Posting for anyone like us, two moms with two young kids looking for a nice but casual early dinner. We came around 5:30 and sat outside we loved the waterfront ambiance! At that time, it still had a casual vibe, which was perfect for people with young kids just trying to have a nice meal while clinging for their lives. 😅
By the time we were leaving around 7, the fancier crowd was starting to roll in, but we never felt out of place. The calamari was great, the shrimp and scallop ravioli was delicious, and the perch was just okay. The kids’ menu was solid, and our server David was amazing, attentive, friendly, and great with the kids.
Highly recommend for families who want a beautiful setting without the pressure of being super formal.

Such a clean, cute place! The portions are generous, the flavors are on point & the staff was just amazing. Highly recommend the wall eye & the mushroom risotto.

Wonderful shaded setting for lunch on the water. The wait staff was friendly but service was slow. Not a big deal bc of the view. The fruity alcoholic drinks were $11 each. They were tasty but seemed like they had no alcohol. The food was above average bar food. Spinach and artichoke dip was solid. BBQ sandwich was tasty but had very little meat. The truffle fries were really good. Go for the view and know you’ll have good food but nothing all that special. We will return with that expectation.

I ordered the shrimp and scallop tortellini, it was great! My girlfriend ordered the perch and it was missing something. My meal was very tasty and so was our side of crab cakes. Hers was not as memorable. Great service, great atmosphere, a nice place for a date!

Lovely view of the water, great service, and lots of unique flavor profiles on the menu. Only 2 vegetarian entrees besides salads, but my mushroom ravioli felt special with the different mushrooms, perfectly cooked asparagus and Parmesan. The key lime pie was a hit.

Visited during Tulip Time, waited about 15-20 minutes. Food was very good--omelette had a bit too much bacon that made it salty and didn't get the option for a deep fried cinnamon roll but regular was good, chili had a good spice, and Cross the Street salad was delicious, fresh, and had a ton of toppings! Came 2.5 hours to visit Holland and was really looking forward to a good meal—left disappointed. We were hungry and excited to try this spot, but both meals had overcooked eggs (ordered over easy) and everything just felt rushed and sloppy. The wait staff was pretty indifferent. Our visit was during off season. I ordered a Holland omelette and it was loaded with a lot of cheese and that’s how I like it. I had the side of the huge cinnamon bun to go. Above all, my wait person Suzanne made our day with her excellent service. First ever waitress bringing extra napkins without asking. Kudos to Suzanne! Price of the 3 eggs omelette with a side of huge cinnamon role was under $13. Unbeatable! We will go back for sure.

We stopped in for breakfast at The Windmill Restaurant during a trip to Holland, and while the food had its highlights, the overall experience was a bit overwhelming.
The restaurant was very crowded, noisy, and somewhat chaotic, making it difficult to fully enjoy what was otherwise a solid meal. The servers were kind and attentive, doing their best amid the hectic pace and tight seating.
On the plus side, the daily specials are priced well, and my wife raved about her cheese muffin—every bite was a win. Our daughter had the Denver omelette with gluten-free toast and was thrilled they didn’t upcharge for the gluten-free option. She also noted the eggs were seasoned just right.
Unfortunately, my own meal fell short. The blueberry pancakes were stiff rather than fluffy, and my over-easy eggs came out greasy.
It’s clear they have a loyal following and some great menu items, but due to the overcrowded dining area and noise, we’re not sure we’d return. Might be a better pick if you don’t mind a bustling diner vibe.

