Definitely the iconic spot it is heralded for. Beignets were amazing. The frozen café au lait is a perfect pairing. The jazz music outside really sets a vibe for the puffs of powdered sugar as you bite into your Beignets. Its the standard and sets the bar. Start here and then try the others. Seat yourself and someone will come to you. Sometimes that takes longer than you want. Cash only but open 24hrs!!!

What can you say about Café Du Monde? It’s iconic for a reason. The beignets are absolutely incredible — hot, fresh, perfectly crisp on the outside with a light, airy chew on the inside, and piled high with powdered sugar. I went on a busy Sunday morning and was lucky to get a seat right away, and the service was surprisingly quick given how chaotic it can get. The restaurant is very casual and crowded, with cramped tables and chairs, and the waitstaff are constantly on the move. The restrooms are limited and not the nicest, but it’s a casual spot, and the prices reflect that. I was so impressed that I went back the next day — these beignets are truly worth a visit to New Orleans on their own. I’ve been dreaming about them for years, and they exceeded every expectation. Absolutely phenomenal. 100% recommend to anyone visiting the city.

We had to visit cafe de monde, it is an institution. Super busy any time of day. Beignets are related to donuts, but not as flavorful. They are covered with heap of powered sugar, so they very messy. I saw very few people that were not covered with white powder. To stay relatively clean you have to shake off the powder first, you still get a lot of sweetness as some of it heats up and melts onto the dough. The bathroom experience was memorable. There is a long line, and there is a bathroom director who tells the next person to enter one of two bathrooms (both are either/or ) bathroom. They are the size of the air plane bathroom, dirty, with wet floor. There are no paper towels, but one can use toilet paper to dry the hands. It is an experience I will remember. P.s. cash only. A plate with thee and 2 coffees were 15 dollars.

This place is OG beignets place in NO LA. The waiting queue is very fast moving, it's a place where you don't need to be seated. Servers are helpful and quick to serve. Their hot coffee with milk was amazing, kind of similar to filter coffee you get in India. It is rated so highly for a reason. Their Beignets is that reason. Period.

Cafe Du Monde is the quintessential touristy place of New Orleans. If you don't visit, did you even go to The Big Easy? Beignets and coffee are the name of the game here. The beignets are coated with enough powdered sugar to tempt the Narcotics Unit to throw you behind bars. Will you find better tasting beignets in the area? For sure. But will you eat them in a place as historical and nostalgic as the city itself? Heck no! The main thing to know is this place is cash only. Also, you can purchase one of the server hats and get the cheapest souvenir in the French Market. I've eaten here early morning and late at night, and it's truly a toss-up on which vibes I liked better. In the end, you can't go wrong.

Long line, but it moved steadily. It helps to know your order in advance, easy with the small menu. Have the right amount of cash ready. Staff did a nice job keeping things moving. It's not revolutionary, but the beignets are good, the chicory coffee is mild, and the beverages are serviceable. Fun to go with a group and check it off your tourist list (then try more beignets at different places with less wait time).

I had the chance to experience Preservation Hall about ten years ago, and when I returned to New Orleans recently, I didn’t think twice about going back. It was just as amazing as I remembered! The musicians are incredibly talented, and the whole experience feels so authentic. Close your eyes, and it’s like you’re in a movie ❤️absolutely magical. A must-do in NOLA!

We had a wonderful time here! Short 45 min concert but sooo entertaining! It’s a small area and you’re right there with the musicians. All of them are so talented and we enjoyed every single minute! Definitely recommend.

Great jazz venue, talented musicians, friendly staff. I highly recommend attending a concert here if you are visiting New Orleans. Sitting space fills up pretty quickly, so it’s best to purchase tickets in advance.

This was by far the most wonderful experience in such an unexpected way. It was truly authentic jazz music. We felt it in our soul and enjoyed it so much more than we ever expected. Highly recommend. We bought tickets about 2 weeks ahead of time and got to the hall about 30 minutes early. That worked out great.

This was the highlight of the trip. If tickets were available, I would have spent the money to go back. If you are a fan of joy and love music this is a must stop. In a little room, 6 musicians just absolutely bring it. We spent money on front row and in all honesty, it was a steal. The only unfortunate thing is they ask you not to photograph or video. Thankfully the memories will be in my head for as long as I have my brain functions. The musicians were awesome…but a special shout out to Ronell Johnson. Not only did he rule the trombone, but stuck around after the show for pictures and laughs until we were out the door. Such an awesome dude.

Known for being the oldest bar in American History. The place is certainly rustic. The service was quick, however the Hurricane wasn't great at all. The live music was great. The atmosphere gave mysterious as the space is dimly lit.

We saw the voodoo daiquiri (purple drank) in an article of must tries so when we were visiting we decided to give them a try. It didn't disappoint, we aren't big drinkers so they were strong tasting but they were well worth it. We also tried their hurricanes as we were told they were better than the originals. They were good! Not as sweet as the others.

Went to this bar to see the historic building, and it's absolutely worth a visit for the history alone. However, I was a bit disappointed with the service. I expected a little more professionalism when I asked about non-alcoholic options, and the bartender's comment about 'only serving real drinks' felt unnecessary. For someone who can't drink, it would have been nice to at least be offered a water bottle. It's a great place to visit for the atmosphere and history, but just be aware that they don't seem to cater to those looking for non-alcoholic beverages so you don’t have to go through an unnecessary comment and an unprofessional bartender

Lafitte's was one of the recommended bars for our group during our visit to New Orleans. It's almost at the end of the street when walking in the French Quarter, so it was a little far to walk, given our big group. It was a nicely themed bar, and the live music was nice. I did have to put earplugs in. It was also VERY crowded, even on a random Saturday night. I didn't order any food or drinks, probably because of the large crowd.

Lafitte’s Blacksmith Bar is one of the coolest spots in New Orleans and definitely worth a visit. I first came here years ago and spent the afternoon day drinking with some of the best Bloody Marys I’d ever had, peppery, spicy, and unforgettable. On this trip, I went back hoping to relive that experience. While the mix seems to have changed a bit and wasn’t quite as good as I remembered, it was still very solid. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the vibe. The history, the atmosphere, and the character of the bar are unlike anywhere else in the area. Even if you just stop in for a drink, it’s an experience that feels uniquely New Orleans.

We always have to make a stop in LaFitte’s when we go to NOLA - I love the look and feel of the whole bar, but I especially love the piano area. I’m a sucker for a good piano singalong! I did have to knock off a couple of stars for service - there were three, male bartenders there (that we saw) on our most recent visit, and none of them were very personable. My husband went to get me a drink, and the one he went to seemed to be put off by having to serve a customer. I went back later and two others were standing together behind the bar (no line waiting when I walked up) and they were not helpful either. We decided to move along at that point. I’m sure we’ll go back on our next visit, I always like to go for the piano side - I was just a bit surprised by the service this time. Not a deal breaker - hopefully just something that can be improved on.

Woldenberg Park is a true gem. Along the Mississippi River, this beautiful park offers great views, a tranquil atmosphere, and plenty of activities to enjoy, especially in peak season. You can take a leisurely stroll along the riverwalk, sit in the shade, and watch the boats float by. The park is clean and well-maintained, making it perfect for a relaxing morning or evening walk. The park's serene ambiance is a welcome atmosphere from the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street. You can even catch live jazz music near the paddle boats! It's an ideal spot to unwind, take in the views, and enjoy the unique blend of art, nature, and culture. Whether you're interested in history, art, or simply enjoying the outdoors, Woldenberg Park has something for everyone.

This was a nice park. I didn't see much of the park itself because I was attending the French Quarter Festival. The waterfront view of the park was really nice as well as being able to take a stroll in the boardwalk. If you're waking a dog or just out for a leisurely stroll this would be a great place to get away and enjoy. If you're visiting the area and need a break from the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street this could be a great opportunity to take the trolley or even take a walk and get a little peace and relaxation with a view of the ships and other scenery.

Woldenberg Park is a beautiful stretch along the Mississippi River; peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a stroll. It’s clean and well-kept, with plenty of benches, sculptures, and grassy areas to relax or watch the boats go by. Located right next to the aquarium and the French Quarter. Lovely river breeze and great views.

A really nice and big park on the Mississippi River, it’s very clean and pleasant to walk through. There are also plenty of places to sit down in the shade.

After the aquarium and insectarium visit we went to check out the river boats. Great view and a beautiful day. The kids loved to look at the water and we just enjoyed the evening.

A nice place to take a walk or sit and enjoy the river. The only problem i have is seeing homeless sleeping all around.

This was a cute little aquarium. I enjoyed the fact that they had a section dedicated to Mississippi River fish and animals. It is not a huge aquarium, so it really did not take a long time to get through, even if you are reading all the displays and taking your time. I super enjoyed the insectarium. Bugs aren't for every one but the displays were nice and all the information cool.

The New Orleans Aquarium is a thoughtfully designed and truly immersive experience. The layout flows naturally; beginning with exhibits that highlight the rich local habitats of Louisiana and then gradually expanding into global regions like the Amazon and Mayan areas. Each section feels purposeful, with smooth transitions and plenty of space to linger and observe. About halfway through, there’s a well-placed café. It was a perfect pause point to grab a meal before continuing the journey. The combination of regional storytelling, diverse marine life, and beautiful display design makes this aquarium both educational and inspiring. A fantastic experience and highlight of New Orleans.

Sad that the snorkeling experience isn't currently available. *Little tip: If you are planning to do the aquarium and the zoo you can add the zoo ticket for a little less than $10 more for a regular entry fee at the front desk or online. Make sure that the zoo is open on the day you want to go, they are closed Tues-Weds. You also need to use that second ticket within a few days- double check on that, too. So we jumped on the website for the zoo and bought the three attractions package! It's VERY WORTH IT!!!! The insectarium and the aquarium are together and then it's a 20 Min ride up to the zoo. We had a blast! Get the bundle deal! The butterflys are so awesome, they will land on you. I got some great shots of the big ones! At the aquarium there is a penguin ( he is in the photos ) His name is flippy.....HE LOVES THE CAMERA!

