Böttcherstraße is a renowned street in the historic center of Bremen, featuring expressionist architecture and a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages. Spanning 100 meters, it offers an array of attractions including the Paula Modersohn-Becker Museum, artistic shops, sweet and food stores like Bremer Bonbon Manufaktur, and dining options.
Very nice architecture and very cool place . Must visit when you are in Bremen

A small butcher street dating back to the 1920s. A charming area of small, narrow streets, it houses shops, restaurants, museums, a bell tower, and beautiful works of art. A must-see. The bells play music.

It is really a very beautiful street designed down to the smallest detail. As you walk through it, you see different details and it excites you. Along the way you can find boutique shops, designers, and a museum.

Must visit when you are visiting Bremen. My most favourite part of Bremen’s old city center. The beautiful red bricks buildings and sculptures resembles those Flemish architectural style. A small street which takes you back in the history. Very charming and peaceful for the time being; when you are in this street. It can be crowded depending on which part of the day you are visiting. I have been here twice; and the second visit was better with less crowd.
Animesh K — Google review
This street was really cool. Felt like I stepped back in time. Has some unique shops along the way as well. Worth a stop when you’re in town.

Bremen Town Hall is a stunning Gothic building in Bremen, Germany, known for its ornate interior featuring a marbled lobby and gilded Art Nouveau chamber. It is a popular tourist destination with numerous antiques and beautiful decorations adorning its walls. This architectural masterpiece dates back to the Gothic era and offers visitors the opportunity to stroll through its historic halls. Easily accessible by car or train, it is one of the oldest and most unique places in Germany.
I totally recommend visiting the Bremen Rathaus. We had an amazing experience during our weekend trip to Bremen. The building is very beautiful and we enjoyed its interior. Mostly, we wish to thank the staff for the attention they paid to us: as the only non-German speakers of our booking time, they arranged a specific visit in English: our guide, Ms Britta - I hope I spelled the name correctly - was lovely and passionate about the history of Bremen and its Townhall. She made us feel welcomed and we enjoyed our tour so much! Totally recommended!
Filippo T — Google review
Magnificently artistic! Bremen Town Hall (Bremer Rathaus) is one of the most beautiful examples of brick Gothic and Weser Renaissance in Europe and has rightly been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2004. Around 1400, when Bremen's development was at its peak, a new town hall was planned on the initiative of mayor Johan Hemeling and councillors Friedrich Wigger and Hinrich von der Trupe. Between 1405 and 1410, a Gothic "Saalgeschossbau" (hall building) was built on the northeast side of Bremen's Marktplatz, right in front of the archbishop's palace. A clear demonstration of the city's self-confidence in relation to ecclesiastical authority. The lavishly decorated façade of the town hall features statues of Charlemagne and the seven prince-electors, demonstrating Bremen's claim to being a free imperial city. The Renaissance brought several modifications: between 1545 and 1550 an extension with three floors, containing a new Wittheits-Stube and offices, was built between the town hall and the archbishop's palace. In 1595-1596 the front façade was modified for the first time: the Gothic windows with their typical pointed arches were replaced by large rectangular windows. Between 1608 and 1612, during the second modification, the front façade was given its Weserrenaissance appearance: the two middle windows and the proclamation door were replaced by a huge avant-corps (a facade extension) crowned with a Flemish gable. The baroque extension from 1682/83 is best visible on the corner where the statue of the Bremer Stadtmusikanten stands. With the German mediatisation of 1803 the archbishop's palace fell to the municipality of Bremen, and in 1818/19 it was partly dismantled and rebuilt as a neoclassical "Stadthaus" (municipal city hall). The enormous population growth in the 19th century and Wilhelminism made it necessary to enlarge the town hall. Thus the "Stadthaus" was demolished and between 1919 and 1913 the "Neues Rathaus" was built, a neo-Renaissance creation by the architect Gabriel von Seidl. All in all, Bremen today has a magnificent building complex that is not only very beautiful, but also represents the centuries-long development of civil autonomy in the Holy Roman Empire.
Koen — Google review
The inside of the Rathaus is pretty nice, however, you can only enter with a guided tour, and there is no tour for foreigners, only in German, which is unfortunate
Gajdán G — Google review
Absolutely stunning living example of Gothic architecture showcasing the rich history of that era. Really a masterpiece. The history takes it back to 15th century.
Animesh K — Google review
In the heart of Bremen stands the beloved statue of the Bremen Town Musicians — a fairy tale brought to life. A donkey, dog, cat, and rooster stacked together, reminding us that teamwork and hope can overcome even the toughest challenges. 🌿🤝
Ali A — Google review
Such a beautiful and old town hall. Inside and out, this building is just amazing.  The entry fee is €9 per person. The English tour starts at 12 p.m on Monday (not sure about other days), and the tour guide is very knowledgeable and friendly. If you're visiting Bremen, then you should also visit Bremen Town Hall. You won't regret it.
Marina T — Google review
Our guide spoke perfect English and explained the history with many funny and interesting stories. The magic was that the building was not damaged during WW2 and has wonderfully intricate plaster, wood work and tiles..

Museums
Nestled in the serene Wallanlagen Park, just a stone's throw from Bremen's bustling market square, the Kunsthalle Bremen stands as a beacon of artistic heritage. This esteemed art museum boasts an impressive collection that spans over 600 years of European art history. Visitors can marvel at masterpieces by renowned artists such as Rubens, Rembrandt, and Picasso alongside contemporary works from innovative creators like Nam June Paik.
This is a jewel of an art museum. The artworks in the museum's permanent collection themselves are beautiful, however what sets the Kunsthalle Bremen apart is the innovative and interesting manner in which it displays its content; every gallery offered something new and fresh. Other institutions should take note.

I don’t consider myself someone who deeply in art, but I think the curator did an incredible job. The notes and texts didn’t just offer insight into the artist’s life. they also explained artists’ vulnerabilities and inner struggles. This will help everyone (even they are not deep in art) truly connect with the work. Honestly, this was the most beautifully curated museum I’ve seen anywhere in Germany. Huge kudos to the entire team at Kunsthalle Bremen 🫶🏻
Nihan D — Google review
this museum is worth your visit. It’s about an hour and a half to two hours the most the walk-through they have some permanent exhibit and the first floor has some really interesting exhibits. Unfortunately, most of the first floor did not have English subtitles like the rest of it so that was a little harder for me to really get what I wanted out of it. It has a gift shop and it has a café
Harriet M — Google review
A splendid museum with an exceptional collection. The main ground floor was excessively crowded, maybe because it was a weekend. I had the privilege of admiring works by Van Gogh, Monet, Cezanne, and Picasso. The collection on display from the 14th century to the present day, predominantly featuring West European art. In terms of management, they can improve the waiting time at the wardrobe. The waiting line was until outside. Also buying the ticket took longer then expected, only one person selling tickets for all the guests.
Andrei P — Google review
Spent about 3 hours here. A total delight to senses. I read every single story about the painters and artists from 16th century uptil 20th century. How the perceptions and actions of ancestors evolved around art, women, poverty, breastfeeding, economy, love, forests, mythology, religion, god, and so on. Tales around critics, travellers, craftsmen, businesses. I am a sucker of history. This fueled my soul with much needed dose of intellect. Guided tours were available. I went on my own. Ticket was priced at 10 EUR for adults. It was open on a Sunday.
Rachna S — Google review
Surprisingly one of the best art museums that I've been to - and i had never heard of it before going there on a whim. Not just a beautiful collection that was interestingly presented, but also the curators have made the art pieces much more accessible than most other museums do by adding very interesting texts to many of it's pieces. the text went deeper than regular such text without being too long. Loved that! The personell were also very nice and helpful. They had a nice shop and lockers you could place tour bag in. The lockers costed 2 Euros (that you got back when opening) - i didn't have any euros on me so the personell lended me a coin in exchange for an id that was returned when I left. So nice!

I was here attending the exhibition named Icons. It was very good in fact. Many beautiful exhibits, some of them are very famous in fact, they are definitely worth to be seen. I really enjoyed it. The main exhibition is closed now, I think until May 2020. There is a cafe and shop inside. In the shop there are many different books about art, but the most of them are in German language.

