Parque Dona Lindu, a stunning urban oasis in Recife, Brazil, is a must-visit for anyone seeking a blend of culture and natural beauty. Coconut mousse with cookies had a perfect mix of textures, top portuguese food dessert

Very vibrant place, full of life in Sundays. People were in question waiting to inter the theatre but don't know what was the occasion. Around have place to play football, of course! Others just were hanging around! And have dog-garden where I saw a lot of them there. Some were enjoying bicycles also. The plam trees are amazing.
Dreamer — Google review
A delight in Boa Viagem. Lovely to see a park being really utilised and enjoyed within.
Grant M — Google review
This park was designed by Niemeyer, whom I am not a fan of. Just a few gigantic modernist structure and no green or nature at all. I guess you can enjoy special events, and a fair on weekends, but I visited it on a Tuesday. Before visiting, check their programming to make sure there is something interesting.

its a good place for beeing with the family or play some sports, like skatebording, but It close too early, and the shut down all the lights so u obrigatory have to leave if u dont want to be robbed

The Botanical Garden of Recife is a park with many different types of plants. It's free to enter and has information about the plants and their uses available. The forest inside the garden is also very nice on a hot day.
Was very good, is free to enter and has many plants and lots of information available. Inside the forest is very nice on a hot day protecting you from.the sun.
John S — Google review
The park is nice but quite small. You can do a whole visitation in 20-30 min. It is free, which is good, but it’s far from the city so you will probably need to go by car. There is a small cafe but it only provides you with basic things. When I did a visitation the sensorial area was closed. If you are into parks it can be a good place to visit but definitely it’s not a must go place. I give it four stars because it’s free, otherwise I would give three.
Felipe B — Google review
Small botanical garden, my walk rook me 20 minutes. It is far inland if you are staying by the beach but it worths the visit.
Jose S — Google review
Very extensive area. Exercise park.
Fred H — Google review
There's a lot of trails but you can only go with a guide, there's no place to buy food but because just few people come here, it's ok, it's a beautiful place to relax, do a piquenique or take pictures
Stenio G — Google review
Rich diversity of plants and trees. We were lucky to see some little monkeys. Free admission. Strongly recommended.

It’s pretty! But it’s a bit small, so it’s a short visitation.

Jaqueira Park is a large, green space in Recife that is perfect for enjoying a jog or bike ride, playing on the playground, or taking a peaceful picnic lunch. The park has plenty of benches and shady spots for resting and offers easy access for people with disabilities.
This is one of the best parks in the city. Lots of spots for picnic, a church (?), big children areas with slides, swings, a small zipline (for children), jogging tracks, biking tracks (dirt/with ramps and paved). There's no parking lot so you'll have to park on the streets around the park.
Yuri N — Google review
Gated park full of guards and activities for kids! The ideal place to rest and spend some time either running, with your family or simply by laying on the grass. Apart for having felt very safe (which unfortunately is rare in Brazil), the park is gorgeous, full of plants and colossal trees well maintained. Worth the visit
Santi D — Google review
Fantastic public park that's fun to run and walk around at any time of day. Lots of fun things to do in and nearby the park. This park is in a great part of town in Recife. I really enjoyed visiting Pernambuco.
Edward P — Google review
Very nice place to go to. Great options for doing exercises, or go with friends or family to relax. Nice playgrounds for kids. They are made in a way that they are attractive for kids of a certain age. This way the children can play with friends of their own age. It's clean, well taken care of and there is security.
D. M — Google review
The park is big, well maintained and is suitable for lots of activities. You can bring your kids, have a date, come for a jog or even just relax. As of today, they're working to bring access to people with limited mobility. Thumbs up for that
Seli R — Google review

In a city with many different options, this place is very nicely decorated, food is good, fast and delicious. Later in the evening, bring a small cover as the AC is a bit strong.

The sand strap is a little bit narrow, but the water is beautiful and there are good services nearby. The beach is clear and there are palm trees that produce nice harbor from the warm sun in Northeast Brazilian coast.
Edir S — Google review
Great sand and water, wasn't too crowded for a weekend. We found parking but you might have to walk a ways from your parking spot during peak times.
Joe S — Google review
The sharks are not the problem in Pina. There's actually some rocks called Arrecifes that protect the bathers from them. The real problem here is that there are a lot of trash in the beach. But besides that, it's a great place to admire the nature and spend some time with your friends.