A large enough zoo that can make it a day experience depending on your pace. With various opportunities with events with some of the animals, but! They may be day specific so check the calendar. I recommend waiting to reach the swap to eat. Makes a nice halfway point and if you brought your own food or would like the cafe’s, the one at the swamp will have different dishes and you can eat with the gators. Oh for the parents they do have some light alcohol options like Truly or some other beer brands at either location. Lastly, the 1st thing you may want to do is go to gift shop and immediately buy a refrigerated spray fan… of course it won’t be cold all day but in those you’ll be so glad, also feel free to throw some ice in there to keep it cool. This place was great!! The mermaids and the penguins were the favorites for the kids. My daughter didn't want to leave the mermaid, she was sooo excited. We always love to see the sea turtles and jellyfish. As always we had to get some plushes to remember the trip.

Our grandson LOVED the special exhibit of mythical creatures! He HAD to get on every single one that had a saddle !!! It made my soul so happy to see him rolling/ running down monkey hill! That marks the 4th generation of my family that has played on that hill!! It brought tears to my eyes!!! The thing he loved the absolute best was seeing the sea lions!!

I did not expect a tiny little burger grill to be the place I hit up twice in a 2 day trip to NOLA but this beef burger was one of the best I have ever had in my life so couldn’t help myself. I don’t even understand how or why it was as good as it was because it looks like any old burger but it was seriously amazing. Just simple food with every detail done to absolute perfection I guess. My partner had the chicken sandwhich our first visit and said it was a 10/10 too. The vibe here is great, super cute interior and the location is so close to where you’re probably gonna be on bourbon street so easy to pop in and I highly reccomend you do. I also want to comment on the service from the staff as I did see quite a few comments talking this down - both times we went we had a diffeeent server and they were both really lovely and attentive. They were friendly, Made sure we had everything we needed and seemed to genuinely care about delivering good service which wasn’t the case everywhere we went in the French quarter. 10/10, you gotta go here at least once but more likely, you’ll end up back twice.

Kat was phenomenal. She welcomed everyone inside and got our group of four seated quickly. She took our drink order, and made us laugh right off the bat. Very pleased to have her attend to our lunch, which was extremely delicious. I had the special club with bacon, ham, turkey, two types of cheese, mayo, tomato, and lettuce. Two of us had the beef burger with cheese, one with fries, and one with onion rings. Our fourth order was the corn dog, all of which were great options. Kat kept the entire diner clean as people checked out, picking up dishes and cleaning the tables in a prompt manner. I would love to come back as we enjoyed our experience here.

Walked in on Sunday afternoon with my husband, daughter, and father in law. I didn’t get her name, but the red haired manager/server acknowledged us and we sat down right away. Ordered 2 club sandwiches, and the breakfast burger. While I am not a fan of eggs, I did take a bite of the breakfast burger and had my socks blown off! Even though I was eating the best club sandwich I’ve ever eaten, I wish I had ordered the breakfast burger. Our conversation with the lady was even better. As a tourist, I had a million questions lol. Probably the best conversation out of the entire visit to NOLA/Louisiana. Really enjoyed the camaraderie she showed us, and the vibe of the entire place was fantastic!!! Would definitely eat here again!!!

This was one of my favorite burger spots, but I got a breakfast burger with a live roach or beetle or whatever type of insect that is. When I showed the server this, he promised to comp the meal and give us a new one. Obviously I didn’t want it, but he insisted. Because I agreed to the replacement meal that I did not want I was then required to pay the full price, when the check came. It was 4 am and I was too tired to argue. It ruined it for me it’s one of the best burgers in America but now how many times did I eat a bug and not know?

Amazing, cheap, fast and delicious food. Felt like a nostalgic throwback despite being a foreigner, like this was the closest I was going to get to a true American diner experience. Loved it and is one of the meals I think about a lot from our trip in NOLA.

I've been to New Orleans seven times and this is my first time trying the Muffuletta! And I wanted it from the place that created it, Central Grocery and Deli! The Muffuletta was great! We all loved it! Even my grandson and he's a picky eater. The Muffuletta was huge, could easily feed four people.

I had the Mufoletta which I really enjoyed. I bought the 1/4 section because a whole one can feed an adult family of 4. The service was good and friendly. The atmosphere was very casual. The prices were fair. I will revisit if I ever visit NOLA again.

Cool little shop to visit while in New Orleans. They say this is where the original muffaletta was invented. We ordered 1 whole muffaletta to split between my wife & I and still had half leftover after we both filled up on a quarter of the sandwich each.

Everyone comes for the famous muffalotta sandwich. It’s huge and can serve 4 adults. Tastes great with the layers of cheese, meat and olive salad. I was a little disappointed because they make them up in advance and the top bread was covered with olive juice/oil. I had to blot it off with a napkin.

The Muffuletta is the greatest!! The original in NOLA so it's a must try, incredibly tasty and substantial. A whole muffuletta is like a cake, round and split in 4 quarters. My husband and I shared one half muffuletta, which is split in 2 quarters and the perfect size for 2 people. It's absolutely delicious full of tasty Italian meats, cheese and briny olives. The shop has a seating area inside, or you can take it to go as it's sold neatly packed. The deli shop sells some cool goodies including the olive salad they put in muffulettas. Loved this place!

First time eating here, we had perfect timing no line, I ordered half a sandwich which was $15, a whole was $30. The portions are huge so if you’re eating for one the half portion is more than enough. The olive salad was amazing, the sandwich is very filling perfect for soaking up all the drinks you’ve already had or yet to have. Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re not interested in the sandwich they have a variety of olives and jared goods.

Starting out the place is very pretty and service is amazing. But from reviews and claims such as best new restaurant I’d expected more. Started with 3 appetizers and based on these didn’t make it to main course. Tomato salad was very under seasoned. This is not the place to ask for salt and pepper but I had to. The artichoke salad also lacked a punch and was very subtle. Best appetizer by far the tuna tartare. That was amazing. And while the homemade bread was tasty and came with some amazing flavored butters and oil, homemade bread that fresh should not be that hard. It was difficult to pull apart and cut. Server was amazing and very attentive and friendly.

We had dinner and the food was delicious. They had a good variety of meat choices from prime, dry aged, and Japanese A5 Waegu. We were initially seated in the dining area based on our reservation but quickly asked to be changed due to the unbelievably loud conversation from the large group of diners across the room. No fault to the restaurant though. The sides were delicious and portions were adequate.

This was our first time there. The food was amazing. We enjoying everything and it was perfect portions for each individual. The flavors were on point and everything we had was top notch and highest quality. Will defiantly come back and try new items from the menu.

Hands down the best restaurant we tried during our New Orleans trip! We started with the Shawarma(must-try) paired with their complimentary bread, which was just amazing. For the main course, we had the “Falls Off the Bone” and the Butcher’s Cut. Both were filled with flavor and generously portionedbut I personally loved the Butcher’s Cut more. To top it all off, we shared the Baklava Cheesecake for dessert. Now that’s the way to end the meal! Every server we interacted with was incredibly friendly and knew their menu. The place was spotless,. They earned a repeat customer. I’ll be back every time I’m in New Orleans.

My husband and I had the pleasure of enjoying Felipe’s on yesterday. Everything was simply amazing. Our bartender Iris was sweet and very informative. She was such a delight. We enjoyed ourselves so much. You have one of the best happy hours we’ve experienced.

It’s a great fast casual spot that is consistently good and fast service. Affordable for the convenient location. There also a full bar and the frozen margaritas are great

ZACH Was a very fun polite bartender and answered all of our questions in a spunky polite manner which is a change from most peoples attitudes in the quarter. If you sit at the bar and Zach is working your in for a treat. He also made my wife a mocktail that looked like a cocktail and tasted amazing.

This location has been a part of my New Orleans story since it opened in 2010; the drinks and food have been a constant in a part of the city that is always in flux. Yen and her team ensure guests have a great experience, and I look forward to my next Swirl Margarita and Chicken Tinga Burrito!

I wanted to like this place. All fairness, I was looking for a full service Mexican restaurant with hosts/hostesses. This is more like fast food where you order at the counter, wait for your food, and go find a seat. The food was mediocre, nothing great about it. The staff wasn't the friendliest either. Considering there's so many restaurant choices in New Orleans, you'd think there would be more focus on customer service. If you want fast food, this place is fine. If you want full service, good food, and courteous waitstaff, I wouldn't recommend this place.

I love Felipe’s and this is best one. I always get either a burrito or the nachos. I love the carnitas, and there’s a ton of other options to change up my order anytime. Even when it’s busy late on a weekend night they move so fast. Also love hanging out at the bar and talking to employees, Yen has always been friendly and cool, my friends and I love hanging there!

My go-to is the spicy taco salad — it’s got a nice kick! I like to pair it with a rocks margaritas. Always hits the spot. You feel welcomed here. The team is super friendly, and the restrooms are always clean.

This is an awesome exhibit dedicated to all Americans who participated in World War II. The photos do not do this place justice. Every exhibit was heavily themed and made you feel like you were in the war. This place also has exhibits that appeal for everyone. My wife is completely disinterested in "old dead white guy history", but she found all of the museum fascinating. She really enjoyed the home front exhibit that depicted what people were doing domestically for the war effort. My favorite part of the museum was the interactive digital video chat they had with veterans. I feel like this was a very hidden gem of the museum, and I could have spent all day talking to the people.

The space is massive, filled with immersive, interactive exhibits that pull you in and keep you exploring for hours. The volunteers and docents are incredible; genuinely enthusiastic, deeply knowledgeable, and patient with every curious question. You could easily spend two full days here and still come back to find something new and meaningful. War and the horrors that come with it are never easy to witness, but this museum approaches the subject with unflinching honesty and immense respect. It doesn’t sugarcoat the pain, yet it beautifully honors the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of those who lived through it. If you’re a history lover, this place will move you, challenge you, and stay with you long after you leave. It’s an unforgettable experience!

