Flea & Street Markets
Souk El Had is a massive and lively market located in Agadir, Morocco. Covering over 13 hectares and employing thousands of people, it stands as one of the largest markets in the country. Originally built as a fortress after an earthquake, it has been renovated over the years. The market offers a wide range of goods including spices, housewares, fresh produce, olives, fabrics, leather goods, furniture, Moroccan teapots and much more.
Great to have a root around. Nice to see the local life. Lots of gifts to get here and a must is to try the local fresh foods like juices and fruit. Best food here is kuanafa sweet and the soup. Defo stop at a local cafe and enjoy a meal.
Jody B — Google review
A very well-known market and definitely worth a visit. Inside you’ll find countless stalls – ranging from typical souvenirs to truly valuable handmade items. There’s also a large section with fresh fruits, vegetables, and an impressive variety of spices. The people here are very friendly and much less pushy than expected. Overall, a great atmosphere and highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience local culture and markets.
Moritz E — Google review
Souk El Had in Agadir is absolutely amazing! It’s the largest and oldest market/souk in Africa and you can find almost anything you’re looking for, from fresh produce and spices to clothes, handicrafts, and souvenirs. A vibrant place full of colors, energy, and local charm. Definitely a must-visit when in Agadir!
Fathima F — Google review
We walked to the souk in around 15 minutes from our hotel. The place is huge, 3000 stalls selling everywhere. Ate tanjia here and drank freshly squeezed orange juice and bought some spices. Worth visiting if you come to Agadir as its one of its main attractions.
Amar H — Google review
Local Souk has absolutely every type of shopping including trinkets, homewares, food and lots of Argan oil! All the stall holders are very nice and you can get an understanding of true, authentic and local Moroccan Souks here.
Emma W — Google review
Not as crowded or bothersome as I expected. Of course you can buy anything from fruit to furniture, but as a backpacking tourist I was mainly interested in the bijouteries (little jewellery shops), clothing stores, fruit stalls and mint tea. Pleasant friendly people, feels very safe, and a good place to try your hand at haggling. Worth a visit, expect to pay around 40 - 50dh for an orange cab to get there from the tourist hotels
Dean W — Google review
The pure beauty of the culture you see at this souk market. Largest souk of Morocco. From clothes to olives you'll find each and everything Morocco has to offer. Sections are - fruits, veggies, herbal products, tourist souvenirs, clothes, tailors, furniture, blinds, curtains, food area , toys , perfumes , juices .......you name it. ❤️ Beautiful 😍😍
Rachit K — Google review
The biggest market in all of Africa. It's really really big and easy to get lost. 😅 But excellent choice of what you can buy there - almost everything you can think of in terms of household stuff. My favourite purchase were the incredible variety of biscuits in bakery shops. Also like the fact that not every seller there goes about persuading you to buy. Don't forget to negotiate. You can also get fresh pomegranate juice literally everywhere in the souk - there are small vendors who sell that.

Anza Beach is a lovely spot with consistent beach breaks, making it perfect for surfing. The area offers surfing schools for beginners and affordable accommodations just minutes away from the beach. While the waves may be too intense for swimming, it's an ideal place to enjoy activities like walking, playing beach games, and surfing. The development of the beach has improved over the years, offering a more enjoyable experience for visitors.
Nice plaxce to come and relax. Not spoiled by laege tourism yet you can find a blend between local and foreign peole. Awesome place to start learning surf

Amazing beach and amazing people! Plenty of places to eat and stay.
Nico K — Google review
Typical beach for locals. Full of people and waste. No toilets, most probably in the sea. No hygienic standards. I don’t recomend it for europeans. I felt like in India at Ganga river. 😂

Great beach, good for surfing, very kind people around
Hasan C — Google review
Nice soft sand but the sea looks a bit murky
Dawood M — Google review
The beach is great for walking and surfing. Playing beach ball. But not swimming. Due to high waves it's a great place for surfers but a danger for kids. There are some rocky areas for sitting. And some sitting areas. The beach is mostly empty.
Mahmoud B — Google review
A beach mainly for surfers and locals. Unfortunately, like everywhere else in Morocco, it is full of trash and stray dogs and cats. Walking between the buildings nearby was not exactly pleasant.