Absolutely loved the gallery, I saw the "iconen" collection, the portrait of Van Gogh, Marilyn Monroe and other beautiful pieces of art. The museum also has a very interesting and lovely gift shop, I bought a pin in there

Schnoor, Bremen's oldest district, is a charming neighborhood filled with 15th and 16th century timber-framed houses lining cobblestone streets. The name "Schnoor" actually means "line" in German, reflecting the way these houses are built side by side. Walking through this historical area feels like stepping into a fairytale, surrounded by galleries, cafes, restaurants, bars, and shops.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Schnoor in Bremen, and I must say, it was one of the most charming experiences I've had in a long time. This historic neighborhood is a must-see for anyone traveling to Bremen. The narrow, cobblestone streets are lined with beautifully preserved 16th-century houses, each one telling a story of the past. The atmosphere is enchanting, with quaint shops, cafes, and restaurants tucked away in every corner. I loved getting lost in the winding streets, discovering hidden gems, and admiring the intricate architecture. The Schnoor is a true gem of Bremen, and I felt like I had stepped back in time. Whether you're a history buff, a foodie, or just looking for a unique experience, the Schnoor is a must-visit destination. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the authentic side of Bremen. *Tips:* - Take your time to wander the streets and discover the hidden gems. - Visit the local shops and cafes to get a feel for the community. - Don't miss the stunning architecture and historic landmarks. *Overall:* The Schnoor in Bremen is a truly unforgettable experience that will leave you with lasting memories. I fell in love with its charm and character, and I'm sure you will too!

If there was a German Harry Potter, then it would be filmed in Bremen. The Schnoor district is Bremen’s oldest and most charming neighborhood, with winding alleyways and beautifully preserved half-timbered houses dating back to the 15th–18th centuries. Worth visiting 🙌🏼

The Town Musicians of Bremen is a famous bronze statue in Bremen, Germany, depicting the donkey, dog, cat, and rooster from the Brothers Grimm's fairy tale. Created by artist Gerhard Marcks in 1953, it represents the popular German folktale about four animals seeking a new life as town musicians. The statue has become an iconic landmark in Bremen and attracts many visitors.
As someone who loves history and architecture, Bremen completely captivated me. It’s easily the most beautiful city I’ve ever visited. Walking through the city centre felt like stepping into a storybook; every corner seemed to tell a tale of its rich past, with stunning historical buildings and intricate architectural details. The famous Town Hall and Roland Statue are mesmerizing landmarks, and the cobblestone streets add to the city's charm. The Christmas market, especially just before Christmas Eve, was like a dream come to life; magical, enchanting, and filled with wonder. The festive stalls, glowing lights, and the aroma of mulled wine and roasted almonds created an atmosphere that was nothing short of extraordinary. It felt as though I had walked into one of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales, complete with twinkling lights and joyous holiday spirit. The blend of history, culture, and festive magic in Bremen made it an unforgettable experience. It’s not just a place you visit but one you feel deeply connected to, as if it was pulled straight from the pages of your favorite childhood storybook. Bremen is truly a city of wonders, especially during the Christmas season!

Bremen is a nice town. Interesting story around the musicians. Do not miss the church, the traditional stores including their famous chocolate, the candy making store, the narrowest street in germany as well as the manhole in the main square where you can listen to the animals for a coin. A great day trip place near Hamburg.

Bremen – A City of Character and Quiet Charm I found Bremen to be a city full of understated beauty. Its historic center, with landmarks like the Town Hall and the Roland statue, speaks to its rich past, while quiet streets and riverside paths offer a peaceful atmosphere. The Bremen Town Musicians statue adds a whimsical touch, especially for those who appreciate folklore. It’s not a loud or flashy destination, but if you enjoy history, culture, and a slower pace, Bremen is well worth a visit.
Irina B — Google review
This is a must see statue depicting the most famous chapter of the story where the animal musicians scare away the robbers by creating a scary and noisy creature. It is best to (re-)read the short story first to get a better feel for the statue. We went before 8am and we were the only one there. It was peaceful and we had good morning light. We went later in the day as our traveling mascot, Pedals Puffin, wanted to see if he could join the musicians but alas he didn’t fit in the lineup. We had to wait in turn to get his photo opportunity.

It is full historic and beautiful place to visit in Bremen. I strongly suggest everyone visit it. The environment is so vivid and restless

As a Kurdish wanderer, the story of the Bremen Town Musicians resonates deeply with the spirit of our own people. Here you have these four animals – a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster – each cast aside, deemed "useless" by their former masters, facing a bleak future of being discarded or worse. Yet, instead of succumbing to despair, they unite, their shared vulnerability forging an unbreakable bond. This journey to Bremen, a mythical land of freedom where they hope to become musicians, is not just a physical one; it's a profound act of defiance. They refuse to accept their assigned fate. Their strength lies not in individual power, but in their collective wit and their unique, cacophonous harmony – a sound that scares away the robbers and secures their new home. This mirrors the Kurdish experience so powerfully. For generations, Kurds have been displaced, denied their rights, and subjected to the harsh realities of occupation and attempted cultural erasure by various colonizing and occupying powers. Like the animals, many have been deemed "unwanted" or a "problem." Yet, in the face of such adversity, the Kurdish people have consistently shown an extraordinary resilience. Our resistance, much like the animals' loud and startling "music," hasn't always been about overwhelming force, but about unity, ingenuity, and an unwavering determination to survive and thrive. We, too, have formed alliances, often out of necessity, with those who share our dreams of self-determination. The vision of a free Kurdistan, a "Bremen" where our culture, language, and identity can flourish without threat, continues to drive us. The Bremen Town Musicians found their home not in the city they set out for, but in a place they claimed through collective action. This reminds me that for the Kurdish people, true liberation might not be a pre-ordained destination, but a space forged through our continued struggle, our unity, and our refusal to be silenced. Like those musicians, we continue to sing our song, a testament to our enduring spirit against all odds.

Here you can find the famous statue of the Bremen Musicians. During my stay, a music festival was taking place. I highly recommend all tourists to visit and see this beautiful place.

What a wonderful pit stop on the way to Amsterdam from Hamburg. Standing in the middle of the square while the church tower was ringing was magical. So beautiful, makes you feel like you went back in time.

All the famous attractions in one spot, so if you just want to do the must sees, this is it. St Petri Dom, Böttcherstrasse, the Muscians, the Loch, the Rathaus - all in or just off the square. Other than one small souvenir kiosk, it is not at all touristy and certainly wasn’t crowded on a Monday at 11am. Easy to get to via public transport.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Magical Christmas atmosphere in the heart of Bremen! The Bremen Christmas Market is absolutely enchanting — one of the most beautiful festive experiences I’ve ever had! The whole city comes alive with sparkling lights, the smell of roasted almonds, mulled wine, and gingerbread filling the air. The market stalls are full of unique handmade gifts, traditional German treats, and beautiful decorations that make it impossible not to feel the Christmas spirit. The historic setting in the old town adds to the charm, especially around the stunning Bremen Town Hall and Roland statue. Everyone is so friendly, and there’s a real sense of warmth and joy everywhere you go. Whether you’re sipping hot chocolate, listening to carol singers, or admiring the lights by the river, it truly feels like stepping into a Christmas fairy tale. I would recommend the Bremen Christmas Market to anyone — it’s an unforgettable experience and the perfect way to celebrate the season!

Very interesting place. You will see a diversity of people : ranging from 10 guided tours to opposite manifestations being 20 meters from another and throwing eachother the most evil looks I have seen on earth. Ignoring this, we obviously have a beautiful rest of architecture, that’s quite well preserved since it wasn’t bombed. Anyone who likes seeing pretty houses, interested in German history or has a design/architect background will like it.

Schüttinger Gasthausbrauerei is a lively brewery in the heart of Bremen, offering an authentic experience of local cuisine and craft beer. The rustic atmosphere with long wooden benches provides the perfect setting for enjoying traditional dishes like schnitzels, currywurst, and herring fillets. This oldest brew-pub in Bremen serves only two types of beer - light and dark - both with an unmistakable taste.
We had a nice experience in the first day of your adventure to Denmark , we start from Aden Haag and were looking for a cuisine restaurant. With Germany’s food, found it🩷

Nice restaurant in Bremen. Solid house beer and traditional German food. I am hoping that the waitress was in training, because it was very poor service. They did not check in on us and seemed very confused on how to deal with payment at the end splitting a bill. Good food and atmosphere, poor service.
Kodi H — Google review
We found out that Schüttinger is one of the oldest beer houses in Bremen, so we wanted to try their own beers while we were here. We tried both the blonde and the red — both were good, but my favorite was the red. Luckily, we caught happy hour, so we only paid €3 per glass — unbelievable!

Beer was good, service as well especially a Hindu lady, Unfortunately we were offered a very noisy room and managers were reluctant to our request to find other table. Swine haxe was just aceptable, meet was hard and dry, do not recommend it. Schnitzel was better but nothing extraordinery, just OK.

