I can't recommend it highly enough I had such an amazing time. I saw so many animals, birds and insects: some really close. My personal guide, Claudio, was amazing, he could see and hear wildlife that I had no idea were there. We'd be quietly canoeing and he'd point at a branch and say - 'There's a sloth' or name a bird species, and, after a while of staring, I'd eventually see what he could see. Or he'd hear a distant sound, which I could hardly hear, and say 'Monkeys!'. And, from the slight noise, he'd say what species they were and we'd quickly paddle to try and catch a sighting of them, often successfully! His knowledge of the area and ecology was so deep, and his stories were fascinating. He grew up in a nearby village so was in harmony with the forest. To be fair to the other staff they all had a deep knowledge of the forest and many of them were from nearby villages. This really gave an extra special feel to the whole trip. There’s so much to do — from jungle hikes to canoeing through the stunning black-water rivers, which are absolutely perfect for photography.
