Our waitress Davinna apparently just started here but she crushed it! They have a really fun "Indecision" tasting menu here where the Chef just does what they want for X number of courses. It was delicious. Pork Loin and Compressed Pears, Salad with a delicious Egyption topping, Duck, and a hearty steak. It was immaculate.

Great of the greatest! That place honestly deserved at least 2 of Michelin Guide stars. Harmony of tastes and freshness is indescribable. You must try everything! From each salad to each desert, everything was mouthwatering. Extra joy for us brought the waitress, thank you Justice for such proper explanation and welcoming and professional service.

Stoped in for breakfast before my flight out— was told it was a must-try! The service was phenomenal, friendly and attentive. I had the breakfast BLT. Eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly, it was well seasoned and very filling. Good drip coffee as well. My server was fantastic. The kitchen was a bit behind, which he let me know. When I told him I may need to take my food to-go due to my flight, he made sure it was done with enough time to enjoy.

Hands down the best place for breakfast, brunch, or dinner in Rapid City. Tally's Silver Spoon is one of the best restaurants I've been too in years. The staff, atmosphere, and location are great. There is plenty of parking nearby at the city garage which is free evenings, weekends, and holidays. They offer indoor and outdoor seating weather dependent. The food... It's just spectacular. So much of it is made in house. From the pancake batter, sausage gravy, syrup, and more, I haven't had food that tasted as fresh as this in ages! Their pasta is made in house and is delicious! I'm not normally a fan of Chicken Fried Steak, but their's is amazing. It blew my socks off! I travel often and have lived in DC and just outside of Boston and the food here can easily compete with anything I've had in either place. The prices are super reasonable and I have nothing negative to say. TRY TALLY'S!

Good golly what a fantastic dining experience. I didn’t have a reservation for dinner however, the host kindly sat me right away. Everything from service to the food itself was amazing. I will always remember this restaurant!

Super delicious and great quality food! I got the Duck, Duck, Goose with sourdough and the Buffalo Steak Sandwich medium rare with the Hollandaise on the side. Both were absolutely fantastic! Thank you!

I came here for lunch and ordered Bison Maytag Marsala Mushroom. It was delicious and not salty as the other restaurant . The portion was big and tasty. The meat was tender. I also ordered a side salad since I love to eat noodles with salad. The restaurant was clean and wasn't too noisy. Service was quick and attentive. The waitress was very kind, friendly, and has sense of humour. I stayed in the hotel next to it so I didn't pay for parking. But if you drive, you will need to pay to park. No surprised since it's downtown. I would love to come back.

We’re in South Dakota on vacation and happened to come across this place — and we’re so glad we did! The breakfast was absolutely amazing. The chicken fried steak was cooked perfectly, and the scramble was delicious. But the real standout? The pancakes! In my opinion, they’re a must-try — especially with the vanilla caramel sauce. The staff were equally fantastic: friendly, courteous, and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the area!

I have ate the Colonial House for many years. My recent visit was good. I was greeted by a friendly upon entering the restaurant. Hector was a great server! He is incredibly attentive and remember a previous order. One basic thing that I fault servers for not keeping my drink topped off. Hector did fantastic. On to the food. The prime rib was flavorful and done to perfection! The entrée was served with a decent sized fresh side salad (Cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices and a small celery stock) and omg delicious onion rings. I have had the mashed potatoes and brown gravy which I wasn't a huge fan of. I have also had the chicken wing appetizers which were great. One complaint is the steak was pretty tough. Good but not needed was the asiago cheese crust. My girl had the chicken tenders and onion rings. She had no complaints and it was definitely fresh and hot. I highly recommend the Pumpkin Torte (or 2 or more). I look forward to coming back!

I love diners for breakfast. My husband and I travel quite bit and have had some bad experiences, but not here. The restaurant itself is clean and well decorated, the staff is very friendly, the food is good and plentiful, even the bathroom is great. I’m somewhat picky about smell, cleanliness and overall quality and this was top notch. I watched the busboy not only clean the table top, but also wipe down every seat! We split the Dixie Plate and a pancake. Very good and more than enough for two. I highly recommend the Colonial House. We’re from Texas, but if we lived in Rapid City this would be our breakfast spot!

Food was amazing. Best cinnamon rolls ever. Breakfast were delicious as well, great size. Coffee had great flavor. Oh! And the sugar cookies are amazing, big, soft and delicious. We stopped there in our way to Mount Rushmore and had a lot of parking. I recommend this place 100%.

The fiesta bread is great, it is complimentary, it is loaded with a sausage, and cheese. My boyfriend had the prime rib, medium rare, with mac & cheese. The Mac & cheese was a little on the tough side. But the rest of the food made up for it. I had the mushroom and Swiss burger, with Mac & cheese too. The burger was juicy, and the Mac & cheese was a little tough too. However, we enjoyed the dinner.

The cinnamon roll was still warm out of the over. Oh my best I've ever had. Incredible a must try

A great experience and would eat here again. The server was very friendly and attentive. All the food was delicious especially the peanut butter pie. I would definitely go back to try at least more pies.

Not being from the area.. Our experience started bad as the greeter gave us a stand offish attitude. The service was delayed/slow. Food was okay. The appetizer was not. We did get apologies from the manager & wait staff for the appetizer along with a make up piece of desert.

Always a delight to dine here. Our waiter was very nice and accommodating. The food is always excellent as well.

We just came back to the area after being away for a year. This was on the top of our list to go back to. Did not disappoint. Only got a picture of the calamari but it is hangs down the best we have had from coast to coast. The filet mignon and tatonka steak are top notch. Absolutely love this place

The salad bar is awesome! My mom and I were looking for a place where we could talk and eat a light lunch. The restaurant is quiet and has great spacing of tables to allow conversation without raising your voice to be heard. The booths are elevated and sturdy with high seatbacks. It was nice to get in and out of a booth without seeing the person behind you or feeling the booth shift when someone stood up or sat down. The salad bar had great quality of produce. You had options for salad greens, pasta salad and Greek olive dishes. 2 soup choices and cold cuts with rolls for sandwiches! They even had desserts! Great place for lunch or a quiet dinner with friends and family. Pricing was very affordable considering it's attached to a hotel too.

The Grilled Salmon dish was very tasty and flavorful. Served in a timely manner. Very polite and friendly staff.

The main reason we choose this restaurant was the good reviews and honestly, it's proximity to the hotel...it was righy there. The service was great. Quick and helpful, just the right amounts of being there and not being there. The food. The salmon was done really well. Salmon can be dry but they know how to do salmon here. The chicken was OK. The sauce was excellent but the meat was dry. You needed thr sauce to get that chicken down. The atmosphere was...colourful. We were right beside the pool tables and the other patrons looked like they spent a lot of time in bars. A solid 4 stars.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, providing suggestions and information. The potatoes crusted walleye with wild rice was very good.

We were pleasantly impressed by this cute coffee shop. The 'Nola bowl and Avocado toast were awesome and the waffle was also yummy. The pasties with green chile were a surprise and really great! The iced bingo blueberry tea was also great!

I went on a beautiful Sunday. got the continental breakfast which was a toasted croissant, jam, brie cheese, fruit and a house coffee. $10. it was amazing. filling, perfectly flaky and got the coffee right after purchasing at the register. the coffee station was clean and organized. the creamer was empty but was filled immediately by a employee restocking behind the station. I will come here again next time i visit🥰 thanks to the staff for keeping the environment clean, maintained, and delicious. forgot to take photos bc i was too excited to eat it🤪❤️❤️ bonus points for having a cool van to chill in while we waited for food

Very charming coffee shop with an impressive selection of food options. Very cozy interior with a second level perfect for quiet work. Their espresso has unique floral notes that really “brightens” their drinks. Would love to visit again!

Super cute, there was a van that you can go in and sit too. There’s an upstairs area also, so plenty of space. The coffee was really good, and so were their waffles. We also got the acai bowl and that was good also. Everyone was also really nice!

A beautiful location and interior. Service was phenomenal, kind and courteous. Attentive to any modifications or specifics. We had a little trouble finding a table on a busy Saturday. We ordered the Golden Latte, Spiced Chai Latte and Continental Breakfast. Both drinks came packed full of flavor, hot and beautifully presented. Continental breakfast came out on a wood board the croissant was perfectly toased and paired with brie, jam, and fresh fruit.

This coffee house is a real find! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with large, bright windows and an upper floor featuring additional table seating. Perfect for a relaxing morning, afternoon, or for work or studying. What really sets them apart is their incredible food - I had the BEST breakfast croissant that melted in my mouth. Flaky, buttery, and utterly delicious! The coffee is top-notch too, rich and full-bodied. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great cup of coffee and some good food. Can't wait to go back!"

Wonderful coffee shop with very accommodating staff and great vibes. I had a hot latte that I let sit too long as I did my homework and they put it over ice for me when I asked. I also had a homemade pop tart which was delicious! Will definitely be visiting the next time I am in RC.

The food was great! Salad bar selections are varied and plentiful. Ribs were perfectly tender and flavorful. Our server was happy, welcoming and helpful with recommendations. If your in doubt of where to eat, stop doubting and just eat here.

I never order fried chicken north of the Mason Dixon line but I’m happy the devil made me do it tonight! OH MY STARS it was excellent! And the chicken gravy on my mashed potatoes, was just like my Nanny made in South Georgia! I’m a southern girl tried and true and when I tell you this is good fried chicken-I’m not lying! Served piping HOT to the table and fried to perfection! The salad bar was great with many fresh choices and the hot soup sure pleased my hubby! Lynette was our server and she is just a ball of light and sweetness! We honestly could not have asked for more! We are here for three night and coming back tomorrow to try the cod and the pie! They also honor military families with a discount and we are grateful for that too! Thank you! OK-need to follow up-I stand by my review of the fried chicken 100% but went back the follow night for dinner and had a completely different experience. Our waitress was awful-left dirty dishes on the table despite coming to our table several times. She was not rude but she wasn’t nice either. My husband got the cod-said it was good but the portion was too small for the price. The only reason he didn’t leave hungry is because he ate my dinner too (the second one) I ordered the hamburger steak with brown gravy and sent it back to the kitchen. So gross-limp institutional food grade garbage and my entire plate was flooded in flavorless brown gravy. One bite and that went back! So-I ordered the chicken tenders thinking they must be good since the fried chicken was so good-right? WRONG! Again-premade garbage thrown in a fryer straight from the freezer. I took one bite and gave the entire order to my husband. (He is retired army and will eat anything) I didn’t even bother to try the pie, I was so ready to get outta there! So-if you come here, eat the fried chicken…that’s all I can say!

The Milestone restaurants are one of our all time favorites. We go out of our way to go to one. Breakfast served all day. Great family restaurant that my grandfather would love. Too bad they have coke products instead of Pepsi. Bacon extra crisp was really good, only 3 pieces with the meal pie as a side. She got dr pepper, i had an Arnold Palmer with sweet tea. Shelby was a great waitress.

Had some tender, flaky walleye well seasoned, but not so seasoned that it overpowered the fish. A good balance. The onion rings were nice and I wish I got more of them. Salad bar had a decent selection and the soup was included too. The extensive menu will ensure even picky eaters in your family can find something.

Great family style restaurant - highly recommend - salad bar - breakfast served all day - menu is loaded and there is a kids menu as well - if you are in the area stop by!

Overall i would say that it is the quality of an order off the menu Golden Corral. Lettuce looks bad. Minestrone wasngood but bread sticks were old. Pea salad and pepperjack cheese were very good. Portion on mashed potatoes was small. Pretty sure chicken fried chicken patty was good as well as the white gravy. Corn was buttered but unseasoned. Bread pudding is super dense and could use a sauce. And the dry brownie served on a paper plate...just don't. Very cute family restaurant with great potential, just poor execution at this point.

Food and staff were great. Prices reasonable. Had two egg omelette and hash browns and that definitely filled me up. Will try to come back again.

I love eating here. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Spots up front for handicap ♿️. The food was delicious. The corn was not so great. Roast beef is my favorite, and the carrots in it were so good. Very delicious.