Okay, so I did my homework. I was on a mission to find the best hot chocolate in Holland, Michigan, and Lemonjello’s was one of the top contenders. But—I’ll be honest—I almost didn’t go. Why? The number of reviews talking about rude service and employee attitudes made me second-guess it. Who wants to be judged for just wanting something warm, cozy, and lavender-flavored?
But then I found out they had lavender hot chocolate, and listen... as a certified hot chocolate connoisseur and someone whose favorite flavor on Earth is lavender, I simply had no choice. Curiosity > fear of sass.
I pulled up, sat in my van, and genuinely debated just skipping it. But eventually, the craving won out, and in I went. There was only one person ahead of me in line, so I browsed the counter—strictly there for that lavender hot chocolate, mind you—and walked out with a small bakery haul.
I got a cinnamon roll that I swear was life-altering. I bake my own sourdough cinnamon rolls, and I’m pretty obsessed with them—but this one? Better. I said it. I went back inside to get two more for the road. That good.
As for the much-feared service? Total myth—at least in my experience. The cashier and the guy making my drink were both kind, conversational, and super helpful. We chatted about the drink, the pastries, even how their day was going. No eye rolls. No bad vibes. Just genuine, sweet humans.
When I finally got my drink (napkins and a bag already thoughtfully packed for me), I went back to my van, took one sip, and immediately regretted not getting the biggest size they offer. It was floral, rich, comforting, and easily the best hot chocolate I had out of the three places I tried in town. Hands down.
So if you’re on the fence about Lemonjello’s because of some sour reviews, let me be the voice that says: go anyway. Order the lavender hot chocolate. Grab the cinnamon roll. And if you’re going—text me. Bring me back a cinnamon roll. 😌

Stopped in for lattes one morning, and also enjoyed their coffee and cold brew at the Farmers Market. All were really good, and the cold brew was especially great. A gentleman I spoke to at the market also recommended their summer coffee/lemonade beverage. Finally, a place filled with gnomes and a fish named Finneas deserves a shot to make your morning a little perkier.

This café sits on a street corner at the northwest side of an intersection, so parking can be a bit tricky. The indoor space isn’t big, but it’s filled with tables and chairs. The music is pretty loud—maybe that’s their way of helping people avoid awkward silence.
You place your order right on the left after entering through the main door, and sometimes there’s a line. Maybe because the place gets busy and there aren’t many staff members, both the service and the cleanliness could definitely be better.
The décor, though, is fun and full of young energy. The coffee tastes great, just slightly pricier than Starbucks and similar chains.
Oh, and they have highchairs for kids—parents with little ones will appreciate that!

My boyfriend and I were visiting from out of town for the weekend and decided to try this place out. Both of us really enjoyed our experiences the two times we came in. What genuinely makes this place 5-star worthy is the fact that there’s MULTIPLE gluten-and-dairy-free bakery items. I visit lots of coffee shops and keep seeing that there’s (typically) either a gf item, or a vegan item. Never both. The fact that Lemonjello’s had not one or two, but five different bakery items for me to choose from that were freshly made— not the pre-packaged, overpriced options you see at other places— that won me over. I understand it’s hard to accommodate my two dietary restrictions simultaneously, but Lemonjello 100% executed, and it’s something I appreciate greatly. I tried the gf/df apple almond muffin and chocolate chip cookie one time and the gf/df berry muffin the next, all of which I’d get again. My boyfriend and I also enjoyed our lattes— as baristas, we were impressed with the staff’s skilled latte art, especially considering I got mine with oat milk. The atmosphere was totally fine. I could personally just go without the music playing as it seemed a little all over the place, and the tables are fairly close together, but it’s evident they’re trying to utilize the space they have and provide as much indoor seating as possible for customers. I’m looking forward to coming back to this coffee shop as it’s very accommodating and overall very pleasant.

The food is filling and flavorful. Such a cozy spot. Very kid friendly. They even let us order an item from the bakery that wasn’t technically on the restaurant menu because our son really wanted the blueberry donut (which was phenomenal btw). I got hippy hash and my husband got biscuits and gravy. It was sooo good. Mouth is watering just thinking about it again. The pickled onion in the hash really balanced well and was my favorite part.

I honestly love going here, we drive from Grand Rapids to Michigan about 40 minute drive.
The food is delicious, the only thing we don’t like is the wait time we have waited sometimes almost an hour to get seated but this is usually on weekends, during weekdays I’ve been with a party of 8 and we where seated right away.
Every time we go, I always go for the chicken hash, my kids French toast and my husband biscuits and gravy.
A must try is their onion jam!!!!! Please give it a try it’s delicious.
We are a family of four and we usually pay just 100 for the meal plus tip. I do get an extra plate to go.
So that’s five meals, and 4 drinks but you will definitely leave satisfied.

