Very beautiful measum as it is also known as the Tripura State Museum. Very nice and well maintained and decorated place for photography and videography. You can take various photos over there outside only because inside the measuem photography is strictly prohibited. From 10.15 am in the morning it is open for all the visitors and 5 pm is the general closing time. Please try to visit in late afternoon. It is a very beautiful two floor measaum consisting of various tribes, festivals, tourist places, royal history of not only Tripura but also the whole North East India. I went there with my family. My 18month old daughter was trying to play in the trampoline. Few miscreants came and said they wanted to try the trampoline because they were playing truth and dare. They were 16 to 18yrs. old. I told them this is a children's spot and they should know better. But they intruded on our child's play. So not wishing to escalate the situation we left the park and while leaving we complained to the security . The security women were completely nonchalant although I told them what happened clearly. They kept chewing paan and never even bothered to check out the truth. The park management has no control over the ill activities happening there. It is sad a park named after chacha Nehru has become a spot for adult lovemaking.

During the time of Mahabharata, Trilochana, a contemporary of Yudhisthira, was the king of Tripura who used to worship these Fourteen Gods as Royal deities. Animal sacrifices offered by the devotees are an integral feature of Kharchi puja. The non-Brahman high priests, the Chantai, continued to minister their rites and rituals, but absorbed the important Hindu deities, resulting in their national pantheon transforming into the Chaturdasa Devata, with the deities being identified with a corresponding Brahmanical name.

I visited this place for the Beating Retreat Ceremony which is held at this border, but on arrival I was informed that it just happens twice a week(one day is Sunday)
I wasn't lucky enough that I can witness the parade but anyways all the best to future visitors and tourists please arrange accordingly.

I really wish they work on that.

From there if you go to the up floor there the seating arrangement is different you have to seat on the floor. So if you have a problem seating on the floor you can take the ground floor. Free drinking water is available inside. A round walking path of 2000 m outer circle is there . At every 200 m achivement milestones are there. Branch passages are there inside the forest. Seating arrangements & dustbin are placed in close intervals. So, properly maintained and planned forest. An open gym is there. Nursery of orchid, fern and many more. Small birds collection, Rabbits are there. You can find various birds , squirrel 🐿️ in the woods. Just go inside the jungle and seat for a while, but one problem is there, mosquito. You can't ignore them. Many couples find themselves good inside the forest, so, some times it may be difficult to find any vacant seat. However you can have a good walking exercise of 2 km enjoying the forest. Have some exercise in the open gym. For returning to the Agartala station, many auto and other transportation options are there. Gate closing time 18:00 hrs .

Outside Laxmi Narayan temple there is Shiv & Hanuman temple. Devotees enlighten candles/ agarbatti/ diyas in the left side of shiv temple & right side of Laxmi Narayan temple. Candle/ diyas are available the outside the main gate of the temple. I like the two Owls decorated outside the temple door. Last year I have visited here during Akshaya tritiya, the temple was fresh & clean during that time but during my recent visit I have witnessed that people (DEVOTEES) has just changed the beauty of the temple. May be last year during (i don't remember exactly my be it was Dashami or what I don't remember) I saw on social media that ladies came in this temple & played sindur. Uma Maheshwari Temple is another temple located within the Ujjayanta Palace grounds in Agartala, India. This temple is dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Uma or Parvati and was built by Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya.
A red colored Shikhar adorns the sanctum sanctorum of the temple which was built on design of Jagannath temple at Puri. Earlier this was in white color which was painted red in 2018. There is no entry fee to this temple and the best to visit here is during evening.

It's 4 hrs drive from Agartala, train takes about two and half hours, and the thing to see is just about 15-30 min. The place is serene and located in the middle of jungle. There are no shops, resturants, cabs around. So be prepared in terms of transportation.

A very good place, the calm and quiet environment is very soothing to the mind. The temple itself is very clean. We visited here around 8:00 AM, which is when the temple opens, so it was very empty. The idol is very nice and so is the temple with lots of greenery. There is a big lake just in front which is also very nice. This is just beside the Bangladesh border, you can see the fence and people on the other side of the fence. There is a station in Bangladesh nearby, I could hear the whistle. A must see place in Tripura.

Sometimes I take the 20 ruppee tiffin i.e. puri sabzi for breakfast which is really great in taste. I also attended few events such as last rites of an acquaintance. While today I have gone there to attend a wedding which is performed under the ISKCON norms. It is my first time to witness this kind of wedding, it was very simple but has its own charm in it. The food there was also delicious. It included fired rice, pakoda from the Banana blossom, sabzi with baby corn and panner, daal, another panner dish, Chutney, at last, vanilla ice-cream. This temple is neat, clean and beautiful. It is small and located in the market area. It is adjacent to the main road,math chowmuhani.. the entrance is colourful and impressive. Inside of the temple has paintings on the roof and there are beautiful statues of Jagannath, Balram and Rukmini, Krishna and Radha. Overall a very good temple.