Food was about what you expect from a buffet but the service was terrible for us. Other people were getting their table cleaned off or at least would be asked if everything was good but we didn’t get any of that. Do no recommend.

I've been to Golden Corral multiple times and honestly it's getting better for a place being on the north side. I'm so glad they put the weight food so you can pay for the rest of your food and take it home. Can sometimes be very crowded but can't complain due to it being all you can eat. I just love their staff my favorite employee is this lady I can't remember her name at the moment but her service was great. She's been there for a while now. But the food is absolutely amazing many choices for kids grown ups and teens. The stake is my personal favorite because you can ask them to cook it the way you want it to be cooked. Well done is my personal favorite.

It had been a while since I have eaten at a Golden Corral, but those memories were not the same as the experience here. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic! The selection was larger than I remember. My childhood favorite of chocolate pudding was there, but there was also cakes and even cheesecake! Whatever y'all are doing here, keep doing it!

Went to this particular location back in March, 2025. This location had done a complete remodel has spent some serious money updating and making the necessary repairs to the building and appearances. Was thoroughly impressed with the service the atmosphere and the food itself. Everything was hot decent and nothing looked overcooked like it had been up on the buffet too long. I look forward to taking my family back there to show them the way Golden Corral should be, the way Golden Corral used to be when I was younger. They "the restaurant" seemed to really care about customers and know what service means. I was thoroughly impressed to see the Investment Group that owns it put the money back into it that they did so many places don't anymore.

No kids friendly facilities per say. They had high chairs and one booster seat. They need a toddler friendly dining area with Play Mats/color menus. Maybe even monitors playing children shows. No toddler or child wants to just sit and wait for adults to finish eating. Only one toddler (mine) was there. Doesn't seem very child friendly. It's a buffet with nothing for children. They should work on that.

Began our dining experience with a short wait, as there was multiple people ahead of us. We were then sat and watched multiple servers walk past us. While we were waiting to even be greeted, we overheard loud, angry conversations happening between servers and the cooks. We were not even GREETED until 10-15 minutes after being seated. We also had to flag down the host to even get our server to come to our table. By the time we were greeted, we were already ready to order, however, our server came to our table quickly asked what we wanted to drink then left without even seeing if we were ready to order. Our server then came back to tell us they were out of the cold brew we ordered. Instead of waiting to see if we wanted something else, our server walked quickly away AGAIN. When our server finally returned to take our order, it had been 20-30 minutes since we had been sat down. Our food came out and it was average. We were not checked in on and continued to hear yelling and arguing happening between servers and cooks and guests. Overall was not a great experience. I would be surprised if we returned.

So I ordered Biscuits n gravy and the hashbrowns were barely fried still soggy and cold in the middle. So I asked if I can exchange for a burger, waiter takes food back and we can hear the only kitchen cook back there start using profanity very clearly very loudly. Slaming plates, My whole table was offened by the rude comments he was making about LGBTQ. I finally get the burger n it's cold in the center. It's to the point where I don't want to complain but something needs to be done so that experience doesn't happen to people that have special needs people with them. This happened April 6th 7:36pm. Highly do not go during dinner time.

The food was very good. Our waitress was super nice very helpful and sweet. It took a while for the food to come out which I wasn’t in a hurry so it was ok. Other than that the coffee you can tell it was sitting in the pot for a long time it was very burnt and bitter tasting, and there was a booger on the booth.

Can’t say much about this place except it is horrible. First time visiting Rapid city as we are out here for vacation. The food was horrible, staff was horrible, the overall experience was horrendous! The waitress was rude, gave dirty looks and went and talked about us to the kitchen staff. The food was overcooked and small proportions. It is very pricey for receiving the amount of food we were given. It made me feel like we ordered off the kids menu but paid adult prices. The waitress was very snarky with her comments when it came down to paying and leaving her a tip. She wasn’t happy with the tips she received. She had commented in a very snotty tone and watched over our shoulder as each of us payed our bill.

We were the only ones in here. The building sits back were you can't see it. Very clean good atmosphere

OVERPRICED AND UNDERWHELMING I recently visited the Rapid City IHOP and left feeling frustrated and ripped off. The prices were shockingly high for what can only be described as mediocre food and subpar service. Here’s a breakdown of our experience: A stack of four average pancakes cost $13 – far too expensive for such basic quality. Coffee was priced at $5, which felt steep for what tasted like gas station coffee. Fountain drinks were also $5 each, and to make matters worse, there were zero offers for refills, which is practically unheard of at similar establishments. A plate of four chicken strips with a waffle set us back $16, and neither the portion nor the quality justified the price. The food was, at best, mid-tier, yet the prices suggested premium quality/large quantity that simply wasn’t delivered. This IHOP feels like a franchised cash grab, prioritizing profit over customer satisfaction. We were thoroughly disappointed and won’t be returning. I strongly recommend saving your money and supporting a locally owned restaurant in Rapid City instead. You’ll likely get better food, better service, and better value. Skip this overpriced, underwhelming IHOP

I went out to eat breakfast with my family and had a horrible experience. There is no communication between staff. The food portions are not worth the price. The food was overcooked and very dry. Our waitress seemed to have an attitude as we walked through the door and was training a new employee. Order chicken fried steak breakfast that had no gravy. The waitress brings it to the table and informs us the cook has just told her they ran out of gravy. The waitress talked to her boss and had the kitchen make more. It comes out and is just horrible. The manager comes out and we explain the situation. We had three separate tickets and when it was time to pay and leave the waitress watched us give the tip and had an attitude with everyone who had payed and tipped. She gave us dirty looks and even made some nasty rude comments. This was one of the worst experiences I had. The staff is just rude and seems like they don’t like to be there. I definitely won’t be coming back to this location.

Went out to eat for a birthday dinner. Everyone loved the food they ordered. The Salmon BLT's were delicious. The aoli tied all of the flavors together perfectly. Next time I order this, I would ask for some on the side so I can have more to put on the sandwich. The Gouda Nachos were delicious as well. I would try both dishes again as soon as possible. Our server was friendly and patient with us as we had a large group and got everyone food to them as ordered.

Very quiet and warm atmosphere. Romantic type. We ordered a bison steak and bison rib with salads. Lovely bartender as she made us an customised drink

This is the second time I’ve order a simple Grilled Chicken Caesar salad. The first time no dressing. This time no grilled chicken and my husband and I even went in and sat in the bar area and had drinks and I order my salad to go. The bartender Heather was too busy trying to get my husbands life story to get my grilled chicken. Always check your food if you get to go because I can’t even get my simple grilled chicken Caesar salad correct from them.

This place was still open by time we got into town off the lake. The food was delicious and the staff was very good at what they do.

We love the Gold Bison Grill and have been many times and have always been pleased! Steve, Heidi, Heather and Taryn go above and beyond in every way, anticipating our needs. The atmosphere on the bar side is our favorite and the food is always delicious. Recommend the Burger, Pesto Flatbread, Truffle Fries, Spinach Strawberry Salad. You won't be disappointed!

This wonderful kitchy, diner is fun, and the food is fabulous. We had to wait a minute, but it was worth the wait for sure. Perfect fluffy pancakes and bacon cooked to perfection. Well worth the wait. I don't think anything is frozen. The food tastes homecooked. Nobody makes blueberry pancakes like Ron's Cafe and yes, I have been to IHOP before. Now, the chicken fried steak. I, personally, make a pretty good chicken fried steak. I only wish I could get my steaks as tender as Ron's Cafe's. So delicious. Good food, good prices, great atmosphere.

Fun old school diner, great food and people! Had the patty melt, was awesome, their breakfast is always killer as well.

We had the BEST time at Ron's! The food was absolutely delicious but the real gem was the sweetest and best server west of the Mississippi. If we didn't live in Iowa, we'd be back regularly.

Excellent customer service. But everything here was in slow motion. Long wait and none of the staff was in a hurry. 4 of us got the lunch special of soup and chicken salad sandwich. Soup was great but the chicken salad was paper thin. Dessert was good.

Ron's Cafe has very good food. Gypsy has a hot beef dinner and I had the chicken Fried Steak. Both were very good. The Cafe is quite unusual and the wall decorations are very good. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We met Ron and I have included a photo. The next time we are in the area we will definitely stop by for a meal.

What a great place to eat! The food and service is always exceptional! Having read Mr. Bucks review makes me wonder if he was at Ron’s Cafe or in his own delusional kitchen? Have never seen any staff be rude to anyone!

I did not care for the Friday fish fry at all. The cod was tough and had no flavor. It's $15.25 for a dismally small portion of low quality fish. They give you a "second portion" - so I tried baked first and fried second. The fried portion looked like a torn fish stick (see photo for reference). On the plus side, the fries were good and our server, Rachel, was pleasant, but I'll never come back here again.

Nice casual restaurant. I went there in the morning for breakfast and encountered what it looks like a lot of regulars. Normally, that's a good indication of how good the restaurant is. However, that was not my experience. If I have a choice of restaurants, I like to find one that serves breakfast cuz sometimes I like to have breakfast for dinner. This has to be hands down the worst I have ever had. Several years ago, I had the flu and the stuff that was stuck in my throat, which was more flavorful than this " omelette". The servers were outstanding and readily took it off the bill. They did ask me if I wanted a substitute it but by that time I was already turned off on the food I did have pancakes but that's was just one of the things I was there for.

Food was delish! Salad bar had a good assortment along with 2 soups. Potato was good and hot. No complains! Service was amazing!

Best burger I’ve had in a long time. Rest of family loved their meals as well. Salad bar was stocked and fresh fare all the way around. Reese was our server and was great - very attentive and friendly. She even got after the cook for forgetting something and brought it right out. You won’t be disappointed!!

Food was hit or miss. Steak and fried beef were not good. One was burnt and the other was just bad all around. The breakfast skillets were good. Salad bar was good with what was on it but there just werent a lot of options. Service was not good. Cups set empty. We sat around forever waiting for a check and finally started standing up and gathering our things and got it. There is no where for larger people to sit. The booths are too small and the chair have low wrap around arms. I am only 180 lbs and felt like the chairs were uncomfortable. No one larger would have been able to sit in them.

Seated fast and service was good. Food was diner like and what we were looking for. Rueben was good.

This was a basic tourist trap for locals. My daughter had a Rasbery Smoothie, which was more water than anything. My traditional cup of coffee was again watered down, and they were stingy on the honey and almond milk. Price wise, they are close to New York City, but Rapid City is no NYC. Service was a tad slow compared to the place not being all that active. Finally, I could have done without the political chatter by the staff complaining about Trump. He won, get over it. This is supposedly a coffee shop, not NPR discussion hour. When/if we return to Rapid City, we will be checking out the other Java shops.

Locally owned and long-term managed coffee shop with bakery. It is located on the East side of the downtown Plaza. Beautiful facility with many comfortable seating options. Fruit smoothies, baked goods, teas, expresso, and ice cream. Immaculate and sparking clean. Park in the city garage or on the street.

Friendly staff. Great coffee and non-coffee drink options. Pastry and simple breakfast and lunch options. Plays Christian music as background music. Great place to sit and read while sipping coffee options

Very nice atmosphere. They had the entire building decked out with Christmas decorations which was awesome. We had a snack and coffee. We both had a carmamello latte, which was caramel and marshmallow. It was awesome. The staff was very friendly, service was excellent. They have really good yogurt parfaits and the breakfast sandwiches are to die for. They have good homemade baked goods and other food items that are great to try if you're in the area. It's very convenient to have a good coffee shop at main Street square so you can get coffee before you walk around downtown.

I can’t say enough about how cute this place is. Everyone who works there is so nice, they made me the yummiest vegan mint mocha frappe, and they’re right on the square downtown so you can enjoy the live music while you sip your drink. Definitely check it out!

Absolutely fantastic! The food and prices were absolutely amazing. The service was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered a garden quiche, a spinach wrap veggie sandwich with Swiss cheese, and a strawberry banana smoothie. The garden quiche was delicious, it was homemade and not at all greasy. You could just tell the ingredients were fresh.

