I had initially planned on serving it the next time I had a party for dessert. Put it in the freezer and COMPLETELY SPACED!! Come back to two days ago (7/26/2025), when I’m cleaning my freezer out and here I find this pie. I figure I might as well make it, so I thaw it out overnight in the fridge. Simple instructions, and I follow them. The pie comes out of the over piping hot and a beautiful golden brown crust. Unfortunately, the top crust tasted like my freezer (but I take full responsibility, it was my fault for leaving it in the freezer for so long), but the filling and bottom crust were amazeballs. I believe it was an apple pie, and it had cranberries and a few blackberries as well. It is not a typical apple pie, but has sort of a more modern taste to it, and it’s delicious. The crust was crumbly to the touch and sooo buttery. I wish all pies could have this crust. I beg you, please, do not make the mistake of leaving it in the freezer for a year and a half, but bake it sooner than later, and just enjoy this delectable pie. I cannot wait to stop in again soon to try some more things.
