around July... but the park is lovely year-round!

Eerie feels grasp over while visiting the Gigantic submarine yard of WWII. 23feet deep concrete roof , 23 feet wall! jaw dropped!Beyond imagination! Horror of war ! Over 6000 forced labor died!

Very happy I swung by this place. It’s an incredibly impressive building, and the history of it was explored and explained quite well. It was especially striking to me to hear the differences they noted between the experience of being a forced labourer/prisoner and what the German officers thought it was like. There was a notable difference in accounts of how hard the officers thought the prisoners had it, and just how inhumane the conditions actually were. They managed to highlight these experiences by letting accounts speak for themselves in rather a nice way. I spent about one and a half hour there before I had to move on, but I wished I’d had a bit longer (I did, to be fair, spend a lot of time taking pictures, so if you haven’t brought a camera you might be fine with 1-1 1/2 hour). It’s quite difficult to grasp just how huge the bunker is, so if you’re at all interested in seeing it, I can only strongly recommend you go!

The interactive information area seamed to be rather out of order or not finished. Many displays were not available or partially corrupted. As far as the bunker goes it was very promising during my outside walk around. Good information and detail. Inside is was focused around a story cast upon the wall telling stories of the time. Not nearly as interesting as I was hoping for.

So worth visiting, to learn how those who were destined to ‘Extermination through labour’ were cruelly treated. Also to appreciate the bravery of 617 Sqdn who forced the closure of the Pen days before it went into full submarine assembly. The people who run Valentin have created a thoughtful and sympathetic tribute, the film that is projected on to an internal wall highlights the triumph of humanity over the most appalling tyranny.

It's a huge structure spanning over 400m long.The reason why the submarine bunker was built is quite interesting. The forced labour leaves a chilling legacy about innocent people being taken advantage of. Today, they provide a lott of information about what really happened. Absolutely fascinating and educational place to visit. I’m glad they have opened it to the public and educated everyone on the history of the bunker. The exhibits (EN & DE) are still being put together but it’s high quality. Much appreciated.

This is a lovely old pub. Nice character. It is tiny and difficult to get to the bar and impossible to get a seat, but that is due to the size which adds to the character.

MUST TRY "Sluk Ut De Lamp" AND "Rusty nail .. red spicy" It was a place for ship brokers and shipping business people in bremen hung out and doing business in the old day ( I was told). This place can fit 20-25 people shoulder to shoulder "smallest bar in bremen" but germany seems to have smallest bar in every city... must see

Classic Bremen "Kneipe" (bar) directly around the corner from the market place, behind Schütting (Bremen's historical chamber of commerce). Drop in for a beer or two, special house spirits are available. Bar personell is kind and always up for a chat. Weekend evenings it's usually packed full here.

Very interesting piece of history. Very easy to find if you know where to look at.

If you see someone spitting at the ground near the Bismarck monument in the cathedral's side, then likely you are close to this tiny piece of Bremen history. It's a little stone with a carved cross rather plain, but remarkable because is the place where the last public execution took place in Bremen. Gesche Gottfried was a serial killer woman that took the life of 15 people by arsenic poisoning between 1813 and 1827. Arrested and sentenced to death by decapitation, which took place on April 21, 1831 on the place marked by this stone. Since then people has shown public rejection to that event spitting. It's a bit tricky to find it but the excitement of searching for it deserves the time. If you give up after searching for it, below are two hints: 1- Manufactum Warenhaus building: One of the pictures i posted show this building from the stone point of view. 2-St. Petri Cathedral: Other of the pictures i posted show it from the stone point of view.

Was able to spit on the stone a few times while visiting the city. One of the city’s many hidden gems.

Great little place in Bremen. Honestly one of the best coffee shops and the food was great. I had overnight oats a flat white and a cinnamon role to share with Noah 1yr old. Definitely going back again to try the rest of the menu.

I have no words to describe this place. The only thing remotely close is, Perfect! I'd tell my friends to go there with their eyes closed, and just enjoy. The level of love put into it, whether it's design, food, preparing, service, vibe in general, is beyond what you'd look for in a Cafe. The location is a bit away from the city center, but you get the chance to visit a different part of Bremen. Through 1 train/bus ride from there you should get to it. Thanks again for the wonderful experience!

a coffee place that offers great breakfast variety and delish! the dishes are not as big as other places but big enough that you will be full and not extremely full that you can't walk (sorry other coffe places its just not fun!). Croissant was to die for and flat whitw on point and not bitter or overly roastes coffee known overall in Germany. I think the eggs were cooked in too much oil but im just overly picky on how much oil goes into my food but overall great taste.

