Böttcherstraße is a renowned street in the historic center of Bremen, featuring expressionist architecture and a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages. Spanning 100 meters, it offers an array of attractions including the Paula Modersohn-Becker Museum, artistic shops, sweet and food stores like Bremer Bonbon Manufaktur, and dining options.
Very nice architecture and very cool place . Must visit when you are in Bremen

A small butcher street dating back to the 1920s. A charming area of small, narrow streets, it houses shops, restaurants, museums, a bell tower, and beautiful works of art. A must-see. The bells play music.

It is really a very beautiful street designed down to the smallest detail. As you walk through it, you see different details and it excites you. Along the way you can find boutique shops, designers, and a museum.

Must visit when you are visiting Bremen. My most favourite part of Bremen’s old city center. The beautiful red bricks buildings and sculptures resembles those Flemish architectural style. A small street which takes you back in the history. Very charming and peaceful for the time being; when you are in this street. It can be crowded depending on which part of the day you are visiting. I have been here twice; and the second visit was better with less crowd.
Animesh K — Google review
This street was really cool. Felt like I stepped back in time. Has some unique shops along the way as well. Worth a stop when you’re in town.

Historical place
Bremen Town Hall is a stunning Gothic building in Bremen, Germany, known for its ornate interior featuring a marbled lobby and gilded Art Nouveau chamber. It is a popular tourist destination with numerous antiques and beautiful decorations adorning its walls. This architectural masterpiece dates back to the Gothic era and offers visitors the opportunity to stroll through its historic halls. Easily accessible by car or train, it is one of the oldest and most unique places in Germany.
I totally recommend visiting the Bremen Rathaus. We had an amazing experience during our weekend trip to Bremen. The building is very beautiful and we enjoyed its interior. Mostly, we wish to thank the staff for the attention they paid to us: as the only non-German speakers of our booking time, they arranged a specific visit in English: our guide, Ms Britta - I hope I spelled the name correctly - was lovely and passionate about the history of Bremen and its Townhall. She made us feel welcomed and we enjoyed our tour so much! Totally recommended!
Filippo T — Google review
Magnificently artistic! Bremen Town Hall (Bremer Rathaus) is one of the most beautiful examples of brick Gothic and Weser Renaissance in Europe and has rightly been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2004. Around 1400, when Bremen's development was at its peak, a new town hall was planned on the initiative of mayor Johan Hemeling and councillors Friedrich Wigger and Hinrich von der Trupe. Between 1405 and 1410, a Gothic "Saalgeschossbau" (hall building) was built on the northeast side of Bremen's Marktplatz, right in front of the archbishop's palace. A clear demonstration of the city's self-confidence in relation to ecclesiastical authority. The lavishly decorated façade of the town hall features statues of Charlemagne and the seven prince-electors, demonstrating Bremen's claim to being a free imperial city. The Renaissance brought several modifications: between 1545 and 1550 an extension with three floors, containing a new Wittheits-Stube and offices, was built between the town hall and the archbishop's palace. In 1595-1596 the front façade was modified for the first time: the Gothic windows with their typical pointed arches were replaced by large rectangular windows. Between 1608 and 1612, during the second modification, the front façade was given its Weserrenaissance appearance: the two middle windows and the proclamation door were replaced by a huge avant-corps (a facade extension) crowned with a Flemish gable. The baroque extension from 1682/83 is best visible on the corner where the statue of the Bremer Stadtmusikanten stands. With the German mediatisation of 1803 the archbishop's palace fell to the municipality of Bremen, and in 1818/19 it was partly dismantled and rebuilt as a neoclassical "Stadthaus" (municipal city hall). The enormous population growth in the 19th century and Wilhelminism made it necessary to enlarge the town hall. Thus the "Stadthaus" was demolished and between 1919 and 1913 the "Neues Rathaus" was built, a neo-Renaissance creation by the architect Gabriel von Seidl. All in all, Bremen today has a magnificent building complex that is not only very beautiful, but also represents the centuries-long development of civil autonomy in the Holy Roman Empire.
Koen — Google review
The inside of the Rathaus is pretty nice, however, you can only enter with a guided tour, and there is no tour for foreigners, only in German, which is unfortunate
Gajdán G — Google review
Absolutely stunning living example of Gothic architecture showcasing the rich history of that era. Really a masterpiece. The history takes it back to 15th century.
Animesh K — Google review
In the heart of Bremen stands the beloved statue of the Bremen Town Musicians — a fairy tale brought to life. A donkey, dog, cat, and rooster stacked together, reminding us that teamwork and hope can overcome even the toughest challenges. 🌿🤝
Ali A — Google review
Such a beautiful and old town hall. Inside and out, this building is just amazing.  The entry fee is €9 per person. The English tour starts at 12 p.m on Monday (not sure about other days), and the tour guide is very knowledgeable and friendly. If you're visiting Bremen, then you should also visit Bremen Town Hall. You won't regret it.
Marina T — Google review
Our guide spoke perfect English and explained the history with many funny and interesting stories. The magic was that the building was not damaged during WW2 and has wonderfully intricate plaster, wood work and tiles..

Museums
Nestled in the serene Wallanlagen Park, just a stone's throw from Bremen's bustling market square, the Kunsthalle Bremen stands as a beacon of artistic heritage. This esteemed art museum boasts an impressive collection that spans over 600 years of European art history. Visitors can marvel at masterpieces by renowned artists such as Rubens, Rembrandt, and Picasso alongside contemporary works from innovative creators like Nam June Paik.
This is a jewel of an art museum. The artworks in the museum's permanent collection themselves are beautiful, however what sets the Kunsthalle Bremen apart is the innovative and interesting manner in which it displays its content; every gallery offered something new and fresh. Other institutions should take note.

I don’t consider myself someone who deeply in art, but I think the curator did an incredible job. The notes and texts didn’t just offer insight into the artist’s life. they also explained artists’ vulnerabilities and inner struggles. This will help everyone (even they are not deep in art) truly connect with the work. Honestly, this was the most beautifully curated museum I’ve seen anywhere in Germany. Huge kudos to the entire team at Kunsthalle Bremen 🫶🏻
Nihan D — Google review
this museum is worth your visit. It’s about an hour and a half to two hours the most the walk-through they have some permanent exhibit and the first floor has some really interesting exhibits. Unfortunately, most of the first floor did not have English subtitles like the rest of it so that was a little harder for me to really get what I wanted out of it. It has a gift shop and it has a café

Nice Art Gallery with a decent permanent exibition and excellent curated special Highlights in the Art calendar which are not to be missed. Thank you to a very professional and friendly Team.

