Piazza dei Signori is the heart of Treviso, a charming city square with a rich history dating back to the 13th century. The square is adorned with elegant arcades and surrounded by delightful restaurants, bars, boutiques, and a church. It has been a cultural and social center since Roman times and continues to be a vibrant hub today.
Beutiful small student city in Region Veneto near to Venice. Full with history and litle deathals in every street that you go thru. 😉😉😉😘

Piazza dei Signori in Treviso is an absolute gem! Right in the heart of the city, it's surrounded by stunning historic buildings like the Palazzo dei Trecento and the Torre Civica . The square buzzes with life, filled with cozy cafés and charming shops under elegant porticos. It's the perfect spot to soak up local vibes, enjoy a spritz, and watch the world go by. A must-visit when exploring Treviso!

We love the charming city of Treviso. It has cobblestone streets, narrow sidewalks and adorable cafe's. We had the best gelloto. You can get lost in the many little streets within the walls of the fortress. Many streets line the canals were you with see ducks a swans. Rent a bike or take a stroll around the fort.

We preferred a walk in this city instead of crowded Venice. And we do not regret it, a very calm, beautiful and history-filled town.

Archaeological museum
The Civic Museum of Santa Caterina, located in a former monastery, offers a rich display of frescoes and excavated artifacts dating from the 14th to the 18th centuries. The museum is divided into four sections: Archeology showcasing Roman age artifacts, Pinacoteca featuring works by renowned artists like Tiziano and Tiepolo, rooms for contemporary art exhibitions, and the great hall of the Church displaying the famous Stories of S.
Very nice museum, I went there at about 12:00 and was almost alone and I enjoyed it very much! This museum had English translations and it was nice because I could read about the exhibits. The building is spectacular with the inner garden space and the old church. I also liked the fact that some rooms had a sensor that opened the lights when you walked in the room, so you’re saving energy and is a nice touch seeing the exhibits light up gradually. The stuff was very friendly!
Efi L — Google review
Signage does not correspond to the artefacts everytime so it needs to be updated. However, I am not giving my 1 star just for that but it's because I had a rather shocking experience. I bought five postcards and three of them were priced at 1.50€ on the signage. The price for the others wasn't even showing. I was charged 10€ for the postcards. The lady at the counter took an eternity to give me the bill as she looked up the postcards individually on the system. When I pointed out the price issue she made a phone call, again taking more of my time. Although the lady at the counter apologised, I cannot understand how there is such a lack of updating the prices in a museum shop which is so small, maybe having around 100 items on sale.
Anne G — Google review
Very interesting and beautiful museum. The building is beautiful as well and the exhibition is greatly curated. You can buy one ticket for 10 euros and visit this one and museum Bailo.

An unexpected pleasure to find this museum. It has an archaelogical part, a pinacoteca and then the Santa Caterina church with frescos dating back to the 13th century.

Great museum presenting mostly artists and art from Treviso through the ages. It’s not very big so it’s a great choice if you have free hour or two
Otto P — Google review
Beautiful museum which provides a wealth of information about Treviso and art. It is well adjusted for the foreign visitors, by which I mean that the labels in English are of good quality. Quite the unforgettable experience, especially the medieval frescoes which impressed me with their colours and minute execution. This museum is on pair with those in Venice in terms of professionalism and quality of display. I loved every second of my visit!

Canale dei Buranelli is a picturesque canal located in the historic center of Treviso, Italy. The area features red-brick Renaissance palaces, shady arcades, and wrought-iron bridges that create a charming and tranquil atmosphere. This branch of the river Botteniga offers a scenic view with houses extending over the water, reminiscent of Venice but without the crowds. Visitors can stroll along the canal to discover various signs providing insights into its history while enjoying seating areas and observing ducks.
Definitely the highlight of the city, the canal runs right through the historical part. The city is designed around the canal. Very similar to Venice, but without the crowds. So if you like Venice, I'd highly recommend visiting Treviso. There are various signs along the canal with interesting information about the history of its purpose. Nice seating areas along the way too. Very beautiful and lots of ducks.

