Beach
Lone Bay is a stunning coastal gem located just over a kilometer from the heart of Rovinj, making it easily accessible for both locals and visitors. This picturesque beach is nestled within the lush surroundings of Zlatni Rt park, where fragrant pines and Mediterranean flora create an enchanting backdrop. The beach itself features a delightful mix of pebbles and rocks, complemented by crystal-clear waters that are perfect for swimming and snorkeling adventures.
Nice rocky areas to paddle in and sometimes rock pool. The view out over Rovinj is nice
Tim W — Google review
Nice beach under the trees. Paid toilets and parking (10 minutes walk through the park). Nice view.
Verdict M — Google review
Very nice beach with clear water. 10 mins from parking (30kn/day, 5kn/hour), you can rent a beach chair for 55 kn/day. Good selection of drinks at the bar, nice and clean toilet. Would recommend!
Martina K — Google review
Expected more based on the reviews. The view to Rovinj is great, water itself was kind of rusty and not so clear. Beach is with small pebbles with sharp edges, seem like construction material. There are sunbeds, plastic for 45 kuna, bamboo for 150 kuna, sorry but it is not worth it having in mind the self service and the cigarette buds between the rocks. Nice walk through the park to get to the beach is around 10-12 minutes. After 15 the beach is on a shade and there is no sun.
Kris T — Google review
One of my favorites in Rovigno, just go earlier if you want to have a better spot! I recommend around 9am, 9.30. 😊
Marija K — Google review
at the beginning of the beach it is very touristy, perfect for families with children. if you are looking for a quiet place don't be afraid to walk to the end of the street. Worth it. it is a perfect snorkeling beach with few visitors
Tim B — Google review
Main beach of the city. It's crowded but you will always find a place on the rocks. Beach 90% rock and 10% gravel. You can rent some beach beds. There is a bar in the middle of the beach. Water is stunningly beautiful, crystal clear. The temperature it's also good. The beach it's located 20 mins walk from the city centre.
Nicoló R — Google review
The view over Rovinj is beautiful, but today the smelly sea is full of organic waste and oil. Better not to think where it came all from😅😂🤣. The sea is very disgust. Dead under the surface. A typical example of where milking nature to the max leads😓. 👎 #nevermore

State park
Dog Beach Amarin is a stunning Blue Flag beach with pebbles and rocks, boasting clean azure waters. The area offers various visitor amenities such as cafes, swimming pools, lifeguards, showers, changing rooms, and campsites. Dogs are welcome in designated areas. While it may be a bit far from the Amarin complex, it's quieter and less crowded.
The location was at the end of the resort area, and a bit of a walk, but it was still a nice beach for our dogs to play at. I was happy that there was a place for the dogs, as the normal beaches get crowded and dogs aren’t allowed during normal hours. The camping resort was very dog friendly and there were many pets around. Everyone had their dogs on a leash, and they were all very respectful. There are no poop bags provided, so be sure to bring your own.
Steven H — Google review
(Translated by Google) Unfortunately a bit very far from the Amarin complex. But it is also much quieter and not so crowded. It's easy to see the best way to start swimming with your four-legged friend. But here too, be careful when entering the sea. The rock is very slippery and swimming shoes are a must.

Beach
Cisterna Beach, located seven kilometers south of Rovinj, is a picturesque destination with its soft pebbly shore and clear turquoise waters. The beach is ideal for families due to its flat entrance to the sea and clean surroundings. Surrounded by Mediterranean macchia and native oak trees, Cisterna Beach offers a serene and remote setting that provides a quiet escape with beautiful views, especially at sunset. Visitors can enjoy the calm waters for activities like paddleboarding and wading.
Beautiful and secluded beach. We stayed here for more than 3 hours and waited for the sun to set. Would recommend wearing beach slippers as the rocks are too sharp on your foot. The water was warm, and I could really take a nice dip. There is also a bar at the beach but it was closed when we went (May). Definitely recommend going and having a serene and calm experience
Aditya I — Google review
Not a lot of people in September. But entrance is not so smooth / for little kids not friendly. And there are big stones so you have to take on special shoes. For couples - great. For families - not really
Łukasz J — Google review
Good secluded beach with clear, clean waters and a hidden gem. It is a big stone beach, not a pebble beach, so lying around is not easy and navigating in the water with massive stones can be tricky. It is a dog friendly beach, so your four legged friend can go for dip. Nice views. There is ample space to park and a beach bar for refreshments. Excellent location to watch the sun go down. Three stars as it is tough going to walk on or along or in the water. Elderly people risk a fall.
Ranjith L — Google review
Cisterna Beach, located near Rovinj in Croatia, is a picturesque destination known for its clear waters and natural beauty. The beach is primarily composed of pebbles, with some rocky and stone slab areas, offering a variety of spots for sunbathing and swimming. The sea bathing water quality is excellent, making it a popular choice for visitors seeking a refreshing dip. The surrounding area is characterized by lush greenery and Mediterranean vegetation, providing a tranquil environment for relaxation. While the beach is relatively secluded, it is accessible by foot or boat, adding to its charm. For those interested in exploring the local area, the nearby town of Rovinj offers a rich cultural experience with its historic old town, vibrant markets, and a variety of dining options. Overall, Cisterna Beach is an ideal spot for travelers seeking a peaceful retreat amidst natural beauty, with the added benefit of being close to the cultural attractions of Rovinj.