Agadir Beach, also known as شاطئ أكادير, is a year-round haven for beach lovers with its abundant sunshine and expansive coastline. The clean, golden sands stretch for miles along the calm waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Visitors can revel in breathtaking sunsets and enjoy the soothing waves while taking advantage of nearby dining options. This picturesque destination offers peace and tranquility, making it an unforgettable experience for anyone seeking natural beauty and relaxation.
Very clean and beautiful beach! Police are present and patrolling the beach. Plenty of rubbish bins provided and deck chair areas look like controlled. Plenty of space to put your towel down and enjoy this beauty 😍 Btw... nice promenade too
Macaquinha S — Google review
Agadir Beach is undeniably beautiful, with long stretches of sand and a picturesque setting. However, when we visited, it was quite cold, with chilly winds and very cold water, which made it hard to fully enjoy the beach. Despite the weather, the location is lovely, and I imagine it’s perfect during warmer months. Unfortunately, we couldn’t make the most of it due to the colder conditions, but it’s definitely worth a visit when the weather is more pleasant.

Beautiful beach ! Beautiful sunset. The mountain looks cool after dark too. Restaurants on the beach as well. Only con is people don't leave you alone if you're alone.

Out of all the beaches I've been to, I think this beach is my favourite so far. Even if it's super busy, it's big enough to have space for yourself and not have random people up in your face. If my face didn't burn so fast, I could easily spend the whole day here.

Agadir Oufella is a must-visit attraction in Agadir, Morocco. The Kasbah offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the Atlantic Ocean. Exploring the ruins of this ancient fortress allows visitors to immerse themselves in the rich history and stunning architecture of the region. Just a short drive away lies Paradise Valley, a hidden gem boasting lush greenery, cascading waterfalls, and natural pools perfect for a refreshing swim.
Must visit when in Agadir - We walked up and down on the rustic path, 20 minutes each way. There are lovely stop and exercise spots. The path is not even so if you need something flat, walk on the road, which takes a little longer. You can also take the cable car up if you wish, or the bus or a taxi. Amazing views from the top. Recommended at sunset.
Jody B — Google review
This is a replica of a castle that you can walk around from the outside, offering some nice views. There is also the option to buy a ticket for 90 MAD to go inside, but I would not recommend it, as there is nothing really interesting to see inside. Unfortunately, the outside area is heavily littered, which spoils the overall impression.
Moritz E — Google review
Spectacular view of Agadir especially if you head up around sunset. There are multiple ways to get to the top, but we chose the most convenient option which was the cable cars at a cost of 130MAD (around £10 GBP) per person and it took around 8 minutes each way. You can buy tickets for entry and the cable car at anytime at the ticket office. We spent a few hours at the top just soaking up the scenery and taking photos. The toilets are only at the cable car entrance though.
Alex B — Google review
Enjoyed the ride and walking around the kasbah. The cable car is short, around 10 minutes but worth it. You can pay more and go VIP if you want a pod to yourself. The views from the top are fabulous. Definitely worth a visit. The evening is good if you can get the sunset. Taxis are reasonably cheap and will wait for you at the bottom.
Julie G — Google review
Beautiful experience. Walked from our hotel to the bottom of the road leading to the Kasbah by the fish market and caught the local bus for 8MAD per person. It was dusk when we arrived at the top then we got to see the views lit at night so essentially two different view points. Brought a magnetic from a seller but declined a camel ride! I have also been on the cable car previously and that is fantastic; a safe, slow and smooth ride. This is a must have visit for anyone in Morocco 🇲🇦
Little T — Google review
You can go up either by bus (L24), taxi or cable car. Walking around the place is free but if you want to enter the fortress you must pay an entrance fee. Nice view over the city and ocean.
Valeriu — Google review
This is the original fortress which was destroyed by the 1960 earthquake. The entrance fee is 90 Dirhams per person which is very reasonable. You need to pay this to go inside but you can walk around the outside for free. The inside is easily walkable and has information signposted to read.
Meeny R — Google review
Mostly disappointing You pay 9 euro entrance for very little explainatory text, even less to see (except a reconstructed wall, which you can see from the outside)..add to that 13 euro for a round trip with the lift, and you have money not well spend. The view is nice, but thats about it.

