Piazza dei Signori in Treviso is an absolute gem! Right in the heart of the city, it's surrounded by stunning historic buildings like the Palazzo dei Trecento and the Torre Civica . The square buzzes with life, filled with cozy cafés and charming shops under elegant porticos. It's the perfect spot to soak up local vibes, enjoy a spritz, and watch the world go by. A must-visit when exploring Treviso!

We love the charming city of Treviso. It has cobblestone streets, narrow sidewalks and adorable cafe's. We had the best gelloto. You can get lost in the many little streets within the walls of the fortress. Many streets line the canals were you with see ducks a swans. Rent a bike or take a stroll around the fort.

Fountain
Sights & Landmarks
Fontana Delle Tette is a famous stone fountain featuring water spouting from a statue of a bare female torso. Originally dating back to 1559, the fountain was known for pouring white wine from one breast and red wine from the other during the Venetian rule, allowing citizens to drink free of charge for three days on the occasion of each new Podesta designation. Today, a reconstruction can be found in a hidden courtyard inside Palazzo Zignoli.
The Fontana delle Tette, located in Treviso, is an ancient sculpted fountain that has a curious history. During the domination of the Republic of Venice, this fountain poured white and red wine on the occasion of particular celebrations. Its name, translated into English, means “The Fountain of Tits”. The fountain was built in 1559 on the orders of Alvise Da Ponte, mayor of Treviso, following a severe drought that hit the city and the surrounding countryside. In honor of each new Podestà ( a chief magistrate of a medieval Italian town) the fountain gushed red wine from one breast and white wine from the other. All citizens could drink for free for three days during these celebrations. The original fountain was located inside the Palazzo Pretorio, in via Calmaggiore. Today, a copy of the original sculpture is placed in the courtyard of Palazzo Zignoli, while the original is preserved under the portico of Palazzo dei Trecento. The Fountain of Tits represents a curious and fascinating piece of history, testimony to past times and unique traditions. 🍷🍇 Visited February 2024

A quiet, warm feeling spread through my chest when I looked at her, but it was almost instantly followed by a subtle prickle of shame that made me look away. The warmth was pleasant, a soft pull, but the shame was a fleeting, bitter taste, a silent reprimand for having the feeling at all. It was a brief and private tug-of-war, hidden beneath a calm exterior.

Canale dei Buranelli is a picturesque canal located in the historic center of Treviso, Italy. The area features red-brick Renaissance palaces, shady arcades, and wrought-iron bridges that create a charming and tranquil atmosphere. This branch of the river Botteniga offers a scenic view with houses extending over the water, reminiscent of Venice but without the crowds. Visitors can stroll along the canal to discover various signs providing insights into its history while enjoying seating areas and observing ducks.
Definitely the highlight of the city, the canal runs right through the historical part. The city is designed around the canal. Very similar to Venice, but without the crowds. So if you like Venice, I'd highly recommend visiting Treviso. There are various signs along the canal with interesting information about the history of its purpose. Nice seating areas along the way too. Very beautiful and lots of ducks.

The Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle in Treviso is a neoclassical structure with an austere colonnaded facade and a tomb-filled crypt. Located in the historic center, it is surrounded by medieval evidence such as towers, craftsmen's houses, and churches with significant historical and artistic value.
Beautiful, well maintained, in the center
Naz G — Google review
An ancient church dating back to the 6th century, located in an area from ancient Rome. Its architecture may not be very impressive, but it hosts some important artworks. The most notable of these is undoubtedly Titian's painting "Malchiostro Annunciation". I believe the church and its surroundings are the most important places to see in Treviso.
Murat Y — Google review
The duomo of Treviso is a unique place. You will notice that the fassade does not match the rest of the building, and it's because it was rebuild a few times over the years. Inside the church you can see that it's a huge structure, but has not as many details as the ones in Rome or other italian cities. The surrounding areas are calm and livable.
Enzo P — Google review
The cathedral of San Pietro Apostolo, better known as "Duomo", is the main place of worship in the city of Treviso and the seat of the diocese of the same name. Consecrated to the St. Peter the Apostle. The beautiful monumental church was originally built in Romanesque style in the 11th-12th centuries. It is located in the center of Treviso in Piazza Duomo. From the 15th to the 16th century the Cathedral was restored in Neoclassical style, performed by Andrea Memmo and Giannantonio Selva, following the project of the castle architect Giordano Riccati, a portico with cross vaults replaced the old portico with column-bearing lions, and only the crypt remaining from the previous edifice. Today the main façade of the Duomo (Cathedral) is ornamented by a wide staircase open on three sides erecting a pronaos with six Ionic columns. The majestic indoors we may see a system made by three naves, which are divided by strong composite pillars supporting barrel vaults and domes alternatively. The apsidal portion rises above the remaining floor of the Church by several steps and it is superimposed upon the crypt. The presbytery gathers up the main altar dedicated to Saints Tabra, Tabrata, Teonisto, designed by Tullio and Antonio Lombardo. The main work of art is the magnificent „Annuciazione" by Tiziano in the Malchiostro (Malchin) chapel in perfect Renaissance style chapel, located in the background, while there is an "Adorazione dei magi" by Pordenone on the wall of the left side. The left chapel preserves some sculptures by Bregno and the works by Francesco Bassano and Antonio Zanchi located just beyond the "Redentore" by Pennacchi. We may see some paintings by Domenico Capriolo, by Girolamo D’Aviano, by Paris Bordone and by Pomponio Amalteo in the right chapel. The church has an unfinished bell tower, whose construction, according to the tradition, was stopped by the Venetian government to prevent it from becoming taller than the campanile of St. Mark's Basilica.

