Nestled in a cozy bar near Tacoma's old City Hall, Odd Otter Brewing Company offers a unique experience with its small-batch beers and local cider. The intimate taproom exudes a rustic charm and hosts live music nights featuring local artists. While they don't serve food on-site, guests are welcome to bring their own or order from nearby eateries. The brewery is known for its quirky atmosphere, friendly staff, and an adorable otter-themed logo.
We love love love the Odd Otter! Aside from their freaking cute logo they have, the beer selection is pretty dang good. They have seasonal beers along with just a legit rotating selection. The staff is always so nice and helpful and the actual place is just really clean and nice and welcoming.

Great locally owned spot, with a fantastic selection and knowledgeable staff. Don't know what to grab, they offer flights!! Wednesday night trivia, large enough tables for group game night. Food is fantastic, kitchen closes 30 minutes before.
C J — Google review
Odd otter has great beer and phenomenal service, very relaxing atmosphere and fun place to hangout. Gotta try a flight and grab some to go beers. Their ottermelon hefe is delicious and must try their schmoozie! Such a huge fan of this brewery, we've been twice from out of town and each time very pleased! #keepitodd

Cute name and cute decor with a few good beers. I’m from out of state but stop here when in the area for past 6 years. That’s the good. The bad is the bartender I’ve had the past few times is not very friendly. I sit at the bar and she just chats with friends or is on her phone. Seems like most of the clientele are same. If you just want a beer and then get on your way this is the place for you. If you are looking for friendly small talk pass it by. Like I said a few good beers but not great. They added some food truck offerings. Conveniently located if staying downtown. Will I stop again next time again when in town. Not sure. So I’m rating as average for now.

We love this little brewery in downtown Tacoma! Dog friendly inside and outside. Nice selection of brews, love their IPAs. Can bring food in or they have a menu from the place next door it can get delivered over. Karaoke on Tuesdays!
Courtney B — Google review
Really nice bar with friendly bartenders. Great beers and good atmosphere. Trivia was a lot of fun here too!
Don't F — Google review
Only saving grace for this spot is the restaurant next door. No remarkable beers and certainly nothing I would recommend. Many other places had other breweries to suggest and I wish we'd followed their guidance. Staff was uninterested and engaged very little. Cool decor but sadly a huge miss.
Emily F — Google review
This is a must go to in Tacoma! If your here for a conference it’s close by and the beer is amazing! We had flights, and they were all amazing, (not lying) I can’t remember the last time I went to a brewery and loved everything I tried! The service was perfect with a fun vibe! I didn’t try the same things my mom did she also loved her flight! (she included seltzers!) Must see/drink!

Sig Brewing Company, nestled in Tacoma's historic Brewery District, has redefined the brewpub experience with its innovative approach to food and beer. Led by chefs Hailey Hernandez and Joey Clark, the establishment offers a diverse menu featuring dishes like tteokbokki, grits and pork shoulder, and al pastor pizza. Meanwhile, head brewer Jeff Stokes showcases his creativity with an array of craft beers ranging from yuzu sour to churro-inspired stout.
I’m indifferent to beer, but I love good food and let me tell you THIS was good food. The pizza was phenomenal. Three dates pizza is very spicy so be aware. I have never thought to get deviled eggs but honestly, they were the best deviled eggs I’ve ever eaten in my life. Even the House salad, which one would expect to be super basic, was very delightful. We had flights of beer that were unique and tasty and they had a great music selection. I really enjoyed it. I hope they stick around. Please come and check it out! Plus our servers Matt’s and Andrea were great!

Good pizza, friendly staff, SOLID beer. Need I say more? Shown is the Spekemat pizza and the terraformation: fuzzy hazy ipa. Both quite delicious! Kid friendly until 7pm. I appreciate businesses that have a compromise like this. I was able to show up with my daughter, eat some pizza, have some small pours of the delicious beer and everyone was happy. I bring a chair for my daughter so she stays at the table with me. Overall, I definitely recommend stopping in to Sig Brewing.

Best pizza I have ever had in Tacoma! Got the Queen Margarita. Will eat here again. They also brew a unique variety of beer on site.
Roger S — Google review
We came here with a group of 10 and ordered many different menu items. Everything was delicious and we enjoyed all the beers! The Third Date pizza was really spicy. I especially liked the broccolini and gnocchi.

Great drinks and atmosphere. Staff was super friendly and helpful. My husband and I loved the food and drinks. We will be coming back!

Pizza is superb! Beers are very good full of flavor. Cider is strong and tasty. Sliders have a great consistency and the pickles give it a nice crunch! Love the food highly recommend!

Food is awesome. Great selection of beer that changes frequently so always something new to try. Love the cider and the slushies. Andrea our server is awesome! Just added the amazing Fall Salad. It is tasty. Tu The Brussels are on point as well.

Great beer and great eggs! My son, Tiberius, demolished the eggs. Will be back again for some egg action. Thanks Sig Brewing for your hospitality.

Located in Tacoma's Brewery District, 7 Seas Brewery and Taproom has been a vibrant part of the community since 2016. Housed within the historic Heidelberg Brewery, it honors tradition while embracing innovation. The brewery offers a diverse selection of beers crafted with a deep understanding of ingredients and their interactions. Visitors can savor delicious smashburgers and generous salads at the taproom, along with a reasonably priced seafood roll featuring lobster and white fish.
From appetizers to the main dishes the food was very good! Definitely above your average bar food. And the pricing was good at below $20 per plate for most (might be biased coming from the NYC area). The non alcoholic beer I had was extremely good as well, it was lemon something... wish i remembered the name. Great open vibe with brewery setting and the bar and food station setups are good. Definitely check it out if you are in the area!
Woo K — Google review
The main room was very open and had a lot of seating options for small and large groups, I appreciated that there was food available! The beer selection was good, had a solid Pilsner, I would definitely go back again
Chloe S — Google review
This place is spectacular. The beer is very good with 18 brews across many styles on tap including a couple of guest handles. The taproom has an awesome view with other businesses and many sitting/entertainment options available. Could spend a whole day here. We had 4 and 6 samples (up to 8) and really got a sense of the craft here at 7 seas.
Nick C — Google review
Great beers, fun location, excellent staff. You'll love the vibes here. The taproom is very spacious overlooking the brewery with lots of options for seating either on couches, standard height tables, or high tops. Reserve the private room for your group event for a little extra privacy. Hungry for a bite, grab food from the Camp Colvos Canteen located inside. This is a family friendly brewery and accessible with an elevator up to the main floor. Lots of options for games to keep you busy if you need something other than just great conversation. And of course the beer selection won't let you down. Whether you want a classic Tacoma Heidelberg, or one of the other tasty 7 Seas brews, you won't be disappointed.

Big beautiful bar, eatery, shuffleboard, pinball, parties, ect! Fast, knowledgeable and friendly staff! Ask for recommendations as they know wats umm umm good!! Forgot to inquire about happy hour but I had the Chicken Ceasar Wrap which was yummy on daily special for 15 dollars! The Bubbly wine recommendation at the bar was was refreshing and good!
Mojo J — Google review
I have mixed feelings about this place. Initially, I was impressed by the atmosphere and the layout. Nice decor, comply couches, spacious and tall celeangs. The party room was kind of blant, resembling more of mom and pop low end burger joint on route 66. Not an issue there. I was driving and could not drink any alcohol, so I went the bar to ask for a sugar free soda. They do not carry any sugar free anything! What? How many people are they shunning away? Their bad business decisions are their right afer all. Then I went to use the restroom. As you can see in the pictures, the man's room and the door, or lack of it, is located in direct view of the bar and people walking around. For ladies to walk to the ladies room, they have to walk pass the men room. Here is the crazy: the men's room has only an old west style swing doors about waste high and they don't even close right, so any woman, or a child, specifically your girls,.some as young as 9, 10, 11 or 12 years old are.looking directly inside the man's urinals watching grown men urinate as the pass by, or they can just stand between the bar and the entrance to the toilets and see it all inside. I was there for a party and we had at least 10 children in our group, but there were other people with their kids in the bar too. I was shocked that children were in the bar area just standing around. I thought there were restrictions of the minimum age of 21 for bar patrons?! Anyway, I am shocked at the fact the man's room had no door. I will not be suggesting for anyone to bring their kids there.