Restaurant
Nestled in Agadir's chic Marina district, Restaurant Les Blancs is a sleek and modern retreat offering a vibrant array of Spanish paellas, from black squid ink rice to green rice with vegetables and red king prawns. The restaurant features a contemporary indoor dining area as well as an informal bar-restaurant with boardwalk-style flooring and expansive windows that provide stunning views of the bay. Additionally, guests can enjoy the outdoor terrace adorned with woven seagrass umbrellas.
Great sheltered spot on the beach (especially if it’s windy) sunbeds on the beach too 100 mad for 2. Staff are friendly and service is good. Great cocktails and beers good too not cheap at £4 a pint but not too bad!) worth it for the view and relaxation.
Nigel H — Google review
A restaurant that stands out among many others – both for the quality of its dishes and its service. The seafood paella tastes like the ocean – prepared with attention to flavor and presentation. The fondant was exceptionally delicate and simply melted in the mouth. The service deserves special recognition – polite, discreet, and refined, especially the senior staff who bring a sense of elegance and class to the place. An added bonus is the ocean view, which creates a truly pleasant atmosphere. Thank you.
Agnieszka W — Google review
The only cafe/restaurant in Agadir that's actually directly on the beach. Also the only real private beach club with sea/beach assess. It has a lovely quality feel and is of a 5 star hotel standard. The seating areas have a lovely beach/sea view. I enjoyed some sparkling water and an avocado juice. It was the first time I'd had it served with a fresh slice of Avo fruit, which was a lovely and luxurious touch. Professional service and good value for money.
Jody B — Google review
Had a wonderful lunch here today with my partner. Atmosphere is fantastic. Drinks are gorgeous, we had the sangria de cava. Tapas were beautiful. Best food in agadir so far. Tapas portions are huge ! Order with caution 🤣 we ordered too much food.
Nicole P — Google review
A special spot next to where the beach meets the harbour. Ideal for a morning coffee or a midday beverage. I didn't get the chance to try the food but options looked very nice. Just to sit and relax. The decor and settings were lovely and chilled, more up market than most of the other places. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Sacred_M — Google review
Food is DIVINE. We had an assortment of tapas and it was some of the freshest seafood we’ve ever had - prawn carpaccio in particular is perfect. Fast and friendly service, and the atmosphere on the terrace is lovely. Drinks delicious and really reasonably priced.
Katie A — Google review
I always find a little regular when on holidays and this is mine in Morrocco Agidar, such a lovely peaceful place to have a cocktail, the beach views are a big bonus, very friendly staff- very attentive with a friendly approach. Staff look after the customers very well. Haven't tried food yet, but cocktails are so nice 😍😍😍😍.
Debra G — Google review
In an amazing spot that gives it a view across the beach and the bay, this very expensive restaurant is rather tired (broken glass panels at the roadside) and the whole experience was very underwhelming. The grubby plastic menus suggest this is a Spanish restaurant (‘Les Blanc’?!) and we ordered patatas bravas and calamari… they were both great, spicy patatas and large crispy, lightly battered calamari. Sadly a second order of Calamari 30m later proved the forst to be a fluke. This second plate was cold, soggy and (as it turns out perhaps thankfully) felt like a half portion. Drinks (cocktails) were fine, if not special. As the restaurants here allow smoking everywhere, it didn’t help that adjacent diners smoked as we dined. Service was pleasant. The prices alone would be reasonable enough to stay away, but the inconsistent food and tired appearance should be heeded. Elsewhere in local restaurants without these great views, we’ve enjoyed fantastic local food in spotless interiors at 1/5 these prices. Seek them out and avoid this expensive let down.