Very surprised to see that this place only has 3.5 Stars on Yelp. I stopped here needing a quick bite while waiting for my friend to arrive in Rapid City. This place was exactly what I was looking for. It was also my introduction to the Black Hills and was certainly NOT what I was expecting in terms of dining options. There menu is extensive and full of Gluten-Free and Vegan options. I ended up getting "Fuel Bites" and "Harvest Blast" Fit Fuel smoothie. Both were delicious. The fuel bites were peanut-buttery granola and the shake was filling without being too fruity. I was only in Rapid City for a few hours but I am glad I stopped here. It totally changed my perspective of the town and the nutritional options available to you. I would highly recommend if you are local or just passing through. Though I did not try their coffee, the menu seemed to be extensive.

The absolute best caramel latte paired with a delicious breakfast. We ordered the berry french toast and apple sausage hash. Friendly staff and quick service. I love how they are dog friendly too! 🐾 Highly recommend giving this local coffee shop a try.

Awesome REAL coffee, an island of deliciousness in a sea of crappy diesel flavoured truckstop drip "coffee" throughout mid-west USA. The food is great also and the service is outstanding. Ironically the owners are from Perth, Western Australia, a city of good coffee but with its own quirky coffee mannerisms such as the "long mac topped up". Also a "Michael Special" at this place is what is known as a "Magic" on East Coast Australia. Get it down ya!!! It was a very welcome surprise and we WILL be back!!!

Essence of Coffee has quite a bit of indoor seating and some sidewalk seating. After ordering at the counter you seat yourself. There is a good selection of breakfast foods with both savory and sweet items. We ordered the Bagel Sandwich and the Pancake Stack Max (I think). Both were okay. The pancakes and syrup lacked flavor. The bacon on the bagel, though plentiful, also lacked a traditional smoky bacon flavor. Actually tasted a little "gamey". A staff member brought our food to us, but none of the staff was friendly. I don't regret our visit, but I wouldn't go back.

Just had breakfast and coffee here and it’s delicious. Thick cut and perfectly cooked bacon, and the fruit bowl had high quality fruit. They also have oat milk and dairy free milk options for my latte. Their coffee is delicious and roasted very well, not burnt tasting at all. We enjoyed the food here, highly recommend!

The staff here provide excellent service, the coffee (especially the Chemex) is fantastic, and the food is delicious and provides options you can't find elsewhere in town. I highly recommend their beef pie. This place is going to be my new morning hangout.

Nice place for breakfast. We stopped on our way across the state. Husband had the apple sausage hash, which he found to be too sweet of a flavor, but it was a large portion, which was nice. I had the bacon and cheddar quiche, which was tasty. Coffee and hot chocolate were both enjoyable. Nice atmosphere - relaxing while being both busy and quiet at the same time. Staff were friendly. We'd stop again if in the area.

It has good food. It’s a truck stop restaurant so you get good food that will last. It has military and senior menu which if you just want a smaller version of the main menu food, this will work. All employees were friendly and polite. 👌🏽

I walked in at 8pm hoping to order something to go as I am traveling. Their website says they don't close till 9pm. I was told they are closed with no explanation. There is food on the counter, a man sitting at the counter ,2 girls talking to a customer in a booth and another girl smoking outside. I will make sure I tell everyone I meet, to not bother eating here. No star rating! Convenient I geuss if you stop for gas but what a dump.

We were starving after serving at a local music festival all weekend and randomly found this restaurant and we were beyond pleased by the experience. Our server Heather was sweet as pie and did her job very well, a true professional. My husband and I had the Flat Tire breakfast and it was the best breakfast meal I've ever eaten so I highly recommend. When we come back next year, we are definitely eating here again!

We went there about lunch time on a Saturday and got right in. Our server was wonderful and friendly! The food was very good, full of flavor and cook just right. The pickle martini was fun, smooth but I would have liked a little more pickle flavor 😉. Lots of events seem to happen there so we'll definitely go back!

I’m sitting here right now, it’s been 30 minutes and we have only given our order. I had to get us our water and our water refills. I’ll be sending an invoice for my work. Too many tvs, if I want to watch television while I eat, I’ll stay home. This is supposed to be “fine dining” yet it’s really a sports bar. Next time I’ll go across the street to Sear Steakhouse. The photo below is our water and water refill jug I finally went and got for us.

Checked out the Park for the 1st time today for lunch when they opened at 11:00am. Upon walking into the lobby you find a huge artificial tree and are greeted by a friendly hostess. Upon being seated in the area adjacent to the bar I was surprised to find something you never see in a restaurant, comfortable padded seating. The flatware was gleeming with not a single water spot. The attention to detail was exemplary. I had the surf and turf which was an 8oz. Fillet cooked medium rare on a bed of asparagus and topped with Crab Garlic Gruyere Sauce. I paired it with a glass of Boen Tri-Appelation Pinot Noir. The combination was fantastic and prepared superbly. For Desert I had a Snicker Martini and a Creme Brulee cheesecake. All in all, I cannot think of a time when I had a better dinner out.

We ordered mozzarella sticks today for a group of eight people and we were served a blob of breaded mozzarella cheese. See the photo $14 for a blob of cheese advertised as sticks that’s bullshit! When we questioned the server he laughed it off and didn’t offer to remove the charge from our bill! I will not patronize this establishment again for a server to not offer no charge for there mistake bad business practice

Came for the Friday night crab/prime rib dinner and stayed for the casino entertainment . Food was great and the fully stocked Salad bar was definitely my favorite item next to the crab legs!

The ambience is nice . The food was ok. We ordered for over easy eggs but gave us over cooked but the waitress was amazing . She apologized and made us a new one and discounted us $1.80 something for the eggs. The steak was good . We went back for the brunch buffet Sunday and we were asked to wait for 23 mins and other customers too was asked to wait . We didn’t wait and went to Holiday Inn Brunch instead . Their tip started at 18%

We stopped in for lunch and were seated very quickly. Gabe was our server, and he was amazing. He was very professional, personable, and provided excellent service. Our food arrived hot and was delicious. The salad bar was very good. We will definitely be back!

I ate the Lobster Benedict & it was awesome! I typically eat eggs Benedict everywhere either eat breakfast, but decided to break out of the box a tad because I live lobster. Definitely a must!

Came to this diner twice while traveling to see the various sites around Rapid City. The food experience both times were great. I had the lobster eggs Benedict, chocolate chip pancakes, caramel roll, and even the loaded hash browns. All were great, and I recommend visiting this local diner for breakfast if you get the chance.

Holy cow. You want a hearty breakfast. This is the place to go. Big plates and pancakes as big as the plates themselves. Good meal and great employees. Use caution when you add a pancake to your dish cause it will fill you up.

Quick service and a friendly fast staff. The food came out within 15mins Hot and Fresh. This is not an optical illusion that pancake 🥞 is that Big and very delicious at that. The syrup came out warmed as well. The Chicken Fried Steak is made in house also. This should be on your favorites list.

Great everything!!! The owner was here smiling running food. The cooks were laughing and this place was packed.. I walked in alone and got a place at the bar. The PANCAKES ARE HUGE GET 1 NOT 2 LOL. THEY WERE GREAT AND THE SERVICE WAS TOP KNOTCHED! GIVE THIS PLACE A GO YOU WILL BE HAPPY YOU DID!

We were on a trip for Sturgis we have eaten all over since we have traveled over various states. We stopped in for breakfast and the food was great, the service was out of this world and the prices were right. If you're in the area don't pass on this spot.

So I have eaten here before. I had good previous meals here. Today sad to say it was bad. The Tatar tots were over cooked. The patty melt was very bad. I was told the bread would be wheat. It was not that. I ordered a Diet Pepsi I received regular Pepsi. There were 2 other people eating with me.

It’s nice to finally find a place that doesn’t make an omelette the size to feed a family of four. Two egg omelette is all anyone needs. Delicious food. Perfect portion hash browns. Plus coffee, less than $20. Great place.

We lived in Rapid City for 13 years and during our 8 years of full-time RVing since then we come back each summer. I can't believe that we never taken the time to eat here before. The service was top notch, coffee was good and always topped off. Everything that we ordered was very good. Place was clean. I would recommend and will go again. Only critics and it's a personal issue: I wish all businesses would stop using those auto scent sprayers in the bathrooms. I've been directly sprayed by them before and that is dangerous for the estimated 1/3 or more of the population that deals with chemical sensitivity. Their sprayer is pointing directly at you when you are doing your business. I would also encourage the wonderfully, friendly owner to dial back the cologne. It's kind of strong. But he's so so nice!

We came in not knowing what to expect and pleasantly surprised off of an 8 hour car ride starving <3 this place is absolutely delicious! I got a fat ass Hashbrown onions and peppers, smothered in gravy. Honestly it's probably the absolute best breakfast I've ever had at a restaurant (I'm not a breakfast for breakfast person) my party of 8 (one child) everyone has absolutely loved there meal and we all cleaned our plates for the most part lol. Listening to the chef cooking and singing rockin and rolling the kitchen made me smile you can tell he loves it.... (I've been a opener/chef for a small coffee and Bistro for a few years, cook in general) my heart is full. Traveling from mn if I ever get back here I'll absolutely stop, amazing portions, amazing flavors, amazing staff and the vibes are perfect <3

Now don't get me wrong just because I give "atmosphere" only a 3. I do that because "Mud Hole" isn't for everyone. It is the very epitome of a "hole in the wall". It's part restaurant, part garage sale, part local dive. In short - it's Freaking Wonderful! It's hard for me to get there during business hours since I don't live very near, but literally EVERY TIME I'm near there during business hours, it is Always my first choice for breakfast! LOVE the place! Great Chicken Fried Steak with eggs and hash browns!

This place is super rad definitely worth a stop. The atmosphere is super cozy and feels like you're at a family get together. The food was insanely delicious and portions were great in size. Also the price here is amazing for the quality of food. If I'm driving through again I'm definitely stopping back here.

I ordered bacon and it was cooked more than I like - I normally just get on with it. I knew I’d be miserable if I did that today so I asked if they could recook it - less cooked. The staff quickly redid the order, no fuss, no quibble ❤️ The bacon and the toast was exactly as I wanted it. My breakfast (a bacon butty for those in the know) was perfect, tasted delicious and my day was set. Thank you 😊

What a great hole in the wall restaurants. Small charming, the waitress’s are very friendly and quick. The kitchen is open and can see what the cook is doing which I found intriguing. Food was awesome and prepared quickly and extremely tasty. I highly recommend this place to anyone. If your in the area and need a good breakfast, this is the place to go.

For years the team at Fork Real has done a stellar job of providing delicious reasonably priced food. I stopped in for breakfast the other day and had chicken and waffles. The chicken had a little spice added to it that really brought the dish alive. As if the food weren’t enough to make me want to keep going back, their impact on Rapid City is amazing and makes me want to keep supporting them. Their new location at 507 Main Street looks amazing, I am excited to see it complete. I couldn’t recommend Fork Real anymore.

Super cute community cafe. I got their southern biscuit bowl which includes a pimento cheese sauce and a side of fruit. It includes cherry lemonade today. The food was fantastic! I was a little hesitant on the dish, but the lovely woman at the register said it was her favorite, and I’m glad I went with it. Highly recommend trying this place out!

Delicious food and an awesome mission at this community cafe. The staff I interacted with were very kind and welcoming. It's a nicely decorated place with a modern vibe and I felt very comfortable. We've always had a good meal and a good conversation each time we come to Fork Real. Fork Real plays an important and integral part in our community, especially for those who have come into hard times and are struggling financially. I am a firm believer in community-focused action to help bring others up and Fork Real does just that. It is so nice to be able to purchase meal tokens for those who are down on their luck and I am hopeful that they will make their fundraising goal for a food truck to reach people who can't make it to their restaurant location. I think showing love and support through food is important and I am so happy that our community has an opportunity to receive support through this community cafe.