A splendid museum with an exceptional collection. The main ground floor was excessively crowded, maybe because it was a weekend. I had the privilege of admiring works by Van Gogh, Monet, Cezanne, and Picasso. The collection on display from the 14th century to the present day, predominantly featuring West European art. In terms of management, they can improve the waiting time at the wardrobe. The waiting line was until outside. Also buying the ticket took longer then expected, only one person selling tickets for all the guests.
Andrei P — Google review
Spent about 3 hours here. A total delight to senses. I read every single story about the painters and artists from 16th century uptil 20th century. How the perceptions and actions of ancestors evolved around art, women, poverty, breastfeeding, economy, love, forests, mythology, religion, god, and so on. Tales around critics, travellers, craftsmen, businesses. I am a sucker of history. This fueled my soul with much needed dose of intellect. Guided tours were available. I went on my own. Ticket was priced at 10 EUR for adults. It was open on a Sunday.
Rachna S — Google review
Surprisingly one of the best art museums that I've been to - and i had never heard of it before going there on a whim. Not just a beautiful collection that was interestingly presented, but also the curators have made the art pieces much more accessible than most other museums do by adding very interesting texts to many of it's pieces. the text went deeper than regular such text without being too long. Loved that! The personell were also very nice and helpful. They had a nice shop and lockers you could place tour bag in. The lockers costed 2 Euros (that you got back when opening) - i didn't have any euros on me so the personell lended me a coin in exchange for an id that was returned when I left. So nice!

I was here attending the exhibition named Icons. It was very good in fact. Many beautiful exhibits, some of them are very famous in fact, they are definitely worth to be seen. I really enjoyed it. The main exhibition is closed now, I think until May 2020. There is a cafe and shop inside. In the shop there are many different books about art, but the most of them are in German language.

Universum Bremen is a captivating science center in Bremen, offering around 250 interactive exhibits that encourage visitors to touch and explore. The museum's striking metallic building resembles a crashed or parked UFO, making it an attraction in itself. Divided into three main themes - Technology, Humans, and Nature - the museum provides an engaging experience for all ages. It's a perfect destination for hands-on learning about the wonders of science and technology.
A place can play and explore with kid for whole day. They have indoor play space, lot of Lego and soft play. And the outdoor playground has a very high lookout. The cafe here have lot of tasty food, hotdog, cheese cake, cookie, pancakes and ice cream.

Entertaining if you are a young restless kid. Interesting if you are a child carer or if like me, didn't pay too much attention at your science classes. Unfortunately a number of installations were out of order.
Melissa Z — Google review
This is a whole day visit activity. We didn’t even get to see all the permanent exhibit space in the two hours we were there, let alone the exhibition space or the outdoor activities. Great activities for everyone, not just kids, lots of older individuals and couple as well as teenagers and families. Staff were great and there are roving Scouts helping visitors understand the science.

This place is amazing to visit with children. Too many experiments to explore and it’s also a great way for kids to understand the basics of physics and enjoy whilst trying and have fun as well. It’s definitely a must-go place in Bremen.

This museum was the highlight of our trip. If you're a geek or have an insatiable curiosity for all aspects of life, particularly nature, the human body, and technology, then you're bound to adore this place. It's an interactive museum where you can experiment with your own hands, delving into the realms of physics and scientific laws. We felt like kids again, rediscovering the world as if it were our first time.

It was the first time visiting this kind of science museums .. I was very very happy with every moment I discovered something new there.. Incredible and unbelievably interesting technological and informative ideas ... Full of colorful details.. it is absolutely one of the best places you can visit with your kids to improve their intelligence and interests about everything there !! It is much more better than playing games on tablets or watching videos on YouTube !! Me as an adult I was very curious about everything and kept asking my friend what is this and what is that :D .... Yeah I enjoyed a lot .. that's why I'm sure children and teens will do also :)) ♡ Highly recommended!!!!

The Town Musicians of Bremen is a famous bronze statue in Bremen, Germany, depicting the donkey, dog, cat, and rooster from the Brothers Grimm's fairy tale. Created by artist Gerhard Marcks in 1953, it represents the popular German folktale about four animals seeking a new life as town musicians. The statue has become an iconic landmark in Bremen and attracts many visitors.
As someone who loves history and architecture, Bremen completely captivated me. It’s easily the most beautiful city I’ve ever visited. Walking through the city centre felt like stepping into a storybook; every corner seemed to tell a tale of its rich past, with stunning historical buildings and intricate architectural details. The famous Town Hall and Roland Statue are mesmerizing landmarks, and the cobblestone streets add to the city's charm. The Christmas market, especially just before Christmas Eve, was like a dream come to life; magical, enchanting, and filled with wonder. The festive stalls, glowing lights, and the aroma of mulled wine and roasted almonds created an atmosphere that was nothing short of extraordinary. It felt as though I had walked into one of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales, complete with twinkling lights and joyous holiday spirit. The blend of history, culture, and festive magic in Bremen made it an unforgettable experience. It’s not just a place you visit but one you feel deeply connected to, as if it was pulled straight from the pages of your favorite childhood storybook. Bremen is truly a city of wonders, especially during the Christmas season!
Bithy S — Google review
Bremen is a nice town. Interesting story around the musicians. Do not miss the church, the traditional stores including their famous chocolate, the candy making store, the narrowest street in germany as well as the manhole in the main square where you can listen to the animals for a coin. A great day trip place near Hamburg.
Carmen A — Google review
It cute, definitely a line to take photos of this statue. Wonderful little display in the town centre. Good to see. But it's just a statue.
Kay D — Google review
Hello, I'm not the best storyteller and photographer, but if you're interested!! The city is beautiful and full of surprises. You just have to see the charm that Bremen can show and give. As one of!!! the most beautiful cities in Germany. I'm happy that I saw with my own eyes what you can see there. Yes, and a little bit of what I saw.
Normunds Z — Google review
No visit to Bremen is complete without seeing the famous Town Musicians statue. This beloved bronze monument, depicting the donkey, dog, cat, and rooster from the Brothers Grimm fairytale, is as charming in person as you'd hope. It's become a wonderful tradition for visitors to make a wish while holding the donkey's front legs. You'll see the shiny, worn bronze from countless wishes made there. The statue is smaller than some expect. It's nestled in a perfect spot right next to the stunning Town Hall. Be prepared to wait a moment for your turn to take a photo, as it's deservedly one of the city's most popular attractions. A truly must see piece of art.
Khalid A — Google review
Bremen – A City of Character and Quiet Charm I found Bremen to be a city full of understated beauty. Its historic center, with landmarks like the Town Hall and the Roland statue, speaks to its rich past, while quiet streets and riverside paths offer a peaceful atmosphere. The Bremen Town Musicians statue adds a whimsical touch, especially for those who appreciate folklore. It’s not a loud or flashy destination, but if you enjoy history, culture, and a slower pace, Bremen is well worth a visit.
Irina B — Google review
This is a must see statue depicting the most famous chapter of the story where the animal musicians scare away the robbers by creating a scary and noisy creature. It is best to (re-)read the short story first to get a better feel for the statue. We went before 8am and we were the only one there. It was peaceful and we had good morning light. We went later in the day as our traveling mascot, Pedals Puffin, wanted to see if he could join the musicians but alas he didn’t fit in the lineup. We had to wait in turn to get his photo opportunity.
Simon R — Google review
As a Kurdish wanderer, the story of the Bremen Town Musicians resonates deeply with the spirit of our own people. Here you have these four animals – a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster – each cast aside, deemed "useless" by their former masters, facing a bleak future of being discarded or worse. Yet, instead of succumbing to despair, they unite, their shared vulnerability forging an unbreakable bond. This journey to Bremen, a mythical land of freedom where they hope to become musicians, is not just a physical one; it's a profound act of defiance. They refuse to accept their assigned fate. Their strength lies not in individual power, but in their collective wit and their unique, cacophonous harmony – a sound that scares away the robbers and secures their new home. This mirrors the Kurdish experience so powerfully. For generations, Kurds have been displaced, denied their rights, and subjected to the harsh realities of occupation and attempted cultural erasure by various colonizing and occupying powers. Like the animals, many have been deemed "unwanted" or a "problem." Yet, in the face of such adversity, the Kurdish people have consistently shown an extraordinary resilience. Our resistance, much like the animals' loud and startling "music," hasn't always been about overwhelming force, but about unity, ingenuity, and an unwavering determination to survive and thrive. We, too, have formed alliances, often out of necessity, with those who share our dreams of self-determination. The vision of a free Kurdistan, a "Bremen" where our culture, language, and identity can flourish without threat, continues to drive us. The Bremen Town Musicians found their home not in the city they set out for, but in a place they claimed through collective action. This reminds me that for the Kurdish people, true liberation might not be a pre-ordained destination, but a space forged through our continued struggle, our unity, and our refusal to be silenced. Like those musicians, we continue to sing our song, a testament to our enduring spirit against all odds.