Good food. But the pre-fabricated "rösti" are not very interesting. Large portions. Fast service. Reasonable prices. More different beers would be good.

Authentic Bremen restaurant with great local and German dishes. A great variety of menu. Food portions are huge and good for people with who wants to eat single meal for day. Ambience is standard and staff is friendly. Nothing to complain but May be food quality could be improved.

We went there without reservations but they still entertained us. I ordered pork knuckle and shared it with 2 persons because it has a very big serving. I also liked the mushroom soup that we order. My husband ordered schnitzel and he also liked it. This is our best dining experience in bremen. We will definitely return!!!

Beck's Mühle, also known as Mühle am Wall, is a charming restaurant located in a restored flour mill dating back to 1900. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the mill offers globally influenced dishes and regional specialties such as Steckrubeneintopf and Bremer Knipp. This historic windmill is a hidden gem in Bremen's city center and stands as the last of the eight windmills from the 17th and 18th centuries.
Utterly charming mill restaurant in a park. Service was attentive and efficient. This mill chap, here as a tourist would have liked a bit more on the mill, but enjoyed it regardless. The trip to the 'mill' will have to wait 🥴

The only negative comment is the lack of parking space. Parking on the street is chancy. Reserving a table is a must.

We had a very nice dinner herein The beer garden. The beer battered fish and potato salad were delicious but save room for the apple strudel. Service was good but seeing staff sitting together for a smoke break in front of customers was a bit uncomfortable.

We took an early dinner at the mill to catch the train back to Hamburg. A bit sad that the 2nd level is closed off. A bit of miscommunication here and there; corona became kola. Food was okay but nothing to be amazed at. With such a great location, things could have been better.

Nice place to have nice coffee, though a little expensive. The mill and it's surroundings are really nice sight by themselves. Special Location in a great Park direct in the City of Bremen. Fresh and delicious foods and regional specials. Wonderful park, amazing view, excellent place to Photograph.

I went for Sunday brunch, but I think I won't come back again for it. Coffee or hot drinks are not included on the brunch buffet (nobody warned me previously about it and I did not see it writen anywhere). No hot drinks refill option. No pastry options (no cakes, no cookies, no croissants). If you arrive later than 10:45 you won't find some of the plates since they are not refilled. Nice staff, but who attended me did not speak English.
B. H — Google review
I’ve always wanted to try this place because the location seems great. It seems in the establishment you mostly pay for the location because the food price/quality wasn’t on par with what i was expection. We’ve ordered the mulle spritz, lillet wild berry, mulle labskaus and the shnitzel. Let’s just say for the price of 93 euros in total this wasn’t worth it. I have eaten better shnitzel and better labskaus around bremen for a lot less money. The presentation was really nice. So all in all i would say you pay for the location and for the presentation but not the taste of the food. The service people were friendly and the atmosphere was cozy.

Nestled at the bustling intersection of Am Dobben and Ostertorsteinweg, Coffee Corner is a delightful café that beckons you to indulge in its scrumptious offerings. Whether you're craving breakfast bagels, fluffy pancakes, or a decadent chocolate cake, this charming spot has something for everyone. On sunny spring or summer days, you can savor your coffee or tea while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere outside. If outdoor seating is full, don’t worry—the interior boasts an inviting ambiance perfect for relaxation.
I had a triple shot cappuccino, and it was lovely. Nice setting and easy to find Wish I could call it my local, backpacking for 6 months This cafe and coffee is a stand-alone, definitely in my top 3 around the 7 Europe countries

I was unable to properly finish the cheese cake that I had taken as that was not tasty at all. Furthermore, the coffee was just ordinary. In addition, the cost is considerably more than others as well. But it's a pleasant, comfortable atmosphere. I gave an extra star just for this.

Extremely pleasant and delicious coffee— the Tiger Chai is excellent. A bit warm inside during the summer months, but plenty of outdoor seating.

Very unfriendly and impatient staff, too expensive for what you get but the interior design and location is great. Would not really recommend.

The cappuccino was good, but I was really disappointed about the cake... New York cheesecake with a raspberry cream, which sounds so delicious to me, but it tasted not self made, like it comes straight from the package from the fridge. No real taste. For that price I expected something better. There are so many other places with better cakes and fresh made. But at least the coffee was good. Inside it's nice and cozy. But too expensive for that quality.
Merveille M — Google review
Excellent coffee, lovely atmosphere and nice staff. The coffee is actually one of the best in Bremen (after making a coffee tasting tour). Two stars off because it’s cash only and it’s freakishly expensive. I do coffee tours very often and to find prices in Bremen similar to London and Copenhagen is bizarre!

I've been going there for years with my friends. Modernes offers a wide variety of drinks 😉 for people that go there. The music 🎵🎶 concerts and music nights are extraordinary each time. The 80s, 90s music nights are also a visit at the music history that discos have promoted for decades. Modernes is ideal for students and for much older people looking to have a great night. It offers great music picks each time to satisfy every person that goes there. I rank Modernes 10 out of 10. It is excellent 👌 in every way.

The music played during DanceNights (TANZNACHT) and even the transistion from one song to another is not so great. The vibes are good. The crowd usually increases after 01.00. Cathedral
Catholic cathedral
St. Petri Dom Bremen, also known as Bremer Dom, is a striking 11th-century cathedral located in the heart of Bremen's old town. The current structure was built between 1043-1072 after its predecessor was destroyed by fire. With its Gothic towers and Romanesque arches, the cathedral offers panoramic city views from its lofty height.
St. Peter's Cathedral (St. Petri Dom) in Bremen is a stunning example of medieval ecclesiastical architecture, located in the heart of the city's market square. The cathedral dates back over 1,200 years, with its current structure built mainly in the Romanesque and Gothic styles. Its most striking features are the two towering twin spires, which rise about 98 meters high and dominate Bremen’s skyline. The exterior is built from dark sandstone, giving it a majestic, weathered look. The facade includes arched doorways, rose windows, and ornate carvings. Inside, the cathedral has vaulted ceilings, ancient crypts, richly decorated altars, and a beautifully carved pulpit. It reflects Bremen's religious, cultural, and architectural history across centuries.
Rafa L — Google review
Huge and beautiful. Last time I had seen it only form the outside; and it looks amazing in the night light. This time we were able to explore the inside. The windows are tainted with beautiful lively paintings. The Chandeliers hanging from the high ceiling just adds more to the overall beauty. They do have a huge organ. The pulpit is really beautiful with all those sculptures carved out of the wood. Overall it is impressive.
Animesh K — Google review
The church is magnificent - both outside and inside. But what I liked most was the corner with children's toys! You don't see that often! Our little one was busy with the toys and let the adults have a good look around.

Sibylle P — Google review
St. Peter’s Church (Peterskirche) in Munich is a spectacular landmark, especially known for its stunning interior in Baroque style. The intricate details, towering ceilings, and beautiful artworks create an unforgettable atmosphere that is definitely worth experiencing. Entry to the church is free, making it an accessible and rewarding stop for anyone visiting the city. However, climbing the tower is a different story. While it costs €4 per adult and €2 per child, the experience doesn’t quite live up to expectations. The ascent involves 265 spiral steps—a good workout, no doubt—but the panoramic view from the top is severely compromised by an unsightly metal mesh. This dense grid makes it nearly impossible to take good photos of the city, which is a big letdown. In an age where resistant glass or less intrusive barriers are available, the current setup feels outdated and frustrating. In short, unless you’re climbing the tower purely for exercise, it’s probably not worth it. The church’s interior is absolutely worth a visit, but the tower climb might leave you disappointed—especially if you’re hoping to capture those perfect panoramic shots of Munich.

I really loved the vibe of this café! The atmosphere is warm and cozy, with tasteful decor that makes you feel right at home. The staff were super friendly and professional — it’s clear they genuinely care about the customer experience. I ordered the DREIKÄSEHOCH BÖRGER, and it was absolutely delicious — rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I paired it with a glass of Lillet, which was a lovely and refreshing choice. The only small downside was the French fries, which had a bit of an oily taste. But honestly, that was a minor issue compared to the overall great experience.
Sasan B — Google review
The location, staff and vibe are 5 stars, the kitchen is good and the food is tasty. However, the kitchen is very understaffed and when you order something other than a fast pizza you should be prepared to wait a very long time. The food was good and there were no complaints there but it takes over an hour. Having an additional person or two in the kitchen would really help.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Relaxed Atmosphere & Great Food – Bar Celona Bremen I visited Bar Celona in Bremen with my family and we had a wonderful time! The atmosphere is super relaxed and welcoming – perfect for a casual family dinner or just a cozy evening out. We ordered a mix of tapas to share – the bacon-wrapped dates, patatas bravas, and aioli with fresh bread were our favorites. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. The kids also found something they liked, which is always a plus! Drinks were great too – I had a refreshing Mojito, and the cocktails overall were well made and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and quick, even though the place was quite busy. We felt well taken care of the entire evening. If you’re in Bremen and looking for a laid-back spot with delicious Spanish-inspired food and drinks, I can definitely recommend Bar Celona!