Great beach. Free parking, lots of free lots. Shaded places with trees near the water. Hope to come bach soon... !!!
Paweł S — Google review
This was our favourite beach nearby as it’s easy to get into the sea, there is a beach bar & toilet and plenty of parking right next to the beach so easy to take your picnic and paddle boards. Perfect place to watch sunset too.
Niki D — Google review
Beautiful beach. It is rocky, both outside and in the water so it can be hard to enter/leave the water. 10 meters from the shore starts sandy area which is not very deep. Water was warm. There isn't much natural shade and it will be taken early. The beach wasn't crowded though. To reach the beach you will need to drive ~2km on pebble road. There is a big parking area and a beach bar.
Nikola V — Google review
Cisterna beach! Parking is up to you. There is no private parking, but plenty of places to leave your car. Getting to the beach is ok, a few km of pebble roads that are no issue if you drive slow. Part of the beach has the access road in the back (when cars pass by and if the wind blows towards the sea, some of the dust might end up on the beach) and the sea in the front. A the other part of the beach has a pine forest in the back but access to the water can be tricky. There is a bar on the beach. Very friendly staff. You can have drinks and food. Really nice. We enjoyed the beach very much. I recommend visiting this beach. It is a different experience than the other more glamorous beaches. Depends what you are after :) Hope you like it.

Great pool and beach, came here for a beach party, plenty of space to chill out despite the number of people and they really went all out with the music systems. Staff kept the place clean and the bars were well staffed, if a little pricy. They even had a big screen for the World Cup.

Mulini Beach is a stunning rocky beach located near the picturesque forest park Zlatni rt in Rovinj. It's within walking distance of the Old Town and offers a combination of pebbles and concrete shores, making it perfect for swimmers and snorkelers of all ages. The gradual slope into calm waters provides smooth, clear underwater views.
Very nice area with chaise lounges, bar drinks /food and water access. Available to hotel guests at no charge.
David B — Google review
One of the best beaches I've been to. There's sandy areas and rocky areas but for sure you will enjoy your time here!
Josh S — Google review
130€ for a sunbed if you don’t stay at the hotel. The croque monsieur is a poor ham and cheese toast. Not a good vibe and poor music choice. There is nicer places to hang out.
Pär T — Google review
The beach is VIP, even in the free part. A sun lounger costs EUR 25, I think. The beach is pebble or concrete. The water is clear. Unfortunately, I stepped on a hedgehog. The beach can be reached on foot from the port. Anyway, worth a visit.
Mischa S — Google review
Beautiful, cosy, clean and very friendly organized beach, divided between three hotels... part of it is reserved for 5 star hotels... small, safe and clean bay for swimming. Also pools by side, bars... towels for hotel guests, showers on the side. Prices can be high, especially during peak season, when is also very crowded. Recommended!
Jan L — Google review
Well, there are way better beaches where to go. But thats just my opinion. The beach is small and it was too crowded, it happens when theres a high season. The sea was full of jellyfishes, it wasnt a pleasant feeling if they were all over you and touching you. But they have plenty of showers, free toilet and beach. The sunbeds and umbrella was 90 euros for 2 people, like what an actual ff? I know theres lots of people who will pay for it, i did see those people. But seems like, im not a beach guy so much, i like to swim, relax a hit, have a snack, a beer, then swim again, change and leave.
Jarmo V — Google review
We loved it. A beautiful pebble beach where you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas. If you prefer natural shade, you can relax under the pine trees. Nearby, there’s a beach bar and restaurants where you can grab a bite to eat.
Mellanie G — Google review
Lovely walkway to the beach and coastline. 5 stars for location, and the way they have set this up...bit the pricing for sun loungers is a little crazy.(see picture) Needless to say the free beach was very busy.

Park
Golden Cape, also known as Zlatni rt, is a secluded and rocky cove in western Istria, offering pebble and sand beaches with stunning views of nearby islands. The area is home to a beautiful forest park that was established by entrepreneur Georg Hutterott in the late 19th century. This park features a rich variety of botanical species, tree-lined paths, promenades, trails, and meadows.
We rented e-bikes in Rovinj and rode the path along the coast. Absolutely beautiful! Really enjoyed our day. Restaurants were scattered along the path. Very scenic.
Ellen M — Google review
Really beautiful beach near Rovinj 🏖️ We were staying in the heart of the old town and this beach was about a 40 minute walk from our apartment. You have to walk through a stunning nature park to get here and it’s worth every step. Lots of beach beds available to hire (€7 for the whole day). Water was super clear and there was a bar available to grab drinks. However we would recommend bringing your own lunch and drinks.
Afua O — Google review
10/10 we went there twice during our stay. The beach is peaceful and beautiful. Good vibe and relaxing. Rocks are beautiful and the sea is crystal clear. The trees are definitely astonishing. Definitely worth spending time here

Beach bar Porton Biondi is situated just north of Rovinj's city center, within walking distance or a short drive from the Old Town. The beach itself is mostly rocky and concrete with some gravel inlets, providing easy access to the sea. Visitors can enjoy the picturesque view of Rovinj's old town while relaxing on this beautiful beach. Additionally, there are a couple of beach bars and trees offering shade.
We came here several times last year. It is the nicest of the beach bars. Lovely location and great views. Large covered area with open sides. Lots of tables outside as well. Seems to have expanded since last year. Waitress service but pay at the bar. Tables are numbered. Toilet block keys held at the bar. We brought Norma and Liza for post lunch Sorbetto at 7€ each. A cold refreshing treat. 0.5l beer for 4€ as is a 0.2l wine. You also get a small dish of crisps with your drinks. There is a ramp into the sea if you fancy a dip. Lovely relaxing beach bar.
MADDOGLEP — Google review
Great bar as everyone says and lovely helpful staff, ignore any bad reviews as it is spotless and one to definitely recommend, we visited every day for 6 days
Colette C — Google review
A bar right by the sea, a wonderful atmosphere and an even more beautiful view of the sea and Rovinj. You can have a quick meal here, ice cream, cold drink and cocktails. The staff is very friendly, we were served a free snack along with the drink. Prices are appropriate for the season and location. Large and well-maintained parking lot nearby.

From my point of view , this is good beach. It is long with several gravel , rock, concrete slopes to sea. There are 2bars , several changing rooms , toilets on both sides, free gravel parking places.
Lubo M — Google review
nice beach. you can see Rovinj from this beach. however the water wasn't too clean when I went here. we went to the watersport game and the water around was full of something seem to be toilet paper and we saw a condom in the water... some people were leaving their rubbish behind. There are changing place and shower for the public on the beach, surrounded by 2 to 3 beach bars, water sports and jet ski rental. There are paid and free parking.