Food was great and the staff were nice! The wait was long, but it's a small place on a Sunday morning, so that's to be expected. The prices though were pretty extreme for what you get. 2 strips of bacon is $4.50. You could buy an entire package of bacon for that much. Whip cream & strawberries were $3. $40 for a 2 biscuits and 2 pancakes at a little diner is a bit out there. Overall we're happy we went, but probably won't be regulars at that price point.

We love going to small, out of the way places to eat. This place did not disappoint. My husband was wondering where I was taking him, but he was impressed with the quality of the food and the great service we received.
The food was delicious, and I believe everything was homemade, from the strawberry jam on my plate, to the whipped cream on my husband's French toast.
My husband had the Berries and Cream French Toast and an egg sunny side up. He loved it!
I had the Mediterranean Scramble, with their homemade biscuit. It was the best scramble I have ever eaten; it was delicious and the seasoning was perfect. The strawberry jam for my biscuit was as good as my homemade jam. Yum! The biscuit was light and moist.
Fresh squeezed orange juice! My husband and I are coffee snobs (we even roast our own coffee), the coffee there was good but too light for our liking. The server told us it was supposed to be a med-dark roast, but we --thought it was more tea-like than coffee-like.

We (two people) arrived at 9:50 on a Sunday and had our named added to the wait list. We waited 46 minutes for a table. While we waited I could hear the man with the list tell people there would be a forty minute wait which went up to an hour wait and then he would say “about an hour” wait. They food arrive around 15 minutes after we ordered. There are eleven tables, 2 waitresses that I could see. If you like biscuits and gravy this is the place for you. The biscuits are the best I have ever had. Light and fluffy. The gravy is also good. The waitress was quick and friendly.

The 205 is a fun and cute place to eat, but it is very expensive. For 2 drinks and 2 waffles it was about $35 before tip. They do not list their prices on the menu in-store, but you can see them if you order online. It is often quite busy so it's not really a calm or quiet vibe. Wonderful little shop :-) We got there as soon as they opened and within minutes, there were a dozen people there to grab coffee. The 205 definitely seems to be local favorite!
The barista’s were really cool! Very good with the people as well as their craft. I got the barista‘s choice latte and it was delicious! The price was good too, a latte and a pastry cost me what just a latte would cost at most coffee shops!
Overall 10/10 experience, would definitely go back again if I’m ever in the area.

Cute restaurant and bakery in downtown Holland, Michigan. It is bright and cherry inside. You order at the register then they bring it to your table. The $5 Blueberry Mimosa was delicious and very sweet. I had the cheddar quiche that was served with a light salad and a square of blueberry coffee cake. My husband had the small breakfast combo. Everything was delicious. We also got a peanut butter brownie to have later. It was very good. I marked down the service and atmosphere because we prefer table service and not having to hunt for the tableware and then bus our own table. The food is wonderful, it just could have been served differently.

Came in for lunch. Had a chicken sandwich and tomato soup, which were both delicious. Chicken breast , although juicy and meaty, was on the smaller side, especially for $18. Soup was perfect. Picked up a couple of donuts on our way out, and those were amazing. Dining area was cozy, but many dirty tables.

My wife and I were staying at the Tulyp hotel a few blocks away and walked over to this restaurant for breakfast on a Sunday morning. They had seating outside and inside. It has a kind of farmhouse store vibe with various blueberry items on display for sale along with the tables where people are sitting.
When we walked in, there was a pretty big line and I thought that was the line to request a table, but it was a line to place an order. You have to order at the counter and then find a table yourself. I was a bit concerned about this because I wondered what we would do if there was no table available since every table was currently taken. We ordered a blueberry donut latte, a blueberry mimosa, Hash and Quiche and they handed us a number to place on our table. We were able to find a table right away and they brought our Latte and Mimosa to the table quickly, both of them were really good. The food was brought out about 10 minutes later. One other thing I found strange was you have to take your plates, glasses, cups and silverware to bins in the back when you are leaving your table and this along with the ordering process made it feel like a fast food restaurant and it’s really not fast food. With that said, I’d still come back here again because everything we had was really good but I wish they would make it more like a regular restaurant.

A solid 4 stars. The order-at-the-counter cafe had the potential to be more, but the entrees fell a little short of their potential.
The BBQ sandwich had very little coleslaw and was a wee bit salty and the power bowl was very heavy on squash, with about four cups, while light on other ingredients, as you can see from the photos.
A little tweaking and attention could easily make these entrees better.

