My 2nd night in town I enjoyed this prix fixe menu at "The National." This 4 course meal had this big guy stuffed! The wine selection here is expansive and the sommelier is very knowledgeable! She helped me select a bottle that would pair with all 4 courses and it did not disappoint throughout the entire meal. I'm almost certain this was my first time having panna cotta and I am not upset about it at all. It was rich and creamy and went well with the foccacia. The scallops were cooked to perfection and of course the mushrooms blended well with the scallops and risotto. My favorite dish of the meal was definitely the Short Rib. OH MY! This was incredible, had the meat sweats devouring this dish, it was rich and packed full of flavor that your grandmother could only dream of achieving with her Sunday dinner. The dessert was the sweet treat to finish off this amazingly filling meal. I was sitting at the bar top and enjoyed the service from the bar staff. I entered the store with my service dog, upon entering there was another dog in the store that belonged to the employee working there.
