Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Located on the southern edge of Corralejo, Acua Water Park is a popular destination for families and thrill-seekers alike. The park features nine different water slides suitable for all ages, a lazy river, a wave pool, and a giant jacuzzi. For those traveling with kids, there's also Gambito Games, an arcade with a bowling alley. Spanning 25,000 square meters, the park offers 14 water features including traditional slides and a wave pool.
Ok, maybe the river part is unimpressive, the waves are okeyish and the slides are average overall, but all this is worth so much more without long lines, crowds, and high prices. The park is reasonably priced, the staff is nice (although weirdly fixated on banning smart watches), and it is fun to spend time there.
Dariusz ( — Google review
Nice waterpark. We've visited with our kids today, 104e for family of 4 is good price in my opinion, weather was average as wind was mad, little sun but apart from that good spot. Many slides and pools for various people. Staff was kind. Make sure you bring warm clothing just in case. Thank you guys.
Lucas D — Google review
Really lovely place and wasn't packed when we went which is always a plus. Their "fast track" is basically hiring out floating. You can either hire out yellow ones and not wait or wait for people to be done with the blue ones on that particular ride. Fun slides and not a mental wave pool. Only one slide (red and black) was able to be used with a double ring. All the others were with no ring at all. And no slides are for like a family to go down, which was disappointing. Also the lazy river really needs more of a current. The amount of times we got stuck still and had to use the walls to push off. Ended up getting out and pushing my son in the ring. It was a lazy river but not lazy for yourself. More of a work out by the end of it lol. Overall probably wouldn't go back but did have a really good time
Kayla G — Google review
Really enjoyed our trip to Acua Water Park. It's not too expensive (€104 for 2 adults and 2 kids) and we had a great time on all of the slides. Plenty of sun beds available and we got a spot in front of the main slides which worked out well. The kids absolutely loved jumping off the ledges into the 4 metre deep pool - it might have been their favourite thing to do. The lazy river lived up to its name and was very slow. You can to keep paddling or pushing yourself to move. The food was good and reasonably priced. And queues for the rides weren't bad at all. There is an option to rent your own tube for €6, but we didn't and never had to wait long for one. One good thing to note is that the slides all close at 5. We weren't aware of that and would have tried to go on a few more times.
Jamie R — Google review
Although the price is somewhat high, it is a great family day out. The facilities are clean. Lifeguards are everywhere keeping the place save and keep everything moving smooth. Food is ok. I would suggest to bring plenty of snacks and drinks.
David W — Google review
We had a fun day at Acua Park. Lots of different slides to try. All felt safe and well marshalled. Favourites were the Rapid River which I found mildly terrifying. The waits weren't long and we didn't wait too long to pick up blue rings which are used and handed over after various rides. To avoid any wait you can hire the yellow rings you keep and return. Lockers were available for 6Euros, which we took. There was something for all ages and plenty to challenge the cowards among us.
Rich C — Google review
The water park was a great time, little to no wait to get on any of the slides. The wave pool every hour was awesome but could get busy depending on what hour you go. The lazy spa needs so work, it basically doesn't work 😅 but all the other "rides" make up for that! Deffo worth a trip if you are close or the day trip if you are travelling further!
Kyle M — Google review
We had an amazing time at ACUA Water Park, slides are fun and ques are short if any. Highly recommend. We purchased the second day at 19 euros as kids loved it.

Parque Natural de Corralejo is a breathtaking natural reserve located on the northeast coast of Fuerteventura, renowned for its stunning sand dunes and pristine beaches. This park is often considered the crown jewel of Fuerteventura, making it an essential stop for first-time visitors. As you drive through the area, you'll be captivated by the expansive stretches of golden sands that seem to go on forever.
If heaven was a beach. Beautiful area with amazing, clear seas and rolling sand dunes. Clean and spacious- please, lets keep it this way. Take your litter home and keep this gem a rare paradise
Darren ( — Google review
A stunning, expansive beach with almost white, powdery sand. The water is icy cold but crystal clear. The surrounding dunes add a unique and beautiful touch to the scenery. There’s plenty of roadside parking since the beach stretches out over a large area. For me, it’s the most beautiful beach on the island – an absolute must-visit while in Fuerteventura.
Viktoria W — Google review
Interesting and fun. Kite flying and surfers. Sand dunes deceptively difficult to climb
Debbie T — Google review
Beautiful beach and sand dunes
Mark D — Google review
Huge beach, fantastic dunes, something beautiful. Similar to the dunes in the Polish Słowiński National Park, but much larger. And the water is much cleaner and nicer.
Gośka B — Google review
Beautifully white and soft sandy beach, worth a trip. We stopped off of the dune buggy tour, would have loved to have stayed longer.
Ben — Google review
Beautiful walk, crystal clear water, white sands
Catherine M — Google review
It’s absolutely stunning here, you will not regret your visit! Climbing the huge dunes to see the crystal clear ocean on the other side and Lobos Island was incredible. Not overly busy as the beach is massive so you won’t feel crowded. We saw a rainbow cloud whilst there which was magnificent, I didn’t even know these existed until I saw it. 100% recommend the visit.

