The Shrine of Our Lady of Carmel is a long-standing church in Broadway, Quezon City.
This is my revisit to the Church as of Nov 22, 2024. This is where I passed by and took the mass when I was a college student in FEU Manila around 2004, accessible by either jeepney or LRT 2.
Some of the officiating priest is a European nationals, and beside the altar has a Vatican flag in the corner.
On the left side of the basilica are crypts or columbarium, where the late Chief Justice Andres Narvasa's ash remains was located.
The Basilica has a wide parking area, and the environment was generally peaceful despite being nestled by heavy traffic in Broadway Avenue heading to the direction of Aurora Blvd.

Massive and grand is how I would describe this hallowed basilica; I think it has the same size as the Manila Cathedral or the Binondo Basilica…I think!
Located in a not-so-busy location (read as quiet, less traffic) and yet devotees still flock to this place.
A very solemn and meaningful way to reflect and pray. The basilica has high ceilings with big fans that even a sweltering summer day will keep the interiors cool.
There is also a place to light votive candles with a minimal donation.

My previous visit here was before the pandemic. It's still a religious sanctuary along the hectic and snarly Quezon Avenue. The mass I attended kept within an hour which I appreciate. The grounds are pleasant to walk at and we actually managed to get a snack at Cafe Inggo while waiting for the mass. Overall, if you haven't been here, it's worth a visit. It has plenty of parking even during busy Sundays. To the Dominicans, it's time to have a repaint. Air-conditioning too, budget-permitting.

The pomp and pageantry of the Catholic mass rituals were on full display in this evening’s mass. From the grand entrance of the priests and sacristans to the lightings and flower arrangements at the altar and that marvelous choir! If this is not a piece of heaven then I do not know what is.
Never have I seen a very massive church be filled up on a Saturday vigil mass. And only now have I noticed that the Sto Domingo Church (or Our Lady of dela Naval) is very big and so conducive to prayer (not air conditioned though natural air and that coming from the numerous wall fans suffice).

One of the best looking Churches at Metro Manila, this is most probably where every Catholic dreams of when they talk about a Church wedding. Not too extravagant but is certainly appealing.
The place is reasonably large given its location. It ia also hidden from the main road so it is fairly quiet. Parking may be a bit of a challenge particularly if you have a large vehicle.

Came here for a friend's wedding. The series of wedding mass makes me think that this church is famous for wedding ceremonies. Could be because of its long aisle which is perfect for entourage. There's no open space for the church. It feels like you're on separate rooms as you hear the audio from the one room where the priest is at. Everyone is worshipping where they cannot see where the priest is because it's just a whole layout of separate rooms. Chairs are just put so people can sit. It's very interesting. In my opinion, this is one of the best Catholic church. Ever since I was a kid, my father would bring me to St. Peter Parish along with my siblings. Now, as an adult, I personally prefer to attend celebration masses here. It is giving so much solemn vibes and had given us answered prayers. The staffs are nice and the Priests are very kind.
No kid, I saw a Man standing in front of the altar last year for a second, He was wearing all white, with long dark brown curls and was somewhat illuminating. It was around communion, we churchgoers were kneeling down. We would have different opinions about this matter but for me, I know I saw Him.

Appointed a jubilee 2025 pilgrim church, under the archdiocese of Manila, this shrine is a testament to the Filipino peoples love of peace as it is at the very location of this shrine that has seen the peaceful overthrow of 2 presidents.
The location itself is located at the crossroads of two major thoroughfares in Metro Manila and right smack in front of the entrance of Robinson’s Galleria Mall.
The church itself is not big but beautifully designed to incorporate modern architecture with traditional Philippine touches in many areas specially seen in the many capiz shells used in decoration.
Although compact, this little church has everything, a baptistery, an adoration chapel, parish office, votive candles lit in a minute open air garden.
The cross centerpiece is a modern lighted rendition and quite unusual.

Mañosa's expertise in architecture is displayed with the seamless integration of Our Lady of EDSA's monument and the shrine below. The glass doors are both functional and aesthetic—as it is fully air-conditioned inside and at the same time evoking an "open" space for people in all walks of life. One of the oldest church built during the Philippines Spanish era, we did a quick stop and didn’t have time to go inside to see the beautiful interior. What’s caught my eye are the inscriptions of the Ten Commandments outside by the entrance close to the fence, in the national Filipino language. This monastery is one of my favorite places to pray and reflect. It’s quiet, solemn, and very well maintained. The tradition of offering eggs to St. Clare for clear weather or answered prayers is something uniquely Filipino and deeply spiritual. Recently I was made aware of this old church when we were pointed to this church for marble comfort crosses to be held when one is in challenging circumstances.
This was a happy discovery. The Minor Basilica of San Pedro Bautista started as wood and thatched roof chapel in 1590.
The present church is not Baroque in design since its latest rebuilt was made in 1931. Although the inner courtyard still has remnants of its pre colonial structure.
The church has an impressive retablo and domed ceiling.

The environment is so foreign it reminds me of old towns which are not found in Manila. On the way to the church, the streets were so clean and orderly (maybe because it is in the vicinity of Malacañan)
