A nasty old couch from 1980 and a really outdated small kitchen with a rusty oven. The tiny little TV was Allllll the way across the room from the bed. They did have a kid's menu which was great for our 2 children. My wife & I both ordered smash burgers off of the main menu. We both loved our burgers, and I think mine was possibly the best burger I've ever eaten in my life. I got the Tamarac burger and it was absolutely sumptuous let me tell you. There was something about the dijon curry sauce that was utterly delightful and perfectly complementary to the burger as well as the shaved prime rib. Service was great between friendliness along with promptness. I really liked how our burgers were served too, on these neat little metal trays. Would love to come back even if not staying at the lodge.

Once called Kamloops. We were highly disappointed with the new set up. This is not COVID-19 related. We got their on what was supposedly their first night of a menu change. They do not have any typical burgers or pizza/sandwiches on the menu for dine in. Only expensive dishes are served so apparently the new owners are trying to bring in an upper crust clientele. Burgers, pizza can be ordered to go and for room service. My husband was going to order a steak but let me order first and I tried to order chicken. The server informs me, they are out of chicken. Ok no problem. We ask for a to go menu and my husband orders a drink (which they did comp and since he didn't like it, they took it back and gave him a glass of wine) and my husband ordered the handheld charcuterie sandwich and I ordered a cheeseburger. (To go) about ten minutes later they came out and informed us they didn't have the charcuterie. So he orders a pizza. The server brings us bread with butter. The manager or owner don't know who, he didn't introduce himself came over to apologize for all the trouble. The pizza comes out and we ask where the burger is and the server had taken it upon herself to cancel my burger! This is completely unacceptable. They did insist on us keeping the pizza as we did turn it away. I did tell the people who were coming up to their reservations what happened and that I wouldn't eat there. I have been a server in the past, I know it is a difficult job. There was not many tables there. There was one other table inside and maybe 2 out. She was even writing orders down. This is not the type of service that is provided at a restaurant where $45 steaks are served and other "normal" priced meals are not available. I do not want any business to fail, I understand people have bad days, but I do not understand how this happened. We will not be back. We had hoped to make this an annual stop on our trip.