I met a friend for coffee and decided to eat lunch. I had the best latte I've had in YEARS!! My lunch choice needed to be simple, due to my pickiness. There are so many choices for artisan sandwiches, but I'm pretty plain, so I got the kids meal with grilled cheese dippers and tomato bisque. It was amazing!! Service was great, there were so many options for pastries and sweets (the frosted pumpkin donut I brought home was also delectable!) and they even have alcoholic options for brunch with the ladies! The seating area was large and clean, and there are trinkets and gift items for sale as well. This is definitely a place to check out if you're downtown Holland.

Stumbled into Bowerman’s during our day trip to Holland for a cup of coffee and a treat. It was quite busy so the line was a bit messy and confusing, especially since their menu is hard to look at. I’ve stopped by twice now, and the macarons, while pricey, are delicious. They have a variety of flavors, but I think the lemon lavender is my personal favorite. This time, I opted for a handcrafted French soda with their house-made blackberry syrup—and wow. Not only was the presentation lovely, but the flavor was so fresh and balanced. What a surprisingly neat place. We were just looking for coffee but this shop caught our eye because of its over-the-top decor. Turned out the coffee (latte and americano) were surprisingly good, and the macarons — which I don’t normally care for — were incredible. Stopped for dinner on our way up the west coast of Michigan. I had the Bourbon Pork Ribeye and it was the most tender piece of pork I’ve ever had! And my husband got the sweet potato fries with the fluffernutter dip. The dip was so good that I asked our waitress for a spoon to finish it. I think she thought I was joking! We enjoyed the decor/atmosphere of this restaurant as well as the variety of food options. However, we found the food to be good but not spectacular. The prices were not outrageous, but we were on a tight budget, and so this meal was a splurge. We were hoping the food would be amazing!
I got the perch tacos, which were good, but nothing special. I've had better fish tacos before. I still enjoyed them though.
My husband got a burger. He ordered it well done, which might have been a mistake as it tasted too charred for him to really enjoy.
The highlights ... my daughter got the creamy chicken soup, fries, and chicken tenders and really enjoyed them. My son made the best choice and got the prime rib dip sandwich. He said it was wonderful! My husband tried it too and wished he had ordered it. We all really loved the fries!

Wonderful dining experience. Clean atmosphere, Great service everyone worked well together the bus boy was on top of getting those tables cleared and cleaned. We started with deep fried mushrooms they were great came in a cute cast iron. Husband said top sirloin was excellent. The bourbon tips topped with garlic butter were phenomenal 😋. After a day at the beach, Beechwood Grill was a great choice for dinner. They have all you can eat chicken on Monday’s and all you can eat shrimp on Wednesday’s if you are looking for something on those nights, you’d be silly to go somewhere else.

Crane’s in the City is a nice outpost of the main Fennville restaurant. The chili still tastes the same and is of a recipe that’s sweeter and more tomato-based than most. It’s unique, and quite good. I had that along with a piece of apple crisp à la mode. The apple crisp is always excellent with the right combination of sweetness, salt, and spices. The quality of the food is great, but the price is a tad high. The service I received was prompt and thorough. Overall, this is a pleasant place for a snack or quick meal downtown.

The City Cristo (turkey, provolone, honey mustard and apple slices, grilled on apple butter bread and sprinkled with powdered sugar) was OUTSTANDING bursting with a variety of very pleasing flavors. The Reuben Panini sandwich was just OK, but I regretted ordering it after eating half of my wife's City Cristo.
Crane's famous chili was very good and we really enjoyed the cherry pie.
The staff was very friendly, helpful, and quickly served our meal, so they definitely earned the tip we included at checkout. The restaurant is also cozy comfortable to dine in.

Do try the apple-juice slushy (don't remember the name), as it is SO good.
Further, the apple cider is fresh, pure and full-flavored, AND has no additives. That means you can take it home, and actually allow it to age and ferment and get a lot of biodiversity going on for a healthful drink. They can't, by law, recommend you do that, but I do it, knowing it produces awesome results. Other cider is loaded with antibiotics (intended to kill microbes), which makes it impossible to culture it. So, this is my new favorite source for apple cider.
See the bubbles, naturally occurring from fermentation, if you leave it out for a few days. Put a hole in the lid, so alcohol won't build up, and refrigerate after desired sparkle is achieved.

