At first, she was a little unsure about what she could eat as it was only obvious on breakfast dishes that there were gluten-free options. A member of staff explained that there was gluten-free bread and so a lot more choice than we had thought, and not just the usual jacket potato we'd go for elsewhere. My daughter had the club sandwich with gf bread, which she said was the first sandwich she'd been able to have away from home in nearly 4 years (since being diagnosed). It was so good, and she's not had any problems caused by cross-contamination, which she has experienced in other places. I chose the Caribbean chicken wrap with sweet potato fries, which I really enjoyed too. The food was great, staff were really helpful and it was a great atmosphere. Cobble could definitely do more to tell people about their fantastic gluten-free offer. We'll be back because of how impressed we were.

Clearly hadn't been cleaned for some days, at least, prior to us arriving and still hasn't been cleaned when we left after 4 nights. The black kerb ramp outside is a little too steep for a power wheelchair so we used the white concrete kerb ramp instead. The staff were really welcoming, friendly and helpful. Last Friday we had a family get together over lunch and the food and drinks were fabulous as always. Staff really looked after us and especially our little 2 year old Esme. It was such a lovely time. I was sat waiting for coffee and cake for over half an hour with a new born baby. We were initially sat near the window but as there were no blinds we moved when another table became available as it was too hot for the baby. All the customers were complaining about the wait on coffee. An elderly lady asked where her coffee was. The girl with blonde hair behind the bar snapped at her ‘it’s not ready yet’ without even looking at her and continued talking to another member of staff. Really disrespectful to speak to anyone this way, never mind an elderly person - no respect. As she was walking back to her table she looked over to us in utter disbelief. This lady had ordered after us and received her coffee before we did. When another customer asked she said ‘well everyone keeps moving tables so all the orders are messing up’. We did inform them of the reason for our move to the next table. It was an absolute shambles. When asked where my coffee was the blonde girl behind the till bit back and said ‘everyone is waiting’. I highlighted the fact that it didn’t help that they’d been stood talking about a customers order they had got wrong for 20 minutes. She started to answer me back in front of all the other customers. The whole cafe was commenting on how awful the customer service was. Not to mention the 2 younger girls that worked there were ordering a woman in her 50’s around whilst they stood chatting! We had ordered frappes and were sat right in front of the till. They were constantly asking each other over the course of half an hour if they knew how to make them. We didn’t receive our cakes till the coffees came out - surely these could have been given as we waited. Shame really because it’s actually decorated lovely and has the potential to be a lovely cafe.