Located at Piazza dei Signori 23, Da Pino is a popular spot known for its delicious pizzas and pastas. Despite some mixed reviews about the service, many visitors praise the quick service and tasty food. The charming outdoor dining area in the piazza adds to the appeal of this restaurant, making it a great choice for dinner during a weekend visit to Treviso.
A fantastic spot for Italian food lovers! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for a cozy dinner or a night out. The pizza is delicious, with a crispy crust and fresh toppings, while the shrimp pasta are good The wine selection is excellent, offering great pairings for both pizza and pasta. Whether you're in the mood for a casual meal or a special evening, this place delivers on taste and ambiance.
Remus M — Google review
Da Pano is an absolute gem right on the stunning Piazza dei Signori! The pizzas are incredibly fresh and flavorful, with a fantastic variety to choose from. It's the perfect spot for soaking in the lively atmosphere of the piazza. The tiramisu was excellent. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the prices are very reasonable for such a prime location. Whether you're after a quick snack or a leisurely evening of people-watching and delicious bites, Da Pano is a must-visit in Treviso!
Shah K — Google review
Beautiful Place, but a Huge Disappointment At first, the restaurant seemed very promising – the location itself is charming and has plenty of potential. Unfortunately, the service was far below expectations. After waiting 40 minutes for just two dishes, the waiters were unable to say when our food would be ready. While pizzas seemed to come out quickly, waiting this long for pasta in Italy is simply unacceptable. If such delays occur, staff should at least inform guests in advance. Although the place is truly picturesque, the service was not even mediocre. It is worth reconsidering who you employ and putting more effort into training staff to ensure better service, so that such situations do not happen again. Overall, it was one big disappointment. Definitely not recommended.
Adrian H — Google review
Good value for money, but be prepared to wait to be seated on busy times. This place is located in the heart of Treviso, and offers authentic Italian food. The price is quite fair. We ordered a pizza with parma ham, and pasta bolognese. Both the pizza and pasta were good, but we had better pizza and pasta in other places nearby. The big downside to this restaurant is that they do not take reservations, so we had to wait 30 mins for a table. Once inside the service was very good, and the food was good value for its price, which is why overall we had a positive experience.
Melanie H — Google review
Authentic italian pizza at a stunning location on top of that. I've read the prices were inflated here but we personally found the pricing perfectly fine. The pizza itself was so delicious I wish we had time to come back for more. I would 100% recommend this restaurant. Our service was fast as well but we did show up as soon as they opened.
Kateřina V — Google review
Excellent pizza and excellent salad. Very polite service and quick! We enjoyed everything! Thank you very much!
Efi L — Google review
if it is a weekend evening you have to wait around 30 minutes to get a table, but the pizzas were really delicious. we ordered a salad and they forgot to bring it, probably because of the chaotic situation. the tiramisu also was extremely good!
İpek Ü — Google review
It was my third time at da Pino Treviso. The food is still good, but the service was severely lacking this time. No greeting, almost 10 minutes wait for a table (not because it was full, just because the staff was busy talking amongst themselves), after the main course more than half an hour wait before offering to order dessert, then finding out after another 5 minutes that most desserts are sold out (even those that were ordered).