Went here for late breakfast and was ok with my experience. Ive driven past here plenty of times and was eager to stop in. Parking isn't that great. Be sure to double check or risk being towed. Menu is simple but nice. Farm to table is always a nice bet. I understand the mission, I really do and I'm always supportive. However, if things arent going well, just talk to the customers and explain instead of bringing them the wrong orders and gambling if you'll get the order right. Thanks you for your time.

If I am ever in the area again I WILL visit again. Truly enjoyed the conversation with the owner, the story of the cafe and it's beginnings and the overall atmosphere. Hours are limited to lunch except in summer when they open for breakfast also. Local artists work displayed on the wall. A community serving business that is well worth supporting.

Stopped in for coffee and was surprised at the fun casual setting. Nice coffee and engaging staff. Local art in the walls and chef specials for those looking for something different. Try the cafe on a mission if you are in the area. During the summer, there is a breakfast menu. Otherwise, they serve lunch only.

Update: Well, i may have wrote my original review too soon.(as well as sending an electronic tip prematurely) Actually ended up having to call multiple times to confirm shipping of said left item, never to get back in touch with Patrick. Ed took over and he was great to speak to, very reassuring, and finally came thru at a pak and mail (which I've never heard of) to confirm shipment. Well tho I received my item, anything of value that was left inside (and also confirmed beforehand) was missing. After all the energy put into this ordeal, I am very disappointed. I know I'm the fool to think anything would be returned but I also think maybe this could have been handled a put more carefully. Thanks anyway Alex Johnson. Our stay was fine and housekeeping was great. The shop off the lobby is super cute and has lots of cool locally made items. The restaurant upstairs was delish but pretty pricey. Left an item behind and didn't realize it til I was about to board my plane to go home.. Patrick went above and beyond to retrieve the left item and is quickly having it shipped to me. Thank you thank you!!

It is sad that my review will not be 100% positive. The hotel itself is beautiful. I booked the ghost adventures package...to be in one of the rooms on the 8th floor. Upon arrival I was informed the 8th floor was under construction and I was not made aware of this prior to my drive over. Later I went to the lobby to check out the book that many people wrote in about their experiences and was informed it was stolen at the beginning of the year. Do not pay for ghost adventures package unless you have confirmation that the 8th floor is available.

Stayed here for a few nights while on vacation. Our check in experience was wonderful. Cynthia checked us in and gave us some history of the hotel and some recommendations on sights, hang outs and food. Excellent customer service. Rooms were dated but nice. If I had one complaint, it would have been the music that was played on the rooftop bar (Juniper at Vertex). For such a beautiful place to hang out and grab a drink or bite to eat, the music played was awful and didn’t fit the atmosphere at all. We wanted to relax and enjoy the wonderful space up there, but couldn’t get over the music selection and how loud it was. It was difficult to hold a conversation. Maybe some acoustic, smooth jazz, adult contemporary would fit the ambiance better

Location in Rapid City was great. Service was average at best I.e. room service and maintenance. Hotel lobby is nice with easy access to shops and a local bar. Hotel room(We had a suite) has been particularly updated(bathroom) but most of the room was very dated. Chairs,couch and tables were old and looked dirty. I give the hotel a 3.5 star. I would return but with less expectations.

Hotel Alex Johnson is a unique hotel right in the middle of downtown. It's within walking distance of several shops and restaurants, which made it ideal for us during our stay. However, there are a few reasons that we probably won't stay here again. -Rooms were small which isn't a big deal, but they could use some attention. The walls are covered in scuffs and the carpets are stained. Bathroom had no fan/window so there is mold in the shower. It felt like all the historical details were maintained in the lobby but the rooms were just an afterthought. They didn't feel historical, just old and not well-maintained. -Parking is a nightmare. Be prepared to either pay $30/day for valet parking, or install the app and park in the garage a few blocks away. I wish they actually gave information on parking ahead of time, but they want to squeeze every penny out you by making you pay for the valet.

I stayed here for four nights in the presidential suite last week. We had issues with bugs in the sink which we reported to the front desk one morning. Upon our return that night, the bugs were still in the sink. I went back to the front desk to complain nothing had been done about this to which the front desk attendant said he would remove the room rate for that night. Upon checkout, when I received my portfolio on my email, I noticed that the room rate for that night had NOT been removed as well as the daily food and beverage credit had not been fully applied for each day and there was still $25 of snacks on my account (I received $30 a day and spent under that each day). Also, the boiler went out for over 12 hours. While I know that is out of their control, there was no communication to the guests that there was no hot water in the building, and I had to call down to the front desk to inquire as to what was going on. I waited to write this review as I left a message with the general manager last Thursday and never heard back. I would recommend staying at the newer Hyatt Place just around the corner if you are going to Rapid City.

Fantastic location in middle of it all in Rapid City. A great historic hotel that Hilton has made tip-top. A warning for some, as it's historic, the rooms are on the smaller, traditional side, but still well equipped. the views from the rooftop bar/restaurant are perfect. Parking can seem confusing with valet, but they got great valets and a fair price, with Liam and Jackson treating us right for our stay. (Another parking tip tho... you can meter park for free after 5p or on Sundays, so if you stay on a Saturday night... ya could park for free fairly close by)

Beautiful wonderfully located hotel just minutes from the convention center. The airport shuttle was convenient as the driver met me at the airport for pickup. But my room was not ready for me. Waited for over an hour after checking in. Everything was resolved by Jeannette the night manager who offered me a complimentary dinner coupon at the Hold bison Grill for the room issue. Truly professional courtesy! Will return for another stay next time I am in town. Must try the other items on the menu at the restaurant next time I’m in town.

It was a really very nice hotel for the price. Rapid City itself didn’t seem like much was going on there. We were just passing through. It is in a good what felt like safe location. The check in staff was nice, but the room wasn’t ready when we got there at 11pm at night. It still had garbage from the last guest. If it was clean probably a higher rating.

The Gold Bison restaurant on level 1 is delicious and reasonably priced. The front desk staff is very welcoming and they reach out via text to see what they can do to enhance our stay. We are here for a concert and they have a wonderful pre and post party set up on the hotel for the evening, which is unlike anything I personally have experienced before a concert. Reasonable rates and the concert venue is literally sharing the parking lot with the hotel. You could not get closer.

The room itself was comfortable and satisfactory. I can’t say enough about how good the food was at the restaurant. We ate there two nights in a row and it was Delicious! My biggest complaint was housekeeping and the hot water situation in the rooms. Housekeeping came the first day and did nothing except empty the trash. We didn’t get any toilet paper and We didn’t get any more coffee or cups and they threw away previous cups. The second day housekeeping came we still didn’t get any more coffee and we were out of toilet paper and they didn’t give us any more. We had to request more toilet paper and more coffee and more cups. Finally, the hot water situation was awful. We never had hot water the whole time we stayed there so we couldn’t ever take a shower. My Husband contacted somebody at the hotel and they said they would fix it and it worked for about 10 minutes and then got ice cold again. So to sum up my review…rooms were comfortable, the restaurant was great but do not stay there if you wanna take a shower.

Room was very nice and clean. Perfect location if you are attending an event at The Monument - Only complaint I have is I was charged $15 for parking and never once was able to park in the hotel parking lot (?). I parked in The Monument parking lot (which is free) so I don’t think I should have had to pay hotel parking fee. Overall, we were please and will likely stay again

Thank you DoubleTree for the visit. I appreciate the upgrade to a corner suite. My room seemed fairly modern. Plenty of power ports. All the furniture looked well kept. Plenty of hot water and water pressure. No extra noise from the outside even with the atrarium. Your front desk was very helpful and responsive. I would consider staying here again.

For the most part the hotel and staff are great. But I noticed I got really sick after being in the hotel for an extended time. I saw housekeeping clean a lot of rooms but never saw them wearing gloves, using hand sanitzer, or washing their hands. Which is disgusting.

we spent 3 nights here and appreciated the shuttle service from the airport that we called for and was there in a few minutes. We had a room on the 8th floor that was quite noisy. The trains around bedtime were quite noisy with their horns - room could do with sound insulation. Then again in the morning with the building work not far from the hotel. Could hear reversing trucks every few minutes. There was some constant noise near the room, which was probably the elevator machinery whenever it was used. Room finish was a bit rough, could see the patching done, nails showing etc. Room was clean and fairly comfortable. Location was excellent for walking around town. Front desk was very busy but polite when we got through. I think more staff would help. I cannot recommend the breakfast or the food in the hotel. Was not the best, so went out for food.

If I had to title this review it would be "Great food, not so great rooms." So we were with a bus tour group starting out in Rapid City. We arrived a day early so that resulted us in staying there 3 nights (the tour had us staying there 2 nights plus our additional night having arrived early). The first night was an experience. It was a Friday night and our room was facing Main St. And Main St. is NOT quiet at night. There were yahoos going up and down the avenue with their cars and motorcyles making all kinds of noise all night long. Then when the bars letting out at 1 AM (or there abouts) there was screaming and yelling. Then there is the 11:30 PM and 2:30 AM train whistles. Yes, this hotel is right by train tracks where a train comes through during the night and blow its extremely loud horn. I thought it was bad for hotels to be situated near highways but this hotel has definitely upped the ante with the trains. UGH. The next night we moved to the other side to avoid the street noise at least. The only problem was that we were in a room which smelled really bad. We could not figure out if it was moldy or from a vacuum that was used that needed its bag changed. I will say that the breakfasts we had and the one dinner we ate there were very good. We had a welcome dinner for our group which served excellent food. For breakfast we chose each day to order from the menu (not the buffet). I had the eggs benedict 2 out of the 3 mornings which I recommend. At each meal our servers were all excellent.

After a not so pleasurable two night stay in Custer this hotel was a welcomed relief. Warm greeting upon arrival and answered all our questions. The lobby and restaurant are very nice. The breakfast buffet was well stocked with various choices and tasty. Not included however very well priced. Nice rooms with the little extras. Wi-Fi worked just fine. Plenty of space in the room. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Stayed at Rushmore as part of Caravan Tour. Great location in historic district. Rooms were nice. a little worn but clean and comfortable, friendly staff, Mike the van driver was a great guy. You are near many places to eat. Just some homeless hanging around hitting you up for smokes or a few bucks. My friend who lives in Rapid City says just politely ignore them. The city has many resources for them. But it was a great place to start the trip. They have a bar/food if your too tired to explore the town.

I've only stayed at one other BW Premier and these were miles apart. This hotels lobby was excellent, good elevators, but the room lacked a mini-fridge and no microwave. Not a requirement I know but pretty common in my travels. Also, the bed was comfortable as were the pillows but the headboards pleather had been picked at and was flaking off. All that being said, the staff was great and I'd stay there again.

I stayed in a two-queen bedroom for two nights. While the sound isolation isn't the best (i.e., you can easily hear what's happening outside the corridor), the guests have been mostly quiet, and I haven't had any issues with noise during my stay. The room comes with a TV and a coffee maker—no microwave or mini-fridge, but that shouldn't be an issue since there are many restaurants around the hotel. The bathroom feels spacious. I didn't use the bathtub for a full bath, but I did enjoy the very hot water from the shower. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Rapid City. One of the selling points of this hotel is its proximity to Mount Rushmore. I didn't visit it, but if you do, it'll be a short 30-minute drive. Other tourist attractions, such as the Journey Museum and the Museum of Geology, are within walking distance (about 20–30 minutes on foot). There is an airport shuttle, but it costs $10 one way (as of Nov 2025). When I visited, this hotel was the most affordable option in town, even cheaper than Airbnb options. If you don't need to use a full kitchen, this could be a good option if you're staying in Rapid City.

I was just disappointed. When you walk into the hotel it is beautiful. Then it went downhill. The cost was pricey. The room was clean but older and in need of TLC. Everything was well used. There was no free breakfast, but you could go to their restaurant and pay. There was also a bar on site.