Great spot with a good variety of beer and food. I would recommend the Hop Prophet IPA.
Avery W — Google review
This is a nice large brewery and taproom. There is plenty of table seating and several comfortable sofas to hang out. There is also a small arcade with games and a lot of merchandise for sale. We rented a private room for a big party and we’re able to get our beer and drinks at the bar. They allowed us to bring our own catered food even though they serve good. Highly recommended!

Wow what a great place! The Captains burger was to die for and the beer was excellent. The house made sauces, homemade fries and atmosphere. Someone put some serious thought in the menu and design. My wife and I loved it!
Daniel B — Google review
The beers are excellent. The food is good too. It wasn't very busy when I went, it was a Sunday about 90 minutes before they close. The staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend this place for great beers and food.
Tony N — Google review
I'm always surprised more people don't know about this place. One block up from Seven Seas, Black Fleet Brewing has some seriously tasty brews! It's hard to find smoked beers, even harder to find a good one. Their Fire Ship Smoked Red is outstanding!! One of my favorite beers in Tacoma. Atmosphere? Friendly and inviting with plenty of seating. Food is good and they have some cool merchandise too. This is one of my best kept secrets, so I'm passing it along - go and have fun!
R W — Google review
Fantastic food and beers with outstanding service. The Pub Cheeseburger with the crispy cheese edges is great. Pairs perfectly with the Fire Ship Smoked Red. They also have a great line of merchandise available. The staff is outstanding and always very helpful. Definitely worth the visit.
Eric V — Google review
The hours on their website & their sign on the door say Saturday 3PM-8PM. I was there this past Saturday 9/13 at 6:30PM & the doors were locked clearly closed. No sign & nothing on their social media about being closed. I reached out & they just responded “we’re closed this weekend.” I wish I knew that prior to making the trip there. I went out of my way & don’t like wasting time.
Tim G — Google review
We originally went because we liked the theme and design. The beers were beyond our expectations. We tried beer we normally wouldn't and they were phenomenal. The lager was beyond anything I had ever tried. The Smoked Red was amazing. Everyone was friendly and helpful in answering questions and history. Food was excellent - we had pork nachos and smoked salmon wraps / rolls. It was so good. Everything you want in a brewery. Could spend a whole afternoon here and be happy. Love this place.

Pizza restaurant
Camp Colvos Brewing + Pizza Co. is a Vashon-based brewery that has expanded to Tacoma, offering New York style pizza and a tasting room. The cup-and-curl roni pie is highly recommended, and they also serve decent cocktails. The place offers big portion sizes for an affordable price, making it a great spot to hang out with friends or even get some work done. Visitors praise the authentic aroma of the pizza and the cozy warm atmosphere inside and outside the venue.
Great pizza here, and the portions are huge! On a Sunday evening, we were easily able to get patio seating. Plenty of options for both pizza and beer. Great service and a great outdoor space to relax, and it's dog friendly! Definitely coming back! Olympic Otter
Steve H — Google review
I’d get this place delivered weekly if I lived within range! Fun spot for a late lunch. The large pizza is enormous, one piece of the Supreme could feed one person, and there are like 8-10 slices per large. Salads could be shared between 2-3 people as well ($11 per). The house-made garlic ranch was fantastic.
Joe G — Google review
From the outside, it doesn’t look that large, but upon walking in, opens up to a massive area! And then outside is an even larger patio for those summer WA days. The in house beers are delicious and would recommend a flight. The pizzas are New York style and delicious!
Chris L — Google review
Good pizza, good beer. Bartender was super attentive. We got the fancy meat pizza, it was delicious and had some kick to the flavor.
Jonathan R — Google review
I decided to treat my family to pizza at Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital where we’ve been at our son’s bedside for the last 24 days. My wife’s fav is Camp Colvos so I went there. After spending $80+, which included a 20% tip (because their defaults are 18%, 20%, and 22%), I get all the way back to the hospital to serve my family an uncut pizza. No knives available, because this is a hospital and the cafeteria is closed on Sunday. I guess we will rip this apart with our hands and eat it that way.
Riley P — Google review
Wow … straight out of NYC!! This is - by far - the best NY style pizza I have had outside of NYC. Super thin, crispy crust and top notch ingredients. HIGHLY recommend.
Jeff A — Google review
Love love love the pizza here. Price was very affordable & who doesn’t love on tab beer? Would highly recommend for anyone in the downtown Tacoma area
Chris K — Google review
Stopped in here with my elderly parents after a long day, expecting a good meal based on the glowing reviews. Unfortunately, it was a huge mistake. The restaurant wasn’t busy inside, but the entire outdoor patio was reserved. My father, trying to be helpful while I was still on my way, went to order for us. It’s fast-casual, so you order at the counter. The staff told him that because a private party had “a bunch of pizza coming,” whole pies wouldn’t be ready for over an hour. They suggested we order by the slice if we wanted food sooner. Wanting to make sure everyone got something, my elderly father ordered 1–2 slices of three different types of pizza. We ended up ordering 4 more slices later. It took over an hour and an half anyway for the original 5 slices. In the end, we effectively bought an entire pizza—slice by slice—paying far more than the price of a whole pie, which he wanted to order originally and waiting just as long as if we had ordered one. My poor exhausted elderly father was so embarrassed when he finally escaped the cacophony and realized he had purchased an entire pizza by the slice. I truly believe the staff took advantage of a senior who trusted their guidance. The “private party” was a loud group of drunk guests. The brick-and-concrete interior made their shouting annoying but bearable, they were at least outside. However, some of them wandered inside and stood over our table, scream-talking to each other. We thought they were in line to order—as our table was right in front of the register—but they weren’t. Staff, including the manager, clearly saw this happening and did nothing. When we finally realized no one was in line, we left just to escape the chaos. The manager or someone did mumble an apology as we were leaving and said “it would be different next time.” But there won’t be a next time. Between the misleading service, outrageous pricing by the slice, unbearable noise, and total lack of customer care, I would never recommend this place—especially if you’re bringing older family members or expect a casual dining experience. That said their pizza was really good. I just hated eating there and never want anyone to go through this again. I would recommend getting pizza to go and being ready for it to take a very long time.

Wingman Brewers is a small, independently owned brewery that specializes in making its own beers as well as serving others. They have a taproom with communal seating where guests can enjoy a variety of beers, all of which are fantastic. They also offer coffee and sweet items for purchase, but no food. Wingman Brewers is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!
We love this place. Great prices, delicious pours and fantastic people. Keep an eye for fun events like Seattle Seawolves Rugby and Sounders viewing parties and live music. Always pack a growler with you or grab some cans to go. Cheers!

Great selections. Not hundreds of them but what there is are all fantastic. I like darker beers and the P-51 porter does not disappoint. Coffee and sweet. No real taproom-you literally drink in with the brewing separated only by a bar. No food but you can bring your own. Outstanding!!!