(Translated by Google) The campsite is very well located. If you're camping, you need good pegs, preferably screw-in ones, and the ground is compact. There's a lot on offer for children, which is expensive. Where there are loungers, they're always good value for money, and yes, they're monitored 😉. At the pool, the white loungers with umbrella and table cost €17 per day, while the gray ones on the lawn are free. Therefore, all the gray ones are occupied and all the white ones are free. If the lounger set were €5 less, perhaps more people would be able to afford it. The pools were quite cold at the end of August. The residents at the pool and the mini disco area down by the sea are very nice. Sanitary facilities are modern, clean, and well-maintained. There could be perhaps half as many facilities spread around the area near the sea. Likewise, there could be half as many showers in the beach area. Overall, we were satisfied, even though we sometimes had to wait in line for showers and toilets.

(Translated by Google) Great beach, showers, changing rooms, it's clean and well maintained. There is no entrance fee to the beach, at least that's how it was on the day we arrived and I believe it's always like that. The sea is clean, not polluted, there aren't many boats nearby and all sorts of wild people on speedboats and other vessels, there are no aggressive sunbed renters, and the beach is not covered with sunbeds, you enjoy the pure natural beauty of the landscape. It's not nudist or dog-friendly, which is very positive and great for families with children. In fact, this is one of the better beaches around Rovinj. The beach is covered with small round pebbles, very pleasant for walking and lying down, the more distant part of the beach is covered with grass, that part doesn't really have much shade. One part of the beach is rocky where it's very close to the woods and has a lot of shade. It was a very pleasant experience, I recommend coming! (Translated by Google) A true paradise, populated by countless little wonders! This place is more than just a beautiful spot; it's a living spectacle. The gentle lapping of the waves and the powdery sand beneath your feet create a dreamy backdrop, while the breathtaking sunsets set the sky ablaze. But the real highlight are the many, many hermit crabs that scurry about everywhere on the beach and in the shallow water. It's fascinating to watch them busily crawling across the sand with their newly discovered shell houses, searching for an even better home or simply exploring. Every glance at the beach reveals new little inhabitants populating their own little world. Their presence gives this place an incredible vibrancy and a touch of magic that is rarely experienced. An absolute must for anyone who wants to escape everyday life and experience the beauty of nature in its purest and most vibrant form! (Translated by Google) The impression of wilderness, rocky beach, lots of flat areas to place towels, the sea is clear here and the view is beautiful. The beach is harder to get to because you have to walk along a wild promenade through the forest on well-trodden paths and exit to an exit from the forest to the beach that exists every fifty meters. Across the road, about 200 meters away, there is a small island that is quickly reached, it is recommended to use some kind of aid to cross to the island, especially if the sea is rough. You have to love and enjoy something like this for it to be pleasant, I definitely recommend it.

Restaurant
Monte is a classy restaurant with a rustic-chic ambiance that offers locally sourced food and an extensive wine list. The restaurant hosts inspiring performances and panels featuring distinguished chefs, including the Spanish chef and owner Alejandro Serrano. Situated in Rovinj, Monte is known for its imaginative dishes that combine global influences with local Istrian ingredients and culinary traditions. Located at the foot of the Church of St.
We had a really nice time at Monte. Super friendly staff and the food was amazing! It was also nice that you could choose between the different menus. The wine pairings with the food was also really great.

Good ingredients and well prepared with great presentation. Lots of wine list. Sommelier is quite helpful and nice personality.

What a cracking experience. From the signature cocktail to the petit fours, the menu and food was great. We chose the Blue menu. My favourite dishes were the egg, predessert (the mint/lime), lamb tenderloin and the pani puri with black truffle.
Rob P — Google review
I had been really looking forward to visiting Monte, especially as the first Michelin-starred restaurant in Croatia — my expectations were high. The service was absolutely outstanding, and the sommelier was excellent, guiding us through a thoughtful wine selection. That said, the food left me a bit disappointed. With the incredible quality of products available in Croatia, I felt the menu could have been more attractive and creative. Some dishes were definite highlights, but others simply did not deliver. The ideas behind certain plates were interesting, yet the execution and choices could have been stronger. Perhaps we made a mistake by choosing the premium menu; maybe the alternative menu, with the same products worked in a different way, would have been a better fit. Still, I do believe it’s worth visiting Monte — the portions are fair, and there are memorable moments throughout the meal. I was just expecting more from a Michelin-starred experience

Dear Monte Team, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks for the truly unforgettable evening we spent at your restaurant. Every detail — from the impeccable service to the beautifully crafted dishes — reflected your passion, precision, and creativity. It was not just a meal, but a memorable experience that delighted all the senses. Each course told a story, and we deeply appreciated the thought and care that went into every element. Thank you once again for such a remarkable evening. We look forward to returning in the future and will certainly be recommending your restaurant to others. And I almost forgot to expres my feelings when you helped us to order wine one beautiful lady, who was celebraring her birthday. Thank you for your amazing work. Warm regards, Svatava and Ivan

Park forest Zlatni Rt, located about 2.5 km south of Rovinj city center, is a serene park with tall cedar and cypress trees, offering grassy picnic areas and opportunities for boating and swimming. A beautiful forest park with stunning paths for walking and cycling. The costal paths are shaded by pine trees wide with easy access to the crystal clear sea. There are many cafes to grab coffee and snacks. The most stunning scenery and all beautifully maintained. We hired bikes from RM.

Heaven 😇 Beautiful park forest by the sea. Natural rocky beaches mostly, few pebbles beaches and many little bays. For FKK lovers as well many nice places to enjoy, just search walking by the sea. All included: walking, biking, light hiking, swimming, running, relaxing with birds wind and waves. Yoga, meditation ... Peace ✌️ Rock climbing, but only with your equipment. Not for beginners. I'm in love with this place and it's just next to the city.

I do really love this beach. Shame there's not more on offer in terms of food and facilities like shower/loo. It's otherwise beautiful. The one café only has some drinks and ham/cheese sandwich on offer and you have to pay a euro to use the loo. That's the downside.