We spent a week at this location. We are die hard Holiday Inn Express people. As always, the rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was well stocked and prepared well. This particular visit, a few downsides I noted. They could not keep towels stocked (I think their dryer was broken) and we kept having to ask for things like toilet paper rather than them being provided when they come to clean. The laundry room was super helpful. It does cost $2.50 for each washer and dryer but one of each wasn't working so it did take a bit longer. The pool room was so chemically that it hurt your eyes to sit there too long. Most staff were super great, however one of the breakfast ladies kicked the rock out of the patio door we were using to prop it open and locked a few families outside. It was a bit rude the way she went about it, but I'm sure she gets tired of saying something. Front desk staff were very polite and helpful. I also should add that at least one night we were there it was sold out, so it was a very busy week for them. Location was fantastic for driving into Keystone and all the local attractions. We had 5 people in our room and there was plenty of space even with the couch folded out. Rooms were quiet during our stay.

The hotel is updated , clean & quiet. The beds are so comfortable & the breakfast was great. The staff are friendly & helpful. A special call out for great customer service to Carly at the front desk. She helped us with directions & even recommended a great steak place … Dakota Steak . We would definitely recommend this quality hotel .

32nd time staying at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites and they don’t disappoint. Great service from the front desk. Very friendly. Pool is highly chlorinated. Laundry room is clean and it’s $2.50 for the washer and $2.50 for the dryer (front desk carries a room of $10.00 in quarters). Breakfast was great! Doesn’t matter what time you come down there is always seats available and the staff is constantly replenishing food and drink dispenser. Rooms are great and they provide Dove products (the best!)

Fantastic hotel with clean rooms, good breakfast with plenty of options, and friendly staff. There is also a store next to the hotel in a gas station to get your daily needs. The only thing is that it is located quite far from the town

Wasn't happy with room situation at all. First room was dirty . Second room didn't have sheets for hideabed . Hideabed mattress was awful and sunk in. . some part of the bed hanging out the side. No view . Just had bad juju all around it . Lady at desk not friendly. Staff just gives people the stink eye. . what a huge disappointment.

Friendly, courteous staff. Otherwise: -Computers in business centers terribly slow. 25-30 minutes to access my email and print off a 3-page Word document. -2nd day of my stay, on my way out at 1PM I requested housekeeping to stop by my room with some clean towels. Nothing by the time I was back 9:30PM. -Breakfast pastries/baked items stale. -Toilet flush flapper dislodged every couple flushes. Had to open the toilet tank and manually re-hook the flapper so the flush actually refills.

Very nice place to stay. Everything was clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was standard hotel bar, but just a little better than the rest.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We really enjoy dining at Black Elk Grill. Their quinoa power bowl is incredible! I also love their home tomato soup! I love to add grilled chicken. I love all the fresh ingredients and that they feature homemade dressings. The thought and care that goes in to each dish is so impressive. The burgers are super good, and the flatbreads are awesome too. One of the members in our group boasted how great the fish sandwich is. A wide variety of food. Their entrees are also super good. The chicken tortilla soup is the best I've had. Great spot for a meal and it is open to the public, you don't have to be a member. We highly recommend giving it a try. They also have a large and smaller meeting area and will host events so give it a try for your next office party.

We were looking for a new place with burgers and we were VERY pleasantly surprised by this grille hiding down the road from Jolly Lane! Will definitely return! Food was hot and delicious and the fries were amazing. Service was top notch and quick.

This restaurant has quickly become a favorite of ours in Rapid City. The atmosphere, food, and service are all fantastic. It's a hidden gem that's worth looking for. We love the sweet potato fries, quinoa bowl, and stroganoff.

SUPPORT LOCAL!! We loved having dinner at this restaurant! The food was awesome and our kids enjoyed their meal, even my picky eater! It is a beautiful location and a great little gem of a place to have a quiet dinner. The owner of the restaurant came out while we were there and chatted for a bit. Very friendly, awesome local young couple that run and own the restaurant side of it. We need to stop supporting all these chain restaurants and start keeping the American dream alive by going to places like this. The quality of food alone is worth it!

Got the steak melt sandwich with potato salad and fries. Very tasty. Fries were crispy and fluffy inside. Also got to try their spicy blackberry sauce, which was very interesting, in a good way. Solid place.

Brandon was such a great bartender! We got excellent service from both our server and the bar. We chose to eat here based on the photos of the food on the listing. We were not at all disappointed. Everything (cheese curds, apple beet salad, bbq chicken flatbread and smoked gouda flatbread) was delicious. The drinks were so cheap I had to double check that we were charged for both! Highly recommend if you're in the area! Brandon is so personable and welcoming. You won't regret your visit!

We had a variety of different dishes and they were all fantastic! My fiance and our kiddos enjoyed Black Elk Grill and would definitely recommend to all to try out. The owners are fantastic and accommodating, as well as kind and thoughtful. You can see the hard work they do to make your experience awesome! We will be back soon!

My son and I were traveling from Sioux Falls to Rapid City for a training and stopped by this restaurant for a late supper. The food was great, and the service was even better. We were warmly welcomed by Alex (amazing server), Jacob, and Jared. Despite the late hour, they took excellent care of us with kindness and professionalism. I truly appreciate their hard work and highly recommend them to their management for a token of appreciation. This restaurant has a great team—and I highly recommend it!

We were waited on by Melissa (I believe that is her name). She was very friendly, all smiles, checked on us a couple times during the meal. Menu didn't have the all-veggie omelet I like to order (unless you did the 99 cent per item omelet) so she suggested the one that everything including ham and replaced the ham with the veggie of my choice (avocado). Also, since I didn't want toast, she said she could do fresh fruit instead. No cost for substitutions which many restaurants do and the cook who prepared mine and my husband's breakfasts, did them perfectly. My only wish is that more restaurants would offer gluten sensitive items like toast and pancakes. I don't mind paying extra for that. However, like I said, the fresh fruit was a great option.

Diner style food choices were great. Pies were fresh, but some of the other bakery goods looked sad. Our server was awesome! Grilled chicken, broccoli and mashed potatoes were great.

The Mount Rushmore location had the best food of all three locations here In Rapid City. I got to try the Lacrosse location 2 days before it closed and it was operating on a limited menu as they didn't want to put stock in before closing it down.... The staff I dealt with there were great, the best of all three locations. And the other location the server I had was the best part of that experience she was friendly and nice. The server at Mount Rushmore was awful The tea glass went empty twice she very rarely checked on any of her guest and you could tell she just didn't want to be here and the place was not busy.

Our dinner service was excellent even though the store was extremely short staffed. Our waiter ran himself ragged trying to keep multiple sections on par. Given the circumstances, I believe he did an excellent job. It was why I left a more than generous tip. It was well deserved and something I don't really do very often. But he did a great job. Sorry that I didn't get good name.

Thelma is such a great server! This is our favorite Perkins restaurant in the area. The wait is usually not so long at this location, some of the other locations tend to have a really long wait. This especially applies on Saturdays and Sundays. The kids love Perkins, the French toast and the pancakes are always really good. They also have good Belgian waffle options. We love the biscuits and gravy as well as the burgers and fries. The staff at this location always seems to be happy and the service is always good. It's always clean and well taken care of and the atmosphere is nice.

Usually I have great service but I went in with my children on Tuesday. Staff kept walking by us and the women in front of us waiting to pay. We didn’t get sat, with a mostly empty restaurant or acknowledged for 7 mintues. Our waitress was off putting and not super friendly. She had a hard time making eye contact, she would take the order and abruptly walk away from everyone. We got our food and I didn’t have silverware (a waitresses first thing to get) and when I tried to wave her down she either ignored me or didn’t notice so I got our own. She didn’t check in on us after we got our food until I was almost done, and my kids stole my water because they were thirsty, so I went without. The manager on duty sat us, served us drinks and was great! Normally I have a great experience here. Would give this employee a little extra training.

Hands down, this place has the best bagels I've ever had. They offer a huge variety of bagels, and the real showstopper is their selection of in-house cream cheese spreads. My group tried five different combinations, and every single one was top-notch. Their coffee was amazing, too. They also sell some great local products, like lotions and body wash from "The Naked Bee." If you're driving through Rapid City, this is a must-stop for an unforgettable bagel.

A friend highly recommend this wonderful place and so glad we stopped for lunch time. Staff were warm and friendly also knowledgeable at the same time educate us on food from the menu. Food was fast,the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing. The food was over the hill good. I differently recommend anyone reading this take the time to stop here and have a wonderful meal or great coffee drinks.

We decided to make a stop after hiking in the Black Hills, and it was well worth it. Nothing is better than a savory bagel on an empty stomach. I ordered the Sassy Cowgirl and it was delicious! Bagel was toasted perfectly, so soft, and flavorful. I also loved the country vibes from the shop. Overall 10/10.

I ordered 3 bagel sandwiches to go and was pleasantly surprised to see them come in this cute little tote bag! The sandwiches were out of this world! I could barely finish half for breakfast and I had the other half for lunch. The staff are nice and patient. The inside has booths and tables. It’s a little dark but I think that’s the vibe. Good place to get souvenirs if you’re just passing through. We like reading all the funny stickers.

We stopped at Black Hills Bagels and had such a great experience! The service was fast, the bagels were absolutely delicious 😋, and we even got the cutest little delivery boys bringing out our order—such a sweet touch! 🥰 We also loved the adorable branded bag we received with our order. This place has charm, great food, and friendly service. We’ll definitely be back!

Really a gem of a restaurant! The nova salmon with cream cheese, onion and capers was so good I had two! Free parking lot. There are gifts for sale too. Wide menu. Friendly helpful staff. Enjoy!

Fast and friendly service. Food came out hot and wasn’t overly greasy. Cost of items not clearly posted, decent amount of “peek-a-boo” charges. Hangover burger was a letdown. Just a tiny dribble of hash browns on it. Ordered the potato soup with the burger instead of fries, got two charges for doing so even though the memo said soup or fries comes with the burger. Potato soup was nasty, wrong cheese or wrong amount of the right cheese gave the soup a very unappealing sour taste like it had gone bad. Country fried steak was on the tough side, to include the middle of the steak. Potato pancakes and the blueberry pancakes were great. Clean restaurant, staff was hard working; restaurant appeared understaffed.

Clean open Family atmosphere. Stopped in for dinner. Food was good and served in healthy portions. Desserts were plenty and tasty.

Arrived around 4pm for dinner and we were promptly seated. Loud rap music was emanating from the kitchen over the background music playing in the restaurant. Ordered roast turkey and mash potatoes. The food was cold, and generally un-appetizing. I saw no reason to ask them to heat the food. My wife's meal was much the same. The sever applied a 10% discount (the reason for the 2 rating).

This is a very bad Perkins location. Poor quality control, filthy restroom that clearly hadnt been cleaned in hours because the poop stains were crusted onto the seat. See photo of what the 15$ turkey dinner came out looking like. I'm just hoping my family and pregnant wife don't get sick from the clearly poor quality control

Perkins resembles a food experience that is no longer as in fashion as it once was. Similar to Denny's and Shoney's the decor, cleaning and layout of the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. The carpet was so filthy our shoes were sticking to it. Normally, I wouldn't have eaten here but we were tired after a long day on the road, and it was attached to our hotel. Our waitress was fantastic! She was attentive and so fun to talk to despite being busy. The food choices were basic but surprisingly well cooked and delicious. And I have to say, quite clean. It wasn't greasy or disgusting. The manager was kind and professional while very outgoing despite long hours. It surprises me to say; I would consider eating here again. WOW!

This Perkins is steadfast with great customer service and quality of food. We continue to come back because of the culture of respecting the customer and having great communication skills. Today, Alexis went out of her way to help us answer questions about ingredients and went above and beyond for making sure we had what we needed. First class. She has a bright future ahead of her wherever she may go. Mike is a fantastic manager that is running a well oiled machine. He makes it look easy, and we know how difficult of a job it is to run a good restaurant. Anytime there is a problem he quickly takes care so we have a good experience. Thank you Mike, Alexis, and all the other great staff members of Perkins on Elk Vale!

The server rushed me so much that she tried to take my food away while I was still eating. I was going to order something else to go but she passed by and pushed the check at me while walking away rapidly. Didn't ask me if I needed anything even once. My pancakes tasted like fish....so gross. I didn't eat them. I have been here before and she was great.....and I gave her a big tip.....not today. I never tip zero but once in a while, they don't deserve one, so I didn't leave her one. Sorry, not sorry.