Many people who visit northern Italy visit Venice, but they should also visit Treviso! A good place to start is Treviso Cathedral, built in the neoclassical style with its imposing row of columns at the main door. Inside it is quite light with many interesting features to see. Everybody goes to visit "The Annunciation" by Titian, (in a chapel next to the sanctuary) but we should also remember that one of its famous sons is Joseph Sarto - Pope Saint Pius X. He was Cathedral Canon, Diocesan Chancellor and Spiritual Director of the seminary from 1875 to 1884, before being appointed Bishop of Mantua. To the right of the sanctuary is the altar dedicated to Saint Pius X, with a bronze statue sculpted by Toni Benetton in 1954 (the year of his beatification). Inside the sanctuary are two paintings depicting him as pope as well as a carved inscription above the Canons seat that he occupied in the cathedral as Canon. The crypt is also very interesting, housing the tombs of the Treviso bishops. Around the back is the Diocesan Museum – well worth a visit (but only open a few days a week) and also a recently discovered Roman mosaic, possible from some ancient Roman baths or temple
Dam C — Google review
When you see it you think its like a roman building, we didn’t have a chance to see it in the interior because they close from 12pm to 4pm but in the exterior looks really nice and big!

Well worth a visit! Astonishing architecture, build on top of the previous church, which is now accessible underneath the cathedral. And you get to see the amazing Malchiostro Annunciation by Titian!

We had a delightful experience at this candy shop, largely due to the exceptional assistance provided by Tiziana, the owner's daughter. Her recommendations were excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed all the candies we purchased. We hope to return to Treviso in the future and will undoubtedly revisit this shop. We are very grateful for the positive experience.

Pretty poor park, full of mosquitoes
Dane C — Google review
To be honest, I was expecting a lot more - like a walking trail with views of the river. In actuality, it’s just an open field with one small dock out over the river. I guess if you’re close, it’s worthwhile to stop by, but definitely not worth the time to get there. There’s nothing to do and the mosquitos are horrendous.
Erin G — Google review
I love this river. It's awesome alongsides are green and peaceful. It's the best way to walk and stay healthy while you are admiring the environment. I could talk about it infinitely but you can have a look at the fotos to get an idea of what you will going to visit. The river goes around gorgeous cities and amazing landscapes. The kids appreciates a lot the presence of animals, during the journey you may see some local animals.

The best camping you will find in the area! Everything is brand new and clean, hosted by lovely and welcoming people, when we arrived we got all the information we needed, close to the city one twenty minute bus ride away. We had so much fun that we stayed another night and didn't leave until the next morning. We will come back for sure!

I love this place. For nature, calm, coffee and chills, it's the best. Always a lovely crowd of very few people :) The cafe is small and simple and has exactly what you need for an easy day of enjoyment. It is a prefect place to read solo, play football with the kids, spot the turtles 🐢 in the lake, walk amongst the ancient trees 🌲🌳🌴, lay on the grass between the rose 🌹bushes, take your pick and do what you like. There is a toilet by the cafe which is always a bonus and the staff in the cafe are beyond beautiful in their energy and persona. There are many more activities and sorts organised, arranged or available here - these I know little about but go investigate for yourself. Family friendly and above all it is a piece of nature paradise for everyone passing. Enjoy 😊

Lots of tennis, rugby and basketball courts, as well as a park dedicated to children. We also had a coffee at the internal restaurant in the same complex. Everyone was kind, we were served at the table what we had ordered and paid for at the cash register. If it serves as information, they also have the possibility of offering quick cuisine such as sandwiches or hot pieces or classic cuisine. The smell pervaded us. We will definitely stop to have lunch there another day! (Translated by Google) Ghirada is a citadel of sports, where it is possible to practice many sports activities, fields suitable for both adults and children, I do not know if dogs can access safely, nor have I seen some but strictly on a leash, muzzle as well as bags to collect any souvenirs, with respect speaking, it is better to ask if it is possible to access with the dog. However, the structure is worth it, the gyms are very nice, once there were also golf courses nearby, nice even just for a walk with your children, to introduce them to, see or practice sports, with the hope that they can become someone tomorrow or simply have fun for a few hours.

There are also bathrooms for children with a low toilet and a stool to wash your hands. In the afternoon there is a bit of shade, it also has a small hill where there is a slide that children go up. Then towards the fence there are also different types of trees with signs that explain. Really interesting and varied as games. Always looked after.