One of the best "national" level museums I've been to. The exhibits are professional, the interactive features are not overly immersive, and time sized for a day trip. The films (added cost, well worth it) are well done and added to the experience. I appreciate the level of detail the museum has taken. Obviously WW2 had some type A personalities, but the museum has taken a "micro" instead of "macro" approach to the storytelling. Most of the displays and narratives focus on the nuanced stories of the junior enlisted and officers. How their lives were, things they did, details that elicit the emotion that is often glossed over. A+, will return with my family.

What a sprawling museum, helpful staff. To properly view everything, I would suggest 2 full days. Also make sure to watch the 48 minute 4d movie Beyond All Boundaries, extremely well worth the cost. There is $30 parking lot adjacent to the entrance to the museum.

Simply amazing. It takes you a few hours to see everything. Lots of information videos pictures and artefacts from the wall. It helps you understand the history of the wall the different battles and everything. Loved the experience

This was the best history museum I've been to in the U.S. I'm fortunate to live close to D.C., Philadelphia, and other cities with a lot of history and great museums, but this topped those easily. The WWII museum goes all out with comprehensive, interactive experiences that make it easy to follow key events throughout the war. They did a nice job ensuring that each section in an exhibit flows naturally into the next, creating a narrative you want to follow -- which makes a lot of sense since Stephen Ambrose was a driving force behind the museum. Give yourself almost a full day to spend here. It's massive.

We purchased tickets for a jazz river cruise. The cruise was very nice. There was an open bar and an optional buffet. We were there for the music. The band was really good. There was a trumpet, keyboard, upright acoustic bass, and drums. There was a small crowd Everyone really enjoyed the music.

Riverwalk Outlets is a clean, well-maintained indoor shopping center—perfect for escaping the New Orleans heat. It’s in a super convenient location, just steps from the convention center, multiple hotels, and major attractions. All stores are inside, and there are several entrances for easy access. Great spot to shop, cool down, and explore the city!

There are plenty of shops at this outlet mall. It is almost 3 blocks long. Food courts are available in 2 different spots. The river boat tour is right out back with the Mississippi right there. Ample seating inside. Hardly any seating once you step outside.

I had a great time at the Riverwalk Outlet! The location is perfect—right by the water with scenic views that make shopping even more enjoyable. The outlet has a wide selection of stores, from designer brands to more affordable options, so there's something for everyone. The atmosphere was lively but not overly crowded, which made for a comfortable shopping experience. Staff at most stores were friendly and helpful, and I found some great deals on clothes and accessories. There are also plenty of food options to grab a bite or relax with a coffee. Overall, it’s a fun place to shop, stroll, and unwind. Highly recommended!

Riverwalk Outlets is perfect for a little shopping before or after the Paddlewheeler Creole Queen – Mississippi River Cruise. Various brands with good prices. Ps. There is one Café Du Monde inside this outlet.

It's a beautiful place to go sightseeing there's always something to do here you would have to stay awhile to see everything the city has to offer so come on down and enjoy life 🧬

Large shopping center with many luxury brands. Prices were good. Staff were friendly at every place we went. The food selection was great. I can't attest to the parking because we parking in the Port parking for our cruise and then walked over. Yes, it's connected. It is a bit of a walk though. But it was covered for 90% of it and had a lovely view of the river. It was a very convenient shopping center if you forgot something for your cruise or just wanted to kill time.

The hotel was beautiful and the room was spacious! It had a colossal tub in the bathroom that I had to luxuriate in! The location was wonderful as you only have to walk across the street to get there. There’s an outlet mall that is only steps away. Restaurants and shops are in walking distance and Bourbon Street is close enough to walk there. My front desk clerk Aria was so friendly that I felt like we friends! She was so helpful and knowledgeable! I love it here and definitely will return!

Armani was EXCEPTIONAL. From the first moment I step foot on the property to check-out he was always available for questions. Extremely professional and willing to go over and beyond. He was extremely impressive and the kind employee that you want leading your organization. As a Ceasar Platinum member I've stayed at Ceasar properties throughout the country and Ceasar New Orleans is A+. The entire staff was super friendly. We loved the "welcome back", "good morning" and "have a great days" every time you walked around the corner, this made it super special. BIG Thank You to Aria for her help and great information upon arriving, we appreciate it. Locations is SUPER, walking distance to almost EVERYTHING! I have to say NOLA people are some of the most friendliest individual that we've met.

First time here and Aria at the front desk was super amazing and friendly. Took her time to explain the area short sweet and to the point. Will definitely come back. The casino was also fun didnt win but enjoyed my hours of playing....

Planned a trip to New Orleans for a wedding. Wanted a place near Bourbon and the French Quarter, close enough to walk but far enough for sleep and quiet. Caesars Hotel and Casino met that goal. Check in moved fast and the staff greeted me with direct service. The room offered space, strong water pressure, solid lighting, and a clean layout that worked for rest and short breaks between events. A small issue came up early in the stay. Misty from the front desk addressed it with clear communication and follow through. The solution came fast and set the tone for the rest of the visit. You get short walks to the French Quarter, the riverfront, and streetcar lines. The building sits in a location that keeps noise levels lower than the main blocks of the Quarter. This stay worked for sleep, convenience, and service. I plan to use this hotel again on future trips to the city.

You have to park in a parking garage or on the street, but that's not advised. When you park in the parking garage, you have to get a parking ticket and you have to play at least 30 minutes to get your ticket validated. It is very annoying when you go from the hotel to the casino. You have to go down a set of escalators that is not working or is completely shut down. The elevator that they had to go down as well to the lower floor to cross over that was not even working. If you don't have proper equipment to handle your customers, they're not going to come back. The coffee shop called 501.Coffee was very slow in service and they ignored me when I stopped on my way out. I stood there about 10 minutes while the manager and the cashier were standing there. Talking about a schedule. If you don't like your customers, keep doing what you're doing and ignore them. And as usual, the food at the casino is very expensive. Although the hamburgers were pretty good.

Stanley M and Amanda at the front desk were terrific. I’ve stayed at the Harrahs but this was my first time at Caesars. Stanley got a panoramic view room for us. When we discovered there was a smoke smell in the room, Amanda got us the same room on a higher floor. They were both very kind and helpful

If you ask me, this is my favorite place to eat. It’s a little expensive, but totally worth it. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is excellent — they even explain every dish you order. The best part is the egg they serve at the beginning, covered in mousse sauce, it’s just amazing. I’ve been here more than twice and every time I go, I fall in love with the food all over again.

We were very excited to come to Restaurant August as it has been acclaimed one of the best in America. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and is a perfect place for a date or celebration. Our server, Jordan, was pleasant and helpful, but I believe they were overly busy that evening, so we did have some service issues. (One item ordered did not come with the appetizers, my glass of wine arrived when I was more than halfway through my entrée, and we requested a split check but had to remind him again after he dropped the bill.) The food was really wonderful. The amuse-bouche, appetizers, and desserts were outstanding. At this particular price point, I would have expected a scallop or two more on my entree (only 3), but flavors were on point and beautifully presented on all entrées. So, overall, it was a good experience and delicious food, but we left feeling a little disappointed because of the disjointed service. (They did bring us a couple extra desserts as an apology for the service issues, but no formal apology acknowledging the failure to provide excellent service was given.)

November 2025: Very elegant dining room, superb service. The options are chef's menu or ala cart. We decided to go with the menu as I wanted to try venison with fore gra. It was prepared ala beef wellington. It was okay, but not as good as I had in the past . The appetizer I chose was wague tartar in Vietnamese fish sauce and lemongrass. Excellent. For me that was the high light of the dinner.

One of my favorite restaurants ever. The scallops were out of this world. I don't think I will ever have better scallops, I want to come back to New Orleans just to go back to this restaurant. The service, ambiance, and food were way beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant, what a fabulous experience.

This restaurant was on my list for a long time as its 2 block away from my house still never got a chance to go there. Reservation was very smooth while i had some questions about my dietary restrictions which they took care of it. I am usually type of guy who enjoys some good expensive wine than the food and i was impressed with both wine selections which my sommelier suggested me. Me and my gf really enjoyed all the food with lots of colours and flavours. Had a wonderful chef’s special 7-10 course meal with my gf service and the explaination of the food was amazing but could have been more interactive service like waiter came once or twice and saw him at the end !! Lots of different flavours on food. Thank you soo much once again for doing vegetarian 10 dish 7 course menu. I would recommend them to try for michelin star or hopefully they can get it when michelin visited new orelans !

Really high quality food. The Sweet Corn Blueberry dessert is one of the best desserts in the world. Please never take this off your menu. I will come back again and again as long as this dessert is on the menu. There are two dining rooms, one is a bright beautiful room with high ceiling and windows. This is the room you want to sit in. The other room is a tiny cramped room with tables packed right next to each other. For some odd reason they sat us in the small dark room while 2 tables sat empty the entire time in the beautiful main dining room. Had to deduct a star for that.

Exceptional restaurant. It is no wonder why this restaurant is busy despite its location outside of the French quarter. The food is excellent with service to match. You cannot go wrong with any dish on the menu. It is elevated southern cooking with unique tasty items such as the rabbit and biscuits. The brisket was also well cooked with balanced flavor. Their crab appetizer was very tasty although I preferred it dipped with the house bread rather than the toasties that accompanied the dish. The plates are hardy but not too heavy, so it was a welcomed break from the fried and carb heavy meals found throughout NOLA. You can tell the quality of the restaurant based on the pre meal fresh artisan bread served. This restaurant checks all the boxes required for it to be considered a high quality restaurant.

Great meal! Wood fired oven adds a subtle smoky flavor to the food. We had wood fired oysters ( gluten free) catfish courtbouillon ( gluten free), tomatoes and okra ( gluten free) and beef brisket. Everything was excellent. I appreciate that they listed all their gluten free items on a separate menu. The atmosphere is relaxed and our server was great.

We came here for a quick pit stop and because we wanted to try the alligator. We ordered a glass of beer, dumbo, and of course alligator. Both appetizers were really good. The dumbo could be better but still very good. But the alligator, wow, it’s superb. It’s our first time having an alligator meat, but if you told me it was chicken or pork or duck, we would believe you. It was tender, not too chewy, almost like chicken thigh consistency and it didn’t smell fishy at all. In fact the combo with the mint leaves and parsley and onion and spicy mayo made it all taste excellent. When the waiter said it’s one of the best in the city, we didn’t doubt that. The place is huge and very cold. Maybe for a hot summer day it could be a refuge, but today it was a bit raining and temp wasn’t too warm. Service was very friendly, even though we told our waiter we were there just for a pit stop. Clean place and good space between tables. So highly recommend this place.