Honestly, Starbucks is hit or miss. I wish the drinks would taste the same every time if you order them the same way. But alas, they do not. Some days, it's great. Other days, it's subpar. The pink drink is always good, though!

We really like this new Starbucks. Large store with plenty of indoor seating. Large covered outdoor patio. Large easy access parking lot. Staff is friendly and helpful. They remembered our names after only a few visits. Only issue is that they charge for water. Even for customers. Never heard of that before.

Did a mobile order- picked it up & the people inside were so rude! First they were doing drive thru orders instead of the mobile orders. Then they made green tea instead of black tea- when I told the barista (who was not wearing her Starbucks apron or name tag) she grabbed the two cups & tossed the drinks down the drain then said well now you will have to wait because I need to make more tea- I am very disappointed with the service as I come here every time I am in town. First time I have had such horrible service & my teas were not the best either. Sad face!

The baristas here are quick and friendly. I always chose this Starbucks over any other.

Just ordered 2 green tea lemonades with no sweetener. Pulled up to window and get notified that I no longer need to specify no sweetener. When I recieve drinks and leave it is then neither drink has any lemonade in them. Is this why you no longer need to specify no sweetener because you charge for green tea lemonade but only get green teas?

This is our favorite Starbucks location. They do a really good job at making consistent drinks. Their coffee always tastes smooth never tastes burnt. The breakfast sandwiches are always fresh and seem to be consistent. The parking can be a little tough at this location especially during rush hour so be prepared for an issue there. We always do the drive-thru and even though the line is long sometimes you can get through it pretty quick. The staff always seems friendly and happy to be at work. Unlike some locations they seem to always have plenty of people on staff.

my meal was the avocado toast with egg and a bowl of tomato bisque. my husband had the bisque and tuscan turkey sandwich. a $33 meal, but being a bistro meal- the price was expected. the bisque was VERY good! let me rephrase- ONLY the bisque was good. my avocado toast had such a tiny amount of avocado (see pic), they should eliminate “avocado “ from the name. the egg was also VERY cold, as was the toast. i tried my husbands focaccia bread and it was also VERY cold and i was unable to bite through the actual bread. sadly, while it had the potential to be a great well balanced meal- it feel so short. if i come again, i will get the soup only. GOOD soup.

Used to really like Dunn Brothers but I've had subpar experiences the last few times. I don't know if it was an off morning for the staff day or if they were short staffed, but that is my guess. I went through the drive thru and ordered a large iced vanilla nirvana and a breakfast burrito. After ordering (there was no one ahead of me in line) I sat at the window for at least five minutes before someone asked if I'd paid yet. I received my coffee at this time and after looking at it further, I believe I received the wrong size. The vanilla was barely noticeable. It took another ten minutes for me to get my food (which I could see in the bag on the counter for at least five minutes before I got it). Eight dollars for a burrito the size of my palm absolutely isn't worth the money. It tasted fine, but was way too small. Likely won't be back to this location again.

The staff is always very pleasant! The location is incredibly convenient with great access to drive thru or for parking. The atmosphere inside is very cozy and has a great vibe. They have a broad selection of coffe and tea drinks. Along with Red Bull drinks and many more. I really like their Nitro Brew. The pastries and food menu is also incredibly delicious! Such a broad range of options. Great meeting place throughout the day. The German Chocolate Steamed Nirvana is one of my favorites. I also love the Avocado Toast!! The hibiscus tea is a great alternative when not feeling like coffee.

I go here way more than I should but I can’t say I regret it. It’s a great spot for breakfast/lunch or a coffee catch up with friends. Staff here is always so incredibly kind and the coffee and food is fresh and delicious. If you’re visiting the Black Hills and want to enjoy a local favorite, make time for Dunn brothers! Everything is delicious but don’t forgo the naan pizzas, any of the toasts and the steamed chocolate nirvana drink

I absolutely loved everything about this coffee shop/cafe! the inside was super modern and is a great spot to study, work or just catch up with a friend. The staff was super polite and helpful and they were very friendly as well! I wasn’t sure how good the food would be since it was a coffee shop but it was actually so flavorful and filling. I had to come back the next day because i was craving it again!

This is the best coffee place in Rapid. Breakfast burritos. Good. Avocado toast. Good. Pizza. Good. Employees. Good. Iced vanilla nirvana. Amazing. I go there every time I get a chance and so should you.

*UPDATE* I would give the coffee 5 stars and the breakfast food 2 stars. Ordered avocado toast today, and besides messing up the order, it was cold, lacked flavor and was just not very good. Disappointed in their food again. My wife and I were looking to get breakfast on a Sunday morning. All the diners were packed and we stumbled upon Dunn Brothers, which we were pleased to find! The coffee was FANTASTIC! I had a nitro vanilla cold brew and it was amazing. The breakfast sandwich I had was egg, sausage, cheese on a crossaint with avocado and spinach. It was pretty good, but nothing great. Overall good experience, I'd definitely go back, especially for that nitro vanilla!

Here’s what you get for a $12 salad. The portion size seems to depend on who’s working that day, and no one checks the orders. Very inconsistent and disappointing.

Food was great but the Citrus Punch tasted like it had gone off, it straight up tasted fermented and almost like it had an edge of alcohol to it. Please drain and clean your bubblers and don't just mix the old stuff with the new stuff otherwise you guys will be selling wine sooner or later.

Im getting really tired of my order getting delivered to me wrong. Its either im missing my side item or dessert, but now im given the incorrect soup. This is insane how many times I have to deal with these mistakes. Please fix whatever is wrong cause im about to stop ordering from here in general. For reference I ordered a cheddar broccoli soup and got something else.

Eight dollars for a bowl of soup. I say thank you twice. There is no training for these people working to say thank you. In fact, I wonder exactly what training they’ve had and maybe not. Every one of them is like that I have experienced it with two. Customer service is rough and those prices are ridiculous

Everything is getting annoyingly hectic in this restaurant and it is beyond limits of acceptable errors! They are always out of "main" ingredients like lettuce, tomatoea, cucumber, avocado and they give you half of the salad bowl with whatever green stuff can be tossed in! Do NOT even bother to go to there or place an order during lunch time because your lunch will not be served during your lunch time! Probably you can get it and eat it for dinner time because they are total failure in management and staffing side! They are always short on staff, and ingredients!!! I lost at least three lunch times and had to go back to my work without having a lunch because of their terrible management and poor service! My comment is not for the store staff, it is directly for the managers and headquarters! The staff is overworking and they are also desperately in need of help and better management!! It is sad to see my favorite restaurant is going down and becoming a food service fraud!

Awful. 730am. Only person in the place. Stood there waiting, finally someone came up and I asked about the breakfast menu. So she switched the menu boards, then began sweeping. I stood there watching her sweep by the register. Then walk away. Come back with dust pan and continued sweeping. Finally, 5 minutes later she takes my order. I wait...wait..15 min goes by and the lady making my food says "do we have any egg whites?" Manager says "no" So it was going to be longer for my sandwich! Do better! I was your only customer! Got a credit and left. So much for breakfast before work today.

This place is so bad it's almost unbelievable. I received a notification that my order was ready, so I went in and waited by the pick up area because no one was around. Finally after about 15 minutes a girl rudely asked "are you looking for someone?" When I told here I was here for a pick up order, she said "um it's sitting over here..." Behind the counter where I can't even see. And the she tossed the bag onto the counter. I get back to our hotel, and the cookies aren't there, and the "salad" had no lettuce at all. It showed online they were out of romane, but that mixed greens were still in stock so I selected that. I got a container of 4 pieces of chicken and some salad toppings. I called the store back to see if I could at LEAST run back and pick up the cookies for my kids, the girl said "sorry we're closed" and hung up. At 8:40pm. This place was terrible, I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. $60 and still had to go get food somewhere else.

Went to the Starbucks in Rushmore crossing asking for a cortado in a grande cup. Waited 15 for my coffee and my boyfriend’s in a rush. Put random syrups in and oat milk. Yet a regular cortado is Blonde ristretto shots and whole milk. Went in 3 times no money back and the same drink made everytime telling baristas the exact drink 5 times.

When you're in Rapid City for a minute because of bad news and you hit Starbucks at 6 AM in a bad way but a good mood... the girls were matching energy + a level... they get my vote good job ladies appreciate y'all! Saturday, August 25, 5:56 AM🤙🏾

Stopped by for two drinks. At the window, was asked for a tip before receiving anything, which always feels a bit awkward — especially in a drive-thru setting where tipping isn’t typically (or shouldn’t be) expected. Shortly after, one of the drinks was spilled — unfortunately, all over my spouse. Thankfully, it was iced coffee and not hot. The replacement drink was noticeably off — it looked more like creamer with just a splash of coffee. The hot grande latte also had a visible gap between the drink and the top of the cup, making it feel short of a full pour. This situation isn’t typical when we do go here, but some things could have been handled differently. This visit missed the mark in both service and drink quality.

This is the place I was definitely wont be back here for awhile the reason because I was asking them don't, add the vanilla syrup into my coffee otherwise I get Crump in my stomach but I was only asking them that's only thing and then soon I was receiving my coffee holy cow the cup was crazy light. I can't not even feel the coffee into my cup . And then I was open the cup I was realize my cup is only half cup left so coolI have No idea what is happening but I was not happy about it. At all. I was actually very disappointed 😞 😔

Today was not the best experience I've had with this Starbucks on 1734 Eglin St. 😕 they didn't have proper change. I thought I would be kind and take the rolls of coins. But I immediately regretted it cause the service was rude about the cake pops I ordered 😒 they did not give me the cake pops. She believed she did and said i set them right here and pointed to the counter. I said no, I didn't get my cake pops. But she continued to say it's okay, you can have 2 more. Like, really? I'm an honest person, I have no reason to steal freaking cake pops nor lie about it. On top of all that, they shorted me $$ cause they didn't have proper change. I'll pray for them.

I'm not sure why your macchiato has no coffee again, but I'm done with this coffee shop. The place was messy, sticky tables and seats everywhere. Girl mopping was rude. Customer service and quality apparently don't exist here.

Really wish this location would get it together instead of making me wait 20 mins for every single DoorDash order I pick up from you. You guys making money off the platform the same way you are from in store and drive thru orders. Prioritize them properly.

For many years my goto meal at Taco John's has been the Super Burrito and Potato Oles. That will probably change after today. The Oles were as good as ever, but the Super Burrito I had today could hardly be called Super. It seemed like it was half the size it's been in the past, with plenty of room left in the tortilla. I took it back to the counter and they confirmed that it was indeed a Super Burrito. The times they are a changing.

This is really disappointing as this is normally my go to taco John's location. Why is it when employees see "No" *food item* they immediately think to add, and crazy amount of it. My boss ordered me food through doordash and as you can see on the receipt, it says NO LETTUCE, NO TOMATOES, the first burrito escaped the tomato but had like extra lettuce, and the second it covered in both. Really? Do better, please.

The positives are that service was fast and friendly, and they filled my order correctly. That's better than many fast-food establishments. The dining room was a little bit dirty, and the tables and chairs were worn. My food -- nachos -- looked like it was prepared by poorly trained monkeys. The ingredients were thrown in the general direction of the tray. Most, but not all of the ingredients hit the tray and remainded inside it. What remained tasted okay. I personally like Taco John's, but this location isn't as good as other Taco John's locations that I've visited. Frankly, it's a step down from Taco Bell. They can do better.

Had a terrible experience at Taco Bell tonight so we went to taco John’s and had such a great experience we had to ask the drive thru worker his name. He said his name is Jake. Great job! Made our night better!