Cool little brewery. Small but with a good selection of beer according to my resident expert. No food, but you can bring in your own.
Kat S — Google review
Great place to get a beer. They have a wide variety to choose from. They do allow minors and dogs. It's not as flashy as some of the other Tacoma breweries but it's worth checking out.
Kidogo84 — Google review
Fun little spot, cheap growlers and a decent selection of beers. Staff was friendly and made great recommentions. Smells like a brewery should, fresh hints of malt in the air.
Anthony D — Google review
There is always a great selection here and great people to talk/listen to. I always order a flight when we visit or bring guests. I've only had one drink be flat of the three times I've gone (the flavor was great just no bubbles). It is a nice sit at a barrel and drink brewery and that's it. It can get crowded on the weekends and depending on events going on close by.
Erica L — Google review
Great Vibes, great beer! Pretty open space with a good rotation of different beers in house brewed and otherwise. Not usually very packed, but a great find amongst many other breweries. Highly recommend!

Was in the area for a concert at the Tacoma Dome, decided to stop by here for a drink beforehand. Leaving this review mostly to say that the service we had was GREAT. Unfortunately didn’t catch her name but she was very friendly and went out of her way of offering recommendations of where to grab a bite and how to get around town. Enjoyed the beer too!

The Red Hot, located on Tacoma's Sixth Ave., is a popular over-21 spot known for its creative hot dogs and rotating craft beers. The tavern boasts an easygoing environment with dozens of beer taps hanging from the ceiling, offering a wide variety of interesting ale options. While beer lovers will appreciate the extensive selection, it's the unique hot dog offerings that set this place apart.
The Red Hot is such a great spot! It's a super casual, no-frills place, but the food is amazing. You seat yourself, and the staff is quick to come over and take care of you. Our server was friendly, efficient, and made sure we always had what we needed without being intrusive. The hot dogs are delicious, and the prices are super reasonable for the quality you get. It's the perfect spot to hang out with friends, grab a beer, and enjoy some very tasty hot dogs. Street parking is available, and the vibe is laid-back and fun. Definitely recommend it if you're in the mood for a great, casual meal with awesome service!

Visited this place on a whim while in the area for some business. I was pleasantly floored. The burger had the perfect blend of heat and spice (usually too much of one and not another) and the server was fantastic. Really enjoyed my lunch—definitely recommend visiting if you’re in the area. Kudos to this team and restaurant because I want to go back.
Jeffrey B — Google review
Very good hotdogs, good snap, excellent flavor for the dogs them selves. I did find the Mac and cheese dog a little underwhelming and bland, but a little hot sauce made up for it. I also enjoyed their selection of NA beers. The black something or other was *chefs kiss. Prices are pretty good too. The only thing I found disappointing was the Frito pie, mostly cause the nacho cheese was flavorless. I will say the place definitely has a hipster vibe, which isn't necessarily my flavor, but I can see the appeal and will definitely stop in next time I need a good hot dog.
Michael S — Google review
Great little find from Tik Tok. We got intrigued by the bacon, peanut butter hotdog. We had a variety that included the bacon, peanut butter, 6th ave strut, Hillside, and one other that was spicy. All great, but peanut butter was a bit much for me. The Mac and Cheese is incredibly delicious. Will definitely return and try others. Staff is excellent and helpful. Check it out you'll like it or love it.

This is a really cool and comfortable restaurant. They have a big selection of beer and ciders that change often. The food is all delicious. Some of us had char burgers, and they were very good. I do wish they had asked us how we wanted the burgers cooked as they were cooked longer than I would have liked. The hot dogs and sausages were also very good. There're no French fries, but some good sides are available. A good mac and cheese, good bbq beans and coleslaw. I would highly recommend you check this place out.

The hot dogs are amazing, indeed, the peanut butter and bacon hot dog definitely surprised me (in a really good way), however I have a beef to pick with the fact they advertise hours incorrectly, they do, in fact, close at 11pm, but their kitchen closes at 10pm, knowing that would’ve saved me the trip since I was going for the hot dogs (second time) and got there 10:18pm so no food was served. Other than that, everything else was great, the Seattle Dog onions are not caramelized like it should be, which for some is a dealbreaker, so FYI, it is not. The hot dogs are amazing tho, and the food is worth coming back (like I tried).

The Red Hot is one of Tacoma’s best beer spots. The food is good, great selection of beers, and the service is top notch. Particularly our favorite bartender Elliott, who is such a mensch. He knows the kind of beer I like and is always Johnny on the spot with a great recommendation. My wife thinks he’s super cute, I cannot say, but I’ll take her word for it. He does always smell good, I’ll give him that. Except once when he smelled rather strongly of sauerkraut but that was the result of a rather unfortunate mishap with a 5 gallon bucket of sauerkraut which was entirely outside of his control. He can also spit mad rhymes but only after a few strong IPA’s. Anyway, go check out The Red Hot and if you get Elliott as a server, drop a phat beat on him and watch what he can do.

The food was amazing, decent priced hot dogs, a little on the pricy side but they are worth it. Lots of variety and flavors. The service was nice and friendly. They had interesting unique items such as the root beer on tap which was amazing and I highly recommend their Mac and cheese as well as their baked beans. They had good quality ingredients. The atmosphere is of a liberal bar and was nice and enjoyable and not too loud. I would definitely come back again. Parking can be a little tricky if you can't get a spot outside.

Parkway Tavern is a local favorite for craft beers and bar bites in an old-fashioned wood-paneled quarters with a fireplace. The tavern offers a menu full of delicious food options, as well as pool, darts, shuffleboard, and other games for patrons to enjoy. Fido is welcome to join you at one of the pet-friendly outdoor tables while you savor your meal.
This review was meant for Hanks! I don't know how to change it. ------------- Dog friendly outdoors and service is at the bar. You get a table number and food is brought out promptly. There are TV screens outside but they didn't bother us (we don't watch TV while out to dinner). Great atmosphere! We want to see it when the grapes are ripe!

Fantastic tavern in a beautiful neighborhood in north end. A huge variety of tasty local beers. Beautifully decorated with a warm inviting atmosphere. Didn’t have food but heard (and saw) that it’s fantastic. Lots of games including shuffleboard, darts and pool for only 50 cents!!

Every city has a place that harks back to earlier and simpler times. This place is that place. Almost frozen in time. This place has the ambiance of the old social pubs of the early days, where you meet the people of your community over a pint or two. Remember to cherish the vanishing treasures as newer establishments will never have the history and class or the years past.

We've been coming here a couple decades now. Excellent beer selection, dog friendly patio, friendly people. So great on a sunny day, but cozy on a rainy one. Full on Tacoma locals spot.
Beth H — Google review
I don't get this place. It's just a tavern in a residential area and has no business having food and service THIS good. I convinced my wife who isn't a tavern/bar person to come with me. I came and had this wonderful cider and other mixed beverages. After my brain was fuzzy, I ordered the cheese burger. I then proceeded to have what felt like a food epiphany. Is this a burger? Is this a sign from the Gods? Why does it taste this good? My wife laughs saying it only tastes good because I'm intoxicated. I declare otherwise even though a small part of me worries she's right. A month later my parents come in from Texas and I tell them we have to come here. They have the best burgers. We're there at midday, hanging out at the Parkway Tavern, when I decide I'm pretty hungry so let's get an appetizer whole we day drink. I get the casadilla. I take a bite while my Dad is talking to me and all the sudden I can't hear him anymore. What is this? What IS this?! Perfection? A little slice of heaven? It made we want to go up to the bartender and say, "Sir, this is a tavern. What are you even trying to prove with food this good?!". My Dad asks me what's wrong. I immediately demand everybody take a slice. Similar experiences all around. Then the time of reckoning: my burger arrives. I'm apprehensive. My wife's mocking laughter sounding within my mind: "you were drunk, you were drunk..." but I cast it away as I lean in for the first bite. The legends were true. The stars did not lie. This was the fabled burger of old that I had spoken of. Juicy, delicious, and packed with flavor. Everything about everything is just right. Not even the pickiest of food critics could find a fault. This was literally the best burger I've ever had: twice!! So what gives Parkway Tavern? Friendly staff? Epic inspiring food? Wonderful ambience? WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO PROVE?!
J W — Google review
This place is great. It is not near my house, or I would go there more often. There's just a welcoming atmosphere. The drinks are reasonably priced, they have a huge draft selection, and I love the neighborhood. Definitely a fun spot.