My Fiance and I were in Nola for a work event. A co-worker had looked up the best place to eat in New Orleans. Cochon was at the top of the list. It's hard to put in words, how good everything was. Jesse (sorry Jesse if I got the wrong spelling!) was our server, and he knew the menu like he wrote it. We ended up ordering most of what he recommended. Everything was fantastic, so much so, that we went back the next night. It was just as incredible and did not disappoint. Highly recommend going to New Orleans just for this restaurant.

The wood fired oysters is probably one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my life! For the main dish, we tried the brisket which literally melts in your mouth and the rabbit & dumplings that was so tasty and flavorful. The complementary bread and butter is also absolutely amazing. Nice and friendly staff, and fantastic atmosphere!

The service…Nick W was our waiter and was phenomenal in all ways. Kind spirited and seemingly enjoyed his job! He made our dining experience incredible! The food…we had rabbit n dumplings, smothered Lima beans, shrimp stew, and pan-seared grouper with a beer and old-fashion. Every. Single. Thing. sat in front of us was delicious. 10/10 recommend!

It was our first restaurant in New Orleans for dinner. The menu features authentic New Orleanian cuisine with dishes that, at first glance, may seem unusual, but in reality they are unique and full of the typical flavors of Creole cooking. The restaurant has two entrances on parallel streets, which is very convenient. The place itself is quite spacious, with plenty of room for many tables. The staff takes care of you as soon as you walk in, and everyone is very friendly, always ready to help and explain the dishes if you have any doubts. The bread is absolutely AMAZING – one of the best we’ve ever had. Dishes are fairly priced for what you get. Definitely recommended!

Sat at the bar. They two bartenders were great. Every options for libations was available. The boudin balls were the best I’ve had. The tuna wraps were good, but I’d skip next time. Had a cup of gumbo that was ok. Was expecting the gumbo to knock my socks off but feel it lacked the depth of flavor a good rue delivers. Either way, I’d go back and try more food.

Nice atmosphere, needed a reservation. Food was good but a little on the skimpy side for what you pay. Service was great, friendly staff. One downside was the noise, it was very loud and I got the feeling of a cafeteria environment.

Just had a great meal at Meril’s. We spent ages looking for somewhere so we’re pleased we found this place round the corner from our hotel. Rasheed was so lovely, polite and a great host. The food was delicious and clearly fresh. Would recommend!

We dined at Meril in New Orleans during our summer travels. The atmosphere was vibrant and lively, which created a fun vibe, but it did get quite noisy at times. To start, we ordered a few cocktails, the watermelon salad, and the ribs as appetizers. We also had the upside-down cornbread, which unfortunately arrived quite late—actually after the mains had already come out. For our main courses, I had the market fish and my husband had the ribeye. The fish was completely undercooked, and when I mentioned this to our server, he said he would let the manager know, but unfortunately no one ever followed up or addressed it, so I basically just ended up not eating it, which was highly disappointing. On top of that, the service experience was quite confusing. We had multiple waiters switching during the meal, which made things feel a bit disjointed and didn’t help the flow of the dinner at all. Overall, Meril has a fun atmosphere and some creative dishes, but the execution of the food and the service coordination left to be desired.

Before ordering we were told that the Chef was a 2 Star Michelin Chef. We Ordered the Wise Guy flatbread pizza and the Candied Ribs. The pizza was amazing- the spiciness was wonderful , the ribs were “just” ok. Desert was an apple pie with salted caramel ice cream. Unfortunately the apple pie 🥧 had no flavor at all. Which was a let down. The service was great and the restaurant is lovely inside. We would still go back and Definitely worth a visit.

Keys was an incredible server. His food recommendatios did not miss!!! Layla was outstanding at the Bar. Her knowledge of the bourbon were second to none. Def recommend.

The restaurant is beautiful, great atmosphere and service and the food is amazing. The only thing that I didn’t like is that the air conditioner was so cold that you couldn’t enjoy your meal, everyone at the table was shivering and the food was too cold in a few minutes.

Jesus. The most beautiful city park I've ever been in. And I didn't even cross into the north section. The south part has great water features, the free sculpture garden which is fun and chances to spot turtles, storks and alligators.

The City Park in New Orleans has to be one of the best I’ve ever been in. The landscaping is beautiful and there are several places to see inside the park, the Botanical Garden, Story Land, the Museum of Art etc. There’s plenty of parking and security too.

A vast expanse packed with culture, activities and calm relaxing outdoor spaces. New Orleans City Park is everything it promises to be, a park in the city. It is also big, and home to a range of popular sports facilities including football, tennis, golf, disc golf, running, dog walking and more. There are eateries within (e.g. cafe du monde). The park is equipped with important park apparatus such as trees, grass, bodies of water and rollercoasters. A train circumnavigates the south end of the park. The northern end of the park presents itself as more barren. We saw a large black snake in the grass near the disc golf course which we understand was either completely harmless and friendly, or deadly. A lady picking leaves nearby remarked she’d never seen a snake in the park before, and was both thankful yet envious that she had not witnessed this with us.

My favorite city park in the states! Truly a gem to visit. We rented a swan boat which was fun but tiring (duh!) Unfortunately, I left my phone in the car while we walked the other areas, but the pics on the site are better than any I could do! We'll be back, as always!

Absolutely beautiful park! We only had about an hour to be in City Park, but we wished could have had all day. There is something for everyone here. If you want a sweet treat, stop at Café Du Monde. If you want to see areas with deep historical roots, look at the 300+ year old trees and more. Looking for a great spot to take your kids, there's an area of the park for that! Looking to enjoy the water and maybe see an alligator, there are plenty of spots for that. Beautiful. Picturesque.

Went to the fishing pier. It was nice, but the ends or corners should have some shade or cover. It also should have a portable or permanent restroom facility.

It’s an amazing place to visit if you are ever in New Orleans. They have beautiful exhibits and interesting free programs. The museum is spacious and exhibits are easy to navigate. The museum is located inside a lovely park with a lake. All staff members are friendly and helpful. I only wish we had more time to spend at the museum and at the park.

The New Orleans Museum of Art is such a hidden gem. The rotating exhibits are always something special and worth checking out each visit. The permanent collections are fantastic too—especially the galleries on Africa, China, and Orientalism. Beautifully curated, peaceful, and inspiring every time. A must for art lovers in the city.

So much beautiful and dramatic art to view. The museums provides info of the time period, meaningful symbolism and history behind lot of it the pieces of art. Definitely a must see when you come to New Orleans and I love how the botanical garden and the sculpture garden is close by. Staff was friendly and helpful and restrooms were clean!

This is a wonderful place to visit if you appreciate art. They consistently have a great variety of pieces on display. Plus, there are always fresh exhibits being introduced to keep things interesting. The cafe is also quite lovely, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. I highly recommend stopping by for an enjoyable afternoon.

Beautiful exhibits! I didn't expect to find so many famous paintings in here. The museum has three floors, a lot of classic art, but also modern art and ancient artifacts from all over the world! The museum is spacious and quiet. It also have a cafeteria and a nice gift shop

Best spot to cool off during the week. Free on weds for Louisiana residents. Sculpture garden is great when it’s cooler outside. Must visit for anyone in the area.

The African Masquerades exhibit was a breathtaking celebration of artistry, tradition, and cultural storytelling. From the moment I walked in, I was surrounded by vibrant colors, intricate carvings, and masks that seemed to carry the spirit of centuries-old rituals.

Was crazy to see this place potential being wasted, was dirty and empty and I really have to same pretty bad shape! Was amazing I ask the security guy few questions and he was amazing describing all about this place and history ,he take the time to talk to me and was the best of coming here…. I don’t know if a came in a bad day ! So sad to see this place abandoned like this !! I didn’t ask the security guy name, he did amazing ! Monday morning security guy … good job!!!

Oh what a wonderful world A wonderful little world housed just outside of the French quarter of New Orleans. This quiet little haven of peace serves as a public green space, equipped with sculptures, plaques and more honouring the late founder of jazz. Though I would say it’s potential has been let down by its custodians. The park has some quaint little walkways and bridges which personally I enjoyed. This included a wooden bridge over a small beck, within which turtles can be spotted. We pondered on whether the turtles are natural or placed by man. I can’t help feeling like this park isn’t lifted to its full potential, due to the abundance of scaffolding and heras fencing, and the colour of the water. This could be a truly magical place but does feel somewhat uncared for. I understand there has been discussion about whether the adjacent parking lots may be incorporated into the park at some point.

Louis Armstrong Park has the appearance of a public space designed in the Lyndon Johnson era. Stark looking concrete bridges over concrete ponds seemingly without intent or direction. I can't quite figure out what seems so odd about the park. The rarely used Mahalia Jackson Theater is on the property as well as a very large abandoned building, the Municipal Auditorium whose intent is unknown to me, but is in great need of rehabilitation. I find an Executive Order from the Mayors office setting up a committee to study its redevelopment. Hopefully something is in the works. There is also an older historic building complex in the middle of the park, fenced off. Don't know what that is. The stark concrete bridges would be a lot more pleasing to the eye if they were faced with brick. Anyway, it does serve as an outdoor space for events and gathering spot for walking parades. I'm not sure whether they even have bathrooms in the park. There are some nice statues.

Amazing park dedicated to a legend. A nice surprise to stumble across while out seeing the sites of the French Quarter.

The park has great appeal. The city or whoever oversees the park needs to maintain it. It was so sad to see the level of trash that filled the water feature.... the landscape is too nice to look like that. It can be a serene place. Also some of the night lights on the entry of the park are our. Please clean the water up. I still think it's worth going to visit.