Nestled in a lively square, Hostaria dai Naneti is a charming osteria that embodies the essence of Italian culture. This cozy spot offers an array of charcuterie, cheese, and sandwiches alongside an extensive selection of wines. Indulge in the savory flavors of porchetta and local bastardo del grappa cheese while enjoying the picturesque view of Palazzo dei Trecento from its outdoor seating area.
We loved this very small place. From its vibrant atmosphere with all people around you trying to get something or do something, to service which was still very good in the very crowded space, and finally to very good meats and cheese accompaniment by local wines, everything was great. Prices are very good.
Marius C — Google review
A perfect aperitif! We shared a delicious meat platter along with a glass of wine and a beer — more than satisfied!
Nettie — Google review
This is my favourite place in Treviso! If you are looking for a place for fresh cuts, cheese and wine, then this is the place to go. You hang out with locals and it is very affordable, for quality products and great environment. It can be quite busy, so you can expect to have your wine standing outside, but even that is a good experience. We like to go there as a pre-dinner moment, but if you want some sandwiches on a more quick and simple meal, this is also a great choice.
Paula C — Google review
Little place in the city center of Treviso. Lot of talks about this joint as it’s decades old and has real old time fashion but all really stops here. Facts: is overcrowded most of the time, especially form teenagers or aperitivo lovers being the place kinda cheap. Food is mostly consisting in on the sport basic sandwich, some of the with local ingredients. Lot of wine yes, but generally middle to low quality. Ordering inside is a kinda of ridiculous process, pushy people, and to order is kept. Ordering outside means having to deal with unskilled waiters with close to non knowledge of English, that are a lot of things but not empathic and not professional. They are basically table cleaners. While there is no doubt about the history and the charme of the shop the overall experience is rotten by all of the above. I don’t recommend, I have visited it two times (with always the same experience) and I will not do a third one.
Umberto M — Google review
A hidden gem. Fantastic spot with an unbelievable selection of wines, cheeses, and meats. It was recommended, so we popped in on our last Connacht Rugby trip over to Treviso. Staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Wines were excellent, Cheese and Meats were fantastic 😋😋😋 Looking forward to going back there in April 2024 😉😆😆😆

Restaurant
Ristorante Odeon alla Colonna con Gastronomia is a charming veteran trattoria offering creative regional Italian cuisine. Situated in an arcade beside a stream, the restaurant provides a picturesque setting for diners. The establishment's history dates back to previous centuries when fishermen from the Venetian island of Burano would sell their catch in the area, giving rise to its name 'Buranelli.'
Wow, the perfect spot for lunch to escape the heat. Right on the river, this restaurant was fantastic! I had the cold spaghetti followed by the octopus, cuttlefish, and prawn mix. Absolutely recommend.
Chris G — Google review
The food was tasty and nicely presented, with a good selection of local dishes. However, the prices feel a bit high compared to the portion sizes and overall experience.
Diana O — Google review
A 4-star rating for Odeon. The atmosphere and surroundings are so pretty and cozy. The staff was very friendly and made us very welcomed and comfortable. The food was disappointing as it did not match the atmosphere and staff friendliness, unfortunately. As foreigners, we went for a carbonara classic, and all of us agreed that the taste was below expected. Please refine this dish as the pasta were almost not cooked (no one asked us about the cooking we wanted), the creamy sauce was far from being creamy. The bacon was very thin and did not taste that much. The starters were overall very good though with flavors almost back up to their standards.
Doc V — Google review
Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. I discovered this restaurant on Instagram — the atmosphere and food looked amazing ... We all ordered pasta, but it was very dry, with just a small amount of sauce on top, and no Parmesan was offered. The carbonara had a surprisingly bitter taste, and the salads weren’t really salads — just plain vegetables mixed in a bowl without any dressing. On top of that, we were charged a €12 service fee for 3 people. During our 3-day stay in Italy, this was the only place that charged such a high fee. The waitress came to our table only twice, probably because the focus was on the guests sitting outside (we were seated indoors). We are not picky eaters, but for the price we paid, the food and service really didn’t meet expectations.
Žanete Ž — Google review
This was my favorite dinner in Treviso. My friend and I ordered multiple courses and loved every one of them. The wine was great and the Tiramisu was mouthwatering. Thank you to our fabulous waiter and a special thank you, grazie mille to the waiter who helped me open the door, I blame it on the jetlag, lol!
Dalis S — Google review
Ci hanno accolto con gentilezza anche se il locale era pieno, trovandoci comunque un posto. Servizio ottimo e piatti molto buoni. Siamo stati davvero bene!
Gerta K — Google review
Some places live by their location, others by their cuisine. The Odeon caught our eye during a day trip to Treviso because of its great location. So we were all the more surprised to find that the cuisine can keep up. The menu is typically Venetian, with dishes from the water and the land. The starters and main courses were excellent, and the service was very good and attentive. We were there for lunch, the prices are upscale but not exaggerated. We recommend it for a decent lunch break, and we'll be happy to come back.