Island
Nature & Parks
Lobos Island, a protected islet with a 19th-century lighthouse, boasts diverse flora and fauna. It requires a special permit from the Island Council of Fuerteventura for visitors due to its protected status. The island offers opportunities for hiking, surfing, and enjoying tranquil beaches away from crowds.
Great destination for a day trip in the north of Fuerteventura. A ferry takes those interested from Corralejo to the island. The ticket costs no more than 20 euros per person. The island is home to beautiful nature, a large mountain and a beautiful lighthouse. You should allow about three hours to see everything. There is also a small restaurant near the ferry dock.
Oskar V — Google review
Took a return ticket with Naviera Nortour company 15th March 2025 (€17 return, left on the 11.15 and returned on the 16:00). Island itself is strangely alluring. Unfortunately I found it pretty busy in the main two places to swim (Puertito Isla de Lobos and Playa de la Concha) - not heaving, but enough to be annoying in the key photogenic spots. I don’t know what’s happening with the authorisation that people are meant to get to visit this island, allegedly limiting the visitor numbers to max 400 per day in 2 “shifts”, morning and afternoon. No one mentioned this once when purchasing tickets or boarding the ferry. A shame because there were so many companies offering boats there, I am sure that these combinations exceed 400 people per day. I hiked around 13km (I only had Converse on, nothing more than that). The lighthouse was a nice place to break up the day, approx 1hr from either direction at an estimate - I came prepared with fresh bread, ham and cheese and had a small picnic. I had stopped by the chiringuito upon arrival, as advised to make a booking, but they had no fish and a bunch of other stuff off menu so I didn’t bother in the end and was grateful I had planned ahead just in case. There was some shade finally at the lighthouse - lacking elsewhere on the loop. Also very nice views over the island itself and out towards Lanzarote. As most reviews state - no toilets or shops, slather on the suncream as it’s sunny AND windy, hats and everything. I was worried the 4+ hours I had on the island would be too long but with the loop walk and a swim at the end it was the most perfectly timed day.
Alice G — Google review
Beautiful Island with crystal blue clear water. Reminds of similar places in the caribbean. Can get crowded though during peak season. Should be a great place to snorkel. We tried it but we had more succes seeing different kinds of marine life in other places on Fuerteventura, like Morro Jable and Gran Tarajal . But because it's a cove the water is very calm and thanks the clarity there is great visibility. Be sure to stay on the paths because the island is a protected nature reserve. If you don't you may get yelled at by locals. There a multiple compagnies that offer day trips to the island, all departing from Coralejo. So take the ferry and have a relaxing day at Isla de Lobos!
Bram S — Google review
Very nice island at the north of Fuertaventura We came here and anchored amd explored before the trippers arrived. There is one restaurant that is open 10.30 - 300 Mon - Fri only

one of my best hikes so far! no shadow, 3h around the island with small mountain and amazing laguna at the end. just start and go rightways around. u can see fuerteventura & lanzarote.
Andreas J — Google review
Amazing!! There’s nothing I can say about this beautiful peaceful and quiet place but amazing!! I loved my short journey here and I would go back in a heartbeat
Nord M — Google review
Wonderful island near Corralejo, Fuerteventura. Accessible by boat with a range of competitors providing options from little speed boats through to larger craft costing around €16 for a day return trip. You can walk around the whole island on a circular route in 2-2.5 hours which we found well worth it to sample the fascinating range of landscapes on the island. The volcano Montana La Caldera to the west of the island is well worth the climb although it can be busy with tourists. There is a nice beach (Playa de la Concha) 10-15 minutes from the port. We went there to relax after our long walk until our return boat. There are no real facilities on the island so make sure you bring food and drink. There is also limited opportunities for shade. Very nice place to visit though and highly recommended.
Nick H — Google review
Stunning island with amazing scenery and a really nice walk. You do have book in advance to get the boat to the island as I believe there is a daily capacity on how many visitors the island can have. Be sure to take comfortable footwear and plenty of water and snacks. Make sure to use the bins located around the walking path for any trash :)

Popcorn Beach House, also known as El Hierro Beach, is located on the northern tip of Fuerteventura. The beach is named after the white corals that resemble popcorn and are actually exoskeletons of small marine creatures. It's important to note that these corals are protected, so taking them from the beach is illegal. The area is popular for wind and kite surfing, with plenty of rocks making it a great spot for snorkeling.
The small "rocks" actually looks like popcorn 😅 They are small white algae fossils. The beach is about half an hour on bike, one hour on foot or 10 minutes car ride, from Corralejo. Worth a visit.
Laila B — Google review
Beatiful beach. Expected more popcorn formations however you find it only in patches. Fun walk on the black rocks hunting for crabs for both adults and children. Road is quite rocky, like 5 min frim the main road. Worth the visit.
Edina C — Google review
The beach is very beautiful but our experience was ruined because we got isolently robbed. They broke into our LOCKED car. They stole our money and backpacks and threw them all over the road. I had to collect my stuff one by one it was exhausting. Everyone who wants to go there BE CAREFULLL AND TAKE EVERTHING EXPENSIVE or sentimental WITH YOU.
Ufxeuzyez H — Google review
Beautiful beach, but please be aware, don’t leave your stuff in a car. Today somebody got into our car which was on the parking near the beach and stole all the cash from wallets!!!!
Анастасія Б — Google review
Well, the way to get there was not easy. It's offroad and you have to be careful driving. The beach is partly filled with the popcorn sand. Swimming is not possible here. For surfers might not be bad.