Favourite place in Rovijn. I want to come back with a bike, but it's so nice on foot. It would be good if there were more restrooms, we didn't have one where we were swimming, it was a 15 min walk. But it's wild and natural, what we prefer.

I just love this place. From the campsite Polari to city center Rovinj it's about 4 km on foot on the gravel promenade all along the coastal line. Walk with occasional dip in the sea, finish with late luch or dinner in city center. 😍

Nestled amidst a serene backdrop of shady pine trees, Cuvi Beach is a delightful cove that invites visitors to indulge in swimming, sunbathing, and picnicking. This picturesque spot is perfect for those seeking tranquility or leisurely strolls along the coast. As you explore the area, you'll find comfort under fragrant evergreens or enjoy a refreshing drink at one of the charming seaside cafes. Located just 1.
This beach is for you if you like - rocky seabed, pine trees. There's a lot of space, enough shade for everyone. It is a great place to swim with a mask and look at fish, crabs and sea cucumbers. The seabad is rocky and in some places the entrance is not easy, but there is also a section where there are no rocks and you can enter the water without problems. The water is clean ant transparent. There are no waves and very few boats. You can have a snack in a local cafe, take a sun lounger and even get a massage. You can find here a shower, toilet and changing room. A great place to relax!

Civil beach has different options. An inner beach for kids. A rocky beach for adventure and a Pebble stone beach. Further up there is a naturist beach for the people that are interested. Because it offers so much we are giving it 5 stars. Parking was easy and the general vibe was perfect! Trees over natural shade. Basically one of the best places to go.

I almost don’t want to share this, because Cuvi is such a great spot. Of all the beaches along the Golden Cape, it’s the most accessible, with clear water and plenty of space to relax on the grass or under the pine trees. There’s even a beach club for drinks, snacks, or pizza. Just bring swimming shoes, because the rocky shore makes them a must.

The beach is nice, smaller stones, some rocky parts, but if you get into the water after a few meters there is fine sand and a nice walk to the deep waters.. surrounded by pine forrest, and a nice beach bar. There is also a toilet which you pay 7 kn for one use.. there are two masage spots too.. nice for couples and a great deal of peace .. not so crowded 🙃

Excellent organisation. Greenery is absolutely fantastic. All beaches (4,5 km ) are surrounded by old trees with lot of shade. Countless number of sun beds which are free to use. Swimming pool area is perfect and handicapped accessible. Room is cosy, comfortable and clean. All restaurants and beach bars are perfect. Whole complex is crisp clean and well maintained. Most valuable and important are people working here. Everyone is friendly, always ready to answer, speaks multiple languages. Everyone knows it's part in this organisation. In all, absolutely perfect place for holiday.

Outstanding luxury camping with great facilities. We used our tent to get a bit down to basics. Downside are the growing number of huge bus-size campers (like Centurion and Concorde 5*) and large caravans running their airconditioning continuously, even when they are away. This makes a constant annoying noise for their neighbours.

Absolutely the best there is. Wonderful staff both in reception, cleaning, restaurants and everywhere else. Our mobile home was spotless and well equipped. Pitches are generally very big and nicely kept. Facilities blocks are first class. Maybe not the cheapest but value for money can't be beaten. Easy drive, cycle, bus, taxi into Rovinj but you do not need to leave the resort for anything if you don't want to. Lots of good bars and restaurants, shops for all needs. Take an FKK boat trip on the MB Orsera, for a wonderful experience (take clothes to wear for stop offs!) Tickets from the marina beside the office. We've booked for next year already. Been to all the FKK resorts in Istria, Valalta leaves all others standing. This is a genuine review by a Google tour guide.

Nestled in the heart of Rovinj, Croatia, Balbi's Arch is a stunning example of Baroque architecture that dates back to 1679. This intricately carved stone archway once served as a primary entrance to the medieval fortified town during Venetian rule. As you pass through Balbi's Arch, you're transported into a charming world filled with picturesque streets leading up to the magnificent Church of St Euphemia.
This is the main entrance historically use to the city of Rovinj. There is a large square in front where you will find café's and restaurants. Beyond that, you will find a large walkway through the heart of Rovinj.
Mat B — Google review
Entrance to the beautiful old city of Rovinj. Definitely worth a visit. On the seaside of the old town you can even get into the crystal clear water.
Thomas K — Google review
In Rovinj, where the Adriatic kisses sun-worn stone, Balbi’s Arch stands like a silent sentinel of time. Built in the late 1600s, its carved faces and worn columns are more than decoration — they are a quiet invitation. Step beneath the arch, and you cross into another world. Beyond it, the streets narrow and dance, winding like forgotten songs through the old town. Bright shutters frame crooked windows, and ancient doors hide stories untold. Every twist of the alley hints at unseen treasures — a tucked-away artist’s studio, a hidden courtyard bursting with bougainvillea, the sudden sparkle of the sea at the end of a passageway. Balbi’s Arch is not just a gate; it is the first page of Rovinj’s living story, where every glance behind a window and every creak of a door promises a new secret waiting to be found.
Dan S — Google review

Next to the famous street, you should walk up or down the street from this square up to the church. There are a lot of nice handmade products along the way while you can enjoy taking nice photos of little cute street and architecture in this area
Jurerat ( — Google review
Rovinj is the most beautiful city in Croatia for me. Rich history, beautiful architecture and a good atmosphere are always a good magnet to visit. Beautiful narrow buildings, squares, churches, streets, restaurants, bars make this place unparalleled. So is the entrance to the old city from the city square through the beautiful baroque Balbi's arch unique. Balbi's arch, Venetian structure is covered with stone. In its present place was once the main gate of a fortified city, the Porton della pescheria. In 1678 - 1679, the old city gates were demolished and Balbi's arch was built in their place. Built in the time of Mayor Daniel Balbi, as evidenced by the inscription on a stone slab placed on the arch. At the top of the arch is a figure of the head, on the outside of the arch is in Turkish style, and on the inside of the Venetian style. Also on Balbi's arch there is a figure of Venetian lion. Anyway interesting and nice.