Fountain
Sights & Landmarks
Fontana Delle Tette is a famous stone fountain featuring water spouting from a statue of a bare female torso. Originally dating back to 1559, the fountain was known for pouring white wine from one breast and red wine from the other during the Venetian rule, allowing citizens to drink free of charge for three days on the occasion of each new Podesta designation. Today, a reconstruction can be found in a hidden courtyard inside Palazzo Zignoli.
The Fontana delle Tette, located in Treviso, is an ancient sculpted fountain that has a curious history. During the domination of the Republic of Venice, this fountain poured white and red wine on the occasion of particular celebrations. Its name, translated into English, means “The Fountain of Tits”. The fountain was built in 1559 on the orders of Alvise Da Ponte, mayor of Treviso, following a severe drought that hit the city and the surrounding countryside. In honor of each new Podestà ( a chief magistrate of a medieval Italian town) the fountain gushed red wine from one breast and white wine from the other. All citizens could drink for free for three days during these celebrations. The original fountain was located inside the Palazzo Pretorio, in via Calmaggiore. Today, a copy of the original sculpture is placed in the courtyard of Palazzo Zignoli, while the original is preserved under the portico of Palazzo dei Trecento. The Fountain of Tits represents a curious and fascinating piece of history, testimony to past times and unique traditions. 🍷🍇 Visited February 2024

A quiet, warm feeling spread through my chest when I looked at her, but it was almost instantly followed by a subtle prickle of shame that made me look away. The warmth was pleasant, a soft pull, but the shame was a fleeting, bitter taste, a silent reprimand for having the feeling at all. It was a brief and private tug-of-war, hidden beneath a calm exterior.

These walls provide a stunning tree-lined promenade offering privileged views of Treviso and serving as a venue for summer social events.

Nice place for a walk. You can meet quite a few people exercising (walking or running) there, as well as families going for a nice walk by the river (or canals), on a Sunday afternoon. There are stairs every block or so, so you don't need to worry about going up at one point and going down at another. I didn't see stairs to the outer side of the city, though.

Historical defensive city walls. You can have a walk and relax in a peaceful place with amazing views.
Alex D — Google review
This place is beautiful, full of life and very well kept. Treviso is a walled city and a big part of the north wall (the high inner part, over the actual wall) has been turned into a linear park, the outside has a river and a really nice place called "Penisola del Paradiso", a little island full of bunnies, chickens, roosters, ducks and swans, you can't access but you can see them from different angles. You can go for a run, use your bike to go around the almost 7 km or just a nice walk.

"Hostaria Antica Contrada delle Due Torri Treviso" is a rustic-style trattoria located in the heart of Treviso, near Piazza dei Signori, offering a picturesque view of the canal. The restaurant's interior exudes an old-world charm with wooden furniture, brick columns, and 15th-century stone walls creating a timeless atmosphere. Guests can enjoy traditional meals paired with Veneto-region wines while taking in the changing colors of the canal waters.
We were going around the city and someone suggested this place for lunch. Three services were nice and the price a little high, but the "tagliata" was the best one I ever ate.

We order three dishes. All were very small (we ordered and paid for large size, cant imagine the petite size) and no seasoning or flavor. There must be something on the menu that is great, but we sure didn't find it. The servers were good and house red wine was great and a good value.

The food was lovely but the quantity was really small.. we should’ve ordered more dishes to share in order to feel full. The wine was really good as well. Both the white and Prosecco were local. There were more options if you liked seafood compared to meat options. The place is nice for trying new combinations! If you like al dente pasta you will love the pasta! It would be nice to have a suggestion from the staff regarding the quantity or how the system works with the menu. The view from the window outside towards the canal was very romantic.

Unforgettable dinner We had dinner yesterday evening invited by my friends. Very elegant location, excellent dining room staff, practically impeccable. The menus offered are also excellent, of a decidedly superior quality and refinement of flavours, the risotto being top of the top!! Sincere congratulations to the Chef and his “brigade" of excellent collaborators! Without any doubt therefore highly recommended and we will return to be able to enjoy again.