I never had such a good pistachio latte and I was looking for proper one where you can feel the taste of pistachio, yellowbird coffee staff nailed it. I also had a veggie sandwich with seeded bun, was amazing. Place is cozy and nice to spend time either you enjoy a coffee with a book or wanna work on your laptop.

A very nice and cosy café to have a relaxed and peaceful moment. The place is very well decorated with every details masterfully thought of. The coffee is also particularly tasty with fragrant flavors. The pastries, desserts and savory bagels also seemed amazing and vegetarian/vegan friendly.

We stayed at the Atlantic Grand Hotel in Bremen for 3 nights with our 2 cats for our anniversary. During our stay all staff were professional, timely, and friendly. The location is fantastic and the underground parking is great! We did not have any trouble getting into the lot, finding a spot, or getting out. Our room was spacious and clean with a nice view of the city. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but did order room service once - it was both prompt and delicious. The only problem was the bed. It was awful. The mattresses are old and the mattress support sags in the center. I ended up sleeping on the couch the first night. It was terrible. In the morning, we spoke with the front desk and they sent someone with a board to put under the mattress. This made the stay tolerable, but far from pleasant. Throughout this entire situation the staff continued to be wonderful. They did everything in their power to ensure we were comfortable. It is such a shame about the beds because everything else about this hotel was perfect!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Atlantic hotel. The room was large, modern and clean with plenty of space for clothes. The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the center, and the personnel was very friendly and helpful. The food was also good. I gladly recommend it

A hotel for men! Good location and excellent breakfast. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. Super disappointed by the lack of hair conditioner in the bathroom. I asked at reception and they could sell me a giant bottle for a small fortune or suggested that I walk alone to a nearby pharmacy at 9pm to see if they sell a travel size bottle. Clearly not catering to female clientele.

Love the views in the park area. The duckumente are cute. And the old buildings plus old collections things are amazing . Only one point, i found not so nice was there stand also Donald duck and Mickey mouse arts between the vintage things. It damaged a bit of classic atmosphere. The front service was really nice and friendly

Wonderful museum filled with Bremen history and art. Well maintained. Will take you about 2-3 hours if you like reading. No English plaques, but i think most would find it worth their time if visiting.

After we bought the tickets at the entrance, we were told that most of the museum was closed because of a renovation, for already two years! There was only one room to visit with a temporary exibition about a duck, which we did not like at all. The farmhouse building on the terrain was open as well, with some furniture, glassware and kid toys, but was not what we came for. Such a shame that the closure is not communicated on the website.

Good place to learn about history of Bremen. You can buy tickets when entering the place. Have special reduced ticket prices for students. Recommended.

It was in June. A good selection of beers, but the service needs improvement. There were 20 minutes left before closing, when I decided to take second beer (could drink at the street tables) but the guy told me that they had already finished, and it was said in a very rude manner.

Really good variety of beers and good environment. Beers are pretty expensive but most of them are not easy to find. Service is nice and staff speaks perfect English. I would recommend it!!

Lovely little bar right on the river, in a convenient location to downtown. Selection of wines and beers and food of course. Overall good experience and good customer service. Really appreciated the prompt service to our table. The pizza that we had was simply okay, so taking off one star.

Pretty decent place to sit at on a sunny day. The beer is decent and they have TVs out for sports. The only problem is.. There's no food in general. But the upside is, you can get whatever food and eat there.

The atmosphere at Litfass was ruined by a very rude waitress with bad vibes. From the moment she attended to us, her attitude was unpleasant, and she showed no interest in providing good service. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place due to the poor treatment we received. There are better options in the area.

Best bar/Café in Bremen, in my opinion. Great beer, great coffee. Cosy and friendly. Smoking allowed, but after a few good beers, you won’t notice it anymore.

Interesting place. I had a nice drink with friends at humain price's. The only downside was that it was a smoking pub.

Litfass hast become my favorite spot in Brem over the years. It's an excellent spot to drop in for a delicious beverage any time of the day. The coffee hot and cold is excellent. And generous and lecker Cocktails. And a long list of fun shots. I could spend all day here looking out over the street from the front patio. It may be too smokey for some people on the inside. My only real complaint is they don't serve Haake in .5 glasses.

I have been waiting a long time to find a really good Flat White coffee in Germany. Finally, Harbour Coffee produced a good one. It was in a small cup, it was of good strength, the coffee was smooth tasting and it was hot. Wonderful. So good that I had to go back in the afternoon for another one. We also had a homemade cinnamon roll that came with vanilla sauce. It was pretty good but we have just spent the last 2 months in Scandinavia and this one wasn’t as soft or had enough cinnamon in it. The inside of the shop is interesting and there is an old cash register there, although they use a modern calculator to add up your bill though. Lots of outdoor seating and some indoor seating.