Churches & Cathedrals
The Church of St. Euphemia is a magnificent Baroque-style Catholic church constructed in 1736, located in the charming town of Rovinj. The church's standout feature is its impressive 60-meter tower, which provides panoramic views of the cityscape, including red rooftops, bustling streets, the port with ships and boats, and the picturesque marina filled with yachts.
The Church of St. Euphemia is truly one of the highlights of Rovinj. The architecture is magnificent — elegant Baroque design, beautiful details inside, and a facade that reflects timeless Venetian influence. Every corner of the church tells a story. It’s wonderfully located right by the sea, and the views are simply breathtaking. From the hilltop, you get a charming panorama of the Adriatic and the old town below. One of the best parts is climbing the bell tower. The stairs are a bit steep, but totally worth it for the incredible 360° view at the top! Also, the staff and volunteers at the church were extremely kind and helpful. They answered every question with a smile and made the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended — peaceful, inspiring, and unforgettable.
Horia S — Google review
The most iconic landmark in Rovinj, the Church of Saint Euphemia, the patron saint of the city who is buried in the church. The church, high on a hill overlooking the old town, was completed in 1736 and was designed in the Venetian Baroque-style. The Bell Tower closely resembles Saint Marks in Venice. There is a statue of St. Euphemia at the top. Just below the church, there is a café overlooking the sea.
Francine L — Google review
The Church of St. Euphemia is without a doubt one of Rovinj’s crown jewels. Its Baroque architecture is both graceful and imposing, with a façade that proudly echoes Venetian artistry and an interior rich with detail and history. Every stone seems to carry a piece of the town’s story. Perched on a hilltop right by the sea, the setting is just as impressive as the church itself. From here, you can take in sweeping views of the Adriatic and the picturesque old town below. A visit is highly worthwhile — serene, inspiring, and a memory you’ll carry long after you leave.
Patrice O — Google review
The thing that stands out on Rovinj panorama is this Church with its tall bell tower. It's perched on top of the hill of Rovinj old town peninsula. A maze of old stone streets leads up to it with many interesting craft and art shops. Beware, these stones are pretty slippery even totally dry. Once up you're greeted with an elegant 18c Baroque Church with a white marble facade. During our visit there was a wedding which added to the atmosphere. Great views of Rovinj and Adriatic from up
Dejan B — Google review
The church is nice but nothing special. The tower visit is worthwhile experience. Going up the stairs is an adventure which keeps the old structure untouched. The panoramic views from the top of the tower are breathtaking.
Ido M — Google review
The Church of St. Euphemia is Rovinj’s most iconic landmark and absolutely worth a visit! The climb through the charming Old Town is rewarded with stunning views from the top, overlooking the sea and nearby islands. Inside, the church is peaceful and beautifully preserved, with rich history and impressive architecture. A must-see for anyone visiting Rovinj!
Kristina L — Google review
A very large church, elaborate interiors more reminiscent of Cathedral type spaces. Colorful and detailed in a way that draws the eye in many different directions. I took time to explore the interior before paying a small extra charge to climb to 60 metre tower. Soon rediscovered my fear of heights as I made my way up the narrow steps, every one of which you can see through to the flight below. The climb is worth it for the views from the top in all directions. Expect it to be busy, and to have to wait in turn for your perfect photo opportunity. Also be prepared to wait on the steps as others pass up and down.

Aquarium
Rovinj Aquarium, located outside the old town on Obala G. Paliage, is a historic attraction that dates back to 1891 when it was established as the Zoological Department of the Berlin Aquarium Unter den Linden. As one of Europe's oldest aquariums, it showcases marine life from the Adriatic Sea, including scorpionfish and pufferfish.
Although the Rovinj Aquarium is arguably small, there is a lot to see. Every tank is labeled in multiple languages and interesting facts are displayed throughout the aquarium. All in all, it's worth paying a visit!
Rin — Google review
The aquarium is small, half an hour is enough to see it. It is true the aquarium needs a little renovation. Everything seems outdated and as if no one really cares about the animals as much as they should. Any new ideas for refresh would be welcome in my opinion.

Don't expect much from this aquarium, as it is small and bit old. But, we enjoyed it and saw some nice see inhabitants. We just didn't rush it and veiw it patience. It's also not expensive.

Would be cool place to visit with kids. Even so small might look nice and interesting, if only the aquariums were clean! And so the fish!!! More kids friendly (pictures, stories, interactive boards) or at least some playground in the park above the building would do magic in this place! Such waste of potential, such pity!!!

The beach FKK Beach Punta Križ is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the sun. It can be a great place for night parties, especially for adult only.
We love this beach and have been visiting it for years. There is a special atmosphere of freedom here, despite the fact that there are shortcomings. The beach is free to enter, so there may be some not very nice, unkempt single men. But if you are an interesting, pleasant couple, you can meet a pleasant couple or relax without meeting anyone. Our advice to couples: feel free to meet other couples if you are bored.
Luk2020 S — Google review
FKK Beach Punta Križ, located north of Rovinj, Croatia, is one of the country’s top naturist beaches, offering a secluded, rocky shoreline with clear waters perfect for swimming and sunbathing. The beach attracts adults seeking a non-traditional atmosphere and a naturist lifestyle. While the location provides privacy and a unique ambiance, visitors have reported concerns about cleanliness and the lack of natural shade. Access is via scenic forest paths, although the maintenance of these pathways may be an issue. Overall, it’s a great choice for naturists looking for a quiet retreat, but visitors should be prepared for some environmental and practical challenges.
Dani B — Google review
When entering the beach, there is a sign saying “public beach”, no mention of nudity allowed… But it’s a nudist beach, and there are lots of perverted people and exhibitionists there, some even having sex in front of everyone… So be careful when going there!
Sevak A — Google review
Most od the area rocs and quite hard accessible if you are into swimming. Terrible pollution. Entire wood area covered with litter. Everything is full of used tissues, used con-doms and plastic bottles. City of Rovinj should do something about this!