Shopping mall
Centro Comercial Las Palmeras is a European cuisine hub, offering a convenient setting for a satisfying meal and inviting guests to enjoy drinks in the lounge bar. It's situated on the main street of Corralejo, surrounded by various shops and an outdoor center. The shopping center caters to all needs with clothing stores, a rooftop restaurant, arcade games area for children, supermarket, cafes, and ice cream parlors.
In the modern part of Corralejo this mall occupies a very prominent position on the main street. Good selection of shops bars and eateries with free parking underneath. Really adds to the very swish part of the town.
Malcolm J — Google review
Nice shopping mall/complex with a variety of shops to purchase from. Ground floor has a few eating /refreshments places.Escalators to get to different floors & toilets on 2 floors as well.
Alan G — Google review
Nice shopping place for families or single visitors. Electronics market, some Caffè's and restaurants and shops. And the best ice creams we had in long time!
Rafal O — Google review
To be honest.. This place is a bit of a disappointment. It's one of those malls that look big, with lots of choice, but in the end there's really not much going on. The shops are very small and for my personal taste, not enough good shops. It's a shame!
Justine — Google review
Not too bad for a town centre, has everything you need, good bargains, if you smoke cigarettes are far cheaper in the shops and supermarkets than at the airport also perfumes too are cheaper!
Nick B — Google review
Great Selection of Shops & Eateries!! Very Friendly & Relaxed Cosmopolitan Area!! 👍🏻❤️

The atmosphere here is perfect for families or couples looking to unwind after a day of exploring.

Music square is a great place to go for a drink and a meal or just drinks. It’s a very busy square surrounded by resteraunts and plenty of seating although get there earlier than later if you want to get a table there is a stage where live music is played and if your lucky you’ll get entertained by the local street dancing group who are also very talented. Good vibes and a good place to spend an evening.

Crystalline water, fine sand and most likely some wind too 😝 Corralejo has a cute authentic old town close to the port. Crowd is mainly Italian. Most of the business are also from the Bel Paese. Almost a little 🇮🇹 colony 😎 Stylish but a little more expensive compared to the rest of the island.

Playa de los Verilitos is a crescent-shaped sandy city beach that offers swimming, sunbathing, and surfing. It provides plenty of space to relax under a parasol and enjoy the view of Lobos Islet. Visitors can take a leisurely walk to the adjoining beaches of Playa de la Goleta and Playa del Medio. The beach is relatively quiet with clean facilities including public toilets and showers.
Lovely golden sands and clear water. Little rockpools to explore further along too. It is gently sloping, so ideal for children.
Small G — Google review
Sandy, almost no waves, kids friendly, no sudden drop or stones on an entry. Lots of space, no garbage. Only concern there are no lifeguards in November and there are windserfing, etc lessons starting right from the beach. Considering this people are newbies, they have no control over the board so watch out. It would have been great to mark and separate area for them and do an area for kids or old people swimming

It features around 20 shops and bars arranged around a traditional Spanish courtyard with a central fountain. On Thursdays and Sundays from 9am to 2pm, visitors can meet artisans from all over Fuerteventura selling their handcrafted goods while enjoying live music and local food vendors.
Fantastic shopping square packed with local businesses and markets. Absolutely loved our time exploring. Often live entertainment which is free, a free car park if you are driving and very clean public toilets. A strong community feel here and welcoming bars, shops, cafés and restaurants.

El Campanario is a fantastic, shopping centre and restaurant square. There are a variety of shops and amenities. This means while you can browse good value designer clothes, you can enjoy a meal under the bell tower. Convenient to have a Hiper Dino here and easily accessible. From ice creams to Italian pizzas, El Campanario offers affordable cuisine. Additionally, you can marvel at the stunning views atop el campanario (the belltower) where you can see the whole of Corralejo. Also, all the facilities are well maintained - the toilets are spotless and the streets are swept regularly. We enjoyed coming here on our holiday a lot!

Well worth a visit. Some great shops, supermarket, lots of craft stalls on Thursday. Prices of crafts vary but some are very reasonably priced .Lovely inexpensive cafes, the place manages to be modern, clean and lively, but retains and old fashioned look which is charming. The bell tower has a fantastic view. If you check on maps there's a quick way to the beach which will get you to the main strip a lot quicker.

The overall effect is significantly marred by the giant wind turbines and associated power station to the west which costs it one star. If you ignore that and point your camera away towards Lanzarote and Isla de Lobos you will get some memorable shots. Also here is a really good set of outdoor calisthenics gym stations of just about every variety you could want from pull-up bars, dip bars, monkey bars, stall bars, sit up benches etc etc. Most of it is well maintained although one or two are out of action. Makes for an amazing location for outdoor calisthenics training.

Workout stations along the promenade. Early morning (until 9ish) condensation on surface so be aware of slippage when running fast.