Schnoor, Bremen's oldest district, is a charming neighborhood filled with 15th and 16th century timber-framed houses lining cobblestone streets. The name "Schnoor" actually means "line" in German, reflecting the way these houses are built side by side. Walking through this historical area feels like stepping into a fairytale, surrounded by galleries, cafes, restaurants, bars, and shops.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Schnoor in Bremen, and I must say, it was one of the most charming experiences I've had in a long time. This historic neighborhood is a must-see for anyone traveling to Bremen. The narrow, cobblestone streets are lined with beautifully preserved 16th-century houses, each one telling a story of the past. The atmosphere is enchanting, with quaint shops, cafes, and restaurants tucked away in every corner. I loved getting lost in the winding streets, discovering hidden gems, and admiring the intricate architecture. The Schnoor is a true gem of Bremen, and I felt like I had stepped back in time. Whether you're a history buff, a foodie, or just looking for a unique experience, the Schnoor is a must-visit destination. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the authentic side of Bremen. *Tips:* - Take your time to wander the streets and discover the hidden gems. - Visit the local shops and cafes to get a feel for the community. - Don't miss the stunning architecture and historic landmarks. *Overall:* The Schnoor in Bremen is a truly unforgettable experience that will leave you with lasting memories. I fell in love with its charm and character, and I'm sure you will too!

We absolutely loved exploring the Schnoor district in Bremen. It's a truly enchanting and picturesque neighborhood that feels like you've stepped back in time. Wandering through the narrow, cobblestone lanes lined with tiny, historic houses is a magical experience. The area is filled with unique boutiques, artisan workshops, and cozy cafés, each housed in a building with its own character. The atmosphere is lively yet intimate, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll, shopping for unique souvenirs, or simply soaking in the fairytale-like ambiance. It's the heart and soul of old Bremen and an absolute must-see for any visitor. We highly recommend taking your time to explore every little alley.

If there was a German Harry Potter, then it would be filmed in Bremen. The Schnoor district is Bremen’s oldest and most charming neighborhood, with winding alleyways and beautifully preserved half-timbered houses dating back to the 15th–18th centuries. Worth visiting 🙌🏼

Beck's Mühle, also known as Mühle am Wall, is a charming restaurant located in a restored flour mill dating back to 1900. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the mill offers globally influenced dishes and regional specialties such as Steckrubeneintopf and Bremer Knipp. This historic windmill is a hidden gem in Bremen's city center and stands as the last of the eight windmills from the 17th and 18th centuries.
Utterly charming mill restaurant in a park. Service was attentive and efficient. This mill chap, here as a tourist would have liked a bit more on the mill, but enjoyed it regardless. The trip to the 'mill' will have to wait 🥴

The only negative comment is the lack of parking space. Parking on the street is chancy. Reserving a table is a must.

We had a very nice dinner herein The beer garden. The beer battered fish and potato salad were delicious but save room for the apple strudel. Service was good but seeing staff sitting together for a smoke break in front of customers was a bit uncomfortable.

We took an early dinner at the mill to catch the train back to Hamburg. A bit sad that the 2nd level is closed off. A bit of miscommunication here and there; corona became kola. Food was okay but nothing to be amazed at. With such a great location, things could have been better.

Food was somewhat ok. Nothing special but the atmosphere was great!!

Nice place to have nice coffee, though a little expensive. The mill and it's surroundings are really nice sight by themselves. Special Location in a great Park direct in the City of Bremen. Fresh and delicious foods and regional specials. Wonderful park, amazing view, excellent place to Photograph.

I went for Sunday brunch, but I think I won't come back again for it. Coffee or hot drinks are not included on the brunch buffet (nobody warned me previously about it and I did not see it writen anywhere). No hot drinks refill option. No pastry options (no cakes, no cookies, no croissants). If you arrive later than 10:45 you won't find some of the plates since they are not refilled. Nice staff, but who attended me did not speak English.
B. H — Google review
I’ve always wanted to try this place because the location seems great. It seems in the establishment you mostly pay for the location because the food price/quality wasn’t on par with what i was expection. We’ve ordered the mulle spritz, lillet wild berry, mulle labskaus and the shnitzel. Let’s just say for the price of 93 euros in total this wasn’t worth it. I have eaten better shnitzel and better labskaus around bremen for a lot less money. The presentation was really nice. So all in all i would say you pay for the location and for the presentation but not the taste of the food. The service people were friendly and the atmosphere was cozy.

Rhododendron-Park Bremen is a stunning family park with winding paths that is dedicated to showcasing the beauty of the rhododendron plant and its vibrant foliage. During spring, especially in May, visitors can witness over 10,000 rhododendron and azalea bushes spread across 46 hectares, making it the second largest collection of rhododendrons globally.
A perfect place to take a stroll in the evening. The colourful and fragrant blooms of trees in spring and the sunlight filtering through the branches all create a visually stunning experience. Those rocky built ups here and there with lichens and mosses are adorable. It's always a surprise! Every visit brings something new and unexpected to me. Truly a beautiful place!