Agadir Beach is a popular destination located on the Atlantic Coast in southern Morocco, attracting both locals and tourists seeking sunshine and warm temperatures. The beach features a five-kilometer promenade alongside wide sandy shores and crystal-clear waters. It is known for its natural beauty, making it an ideal spot for swimming and enjoying the calm atmosphere. Families with children can feel safe here as there are constant patrols by rescuers.
Huge clean sandy beach with lifeguards, cafes, shops and restaurants behind the promenade. Water is clean and can have quite big waves. Loungers and umbrellas for hire, we used the area in front of 'Jour et Nuit' cafe. The people there are super helpful and also offer food delivery. Safe place, used by locals l, families, sports teams and surfers. Surfboards for hire. Lovely sunsets. Yes there are beach vendors but they don't bother you if you say no thanks.
Iain M — Google review
Great, nice and clean beach equipped with everything, including lifeguards. We visited it during the last week of April 2025. The weather was great, always sunny and warm at noon and the afternoon, while cloudy and chilly in the morning and late evening. The beach is huge and long, all amenities available, full of cafes, restaurants, hotels, ice-cream vendors, souvenir shops; and above all a lot of Police patrolling the area for public safety. In some areas, the soccer playing youth bother you but you can move away. You feel safe. The mountain nearby adds charm to the view.
Jay M — Google review
Firstly I would say that if you are looking for a 2 week sunny holiday, Agadir is not the place to go during July or August. We had a lot of days that were complete mist or fog with no sun at all. But watching the kids play football every morning was great fun, and the life guards are great
Jo J — Google review

“Absolutely stunning beach! The sand is soft and golden, the water is clean, and the atmosphere is so relaxing. Perfect for a morning walk, sunbathing, or watching the sunset. The promenade is lively with cafés and restaurants, yet the beach still feels calm and spacious. One of the best places to enjoy in Agadir. Highly recommended!”
Ryan O — Google review
It’s a nice sandy beach which stretches out across for miles but… and here’s the all important information for anyone visiting. * There were NO showers (at time of visit) or even any taps with running water for visitors and nearby hotel guests to clean themselves on the beach. We walked back to the hotel covered in sand from top to toe. Not a very flattering sight. The small changing area and showers located on the beach opposite where McDonalds is, was out of use - seemed like it had been decommissioned for some time. We did come across toilet facilities couple of days later on one of our evening walks, near to the public information building which seemed to have a shower but this is at least 1/4 mile from our hotel’s designated area of the beach and not visible from our location. Unable to ascertain if this was free to use or you had to pay. Again no information on this on the promenade or anywhere within the hotel. No clear nor visible signage anywhere. TUI (our travel operator) rep didn’t mention any of this either. * Areas ‘reserved’ for specific hotels and sold as private beach space by hotels and tour operators are all run down and in need of serious upgrade! * There are people begging, along the beachfront where the restaurants are. Not an issue for most people I imagine and they usually go away when you say ‘la shukran’ which means no thank you or do the universal hand gestures to say no. * There is McDonalds, KFC and a couple of other restaurants along one stretch and a number of rundown and vacant premises at time of visit. * We visited in the last week of May and things seemed a lot quieter than anticipated. The whole beach scene wasn’t as lively as we thought it would be based on the numerous travel videos/vlogs watched prior to our visit. Things did start to get busier from 1st & 2nd June. Annual School holiday for Moroccans also begins at this time. If you’re planning to visit and prefer a busier and livelier environment, then do bear this in mind. I strongly believe with a little investment in a few key areas, this could be an amazing beach to all tourists both domestic and international.

