Just outside the cafe is an area you can sit and eat and around that area are a number of small gardens which are lovely and each one is very different. I've been coming here for over 40 years, my children love this park as much as I do. It had beautiful serene grounds. It is perfect for children and families to spend an afternoon. The playground area has seen some changes over the past 4 decades, its always nice to see children enjoying themselves. There is a netball court, a bandstand for summer events. A beautiful quiet garden dedicated to veterans and a lovely green house. Unfortunately my childhood museum burnt down and very little has been done to resurrect it after all these years.