Bremen Market Square is a charming and historic town square located in the heart of Bremen. It has been a central trading spot for centuries and is now famous for its annual holiday markets. The square is surrounded by stunning architecture, including the Weser Renaissance town hall and the iconic figure of Roland, both protected as UNESCO world heritage sites. Visitors can relax at one of the cafes on the square while taking in the bustling atmosphere.
Bremen Market Square is absolutely stunning and deserves every bit of five stars! Surrounded by magnificent historical buildings like the Town Hall and the Roland Statue, it’s a place where history and charm come together perfectly. The architecture is breathtaking, and the atmosphere is lively yet relaxed—ideal for strolling, taking photos, or enjoying a coffee at one of the nearby cafes. All the famous attractions in one spot, so if you just want to do the must sees, this is it. St Petri Dom, Böttcherstrasse, the Muscians, the Loch, the Rathaus - all in or just off the square. Other than one small souvenir kiosk, it is not at all touristy and certainly wasn’t crowded on a Monday at 11am. Easy to get to via public transport.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Magical Christmas atmosphere in the heart of Bremen! The Bremen Christmas Market is absolutely enchanting — one of the most beautiful festive experiences I’ve ever had! The whole city comes alive with sparkling lights, the smell of roasted almonds, mulled wine, and gingerbread filling the air. The market stalls are full of unique handmade gifts, traditional German treats, and beautiful decorations that make it impossible not to feel the Christmas spirit. The historic setting in the old town adds to the charm, especially around the stunning Bremen Town Hall and Roland statue. Everyone is so friendly, and there’s a real sense of warmth and joy everywhere you go. Whether you’re sipping hot chocolate, listening to carol singers, or admiring the lights by the river, it truly feels like stepping into a Christmas fairy tale. I would recommend the Bremen Christmas Market to anyone — it’s an unforgettable experience and the perfect way to celebrate the season!

The Overseas Museum in Bremen is housed in an impressive 19th-century building and showcases natural history exhibits from various parts of the world. The museum has been involved in several research projects, including one focused on developing new technologies for documenting cultural heritage. Additionally, the museum's new exhibition incorporates findings from a research project on medieval shipbuilding and the North Atlantic trade of Hanseatic merchants.
It's a very interesting museum, we had a great time there! There are 3 stores, with different zones: Africa, Asia ( China, Japanese), Amerik, the underwater world, and a lot of others. There are a lot of animals there, histories, historical facts, interactive places, and interesting for adults and kids. We spent 4 hours there and it wasn't enough. The restaurant at the museum , near the entrance is very delicious and fast cooked. The one more +, it's located 3 min from the railway station, so it was easy for us to come there by train from another town. It was a Saturday, but there was not a lot of people, so it was comfortable to be there. Highly recommend and wish everybody to see it

There are also fishes and animals of different regions of the world. I really enjoyed the part of exhibition devoted to the religions of the world. The Valentin Submarine Pens, also known as the U-boat Bunker, is a significant historical site located between Bremen and Bremerhaven. This massive structure was intended to be a submarine factory during World War II and was one of the largest of its kind in Germany. Despite never completing a single submarine due to air raids and the allied advance in 1945, it stands as an imposing reminder of that era.
Very moving place. The story telling is good. There is still a lot of work needed to preserve this place, we gladly left a donation, but it is completely free of charge to enter. There is a good app but download it and also download the tour in the app before going inside. Definitely recommend this place as a visit.
Michael — Google review
Eerie feels grasp over while visiting the Gigantic submarine yard of WWII. 23feet deep concrete roof , 23 feet wall! jaw dropped!Beyond imagination! Horror of war ! Over 6000 forced labor died!
Munshed S — Google review
Very happy I swung by this place. It’s an incredibly impressive building, and the history of it was explored and explained quite well. It was especially striking to me to hear the differences they noted between the experience of being a forced labourer/prisoner and what the German officers thought it was like. There was a notable difference in accounts of how hard the officers thought the prisoners had it, and just how inhumane the conditions actually were. They managed to highlight these experiences by letting accounts speak for themselves in rather a nice way. I spent about one and a half hour there before I had to move on, but I wished I’d had a bit longer (I did, to be fair, spend a lot of time taking pictures, so if you haven’t brought a camera you might be fine with 1-1 1/2 hour). It’s quite difficult to grasp just how huge the bunker is, so if you’re at all interested in seeing it, I can only strongly recommend you go!
Ellen L — Google review
The interactive information area seamed to be rather out of order or not finished. Many displays were not available or partially corrupted. As far as the bunker goes it was very promising during my outside walk around. Good information and detail. Inside is was focused around a story cast upon the wall telling stories of the time. Not nearly as interesting as I was hoping for.
Joe W — Google review
So worth visiting, to learn how those who were destined to ‘Extermination through labour’ were cruelly treated. Also to appreciate the bravery of 617 Sqdn who forced the closure of the Pen days before it went into full submarine assembly. The people who run Valentin have created a thoughtful and sympathetic tribute, the film that is projected on to an internal wall highlights the triumph of humanity over the most appalling tyranny.
Nick — Google review
It's a huge structure spanning over 400m long. The reason why the submarine bunker was built is quite interesting. The forced labour leaves a chilling legacy about innocent people being taken advantage of. Today, they provide a lott of information about what really happened. If this is of interest to you, check it out. Mrhaemer adventure.

After we bought the tickets at the entrance, we were told that most of the museum was closed because of a renovation, for already two years! There was only one room to visit with a temporary exibition about a duck, which we did not like at all. The farmhouse building on the terrain was open as well, with some furniture, glassware and kid toys, but was not what we came for. Such a shame that the closure is not communicated on the website.

Wallanlagen, originally constructed to defend the city, now serves as a serene escape in the heart of Bremen. This historic park, dating back to the 18th century, weaves through the city center from Neustadt to Stephaniviertel. It is cherished by locals for its tranquil atmosphere and scenic views, including the charming Muhle am Wall surrounded by seasonal blooms.
Great place to enjoy your spring, summer, autumn and winter! Basically a great four-seasons park! You can enjoy the flowers during spring and summer and also the falling leaves in autumn and such a great snowy view in winter! The windmill is a restaurant actually so you can have your romantic experience with your loved ones inside and outside the windmill! 💜 OH AND THESE ARE ALL MY PICTURES! We saw the windmill from a distance and decided to go check it out. We were pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant. The food, drinks, and dessert were great. The staff was friendly and prompt with service. The decorations were fun to see and appropriate for a restored windmill. If we make our way back to Bremen, we will be returning here.

We were visiting from overseas. The stroll through the park was lovely and quiet. We didn't visit the windmill as it was closed. We did stop at the cafe a short walk away along the river. Friendly service and a quiet spot to watch the world go by. The owner did warn us about oick pockets and people who may steal valuables off our table if we weren't careful.

Beautiful park with amazing history. In 1802, the city fathers decided to transform the fortress into a place of beauty and culture and since then, the walls have become the first public park in Germany to be decided by parliament. We went along it to same end and it was great walk in peace.

Definitely a great park just in the centre of Bremen with all kinds of sights. Wherever you enter or exit it you will still be inside the city. Historically the lake was a moat with defensive purposes for the city, then transformed into this park!

Beautiful park area that goes around the old town. Great place to have a relaxing walk, very quiet and some lovely views. Love how the city also leaves some of the grass areas for nature to take care of itself. More parks and cities should let nature be, as it would attract bees and wildlife that help sustain the ecosystem.

One of the most colorful and beautiful park in Bremen. It offers quite a few good views, excellent for photography, gvery good for relaxing and good for workout (jogging, running, etc). The windmill itself is quite attractive and what to say about the flower garden in front of it. It is the most vibrant, colorful, ever - changing and attractive garden I have seen. Always changing colors and flowers from time to time make sure that you never get bored of it.

