Unfortunately the tragedy was broadcast live on television in 1989 and I witnessed it as it happened. I felt I needed to visit the sight and it was adequate. However, I was disappointed I was not able to see a list of those that perished in the catastrophe. I understand this monument is dedicated to that that helped save lives and rescue those that were hurt. But, I was still disappointed.