This park has potential to be a nice place to visit but at the moment it appears to be almost abandoned and not taken care of at all. The artificial lake in the middle of the park is so dirty and overall even in plain daylight this place does not gave me the sense of being safe. I feel this is unfortunate given it is dedicated to one of the best personalities in Jazz and one of the most recognized musician

We enjoyed the environment and service. One of the staffs was very good at describing (and selling us) the dishes. However, we tried three appetizers and one main course, all of which tasted unreasonably salty (and my taste is typically on the saltier side). As the first time customer there we were not sure whether this is a one-time miss or the dishes are always like this. The presentation was excellent, and I can imagine some of them being very good if not so salty. We did enjoyed the desserts (rice pudding and lemon Madeline) and the pretzel bread service.

Truly incredible meal. Best pork loin I’ve ever had. One of the best pieces of fish I’ve ever had. Every accompanying flavor was thoughtful, bold, and delicious. Top 5 Restaurant in New Orleans in my opinion.

Mamou is an intimate and chic European restaurant with the perfect ambiance for a special night out. We enjoyed a bit of red wine alongside the beef, which was absolutely delicious. The setting felt elegant yet welcoming, making the whole experience memorable. A true gem in New Orleans!

Might be my fav restaurant in the quarter - Food is divine and made with such great attention to detail. My favorite seasonal dish is the tomato and peach, it’s so refreshing. This time I had the fish- omg it was amazing! Now the service is another level, you instantly feel welcomed. I feel like this place must have read unreasonable hospitality or something because it’s amazing from beginning to end. Speaking of the end- dessert was delicious- check the pictures 😋🤤will be back, hats off the the chef and his team.

Unbelievably good. The menu was unique and the presentation of each dish was beautiful. The pretzel bread service with smoked butter and the Louisiana heirloom tomato salad is a must. For mains we had the fish Florentine, which was a rolled black drum filet, served with caviar Bier Blanc sauce, on a bed of steamed spinach. FANTASTIC. We also had the ribeye, which was reverse seared and cooked to perfection, served with the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. The wine list was excellent, and Molly, the somm, was super friendly and helpful introducing the wines. We will definitely be back!!!

OMG!! For someone who dies not normally enjoy Ribeye, I THOROUGHLY enjoyed the Cote de Boeuf! There was enough on the plate to share, but my wife cannot eat red meat (lucky me, right?!?). The creamed potatoes was light and fluffy, but had enough texture that it wasn't biting into a cloud. Deanna's dish was super yum, but she didnt let me have more than one bite. Poisson a la Florentine was drum tonight, and we finished dinner with the rice pudding. The service was top notch and very attentive to our needs. The GM stopped by a few times to make sure we were happy, and the owner stoped by to thank us personally before we headed back to our hotel. The price was in line with our expectations and would definitely recomend returning for an upscale date night. Reservations are a must, as this is a small venue, but so well worth the visit!

Dined during Tales. Fabiana, Stefanie took care of me as I ate most of the menu, by myself, had 6 cocktails (complimentary due to the event in bar area), a glass of Champagne which they were kind enough to provide despite not offering wine during the event, and dessert. The food is unique and delicious - flavors I haven't had in decades, unique combinations, fun and adventurous items. This is a special treat, a fun night out, perfect for a date night or a celebration..smaller group is better. If you have picky eaters in the group maybe not ideal, but if you like to try new things and delight your palate with unexpected flavors, this is the perfect place.

PLEASE GET RID OF THAT SINGLE TABLE IN THE ALLEYWAY. We arrived at the restaurant at around 6pm on a Monday and were told that the only thing available would be a table on the sidewalk, and service would be provided to us through a door from the bar. We took it. What we weren’t told, however, is that it was literally the only table out in that alleyway, steps away from the restaurant’s garbage area. Although the door connects to the bar, it stayed shut most of the time when someone was not taking the order or bringing the dishes, which kept us completely out on our own. When it got dark, it was dim and eerie with no one else around, except some turtle-bean-sized flies attacking the food. And if you are lucky like us, you might also get a homeless person yelling “Everyone having a good time?”, approaching you for food and money. At one point, a restaurant staff ran past us to throw away trash, nervously, as if they didn’t want to stay out for a second longer. Even though we enjoyed the food and would very much like a second round of drinks, we felt too uneasy to stay and really didn’t want to push our luck. Outdoor dining usually means access to fresh air and a view of lively streets for us, but in this case only anxiety (and we’re travelling from NYC). Had anything happened to us, I don’t think the restaurant would be able to act on it. So let me repeat this: PLEASE GET RID OF THAT SINGLE TABLE IN THE ALLEYWAY, for the safety and wellbeing of your guests, even if it means you have to turn them away. Speaking as a diner, I would rather walk out in disappointment than be seated there.

Wow! Just wow! I must say that I have not enjoyed a meal or dining experience this much in years! The attention to detail, the service, the knowledge of the staff, the teamwork, the food, the cocktails, the atmosphere. All were impeccable. Each course that I ordered out did the previous one. Heirloom tomatoes and Wagyu tongue stole the show, but the asparagus was phenomenal and the Eccles for dessert was paired so well with some Stilton! Thank you for such a great and unique experience. Kudos the chef and staff!

The food at Jewel of the South was absolutely amazing! Every dish was packed with flavor, and the cocktails were next-level good. The service was just as great, super friendly and attentive without being over the top. You can really tell they care about what they do. The only thing that kept it from being a full 5 stars was that the inside area felt a little tight and got pretty loud, which made it hard to chat at times. Still, the energy was fun and lively, and I’d definitely come back. Totally worth it!

Best drink spot we tried in NOLA! The drinks are very unique—we tried four and loved them all. Our server, Stephanie, was knowledgeable and gave great recommendations. We sat outside, and it was nice and quiet —perfect for enjoying the experience. I would definitely go back if I’m in NOLA again!

A super dope & unique take on food and drinks at this James beard award winning restaurant. The drinks were great, the staff was amazing and the food was AWESOME! The items that called to us were the tripe & the lengua and the were both phenomenal. Would definitely come back again next time we’re in NOLA.

This place never disappoints. We come every time we are in NOLA. The dishes are fantastic, and the staff is great. Highly recommend the lamb neck. (it is a generous portion). The chicken thigh dish is amazing!! Must try!

We had a fabulous anniversary dinner at Toups Meatry. The quality of the food was outstanding! Chef Isaac Toups and his staff we so welcoming. My husband and I would highly recommend this restaurant and we look forward to coming back.

Started with the marinated crab claws and Irish coffees which were amazing! Different take with the marinated crab claws, not the typical butter spice. Very savory and pickled marinade. Awesome. Venison with fried eggs and biscuits/gravy and fried catfish served over perfect collard greens with two poached eggs cover with a tiny sauce that complimented the collard greens and fish perfectly! Don't skip this laid back, delicious eatery!

Delicious food! We got takeout and omg! The Cuban sandwich was amazing - soft bread, flavorful meat, 10/10! The fried fish sandwich was perfectly fried with delicious tartar sauce. Pickle plate was so unique and a bit spicy. Particularly loved the green beans, onions, and beets. Finally, the broccoli Caesar was phenomenal. Some of the best dressing ever. Would go back for sure!

CUCUMBER SALAD: This was tasty. It definitely had those pickle-sour flavors, and it was vinegary, too. I love the sesame seeds on top. I feel they would be best thin-sliced and soaked overnight for that softness. CRACKLING’S: 1-inch-cut pork belly cracklins fried with thunder-dust seasoning, Busssn! Pork lovers must have these! They were crispy, with that succulent fatty edge. They were not salty, but they were like large cracklin chips. COUVILLION: This stew dish included a fish filet, shrimp, and crawfish in a brick roux, along with a side of crab-fat rice. The Cajun and Creole met in the middle of my tongue and danced to Jazz. PORK CHOP: This double-cut monster was one of the best chops ever. It was the size of a baby's head! Large yet so juicy and tender—so much so that as I went to slice this tenderloin, the juices squirted onto my shirt, lol. It paired well with the dirty rice. I don't know which blessed chef made the chop, but shout out to them: pork is a succulent meat that must be made well in this size to be fully cooked while saving the flavors of the piggy. SERVICE: I called on Friday night and spoke with Molly. She was able to make reservations for me that evening; she was very kind and very friendly. My server, Sean, was tentative, very explainable, and knowledgeable about their dishes. Toups will be my go-to while in NOLA. This spot provided the cuisine styles and flavors that I was looking for

When I say this was a true culinary experience for the tastebuds, I absolutely mean it. The cheeses on the cheese board were absolutely delicious and a wonderful display of different milks and aging processes. The meat board… oh my, the meat board. From exquisite handmade sausages, crispy fried pork belly bites, beautifully blended head cheese, velvety smooth chicken liver pâté, an assortment of pickled vegetables, and the boudin ball! Best selection I’ve ever had. My shrimp and grits entree was also bursting full of flavor with heirloom tomatoes, shrimp with the head on and a gorgeous dark roux that was perfection. And to top it all off, the most rich, moist, delectable coconut cake with caramel sauce tied in the whole meal to a 10/10. Our server, Maggie, was so knowledgeable and prompt with our service and made us feel so welcome and at home. The food, Maggie, and the atmosphere will make Toup’s a place I will never forget! We are already excited about our next trip to New Orleans to have this experience once again!

OMG! Amazing! I ordered the pork chop & my date ordered the steak. Best pork chop that I’ve ever had. The steak was perfect. One of our tour guides recommended Toups (thanks DJ) and I’m thankful that he did. Hadley was our server and she was amazing as well. Don’t take my word for it , experience it yourself!!!

One of my local friends recommend this place, and I'm so glad they did. The food was amazing, came out quickly, and cooked to perfection. The staff was also super friendly. Definitely will be stopping by next time I'm in town.

We had breakfast everyday here during our recent trip in New Orleans. That tells you how much we loved this place. Great food, superb service, reasonable prices and good vibe. It’s always a bit tricky for vegetarians to find food in the Southern states, but there are a couple of options at this restaurant. They could also do gluten-free buns!

My my my, best chicken and waffles ever. Best fried chicken of my life and them grits.. normally I put salt, pepper and butter on my grits. Don't mess with these grits y'all, they're perfect the way they get dropped on your table. This is your perfect little hole in the wall restaurant that has the most delicious food.