Favorite watering hole ever, hands down! If you're a fan of a well-curated beer selection, friendly staff and patrons, and great food, then this is the place for you. Come by Monday nights for their Randle Night for a fun twist on a great beer. Make it in on Friday or Saturday for homemade clam chowder. Or stop in Sunday for the comfort the comfort of a tasty grilled cheese and tomato soup. The beer is great. The food is delicious. But the staff is what takes this place to the top of the list!

Awesome spot with tons of local taps. Came during lunch and it was very easy to grab a spot at the bar and try out some recommendations from the bartenders. They had a wide variety and some high quality stuff. Bottle shop was also super convenient for getting to see some other local options!

Tom F — Google review
For my wife and I, this is our go-to place to hang out and have a good meal & great cider! It has two very different seating areas: one feels like a bar & grill, with a darker more industrial-feeling vibe and wall-to-wall coolers full of beer, ale, cider, mead, barleywine, all that sort of thing. The other seating area feels like a living room in the front with a fireplace and wood paneling, stretching out into a cozy-cabin dining room. All food and drink is ordered from the bar, but then they’ll bring it to your table for you. Also, you fetch your own water from the free water station in the back, they don’t fill your glass at your table. If this bothers you, don’t come here! There’s only street parking and no sign in front identifying the place, so it’s probably too much trouble for you anyway. But if you’re cool with this, you will love this place, the food, the drinks, the people, the music… this might become your favorite place too.
Nicolas N — Google review
Love love love this place! They have a great selection of beers on tap with amazingly delicious sandwiches. In case you can't find just the right beer on the tap list, you'll find more than enough to choose from in the bottleshop coolers. The environment feels at home in the northwest. It's always clean and welcoming every time I visit. One of the things thar sets this place apart is their knowledgeable and friendly staff who are very helpful and happy to see you. Once you visit once, you'll add them to your regular places in Tacoma to visit.

Came in with a party of four. Ordered a bowl of lentil soup, and the lentils were not all the way cooked they were crunchy. I tried to like it but could not so I brought it back to the bar. Since there was nothing else on this small menu that I wanted, I asked for a refund and the bartender refused. I had even ordered two drinks. I won't be back.

I stopped here before going to the Cheney stadium game. I was expecting happy hours, but there weren't any. The store is large and on the right side there is an interesting drink in the refrigerator. You can choose what you like, or you can order draft beer at the counter. I liked the free and casual atmosphere. Store staff are friendly and quick service. No food to order here but food can be brought in. I wished to know that when I was there. Btw, My hubby was telling me to go to restroom. So I went to...love that toilet for men, loll We'll be back !

Fun craft beer spot, they have 10-12 beers on tap and probably hundreds in bottles and cans in the wall of refrigerators. The gentleman behind the bar was helpful with recommendations based on what he had in stock. As he said, All he does is buy beer, so the inventory is always changing. I don't think they serve any food.

Nestled in the heart of Tacoma on 6th Avenue, E9 Firehouse & Gastropub is a unique dining experience housed in a beautifully restored firehouse that dates back to 1907. This historic venue not only serves as a nod to the past but also offers an impressive selection of house-brewed beers and ales alongside mouthwatering burgers and comfort food.
The place is comfortable, has a patio and terrace, and I loved it for summer days. The waitresses were friendly, and the food came out quickly. The bathrooms are clean, which is important to me. The house burger is delicious. Overall, the food is good. I would return.

I took my sister and my niece to this restaurant and I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed with the whole experience! I ordered the fish tacos and they were the bomb! You literally got so much food you couldn't eat it all. We took a lot of it home for later on. This restaurant was established in 1907 and still has the original brick inside and most of what the firefighters used back then is on display for everyone to see. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was top notch! I'll be going back again!

We have been frequenting E9 for years. The burgers, fries, sandwiches and chicken wings have always been fantastic. The food is a bit heavy, but super tasty. On our recent visit Tacoma Fire Engine 9 (E9) was responding to a call across the street from their old home.

This is somebody I know favorite pizza spot so I had to try it out. I tried The Carolina (pictured) which clearly I knew there would be spice & it definitely did not lack spice!! I really enjoyed the crispiness on the sides of the pizza & it's sizeable in my opinion. Service was okay. This is def a busy spot! Don't come here expecting to have a quiet dinner. It's a hopping, bustling spot with loud fun for all types including kids.

We got some takeout a few weeks ago and while everything was amazing, especially the honey hot cheese curds, they gave us the wrong pizza. My husband, who absolutely loves pizza was majorly bummed about it. I made a mention of it to them through email and Will was kind enough to offer us a $50 gift card to make up for the disappointment and to give them another chance. Last night we ordered the same pizza and this time they delivered. It was worth the wait! Best pizza ever. The excellent customer service was much appreciated and we will be back again!

Waitress was very kind- but the experience was really disappointing. My husbands glass had chunks of paper or something in it- had to ask her to replace the glass. Then fries came out with cheese on them after requesting them without. Waited about 15 minutes for replacement garlic fries that barely has any garlic and weren’t cooked well. Bummer.

A decent pizza, albeit overpriced, not really any better than most you can find along 6th Ave. The drinks on tap selection was good and with a nice variety, although I would have liked it if they noted the alcohol content on the board. It is a good place to go to during the summer since the patio is in the shade, although I can see how it could be cramped inside during the winter.

Delicious pizza! I split the pesto with a friend and it was very good. The atmosphere was really nice. I was a little surprised by the metal music playing though. 🤣 But the people vibes were good. The bench I sat on wasn't very comfortable. There aren't a ton of comfy seating options. We ordered at the bar and then they brought the pizza to our table. They do Bingo here too and that was a lot of fun! They turned the metal music off for that so we could hear the Bingo caller better. Overall, a really great experience.

Go for happy hour 3 to 6pm Mon, Wed and Thurs! All day Tuesday! Fri and Sat 9pm to close! Sit at the bar for faster service and to avoid lines and waits! They have a 5 dollar per happy hour menu, drinks and food! If you spend a bit more i recommend the house Ram Burger, medium with cheese and all the fixings, its juicy and delicious! Comes with house fries that are delicious as well! You could try one Ram Burger with fries at regular price and one or two happy hour Mulligan Burgers and/or appetizers and compare which ones you like the best! Have fun and enjoy!

We enjoyed our meal at Ram Restaurant and appreciated that the patio is dog-friendly. Since the patio wasn’t open for seating, we had to order takeout, so there was no table service. The food was good, but it was a bit cold outside, so we had to eat quickly before heading out. Despite that, the area and view were lovely, making for a pleasant experience overall. We’d definitely come back!
Wendy G — Google review
Had a nice experience coming here the first time. There were a few snags but everyone in our party left satisfied. For the food, we very much enjoyed the regular brewery style food like the fries and especially the cheeseburger pizza. Someone in our party got fish and it was okay but a little bland. For a brewery, I was a little disappointed by the beer selection that was available. It just seemed fairly small for what was on tap. Our server was very courteous and funny but a bit slow however I feel they were short handed because he was working so many different tables I observed.

It’s an ok experience. We like the crab dip. It was the best out of all dishes that we have. Our drinks have flies in it but they have them replaced with an abnormal attitude.

Loved the fish and chips there dipped in tartar sauce. I love it when we eat out there especially by the water where it's beautiful on a sunny day. I would come back here again one day.