Quite noisy with traffic, beach is rocky & not that pretty, not many benches with back rest. It's quite short also. Not quiet or comfortable enough to sit & read.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Corralejo, The Old Town ~ Public House is a delightful spot that captures the essence of local charm. Surrounded by picturesque windmills, this pub offers a unique atmosphere where friendly staff and excellent service shine. Guests can enjoy an array of distinctive products, including Tennent's beer, while soaking up the sun on their lovely new patio furniture.

Great find. Popped in to ask if they were showing the Rugby, they weren't, but put it in for us anyway. Really lovely staff. Great selection of drinks. Good location, just off the music square. We will definitely be back.

This pub was like an oasis on the horizon as we were visiting Correlejo for the day (staying at El Cotillo). We were greeted by really friendly staff who were attentive but not hovering. It wasn't busy at the time of our visit, but imagine it to be really atmospheric when the sun has gone down and the square it lit up. If we come back to Correlejo we'll definitely visit again.

On a 2 week holiday for my sis in laws 65th birthday.🎊🎉🎂🍾🥂 Found this little gem of a place, staff are great, special mention for Abby, who looked after us so well😄. Prices are great, they also do snacks, such as pies, giant sausage rolls etc, which we didn't try,but looked good. Have to say that the white Sangria is the best we have tasted whilst here 18 euro for 1 litre. 🥂😄 No rushing you, just a chilled laid back vibe.set in a lovely square, and good old tunes,70s/80s. We will definitely be back nxt year.😄😄😄

Playa de la Barreta is one of the options along the coast, offering a nice spot to sunbathe. While some visitors preferred other nearby beaches like Playa del Moro, this beach still received positive feedback for its pleasant atmosphere. It's considered a chillout secret in Bahia Ream and although it may not be anything extraordinary, it's still quite nice and worth considering for a relaxing day by the sea.

(Translated by Google) Playa de la Barreta is actually a fake beach. It's located in front of a luxury resort, and the sand is brought in because it constantly washes away after a few heavy waves. The luxury resort behind it has a sadness that's hard to describe. Two sunbeds with a table between them, facing "to the right," stand lonely, waiting for their equally lonely guests. Green artificial turf has been spread out in front of the building, giving the operators a sense of at least some control over the grass, especially since the sea refuses to cooperate with their financial plan. There's a pavilion in front of the beach, and waiters are again darting back and forth nervously. To keep your job, you have to be constantly on the move in that spot; it's a top-level sport. I recommend walking past this artificial situation on the wooden walkways, where you'll eventually end up on the real beach. Fortunately, there's a law in Spain that prohibits appropriating a piece of beach for yourself, because that would certainly have happened here otherwise. People watch you pass by with dismay. On the way to the non-fake beach. ;)

Apartment complex
Atlantic Garden Beach Mate offers a delightful stay in Fuerteventura, the second largest of the Spanish Canary Islands. The charming family-friendly aparthotel is conveniently located near Corralejo's sandy beach, offering tastefully-appointed 1- to 2-bedroom apartments with fully-equipped kitchens. Guests can enjoy outdoor pools and a pool bar on-site.
Atlantic Gardens Corralejo is a lovely place, we are so glad we chose to stay there. The staff are all welcoming and caring, Valentina on reception makes you feel the resort is delighted that you have arrived and sets the tone for your visit in such a happy way. The rest of the staff are cheerful and positive too. All day every single day the whole place is cleaned, apartments are cleaned, bedding and towels changed, the gardens are trimmed and maintained. The resort is kept immaculate and very comfortable. The staff never stop looking after the place and the guests. It's a joy to be there. The pools are clean and filtered 24/7, with an attendant there and keeping the pools and sun furniture clean and nicely arranged all day. There's a nice bar/cafe by the poolside, everything you need. There's a free book exchange, which guests can use, a nice touch. The shopping centre two minutes walk away has a great supermarket, clothes shops, cafes and bars, all are spotlessly clean and cared for by staff that have pride in their work. They are so good that there is little need to look elsewhere. The main touristy shopping street is a short walk away, as are the beaches and other attractions of Corralejo. We recommend a walk to Chris' Kitchen restaurant, we had lovely food there. We were very happy at Atlantic Gardens and would heartily recommend it to anyone.

Self service accommodation with easy check in and quick replies. Great location and perfect walking distance to both the beach and made area. A lot of privately owned units in the complex and bar just services very light snacks. Over all a nice stay.

Excellent value for money. Staff very friendly & helpful. Large complex but didn't feel busy or crowded. Very peaceful. Nice pool-side bar serving ice cold beer & snacks/ice creams. 3 pools, 1 infant and 2 larger ones. Only slight criticism would be the comfort of the sofa bed, but it's fine for children.

Clean and well equipped. Nice pool and bar area frequented by british nationals, but overall still has an international feel to it. Water supplies to the apartments were regularly cut off in the mornings for short periods, usually when I was in the shower! Close to some good restaurants and a hyper dino. Entry to apartments is controlled so dont forget code!