This place is small, cozy and has a nice, unique ambience. Coffee tasted good and cinnamon roll was yummy. I visited on Sunday, during the lockdown, so it was not that crowded and there was a small queue for take away. They offer few cakes options, croissants and cinnamon rolls. The owner/person in the counter was friendly.

This is a very hipster coffee place that serves very good coffee tea and even horchata, the almond milk drink typical of Mexico. The hot chocolate is also good. There are several sweet foods on the menu. We tried several of them and all were very tasty. Perhaps a special shout-out should go to the lemon thyme tea bread, it was really special. The downside is that there is v little room inside, and the high chairs are rather uncomfortable. If the weather allows take the outdoor seating!

A cute small hipster café with friendly staff that makes great Chai latte. The inside space is a little bit small and uncomfortable, so I would recommend sitting outside if it isn’t too crowded (which it often is). Coming from a danish person, the cinnamon bun is as hard as a rock, but still has a decent taste.

We chose this place for a Sunday breakfast as tourists, and it was indeed quite busy — you may need to wait to find a seat. The café is self-service, so you have to go to the counter to place your order. Around noon, there were lines of about 5–6 people just to order breakfast. Once your food is ready, a buzzer goes off and you pick up your tray — like a fast food / burger restaurant. After eating, you’re expected to leave your tray in the dish rack — similar to a cafeteria. This service style isn’t something we’re very used to in cafés 🙄 For breakfast, I had the Sweet & Salty, and my husband chose the Eggs Benedict. The Eggs Benedict was tasty and similar to what you’d find in many cafés like this. The Sweet & Salty plate was quite filling and also delicious! I especially liked the taste of the herbed cream cheese. The sesame bagel was also nice. If you’re not very hungry, this plate could easily satisfy two people! 👍🏼 Their coffee was good as well. The interior decor of the place looked authentic and cosy.

Had to wait a bit for a table, which was quite understandable for a Sunday morning. Food was delicious. They have a pager system, when your order is ready it beeps. Basically self service. When the prices are a bit north of the average, I would expect a better service. Thumbs up for being a pet friendly establishment!

Cozy and delicious - best Cappuccino I've ever had. Fabulous plants and sofas. Fantastic breakfast. Might be too crowded - we had to wait a few minutes. Climbing a few stairs required both to enter the restaurant and the outside area.

Place is popular, better reserve a place in advance, we were happy not to wait too long to get a table for two :) We had a Vegan Mezzeteller and P&J pancakes. Mezzeteller was very nice, but it could use an extra slice of bread/bagel, because the ratio of dips to bread was a bit not even, so that some of it was wasted. Dips were nice, but so called „Pink Hummus“ (beetroot sauce idk), was too plain and boring in a taste, it didn’t really go with everything else from the plate. Additionally, we took Chai Latte with homemade Sirup and big cappuccino. Chai latte was amazing, strongly reminded me of Indian Masala Chai, but cappuccino was disappointing. It had an uneven dark foam on the top, right after it was prepared, which meant that it’s gonna be a bitter coffee, and so it was. It was okay, but later I could also feel how sour the espresso was, which was not a good feature. Maybe they didn’t check their espresso in a while, or just overdo mine, or it could also be a poor mixing technique. But overall, food was good, staff is really cool and charming, they try their best during the heavy hours, and we loved the ambiance very much!

Not sure how this has +4 stars on Google. Stayed one night for a business trip in Bremen and it was awful to say the least. Firstly, I arrived at 2:50 PM after travelling for +14 hours and was told by a male front desk worker that I would have to wait 10 minutes as check-in was at 3:00 PM. Completely fair. At 3:15 PM I asked for an update on the room and he said I would have to wait another 10-15 minutes for the room to be ready. At 3:45 PM (waiting for almost one hour) I started getting impatient and frustrated as I didn’t get an update, or any form of apology for the inconvenience. Not sure if it’s the fact that I’m not a local/not German speaking that I was treated so poorly by the male associate, but two other groups were able to check-in and enter their rooms right away. Finally, I approached a female front desk worker and she was able to accommodate me in a different room. She was very friendly and was able to resolve the issue within 5 minutes (wish she had helped me all along). In addition, no one offered to help bring my luggages to my room. I was okay to pay for the support but it was never offered. Bad first impressions, but I was still ready to give them a second chance, hoping the room was worth the wait. I enter my hotel room which was supposed to be “ready” and the body soap dispenser in the shower was broken. The hand soap in the bathroom was low, and one of the toilet paper rolls was still from the previous guests before me (only a few sheets left). Also while the location is close (15-20 min walk) to major attractions, I wouldn’t say it’s in the best part of town. Felt quite uncomfortable walking alone in the streets nearby during the day. Gym hours start at 8:00 AM which doesn’t work if you’re on business travel and need to start your day early. The only positive feedback I have would be that the bed was comfortable. Overall, I would suggest picking any other hotel other than this one during your stay in Bremen. Especially if you’re on business travel with not too much time in your itinerary for delays and other inconveniences.