The place had a nice vibe and the food overall was okay, but we personally didn’t enjoy the waffle and pancake — they had a weird sour taste that wasn’t for us. Everything else was fine, just not quite what we expected from brunch classics.

Great place to get breakfast or brunch in New Orleans. I got the pancake puffs with lemon. I feel like it’s more of a sharing plate, but it’s one of the items on the menu that popped out to me. The lemon sauce was pretty good, I think I prefer beignets over pancake puffs but again it was too cute not to order. I’ll definitely come back and order their savory dishes though.

as malls around the country are dying, lakeside manages to be a bustling hotspot for the people here of the new orleans region. it definitely does not lack company. i come here often just to feel something that i have not felt much of since the 90s however, it comes with its limits. its smaller compared to other malls around the country that bring in similar revenue. which sure, is very admirable on lakeside's end. but as customers we are held back. their rising lack of affordable stores and limited size really holds this mall back from its true potential. its lacking a third space factor that this country needs more of. there isn't much to do besides strictly shop and eat while other malls are expanding their experiences to outlets such as theaters and arcades. its already missing hallmark stores like H&M and Old Navy. the foodcourt is mostly just generic chains. and you can probably shop the entire mall in just one visit.

I absolutely love Lakeside Mall. The food hall has great options, everyone is friendly, great to shop or just walk around and get your steps in. Skip the French quarter and get your beignet fix here at Cafe de Monde. I tried Smash burgers 🍔 yesterday , left 😋!

Boo! A makeup store in a prominent mall that closes at 7:00 p.m. is bad for business! I could see opening up late but what about those of us that work. I got here at 7:05 could not conduct business. I drove in from over an hour away because this was the closest store. Nuts! Not a fan! Ulta is my new makeup store. Said to say they're open the hours that I need them to be.

A male employee in the food court went above and beyond for us today and I wanted him to be recognized, if ya'll had an about our staff on your website with pictures it would be easier to recognize your employees for outstanding service. This employee made us feel seen and special which was unexpected.

Its a very interesting museum, but small. I paid $10 for the visit, it’s kinda fair, it’s a really different place. If you are a tourist, worth to go. But don’t expect too much things. The store is more commercial than handmade things.

“Ten Bucks to Meet the Loa? Bargain of the Afterlife.” If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to be lovingly hexed by history, gently spooked by folklore, and spiritually side-eyed by a papier-mâché Baron Samedi, then friend, fork over your $10 and step into the spellbound shoebox that is the New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum. This place is small. Like, “blink and you’re communing with Marie Laveau’s ghost in the broom closet” small. But what it lacks in square footage, it makes up for in soul, layered, dusty, and delightfully unbothered by modern museum polish. It’s part shrine, part fever dream, part grandma’s attic if grandma practiced hoodoo and collected cursed dolls. The exhibits? A glorious jumble of altars, gris-gris bags, chicken feet, and cryptic notes that may or may not be binding contracts with the spirit world. I tried to read one and accidentally promised my firstborn to a swamp deity named Earl. Worth it. The vibe? Equal parts reverent and kitsch. You’ll learn about the real roots of Voodoo—its West African origins, its syncretic evolution, its misunderstood magic—and you’ll do it while standing next to a mannequin that looks like it moonlights as a jazz saxophonist in the French Quarter. Staff? Chill. Like, “we know the spirits are watching, but we’re not gonna make a big deal about it” chill. They’ll answer your questions, point you toward the altar, and let you linger in the incense haze until you feel mildly possessed or deeply enlightened. Or both. Final verdict: For the price of a sad airport sandwich, you get a portal into a world where mystery reigns, history hums, and every corner whispers, “You’re not in Kansas anymore, cher.” A must-visit for anyone who likes their museums with a side of mojo and a dash of delightful disarray.

So incredibly interesting and educational- fun place to stop by for site seeing. Very small inside overall so if it's busy you end up bumping to people trying to read or look at items, gift shop is great! Would love to have had more education on what the money means. Great and friendly staff. This museum did provide me with an expanded cultural perspective and appreciation of voodoo as opposed to the propaganda of the mainstream media portrayal

We ducked inside to get out of the rain and at first glance thought it was just a trinket shop. However, it's actually a really intricate and educational museum explaining the history of voodoo. It's worth the cover charge if you're interested.

I don’t think people empathize enough how small this place is. It’s SO interesting but it’s really just 2-3 rooms. When we went it wasn’t really packed thankfully but this probably wouldn’t be enjoyable with big groups.

A must visit! The cocktails are made by proper bartenders who know what they are doing. Ours were fantastic. The rotating bar is fantastic, and the bar sits inside a beautiful hotel, which is also worth a look.

Great stop. We were on a tour and this was recommended. So glad we did. We waited about 15 minutes. Got a couple of seats to sit and do a few "rounds". Yes the bar actually rotates while you are sitting there. Bartenders were great. Everyone there was nice. Definitely stop in to check it out.

This was a cool spot!!! I timed it perfectly!!! I got there about 20 minutes prior to it opening. And there was already a line. The thing filled up quickly once they let everyone in!!! Had i shown up another 2 or 3 minutes later, there wouldve been no places to sit at the bar. Note*** I left around 1:30pm. And there were some empty seats at the bar. So maybe show up after the first little rush?

We only had cocktails. I had the French 007 ...it was delicious. Great atmosphere and good band playing. It's a novelty trip place. I recommend.

Wonderful urban park situated at the back end of the garden district, yet feels rather remote and distant from the roar of traffic and city life. This park was lovely, and had a very relaxing feel to it, unlike city park which felt more like a location one goes for activities such as golf, football practice or disc golf. The path was very nice, wide enough for pedestrians, dogs and cyclists alike, and runs parallel to a lovely stream. Forget your woes and come down and enjoy this lovely little breath of scenery.

Large, beautiful park. Convenient for locals and worth the drive for west-bankers.

What a beautiful park! Well-manacured, serene trails, delightful fountain. I spent more time here than I thought I would. The park is directly across from Loyola and Tulane, yet many families with young children were enjoying themselves. There were several walkers, bikers and joggers but the park wasn't crowded or noisy. Just a great stop off the St Charles streetcar line!

Nice environment, loved the bike trail and playgrounds. The random tree swings are also a nice touch. Restrooms are decent.

Totally disappointed 😞 😒 On our last day in New Orleans we had purchased a pass to the Zoo and aquarium On our Last Day in New Orleans arrive at 10 am Tuesday morning to Find out the Zoo is Closed Tickets for the Zoo were purchased on Zoo website for package deals on Monday night ..Totally disappointed and having to wait until Thursday to try to get money back for Tickets that should not been sad and sketchy at the same time...The young security guard working that day young African American man deserves a raise 4sure he was awesome!!! Zoo on the other needs to not sell tickets for days that you are closed border line Tom Foolery and Shenanigans!!!! Totally disappointed In Cincinnati.....

I love Creole food, love, love, love. However, I don’t love Galatoire’s. The food, looks the part, but doesn’t taste it. To start, you make reservations by credit card, so if you don’t show, they charge you. That’s fair, I guess. But we arrived, were promptly seated, and waited over 10 minutes before we even got our menus. It’s important to note that GW Fins is right around the corner, and we would have just left and gone there, which I wish we had. They finally brought us bread and water, so it was too late to politely leave. The bread was simply not good; it was soft but lacked flavor. Willing to give the restaurant a fair shake, I ordered quite a bit from the menu. I got an appetizer sampler of shrimp, crawfish, fried bacon oysters, and crab, all nasty. I ordered Oysters Rockefeller; they looked really gross and tasted even worse. I tried the seafood gumbo and the duck gumbo, both tasting off, with the gumbo filé overpowering in a burnt flavor and a hint of tomato, which was really odd. You can see the pics, we didn’t eat much. I ordered shrimp étouffée; at least the shrimp were cooked properly, but the sauce was just gross. I ordered the filet mignon, requested medium, but it came rare, it was at least edible. Ordered cheesy potatoes au gratin to accompany it; they were not great. For drinks, I ordered a vodka soda water, but they used ginger ale instead of soda water. To top it all off, I got the black pecan cake with vanilla ice cream. The ice cream was two tiny dabs that looked like a garnish on the cake, but the cake itself was actually quite nice, though a bit overpowering. The highlight of the night was our waitress, Britney. She was incredible. Believe it or not, I didn’t complain once about any dish, paid for everything, smiled, and said all was fine. She questioned why we didn’t eat much, but I didn’t have the heart to make her feel bad, it wasn’t her fault, and she did a great job. The food, however, isn’t worth trying. I swear, the dishes were so bad they must’ve been cooked by the ghosts of New Orleans’ worst chefs haunting the kitchen! It gets a lot of good reviews, which either tells me I came on a bad night or people have no idea what good Creole is. I assure you, Galatoire’s isn’t it. There are many great spots in New Orleans. I recommend trying others before coming here.

I did not want to eat here as they have a dress code, but my spouse wanted to. It's NOLA. It's muggy. It's outrageously muggy. Jackets are required at dinner but lunch was more casual requiring just long pants and a collared shirt, so that's what we did. For the record, loaner jackets are available. ATMOSPHERE: The dining room is very plain, not warm or elegant especially with the tacky wall mirror that encircles the entire room. For a place that has a dress code, I was expecting more. It was fairly empty at lunch sans for a large party that made as much noise as if the restaurant was fully packed. MENU: Higher end apps, soup, salads, omelettes, poultry, shellfish, fish, meats, desserts. FOOD: Garlic Bread In addition to melted butter, fresh garlic was visible on each slice. I didn't have any due to its offensiveness and didn't want to get full on a filler. Oysters en Brochette This appetizer was my favorite selection of the entire lunch. The oysters were delicately fried with an airy batter and drizzled with a butter sauce and bacon bits. Simply delish. Soufflé Potatoes How in the world did they make these?! They're like large steak fries that are hollowed out, leaving just the exterior skin and batter. As you cut them they deflate like a jumping castle being taken down, lol. A decadent béarnaise sauce accompanied. Turtle Soup au Sherry This is one dish I had to try while in NOLA and I was happy they offered it. It was tomato-based like a minestrone and tasted like it too, with minced turtle meat that was similar in texture to abalone. You wouldn't even know you're eating turtle. Shrimp Marguery I had a hard time deciding which shellfish dish to order and chose this, unfortunately, by reading others' reviews. I imagined plump, seared shrimp bathed in smooth, creamy sauces. What I received were six shrimp drowning in a pool of hollandaise and béchamel sauces in a small baking dish that was broiled. The result was an Exxon-like oil spill, with the sauces separating from their binders that left a clumpy mess. To add insult to injury, the shrimp weren't seared at all, pretty much just boiled in the oils. Filet Mignon My spouse's visually unappealing dish. For an additional cost came a ramekin of hollandaise sauce. That's all that was on the plate - the steak sprinkled with parsley and the cup of hollandaise. While less is usually more, it looked like it was plated by a child. Looks aside, the filet's temperature was served pretty raw and not even close to rare. Sad. Potatoes au Gratin Besides fingerling potatoes, au gratin is my second least favorite preparation style, but I really like it here due to its moisture and cheesiness. SERVICE: Female server took great care of us. She was very friendly, pleasant and professional. Thank you! OVERALL: Some people love this type of dining but not me. Enjoyable apps, great service. Not a return for us due to the lackluster entrees.

