Church
Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church is a beautiful and caring community-based church with two great priests who lead lovely masses. The church has a peaceful and prayerful atmosphere, making it feel like being with family every week. While some find the location limited, others appreciate the active and peaceful community that gathers there. Overall, it's known for its fantastic atmosphere and caring community.
Love this church. Christenings, weddings, funerals all held here. Very friendly parishioners and Fr Edmund is a breath of fresh air. Certainly brought the parish together. God bless all who worship here.

We have used this lovely church for many many years for all family events, we have always highly recommended, beautiful church and wonderful priests and staff within, warm, compassionate, caring and thoughtful! , I totally understand this is a catholic church (we are catholics!) as such I am sorry to be giving such a low rating right now, but my dads funeral service was a complete mess and a massive letdown to all the family, me and my mum were so ashamed, Thank you Father O'connor for the total lack of warmth, respect, thought! I got the impression you never wanted to be there! You had no direction, you never greeted us, No eulogy, even though you took information at our meeting about dad and names of his closest family members, not one person nor dads name was mentioned, not one hymn was sung for dad, as no one was given the direction to sit or stand, you spent 10 minutes going on about self destruction, you forgot to do the poem which you wrote down at our meeting and which was on the order of service at the burial and you forgot Earth to earth, Ashes to Ashes, dust to dust.. the whole service was awful! and me and my family are completely destroyed by this, as this was the final act for Dad and his memory that we could do for him and it was ruined by you Father O'connor! I am appalled.

Place of worship
St Thomas & All Saints Church is a Christian church with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It's open to the public for quiet prayer or conversation, and offers services throughout the week, making it convenient for visitors. The church is known for being child-friendly and provides ample free parking. Additionally, it has a hall available for hire. Many have found solace in attending services here, with Reverend Gill Foster providing Holy Communion at home when needed.
I was performing here with my band. We were very well looked after.
Shirley R — Google review
Reason for 3 stars is because pews replaced with chairs. I hate seeing this in churches as it cheapens the look and feel of the church. I know why they do it as mine did the same, but not for me. I am old fashioned. Also attended a funeral recently and the car park was half full of non church attendees.
Ian P — Google review
First time here, sadly it was for a friend's funeral but the church was very pleasant and Reverend Gill Foster gave a great send off for our friend. It wasn't an appropriate time to take any photos.
Sam A — Google review
What is there to say! It's a Christian church that has a fantastic welcoming feel to it. Unlike most churches these days it's open to the public to come and have a chat or just quiet pray. Open from 10-12 Monday to Friday and of course several times on a Sunday. Very children friendly with plenty free parking. And it has a hall available for hire. A great place to recharge your spiritual batteries. Very highly recommend.
Adrian M — Google review
A great church with very welcoming staff

We usually attend the 9am service. But haven't been able to, due to my Mother's health. The Reverend Gill Foster has given us Holy Communion at home, which had helped the whole family. Thank you Gill. So kind.

Sadly, we were there for a funeral. That said, it was a nice church with a reasonably sized car park.