Very disappointing experience…I came here for the first time around 4 months ago and had a great experience. I came again today and ordered an HSP and was extremely disappointed.
For $12 it looks like I got 2 slices of ham, 1 slice of cheese, and a dab of pesto on floppy, unappetizing bread. I cannot stress how disappointing this portion size was and am considering never coming back.

I love this place! Great for sandwiches or a salad. They are pretty quick, but still need to wait like 5 minutes for your tasty sandwich! The restaurant is a walk up to order and wait for your food at your table type restaurant. It is located in historic downtown Holland and the ambiance is a nice homey/country vibe.

We came here because we were told they had "good dutch style food" and the place we were going to had closed. I also saw that they had sausage rolls (pigs in a blanket) on the menu.
On sitting down I asked the waitress "what dutch dishes do you have on the menu". This IS Holland Michigan and they DO have dutch decor on the walls. She seemed confused and then suggested 2 burgers that had "dutch" in the name.
The food is mediocre American frozen-fried. Think of a Dennys that's hadn't had a refit since the 1980's.
I got the BLT, because they were "out" of the club. Zero flavor, and very little bacon.
And the pigs in a blanket? Only available on the breakfast menu. What I know, but the waitress didn't think to tell me, is that you can buy them frozen to go...but they aren't made here, so it's cheaper to buy elsewhere.
Would NOT come again.

I had the Reuben, Onion Rings and Coffee. It's a shame they don't serve breakfast all day. I really wanted to have their stuffed French toast. I had that about 15 years ago, and it has seared a memory of an obscenely high calorie dessert that they call breakfast.
The onion rings were the best of my meal that evening. Homemade and battered on site. The rueben tasted good. I was expecting something more though. Like in Detroit and Toledo. I believe the rueben has been made more palatable to the Midwestern taste. For instance, when I had completed my order, the waitress asked what sauce I wanted for the onion rings. My eyes glanced around the table and found nary a catsup bottle. Then I looked up at her and before I could speak, she said "Ranch?" I was confused, nothing on my plate called for Ranch. I came in with my mom my little and spouse. We were just looking for a simple lunch didn’t even order meals for all 4. We got the potato wedges and mushrooms. An applesauces, and a hot beef with a French dip. Luckily we loved the food but the server Emily R was extra rude! Not a fan. Corned beef hash with 2 eggs was $9.50 but hash was from a $0.79 can! The Cappuccino was unlimited refills but was the "International Coffee" brand of powdered mix that just needs hot water. The iced-tea tasted like "Brisk" instant mix, hot black coffee was tasted burnt, the pancakes were okay but nothing to brag about. The grilled cinnamon roll was decent and the Pig in a Blanket was fabulous. We were with another couple and wanted to try this location before we attended a performance at Hope College. We frequent the Grandville location weekly and are always appreciative that they value the customer.
Our wives ordered salads, which were very disappointing, the lettuce was old, and they only were able to muster up eating approximately 50%. The men ordered the turkey dinner, and it was good (albeit Lukewarm).
The wives ordered soup, and it came out cold. The pea soup was way too thick in its cold state. We told the waitress that the soup was cold, and she took them back into the kitchen. The soup came back Lukewarm! We brought it to the attention of our waitress who stated, "we warmed it in the microwave for one-minute, likely it should have been longer"! She offered to take the soups back to the kitchen again to warm them up. In the sake of time, we said we would have a go at them in the warm status. We shared our negative experience with the manager, and told him the situation was totally unacceptable, he said he was sorry. We shall not return!