The fort itself has a fascinating history; originally constructed by the Portuguese and later rebuilt after being destroyed by the Dutch.
Beautiful fort with a rich history founded by the Dutch and later taken over by the Portuguese. It has an almost intact outer wall and the inside there is a small museum of a person that took care of the fort for many years and met the then queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and the current king Willem-Alexander. Also you can see partly the structure inside the fort. On the top of the fort there are a few original cannons and the few is amazing over the sea. Entrance is free.

(Translated by Google) Praça da República, located in the heart of downtown Recife, is one of the most emblematic public spaces in the capital of Pernambuco, with a rich history and remarkable architectural, cultural and scenic value. Opened in the 19th century, the square was designed as part of a series of urban reforms that sought to modernize the city and bring it more in line with the major urban centers of the world. Over the years, it has established itself as one of the most important meeting points for residents and visitors, housing historic buildings and serving as a stage for cultural, political and social events. History and location Praça da República is located in the Santo Antônio neighborhood, an area that played a central role in the historical and political formation of Recife. Its location is strategic: on the banks of the Capibaribe River, it connects to other important tourist attractions, such as the Santa Isabel Theater, the Campo das Princesas Palace and the Palace of Justice. These buildings, which surround the square, are symbols of the cultural, political and legal power of Pernambuco. Originally, the area where the square is located was occupied by the Governors' Palace, which later became the Campo das Princesas Palace. The area began to take on the characteristics of a public space at the end of the 19th century, when there was a global movement to value urban gardens and squares as places for leisure and social gatherings. Architecture and landscaping Praça da República stands out for its landscaping design inspired by French gardens, with symmetrical paths, ornate flowerbeds and century-old trees that provide shade and beauty. One of the most iconic trees in the square is the century-old fig tree, which impresses with its grandeur and the sculptural shapes of its branches and roots. In the center of the square, there is an ornamental fountain that reinforces the charm and atmosphere of tranquility of the place. Wrought iron benches and lampposts with a classic design complement the scenery, making the square an ideal space for those seeking a moment of contemplation as well as for those who want to take a walk or meet friends. Historic buildings around Three imposing buildings border Praça da República, forming an architectural complex of great importance: 1. Teatro de Santa Isabel: Built in 1850, it is one of the oldest and most important theaters in Brazil. Its neoclassical style, designed by French engineer Louis Léger Vauthier, attracts visitors from all over the country. The theater is known for its perfect acoustics and for hosting renowned theatrical and musical performances. 2. Palácio do Campo das Princesas: The official residence of the Governor of Pernambuco, the palace is a landmark of the state's executive branch. Its architecture mixes neoclassical and eclectic elements, reflecting the various phases of its construction and renovations over the years. 3. Palácio da Justiça: Home to the Court of Justice of Pernambuco, the building is an example of the eclectic architecture of the early 20th century. Its interior is adorned with sculptures and stained glass windows that symbolize justice and wisdom. Culture and daily life Praça da República is not only a place of historical importance, but also a living space, where the culture of Pernambuco is expressed in its most diverse forms. Street artists, musicians and cultural events often occupy the square, bringing music, dance and poetry to the environment. In addition, the place serves as a starting point for tourist tours, due to its proximity to other attractions in Recife Antigo and the historic center. It is common to see groups of students, tourists and families exploring the area and learning about the history of the city. Symbolic meaning Praça da República is also a place of political expression. Throughout its history, it has been the scene of important demonstrations and protests that have marked the social and political life of Pernambuco and Brazil. Its central location makes it a strategic point for popular gatherings, reaffirming its role as a space for citizenship. Cons

The square was designed in 1875 by engineer Emile Beringer and was renovated in 1937 according to a project by Burle Marx. The square is today one of the main tourist attractions in Recife and includes three large buildings: Palácio do Governo (Palácio Campo das Princesas), Teatro Santa Izabel and Palácio da Justiça (Palace of Justice). The place has several sculptures and is an ideal place for walking and exercising. The square is the oldest public garden in Recife.