I booked the free walking tour on their website. Our guide was Analee, and she was amazing. She was very knowledgeable about the history of Rovinj, took us to some amazing places & was very friendly. What a fabulous way to learn about such a wonderful place. I really enjoyed the 2 hour walk, it went so quickly. The little surprises on the way were also a brilliant idea. Well done

Campground
Maistra Camping Polari is a popular camping site located just 3 kilometers south of Rovinj. The campsite offers spacious and shaded pitches right by the water, making it super safe and fun for kids. Visitors can enjoy the wonderful pebble-covered beach and take a convenient taxi ride into the stunning city of Rovinj. The campsite provides great views across the ocean and islands, with clean shower facilities that offer strong water pressure.
Best camping place so far. Great location, good beaches, spotless bathroom facilites, quick checkin/checkout, grocery store with good choice, pools, live music.. Cya again in near future!
Damir J — Google review
Once but never again – overpriced and disappointing We stayed at Camping Polari (Maistra) in early June and were assigned a nice, spacious premium pitch – number 40. Even though it was outside peak season, we paid €62 per night. That would’ve been fine if the rest of the experience matched the price. To be fair: the pitch was great and the sanitary facilities were clean. But that’s about where the positives end. What really shocked us were the outrageous extra costs for basic things. Want to lie on a sunbed by the pool? That’s €9 per bed. Need a parasol? Add another €5. For two people, that’s €19 per day just to relax by the pool. Don’t want to pay? Then you’re kindly directed to a grassy field with a few old grey loungers. A simple croissant at the bakery? Nearly €3. The on-site supermarket and restaurant? Also overpriced. Now, we’re fortunate enough to be able to afford it, but let’s be honest – we’re not stupid. For families, this place must be a complete financial nightmare. To us, this felt like pure money-grabbing, and we really dislike that. Once is more than enough – we won’t be coming back. ⭐️ 1 star – only because of the clean facilities and nice pitch. Everything else: a big disappointment.
Sebastiaan B — Google review
Expensive but worth every penny. We visited at the end of may and had a premium pitch. Very big and only a few neighbors. Very new and clean sanitary buildings. Very clean campsite with every kind of facilities. 10 minutes with E-bike to Rovinj. Beaches, parks, wineries and good restaurants close by. And very dog friendly. We enjoyed it very much. But we will not visit it in the summer when it will be completely filled with families with children.
Leo S — Google review
Great site with very friendly and helpful staff. The facilities on site are very modern and spotless. There are a number restaurants and bars to suit every taste, an onsite bakery and supermarket. Rovinj is lovely and accessible on foot and bike via a coastal path approximately 5 miles away. Would definitely come back to this site in the future future
Steve H — Google review
One of the most fantastic campsites we have ever been. Professional and friendly service everywhere. Sanitair is clean and nice. And the restaurants are super. Beautiful sea and everything is organized and done to give you a pleasant stay. For us goes that they more than succeeded.
Brenda T — Google review
Overall excellent, however, very disappointed that halfway through our stay, charges were imposed for sunbeds and parasols in the pool area and along the seafront . These charges were significant (around 20 Euro per day for family) and not explained prior to our stay.
Michael G — Google review
Tried in 2024, it was very good: close to the sea, very clean and well served WC/shower areas, polite personnel
Alexander O — Google review
We stayed with our camper van for 4 nights. The staff (Ivan and Endi) were very helpful and pro active when we had to change our pitch on the first day. The campsite is a few kms south of Rovinj so you can cycle or take the water taxi or bus so location is very good It is a large busy resort (we stayed 19th June to 23rd June) so outside these busy times might be preferable if not travelling with children. All in all the staff were very helpful and the amenities ie toilets/showers (in the Premium area) were very good and well looked after. Thank you

Campground
Campsite Amarin is a top-quality resort located near Rovinj, offering natural beaches shaded by fragrant pine trees. The campsite provides spacious pitches with electricity, water, and drainage hook-ups, as well as comfortable mobile homes and glamping tents. With three outdoor swimming pools by the sea, restaurants, and bars on-site, guests can enjoy all the amenities.
This campground boasts impressively large pitches, offering plenty of space. The staff members were notably friendly and welcoming during our stay. We found the pricing to be quite reasonable for the facilities provided. The pool area is pleasant and a nice feature for guests. Furthermore, there are numerous other amenities available on site. However, potential visitors should be aware that there was ongoing construction, and the pitches themselves were not completely flat.
Dominik S — Google review
Spacious, very clean site. Perfectly furnished mobile home in a quiet location. Very clean beach. The only annoying thing was queuing to buy bread for breakfast. However, this should be improved soon.
Fernando C — Google review
It was a beautiful holiday but 2 things were really annoying which you could easily change: - beach sunbeds on the left side of the map should at least be without further costs for the premium mobile homes, that shouldn’t be too many additional people - invest in the beach - change the middle beach so that it looks like the left one. One time invest but everything would have more space and would be used more. I don’t want to imagine how full the left beach is in August That were the 2 points I also heard often by other guests who simply won’t come back. On the other hand it’s a very nice resort with the most friendly staff we met in Croatia Cu
MaSkywa — Google review
Nice and clean Camping site with very good mobile Homes. Good connection to the city center of Rovinj by Taxiboot. Good Tennis courts and Multiball courts. New child and clean playgrounds and skate park. Nice trip for family.
Michael W — Google review
Great place, remote and peaceful location. We’ll organized area with play grounds, great and clean beach, water taxi to Rovinj, restaurants and store on prem. We sated in mobile homes (superior relax), and it was great, kitchen was well equipped with all necessaries. Great terrace area where we spend most of our evenings. I would greatly recommend Maistra Camping site and we will defiantly return to this great place.
Maks S — Google review
Modern and clean campsite, but completely overpriced. Nearly 70 € per night for a standard pitch is hard to justify – especially when everything else comes with steep extra charges. Want to use a sunbed and umbrella by the pool or beach? That’s another 45 € per day for two people. Feels like you’re being milked at every opportunity. The pool uses saltwater – not a problem in itself, but at these prices you'd expect premium facilities, not seawater pumped in on the cheap. On top of that, there was loud construction starting at 7 a.m., with heavy machinery operating less than 20 meters from our spot – and not even a small discount for the disruption. More generally: Croatia seems to be losing touch with reality. Prices are climbing higher and higher – absurdly high, in fact. Many places are now 1.5 to 2 times more expensive than Italy. And while Italy has a century of tourism experience and understands how to strike the balance between premium pricing and genuine hospitality, that sense is completely lacking here. Tourism in Croatia is still relatively new, and it shows. Guests are squeezed for every cent, without the service or atmosphere to match. That might work in the short term – but long-term, it’s a recipe for decline. Sadly, they’ll probably have to learn that the hard way. Not recommended. Wouldn’t return.
Jay W — Google review
The mobilehome and it's amenities exceeded our expectations: very new and modern, very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our stay (preseason) very much and will come back for another visit.
A K — Google review
I had a perfect stay in Camping Amarin. I was traveling alone and chose an off-season slot because I had that flexibility and got a great deal. I had a very nice mobile home that gave me much more than I needed. The place was quiet, chill, close to the beach and had lots of activities and entertainment offerings. Last year I also stayed in Koversada Campsite, part of Maistra group, and I was equally pleased with the location, offer and service. I'm sure I will be happy to return to any of the Maistra sites again in the beautiful Istria, close to Rovinj and Vrsar!