Atlantic Garden Beach Mate is simple but brilliant. The pool areas are clean and the pools are a good temp. The bar is cheap and friendly (large beer 2.80 and cocktails 5.50). The rooms are simple and clean with basic amenities and kitchen facilities. The location is brilliant. Short walk to the main Street close to rock cafe and retro bar. Next door to the campanero which has a market 2 days a week and lots of nice shops and restaurants. The clientele are a mix of residents and holiday makers creating a really nice atmosphere. It's great and we will be back!

Playa del Pozo is a stunning beach that captivates visitors with its striking blue waters and soft, white sand. Stretching for quite a distance, it offers an ideal setting for leisurely strolls along the shore. While the beach boasts breathtaking views of La Lobos and Lanzarote islands, it's important to note that amenities like restaurants and restrooms are limited in the area.
What a beautiful beach! It truly is so pretty with blue blue water and nice sand. It goes on for a while so it would be a lovely walk! The only thing is there isn’t many restaurants / toilets etc around so make sure you pack up if your going to this beach as you will struggle to find places to eat without going near the hotel or having a walk in the hot hot sun.
Erica J — Google review
A LOT of peeping creeps on the beach. You can't sunbath peacefully in the stone circles without someone disturbing your rest. Be careful and watch out for sneaking and spying perverts. Please vote up if you had a similar experience to warn others. Despite that, a beautiful place with a great view on Lobos island.

To be honest so so. Generally, there are a lot of rocks and cold water. You can visit but can't swim. I would recommend skipping if you don't have time. I found one "popcorn " rock in here.

This beach is completely different at low tide and at high tide. If I put pictures of both here, you'll think it's a different beach. So I only give low tide when it is interesting for a walk and observing the local fauna. It's pretty windy here anyway.

Fantastic white sand beach! Best choice in Fuertaventuera, as for me. Long, clean, almost empty with beautiful views on La Lobos island and Lanzarote island. Located near touristic Corallejo town where you can buy everything and eat. Here you can catch big waves if you're windsurfer. Absolutely perfect destination for a 1-day beach trip.

Small islet, accessible by ferry, with rocky coves & spots for sport fishing, walking & cycling.
It is absolutely worth to visit. It has a Carribbean feeling. On the island is one restaurant. We were 3 hours there...but it would be better one hour more. The water taxi starts from the port of Corralejo. It cost 16 euro for adults. The last one comes at 17:00 back. The guys leave nobody behind...😀

Lovely little island just off Corralejo, easy to visit by water taxi for €15 per person. Lovely beaches, 1 nice little restaurant (book as soon as you arrive as it is only open until 3:30pm)

The taxi boat brings you on a bumpy ride in 15 min from corrajelo harbour to Isla lobos. I would recommend to plan 3 hours here, so you can do everything relaxed. There's a restaurant on the island close where you will arrive. The beaches on the island are nice, clear water. Other than that it's a rocky typically vulcanic little nature paradise. You can also hike up the volcano and look into the crater. There's no shade. Bring a head protection, water and sun screen.

Dunas de Corralejo, located in the Corralejo Natural Park on Fuerteventura, is a vast expanse of golden sand dunes near beautiful beaches and scenic mountains. The coastal zone spans 2.5 by 10.5 kilometers and offers contrasting yet harmonious landscapes. The largest dune spread in the Canary Islands can be found here, with white sands meeting the turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
The most amazing thing in the island!!!!! Worth to see itttt!!!It was lovely and kids friendly!!!! The place over there amazing. Even with rain I enjoyed it so muchhh because I live in UK soo I don’t mind the weather as you see clearly🥰🥰🥰🥰

Amazing beach with fine sand and turquoise sea water. Despite very strong waves we had a wonderful time. We went today (Saturday) and the car park was nearly full. Not sure how it is during the week. Luck of nearby facilities so please bring your own lunch, snacks and water. We had a little umbrella with us which gave us a little bit of shade :)

This is just an incredible place! Breathtaking landscapes, the feeling of being on another planet. It looks like a small wonder of the world. We took wonderful photos to remember and will definitely come back! This place is definitely worth a visit! We are very happy that we managed to walk through these sand dunes!

This is a beautiful beach! Soft golden sand and crystal clear sea! Ideal for sunning and snorkeling with plenty of fish near the rocks so take some stale bread. There are a few nudists here but they mostly keep out of sight. Parking is difficult most of the time

Nice beach with not too many people. No toilettes, but perfect for surfing (beginner & intermediate). There are some stones in the water, but mostly sand. Surfing worked best for us during low tide. Parkingspots are for free right by the beach. Just be careful when you park in the sand- many cars around us got stuck.
Madeline M — Google review
best place to swim around with kids - calm waters, crystal clear and more warm than on western part of island. plus beautiful dunas all around - must see when in fuerteventura

Lovely sandy beach. Lifeguards on site to keep you safe. Crystal clear water and beautiful view over the dunes. Perfect for a real beach day. Wide parking lot at a short distance from the beach.