Service leaves much to be desired. Both times coming here, no one gives you a menu you have to flag someone down to order and trying to pay takes c. 30 minutes. Drinks and food are okay but not worth the hassle of coming here. When there are so many staff members milling about it shouldn’t be that hard to get passable service.

Bolero Schlachte is a charming bar and restaurant located by the river, offering a wide range of Mediterranean specialties, pasta dishes, salads, and steaks. The relaxing atmosphere makes it an ideal spot to unwind while enjoying freshly drawn beer and exceptional cocktails. The location is not as ideal as across the street, but there is something to be said about the quietness and you can still see the water and enjoy nice weather on the Terrasse. The food and drinks are absolutely worth it in my opinion. The selection is really large, but it's great that everyone can find something. I had the chicken wrap here. Might have been a bit bigger if you'd ask me. The taste was good though. Waiting was quite long. We were informed about this on time, but even then you might wanna consider hiring an extra cook on the busy hours/days. We ordered a bottle of wine. Normally you'd pour the first sip in for a customer, and allow them to taste. This didn't happen. The girl I was with made this evening just perfect! Glad we moved inside and got seated on the couch.

Wallanlagen, originally constructed to defend the city, now serves as a serene escape in the heart of Bremen. This historic park, dating back to the 18th century, weaves through the city center from Neustadt to Stephaniviertel. It is cherished by locals for its tranquil atmosphere and scenic views, including the charming Muhle am Wall surrounded by seasonal blooms.
Great place to enjoy your spring, summer, autumn and winter! Basically a great four-seasons park! You can enjoy the flowers during spring and summer and also the falling leaves in autumn and such a great snowy view in winter! We saw the windmill from a distance and decided to go check it out. We were pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant. The food, drinks, and dessert were great. The staff was friendly and prompt with service. The decorations were fun to see and appropriate for a restored windmill. If we make our way back to Bremen, we will be returning here.

We were visiting from overseas. The stroll through the park was lovely and quiet. We didn't visit the windmill as it was closed. We did stop at the cafe a short walk away along the river. Friendly service and a quiet spot to watch the world go by. The owner did warn us about oick pockets and people who may steal valuables off our table if we weren't careful.

Beautiful park with amazing history. In 1802, the city fathers decided to transform the fortress into a place of beauty and culture and since then, the walls have become the first public park in Germany to be decided by parliament. We went along it to same end and it was great walk in peace.

Definitely a great park just in the centre of Bremen with all kinds of sights. Wherever you enter or exit it you will still be inside the city. Historically the lake was a moat with defensive purposes for the city, then transformed into this park!

Beautiful park area that goes around the old town. Great place to have a relaxing walk, very quiet and some lovely views. Love how the city also leaves some of the grass areas for nature to take care of itself. More parks and cities should let nature be, as it would attract bees and wildlife that help sustain the ecosystem.

One of the most colorful and beautiful park in Bremen. It offers quite a few good views, excellent for photography, gvery good for relaxing and good for workout (jogging, running, etc). The windmill itself is quite attractive and what to say about the flower garden in front of it. It is the most vibrant, colorful, ever - changing and attractive garden I have seen. Unique stuff, U can buy as well. Had fascinating items in there.

The museum, housed in the Paula Becker-Modernsohn House is a beautiful building in the Böttcherstrasse. Paula Becker was an expressionist painter of the late 19th and early 20th century and considered one of the most important representatives of early expressionism The museum, founded in 1927, is dedicated to her and you can see a her paintings and drawings there. She died young at the age of 31. The museum is internally connected to the museum with old art and one ticket pays for both. When I was visiting it was busy with groups and students who were copying the art. The museum specifically invites visitors to take up a pencil and paper and use you drawing skills
Seimen B — Google review
It was rather disappointing, cause the paintings of Paula Becker-Modersohn were not that a lot. (You will see more of her works at Kunsthalle Bremen.) But, the museum next to (Ludwig Roselius Museum) was quite interesting.

Paddy's Pit Irish Pub in Bremen is a popular spot with a lively and vibrant atmosphere, especially after a Werder Bremen home game. Despite being crowded, the staff manages it well and creates a perfect atmosphere. The pub is conveniently located near Hauptbahnhof Central Station, making it an ideal place to visit for both locals and tourists.
There was excellent live music both Friday and Saturday nights. The staff were really friendly. Had a lovely time.

I enjoy being here. The staff are very nice and attentive, the drinks are good and I have my peace and quiet. I just wish for their sakes that they'd have more customers, that's why I'm leaving a review. There is no food here though, only drinks. And cash only. You pay at the table before drinks are served, which is a sensible practice when talking alcohol.

Great pub. Staff friendly. But it's best to be sat at a table rather than the bar when it's really busy.

Great range of shots to try here. I’m a fan of melon liquor shots here😋 Very lively vibe here, I’d love to go there just for the vibe it has 🥳 con is it’s very crowded very early and not even a single person could fit in :(

Restaurant
Nestled in the charming Schnoor quarter, Beck's in'n Snoor is a beloved eatery that captures the essence of Bremen’s culinary heritage. This historic restaurant serves up traditional German fare, including local favorites like Knipp and Labskaus, all within an inviting rustic atmosphere. Guests can savor delightful dishes such as broth with egg and meatballs or Bremen-style soused herrings while enjoying a refreshing Beck's beer.
We came to Bremen from Düsseldorf for a weekend. It’s our first time here. We were surprised with nice service, helpful waiters and regional food. I advise you to take Bremen teller, in case you are not familiar with local cuisine. It is unusual but worth to try.

I was hanging out in Snoor area and saw the place. It was a quiet and cosy place. I had schnitzel and beer. It was really tasty. The sauce was really nice and the plate was big enough.

Wow - super cool place that is tucked away in a little alley in the Schnoor. Really cosy, super friendly staff that makes amazing food!

I absolutely love this place. Not only it’s a super cool restaurant, but Oh my! What a great service. We were attended by one of restaurant owner’s son and he went above and beyond to provide us with an excellent service. The food was extremely delicious, we were a group of eight with different backgrounds and we were super satisfied with all the different dishes we had. Can’t wait to be back in a few weeks.
Sandra G — Google review
We got to this place by a recommendation from a city tour. The place is very beautiful, similar to an Irish pub. The food is very very good, and there is good quantity, so even if you eat a lot you'll be full if you finish the plates. Definitely a place I would recommend to have lunch.
Daniel G — Google review
Located within this old part of town, this restaurant offers simple local dishes at decent prices. The interior looks like frozen in time (long time ago), which only adds to the experience. Staff was forthcoming and polite. All in all a pleasant dinner including the "Fischer Frühstück".

We stopped by this lovely tea house in Bremen, and it was such a delightful experience. Their scones are honestly from another world — freshly baked, soft, and absolutely delicious. We stopped by to rest a bit and enjoyed our late morning coffee on a terrace. We went with their house brews supplied by local roasters and got a cream tea cake on a side. All was great. They serve those coffees in a pot, which was handy outside, since it stayed warn and allowed us to enjoy the atmosphere for a longer time period. We especially liked a service there, despite being all full inside, guys served us very quickly outside as well, were friendly and spoke well English. It was a pleasure to be there.

Unbelievably delicious food! I know this might sound silly but their croissants are out of this world! I love every bit about this place, I get it some reviews did not like how they were welcomed initially but that is somewhat expected from a place that is really busy! it's a multi story restaurant that is apparently always packed with customers, we came and asked for a table for 5 or so and we were fine with waiting, we waited for around 10 minutes and once our table was ready we were welcomed properly. I totally recommend visiting this place for a nice breakfast, it is advisable to call them ahead and reserve a table =)

Chilli Club is one of the best places in Bremen that I visit from time to time with my friends. The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff is friendly and professional, and the service is quite fast. As someone who loves Mediterranean cuisine, I tried sushi here for the first time, and honestly, it was better than I expected. I will definitely come back for sushi again!