Came here for my sister’s birthday and left very disappointed. Our server was disengaged, repeatedly forgot orders, and made our large party feel like a burden. My fish and chips were soggy, greasy, and inedible—the worst I’ve had in years. When I asked for it to be removed from the bill, the server refused, brushed it off as the kitchen being “too rushed,” and told me to “let her know next time,” which I had just done. For a $300+ tab, the food and service were unacceptable. I reached out privately with this feedback about three weeks ago and never received a response, which only adds to the disappointment.
Danielle T — Google review
We have been at that Ram few times over the years and our experience was not bad, fast food in a nicer restaurant. But this time it was the worst we had ever had and I think because the employees from the manager to the waiters to the kitchen just don't give a damn. We went there Monday night around 7:30 6 of us, the place was rather slow. The waiter was trying to be nice but he was fake and all about the sale, didn't really cared about us. The apps came and it was worst than the 7-11 food., then the main course came and it really showed how bad that place has gotten. Ruben sandwich was horrible, I love Ruben's and I ordered it, I was not sure what that possessed meat was, dry and it tasted like overcooked bacon with no flavor. The other meals we ordered were as bad and every fries we had were cold. My wife's burger was very dry. And you the waiter cared?NO. We spent around $330.00 and 10 minutes after closing while we were waiting for my daughter to finish with her baby in the bathroom the less than qualified and no appreciation manager showed his class by asking us to leave. We spent $330.00 and got kicked out after we ate their crappie food. If that's not a rip off, I don't know what it is. Sorry never again we go there, I rather go to 7-Eleven and get their food.

As the city's only moonshine bar for adults 21 and older, it serves handcrafted moonshine cocktails like the popular strawberry lemonade. Featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, this neighborhood joint is famous for its weekend brunch and dive bar vibe without the typical drawbacks.
What a gem this place is right in Tacoma. We were just checking this place out as we saw some good reviews on a website. Let me tell you they were all true and their food, service, and vibe are outstanding. The food is delicious and servings large enough to feed two people. Come and see them you will leave with a smile on your face and battling food coma it is that good. Beers and other drinks are ice cold and compliments the food great.

We heard about it in TV and it was highly recommended, so decided to try it. We had the fish and chips - it was a little spicy, but the fries and sauces were yummy! Also had the black bean burger, it was really big with lots of toppings on it, great presentation but it lacked flavor. It’s a typical dive bar inside, nothing fancy in a popular neighborhood. Parked about a block away in a residential area. Nice staff, not overly friendly.

Delicious breakfast options, Bloody Mary’s and great service! It’s a bar/restaurant and 21 and over only allowed. Fun vibe with old black and white vintage prohibition photos. Recommend the pork verde Benedict and the biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was light and gravy was perfectly balanced with flavor and not heavy at all. The spicy Bloody Mary came with bacon and veggies and was more flavorful than hot, the way I like it. Visiting with friends that took us here so it was a fun group experience.

Following another exciting 90 minutes of what ended up turning into a physical torture session instead of therapy, it was off on a new dining adventure. We had driven by Dirty Oscar’s in our dining search. Today was the day we decided to see what they were all about. There is a huge sign as you enter saying you must be 21 and you must show ID. Sadly, neither Ray nor I were carded which I suppose must mean we do look old enough for them to be positive we are above legal drinking age. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Menus and drink specials were left for us to peruse while the bartender attended to other customers. Breakfast is served all day and there was more than one option which caught my eye. Ditto with lunch but I decided on breakfast, specifically chicken and waffles. The waffle comes stuffed with bacon, sweet seasoned butter, syrup and three pieces of chicken. The pieces are a breast, thigh and drumstick. I asked if I could substitute the thigh and drumstick for two chicken wings. I was told no but I could have two chicken breasts. SCORE!!!! Oh yeah!!! Order placed!!! Ray ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. He opted for the Rosemary fries, over regular fries, which cost $1 more. We both ordered coffee. We were happy to wait while a fresh pot was made. Our food arrived and WOW!!! My chicken breasts were huge, boneless with a tasty, crunchy, slightly warm (spicy) coating, and lightly dusted with powdered sugar. I was a little skeptical of the powdered sugar but it was a beautiful enhancement!! The chicken was tender and juicy. The waffle was loaded with bacon, and was still light and crispy. I requested a second plate so I could move my chicken and butter and cover my waffle with syrup. The plate wasn’t big enough or the chicken was too big to move to the side. Both were acceptable dilemmas. I was only able to eat one of the breasts. I took the other one home. Ray’s sandwich had good flavor but was a little on the dry side due to a lack of au jus or condiments. The fries were thick and crispy but Ray learned Rosemary is not necessarily his liking. I tried to talk him into ordering the Garlic Parmesan fries but he passed, regretfully. He ate the other half of his sandwich for dinner last night. I made up a horseradish, mayonnaise mixture for him to use, and he said that worked well. The bartender was friendly, attentive and cheery as she greeted and waited on everyone. Our food was excellent, and I personally complimented the cook for my meal. We will definitely return!!! The dilemma will be whether I venture into a different menu option or stay with the chicken and waffle. Another good dilemma.

The service was amazing and food came out quickly. My 1st impression upon walking in was the smell. It smelled like dirty mop water or something. I almost turned around. The Chicken and Waffles was pretty good. The chicken was really well seasoned!

Had this place on my list for a while, and after going, I'm sorry I waited so long. First off the food is phenomenal. Everything is made in house including dressings and even their tater tots (which are stuffed). But even better then the food is the service, the guy that served us Friday later afternoon was a delight. I missed is name, but you can tell he cares about his customers, and loves his job. The prices are a little more expensive, but it's all homemade and inhouse, so I will pay extra for that. Really enjoyed the NA beer with my burger too. Over all a 10 out of 10 experience.

The menu features favorites like crispy pork-belly tacos, Moroccan-style quinoa salad with seared tofu, and a commendable Reuben on rye bread.
It's hard to describe how much I love this place. Great drinks and great food! I've been consistently going since I moved to the area 9 years ago. I appreciate that they always make my bloody Mary just like I like it, extra spicy! When friends and family come visit we always take them to the Top and it's the first place we take our kids when they turn 21.

For the past few months, on occasion, I have dropped by to have a drink. The place is OK, generally, but nothing exceptional. Perhaps the great ratings come from regulars, familiars and folks who simply do not know better. What has been an issue for me is service. Having been there at the same time, usually on the same day, I have been charge wildly different prices for the same essential drink. Moreover, there are folks working the bar who are attentive without being intrusive, gracious but not obsequious. In other words, kind and caring. However, there are other workers who do not present themselves so. Recently, when someone took my order, provided it, then saw that it is getting toward its end and asked not if one would like another; that is indifference. And if I, a customer, stand, having placed a bill on the counter, and the server just looked at it and walked away - twice, that was deliberate. To then be charged a random price without receiving a receipt by another server is bad business. Hey! Do not treat folks differently just because you do not know or recognize them or because your perceive that they are not from Tacoma. And if you judge folks by their appearance, as you appeared to do with me, then grow up. Because people do not subscribe to your tribe does not mean that you should treat them differently. As one who has years aplenty and experiences to match, the world over, it is not surprising that Top of Tacoma would be an 'eh' but that it would evince apparent prejudice and bad form is simply bad business. The "bar" is low at the 'Top'.

I hadn’t been in for years, but I’m happy to see the kitchen is still phenomenal, bartenders are efficient, and the people there are friendly. Love this place!

Good place to hang out. Lively and charismatic environment all the time. The bar tender are really nice. I forgot to ask the name of my bartender. She was really pretty and nice. I ordered fries and my goodness its a lot of quantity. Please ask them the serving size before you order, if you are eating alone. I would recommend this place to visit and enjoy if you are in Tacoma.

Popped in here on a whim at the end of another road trip . Met Jimmy the bartender and service was ultra speedy. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed but I will return . Pork belly hash caught my eye for brunch. Saturday and Sunday . Although Jimmy recommended fish fry day on Friday so I don't know when this place is on my HIT List.