Went to the infamous fried chicken brunch. Arrived on time. Was seated quickly. Then sat there. A random server gave us water. Food was just placed on our table with no explanation of acknowledgment. Bare minimum for 2 people. Still no one came to check on us. I had to ask someone passing for a soda. I had to ask a busboy for our check. When he asked how was it I told him horrible. He asked to give it another try. I’m not wasting over $160 again for 2 people. NEVER. My money spends just like everybody else. And a sweet potato pie doesn’t make everything all good.

I came here expecting a true New Orleans classic, and while the food itself was solid, the service left a lot to be desired. We were seated at 7:00, and by 9:00 we had only been served one round of drinks. Dinner was nowhere in sight, and there wasn’t much urgency from the staff to check in or move things along. For a restaurant with this reputation and price point, the pacing was disappointing and really took away from the experience. Once the food did arrive, it was good — traditional flavors, well-prepared, and worth the wait from a culinary standpoint. Unfortunately, the painfully slow service overshadowed what could have been a memorable meal. If you’re planning a visit, expect good food but be prepared to spend the entire evening waiting for it.

What a day! We spent the week in the Quarter and by far this was the best event of the trip!!! Galatoire's Friday Lunch is a must do experience! This was the one place my father in-law said "we must do", so not going wasn't an option. Just getting a reservation in and of it's self was a task because it's so iconic. My wife called months in advance to try and book, but due to the Halloween festivities it was almost impossible. A huge THANK YOU to Caroline Oliver. She was so nice, communicative, and accommodating working with us. We arrived early for our 11:30am reservations, but not to worry because their bar was already open. We passed through the dinning room as the service staff was in a lineup getting prepared for the day's service. Even though it was all business one server acknowledge us and made us feel immediately welcomed. We enjoyed cocktails at the bar which we thought would be dead, but it was alive and well. We knew that this was going to be an extra special experience based on the elaborate costumes people were wearing for Halloween. We were promptly seated and the ambience was already at a rolling bubble, ready to boil. As fate would have it the same server who greeted us in the staff lineup was also our server to the day, and I'm so thankful she was! Candace Dickey or "Ace" absolutely made our experience! She immediately made us feel at home and took control of our dinning cadence, allowing us relax and enjoy our day. She was maestro to our bacchanalia. The food was spot on: hot, fresh, classic, and full of the flavor's of New Orleans that stay with you a lifetime. The entire staff was on point all around, it felt like we were at a party not a restaurant. We even got to compliment the chef! A second line band even came through and sent the whole dinning room into a festive frenzy! This was a dinning experience I will never forget. In my 15+ years of restaurant management from Tampa, to L.A., and Atlanta; the service and dinning experience from start to finish is what excellence is all about. Thank you to the manager who greeted us as we left and to all the staff that made our trip one of the greats!

Amazing food, cocktails and service. The ambiance is nice too. The front dining room is a little bit stuffy and you are required to have a jacket if you're a man. This is like old school fine dining. The back dining room is perfect for families or us heathens that didn't bring fancy clothes. All the food is well cooked, presented beautifully and beyond tasty. The drinks are well mixed and balanced. I definitely recommend making a trip here.

A Nola tradition I have wanted to try for years. Attended a family event in the private dining room on the 2nd floor, which is a beautiful room with direct access out to a balcony looking over Bourbon Street (see photo for the view from balcony). The main restaurant was totally full. Food was good. Turtle soup good - not particularly memorable. Almondine fish good. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the service was excellent. Glad I was able to finally eat here. Probably still a NOLA or GW Finns kind of eater, but this is a classic. (The main dining room was very loud but everyone was having a great time!)

Small counter-service shop with inventive and unusual poboy and other sandwich options. Fast service and delicious food. We had the sweet potato poboy with collard greens and pecan/black-eye pea spread. Great idea and flavors but the collard greens overwhelmed everything else. We also had the seared shrimp poboy which was excellent in every way: crispy shrimp (and lots of them), crunchy cucumbers and carrots - a great mix of hot and cold, and different textures. Very chill place, but a bit grimy and gritty - but that’s kind of New Orleans, so not a surprise. We’ll be back to try the pork belly and the cauliflower poboys.

The Beef Debris is best poboy I've ever had. The flavor of this sandwich was like nothing I've ever had before. The seasoning of the beef along with the pickled green beans and banana peppers were out of this world. Definitely recommend!

Yeah the only thing this place killed was my wallet. Way over priced for really bad food. We tried the pork belly, which I liked bf didn’t, and the shrimp which was the worst thing that I’ve put in my mouth in New Orleans. Bf ate the shrimp off of it but not the over vinegared carrot mess of a sandwich. Should have asked locals where to go for a good poboy cause they agreed with us.

Holy cow was this good. The shrimp po boy had so many flavors. Picked carrots. Cilantro! Cooked amazing. And the smothered greens!? Great flavors and wish I woulda come back here instead of trying a po boy somewhere else. Y'all set the bar with this! Thank you!

We had the beed debris and the pork belly. Beef debris is just a tad spicy and the pork belly is a bit sweet but it was my favorite.

You wouldn’t expect this very non-assuming shop to have such incredible PoBoys!! The vegan tofu poboy was the best vegan I had in NOLA! Highly recommend.

Meh. Was hoping to find a great French Patisserie in the French Quarter. Instead we found this place. It was mostly just good, not bad and definitely not great. Easy walk from the French Market and Jackson Square. Tried a half dozen or so of the pastries as well as the Spinach Quiche. The quiche was pretty good, and a nice flaky crust. Good flavor but the microwaving to heat it up gave it a slightly rubbery texture. The laminated pastries though, ugh. VERY bready! Whoever was handling their lamination definitely needs to go somewhere and learn proper lamination. Anything with laminated dough was all the same, bad to mediocre. You can see from the pictures that the Croissants look like something you get from a can made by Pillsbury. The Apple filled croissant tasted like the filling was straight from a can. They had some really cute pastries and cakes they call "animals" that we didn't try. The star of the show was the Tarte au Citron (Lemon Tart). The tart shell was good a flaky. The lemon filling was excellent. The meringue was tasty and piped well. Just a little over torched which gave it a slightly bitter taste. Overall a very good lemon tart and I would order it again. The atmosphere was wonderful and they had a fantastic courtyard. Most of the service was very good. The biggest complaint, and reason for only 2 stars on service was the lady at the register. Didn't greet us and seemed bored and could care less. Did not help with recommendations and was uninterested in answering any questions. Sorry to be a bother ma'am. We'll just go elsewhere next time. Would I recommend? Hmmm. If you are going for croissants or laminated pastry or the highest quality of pastry, no, I would not recommend. If you are looking for a place close to the French Quarter and nice atmosphere but food quality and service don't matter then yes, I would recommend.

The baked goods we got were delicious!!! The vibes of the shop were adorable and we had a lovely time sitting and eating breakfast!! It was VERY busy, but the employees were nice, helpful, and VERY efficient. We did not have to wait too long.

My brioche French toast with bacon and a cappuccino was delightful. My daughter had the pate on a croissant and said hers was really good too. We split a French pastry for dessert before our food came because we were so hungry, and oh my goodness, it was so good. Now I want to go back with my sister! We ate on the hidden courtyard,so relaxing. Loved it!

I was recommended this place from my high school French teacher and needless to say it definitely did not disappoint. The atmosphere is just what I envisioned a little patisserie in France to be like. They have a nice little menu for breakfast/brunch as well as PLENTY of pastries from their cases. I got a croque Madame, a fruit tart, and a mocha and loved every bit of everything. My dad got a ham, egg, and cheese croissant and he enjoyed that as well. I can’t wait to go back next time I’m in New Orleans!

Food was great. Service was FANTASTIC! Super great, friendly and efficient staff. They had orders coming out pretty quickly and were doing so with smiles on their faces. Will definitely be coming back next time I’m in town.

Grabbed several slices of cake for my daughter's birthday. Did not disappoint! The tirismu cake - chefs kiss! We went the next day for breakfast. A very tasty menu and they offer daily specials. A quaint French atmosphere with amazing decor.

This bakery is adorable and the food is delicious. There's a courtyard with a fountain as well. I highly recommend the raspberry croissant and cherry Danish. It's a lovely place to start your day.

I picked up some Beigel’s challah which was very stale and dry Trader Joe has a much better choice. Shoppers should also check the dates on the packages because sometimes his products are still on the shelf after the “use by” date And there are no returns—

We traveled to NOLA for a work conference. They provided our breakfast and we also came to eat at the restaurant for dinner. All of their food was fresh and delicious. Staff members were super friendly. Would definitely eat here again if I ever come to New Orleans.

I’ve had this one on my to do list for a while. Recently saw a tik tok highlighting the restaurant and made a decision to get over here finally. Had a ruben, but asked for corned beef and pastrami. It was delicious. I also tried the mini egg rolls which were spot on. The staff is very friendly. Next time I need to leave some time to browse the store and pick up some grocery items. Not enough time this trip as I needed to get to the airport. Overall great experience.