We (2 person) had sushi, and it was absolutely delicious! I took off one star for the warm sushi because the pieces were different from the cold sushi. I understand that warm sushi usually comes with fewer pieces, but if we had ordered only cold sushi, we probably would’ve been more satisfied. Just an observation—might be helpful for someone deciding what to order. P.S. The California rolls were incredibly delicious! 😋

The Overseas Museum in Bremen is housed in an impressive 19th-century building and showcases natural history exhibits from various parts of the world. The museum has been involved in several research projects, including one focused on developing new technologies for documenting cultural heritage. Additionally, the museum's new exhibition incorporates findings from a research project on medieval shipbuilding and the North Atlantic trade of Hanseatic merchants.
It's a very interesting museum, we had a great time there! There are 3 stores, with different zones: Africa, Asia ( China, Japanese), Amerik, the underwater world, and a lot of others. There are a lot of animals there, histories, historical facts, interactive places, and interesting for adults and kids. We spent 4 hours there and it wasn't enough. The restaurant at the museum , near the entrance is very delicious and fast cooked. The one more +, it's located 3 min from the railway station, so it was easy for us to come there by train from another town. It was a Saturday, but there was not a lot of people, so it was comfortable to be there. Highly recommend and wish everybody to see it

A decent museum of some cultures and religions of the world. The exhibition is recently and very well made, the building is beautiful. At 4 pm an evening ticket costs 7.50€. There is a restaurant attached, open till 9pm. Unfortunately the museum closes at 5pm.

It is known for its vegan-friendly options, delicious cocktails, and friendly staff. Visitors can also enjoy the beer garden during summer.
I love this place! Vegan friendly food (fajita are my favorite), very delicious cocktails (I swear the espresso martini is the best you can find! Ask for it to be served in a tumbler on ice) and I’ve only met sweet and friendly waitresses and waiters. I’ve been coming here for years and I enjoy it every time. The Valentin Submarine Pens, also known as the U-boat Bunker, is a significant historical site located between Bremen and Bremerhaven. This massive structure was intended to be a submarine factory during World War II and was one of the largest of its kind in Germany. Despite never completing a single submarine due to air raids and the allied advance in 1945, it stands as an imposing reminder of that era.
Very moving place. The story telling is good. There is still a lot of work needed to preserve this place, we gladly left a donation, but it is completely free of charge to enter. There is a good app but download it and also download the tour in the app before going inside. Definitely recommend this place as a visit.
Michael — Google review
Eerie feels grasp over while visiting the Gigantic submarine yard of WWII. 23feet deep concrete roof , 23 feet wall! jaw dropped!Beyond imagination! Horror of war ! Over 6000 forced labor died!
Munshed S — Google review
Very happy I swung by this place. It’s an incredibly impressive building, and the history of it was explored and explained quite well. It was especially striking to me to hear the differences they noted between the experience of being a forced labourer/prisoner and what the German officers thought it was like. There was a notable difference in accounts of how hard the officers thought the prisoners had it, and just how inhumane the conditions actually were. They managed to highlight these experiences by letting accounts speak for themselves in rather a nice way. I spent about one and a half hour there before I had to move on, but I wished I’d had a bit longer (I did, to be fair, spend a lot of time taking pictures, so if you haven’t brought a camera you might be fine with 1-1 1/2 hour). It’s quite difficult to grasp just how huge the bunker is, so if you’re at all interested in seeing it, I can only strongly recommend you go!
Ellen L — Google review
The interactive information area seamed to be rather out of order or not finished. Many displays were not available or partially corrupted. As far as the bunker goes it was very promising during my outside walk around. Good information and detail. Inside is was focused around a story cast upon the wall telling stories of the time. Not nearly as interesting as I was hoping for.
Joe W — Google review
So worth visiting, to learn how those who were destined to ‘Extermination through labour’ were cruelly treated. Also to appreciate the bravery of 617 Sqdn who forced the closure of the Pen days before it went into full submarine assembly. The people who run Valentin have created a thoughtful and sympathetic tribute, the film that is projected on to an internal wall highlights the triumph of humanity over the most appalling tyranny.
Nick — Google review
It's a huge structure spanning over 400m long. The reason why the submarine bunker was built is quite interesting. The forced labour leaves a chilling legacy about innocent people being taken advantage of. Today, they provide a lott of information about what really happened. If this is of interest to you, check it out. Mrhaemer adventure.

Spitzen Gebel, located in Bremen's market square, is a historic Gothic-style building that now houses a popular public house. "Spuckstein" at Bremen Cathedral is a small black stone located near the town hall, where locals and tourists alike spit with contempt. This unassuming stone marks the spot where Gesche Gottfried was beheaded in 1831 after being convicted of murdering 15 people with poison between 1813 and 1828. It's a significant piece of Bremen's history and can be easily found near the Bismarck monument in the cathedral's vicinity.
The Spuckstein, or Spitting Stone, is where the infamous serial killer Gesche Gottfried was executed in 1831 near the cathedral, before a crowd of 35,000. A Basalt stone with an engraved cross serves as a memorial. It was the last public execution in Bremen. People spit on the stone to show their disapproval for her atrocities.

Nothing too special and too hard to find. It's on left side of Bremen Stadtmusikanten and close to kiosk cafe.

It's exactly what's in its name - stone to spit on. I just expected that people in 2022 wouldn't do it. But no. DISGUSTING.

Very interesting piece of history. Very easy to find if you know where to look at.
Pedro G — Google review
If you see someone spitting at the ground near the Bismarck monument in the cathedral's side, then likely you are close to this tiny piece of Bremen history. It's a little stone with a carved cross rather plain, but remarkable because is the place where the last public execution took place in Bremen. Gesche Gottfried was a serial killer woman that took the life of 15 people by arsenic poisoning between 1813 and 1827. Arrested and sentenced to death by decapitation, which took place on April 21, 1831 on the place marked by this stone. Since then people has shown public rejection to that event spitting. It's a bit tricky to find it but the excitement of searching for it deserves the time. If you give up after searching for it, below are two hints: 1- Manufactum Warenhaus building: One of the pictures i posted show this building from the stone point of view. 2-St. Petri Cathedral: Other of the pictures i posted show it from the stone point of view.

Was able to spit on the stone a few times while visiting the city. One of the city’s many hidden gems.

Nestled in the charming Neustadt district of Bremen, YellowBird Coffee is a delightful gem that promises an exceptional café experience. This cozy one-story establishment boasts an inviting industrial interior adorned with shiplap wood and thoughtfully arranged furniture, creating a warm atmosphere perfect for relaxation. The highlight here is undoubtedly the coffee; not only does it come beautifully topped with artistic foam hearts, but patrons can also choose from various brewing methods to suit their taste preferences.
Really nice place to have a brunch - a bit price, but average price for These Type of dishes in my opinion It was really tasty and had a nice environment Would definitely recommend it

Great little place in Bremen. Honestly one of the best coffee shops and the food was great. I had overnight oats a flat white and a cinnamon role to share with Noah 1yr old. Definitely going back again to try the rest of the menu.

A truly lovely spot! Super cozy place with delicious food – beautifully presented and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a charming interior and pleasantly low background music that lets you actually enjoy your conversation. Highly recommended!

I have no words to describe this place. The only thing remotely close is, Perfect! I'd tell my friends to go there with their eyes closed, and just enjoy. The level of love put into it, whether it's design, food, preparing, service, vibe in general, is beyond what you'd look for in a Cafe. The location is a bit away from the city center, but you get the chance to visit a different part of Bremen. Through 1 train/bus ride from there you should get to it. Thanks again for the wonderful experience!

a coffee place that offers great breakfast variety and delish! the dishes are not as big as other places but big enough that you will be full and not extremely full that you can't walk (sorry other coffe places its just not fun!). Croissant was to die for and flat whitw on point and not bitter or overly roastes coffee known overall in Germany. I think the eggs were cooked in too much oil but im just overly picky on how much oil goes into my food but overall great taste.

I never had such a good pistachio latte and I was looking for proper one where you can feel the taste of pistachio, yellowbird coffee staff nailed it. I also had a veggie sandwich with seeded bun, was amazing. Place is cozy and nice to spend time either you enjoy a coffee with a book or wanna work on your laptop.

A very nice and cosy café to have a relaxed and peaceful moment. The place is very well decorated with every details masterfully thought of. The coffee is also particularly tasty with fragrant flavors. The pastries, desserts and savory bagels also seemed amazing and vegetarian/vegan friendly.