Top of Tacoma is a local treat for drinks and dinner with your high school buddies from the 90's. Great menu with some of the best tacos in town, huge selection of fresh cold beers on tap, and a vibe that brings out the snowboarder skate-punk metal-head in all of us. The nachos are to die for, on their delicious all around "can't go wrong" menu. The décor is distinctively of local artists, vintage 90's punk rock shows flyers and a sticker collection to envy. The walls are authentically decorated with 90's show flyers, local skateboarding photography, local artwork, sticker collections, and an extensive Rainier Beer can collection. Prominent local painter, sculptor and mural artist Jeremy Gregory is featured in Top of Tacoma's art collection. When the bar opened in the early 2000's, Jeremy Gregory was kind enough to generously donate numerous pieces and reproductions to the art collection. It's q must see when visiting Tacoma. So bring your friends! Eat, Drink and Rock out at Top of Tacoma!

Best burger I’ve had in downtown Tacoma. Add-ons high quality. Good beer, good outdoor seating on the nice downtown strip. Tiffany B. was very helpful throughout our visit.

Friday late night-- definitely the place to be if you like to be in the Miyake of everything. It was packed. The service was still excellent and as to be expected given how busy they were. Some of the best food I've had. Unique and distinct flavor combinations make everything Pop! 😋 Everything was fresh too. Service with a smile.

Server/bartender doesn’t even bother checking on how you like your food because to them it doesn’t matter, they expect you to pay for the food even if you don’t eat it and send it back. I got Mac and cheese balls which I returned because I didn’t like the bland flavor, and I got a $2 discount instead of removing them from my bill. Bartender just said “What do you want me to do about it” he never returned acting bringing entrees until it was time to bring boxes and the bill, and had an almost angry attitude when he was refilling our waters. After being in hospitality for 10 years, this experience was definitely a joke.

We had never been before and seeing the photos drove from Olympia on a Thursday afternoon. We sat at the bar it wasn’t busy at all. Two other tables of 2 people and one guy at the bar. After waiting about 10 minutes to receive a menu or even asked if we wanted something to drink. I asked the bar tender if she can make me a NA drink of her choice and she very rudely responded with “I don’t have time for that so what do you want?!” Food was okay, she checked on us once when my husbands beer was empty. The gal who worked was out of line with how she spoke to us. She got nicer as it came time to pay the tab and tip though. If she continues to work for you acting the way she did, she will drive it to the ground. I’ll finish this with I don’t leave reviews often but felt this was a necessary one.

Ate dinner twice here this past week on our visit to the region. Fabulous food each time, excellent and then very good service, discovered Mango Cart beer (on a rotating tap so not always going to be around I believe... Sad) here and it is delicious. Husband loved the burger and tater tots. The build your own burger was right up his alley. I enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich with the French onion bisque each time. Incredible. First time there we also had the ice cream with caramel sauce which was fantastic - the caramel sauce was like melted werthers candy. Yum.

Nice place. Good atmosphere. I ordered the Juicy Lucy burger and I want to say it was delicious. But a Jucy Lucy is supposed to ooze cheese when you cut it in half. I could not find any cheese inside the burger. It had lots melted on top of the burger but none inside. I would have liked to have given 5 stars but just couldn’t. The burger was delicious and I loved the caramelized onions on it but it just wasn’t a juicy Lucy. Service was great, I could have complained to my server but that’s not me. Would I go back? Probably.

Pub
Doyle's Public House is a classic Irish pub located in downtown Tacoma, offering a cozy atmosphere to enjoy imported beers, scotch, and whiskey along with traditional bar food. The spacious dining room can accommodate groups and features multiple flat-screens for sports fans. The menu boasts European favorites like scotch eggs, corned beef and cabbage, bangers and mash, and shepherd's pie.
We looked online for a likely place for early dinner before going to the Temple Theater and Doyle’s seemed to fit the bill. When we arrived it was very busy but a couple of seats at the bar opened up almost immediately and shortly after a table which we quickly moved too. The staff are all very nice and welcoming. The drinks came very quickly and the food was close behind. Everything we ate and drank was excellent. We felt there was lots of choice from the kitchen and the bar. The pub has a very nice relaxed feel to it even when busy. The staff really make the difference and set the tone. After the concert we returned for decaf coffee and desert. Again the service was exceptional and our deserts generous and delicious. Our coffee cups were kept full too. If our first visit is anything to go by we highly recommend Doyle’s for a relaxing and tasty experience. Happy St. Patrick’s Day.

Went there for Mardi Gras food. Last year it was great. This year I don't know what happened. Food was terrible. Had Hendricks Gin double and it was $18.00 a drink never heard of this before. Very disappointed on this visit to Doyle's. I had the Gumbo which seemed like it was watered down to make it go further. The Crawfish Dip had no Crawfish. I forget the name of the salad it had spicy almonds and was supposed to have Blacken Chicken. Chicken was not Blacken and it was cold. I was there with my wife and we go out a lot. Like I said before last year the Mardi Gras food was delicious. We love it.

Found this online & not sorry we stopped. We would stop again. We had been traveling ALL day to celebrate (Vancouver, WA to Vancouver, B.C.) & I really wanted something that wasn't fast food, but not fancy schmancy either. Went in w/ a large appetite but never made it to an entree. I ordered Tot-chos (86'd the meat) & my partner had Banger Poutine. These were underneath the 'Steadying Snacks' Category. I wanted to do the grilled cheese & bisque, but I was so full. Had 2 local-ish IPAs (can't recall the name, but from PDX). Tasty. The staff was super kind. The bartender brought me 3 different hot sauces. Found a new fav in the process. Try the Murder Hornet Honey Bourbon if you like a kick where you can taste the flavors. I didn't have bday cake all day, so we took some bread pudding & a giant cookie to go. The bread pudding was delicious (warm, gooey, sugary). I am from Louisiana & had not had any in a while. Learned that a cook there is also from Louisiana & for March they do an entire southern menu. Bathrooms, bar, & dining all appeared to be clean! Parked across the street easily. There is a small parking lot as well for patrons, if I recall correctly. Either way, shouldn't be too hard to get close-ish. Place probably gets busy, we were there right around 9pm on a Monday night. Very calm 😊.

Incline Cider House, a beloved Tacoma brewery, has been making its mark in the cider scene since 2015. This family-owned taproom not only offers a wide range of craft beverages but also shares the stories behind each cider, showcasing local excellence and craftsmanship. The newly expanded Curbside Cafe provides an inviting outdoor space for visitors to enjoy their drinks.
Went for bingo and had a great time! Can't attest to the food, but the cider selection was great! Not just Incline on tap! Atmosphere was lovely, though be forewarned, the bathroom is tricky to find and down 2 flights of stairs (it is possible there is an elevator for those in need but I cannot confirm). Good signage to get there though. Pet friendly!

Love it here so much that I wish I had more than 5 stars to give. We’ve done the Pineapple (Tropical) flight and the cider + chocolate flight so far. Ally is amazing and I love her as our bartender but also as somebody to just talk to and vibe with. Parking is pretty easy and every spot, inside or out, is a good one to sit at. I buy Incline’s products from the grocery store on a regular basis. I will sing their praises until they ask me to stop.

Best cider in the Pacific Northwest! Clean, crisp, and perfectly balanced. Not too dry. Not too sweet. Added flavors come through strong and very clean with no off flavors. Our bartender Ally was super nice and pointed us in the right direction of her favorite ciders and snacks to eat. The cidery itself had a nice cozy atmosphere with a mix of tables, high tops, decently sized bar and also Pac-Man arcade games!

