They immediately sent me all information from the initial inquiry including pricing so I didn’t have to schedule a call or meeting. Wedding planning is already stressful and having that open communication from the get-go was so refreshing! So reasonably priced compared to anywhere else in the city and the venue space itself is absolutely gorgeous. They were so patient with all of my stress related wedding questions and were so on top of all communication. We catered through Capulet and Chef Matt knocked it out of the park! They work with your budget and preferences and treated us like royalty during our tasting. (And they have a great food/drink menu during the week when they aren’t doing events!) Everyone raved about the space, food/drinks, and staff! We had a lot of guests driving in from out of town and it was great to be able to rent the parking lot across the street, especially when your guests are not used to street parking. Do yourself a favor and rent the disco ball because it added that extra fun ambience! We did a lot of DIY decorations and they worked with us to make sure we had enough time/help/space to set up while they were getting the space ready. The only barrier we had was that the rooftop is only accessible by stairs. We were worried about some of our mobility impaired guests making it up there for the ceremony. They worked with us to adapt our ceremony plan for the dining room so that it was accessible for everyone and we are so truly grateful for the entire experience. Any small issues that popped up were immediately taken care of and we have no negative things to say. It was such an incredible night that we wish we could do it all again! The whole venue was very spacious and we had plenty of room for our 120 guests + the band on the dance floor. What you don't see from the pictures are the two people behind it. Working with Steve and Chris was one of the easiest parts of our wedding planning process. Steve was so incredibly kind, answered our questions in a timely manner, and helped us stay organized throughout the process. The food was pretty good. The oysters were absolutely amazing! None of my party eats oysters so I got to enjoy them by myself. I had the gator po-boy and red beans. The po-boy was good, nothing amazing. It was kind of dry to me could’ve used more sauce due to the filling to bread ratio. They were not stingy with the gator and I’m grateful for that. Them red beans tho! SMACKIN! Those red beans and rice were about the best I’ve had in a long time. Felt like home cooking. By far the best thing I had at the establishment. My lady had the red fish and veggies. She liked the food but felt the fish could’ve used a little more seasoning and sauce. The veggies were fresh and cooked well. I stated the fish and had the same opinion. Honestly the red beans are what gave this review an extra star because they were that good! I will also mention that the food was slow coming out given the place wasn’t really that packed. Not my first pick when in NOLA, it was convent being right on Bourbon St. and open late. The courtyard looks awesome for the cooler weather hangout, I even sat for a little in the shade admiring the plumerias . The inside also has plenty of seating for groups. I wish this place was closer to the areas I generally hangout. I'll have to make an effort to come back with friends.