The Atlantic Grand Hotel Bremen is a sophisticated 4-star superior establishment that perfectly blends modern luxury with the charm of its historic surroundings. Located conveniently near Bremen Town Hall and the iconic statue of the Bremen Town Musicians, this hotel offers stylish air-conditioned rooms equipped with contemporary amenities like free WiFi and flat-screen TVs. Guests can indulge in relaxation at the hotel's spa area, featuring a sauna, steam room, and well-equipped gym.
Excellent stay in the city center – with rare underground parking Positive aspects: We had a great stay at this hotel. One of the biggest advantages — and the main reason we chose this property — is that it offers underground parking, which is a rare find in the city center. The location is truly perfect: the hotel is right in the heart of the city, within walking distance to everything. The room was extremely clean, with modern, new furniture and a very fresh overall atmosphere. The bathroom amenities were high quality, and we especially appreciated the option to open the windows or use air conditioning depending on the weather. The view was also lovely, and the overall design of the room made it feel comfortable and welcoming. Negative aspects: We didn’t try the breakfast, as it was quite expensive — €28 per person, and unfortunately it was not included in the Booking.com rate. The only downside we found during our stay was the bed quality. For such a high-quality hotel, the beds felt a bit too soft, and the pillows didn’t offer enough support. The bedding was also noisy and felt a bit cheap, which slightly took away from the otherwise excellent experience. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel — especially for those arriving by car and wanting to stay centrally.
Elena M — Google review
We stayed at the Atlantic Grand Hotel in Bremen for 3 nights with our 2 cats for our anniversary. During our stay all staff were professional, timely, and friendly. The location is fantastic and the underground parking is great! We did not have any trouble getting into the lot, finding a spot, or getting out. Our room was spacious and clean with a nice view of the city. We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but did order room service once - it was both prompt and delicious. The only problem was the bed. It was awful. The mattresses are old and the mattress support sags in the center. I ended up sleeping on the couch the first night. It was terrible. In the morning, we spoke with the front desk and they sent someone with a board to put under the mattress. This made the stay tolerable, but far from pleasant. Throughout this entire situation the staff continued to be wonderful. They did everything in their power to ensure we were comfortable. It is such a shame about the beds because everything else about this hotel was perfect!
JM A — Google review
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Atlantic hotel. The room was large, modern and clean with plenty of space for clothes. The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the center, and the personnel was very friendly and helpful. The food was also good. I gladly recommend it

A hotel for men! Good location and excellent breakfast. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. Super disappointed by the lack of hair conditioner in the bathroom. I asked at reception and they could sell me a giant bottle for a small fortune or suggested that I walk alone to a nearby pharmacy at 9pm to see if they sell a travel size bottle. Clearly not catering to female clientele.

The Focke Museum in Bremen is a captivating museum complex that offers a diverse collection of historical items and art across multiple buildings. It is a top attraction in the city, providing an immersive experience for those interested in the history of art and culture. The museum features exhibitions on various aspects such as Bremen's history, applied art, life and culture, pre and early history, country living, and even shipping.
First of all. The museum is great and, personally, I really enjoyed it and it's much bigger than it looks. A little tip of mine is that you can open the door of the boat and see inside (on deck and below) I highly recommend it if you want to learn more about Bremen and old squares. The highlight is the boat, I loved it. 🥰

Love the views in the park area. The duckumente are cute. And the old buildings plus old collections things are amazing . Only one point, i found not so nice was there stand also Donald duck and Mickey mouse arts between the vintage things. It damaged a bit of classic atmosphere. The front service was really nice and friendly

I liked it very much. We were without a guide, I think it would be better with him. Friendly staff, not far from the tram stop.

After we bought the tickets at the entrance, we were told that most of the museum was closed because of a renovation, for already two years! There was only one room to visit with a temporary exibition about a duck, which we did not like at all. The farmhouse building on the terrain was open as well, with some furniture, glassware and kid toys, but was not what we came for. Such a shame that the closure is not communicated on the website.

Litfass is a popular and trendy club in Bremen, known for its alternative rock music and hip crowd. The venue offers a wide selection of drinks and cocktails, making it an excellent spot to enjoy delicious beverages at any time of the day. With its bohemian atmosphere, cozy seating, and friendly staff, Litfass provides a great place to relax with friends. While smoking is allowed inside, the outdoor seating along the main street offers a cool vibe for patrons to enjoy their drinks.
Had our first date here. Very nice outdoors place. Service takes a while sometimes, but it's a busy place.
Seb B — Google review
The atmosphere at Litfass was ruined by a very rude waitress with bad vibes. From the moment she attended to us, her attitude was unpleasant, and she showed no interest in providing good service. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place due to the poor treatment we received. There are better options in the area.

Cool vibe. Really nice outdoor seating along the Main Street in Viertel. Drinks were enjoyable.
Leah P — Google review
the service was a no-go, we had a group of guys who were insulting one of us and we complained with the staff. The waiter was too drunk to even open his eyes and took the situation way too lightly. at the end they were just placed at another table and the situation was invalidated by them playing nice with people who should've been thrown out. not coming back

Avoid this place. Staff played USSR hymn to make the guests go home. A simple "we want to close" would've been sufficient.

Litfass hast become my favorite spot in Brem over the years. It's an excellent spot to drop in for a delicious beverage any time of the day. The coffee hot and cold is excellent. And generous and lecker Cocktails. And a long list of fun shots. I could spend all day here looking out over the street from the front patio. It may be too smokey for some people on the inside. My only real complaint is they don't serve Haake in .5 glasses.

Harbour Coffee is a great cafe with good coffee and great design. It's popular among Instagrammers in Bremen, and it's easy to find - just take a walk through the Ostertor quarter.
I absolutely loved my visit to Harbour Coffee! The café had such a cozy and inviting atmosphere—it felt like the perfect spot to relax. While it might seem small to some, I found it to be wonderfully snug and beautifully aesthetic. They accept both card and cash payments, which is super convenient. The matcha and cinnamon roll were absolutely delicious, and the lady at the counter was so kind and friendly, which made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending this gem to friends!
Ramsha R — Google review
I have been waiting a long time to find a really good Flat White coffee in Germany. Finally, Harbour Coffee produced a good one. It was in a small cup, it was of good strength, the coffee was smooth tasting and it was hot. Wonderful. So good that I had to go back in the afternoon for another one. We also had a homemade cinnamon roll that came with vanilla sauce. It was pretty good but we have just spent the last 2 months in Scandinavia and this one wasn’t as soft or had enough cinnamon in it. The inside of the shop is interesting and there is an old cash register there, although they use a modern calculator to add up your bill though. Lots of outdoor seating and some indoor seating.

This place is small, cozy and has a nice, unique ambience. Coffee tasted good and cinnamon roll was yummy. I visited on Sunday, during the lockdown, so it was not that crowded and there was a small queue for take away. They offer few cakes options, croissants and cinnamon rolls. The owner/person in the counter was friendly.

This is a very hipster coffee place that serves very good coffee tea and even horchata, the almond milk drink typical of Mexico. The hot chocolate is also good. There are several sweet foods on the menu. We tried several of them and all were very tasty. Perhaps a special shout-out should go to the lemon thyme tea bread, it was really special. The downside is that there is v little room inside, and the high chairs are rather uncomfortable. If the weather allows take the outdoor seating!
Anamaria S — Google review
Friendly service and cute little deco inside. Coffee is great but cinnamon buns were honestly bit too dry and rock hard to me. Keep in mind that it's a cash only place. Surprisingly a lot of places in bremen is cash only.

A cute small hipster café with friendly staff that makes great Chai latte. The inside space is a little bit small and uncomfortable, so I would recommend sitting outside if it isn’t too crowded (which it often is). Coming from a danish person, the cinnamon bun is as hard as a rock, but still has a decent taste.

(Translated by Google) “You don’t come here, you go there.” I came here by mistake, I thought it was an art gallery in Bremen. On the ground floor there are exhibitions of art by local “masters”. Stone, copper, bronze; the details of all the exhibits are smoothed out, blurred, intertwined so that little is clear, and there are no signatures at all. On the second floor there is modern “art”: cans of Pringles chips with wheels, tacky appliqués made of paper and deflated balloons, etc. However, the Haus itself is very small. Caterina M — Google review
We chose this place for a Sunday breakfast as tourists, and it was indeed quite busy — you may need to wait to find a seat. The café is self-service, so you have to go to the counter to place your order. Around noon, there were lines of about 5–6 people just to order breakfast. Once your food is ready, a buzzer goes off and you pick up your tray — like a fast food / burger restaurant. After eating, you’re expected to leave your tray in the dish rack — similar to a cafeteria. This service style isn’t something we’re very used to in cafés 🙄 For breakfast, I had the Sweet & Salty, and my husband chose the Eggs Benedict. The Eggs Benedict was tasty and similar to what you’d find in many cafés like this. The Sweet & Salty plate was quite filling and also delicious! I especially liked the taste of the herbed cream cheese. The sesame bagel was also nice. If you’re not very hungry, this plate could easily satisfy two people! 👍🏼 Their coffee was good as well. The interior decor of the place looked authentic and cosy.