Stayed here for 2 nights and was quite disappointed, especially considering the 4.4 rating, which feels very misleading. The biggest issue: no air conditioning in the room. There’s only a ventilation system that does nothing to cool the space, and the portable fan provided is loud and ineffective — not ideal for rest or sleep. Additionally, there was no coffee maker in the room, which is pretty basic for a hotel at this level. As a Gold member on the booking platform, I was supposed to receive a free drink per day, but the receptionist didn’t inform me where or how to claim it. Lastly, the breakfast was underwhelming and not up to the standards of a 4-star hotel. Overall, the hotel is just average at best, and certainly doesn’t justify its high rating. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially in warmer weather.

Location is very good, walking distance to the center and main touristic attractions. The check in was quick. The room was very clean, nicely arranged. No toothbrush or other amenities apart from shower gel and soap. They have a strange way of accessing the gym and sauna. You have to go to 4 floor, walk until the end, take other elevator to 5th floor. Gym was good equipped. Sauna was nice as well, it also had a small relaxation space. The wet sauna was not functional while there. The hotel did not have slippers in the room and ran out of bathrubs for sauna. A bit inconvenient to walk from the gym locker, through the gym towards the sauna. A great stay overall, might book again.

Location wise it's very good to explore. Hotel customer satisfaction wise its very disappointing. There is no air conditioning in rooms, you have to pay for a water bottle and tea coffee in your room, which is mandatory in most of the four star hotels nowadays. Cleaning services needs to be ordered if you need which is hard to understand. Buffet breakfast has very limited availability and on higher prices.

All the seats have a good view of the stage. The repertoire is also really good. The singers of the operas are really good, they have clear choices and are expressive. The prices are fair. The location of the Theater in Bremen is also good, you can get a bus or a train from the main station to get there.

Cool, cozy bar with a retro vibe. Menus are made out of old BRAVO magazines from the 90’s so you can relive the worst time of your life. Visitors are pretty hip so plenty of people to talk to. Has a smoking lounge inside and a nice variety of mixed drinks to order. Drinks are a bit expensive but not weak. The Long Island is reasonably priced for what you get. They even have a SNES so you can have a nice night out with friends even on a Sunday since it’s not as crowded.

Very cute place with comfy seats, great music and kind personnels. It is also not expensive and great place for a friend group.

Such a cool bar with a modern, hipster interior. I was recommended this bar by a local and was not disappointed. The design and ambience was very Berlin - cool and modern. From the mismatched furniture to the little bunk-bed raised sitting mezzanine level and the graffiti on the walls, the whole place was cohesively mismatched. The staff were friendly, though I think the prices were a little on the steep side.

Nice atmosphere, but at some point they asked us to pay even though we were not leaving. They were rushing us to pay. It was a bit weird for me, I dont know if this is common practice in Germany.

The drinks were alright due to the machine, however, the waiter was rather unfriendly and the design of a vintage living room wasn't to my personal liking. It looked rather old and more or less shabby. The seats which were different arm chairs were quite comfy, though.

Although it is called Wohnzimmer it doesn't have the atmosphere of a real living room. Nevertheless, service is good. Staff is polite and speaks English. Large variety of drinks. During summer time, you can also use benches on the street. However, the downside is inside of place. You do sit in cozy chairs but your friends end up being far away which makes conversation quite difficult.

Well. The Music there is entirely same flow and one can experience the repetition for the whole Night. There is no Hype and Elevation at all. Spending too much of money seems Unworthy. My Friday Busted.

The Tower is one of the best music Night Clubs in Bremen. It has more than one floors and each floor plays different music pics for the the clients. The Tower also organises live concerts. And amazing club in Bremen. My friends and me have been going there for years.

Very small venue with great sound. Large open pit area, and elevated bench seats on the side . Very cozy and warm vibe, great for intimate shows with your fav hardcore or punk rock bands. Men's restroom is horrendous though. Good luck.

The Tower Bremen is an alternative Clubhouse near the central station. The place itself is good with two floors, on the first one there is a small but good Dancefloor, a stage(where live bands play sometimes), two bars and some sofas, on the second floor is allowed to smoke, there are the toilets, a wardrobe, another dance floor with a bar and a kicker table. The beverage prices are fair, and until now I only had good experiences with the staff working there. If you are inclined to go to Tower I can heartily recommend going there on Tuesdays, on Student Night, they play mostly Rock on the first floor and Rap on the second, it is always full and lively around 1am. Everytime I went there on Saturdays/Fridays the place was quite empty and not much going on.