Great resource for the kosher community. Deli and grocery wrapped up in one. Proprieter is super friendly and helpful. Prices are decent. Food is quite good. Highly recommended.

I’ve been wanting to come here for a while and today we finally were able to! We live an hour away and it was worth the drive. I’ve been wanting to find a store with Israeli snacks and food and this is it! We got lunch and it was DELICIOUS! The cashier was so nice and helpful. We got matzoh soup, Rueben sandwiches, and fresh halva. Plus lots of snacks! They have lots of judaica gift/ book items too. I definitely recommend stopping.

Amazing Kosher deli with traditional and Cajun offerings! It was great to be able to eat some traditional Cajun foods I’ve never been able to find without pork. I recommend the Red Beans and Rice and the Jambalaya. The grocery section is filled with Kosher and Israeli snack options.

Incredible kosher food, burgers were delicious and better than any burger I’ve ever eaten in New York. The store has cool history on the walls and all these sports memorabilia, the owner Joel is very nice! I got chicken nuggets and they were so good and the burgers were super juicy. They sell a lot of kosher food in the supermarket section of the shop which is great for if u ever find yourself in Metairie. Prices are reasonable too. It’s a cool shop would definitely recommend u can spend all day in there

We love being members here. It’s got something for everyone and perfectly located in the city so you feel like you in a totally different place. We enjoyed the shaded areas during a hot summer day. The food wasn’t bad either when we took a short break while it sprinkled. One of the coolest places was an area for the kids to play and cool off in the heat. My twins didn’t want to leave until I told them we were heading to see the gators. They have a beautiful collection of animals and it was really clean everywhere we went.

What an amazing zoo! Spent 4.5 hours and wish I had more time to spend. The animals looked well cared for and there is a large diversity of animals. Feeding the giraffes lettuce was 10 seconds of fun for $5. Only downside is that the park map doesnt fully match the pathways available to walk - several people including myself were "lost" a few times.

Such a great zoo!! I spent about 2 hours here & had a great time. Very clean. Helpful & educated staff. Animals look like they are being taken care of very well. I try to visit a zoo everywhere I travel now & this was one of the best. I purchased my tickets in advance just in case there was going to be any long lines because I went on Halloween. I got there when it opened & didn’t have to wait in line at all.

What a wonderful experience! I was a little sad that they did not have reciprocal pricing for AZA accredited zoos, since we are a part of our local AZA accredited zoo. But the money you pay is definitely worth what you get to see. Inside the park was a little pool area (that costs extra) where you and the kiddos can hang out on a hot day. Unfortunately, that was not something out group knew about so we didn't wear water appropriate clothing - although it would have helped because oh my gosh, was it hot when we went there. They have the zoo divided up into areas, and some of my favorite things to see was the ocelot, tapirs and the maned wolf (so which I was so thrilled!). They also have a cute little area dedicated specifically to the bayou and had a store where you could somewhat get out of the heat and cool down. It can take about two to three hours to cover the whole entire zoo, which is a lot of walking but - like I said entirely worth it. I went to the aquarium a few years back, and this definitely out did the aquarium! So if you're only able to do one - the zoo wins out!

We went recently to the boo at the zoo. Not being our first time to the zoo but the BATZ event, both are great! We love the zoo in the first place, 2 visits and the membership pays for itself. Theres always things to see there and its got plenty of quiet spots to take a break and eat picnic lunch. The BATZ event had enough new things to spend the whole day!

went to the zoo today for a feild trip, the animals are bored , no enrichment AT ALL. The habitats arent even habitable, they have dirty water , no toys to play with , half of the enclosures werent able to see , half of the animals werent out which is understandable bc it was hot but still people put so much money into to this zoo but they arent doing anything to make it habitable for the animals for even fun im truly disappointed by how things looked , i couldnt be happy bc of how depressed and bored these animals looked. I was looking at one animal and then in the far back i seen another that looks locked up pacing back n forth , i came back at least 20 min later and it was STILL doing the same thing One of the female loins were pacing back n forth for a minute aslo. Even the reptiles have enclosures that are so small for them , some snakes cant even climb which maybe im just thinking wrong but snakes need good enclosures also (they werent horrible just small in my opinion) the monkeys have nothing to play with they expect a hog looking animal to play with a freaking tire swing? literally had nothing playful in that enclosure And yeah maybe some animals are “playfull” but they still need ENRICHMENT I am truly disappointed with Audubon Zoo

This zoo is beautiful. So many things to see and do. Highly recommend. Staff is knowledgeable about the animals and were eager to help.

Classic and famous New Orleans restaurant that has been around for 50 years. Definitely make a reservation because they are super busy. Dined on a Saturday night and it was packed. Lots of traditional Cajun/New Orleans style items on the menu such as gumbo and turtle soup. I had for apps the soup trio - so you can try the turtle soup, gumbo and soup of the day. Also the stuffed Shrimp, which was stuff with ham. Super good. I actually enjoyed the turtle soup the most! For entrees it was pecan crusted fish, super good! Dessert we all did the tradition Souflee which they hand topped with the sauce. All excellent items. Our service was awesome, super attentive and friendly. At the end of the meal you can walk down through the kitchen and out past a bar, which we did a shot of Fernet to end the night! Cheers!

November 2025: we did a lot of research which restaurants to visit during our visit to New Orleans, my expectations were very high. Perhaps for that reason I was slightly disappointed. The start was fantastic. I like the option of having three small cups of their soups. Each one was excellent. I loved the turtle soup, gumbo was excellent and the cauliflower crab bisque came a close third. The arugula salad with apple shaving was refreshing with nice blend of flavors. However, the main entree were a disappointment. We switched in the middle comping that the flavors might be more pleasing for each, but that did not work for either one of us. Our choices were pork and quale. Our waitress was in training, and could not answer any questions and always had to call another waitress, who was terrific. Perhaps they should do training in pairs, so it is less frustrating to the diners.

Commanders pork chop was simply the best ever. The bread pudding souffle is a must. Remember to order it at the beginning of your meal. The chicken gumbo was very savory, but the turtle soup had too much of an alcohol aftertaste even without the sherry. While every server was friendly and attentive the "group care " concept didn't work for us. We had our drinks before our menu's. Everyone is whipping around and you kind of feel like the eye of a storm. It's a football team without a quarterback. Saying all that, the food was amazing and I would try it again. Oh, and the garlic bread are slices of heaven.

Excellent service! Everyone is served at the same time! No matter party size! That is serving excellence! Turle soup is a must and loved the pumpkin curry as well. Fish and quail were so well prepared. And perfect portions. Can't wait to go back!

A long-standing tradition, Commander’s Palace is truly beautiful and feels like what you want New Orleans to be. While I did see comments about becoming too touristy and spotty service issues, we experienced none of the issues and all of the charm. I was in town visiting my local NOLA work crew and client and wanted to take everyone out for a special meal (we were celebrating a birthday, anniversary, successful presentation, and a brand new member of the team, as well as the last time I’m likely to see them this year). The space is beautiful. Cozy, charming, soft, and genteel, all with that creole flair. The food was divine. It took our entire table way too long to decide what to order because everything sounded too perfect. We got the gumbo (no okra, with chicken for inquiring minds), the turtle soup, the scallops, the pecan crusted fish with prosecco poached crab, the carrot cake cobbler, and of course the bread pudding. I’m going to dream about the bread pudding yall. For the celebration aspect, they put out balloons for the birthday girl and every single person who was working the floor made sure to stop by and wish her well. She almost murdered me. It was glorious. Please dress nicely and order something delicious (I can’t imagine how you’d go wrong). It’s an experience and an institution for a well-earned and deserved reason.

Our first visit was amazing! Wonda our server was the upmost professional and gave wonderful recommendations! Travis our martini server was a delight and added that extra touch that put a smile on everyone's face! We've only talked about the fabulous food and service to all! We'll be back!

The best!!! Excellent from the time you walk in the door. Service is incredible far exceeded expectations. Food was absolutely amazing! And the martinis... wow!!! All in such a beautiful atmosphere with various dining rooms with great attention to details. This is a MUST when visiting New Orleans!

Mardi Gras World was an ok experience. My family and I had the opportunity to see floats and props that had been previously used, as well as see workers creating new floats. This museum is a bit out of the way if you are staying in the French Quarter area or surrounding areas. Not sure if it is worth paying an uber ride. I also read (somewhere😳) that parking was $20. We purchased the tickets via Groupon, so at least we did not spend much.

This was amazing! We learned more than we imagined. Could not believe everything that goes into making these huge floats. Free shuttle pick ups are great help! Thank you for the slice of king cake also! Really enjoyed the tour!

This was an interesting stop — it’s cool to see the hangars where the Mardi Gras floats are built and get a peek behind the scenes. The guide was really knowledgeable and shared some fun history and stories about the floats they’ve made for different events. That said, I felt the price was a bit high for what you get. The tour is mostly walking around and looking at the floats — not a lot of hands-on activities or interactive displays. It might be more exciting for kids, but adults might expect a bit more. Also, the walk from the parking lot was pretty hot since it’s a bit of a distance. Overall, worth checking out once for the experience, but I wish there was a little more to do inside.

Mardi Gras magic in the making! Loved getting a behind-the-scenes look at the float-building process—so much color and creativity. Our tour guide was fantastic: engaging, knowledgeable, and fun. It’s a great stop for families or anyone curious about New Orleans culture. Just a heads-up: the warehouse isn’t air-conditioned, so plan for a cooler day to stay comfortable.

A really cool experience! I loved being able to see all the previous props and of course, the free slice of king cake! Calling to get a ride from the free shuttle sucks... But getting a ride after the tour was easy.

Such a fun and unique history to the New Orleans area! We really enjoyed the tour, the video about Mardi Gras, and seeing the props and floats! Our tour guide did a great job answering questions to the best of her ability and sharing much about the warehouse!

The colors in this place are fascinating and you learn how to how they make the floats. The only problem is there's no handicap parking and I am handicap at the moment and had to walk two blocks and that was awful.