I can’t say enough great things about Incline. The employees are wonderful. Attentive, fun, personable, just great people overall. The prices here are incredibly reasonable especially for the area. The ciders are amazing!🔥 Always such great flavors and I LOVE their to-go options. They also do flights so you can try allllll the ciders! And the specials throughout the week are awesome. The snacks are also tasty and worth trying. Do yourself a favor and just stop in for a pint. You’ll fall in love 🥰 Thank you, Incline! Love y’all! 🫶 P.S. Ryan and Allie are the best!

The cider bar in Gig Harbor is a delightful spot with enjoyable beverages. The Apricot and Imperial Dry ciders stood out among the various options available. The staff, particularly Britney, provided excellent service by offering additional tastings free of charge. They also revealed plans to expand outdoor seating during the summer season and include a fire pit, which sounds exciting. Furthermore, the presence of a Nintendo Mini Console with 30 games added to the overall appeal of this place.
Visited the cider house and it did not disappoint! The cider flight was a flight of 6 and all 6 tastings were phenomenal. We will definitely be back. We love that it is dog friendly! 🍻 Biscuit gives it two paws up! 🐾

Great drinks. Weird location behind the gig harbor inn, right along the highway. Nice little green space you can hang out in but since it's along the highway, it's pretty loud. Also a large inside area, with various arcade games and other.

For a short time I've phased out of ciders. I like ciders but only at certain times. My buddy insisted on checking this place out. I found two ciders I really love there and the atmosphere is nice and chill. It's pup friendly. Definitely worth checking out.

We first learned about Locust after visiting their taproom in Walla Walla. We come to Gig Harbor every year so were shocked to learn it was made here -- the location is definitely "off the beaten path" and hidden in the back of a hotel parking lot. There's a lot of lovely outdoor seating and yard games (ex: giant Connect 4), as well as downstairs indoor arcade seating. They have mario kart and other fun games to make it a great spot to pass time with friends. Bring your pups!

The server/bartender tonight was top notch! She was amazing at explaining every cider and options available. Gave a well round of the property and where to go and hang out. Actually one of the best services I have experienced.

Fun little spot here in Gig Harbor! Ciders were tasty, we liked the Apricot and Imperial Dry the best of what we tried. Looking forward to it! I liked seeing the Nintendo Mini Console (30 games), I look forward to coming back and playing some Tecmo Bowl, Super Mario Bros, Double Dragon and Punch Out. 😂 Worth checking out for sure!

It's not just a feast for the eyes, but also for your taste buds as they serve up a delectable Thanksgiving dinner with options like classic turkey plate, cider-glazed pork medallions, Alaskan cod, and even a holiday vegan plate.
Food was delicious. Atmosphere was phenomenal. Service was great. It was Easter brunch so they were a little backed up but I give some Grace as we were one of a lot of people there as well as other areas that they serve were also very full and ordering as well. My husband and I shared a full order of the brunch special Benedict which was a shrimp and crab cake with Hollandaise and it was so delightful. Custard French toast, berries and cream that was delightful. Fluffy, custardy and the fresh berries were slightly tart and sweet so they went perfectly. also had the cheddar jalapeno grits as our side and those were so good.

The food was quite bad today at lunch and I got to pay almost 100 bucks for flat soda pop, a bad Asian chicken salad with wilted greens and rubber chicken, a tolerable bowl of chowder, mediocre burger and a decent margarita. Our server was good but the host was completely checked out. My friend insisted on lunch here today...I hope I don't have to return soon.

This was our first time at Elks Temple and we wish we would have had more time. Great atmosphere, we had our pup so limited in what we wanted to do since we got there so late in the day. Beautiful place and so much to see as always at a Mcmenamins. We look forward to returning soon to enjoy the lodge and the shopping nearby.

Extremely fun experience! 4 floors of different themed bars with a secret speakeasy as well! My favorite bar is the old hangout tiki bar in the basement. When I say they FULLY leaned in to the theme, I was impressed. Drinks were delicious and strong, we got the hurricane and my favorite the pain killer, did I mention strong? After a small hint from our fantastic waitress, Rose at the tiki bar, we were able to find the speakeasy which was a swanky intimate venue with quite complex drinks. The Spanish bar for concert venues and the tavern bar with pool and games are also great choices! Be warned the prices are a bit high (about $17 or so for a drink) but it was worth it for a special experience!

Disappointed this time 10-10-2025. This is our 4th time. 1st time was amazing about a year ago 5* second time a month later was great we will call it a 5*, 4 months later it dropped to a solid 3 1/2 * was ignored at the tiki bar for 30 minutes went to the ball room ordered food salmon salad was great service was slow and had to get your own drinks..today I ordered the terminator steak well let me tell you it looked amazing, now the bad it was 3/8 inch thin, had to be 6oz about 4oz after I separated the bristle and fat, about 8 bites of steak. Substituted. Fries for salad it was about 6 bites of salad, wife ordered the blackened salmon this is always good until today after 5-6 bites.. ohhhh there is a hair go to pull it out and it lifted the salmon off the lettuce. OK we done check...my Birthday dinner.. ended at another restaurant. Changed to a 1* from my original 3* because the more I think about it the more upset I get that I even paid for the steak. The steak = $5 steak from Wilco and I could have made it better..

Such a cozy place to chill with good beer and great friends. Coolers of canned options, very cheap coring fee and even a $3 shelf. The taps are a good variety of flavors, types, and brands. I had the cherry cider, but there were some pretty good looking stouts, lagers, pilsner, and ipas. Check out the awesome fireplace, unique cider glass, a d cute little telephone!!!

Great selection of beers, always. Both the taps and the bottles. Sour Tummy Fest is probably my new favorite summer drink day of the whole year. Not only the best sours, but that barbeque too! Can't wait for next year!

I can't rave enough about Edison City! Such good beer and unique styles. I don't know why you'd even want to default to the huge selection of cans they have from other breweries. Just kidding, you should visit and try those, too. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed and given a walk through of how everything worked from the cork fee to what all is on tap and that we could try anything first before deciding. The server was awesome and so nice! They have a large selection of canned beer that you can take home. Everything from IPAs, ciders, pale ales, lagers, and sours. Definitely a unique place to have a quiet beer. Highly recommend!

Great seating inside and out where you can enjoy one of their great beers on tap from some of the best local breweries. There is no kitchen here, but they have a delicious assortment of snacks for sale and have food trucks on site most days of the week. Environment is clean and accessible with super friendly and helpful staff. Family friendly so you don't have to choose between family time and adult beverages. Parking is tight on the lot but there is street parking close by or you are allowed to park at Walgreens across the street and they don't mind.

It's a bar and they serve packaged snacks. Come here for the beer & cider, not the food. Though there is that one lonely pickle floating there looking at you. But you know what the bonus is about the BYO food situation? You can bring your dog. Inside. I ordered Uber eats from Tiki Hut down the street. There are tables outside the bar area where kids can exist. Economical growler fills as well.

Beers, ciders and yummy munchies. Had a very relaxed atmosphere not overly busy. Good beers and food. Pretzel with a jalapeño cheese.dip. we also got the totchoes. Outside has a huge fire for people to sit and chat. There are also tables outside as well. We will definitely be back. That also have a beer wall so you can purchase beers to take home.