The museum, housed in the Paula Becker-Modernsohn House is a beautiful building in the Böttcherstrasse. Paula Becker was an expressionist painter of the late 19th and early 20th century and considered one of the most important representatives of early expressionism The museum, founded in 1927, is dedicated to her and you can see a her paintings and drawings there. She died young at the age of 31. The museum is internally connected to the museum with old art and one ticket pays for both. When I was visiting it was busy with groups and students who were copying the art. The museum specifically invites visitors to take up a pencil and paper and use you drawing skills

I visited with my 6 yr old son. Me being a plant and nature lover , felt absolutely amazing in there . And my son also enjoyed the jungle kind of feeling and Koi feeding and butterfly Park. Also they gave a free passport for kids to get stamped. So that was really interesting for the kids .

Beautiful botanical gardens. Bus 25 from the train station. Went at the weekend and was able to buy a ticket when we got there. Student discounts and family ticket. They host events at the garden and restaurant. We strolled around all the gardens which were planted up with wide floral borders and a rose garden. Botanika is a Tibetan themed zoned garden within tropical plants. The butterfly house is exceptional with lots of photographic opportunities. Outside there are housed monkeys chilling in the sun. It’s a great way to spend a quiet day and relax!

Great place to visit with children, even younger ones, lots to see and space to run around, of course the activities get better the older the kids and the ticket price is very reasonable. All encountered staff were also super friendly!

We visited this place on the weekend. It is really a beautiful garden in Bremen. A must visit place, specially in Summer. There are lots variety of flowers and trees. There is also a nearby Caffeteria where you can just sit, drink coffee and relax. Experience a different ambience of nature within the City.

Some of the plants have labels showing their name and age. I was a bit disappointed to see that the big trees didn’t have labels. Of course, it’s not possible to label every tree, but a few of them, especially with their age, would be nice. Knowing a tree’s age really makes you feel connected to the past. It’s a lovely place.

Very nice botanical garden, one of the best I visited in the world. Very well built, maintained and informative on a very broad spectrum of animals, plants, cultures and science! Also very friendly staff.

One of the highlights of my trip to Germany was the visit to Botanika on the second day. We spent hours here experiencing the fauna and flora and made use of all the information around the venue. We found the staff were especially helpful with recommendations on what to pay attention to and how to best navigate around the different biomes.

Catholic cathedral
St. Petri Dom Bremen, also known as Bremer Dom, is a striking 11th-century cathedral located in the heart of Bremen's old town. The current structure was built between 1043-1072 after its predecessor was destroyed by fire. With its Gothic towers and Romanesque arches, the cathedral offers panoramic city views from its lofty height.
St. Peter's Cathedral (St. Petri Dom) in Bremen is a stunning example of medieval ecclesiastical architecture, located in the heart of the city's market square. The cathedral dates back over 1,200 years, with its current structure built mainly in the Romanesque and Gothic styles. Its most striking features are the two towering twin spires, which rise about 98 meters high and dominate Bremen’s skyline. The exterior is built from dark sandstone, giving it a majestic, weathered look. The facade includes arched doorways, rose windows, and ornate carvings. Inside, the cathedral has vaulted ceilings, ancient crypts, richly decorated altars, and a beautifully carved pulpit. It reflects Bremen's religious, cultural, and architectural history across centuries.

Huge and beautiful. Last time I had seen it only form the outside; and it looks amazing in the night light. This time we were able to explore the inside. The windows are tainted with beautiful lively paintings. The Chandeliers hanging from the high ceiling just adds more to the overall beauty. They do have a huge organ. The pulpit is really beautiful with all those sculptures carved out of the wood. Overall it is impressive.

The church is magnificent - both outside and inside. But what I liked most was the corner with children's toys! You don't see that often! Our little one was busy with the toys and let the adults have a good look around.

A stunning example of medieval architecture! 🏛️📐 St. Petri Dom is a masterpiece of design, blending heavy Romanesque pillars with soaring Gothic vaulted ceilings. The interior design is amazing, especially the painted arches and the intricate stone masonry. The transition from rounded arches to pointed Gothic windows is clearly visible on the facade. It’s a quiet, impressive space to admire the craftsmanship of the past. Highly recommended for the engineering and history alone!

St. Peter’s Church (Peterskirche) in Munich is a spectacular landmark, especially known for its stunning interior in Baroque style. The intricate details, towering ceilings, and beautiful artworks create an unforgettable atmosphere that is definitely worth experiencing. Entry to the church is free, making it an accessible and rewarding stop for anyone visiting the city. However, climbing the tower is a different story. While it costs €4 per adult and €2 per child, the experience doesn’t quite live up to expectations. The ascent involves 265 spiral steps—a good workout, no doubt—but the panoramic view from the top is severely compromised by an unsightly metal mesh. This dense grid makes it nearly impossible to take good photos of the city, which is a big letdown. In an age where resistant glass or less intrusive barriers are available, the current setup feels outdated and frustrating. In short, unless you’re climbing the tower purely for exercise, it’s probably not worth it. The church’s interior is absolutely worth a visit, but the tower climb might leave you disappointed—especially if you’re hoping to capture those perfect panoramic shots of Munich.

Haus Schütting, located in the heart of Bremen's city center, is a historical guildhall built in the Flemish Renaissance style in the 1530s. It stands as a symbol of power for Bremen's wealthy merchants following an uprising by the lower classes. The facade features the merchants' coat of arms alongside that of the city, depicting the Holy Roman imperial eagle and showcasing their significant standing in Bremen.
Very beautiful old historical building with multiple amazing details. It was built as a guild house for the city's merchants, later it was transformed into the Bremen's chamber of commerce. It's located just opposite the Bremen city hall on the Market square, and it's always crowded around it. Near the building there is a narrow lane to the famous Böttcherstraße.

Stately, a bit bombastic, but beautiful! Directly opposite the Bremer Rathaus is the Schütting, since 1849 the stately chamber of commerce, but originally the guild house of the Bremen merchants. The guild house was first located in a house on the corner of Langenstrasse and Hakenstrasse, but in 1444 the aldermen of Bremen bought a building on the Bremer Marktplatz in order to be closer to the political power of the city. The name Schütting is derived from the German word "schützen", to protect, because here, in addition to the administrative guild tasks, merchants from outside the city could find shelter. In 1538/39 the Flemish mason and architect Johann den Buschener built a new guild house in Late Gothic and Renaissance style. In 1756 the building was renovated again, and was given a modest kind of Baroque appearance. Modesty was a concept that Wilhelminism had nothing to do with, and so the building was "pimped" between 1895 and 1899 and, among other things, the bombastic portal was constructed. On 6 October 1944, the Schütting burned to the ground, but after years of reconstruction, the building has been shining like new again since 1956.