Surf Wing Foil School Agadir is nestled in a serene town just 19 kilometers north of Agadir, where the stunning beach offers perfect weather and waves for an unforgettable vacation. This charming location not only provides excellent accommodations for those wishing to stay overnight but also serves as a fantastic hub for wing foiling enthusiasts. Under the expert guidance of Davy, students can embark on an incredible journey into the world of wing foiling.
Fantastic 2hr beginner wing lesson with Davy. He is an excellent teacher, very knowledgeable and friendly. As I had never tried any wing sports in the past we started with the basics, from him showing me the correct way to hold the wing, working on controlling the wing on the beach and then progressing to winging on a skateboard to practice changing directions. A very fun experience and highly recommend if you’re visiting Agadir!

What an amazing teacher and host Davy is. Had a great adventure with him, both in Agadir and Essouira. He chased the wind and the conditions to suit and managed everything inbetween. I highly recommend him to you, whether it is your first attempt or looking for more advanced instruction, he is definitely your man. We had an awesome time and have great memories of our tuition and the adventures we had. Thanks

Last week, I took the 5 days of Wing Foil training from Davy (and Nicola). What a great week it was and how much I've learned! This Wing Foil school has the right teaching method and all the equipment to guide you step-by-step towards the full wing foil experience. The ultimate flying over the water by wind power was an amazing feeling. Dry training on the beach, skateboarding on the boulevard to handle the wing, and jet-ski towing to practice the foiling were all part of the program. I really liked the relaxed and flexible style of teaching and would therefore highly recommend this school.
Dave K — Google review
Amazing wing foiling experience with Davy. I took a 5 lessons wing foiling package which included a Surf Foil towed by a jet-ski lesson. Overall I couldn’t be happier with the experience, I learned a lot about navigating as did not have previous sailing experience and improved daily my wing foiling skills thanks to Davy. Indeed, I had the privilege to have individual lessons with Davy who showcased his high competency and excellent teaching skills. Indeed Davy was extremely attentive and focused on building great wing foiling habits. When an attempt was not successful, Davy systematically identified the issue preventing a successful execution, clearly showed me how the step should be executed and applied different methodologies ensuring success and enabling me to significantly improve. Not only I learned a lot about wing foiling but the discussions were great and a lot of tips were shared about the local life. I highly recommend taking lessons with Davy as not only his wing foiling and teaching skills are impressive but also because he’s a very joyful and friendly person. Thank you again for the experience.

Amazing guy and the only one that truly knows about foiling in this area. Doesnt matter if Wing-Foiling or Surf-Foiling, this is the one to go! He has a structured and smart learning concept, I never expected that I will make progress that fast! 10 times faster learning progress then with any other teacher 200 times faster learning progress then going on your own.... Perched on a hill overlooking Agadir, Kasbah Agadir Oufela is the oldest district in the city, dating back to 1541. Despite being largely destroyed by an earthquake, its colossal walls still stand as a testament to its historic significance. Today, it's a popular spot for hiking and offers stunning panoramic views of the city and the ocean. The Arabic architecture within the kasbah is well-preserved and provides insight into its rich history.
Beautiful view, only tourist bus or public bus dedicated to agadir oufella can take this direction. You can find here a galery of photos with the history of Agadir.

They repaired the outside walls and front door after the 1960 earthquake. But once you have paid your 90MAD ticket...you see what you get for your money. As well as the 120MAD you have paid for the cablecar ride up. Are you ready....NOTHING...apart from 3 cannons which look as if they have been donated from somewhere else, and were going begging! Inside the Casbah the earthquake destroyed everything...so all that left is rubble and more rubble....but...if you are a decking enthusiast, there is walkways of it all around the inside perimeter of the walls...which should make you happy. I've never encountered such a con. They should include this with the fare for the cablecar. It just goes to show you, what curiosity can do! My advise, yes cablecar up was enjoyable, but don't pay to go in...just walk round the outside which is free.