Beautiful colors of the sea. The only remark is that there is no restaurant there, so no coffee and cold drinks available and we couldn't stay long on this beach. I guess for some people this is an advantage

Beach
Playa del Bajo de la Burra, also known as Popcorn Beach, is a picturesque stretch of shoreline on the northern coast of Fuerteventura. This beach earned its nickname from the countless calcium carbonate husks that wash ashore after red algae die and harden at sea. The beach has been recognized with a Blue Flag for cleanliness and facilities, making it popular with families due to its shallow waters that allow kids to play safely.
so called popcorn beach not the easiest access using rocky roads (off road is not insured by most of hire companies) so a long walk in a sun but was well worth it there is not much around and you can't really swim there as very rocky but the popcorn 🍿 is really a thing (remember not to take any with you as this is protected area) it wasn't very busy (december)
Magdalena G — Google review
Looks like popcorn 🍿🍿🍿 ⭐!! No toilets, windy beach and usually difficult for swimming. Walkable didtance from Corralejo but it's about an hour. By car is fine but the street is not paved, so keep that in mind. Good for a quick stop, please respect the environment. You're not allowed to take the popcorn stones with you!!!
Marco P — Google review
Absolutely stunning! Popcorn Beach is the most amazing beach I’ve ever seen! Instead of sand, it’s covered in natural white coral stones that really look like popcorn — it’s surreal. The view is breathtaking: ocean waves, wind, and a truly otherworldly landscape. Perfect spot for photos, walks, and soaking up the unique atmosphere. Highly recommend visiting!
OKSANA T — Google review
In fact, it is a very cozy and unique place. You will not find such a beach anywhere. But before going there we looked at the reviews and photos of other people, and the beach is smaller than in the photo. However, you definitely need to visit it, because it is unique!

Beautiful unspoilt beach. Requires a car to reach from Corralejo to the north and a walk across the dunes. Occasional life guard stations. No shops or toilets.

For us staying in Corralejo this was the place to be: parking lot nearby, close access to the Beach, lifeguard and beautiful Sand. Not too big waves so WE could go into the water with the Kids at any time

A good surfing spot for beginners, sometimes. When it's flat and sunny it looks like the caribbean sea. Across the road you can walk the sand dunes. A popular spot with families. Of course, bring your own food and water.

The beach Playa De La Concha De Lobos is located in the Isla de Lobos and it's a perfect stop for anyone who enjoys natural landscapes and clear waters. The most striking part of this beach is the view of the Corralejo dunes, which can be seen from many spots on the beach.
Lovely little beach! Peaceful and not crowded.
Jacob C — Google review
Beautiful Island however... Remember to bring your own food, drink, changing rooms, portable toilet and entertainment. We were told by our tour company that there is a restaurant that sells lovely paella and fish dishes local to lobos. We arrived and we were told there were no more reservations left for the day, I asked should we have booked online and was greeted with a stern no. Considering this is the only restaurant on the island and we were told we can eat here we did not bring any food. The toilets were out of service when we went, I expect they just wanted people to do their business on their lovely island? We did leave early, enjoyed a quick swim and walk. Would not advise listening to tour guides?! Very baron and not much there, I was at least expecting a shop. Also be advised this is apparently a nudist beach too
Emma W — Google review
Nice beach with crystal blue clear water. Even better to snorkle is the nearby Puertito de lobos (a 8 minute walk from this beach and located on the other side of the dock). There a multiple compagnies that offer day trips to the island, all departing from Coralejo. So take the ferry and have a relaxing day at Isla de Lobos!
Bram S — Google review
Beautiful beach, but it's usually very crowded and there is algae floatung in the water
Jurij G — Google review
Beautiful beach 🏖 with no people before 11am. Warmer water, good for kids as it is shallow and protected from waves and main sea. Good for snorkeling too. School of fish can get close.
Pawel J — Google review
Once you decide to spend some time on this uninhabited island, 10 minutes from where you arrive you will find the largest beach. Most of the time, in winter, it will be hard to see someone there, so it may be your place for the duration of your stay, or a large part of it at least. Warm water and low water level, mostly from the shore, make it perfect for kids.
Lukasz T — Google review
If you did snorkeling before, don t go there. there is not anything different to see than at the beaches in fuerteventura. it‘s a rip off! the island is full of volcano stones, when the tide is low, the beaches look horribly dirty and sad, it is boring to swim there. the beaches in fuerte are much better. don‘t fall for it, there is really nothing! crystalclear water is on sardinia or corfu, not in fuerte and surroundings as there is mostly sand. for children the lagoons on lobos are ok because it is quite safe

I can not begin to describe how wonderful this beach was. The golden sands and the turquoise water made me feel incredible. I could not stop admiring the surroundings! You can rent 2 sunbeds and one umbrella for €9 for the entire day, which is an amazing price. There are a few little beach bars around, but I would strongly recommend that you bring your own packed food as the ones that they sell is a little overpriced. There is one little supermaket between the two Riu buildings, which was very helpful. One thing was the lack of toilets on the beach that made me disappointed. There is one facility (or there might be more, only noticed one), but since it's public, its cleanliness is atrocious. Bring your own toiler paper.

Playa la Clavellina is a charming beach located in the center of Corralejo town. This small yet beautiful cove is surrounded by cafes, offering a picturesque setting to enjoy lunch with views overlooking the beach.
This is the ‘casco viejo’ beach, the most authentic part of the town, next to the port. Surely one of the best wind sheltered of the island. Great for swimming.