Had to wait a bit for a table, which was quite understandable for a Sunday morning. Food was delicious. They have a pager system, when your order is ready it beeps. Basically self service. When the prices are a bit north of the average, I would expect a better service. Thumbs up for being a pet friendly establishment!

Cozy and delicious - best Cappuccino I've ever had. Fabulous plants and sofas. Fantastic breakfast. Might be too crowded - we had to wait a few minutes. Climbing a few stairs required both to enter the restaurant and the outside area.
Johannes V — Google review
Place is popular, better reserve a place in advance, we were happy not to wait too long to get a table for two :) We had a Vegan Mezzeteller and P&J pancakes. Mezzeteller was very nice, but it could use an extra slice of bread/bagel, because the ratio of dips to bread was a bit not even, so that some of it was wasted. Dips were nice, but so called „Pink Hummus“ (beetroot sauce idk), was too plain and boring in a taste, it didn’t really go with everything else from the plate. Additionally, we took Chai Latte with homemade Sirup and big cappuccino. Chai latte was amazing, strongly reminded me of Indian Masala Chai, but cappuccino was disappointing. It had an uneven dark foam on the top, right after it was prepared, which meant that it’s gonna be a bitter coffee, and so it was. It was okay, but later I could also feel how sour the espresso was, which was not a good feature. Maybe they didn’t check their espresso in a while, or just overdo mine, or it could also be a poor mixing technique. But overall, food was good, staff is really cool and charming, they try their best during the heavy hours, and we loved the ambiance very much!

Hotel
The ACHAT Plaza City-Bremen is a modern hotel offering bright rooms, a lounge bar/dining room, and a rooftop relaxation area with city views. The hotel's design incorporates exposed brick and floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a sleek and sophisticated ambiance. Situated conveniently in the city center, it provides easy access to popular attractions such as Bottcherstrasse, the Town Musicians, and Town Hall.
Great location for exploring the city. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a garden room which was clean and quiet. The spa was nice, it's small but the facilities are good. We would definitely stay again.

Not sure how this has +4 stars on Google. Stayed one night for a business trip in Bremen and it was awful to say the least. Firstly, I arrived at 2:50 PM after travelling for +14 hours and was told by a male front desk worker that I would have to wait 10 minutes as check-in was at 3:00 PM. Completely fair. At 3:15 PM I asked for an update on the room and he said I would have to wait another 10-15 minutes for the room to be ready. At 3:45 PM (waiting for almost one hour) I started getting impatient and frustrated as I didn’t get an update, or any form of apology for the inconvenience. Not sure if it’s the fact that I’m not a local/not German speaking that I was treated so poorly by the male associate, but two other groups were able to check-in and enter their rooms right away. Finally, I approached a female front desk worker and she was able to accommodate me in a different room. She was very friendly and was able to resolve the issue within 5 minutes (wish she had helped me all along). In addition, no one offered to help bring my luggages to my room. I was okay to pay for the support but it was never offered. Bad first impressions, but I was still ready to give them a second chance, hoping the room was worth the wait. I enter my hotel room which was supposed to be “ready” and the body soap dispenser in the shower was broken. The hand soap in the bathroom was low, and one of the toilet paper rolls was still from the previous guests before me (only a few sheets left). Also while the location is close (15-20 min walk) to major attractions, I wouldn’t say it’s in the best part of town. Felt quite uncomfortable walking alone in the streets nearby during the day. Gym hours start at 8:00 AM which doesn’t work if you’re on business travel and need to start your day early. The only positive feedback I have would be that the bed was comfortable. Overall, I would suggest picking any other hotel other than this one during your stay in Bremen. Especially if you’re on business travel with not too much time in your itinerary for delays and other inconveniences.

Was no hot water, they don’t change towels and bed sheets. Some personal dont speek even basic English. The pillows and blanket really bad.
Hopersvil — Google review
The staff are friendly, polite, and very attentive. Breakfast is also quite good. However, the hot water issue we have been experiencing for the past three days unfortunately overshadows these positive aspects. What makes it even more frustrating is that the solution offered was to send guests to another hotel just to take a shower. Coming back tired from work and having to go to a different hotel for a shower is really unreasonable.”
Koray C — Google review
Stayed here for 2 nights and was quite disappointed, especially considering the 4.4 rating, which feels very misleading. The biggest issue: no air conditioning in the room. There’s only a ventilation system that does nothing to cool the space, and the portable fan provided is loud and ineffective — not ideal for rest or sleep. Additionally, there was no coffee maker in the room, which is pretty basic for a hotel at this level. As a Gold member on the booking platform, I was supposed to receive a free drink per day, but the receptionist didn’t inform me where or how to claim it. Lastly, the breakfast was underwhelming and not up to the standards of a 4-star hotel. Overall, the hotel is just average at best, and certainly doesn’t justify its high rating. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially in warmer weather.
Abdul M — Google review
Location is very good, walking distance to the center and main touristic attractions. The check in was quick. The room was very clean, nicely arranged. No toothbrush or other amenities apart from shower gel and soap. They have a strange way of accessing the gym and sauna. You have to go to 4 floor, walk until the end, take other elevator to 5th floor. Gym was good equipped. Sauna was nice as well, it also had a small relaxation space. The wet sauna was not functional while there. The hotel did not have slippers in the room and ran out of bathrubs for sauna. A bit inconvenient to walk from the gym locker, through the gym towards the sauna. A great stay overall, might book again.
Andrei P — Google review
Location wise it's very good to explore. Hotel customer satisfaction wise its very disappointing. There is no air conditioning in rooms, you have to pay for a water bottle and tea coffee in your room, which is mandatory in most of the four star hotels nowadays. Cleaning services needs to be ordered if you need which is hard to understand. Buffet breakfast has very limited availability and on higher prices.

Performing arts theater
The Theater am Goetheplatz is a grand neoclassical structure that has been a cultural gem in Bremen since 1913. It offers a diverse repertoire including opera, musicals, dance, and classic drama across its four dedicated performance spaces. Situated in the artists quarter of the city, it attracts visitors from far and wide. The theater hosts classical concerts, opera performances by visiting companies, and occasional English-language theatrical productions.
Definitely a charming and satisfying experience! Cozy and elegant atmosphere, without losing its charm with modernism. It is accessible, and the staff is always extremely helpful and attentive to safety! I really enjoyed my experience! The acoustics are very good and you feel transported into the scenes and every moment with the magnificent orchestra! I will be back more often!!!

All the seats have a good view of the stage. The repertoire is also really good. The singers of the operas are really good, they have clear choices and are expressive. The prices are fair. The location of the Theater in Bremen is also good, you can get a bus or a train from the main station to get there.

Wohnzimmer Bremen is a cool and cozy bar with a retro vibe, designed to resemble a living room with its 70s-style wallpaper and vintage lampshades. The highlight of the place is the Super Nintendo, adding a nostalgic touch to the atmosphere. The bar is popular among hip visitors who enjoy chatting over drinks in this unique setting. The menu, made from old BRAVO magazines from the 90s, adds an extra layer of nostalgia.
One of the best Bars to visit in bremen on weekdays as well as weekends. Great Cocktails and German Beer on the tap as usual are great. Good service, Great ambience and fantastic crowd. Excellent location (Viertel) Lot of eating places even late in the night make it perfect for the night outs. In summer, You can enjoy the sun and beer!
Mrityunjay S — Google review
Cool, cozy bar with a retro vibe. Menus are made out of old BRAVO magazines from the 90’s so you can relive the worst time of your life. Visitors are pretty hip so plenty of people to talk to. Has a smoking lounge inside and a nice variety of mixed drinks to order. Drinks are a bit expensive but not weak. The Long Island is reasonably priced for what you get. They even have a SNES so you can have a nice night out with friends even on a Sunday since it’s not as crowded.
Channing W — Google review
Very cute place with comfy seats, great music and kind personnels. It is also not expensive and great place for a friend group.
Alper K — Google review
Such a cool bar with a modern, hipster interior. I was recommended this bar by a local and was not disappointed. The design and ambience was very Berlin - cool and modern. From the mismatched furniture to the little bunk-bed raised sitting mezzanine level and the graffiti on the walls, the whole place was cohesively mismatched. The staff were friendly, though I think the prices were a little on the steep side.
Tim C — Google review
Nice atmosphere, but at some point they asked us to pay even though we were not leaving. They were rushing us to pay. It was a bit weird for me, I dont know if this is common practice in Germany.
Gustavo R — Google review
The drinks were alright due to the machine, however, the waiter was rather unfriendly and the design of a vintage living room wasn't to my personal liking. It looked rather old and more or less shabby. The seats which were different arm chairs were quite comfy, though.
Claude E — Google review
The place is good, specially with the roof, also they have a smoking area, the wc is clean
Qusay A — Google review
Although it is called Wohnzimmer it doesn't have the atmosphere of a real living room. Nevertheless, service is good. Staff is polite and speaks English. Large variety of drinks. During summer time, you can also use benches on the street. However, the downside is inside of place. You do sit in cozy chairs but your friends end up being far away which makes conversation quite difficult.