My husband and I went there to eat on Saturday 11/22/2025. The food was not good at all. I didn't eat my soup or salad that I got, but still charged me for what I got. My husband got a deluxe burger, that was not made the way he wanted it, ate half of it. We decided to leave. I got the chicken pot pie soup, there was no chicken in the soup, it was like water. We were in Holland for our Boys’ Varsity Tennis State Championships, and decided we had had enough pizza. The Good Earth Cafe was so cute, cozy, and the food was really good. My hubby had a Grazing Grain sandwich with vegetarian chili, and I had a Greek salad with broccoli cheese soup. We shared the pistachio muffin (yummy!) and he had espresso while I had a mocha. What a delightful place to have lunch. All employees were in good spirits, and you could just tell this was a place that the whole neighborhood supports and loves. I recommend bringing cash for tips, as their credit card system only allows it before the card runs. All tips get donated to good causes.

First time visiting Good Earth Cafe. Service was pleasant and helpful. The menu can be a little overwhelming and in small lettering to allow for all of the items to be posted. I had the Round-up Rodeo sandwich which was very tasty but smaller than I anticipated. Coffee was good but not great. It was busy with the lunch crowd but I was able to find at seat at the counter along the window. It seemed like many good options for breakfast and lunch. Walking distance from downtown shops and parking adjacent to the building. Expect to pay 6 to 10 dollars per person. I will definitely return to try another option.

The Good Earth Cafe is a delightful treasure we discovered right around the corner from the CityFlatsHotel. After check out we stopped in for breakfast bagels and a good cup of coffee. We were not disappointed! I enjoyed my favorite cream cheese and locs on a salted bagel. My lovely wife ordered a traditional breakfast bagel. Both were outstanding! The coffee was fresh with plenty of flavor yet not bitter. We met the owner and she is a sweetheart. She's hands on in the cafe. It was a bit busy for a Monday morning yet she took the time to chat and exchange pleasantries. The orange juice tasted freshly squeezed which is an added bonus. Moreover, the decor was intriguing and loved the Christian feel. We'll most certainly be back next time we're in the area. A big thank you to all the staff!

I've been a big EH fan since they opened the Holland location. My favorite sandwich has always been the Buffalo chicken melt. However, over the past year or so, the quality has declined with that sandwich. Today, I ordered one for take-out and when I got home and started eating it, the amount of chicken was not anywhere near as generous as in the past (there was no meat within an inch of the edge of the bread). Also, there were only a few shreds of onion and no jalapeños on the sandwich. I noticed there were a couple of new faces behind the counter and I don't blame them at all. I believe the fault lies squarely on the owners/managers for not completely training their staff properly. I've had a few other Buffalo chicken melts there over the past year, prepared by some other new hires that were also sub-par (compared to years past). Sadly, I'm beginning to lose interest in the Electric Hero. I will continue to try them again, but if things don't change back... they may lose a loyal customer.
I truly hope the owners read this and spend a bit more time with instruction and training. They were my favorite sandwich shop at one time and could be again... if!

I had asked for six confetti cake pops, as I’m not the biggest fan of chocolate cake, just to come home and find out only two of the six cake pops were confetti 🫤. Wondering if a better organization system (colored sticks or ribbons) could help determine flavors. I still ate them, because I already brought them home and cut them up to check their flavors, but would still have preferred to have six confetti cake pops 😞

Funnily enough, I did have a cake order placed for pickup today at the Lakewood location. The woman who helped me (I didn’t get her name) recognized my name from yesterday’s review and if I was the same person. She then offered me desserts or a refund in exchange for the mix up. I declined the desserts and asked for a refund, which she quickly completed for me. She brought me my cake order, which came out perfectly and on time for my sister and her husband 😊. While in town visiting family at Thanksgiving, we visited the Kerstmarkt at the Civic Center. It was pretty cold, and before walking up 8th Street, we wanted to warm up and grab a quick bite. That's when we stumbled on this place.
It is just east of the market, so it's a prime location to pick up a breakfast pastry or drink before shopping downtown. It had just opened, so we were the only customers. The place is pristine and bright and huge with several tables on one side.
My mom and I shared a pecan sticky bun thing, and it was warm and delicious. Don't be fooled by the plate in the photo - it's actually a sturdy, reusable plate made to look like a paper plate. They also provide forks and cups for water.
There were so many items to choose from, I'll have to go back and try some more.