Locust Cider in Tacoma offers a fantastic selection of ciders, with favorites including dark cherry, honey, and vanilla. The establishment is pet-friendly and even has retro video games and board games for kids to enjoy while parents savor their cider. Additionally, there's the option to order food from the neighboring Redd Dog. The ambiance is laid-back and welcoming, making it a great spot to relax with friends or family.
My new favorite cider house. The vanilla bean is damn good and the peach. They have pretty kickass decals and give out logo coloring pages. Mine is almost done and in my photos in this review. Walking distance to many other places including restaurants. No food here but some right next door and you can order food to be delivered to you there. We'll definitely be going back.
Sam F — Google review
Pretty expensive for a cider. Also, really tasty ciders. Hard trade on this one. What is good; take the kids, friends or prime you want to play video games with. It's got a most selection of SNES regular NES and Atari mini console games. They have a sit down old school table with 4 games as well. All free to play from what I say. Bring in some food and have a quiet evening. Deals for teachers on Tuesday, military on Monday for 25 percent off. Otherwise, it's nothing special outside of that and expensive drinks. Really liked the seasonal drinks.
Mark N — Google review
Great little taproom on 6th Ave! The staff is always amazingly friendly. The retro games are a must! The establishment is family friendly and you can bring your dog. They have rotating local art on the walls too.
Ashley L — Google review
Spent a couple of hours here killing time with my two dogs before a comedy show. Chill atmosphere, comfortable chairs, some cool board games and video games in the back. Bathrooms and common areas were very clean. Wonderful variety of ciders, the vanilla was my favorite for sure. About $10 a pint without the weekly deals, a bout a dollar to high for me ha!so I only got a couple, plus that a lot of sugar.

I was on my way to the record shop across the street & seen this spot. I love cider so it was a no brainer. The cashier/service was super cool. The vibe was great, I came in around 3pm on a Thursday. There weren’t many people(which I like). However, it did start to thicken up as I was leaving . The cider was amazing. I definitely recommend the peach, pear, or pineapple cider. I got a flight of 4 with all of those flavors Including watermelon cider. Then came back after my time at the record store, just to buys some togo. Also, they have video games and a garage door for the main window. Such a nice vibe to feel the warmth of outside while having a cold tasty cider.
Alexi W — Google review
So many great reasons to love this place.... the cider is great, so many flavors! Clean and friendly service! They have windows on front that all open up in summer. They have a game room area with free video gaming!!! Super cool ! You can bring your own food in, it is kid friendly and dog friendly! I definitely recommend it
The U — Google review
Bartender Craig was incredibly helpful and cheerful. Video games in the back and coloring pages for the kids, good bar food from next door, oh and excellent cider to top it all off. Found our new home base in Tacoma.
The L — Google review
Fantastic selection of ciders!! The dark cherry, honey and vanilla being my favorites!! They are sort of paired up with the Redd Dog next door in that you can order their food and have it delivered!! The BBQ chicken pizza was outstanding!! And the young gut behind the counter at Locust was gracious enough to go next door and get me a box for my leftovers. They are pet friendly and I had my dog with me and couldn't go myself. All in all, a wonderful experience. I'll be back!!

Broken Spoke Tacoma is a popular bar and barbershop with locals and visitors alike. The atmosphere is lively and fun, with a great selection of drinks and cocktails. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and will help you find the perfect drink for your mood.
Got a great haircut, saw some amazing artwork, and had a good beer. What a cool place. The owner was lovely and I would definitely recommend going here.
Ryan M — Google review
Broken Spoke has already turned into a staple of the Hilltop area. It's 'take-it-easy' and relaxed ambiance, paired with friendly and welcoming staff is amazing. Having a barber shop inside the bar is just awesome and a pure delight to experience in combination. Weekly events keep foot traffic up. You can tell the place doesn't have any stigmas for any group of people and are most welcoming - dog friendly as well. Outside food is welcome and there are amazing options right outside the door. Their stock of beers is constantly shifting with unique choices both nationally and internationally (imported). If you're in the Tacoma area and would like a spot to sit back and relax...this is it.
S D — Google review
Great place for a beer or a haircut or both! The beer selection is extensive and the service excellent.
Alex H — Google review
Just had my hair cut by Megan. Absolutely fantastic! I told her what I was trying to go for and she knew exactly what to do. Can't recommend this place enough. I'm sure the other two barbers are excellent as well. The bar/barber setting is perfect too! Grab a beer and have a snack at the bar while you wait for your turn in the chair. This is now my go to place for a dapper looking cut!
Chaz H — Google review
Chris does an excellent job, best barber in Tacoma by far and I just moved here from Alabama. Great service from the folks at the bar too. Never ending list of craft beer, they know their stuff too! Beer prices were also very reasonable. The owner and his staff made me feel at home. I will absolutely be back!
Mike M — Google review
JJ was absolutely phenomenal. Great personality, super friendly, extremely forgiving to someone who had no idea how an actual barber shop worked (me, I’m the newbie) and holy s*** my hair never looked so good. He was so quick getting me done that I was truly shocked, in a good way of course. Need a cut? Go see JJ. Definitely my new spot.
Benjamin C — Google review
I have been here for beer and haircuts. All the bartenders are very knowledgeable about the beer and can help you find a beer you want, whatever your tastes. I have specifically had Georgette and Christy cut my hair and both have worked hard to give me a haircut specific to my face and what I asked for. Would absolutely recommend to anyone interested in great beer and a great barber experience.
Jacob F — Google review
Love Broken Spoke! Great neighborhood bar with a large selection of beers, wine on tap, pool table, barber shop & a fun trivia night. They are always doing something interesting with art shows & music. Little food but what they have is great and you're allowed to bring in other food from neighboring restaurants. How cool is that?

Brewery
Pub
Northwest Brewing Company is a taproom offering a variety of creative craft ales along with a menu featuring BBQ and pizza. On Saturdays, visitors can enjoy live music while sipping on their locally-sourced beer. The brewery has received positive feedback for its friendly service and well-decorated space. Some patrons have recommended trying the IPA, although opinions on branding varied. Overall, it's considered a good spot to drop in for a quality beverage and take in the view of the brewing area.
I attended the NW Brewing Company's Grand Opening last summer. I am headed back there this weekend. I LOVE their beer and always check if I am out if the establishment carries it. I also referred NW Brewing Co to a friend of mine who owns a bar in Ballard. He rotates local beers and carried (perhaps still does) a few of their beers. The owners were there and super nice. The girls (servers) were nice and as prompt as you can be in a busy taproom! I cannot wait to go! I love their MangoWeizen and actually got to see how it was made which I thought was cool. The Taproom is very basic, chairs, tables, bar stools. Certainly not posh but very comfortable and fun. I encourage any beer lovers to check it out!! It is worth a try!
Kym R — Google review
Skip the carnival-style food and enjoy the locally-sourced beer. I could recommend the IPA. It's branding was off-putting for some in the party, and that meant we didn't buy a growler. Otherwise, NW offers a quality beverage. I recommend dropping in for a beer as this is in a great location with a view of the brewing area.
Murray N — Google review
The beer here is excellent. Even the wifey enjoyed one, and she is not a beer drinker. They also do a fair bit of brewing for Hop Jack's, another excellent local place. The only reason why they didn't get 5 stars, is I think they need to work a bit on their bar area. It could be nicer. Also, it's a bit hard to find the first time, if you don't know where you're going. Nice staff, though, and at least they focus on what's important in a brewery...the beer!!
Wwhermit — Google review
Great selection of craft beers, maybe 10 I'd say. Moderate amount of seating with a sight line of the beer making process. Kind staff, and workers that appear dedicated to the process. Some food is available. Generous pricing! Parking appears adequate.
Mitchell C — Google review
The beer was very drinkable. T he pub is small, but short on interest. The beer puller was a bless attentive that she could have been (she typically was either on her phone, chatting with one or two clubbers, or eating lunch at the bar?!?!).
John E — Google review
Great beer and some snack options available. The staff is absolutely fantastic and friendly. Great place to go in the summer with lots of events planned. Music on Saturday evenings. Gets a bit cold in the winter, could use some heating
Trevor R — Google review
They should honor their Groupons. I bought a pint and a growler+fill for $11 but didn't get that even though THAT'S WHAT I PAYED FOR. They lost a customer today, for no good reason. Edit*the Triple Lindy was really good, you're on thin I've NWBC
Tony S — Google review
Great beer, but they are often out of the more popular flavors. But then that's just an opportunity to try something new. Definitely recommend.