Forgot dressing for salad again, even when I specifically asked the rude lady working the second drive through. She said it was in there. Mary at the first window was super nice and friendly. I called the manager because this has happened several times, was left on hold for 6 minutes so I just hung up. This place has went downhill for some reason :(

burritos were very tiny, almost the same size as a cheese rollup. was not worth the money this time around, definitely under portioning the food $20 for two burritos and a griller is expensive for getting the same amount of meat as a softshell taco :( wouldve asked for a remake but i don’t want anyone to spit in my food lol

Bathrooms are guarded under lock and key, and the employees take their assigned protection duty very seriously. They reluctantly allowed a child to use the restroom because they couldn’t be certain that she purchased something. The food was mushy and slightly cold, despite taking quite a while to be “prepared”. Certainly glad we were only passing through and won’t ever be at risk of being repeat customers.

I love Taco Johns, but this particular location gets your order wrong a solid half of the time. I get the same thing every time I come through, a sausage breakfast burrito meal. Legitimately 50% of the time I get something else. I feel like this isn't a difficult order. Nothing special, just a burrito, oles, and a drink. A number 2. Still can't manage. I was the only person there this morning, somehow got a random order.

First time here. We like it. A step up.. well maybe sideways from taco bell. Love the tots and cheese dip. Inside reminds me of a krystals. Choicenof music tells me they don't know their customers. We shall return. See our YouTube channel at Coolest Life.

From out of town. Craving a taco and saw Taco John's. Pleasantly surprised at price, $5 for 2 chicken tacos. Food was yummy, service was excellent, and dining area needed swept but otherwise is clean and kept up. Worth every penny! Give it a try I'm sure you'll be as pleased as I was eating here.

Taco Johns in RC, SD consistently cuts portion sizes on specials including Taco Tuesday and now the buy one super burrito get one for a dollar. Barely enough ingredients to make one burrito. Had the exact same order on 3/22/24 in Hot Springs, SD and could barely finish them. I have been eating at Taco Johns since 1977 so I think I can tell the difference from their "specials" to the normal menu items. Too bad, I normally enjoy Taco Johns!

I've eaten at every Taco John's location in RC and this is one of the best. The ladies working were friendly and the restaurant was nice and clean. Overall, great service and food.

5/31/25 @ 9:41 am. Took 12 min to get 2 burritos and a small ole. The woman who made the food and then handed me the bag to go didn’t say a word. Not sorry about the wait, thank you or have a good day. You decide if that’s great customer service or not.

We ordered two California breakfast flatbreads, a kiwi quencher smoothie, a Bahama mama smoothie, and an all-chia oatmeal bowl with Nutella drizzle for takeout. To my surprise, despite my initial apprehension that the meal would not provide sufficient sustenance, I found myself feeling remarkably satiated. The food was of exceptional quality and the service was warm and friendly. The establishment consistently maintains a welcoming atmosphere, and the menu features a wide selection of fresh and highly recommended dishes.

I had ordered online at 220, put it for pick up at 3. I showed up 15 mins ahead of time and was told they didn't have the order yet, and wanted to see my phone for a receipt. "Kidding me" so I walk out to my car, grab my phone and show the guy and by that time my order was back there. My food was hot and delicious, and loved my smoothie. But they should really fix their online order system, crazy It pops up 10 minutes ahead of time.

Came in in search of a bathroom while my phone was being repaired next door. After looking at the menu, I decided to get a smoothie... forget about Orange Julius or DQ....this was hands down one of the best smoothies I've had, including ones I've made at home. Ingredients were fresh. The staff was super helpful and kind, even given they were closing in minutes. I didn't feel rushed at all. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a healthy refreshment for any part of their day. If I lived in Rapid and went to the gum, I'd be stopping daily for my does of "sunshine in a shake".

Rude. These kids need to be reminded about customer service. They didn’t say greet me and went straight to “what can I get you?” They weren’t busy either, I don’t understand. They were busy talking about somebody or something.

Terrible Service and No Accountability I placed an order with Tropical Smoothie Cafe only to find out they were CLOSED when I arrived to pick it up. No notice, no heads-up — just locked doors and no staff in sight. I’ve gone back FOUR times trying to get this resolved, and still no refund, no food, no apology. This is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of customer care or business responsibility. If you’re going to take people’s money, at least be open when you say you are — or issue a refund when you’re not. Won’t be returning, and I’ll be telling others to avoid this location too.

when I arrive there, there was only a staff at the counter yesterday, he is really patient really busy. I appreciate him a lot, he needs to take care of so much stuff, but still really nice. met my needs and smile all the time. hope he is doing well! due to the lack of the staffs, table is not clean, the line is long though.

This place is terrible. There is a blonde headed chick that works here and she is so rude and snobby every single time you order I thought it was just a one time thing and maybe she was just having a bad day but definitely not it every time you order, She’s snobby. She is to worried about talking about her personal life with her other coworkers then she is about serving good customer service.

We love this Starbucks location. It's conveniently located inside a Target which is very convenient when you have a little bit of shopping to do. We like to get a coffee before we wander around Target. The baristas are all very friendly here and knowledgeable. Are drinks are consistently good, they don't tend to end up too sweet here like they do at some of the Starbucks locations. There can be a line on weekends, but it generally moves fast. This Starbucks is a great addition to our target!

Best starbucks ever! I travel all the time and the starbucks right here at home is the best! They know me by name and what I drink. They are beyond personable and if I could give them a thousand stars I would!

Awesome place. Usually the only place I go in town. Never have a bad drink from them. All friendly and personable especially when I bring my corgi mix Zooey with me.

This location is on a College campus inside the school library. It does NOT deliver, never has. It does NOT offer anything other than breakfast and lunch Bagel sandwiches, breakfast burritos, hash browns, hot and cold beverages and some sweets like cookies and muffins. The hours here are 7am to 330pm, they DO NOT close early unless it's due to a safety issue or equipment failure. There are ALWAYS 2 or more workers present during regular business hours. Parking is not free, and there is NO drive thru here, never has been.

The atmosphere is wonderful and the workers are cooperative. The quality of the baked goods here is indescribable. It was a good experience. Thank you and I always wish you success.

I just had a turkey bacon avocado bagel and two coffee's from here! It was sooo delicious! Highly recommend!! Amazing food and excellent service!!

It was 2 pm when I went in. On the website and on their door it says they're open till 3:30 pm. When I went in there they told me they were closed. Open sign and everything so I don't know if they were really closer, they just didn't want to serve any customers. Also it was 5 minutes 2 they should have been able to take my order.

I have been a loyal customer since the location has opened, they advertise fresh brewed flavored coffee on their website but unfortunately for the past few times I have went in, they have yet to provide this item with the excuse that it was only served till 10 am, but I was there at 9am. Today I went in for breakfast and a flavored coffee before 8 am and asked why they did not have a brewed flavor today and the young boy rudely told me that it was not his decision. A successful business in my opinion caters to paying customers and if they advertise an item they should always try to have it for the customers who enjoy it.

Ordered the All Nighter off of door dash and was extremely disappointed in what we received. There was one layer of egg which is definitely not what was advertised. I have had this sandwich at Caribou Coffee and it was exactly what was advertised. I will definitely be taking my business there from now on. At least I know I will received what is advertised and know that it will be worth the price.

My drink was watery and no flavor at all and wanted to take it back but the manager wanted everyone who road with me to resolve my order SMH 🙄 I gather with family when we are not busy working or in between work. we spend time together we have our own lives and I could not gather my family together again! that evening so so that I could get new drink replacement. So never got a great tasting drink on a hot day!

Iced green tea with cream and honey and they didn't have enough tea they just topped it with cream and half of my drink was foam . Asked them to fix it nicely and they were irritated also the honey wasn't melted in so none of the honey was even part of the drink. Very expensive for not getting a full drink

Great coffee and service. The parking is very tight and it's hard to get out of if you park. That being said, we wanted our coffee bad enough to make it work.

This is the best Starbucks I’ve been to, YES THE BEST IN THE WORLD. The service was phenomenal, Katie was the best barista I ever seen, she was clear and fast. 👍🏼

Last few times I’ve gone the pizza bagels have been terrible. They used to be crispy with perfectly melted cheese. Lately they appear to have thrown in a microwave and come out incredibly greasy and doughy. And to top it off I ordered a large hot drink and they only filled it 2/3’s of the way. Wouldn’t recommend anymore.

Awful! Extremely dissatisfied. I am not usually one to write reviews. But this experience was lack luster at best. I placed an order ahead to be ready for pickup at 7:30 for 12 bagels sandwiches. When I got there at 7:32 they had not even started making it. Then one worker proceeded to make them all while others just stood around and watched. I expressed that I was in a hurry. Now I’m running late for an important meeting because of their poor planning. What is the point of placing an order ahead. Never again!!!

Foods always very good, service is okay. Never been inside but every time I go through the drive through it take 20 minutes for 2 sandwiches. Recommend ordering ahead, it's alot faster. They had forgotten to add bacon to my sandwich last time and I had gone inside to ask for some bacon and the, staff were teenagers, I got called "just a bit silly" for wanting the missing bacon 😂 I suppose lol. I'm not sure what that means, but i got my bacon😂

The food is great but the service sucks. They put extra stuff in our bag so we thought it wasn’t our order. We brought it up to them to trade out, and we weren’t upset. The blonde chick that helped us was so rude. She explained to me that they put the muffins in there as extra. I said oh, got ya! Thanks. She sneered and shut her little drive thru window on us. If you’re going to get food here, I recommend using DoorDash.

Super regular eater there. Lately the bacon is more like Prosciutto, the sausage is pressed and dry. Never used to be this way. The bagel sandwich is now not cut and the ingredients are on half, smear vary's from 1/2mm to 2cm's. Owner, go spend some time there please. *UPDATE* 4/11 no response from Einstein Bagel Owner. That answers that.

I love going here for breakfast but I did not love getting home with my order today and seeing a large portion of my bagel burnt... I wasn't informed or offered the option of a new one, I would have been more than happy to wait for a new one to be made, just disappointing, seems like nobody cares. Already submitting to the Einstein Bros website. I just thought people should be aware.

i got an iced latte and a hot coffee from here and both were really good. they were a little more expensive than what i would typically pay for. the only issue was the iced latte was super sweet and kinda warm. when making their iced lattes they should stir in the flavor and then add the ice and move it around and push it to the bottom so the whole drink is cold. other than that tho it was good and the staff was really nice.

The sandwich I had was delicious! The ingredients were fresh and the bread was tasty. Our group all appreciated the bread not being light instead of the nap inducing dense bread that’s so common. The coconut cream pie was so fresh and well made that we all ate more of it than we should’ve! It’s a little counter order style bistro attached to a lighting store, when we first walked in we thought we’d made a mistake but we were very happy we gave it a shot. The food was excellent and out to us really fast. The staff was very friendly.

I had a wonderful dining experience at The Bestro! I tried the Italian salad, and it was absolutely delicious — fresh, crisp, and bursting with vibrant flavors. The ingredients were perfectly balanced, making it a refreshing and satisfying choice. The staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. The cozy atmosphere added to the overall great experience.

This was our first time checking out this lunch spot and I have been craving a good quality lunch sandwich and they did not disappoint! It was so fresh so tasty and the customer service was amazing! We also got a big glass of ice water, a piece of carrot cake and a Caesar salad and everything was fantastic. The price of the sandwich was about $14 so it’s a little high but considering the ingredients were very very high-quality I’m OK with it. I will definitely be back again. I will probably bring my work laptop and do some work there because the atmosphere is really nice as well.

Stop at this place while we got our tires fixed to head out of town and it was nice and lovely. The staff was polite and walked up through how to order and explained everything we needed to know. Now I see why they were busy when we stopped in! Thank for the experience.

Visit the Bestro over lunch last week in hopes of findings a great soup and sandwich shop. I ordered the Italian sandwich toasted and my husband ordered the BLT and an Italian soda. The lady at the register was not in the best mood and acted like taking our order was a chore. When the sandwiches arrived the Italian was decent. The BLT however had the thinnest precooked bacon 🥓 and for $14 you would expect fresh cooked bacon. The Italian soda was also not very flavorful. Overall it’s alright, wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there again.

Great hidden gem. Fresh food, large menu and reasonable prices. I love their sandwiches and matcha! If you eat too much you can go right into the light store and walk it off!