The Muskegon and Grand Haven locations have lack of communication, poor costumer service and staff that aren’t knowledgeable of their job. I went in 3 days prior to order a 8in round bday cake. I got different feedback from each staff member. They can’t keep staff, and I was informed they need a 4 day notice to process my order 😂.
I will NEVER return or refer anyone to Rykes. I went to Costco and the customer service from Leigha, Erica, and Alyssa was great. I ordered a 10inch white round cake with vanilla cheesecake mousse filling. They don’t need a 4 day notice. Rykes stated they couldn’t process my order with a 3 day notice for a 8in round cake. Lol 😂 I ended up with a 10in with less of a notice and it was way cheaper. Rykes doesn’t have a policy stating it must be a 4 day notice and the staff was rude. Definitely lost my customer service!!!! I was informed the owner doesn’t talk to the customers and he only sees his staff once a month. Still waiting on Shirley to return my call.

Had a horrible experience with Ryke's Bakery in Holland. I had ordered a Orange Creamsicle Cake and 12 cupcakes for my daughter's College Graduation. We are not from the area but read the reviews and it sounded like a reputable establishment. I was wrong! I placed my order a week and a half prior to the Graduation at which point I paid in full. When me and my husband went to pick up the cake and cupcakes I was told the cake and cupcakes didn't arrive at the Holland store and they were trying to see if they could find where it was sent or even if it was made. They said they could get 6 cupcakes for me but that was the only solution they provided and 6 cupcakes wasn't going to feed 20+ people. They could give me a full refund, which they didn't even do right...they shorted me 2.37 which isn't much but it just added insult to injury. I left there with no cake, no cupcakes and was very upset. I was left scrabbling to find a cake! I ended up going to Sam's Club and they were very helpful! The cake was beautiful and ready when they said it would be.

I have not even picked up the cake and I already know that they lost my business due to poor customer service. If I hadn't already paid for the cake, I would be canceling. No changes requested to the 7" round -just wanted to add a name to the cardboard (honestly, they should probably ask that when you are ordering a birthday cake? My bad, I forgot too).

We catered some bite size desserts for one of our volunteer appreciation events, and we received so many compliments on the food! I messed up the pick up time and Kelsey went above and beyond to make sure we had the desserts we needed for our event. She even ended up delivering them to us on a day the store is normally closed, which was not expected and SO appreciated. The desserts were presented well and were so good! My husband and I got married in Holland, MI but live on the opposite side of the state, so we didn’t get to taste test our cake before ordering it. Being gluten free I never know what to expect! Absolutely amazing experience with Cakabakery! I’m not from the area, so I sent them some inspo photos for a birthday cake—and wow, they nailed it! The cake turned out exactly how I hoped. But here’s the best part: on pickup day, we got delayed enjoying all the fun at Tulip Time and missed the shop’s closing. I was so worried… but the manager went way out of her way and personally came back just to get us our cake. Talk about above and beyond! So grateful for the kindness—and the cake was as delicious as it was beautiful. Highly recommend!

We originally came across Cakabakery at a friend's wedding years ago and knew immediately that we wanted to use them for our future wedding. Cakabakery did such an amazing job on our wedding cake, we did three different flavors (chocolate, bourbon vanilla w/ salted caramel, and champagne w/ strawberry) and every flavor was to die for! We got so many compliments on our cake (how it look as a whole) and the way it tasted! We live about an hour away but will always be sure to stop by when we do visit the area!

Great customer service, the owner and cashier explained the items on the menu. I feel like they need another menu away from the cashiers because I felt like I was in people's way. The mangonada had actual mangos in it and the drink actually tasted like a mangonada you buy at a mexican fruit and ice cream shop. The shop was very clean and there was plenty of seating. Service is so slow and they never have any ingredients to make what I ordered. I will say I want mango piping bubbles and they will say “oh we only have passion fruit” out of the many options they have on the menu. Such good boba, definitely the best I've had in the Midwest! I'd recommend the passion fruit tea- a great blend of textures and sweet and tart. Their Thai tea is also good- they allow you to customize the sweetness levels which I find helpful. The dirty milk tea tastes a little boring in my opinion, but looks pretty! It’s really hit or miss coming here. Sometimes I leave happy and sometimes I leave unsatisfied. A lot of times they are out of certain things which is okay. I like to order the pandan waffles and there have been times where it wasn’t made that great or they didn’t include the condensed milk. I also think customer service could be better at times.