The Bremen Ratskeller is a historic cellar located on the western side of the town hall, dating back to 1409. It is renowned as the oldest wine cellar in Germany and boasts a collection of 1,200 exquisite German wines. The vaulted hall has welcomed many famous figures and inspired literary works. Visitors can enjoy classic northern German meat and fish dishes in this centuries-old setting with vaulted ceilings.
Amazing food and beautifully designed restaurant! The staff was friendly, though the service was a bit confusing with our orders—possibly because we were a group of 14. If you need a large table, make sure to mention it when reserving, as they don’t have a table for 14; we had to connect two tables ourselves. The ambiance is stunning, with details that go beyond beautiful. Highly recommend!

we were out with a greeter, which is someone that lives here in the city and takes people around to show them their sites and one of the siteswas this restaurant. She said we would really enjoy it and we went and did enjoy it. The waiter that started with us definitely could speak English, which I was very happy but two or three other people help with the serving in the cleaning and the bill not one only so there’s not much I can say we got in and out without any issues We had one of these little alcove rooms. The food was good. I had the hack the potatoes and vegetables that came with. It was delicious. and we also had the goulash and tomato soup. The atmosphere was really interesting. One of the things that made me smile they had a computerized robot running around with the silverware and dishes. It just seems so out of place in this ancient old wine cellar with this modern computerized somewhat like a butler, but I enjoyed the whole atmosphere and if you’re in the area, I would definitely give it a try menus are in German and English

Vaults of Vintage Vines and Timeless Tales! Fresh from our square-side lunch at Jon Benton's—still buzzing from that Knipp revelation—we couldn't resist capping off our Bremen whirlwind with the wine tour at Bremer Ratskeller. Tucked beneath the restaurant and the very heartbeat of the Marktplatz (right alongside those mischievous Town Musicians statues), this wasn't just a tasting; it was a three-hour plunge into a subterranean wonderland of history and hallowed hooch that left us tipsy on stories as much as sips. Our guide, Guido, was the unsung hero— not only incredibly knowledgeable about every oak-aged nuance and medieval murmur, but a saint with saintly patience for our broken German stutters. He pivoted seamlessly to English explanations, painting vivid pictures of Bremen's boozy past with the flair of a storyteller who'd lived it. We meandered through expansive, vaulted cellars that felt like stepping into a Gothic novel—cool stone arches whispering of feasts for burghers and bishops, the air thick with the earthy perfume of centuries-spent barrels. Five glasses of fine German wines punctuated the journey like plot twists: crisp Rieslings that danced on the tongue, bold Spätburgunders with silken depth, each pour a toast to regions we'd yet to conquer. But the grand finale? A descent into the most special "vault" imaginable, home to the oldest known 1,000-liter keg—dated smack to 1653, its weathered oak a time capsule of resilience and revelry. Touching that relic, feeling the history pulse through the wood... it was palpable, profound, like brushing elbows with ghosts of grape-crushing glory. Well worth every minute (and euro)—this tour elevates a casual cellar crawl into an epic. If you're in Bremen, swap the souvenir shop for this subterranean saga; Guido's got the keys, and the vibes are eternal. Prost to the past—we're forever fermented fans!

The atmosphere is magical 🥰 ancient walls, warm lights, and that unmistakable sense of tradition that makes you feel part of something timeless. You don’t just have dinner here — you step into a story that’s been told for centuries. A must-visit for anyone who loves great food, history, and soul in every detail.

A nice restaurant located inside an old wine cellar, it is in the center of the old city of Bremen and has reasonable prices seeing as it is right next to the Dom. The food here was great, I loved the Schweine and Rind braten. I dont think I have had such a good braten in a while. The service was good as well, friendly servers, they had a robot that takes dirty plates to the kitchen. The atmosphere was great too, they have old massive beer barrels. They even have booths with art on the walls, but i believe you need to ask specially to get it. It is a good choice if you are in the center and want to eat lunch as there weren't a whole lot of people. I do recommend. -Roberts Kalejs

Great atmostphere! We were lucky enough to get a reservation here. (Tip: If nothing is available online, stop by in person.) We had our own private room/booth off to the side. The cellar is beautiful. Food is good as was the service. We had the duck and meatballs all washed down with a bottle of their cabernet sauvignon. Very fortunate to have had the opportunity to experience this fine restaurant!

The restaurant is located in the touristic center of Bremen and feels like a typical tourist spot. We had the pan-fried fish, duck, and beer. Bremen Roland is a magnificent stone statue that stands proudly in the heart of Bremen, Germany, symbolizing freedom and the market rights of this historic city. Erected in front of the stunning town hall—an architectural gem reflecting Weser Renaissance style—this UNESCO World Heritage site has become an iconic representation of Bremen's rich heritage. The statue depicts Roland, a legendary figure associated with Charlemagne, brandishing his sword and shield adorned with an imperial coat of arms.
Lovely City but all stores are closed except a few restaurants in the city center on Sundays.
Onur O — Google review
In the heart of Bremen’s Marktplatz, standing tall and proud, is a stone figure who has watched over the city for centuries: Roland. At first glance, he might seem like just another medieval knight carved in stone—but look closer, and you’ll discover that Roland is one of the most powerful symbols of freedom and civic pride in all of Europe. The current statue was erected in 1404, replacing an earlier wooden version that had been destroyed by the Archbishop of Bremen. That act alone says a lot—because Roland is not just any knight. He is a legendary figure from the court of Charlemagne, a symbol of justice and protector of the city’s independence. In medieval times, placing his statue in front of the town hall was a bold statement: “We govern ourselves here.” Roland’s presence declared that Bremen was a free imperial city, with rights granted directly from the Holy Roman Emperor, not subject to local lords or the church. He holds a sword (Durendal) and a shield bearing the imperial eagle, affirming those freedoms. Some say his slightly open mouth symbolizes free speech, and that as long as Roland stands, Bremen will remain free. That belief was so strong that during World War II, a wooden replica was made and hidden to protect the original from destruction. The statue stands over 5.5 meters tall, making it one of the largest surviving Roland statues in Germany. And unlike many monuments, this one isn’t just historical—it’s deeply symbolic. Roland is the silent guardian of Bremen’s identity: not just a knight, but a timeless voice of resistance, autonomy, and justice. In short, visiting Bremen without standing before Roland is like visiting Paris and skipping the Eiffel Tower. He’s not just carved in stone—he’s carved into the spirit of the city itself.

Magical! 👑👑👑👑👑👑👑 This match was as magical as the city itself, until the last second of tension and a goal in the 95th minute for the Bremen musicians. 🏟️🏟️🏟️🏟️🏟️🏟️🏟️ It was worth every second. The atmosphere in the stadium was fantastic and poetic. 🏆🤩🌟

I went to see Werder Bremen vs Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The stadium was quite cool, being located next to the river which made for a nice 30 minute walk from central Bremen.

Alé alé SVW! To go see a Bremen game while visiting the city can be a nice idea. The atmosphere is charming and I would have brought my child to the stadium without any fear as everyone was just polite and clearly there to simply have fun. Nice mood, never seen in an Italian stadium 🏟 Beer is somewhat cheap, and the stadium itself is relatively small, so just be advised that if you choose the Bremen fans sector and you are unlucky enough to end up seaten behind the supporters flags you will see pretty much nothing of the match. That's bummer and no kind of prevention is done to avoid that. Also it is really difficult to walk through people to reach the toilet or the bar.

Looks normal from the outside.Never went inside the stadium. There's park nearby the stadium just walking distance.