The area around Hotel Amarin is well-maintained and offers natural shade from pine trees, creating a comfortable environment for visitors. The pebbled entrance to the beach is easily accessible, making it suitable for families with children and elderly individuals. While exploring this awesome location, it's recommended to wear sea shoes for added comfort, as is common in many Croatian beaches.

It is a beach...land ends..sea begins. Simples. Not up to world beating golden sands in say Cuba. I grew up on the South Coast with pebbles and the English Channel. ...The boss had a wonderful sandy beach in South Shields but the North Sea is always cold. On a warm day a sea fret ruins the sun. Bar
Punta Cabana is a hidden gem among the best beaches in Rovinj, nestled in a picturesque cove within the town's forest park. The beautiful turquoise sea, fine pebble shore, and lush greenery create a unique and breathtaking panorama. This self-service beach bar offers basic beverages and simple snacks, but what sets it apart is its chill atmosphere and great music played from a vinyl collection.
A very chilled, self-service bar in the park, just a few steps from the beach offering a lovely sunset view. They play great music and serve solid beer (Ozujsko) for €4, along with some basic food and snacks. This place is perfect for relaxing and unwinding—highly recommended!
Martin B — Google review
We discovered this place when we arrived at Golden Cape beach. The atmosphere is beautiful, with plenty of seating and super comfortable sofas. We had an orange Cedevita and a beer, and decided to try the snacks: you can choose between a full bag of paprika or regular chips. It’s perfect for those who want to relax on the sofas or loungers, while still being right by the beach. There’s always music playing in the background, and it’s self-service: you order at the counter and bring it to your table (there are no waiters, just staff behind the bar). A charming spot, definitely worth a visit.

7€ for a sandwich that comes with a little bit of prosciutto, fake cheese, and a couple pieces of pickles. They don't even have ketchup/ mayo.., and some extra vegetables to add inside a sandwich. They should say that before charging it. 0.5l soft drinks cost 4€. The only thing why this place survives by my opinion is location.

Diana M — Google review
Typical Istrian beaches with rocks and smaller and larger stones. The sea is clean, the view of the city of Rovinj is great. This is actually several similar beaches in a row. Plenty of restaurants, more expensive and cheaper... ice creams. There are toilets, showers... It is possible to rent bicycles as well as all water equipment. You can drive almost to the beach. Take into consideration that it is mostly crowded, noisy... but it is big and you can find some peace on some rocks...
Borislav B — Google review
This beach was one of the best-rated beaches in the area. However, I am not sure if such a high rating is really suitable for this place. The toilets were out of order, making it quite inconvenient for visitors, and the changing places were smelly, which detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, the sea was a bit difficult to access, possibly due to rocky terrain or insufficiently maintained pathways, which made getting into the water less enjoyable. Another significant downside was the crowding. The beach was packed from the early morning, leaving little room for relaxation or privacy. This high level of crowding might be a turnoff for those looking for a peaceful beach experience. On the positive side, the view of Rovinj from the beach is stunning and provides a beautiful backdrop that can enhance the overall ambiance. Furthermore, the free parking in the shade of the pine forest is a great convenience for visitors, offering a respite from the sun and making the beach more accessible for those driving. In conclusion, while the beach has some redeeming features like the picturesque view and shaded parking, the issues with facilities and crowding may not justify its high rating. Potential visitors should weigh these factors when deciding whether to visit.

I didn't use the beach bar or restaurant as I had taken food and drink with me. It was so serene amd peaceful, I absolutely loved it.

I visited this calm and beautiful island as part of a kayaking tour, and it was an unforgettable experience. The water was crystal-clear and incredibly clean, perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Unlike many other spots I’ve visited, the shoreline here was much smoother, with fewer rocks, making it ideal for snorkelling and relaxing in the shallows. Beyond the water, the island offered tranquil paths for a peaceful stroll, and a few benches where you can sit, unwind, and take in the serene surroundings. A perfect little escape into nature.

The island is a true gem just off the coast of Rovinj. Reachable by 5 min ferry boat ride that runs about every hour. Once you arrive, you get surrounded by lush greenery that provides comfy shade and fantastic scent, perfect on a hot summer day. It feels like a natural park, quiet and unspoiled, with walking paths that lead to hidden coves and rocky beaches. We stayed 3 nights at Maistra hotel there and found the island a great place to relax, enjoy the beach and simply take in the stunning views of the sea and Rovinj’s old town in the distance.

Nice for walk and relax in forest. There are few small beaches, one hotel and one bar. You have great view on Rovinj from island. Sincerely I expected more. Island st Andrija and red island is better option in my opinion.