TOWER Musikclub is a vibrant gem located in the heart of Bremen's student district, making it a must-visit for indie and rock music lovers. This lively venue has earned its reputation as a cultural cornerstone of the city's nightlife, hosting an impressive lineup of live performances from both local talents and international acts.
Small venue which is great for shows like last night with Darkest Hour, Bleeding Through, Shai Hulud and Denial of Life! October 3rd 2025

Well. The Music there is entirely same flow and one can experience the repetition for the whole Night. There is no Hype and Elevation at all. Spending too much of money seems Unworthy. My Friday Busted.

The Tower is one of the best music Night Clubs in Bremen. It has more than one floors and each floor plays different music pics for the the clients. The Tower also organises live concerts. And amazing club in Bremen. My friends and me have been going there for years.
Γρηγόριος T — Google review
Very small venue with great sound. Large open pit area, and elevated bench seats on the side . Very cozy and warm vibe, great for intimate shows with your fav hardcore or punk rock bands. Men's restroom is horrendous though. Good luck.
Cassidy B — Google review
The Tower Bremen is an alternative Clubhouse near the central station. The place itself is good with two floors, on the first one there is a small but good Dancefloor, a stage(where live bands play sometimes), two bars and some sofas, on the second floor is allowed to smoke, there are the toilets, a wardrobe, another dance floor with a bar and a kicker table. The beverage prices are fair, and until now I only had good experiences with the staff working there. If you are inclined to go to Tower I can heartily recommend going there on Tuesdays, on Student Night, they play mostly Rock on the first floor and Rap on the second, it is always full and lively around 1am. Everytime I went there on Saturdays/Fridays the place was quite empty and not much going on.

Eisen in Bremen is a small and lively bar that offers a mix of beer, cocktails, rock music, and football on TV. It's a must-visit spot for an evening stroll, especially during the happy hour from 9 to 10 pm when they offer discounted prices on drinks. The place has a rugged charm and is often crowded with loud music but exudes an honest and authentic vibe.

Cheap beer, nice people, good atmosphere, a place worth to sit and have a cold one watching football. TV could be bigger but you hear the commentary very well so it evens out.

Thr interior has not changed much from the day it opened and prominently features metal. But the music- it used to be only metal but now is more diverse. For me this leads to the deduction of one star...

I have been to many bars in Europe. This one stands out as the friendliest, most charming little drinking venue I have visited - my home away from home. Electric Bingo is immensely enjoyable. Although I will admit, I was rather sideways by that point...perfect beer (go local), and a fantastic welcoming crowd. I haven't enjoyed a pub so much in years, and I will definitely go here once I get to Bremen again in the future.

The Blauer Fasan Bar in Bremen is a go-to spot for some of the best cocktails in the city. The bar offers a wide selection of standard and custom-made cocktails in a cozy atmosphere, with efficient service ensuring minimal waiting time. Tucked away from the riverfront, this bar serves high-quality drinks, including both classics and unique creations until late at night.
I've had two amazing experiences here, now. This of my favorite bars in Bremen with extraordinary cocktails, awesome service, a lovely atmosphere, great music, and competitive prices, I would say. The new bartender is also doing an awesome job 😊 'til next time! 🥂

We had an amazing experience. Our waiter, Maurice, welcomed us with warmth and kindness. He was not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the cocktails and drinks. He answered all our questions with patience and enthusiasm, and even asked the right questions to help us choose the perfect drinks. Throughout the evening, he provided attentive and professional service with a genuine smile. A truly outstanding experience, other than the fact that the drinks are on point!

Cool place. Seated quickly, clear and tasty looking cocktail menu. Delicious cocktails, my Moscow Mule was that perfect blend of zest and sharpness. Lecker. Friendly and attentive waitstaff. Reasonably-priced. Loved this cocktail bar to end our evening. I have given three reviews for the nights 2 x 5star and a 1-star. I’m just so happy the 5 stars came at the end of the evening. Thank you Blauer Fasan.

Blue Pheasant Bar is located in the historical Böttcherstrasse in Bremen's old city. The cocktail bar displays a nice interior design with attention to detail. Cocktails tasted partly good (e.g. Bangkok Mule), some tasted ordinary (e.g. Margarita). Bottom line is, you don't get superb cocktails here even though the bar might present itself this way. Atmosphere is nothing special, typical seen and be seen location. Staff is over attentive but nice. Prices are too high for the value you get in return.

The Glockenspiel House is a must-see attraction in Bremen, Germany. Located on Bottcherstrasse, it features a stunning outdoor performance by 30 Meissen porcelain bells and rotating panels depicting famous seafaring explorers and aviators. The carillon rings multiple times a day, lasting about 8 minutes each time. The building itself has a rich history, with the addition of the porcelain bells between its gables in 1934.
The Glockenspiel has 30 bells of Meissen porcelain. The carillon chimes three times a day while wooden panels depicting pioneering seafarers and aviators appear on a rotating mechanism inside the tower. We didn't know about this and just we were lucky to be exactly on time , listen to it and see. That was awesome experience.
Paweł — Google review
Here there are porcelain bells that play 10 different melodies each hour between 12 noon and 6pm during the months April to December (from January to March it is only 3 times per day at 12, 3pm and 6pm). You should not miss it as it is very unusual to hear porcelain bells and they definitely make softer tones. At the same time there are 10 different panels that rotate around, which depict different Atlantic crossings from the Vikings, to Columbus, Lindbergh and Zeppelin.
Simon R — Google review
Nice brick house with carillon containing 30 Meissen porcelain bells. You can listen to the musical carillon performance every day at 12, 15 and 18 (from 01.01 to 31.03) and every hour from 12 till 18 (from 01.04 to 31.12). It's a very interesting performance and the place around is crowded during the carillon performance time. Also, during the performance, the 10 panels are rotating in the left side of the building and showing famous sailors and aviators.
Irina K — Google review
Tiny alleys tucked away from the Main street. The vibe is very diagonal alley-ish.
Tone S — Google review
You will not see and hear a carillon of Meissen porcelain often or at all, but you can in this street. It sounds every hour from 12 - 18 but you can use your smartphone and scan a QR code on the wall to run it in between
Seimen B — Google review
Very interesting craftsmanship and really enjoyable to watch and listen. The little narrow alleys along there are really beautiful.

Its intimate atmosphere and exceptional acoustics create a perfect backdrop for live performances that resonate with both locals and visitors alike. The club's traditional basement setting adds to its charm, making it a unique spot to enjoy good beer and engage in some friendly foosball matches.
I have not been here since 1988. I spent a lot of time here, and was able to be a friend of the owner back then. Always had a great time there!

I came here with 3 friends, its slightly alternative and the music was certainly interesting. They played niche 90s rock songs. The entrance-fee was cheap and drinks were fairly priced aswell. It starts to liven up around midnight. DJ didn't really listen to wishes though, refused to play a song cause it came out in 1985 (not 90s) and then played a song from 2011. So all in all it was ok but we won't be coming back.

Hard to find when it's nighttime, Christmas markets are up and throngs of ple drinking gluhwein around. It was shown and explained to me by a local so we get to know this: according to legend, the town's "famous musicians" (u shld know who by now) now lived underneath the town (!!!) and if we dropped coins (in the middle slot) fast enough we get to hear all 4 sounds make by them!!! We tried like 5-6times, only on the last attempt (a 5c €coin) did we manage to hear 1 so its either trial & error (coins type etc) or the mechanism not really working well, so do try with 5c euros and see ur luck!!! And attract puzzling onlookers as you be needing to really bend down closer.. Ahhahah