Market Hall Eight Bremen is a vibrant food hall that brings together an impressive array of global cuisines in a stylish, modern-rustic setting. Nestled in a less conspicuous part of the city, this culinary gem showcases the best practices from renowned food halls around the world. With thoughtfully curated vendors and smart layout design, it offers an inviting atmosphere filled with natural light and ample seating both indoors and outdoors.
Excellent place in the middle of the city! Various food stalls with different types of cuisine. We tried 5 of them and strongly recommend the Korean and Ukrainian cuisine! Plenty of places to sit. Reasonable prices. If I could suggest, I wouldn’t bother to find any restaurant around and I would go here instead.

Super love this place. Is a food court with lots of variety of food. From Italian, asian to ghana .. my favourite was the Ghana rice from Mataas Kitchen . Ordered the bean rice and chicken with spicy sauce. So good!!!!! Cant believe i found rice that is so good in germany. Spacious enviroment comfy to seat. And self service style. Love it.

I walked by Markthalle Acht late when everything was already closed, but I was still impressed by the atmosphere. It has such a cool, industrial-rustic look that feels super inviting and cozy. It’s located right at the Domshof, and looking there, the variety of street food stalls (International cuisine) looks amazing. It’s definitely on my list to come back during opening hours to actually taste the food. If the vibe is this good when it's empty, the lunch or dinner service must be fantastic!

Located in Bremen, Germany, this cultural gem is part of a rich tapestry of sightseeing highlights in the area. Alongside other attractions like the Town Hall and Saint Peter's Cathedral, visitors can immerse themselves in art at Gerhard Marcks House.
Small but nicely curated-rotating exhibitions mostly focused on sculpture. Also Gerhard Marcks is an author of Bremer Stadtmusikanten sculpture in the very center. Don’t come with bigger bags (even if it doesn’t look big to you), as already mentioned one will need to leave it in the clockroom.

(Translated by Google) “You don’t come here, you go there.” I came here by mistake, I thought it was an art gallery in Bremen. On the ground floor there are exhibitions of art by local “masters”. Stone, copper, bronze; the details of all the exhibits are smoothed out, blurred, intertwined so that little is clear, and there are no signatures at all. On the second floor there is modern “art”: cans of Pringles chips with wheels, tacky appliqués made of paper and deflated balloons, etc. However, the Haus itself is very small.

Situated in the artists quarter of the city, it attracts visitors from far and wide. The theater hosts classical concerts, opera performances by visiting companies, and occasional English-language theatrical productions.
Definitely a charming and satisfying experience! Cozy and elegant atmosphere, without losing its charm with modernism. The Glockenspiel House is a must-see attraction in Bremen, Germany. Located on Bottcherstrasse, it features a stunning outdoor performance by 30 Meissen porcelain bells and rotating panels depicting famous seafaring explorers and aviators. The carillon rings multiple times a day, lasting about 8 minutes each time. The building itself has a rich history, with the addition of the porcelain bells between its gables in 1934.
The Glockenspiel has 30 bells of Meissen porcelain. The carillon chimes three times a day while wooden panels depicting pioneering seafarers and aviators appear on a rotating mechanism inside the tower. We didn't know about this and just we were lucky to be exactly on time , listen to it and see. That was awesome experience.
Paweł — Google review
Here there are porcelain bells that play 10 different melodies each hour between 12 noon and 6pm during the months April to December (from January to March it is only 3 times per day at 12, 3pm and 6pm). You should not miss it as it is very unusual to hear porcelain bells and they definitely make softer tones. At the same time there are 10 different panels that rotate around, which depict different Atlantic crossings from the Vikings, to Columbus, Lindbergh and Zeppelin.
Simon R — Google review
Nice brick house with carillon containing 30 Meissen porcelain bells. You can listen to the musical carillon performance every day at 12, 15 and 18 (from 01.01 to 31.03) and every hour from 12 till 18 (from 01.04 to 31.12). It's a very interesting performance and the place around is crowded during the carillon performance time. Also, during the performance, the 10 panels are rotating in the left side of the building and showing famous sailors and aviators.
Irina K — Google review
Tiny alleys tucked away from the Main street. The vibe is very diagonal alley-ish.
Tone S — Google review
You will not see and hear a carillon of Meissen porcelain often or at all, but you can in this street. It sounds every hour from 12 - 18 but you can use your smartphone and scan a QR code on the wall to run it in between

The museum is one of Germany's largest modern art museums with an international reputation. It features constantly changing presentations from renowned private collections, offering insight into the dynamic evolution of modern art.
Best museum in Bremen, the collections make you feel, make you think, make you dream... Everything you need from a museum. The building itself is amazing, the agents are nice and welcoming. Modern art can be weird and bizarre but they have a way to choose and arrange the subjects that you get into this kind of art. I always come back. Very often

TBH I only visited due to the rain, it's a huge building, made up of many large galleries. For me the content was not my interpretation of art, however. It was very hot inside and airless, the staff were friendly and informative, also there were descriptions in English.

The galleries in this museum are just concrete with some white paint. The appreciation of the collection modern art is, like always, dependent of your like or dislike. Still, for me it's always nice to wonder through the galleries and be surprised when something shows up which tickles the mind When I visited I was the only visitor and the museum is somewhat away from the old centre with the tourist highlights You get a discount when you show your ticket from another museum that you visited in Bremen

Medium size of exposition. Different kinds of techniques and genres. Takes 2 hours. Modern art is not easy to judge. I believe there are people who would be satisfied with the expositions. As my personal experience goes it was rather depressing. Of course, I am fully aware, it's not a characteristic of a quality.

I went to a ballette today. The music was playback, and this was not written anywere in the ticket-buying process. As a musician I am disappointed with this. I wanted to see a full-ballette experience, with the glory of its live musical performance. At the cloack room, they got my bag saying it was too big. It was a medium-size handbag. And I don't like small party-sized handbags because I always take a notebook and pen with me to concerts, to write whatever comes to my mind. I have never had any problems with this handbag in other places (such as Glocke which has even much smaller seats than here and alao has no big bags policy). And I have seen some ladies having bags almost with same size in the theater today. They got my bag and I had to change it with a smaller one given by them, and also pay extra money for this inconvinience. However the stars that I gave are for the building, it is beautiful and has good comfortable seats. Anywhere you sit, you'd see the stage almost well. It has also rather fast and kind people who help with finding your place. Also the dancers perform beautifully on the play-back music.

The buffet of the theater is a disaster. First, is of course the menu. Like literally Currywurst, Bretzel, salty peanuts... And 20 minutes before the show it is like completely sold out. Everything. No snacks. In developed countries, the buffet of the theater is a separate experience. And here, in this case it is a disappointment. I never thought I'd have to bring in food/snacks for my kid into the theater. Typical German service though, unfortunately. Otherwise it's clean and nice

Very nice theatre with a fabulous Whitney Houston Show starring Belinda Davids

Very well organized and comfortable theater. We watched the performance of "Shen Yun" which was really amazing. It revives the ancient Chinese culture and traditions. The show was of a world class quality. I highly recommend it!

they force you to use the cloakroom for your coats, which costs 2,5 Euro per person. (i don’t know if it’s legal) Thanks to that you should expect a super long queue (before and after the event) + unfriendly staffs (especially at the cloakroom and at the stairs)

A very interesting exhibition for those, who are interested in Bremen maritime history and city development. Interactive, well sorted by topics, good descriptions, models and films.