Playa del Pozo is an isolated sandy beach surrounded by low hills, offering a serene atmosphere for swimming and sunbathing. The beach itself is beautiful, with clear water that’s great for swimming. However, the strong wind often blows sand everywhere, which makes it less comfortable to relax on the shore
Michal Š — Google review
Quite nice beach. Nice sand and beautiful water. Just few people in May Parking lot beside (300m) Some people naked on the beach.
Pascal M — Google review
Great beach but only accessible by boat or walking from carpark at the amenities within natural park or a good 30 minute walk from end of Papagayo Promenade. If walking be sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen. Interesting history and spring wells close by for anyone interested in the history of the area.
David M — Google review
A short walk downhill from the main carpark brings you to this beautiful beach that has only a handful of people on it. Yes, it's true, some were naked, but did not flaunt it and no-one seemed bothered. If you want to try out getting your kit off for the first time, then this beach is perfect if you are a bit self conscious. I'm in my mid fifties and had never done so before. It was very liberating, and because there were so few people on this stretch of beach, made it much easier not to be too body conscious and after two visits, it was great!
Paul C — Google review
The best beach on Lanzarote that you can easily access. There is a path from the Playa Papagayo parking lot, or you can walk along the beach and over some rocky area to get to this beach. This is easier in the morning due to the tide. The end of Playa del Pozo has a nude area. It’s amazing and very freeing to go into the water all naked.

Got tired of the beach so decided to take a hike to the top of the Caldera Volcano. Its a 4.5 km round trip hike from Playa De La Concha. A pair of runners is fine to wear. Great views from the top of the volcano! Plenty of rocks to sit on once at the summit.
Shane B — Google review
A nice walk you must do when visiting Lobos island. It is not difficult to climb and offers good views of the island and the neighbouring Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.
Jurij G — Google review
Great mountain on the west side of the island of Lobos. About 30 minutes walk to the base from the port then 20-30 minutes to walk up. We walked a whole circuit of the island which took about 2.5 hours but was well worth it. There are stone stops up to the mountain top but the path is steep. It can also be quite busy with tourists. It is well worth the effort through with stunning 360 degree views of the island, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. Beware there are no facilities on the island so bring food and drink. No toilets either. Boats link from Corralejo with several competing providers giving lots of options for around €16 round trip. Highly recommended.

In the morning, a stroll was taken and the scenic sights were appreciated. The optimal timing remains uncertain, as the tide rises swiftly. Though flip-flops were worn during the walk, it is advised to opt for shoes instead. Situated on the eastern part of the island lies an exquisite lagoon, displaying remarkable beauty. This destination within Las Lagunitas National Park boasts awe-inspiring magnificence that leaves one in sheer admiration.
A nice experience if you want to spend a day far from the crazy world

Did the walk in the morning and enjoyed the views. Not sure what time is the best but the tide comes in relatively quick. I walked on flip-flops but shoes would be better.

It is a bronze monument that was set on August 16, 2002, as a gift from the municipal community of La Olivia. The monument is dedicated to all fishermen. Commemorates their great efforts to preserve the fishing tradition in El Cotillo. Monumento al Pescador is located on Calle del Muelle de Pescadores. I admired in February 2016.

Marina
Puertito Isla de Lobos is a picturesque island located just two kilometers from the port of Corralejo, accessible by a short and pleasant boat ride. The island boasts ever-changing sea hues throughout the day, stunning yellowish sandy beaches, and tranquil water wells in some areas. Visitors can also enjoy views of the Dunes of Corralejo from here. The island offers cozy bays and beautiful small coves for swimming and relaxation.
Beautiful cove with crystal blue clear water.
Bram S — Google review
Great place. Once your off the boat, there is a small cove to the right and a large beach to the left. Beyond these two places is a lot of walking and for this I would recommend shoes not flip flops. Nice area for snorkeling, swimming of just relaxing.
Chris M — Google review
Absolutely stunning island! We walked the 2 and half hour trail and loved every second of it. We walked anti clockwise, this way you get to enjoy paradise at the end of your walk! Take lunch and frozen water for the journey. Beautiful restaurant where you can buy beers through the wall. Would definitely recommend!
Shona B — Google review
Small island, ferry from Corralejo 17 euro retur ticket. Can walk bike, well marked paths. Few beaches, laguna, green water, can swim with fishes. From puertito can have a great view on the dunes back in Fuerteventura
Szebeni B — Google review
Small village with basic facilities, small hatch selling canned beers, small restaurant. Small environmental awareness hut with toilets at jetty. You can walk path to lighthouse, 50 minutes each way, or bathe on a beach or in a cove . Good views of Fuerteventura. Not much here really, we found 2.5 hours too long.
Nick F — Google review
We were scheduled to go at 9.45ish, the crossing was a bit rough and getting off was quite scary. We were told we had to come back earlier than expected due to the tide,so we had to get picked up at 1, which didn't leave much time. To be honest, there wasn't much there anyway, but was unspoilt and beautiful The crossing back was again quite rough.
Celeste F — Google review
Beautiful 🤩⛱️ We took a zodiac to go there : great experience at this end of afternoon with nice waves = great sensation!
Nicolas P — Google review
I am very disappointed by our trip to La Isla de Lobos. All tourist guides say that it's a perfect place for snorkeling, but that's not true. Maybe only people who have never snorkeled before will enjoy this place. If you are looking for really nice snorkeling spots, don't come to Los Lobos, stay on Fuerteventura. The worst thing is that all the bathrooms on this island close at 15:30. There is only one restaurant, so rather bring your food and drinks. Also bring some beach shelter or a beach umbrella.