My husband and I visit Rapid City occasionally, so we always make a point to visit the Bestro! The food is home cooked, and made with love. Yummy!! The staff has been kind and accommodating to our needs. It’s easy to communicate questions or concerns with the staff. The portions of food are large, so I always need a to-go box! I enjoy the relaxed cafe style seating.

I got the medium , (sugar-free Carmalicious ) Cold Blended espresso , it was absolutely delicious , A most yummy Refreshing sip! We also grabbed the NEW “. Oatmeal Creme cookie version cold blended espresso, it was also a most delicious sip! It was like drinking one of your favorite cookies! 🍪 Yum, doesn’t get better than that😬 These are must tries folks you gotta get in and get these delicious drinks👏

TAKE WIDE TURNS!!!! Foods alright but if you want a destroyed fender/bumper/frame go to this place! Coming right up a loose engine mount! Drive through has a major drop off where you can see multiple people have ran into this. Put a sign on the corner or make it a smooth transition to the drive through line. This place has ruined many cars and will continue to do so if not addressed.

I remember the first time I saw snow. I was seven, standing barefoot on the porch of a rented house in northern Vermont, watching my breath curl into little ghosts while the sky dropped white silence on everything. My mother was inside, burning cinnamon sticks in a saucepan like she always did when we didn’t have enough money for actual dessert, and my father was already gone, though I didn’t know then that he wouldn’t be coming back. That house had slanted floors and windows that whistled when the wind hit them just right. I used to pretend the house was singing to me. Later, much later, I would learn that houses only sing when you're small enough to believe in that kind of thing. College happened the way an accident happens: suddenly and with paperwork. I studied anthropology, mostly because I liked the idea of brushing dirt off of something important. After graduation I moved to Portland with three friends and a Honda Civic that barely made it past Pennsylvania. We lived on instant noodles and the kinds of dreams you scribble on bar napkins at 2 AM. One of us became a nurse. One of us went back home. One of us disappeared after a trip to Guatemala. I stayed. Years passed the way they always do when you’re not paying attention. I got jobs and lost them. Fell in love with a woman who played the violin like she was trying to make the air remember something. We broke up in a train station in Denver and I haven’t seen her since, but sometimes I swear I hear her bow in the whistle of incoming freights. I’ve worked construction, taught middle school English, sold hand-carved spoons at farmers markets. Once, I slept in the back of a used bookstore for an entire summer. The owner let me stay in exchange for cataloging obscure biographies and feeding the cat, which had only one eye and an unfortunate habit of peeing on Russian literature. I say all this because there’s a rhythm to life, a way everything threads together even when it doesn’t make sense. Like waking up one day and finding yourself here, of all places, with the light just right through the window and a song you haven’t heard since childhood playing softly from a corner speaker. It’s funny how it all leads somewhere, even if you’re not sure where you were headed to begin with. Oh yeah, I forgot, this coffee shop was pretty good. 5 stars.

Repeated issues with paying for extra cream in my drinks and then not receiving extra cream. I have to triple check I’m getting the extra cream I’m paying for every time and I’ll be told there is extra cream in the drink while it looks like there is borderline none. This is not even to mention the fact that I order the same drink the same way every time and the price is always different. Sometimes I pay $8 sometimes $9.50 sometimes even $10.50.

Great coffee!!! I got the the Turtle Latte and my girlfriend got the S'mores Latte. Both were exceptional! I'd say it's MUCH better than the national chain that everyone seems to get. If you're looking for great tasting coffee that doesn't taste burnt or has tons of sugary syrups added, give this a try! I 👉👉 WILL 👈👈 get this again!!!!

The food was decent. Usual Taco Bell flavors. Took quite some time for my food to come out. The dining area wasn’t very clean. They seemed to streamline everything which is convenient but takes the personable service aspect away from the experience.

Worst service I have ever experienced. We ordered dine-in, a decent amount of food including the cinnamon twists separately. When our order arrived, they were not on the tray. We politely asked for them, and the woman at the counter with teal hair rudely said they were in the luxe box, which was incorrect; they were not in the box. How hard is it to just get fair service anymore.

I stayed at the Baymont across the street for a few days and ate here three times through the drive-thru over three days. Every single time I asked for hot sauce, TWICE NO hot sauce of any kind in the bag -- yes, shame on me for not digging through the pile of tacos to look through it at the bottom of the bag -- but, seriously how hard is this? Additionally twice they gave me the regular tacos versus the Supreme that I had ordered (and PAID for) -- again, I guess shame on me for not digging my fingers into the tacos looking for sour cream? I was there at fairly slow times and I was the only car in the Drive-Thru so I just don't get it beyond utter laziness, pure inattention, and pretty weak managerial oversight. Additionally, staff has no idea about what is gluten-free or not. Unsuprisingly, the cheese sauce is NOT gluten free, but definitely surprisingly that the fries themselves are also NOT gluten free. Who seasons their plain fries with wheat flour in this day and age? Whoever is running this Taco Bell probably should be replaced or sent for retraining -- they are utterly failing to teach and monitor their staff on simple things like, yeah, you put the sauce in the bag. The ignorance on gluten-free issues I can understand (although less so in recent years) but just another strike against whoever is running this rather lame branch of a chain I typically enjoy. In the future I will make the more inconvenient drive down the street to Taco John's and see if I fare batter. I doubt I can fare worse.

Taco Johns? more like taco buns! Today I got taco John’s. I was so excited to have my burrito WITHOUT onions. Me and my Twin sister. I’m so excited as I go to take my first bite of my burrito. Keep in mind the rapper had a sticker that said “no” and obviously, you would think that means no onions. Me and my twin sister go to take a bite of our burritos that are not supposed to have onions in them because we are allergic. DEADLY allergic. And all of a sudden, I feel this crunchy, horrible tasting clear square in my mouth, and I immediately spit out. This is why I would call taco John’s taco buns. This is why I’ve always liked Taco Bell better.

Bought 2 jr breakfast burritos each about an ounce. Eggs tasted like a tire. 7.50 for less than 1 dollar of edible food. Never aga8n TJ and not even 1 napkin to remove the shame

Today when I Got taco John’s I was so excited to get my burrito without onions. But I took my first two bites of my burrito and realize that there’s a crunchy horrible tasting clear thing in my burrito. And guess what it was. AN ONION. Never going again.

All the stores in Rapid need to have this same layout. Big and clean. My burritos were actually made very well. It was great.

His amiable demeanor and welcoming energy are truly noteworthy. Having managed restaurants for 25 years, I can attest to the rarity of encountering such outstanding individuals. Excellent work.

My daughter and I absolutely love tropical smoothie cafe and we don’t have one where we live so we were super excited to see rapid city had one upon our first visit I asked a stupid question and the gal laughed with me and the next morning she remembered us and my order! We will be back Daily while visiting! Delicious food and smoothies! Great employees!

I come in fairly regularly as I work nearby. Love the large variety of sugar free flavors. My only complaint is that the coffee isn’t very hot, even when ordering extra hot it’s drinkable but sure doesn’t take long to get cold. Would love to be able to get it hotter.

A coffee shop that doesn't have coffee at 7:45am. After waiting 10 minutes for a black coffee, I was told that it was going to be a while because they had to roast the beans. Not grind the beans. Not brew the coffee. Roast the beans. I couldn't believe it. Maybe you should open with that before someone waits around in your COFFEE shop for 10 minutes. We will not be going back. Like so many other businesses these days, I doubt a chain like Ziggi's cares about one persons opinion. Fortunately, a very close friend of ours has a MASSIVE social media presence.

At first it didn’t seem like they offered simple coffee. Then I saw the latte menu listed at the very top. Was told the 16oz comes with two espresso shots. Ordered that and it was very good. Staff is friendly.

Never been to a place that struggles so hard to listen. You repeat my order back to me, twice, and still can't get a simple cup of coffee made right. Why ask what I want and repeat it back to me to only do what you want anyways??? Life's tough. Do better with your flavored water and hiring.

Gluten free options!!! We were visiting the Black Hills region from out of state and needed to find our morning coffee/breakfast before our day started. I am gluten sensitive so usually have to forego food items. But what a surprise to find that they have a gluten free breakfast sandwich and pastries! The other major chain we're all familiar with doesn't have any gluten free breakfast sandwiches or pastries. The breakfast burritos that everyone else ordered were really good also. There are lots of different drink options other than coffee, and I chose a citrus sunburst refresher to help keep me hydrated for our day of touring. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. Meghan gave us tips for our travels and even brought our food out on plates to our table. The space is clean and accommodating. Most important, the bathrooms were spotless which is always a pleasant surprise. We don't have this coffee chain where we live, but it would be nice to have one. It's always nice to try out different places when we are traveling. I highly recommend a visit, especially for gluten free/sensitive people.

I love the sizes of their iced coffees, but every time we come through, they get our orders wrong. We have allegies to regular milk. I am specifically asking for almond milk in my drinks... We live clear out to Box Elder (and I forget to check the receipt ), but every time, they either make our drinks with regular milk or chocolate milk. When we order the person(s), taking our order repeats our order, saying, "Almond milk," and we assure her, but the order is wrong each time. 🤦🏽‍♀️ but we have no time to go back because we are nowhere near Ziggys. I will start making it a point to check.

I ordered a 24oz iced Carmel macchiato. The drink was strong and they had oat milk to accommodate me with my lactose intolerant self.

Visited Koyote Coffee on vacation, this was my first visit and I really enjoyed this cup of coffee on a cold, rainy morning. First impressions: they were very friendly, smiled a lot, and were patient as we looked over a new menu. The atmosphere wasn't super cozy, but they had tables, booths, a combination of the two, and a bar looking out the window. If I need to get a little work done, I would feel comfortable here. They also have a drive thru but we opted to go inside. Restroom was very clean and well maintained. I have nothing negative to say, the only hold up to me was the restaurant seating makes it feel more commercial rather than most coffee shops that offer some comfy seating that embraces a more relational atmosphere. Loved my latte and my son loved his smoothie. After trying several different coffee shops around town for the last 10 days, Koyote Koffee was my favorite coffee shop for flavor. Keep up the great work!

I love this coffee shop, it’s convenient, the coffee is amazing, food is also amazing, the owner is amazing, my problem is several employees are very dull, I don’t expect the bubbliest human alive to give me coffee but I always end up leaving feeling awkward and judged by a two of the morning employees. It seems the presence of customers just ruins their whole day. I get it, I’ve worked customer service for many many years it’s not the most fun job out their, but you just got to fake it until you make it and there is zero effort from these girls to even greet their customers. The customers didn’t ruin the employees day but the employees sure didn’t do anything to make anyone’s day better.

I adore this coffee shop—it’s my go-to cozy hideaway in the winter. The vibes, the coffee, the whole mood? Chef’s kiss. But come summer… whew! It turns into a bit of a latte-scented sauna. I’m all for a warm atmosphere, but I don’t want to melt with my mocha. Please, someone show the thermostat some love—your customers (and our sweaty foreheads) will thank you!

Love that they have my favorite drink, and I could have fun creating my own flavor of it. Staff was very nice and helpful. Very beautiful place, inside and out.

The coffee shop is very clean and tidy. It is quiet and a good place to get some work done and be productive. The coffee is pretty good as well as the food, and everything is well-priced compared to other shops in the area. One thing that really needs to be improved upon is the customer service. No polite greeting once you walk in, no polite greeting or helpfulness during ordering. I was sitting and doing some work and the worker came into my space and started sweeping around me, felt like she was telling me to leave with over an hour and a half before close. I smiled at one employee who was wiping some tables off and got nothing but a side eye. The workers just seem like they dont want to be here, and are not very friendly at all. I may come again through the drive-thru but will not be stopping into the shop again.

I visited Koyote Koffee on my vacation this summer. Their coffee was not only amazing it was made correctly and finished in less than 5 minutes. I had their vanilla latte, very hot and foamy. The cozy atmosphere was so cute. They had string lights and comfy chairs. The merchandise was good quality also.

Delicious coffee, friendly staff. Lattes were delicious! My husband tried the western breakfast burrito and said it was fresh, delicious, and filling. He also enjoyed the blueberry muffin!