If you want to learn more about this hanseatic city's history, this is the place to go. There's every medium to try: from reading and watching movies of past times to laying hand on old wheelbarrows to fully grasp what it was like in the harbours. It's definitely worth an experience.

Sculpture
The Loriot-Sofa mit Mops vor Radio Bremen is a unique and whimsical seating experience for visitors to the city. This bright red sofa, made of recycled materials and textiles, features vivid stripes and patterns that light up any space. It's a replica of the famous Loriot sofa from the television series. The bronze pug next to it adds an extra touch of charm.
(Translated by Google) We organized a Bremen city tour with friends, including little surprises, and, among other things, The Loriot sofa at Radio Bremen was incorporated into the tour as a slightly earlier starting point. The effect was very pleasing and throughout the day people talked about Loriot and his works/achievements from time to time. All four of us still have fond memories of various Loriot programs and films, so this freely accessible piece of furniture including an "assessor" in front of the main entrance to Radio Bremen is a very nice highlight for Loriot fans. But does the sofa pug actually have a name? We really enjoyed it and were able to take souvenir photos. The original piece of furniture is also in the immediate vicinity, but on the other side of the glass pane, i.e. inside the building, in the foyer. You can also get there without much effort if you are there during normal opening hours.

(Translated by Google) There are probably 2 benches with Loriot in Bremen, this one is something special. The advertising with Radio Bremen directly behind the sofa is a bit dominant but... whatever. The pug is depicted very realistically. (except for the eyes but I think that reflects the dog itself quite well) (Original) Es gibt in Bremen wohl 2 Bänke mit Loriot, diese hier ist was besonderes.

(Translated by Google) This freely accessible monument is a must for every Loriot fan and, above all, for every pug friend. The sofa and the pug are made of bronze and are located directly in front of the Bremen radio station main entrance. There is a small paid parking lot opposite, but you have to be lucky here. There are also two disabled parking spaces. You can sit on the sofa and have your photo taken. Nice employees from the radio station helped us very nicely. The place is worth a must visit for every pug owner.

Of course it's made of hard, waterproof material, probably concrete. But I've already sat on it. That's a nice feeling. All Loriot fans should take a little break on the sofa (Original) Das Loriot Sofa gehört zu Radio Bremen, es hat dort einen ganzen Gebäudekomplex. Vor der Tür sozusagen, steht das Sofa. Natürlich ist es aus hartem, wasserfestem Material, wahrscheinlich Beton. Aber ich habe auch schon darauf gesessen. Das ist ein nettes Gefühl. Böttcherstraße is a street of art museums, craft workshops and cafes, located in the city of Bremen. It is noted for its 1920s architecture, with a carillon.
It's a beautiful narrow street with brick walls and a few shops. It was really a nice experience walking through here, giving some medieval vibes through it's architecture. One of the main attractions of Bremen, which is a must visit.
Karnan D — Google review
Böttcherstraße is a hidden gem in Bremen, full of history and unique architecture. 🏛️ The street’s expressionist buildings are a true work of art, and the atmosphere is so charming. We loved exploring the museums, artisan shops, and cafes along the way.
Shema B — Google review
I left a corner of my heart on this street. Places like this always give me a special sense of belonging. It’s even more beautiful in person than it looks in the photos.
Ellaha A — Google review
A lively picturesque street with 7 houses only and 100 meters long. In the 1930s, a wealthy coffee merchant decided to decorate it in the Art Deco style. During Hitler's time, the nazis preserved it as an example of "degenerate art." There are many cafes, craft and interesting souvenir shops. The street is worthy of close attention.
Olga G — Google review
Another one of those beautiful streets to wander in when you are in Bremen. Just take in the old archtecture and admire the views. This place has so much to offer in beauty. Absolutely love Bremen.
Wessel B — Google review
Böttcherstraße. It is the name of an area in the city of Bremen where there are alleys with old brick buildings as its trademark. In addition, at certain angles statues or ornaments are made that make this place so beautiful to visit. Many passages connect one block to another because the color of the walls and the shape of the building are similar, so be careful not to get lost there. Please note that not everyone you meet on the street can speak English so having a conversation on Google or translating will be very useful if you get lost. This place for visitors to the city of Bremen becomes a gallery of beautiful and unique works of art.

In the heart of Bremen's market square lies the Hole of Bremen, an underground collection box where visitors can drop coins and listen to one of the four Bremen Town Musicians make a sound in appreciation. This unique attraction is said to be connected to the town's famous musicians from folklore, and dropping coins into it allows you to hear their sounds. The proceeds from this activity go towards charity, making it a fun and meaningful experience for visitors.
Quiete funny. Just put a penny on the hole, then you can hear 1 from 4 voice of the symbol of this city. The old town is very beautiful!!!

Interesting attraction - a special manhole with a hole, after putting there a coin you can hear the voice of one of the Bremen Musicians. It wasn't easy to find it on the square - it's located just near the souvenirs point.
Irina K — Google review
Great idea.... I ve visited Bremen a few times but never realized nor heard of the city musicians head quarter :) my five year old niece loved it. It entertained her alot and we adults loved it too. BUT the donkey sounds a little bit awkward.
Mai C — Google review
Hard to find when it's nighttime, Christmas markets are up and throngs of ple drinking gluhwein around. It was shown and explained to me by a local so we get to know this: according to legend, the town's "famous musicians" (u shld know who by now) now lived underneath the town (!!!) and if we dropped coins (in the middle slot) fast enough we get to hear all 4 sounds make by them!!! We tried like 5-6times, only on the last attempt (a 5c €coin) did we manage to hear 1 so its either trial & error (coins type etc) or the mechanism not really working well, so do try with 5c euros and see ur luck!!! And attract puzzling onlookers as you be needing to really bend down closer.. Ahhahah

Die Mühle am Wall, located in the city center of Bremen, is a historic windmill dating back to 1898, although the site has been home to a windmill since 1699. While it no longer functions as a mill, it remains a popular attraction for visitors who can explore the site and enjoy dining at the on-site restaurant.
I personally love this place if you know its history you must visit it. One of the oldest windmill in bremen. The view is amazing as it is near the garden
Anish T — Google review
In summer the only good view is from the bridge coming from the train station. Otherwise the windmill is obstructed by the trees surrounding it. It is a good looking windmill, especially being in a big city. The morning light is the best and you get better reflections in the canal as the wind is light. Also, there are not many tourists around before 8am.
Simon R — Google review
I haven't eaten at the restaurants here. But the building looks interesting from a distance. Is worth walking around the park to see if you are in the area.

great live music by the river. Nice food (burger, pizza, fries, churros among a few other options). It's very fun to go with friends or colleagues. It was however muddy near the river, so I don't recommend wearing your fanciest shoes.

I went to the breminale festival for the first time and I liked it, I think it is an incetivation for music and for the city. Good music, a wide variety of food, the only thing I didn't like so much is the location. It is held on slopes and the day I went inside the festival the ground was muddy.