Visitor center
The Centro de Visitantes de la Isla de Lobos serves as your gateway to this enchanting little island, just a short ferry ride from Corralejo. Upon arrival, you can gather essential information about the island's unique flora and fauna through informative boards. The center also features a small gift shop and restrooms for your convenience. Once you're equipped with knowledge and supplies—don't forget water and sunscreen—you can explore the stunning landscapes of Lobos Island at your leisure.
Beautiful island, just be carreful because there are not any trees so you are all the time in the sun without any shade and the sun is very very strong.

Lovely island, and a short boat ride away from Corralejo. It is worth a visit, but remember to take water and sunscreen. The beaches are popular, but peaceful if you like to sunbathe and top up your tan. If hiking is your thing then you can trek from top to bottom and cover the whole island on one trip.

Very nice Island. Very bleak however very beautiful. Well worth a walk up to the old caldera of the volcano
Dr T — Google review
Toilets close in winter already at 3:30 PM. Why do the toilets close before the last ship leaves? There is nothing really interesting to see on the island. There is no bench to sit on, no shade, nothing. There aren't even any signs along the path explaining the plant life or the geological forms. The beach is okay, but nothing special. The tour is not worth the money and time. December 2024
O. K — Google review
The boat trip its self was great and we even got a little packed lunch from the group we booked with. However this place is not disabled friendly if you cant walk very far. There is 1 toilet only and the beach and small village are at least a 10 minute walk. It may not seem far but when you have difficulty walking its not fun. We stayed where the boat dropped us off and there was no where to get water or much shade. They could do with a stall or vending machine for water and a shuttle to take disabled guests to the tourist areas.

Straight from the Naviera Nortour ferry, you will get to the information point if you need it. Lobos is a small island. Do not worry. You won't get lost. However, you can get some information about the island's fauna and flora using the information boards. At the information desk, you will find a small gift shop. WC available. Then the Lobos Island is yours until to the last evening ferry to Puerto de Corralejo or... maybe until to the next day. I marched across the Lobos Island from south to the north and from west to the east on Monday, February 8th, 2016.

41Monte Roja

Mountain peak
Monte Roja is a dormant volcano that offers stunning coastal and island vistas. The hike to its summit is relatively easy, with a well-marked trail that is not too rocky, making it accessible for all, including children. Watching the sunrise from this peak is highly recommended. The round trip takes about two hours at a leisurely pace, allowing time to appreciate the breathtaking views. It is a great way to start your day and provides superb panoramic sights both over the ocean and inland.
I'm coming here for 25+ years and still love to walk it. Just a nice path and location to be visiting. The overall pathway towards to mountain can be a bit hard to find if your unfamiliar with the area. If you reach the top the views are stunning. A lot has been build over the years just up to the foot of the mountain.
Robin B — Google review
An extinct volcano that looms over Playa Blanca in Lanzarote. It's not sign posted within the town but only locally. Anybody with moderate fitness will be able to climb this. Once you reach the rim of the Monte Roja, there are obvious pathways to follow, which lead to lovely views out to sea and inland. Well worth the effort.
Mark A — Google review
A really easy access hike, with a standard trail beneath foot. Not too rocky which makes it accessible to most , including kids. Worth visiting to catch the sunrise. Hiking it is maybe a hours walk one way, if you walk the whole rim and back down I’d say maybe two hours (allowing for a leisurely pace stops to admire the views). Great start to the morning !
Clynton W — Google review
This is a really easy hike for anyone, even in the scorching heat! And a very worthwhile view from the top if you can make it! It is easily doable at a leisurely pace in under 2 hours if you walk around the entire volcano. Fantastic views across the island.
Callum E — Google review
A superb climb to the summit of the volcano. The climb was fairly easy and suitable for most age groups. Our young children, eleven and seven, both managed it. When you get to the top you have amazing views for miles around, both out to sea and inland. If you are in the area it is well worth a visit.
Wayne H — Google review
La Montaña Roja is an extinct volcano that can be seen from Playa Blanca. To reach the summit, 198m above sea level, and the crater rim, it takes about 20-30 minutes of easy hike from Avenida Faro de Pechiguera, and another 20-30 minutes to walk around the rim. It can be windy at the summit, so an extra layer is recommended.
Andzej G — Google review
The way to the top of the volcano is relatively pleasant and less difficult. The view is phenomenal over the whole island. In the crater itself, you first perceive the gigantic dimensions. An experience that you should not miss.
Metin — Google review
Definitely worth the walk. It only takes about 40 minutes to get up to the crater from near the sea front on the Playa Blanca side and then 20-30 minutes to walk around it. You will stop to look at the amazing views which is the reason why you should go up it. People have written directions or made arrows out of stones in the housing estate on the way up so you know which way to go.