A bit scary drive make sure you have a good and linked driver but dont go on your own car or bus but when your up there its beautiful you can se camels and coast of agadir as you see in the map with the shape and every think. You can see the sea and beach. I dont recommend a camel ride becase of the height and aggressiveness of the camel but the view is beautiful i wish i was back up there.

Agadir ouffela it was tld agadir city before the earthquik at 1961. Its was a strong earthquik that broke all the city. Lot of people die and lot of other people lost all what they had. The covernemet of agadir in this 2 years ago . Start to build it it again . And they still not finish yet but they are doimg a good work. Its a good place to visit. Just bring with u water and somethings to eat because theres only one shop but they charge double price if you wanna buy something.

(Translated by Google) On the top that overlooks Agadir there are the ruins of Kasbah Agadir Oufela, which were apparently destroyed during the earthquake. From above you can admire the views of the city of Agadir, the port and the space around the city, while from below you can see an inscription in Arabic: God, Fatherland and I guess the King, as usual, full of streets.

Outdoor Activities
The Plage d'Agadir is a long, sandy beach and promenade that offers activities like beach volleyball, rugby, and soccer. The area enjoys bright sunshine for 340 days per year, making it perfect for a day of swimming in the cool water. At night during Ramadan, the atmosphere is festive with lots of people celebrating and dancing.
A wonderful clean peaceful beach which goes on for miles. So many families spend all day here. The sand is like sugar and the sea like tap water - clear and clean. The little marina is also wonderful.
L H — Google review
Spacious beach with promenade but lots of rubbish washed up on the shore and stray cats and dogs doing their business. Police patrols make it feel safe.
Bieski — Google review
It such a shame this beach is covered in so much rubbish. It has potential to be so beautiful, but you are constantly moving out the way of rubbish im the sea and sand. Very friend, lots of police presence and venders selling Moroccan tea, coffee and donuts.
Joe — Google review
A very impressive beach and views. Gorgeous sand and a well looked after tourist area generally. Bins, security and top facilities generally. Great views of the Kasbah.
Kevin C — Google review
The beach itself is beautiful and offers an amazing view, but unfortunately it was really disappointing to see how dirty it was. It’s also very crowded, with lots of people walking around selling things. The water was warm, but not clear... there was trash floating around. At one point, I even had a plastic bag wrap around my feet while walking along the shore. Such a shame, because this place could be incredible. Please, take care of your trash!
Beatriz M — Google review
The beach is ideal for sunbathing. Unfortunately, it is far from clean. Almost the entire beach is littered with trash that no one seems to clean up. It is not really possible to swim in the sea because the local lifeguards will whistle at you after a while and tell you to get out.
Jaromír P — Google review
Lovely expanse of beach with a nice walkable promenade. Very Safe both day and evening as patrolled by Police and Soldiers which is not an unusual sight even away from the shore. Some signs of litter but generally each morning the beach is cleaned. Its soft sand and ideal for kids although the sea can be rough and dangerous. On our visit the was a heavy rain storm which caused a flash flood on the river outlets which washed some of the beach away a lot of detritus onto the beach. The clean up and rebuild was on straight way to return it back to it pristine golden sand. Back in UK the beach would have been closed for 6 months to decide what to do. Here they just got on with it heavy earth movers working round beach goers was great to see.
Paul D — Google review
Excellent beach with nice weather. Unfortunately has quite a bit of rubbish. You do see them cleaning every morning but people don't care at all. The view it self is amazing with lots of hotels and plenty of security around so it's extremely safe.

Excellent place to gather with friends or family, perfectly secured and comfy beds. Besides you have the option to get a canopy bed style which is awesome. The real plus is that the beds are in an excellent distance from each others so you get a clear and wide view of the beach in good intimacy. Was an excellent experience !