Punta Corrente Park, also known as Golden Cape, is a serene natural park located just south of Rovinj. Originally envisioned by Austrian industrialist Johann Georg von Hutterott in the 19th century, the park boasts a lush softwood forest filled with cedar, Douglas fir, cypress, and Aleppo pine trees that were planted over a century ago. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks along well-maintained pathways with convenient amenities such as rubbish bins and benches for resting.

This place is just wow! Best value/price accomodation ever been. Super organized parking and boat transport to the island. The location is beautiful. The room was spacious, extra-extra clean, and well-equipped. Wide selection for breakfast, juices, coffee, everything what you need. The staff was extremly friendly, and helpful big respect to them. Plenty of opportunities for both children and adults. We will definitely be back.

We have been coming to All Suites Hotel Istra for the past 6 years and it is always an amazing experience. St. Andrew’s Island is a true gem for people who want to run away from the noise and chaos of a large city and truly indulge in what Croatia has offer in terms of nature, clean turquoise sea and tranquility of pine forest. Vestar is a popular destination with several beaches, including the well-attended town beach in Lone Bay and the spacious Vestar beach that extends across the bay. (Translated by Google) Nice place not too big. Pitches by the sea are very nice and quiet. The beach is okay and you have the opportunity to lie down in many places. You can quickly get to Rovinij by taxi boat or bicycle. Very nice old town. The sea is shallow so it is also suitable for small children. Nice pool, but there isn't even a lifeguard at the diving pool. (Translated by Google) We were here in May/June 2025. Very nice campsite with superb new restroom facilities. Beautiful beach in a bay, ideal for private boats. Three pools, one for diving from the 1m diving board, one for swimming and playing ball, and one for the little ones. There's a very rocky hiking and cycling path along the coast to Rovinj (no problem with a mountain bike). Cycling on the road is dangerous, as the locals don't keep their distance and race past you at high speed. It's only 4km to Rovinj, but there's no hard shoulder and it's very narrow. The entrance to the campsite is a bit narrow in places due to hedges, but not impossible. Prices for pitches, as well as for eating out and buying groceries, have risen sharply in Croatia - so the restaurants and bars were largely deserted. The supermarket and bakery on site have very inflated prices (e.g., a slightly undersized, plain Kaiser roll costs €1.10). All in all, the 5-star Vestar campsite is highly recommended. However, we will avoid Croatia on our next vacation due to the sharply increased prices.

(Translated by Google) The current truth about Vestar: It is always difficult to assess the current, real situation on courses from older reviews. Because a lot often changes quickly. Here is the status in the second half of August 2019 The place is almost full, but top premium places by the sea can be snapped up spontaneously... why they weren't offered to us when we asked several times almost a year ago remains unclear. Possibly interim cancellations? The size of the space is still manageable. The paths are new and cleanly paved and sufficiently wide. The squares are lined with newly planted laurel bushes. There are often trees on the square. A majority of the pitches are with German language. Slopes, some adventurous support operations can be admired here - if you don't get one of the few flat places, you just have to deal with it. The bay is wonderful. The water is flat, calm, hardly any swell or tides. Great for bathing and playing with children. The beach is pebbly, often fine sand in the water with a few larger rocks/stones. Also great for paddling, snorkeling is more likely on the offshore island, which is easy to paddle over to. Bakery - very tasty, fresh, homemade. In addition to the bakery stand with a long line, there is a second sale that is usually not very busy. Supermarket - overpriced. You drive the 4 km to Lidl/Konzum/Plodina - all next to each other at the entrance to the town. There selection like at home! Animation - little, we don't miss it! Sports - water sports/biking/hiking good! Otherwise there are few options, as there is only a beach volleyball court. Snorkeling in the bay wasn't great despite there being a diving school, but good at the rocky end and on the nearby islands! Paddle like on a lake!! Pizzeria - first class!!! Grill/restaurant - also good! great sea view. Possibly loud with evening music/(children's) disco at the nearby beach bar. Courteous reception in case of early departure due to family. Emergency. We didn't have to pay for the full time booked. Pizzeria- erstklassig!!!

Very funny (Original) Noleggiato moto d’acqua, 2 persone 30 minuti 75€. Molto divertente

(Translated by Google) Awesome, rented a jet ski here. Good explanation and then out on the water. Great jet ski, where you can fly across the water at 75-80 km/h. A fun experience! Leuke ervaring!

Plaža Balota in Rovinj is a charming coastal area that offers clear waters for swimming and sunbathing. It's a small recreational spot with stone walking paths and stairs leading to the crystal-clear water from the Old Town. Unlike typical city beaches, Plaža Balota features large rocks for sunbathing and ladders for entering the blue waters.
This beach in Rovinj is an absolute gem! The crystal-clear waters and stunning views make it a perfect spot for a relaxing day by the sea. It has plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. The nearby rocks add a unique touch and provide great spots for sunbathing and exploring. It’s also conveniently close to the center of Rovinj, making it easy to grab a bite or enjoy a stroll after a day at the beach. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

We didn't swim here (although some did) as it was April and sea still freezing! But good to dip toes in (till lost feeling in feet) and the kids had a lot of fun. Nice view out into the Adriatic and you can also watch the unusually enormous seagulls and the odd cormorant
Tim W — Google review
Lovely beach with beautiful clear water. Steps down into the water making it easy to enter. Careful of the rocks are sharp and can be slippy.

Sunset watchers’ paradise. I didn't ’t swim. I just came for the sunset and got more than I bargained for. Rugged, rocky landscape, crystal-clear Adriatic view, and that sky. Pure magic when St. Catherine’s Island turns silhouette. Not for lazy-bones or lounge-lizard types—bring your own shade, water, maybe a seat. No facilities, but peace and ambiance delivered. Worth the walk from Old Town, absolutely.

Rock beach under the church tower. Bring your towel and swimming suit when you walk up to the church tower. You will want to have a deep after the walk ! Nice view !