Le Beccherie is a sophisticated restaurant located in Treviso, Italy, known for being the place where tiramisu was first served in 1972. The stylish dining room offers a blend of traditional Trevigiano culinary delights with contemporary elegance. Established in 1939, the restaurant still prepares the famous dessert according to its original feather-light recipe created by Alba and Ado, the owner's parents.
The food was great, I got the Alpine Menu which included an appetizer plate, first and second courses, as well as desert - which was a bargain for 40 Euros, considering a la carte, just the appetizer is 20. There’s plenty of places inside and outside - we sat at the back, in a very stylish wine cave, surrounded by bottles. The service was fast and attentive (it was not rush hour), the only complaint is that we asked for a green salad and it was never brought - later we found it was added to our bill, along with an extra bottle of water - but that was promptly handled by staff. Overall a great restaurant, worth a visit.

Stopped in for a glass (or two) and the famous tiramisù. The wine list is genuinely good—well-chosen, fairly priced, and a nice fit for a quick stop in the center. The tiramisù had a silky, spongy texture that I liked and it felt light—not heavy at all—but the flavor was surprisingly neutral. I kept expecting a deeper coffee/cocoa punch that never really arrived. Maybe that’s the style here, but it left me wanting something different. Service was mixed: a bit snobbish overall, except for the younger staffer who was friendly and attentive. Food-wise, I wouldn’t recommend the sandwich or the chips; neither added much to the experience. Bottom line: come for the central location and a solid glass of wine, and try the tiramisù if you prefer a very smooth, restrained version. If you’re after bold flavors or a casual bite, there are better options nearby.

Claim to be where the tiramisu was invented, expected it to be a homey cozy kinda of establishment but turns out to be a middle to high end restaurant. The restaurant has no problem with people just coming and sitting down for a tiramisu and a drink, very friendly waiter that speaks decent English. Ordered 2 tiramisu for my partner and I, a macchiato and a glass of white wine; Tiramisu is not one with strong flavours, instead of coffee liqueur they use quite a mild tasting coffee, impeccable texture for the egg cream and rich cocoa. This is a tiramisu perfect for people who doesn't like coffee or desserts that are too sweet, along with a coffee makes the perfect afternoon. Also one of the best coffees ive had in my stay in Treviso, and a wide selection of house wines. The restaurant is located within a cave of buildings walled with 3 sides of the classic colourful italian architecture, a quiet corner of the city, immaculate atmosphere and definitely worth a visit.

This is not just a place to eat tiramisu; it's a pilgrimage for anyone who truly loves the dessert. This is THE birthplace of tiramisu, and if you are in Treviso, this is the one place you absolutely must visit. I came all the way from Singapore, as tiramisu is my favorite dessert in the world. Unfortunately, on the day of my visit, the shop was closed for renovations. I was heartbroken, but then something incredible happened. One of the chefs, Paolo, saw me standing outside and, with incredible kindness, invited me in. Even though the shop was closed, he served me a perfect slice of their tiramisu. It was light, airy, and truly perfect—undoubtedly the most delicious tiramisu I have ever eaten. You can taste the history and passion in every spoonful. It's clear that the creators of this wonderful dish, now loved worldwide, poured their hearts into it. What happened next speaks volumes about the warmth and generosity of the staff. When it came time to pay, Paolo graciously refused to accept any money, despite our insistence. It was a beautiful example of Italian hospitality and a moment I will never forget. Paolo, thank you so much for making this trip so special for me and my family. This was more than just a dessert; it was a perfect, unforgettable experience to end our Italian trip. Ciao!

We tried other 3 places, and this is the best tiramisú in town BY FAR. There's a reason they're in the Michelin list ;) They also have recommendations of wine to pair with your food, which is very much appreciated. We went with the wine from the Veneto region, and it really paired beautifully with the tiramisú. On top of that, the service is top notch! Do not skip this place.

Tried only Tiramisu, this is why lover score as can not assess the rest of the offers. I have expected something more from this tiramisu, it is far from that it was not good, but learning that it was invented here, my expectations were different, or we had all the time the wrong tiramisus 😃 serving was great as well the service and ambient.

Excellent service made a late night reservation as we had just landed in Treviso. People were friendly and helpful. Food was very good I would recommend the Guinea Fowl pasta. Unusual not to have a drinks menu but the prices were reasonable! The bill for 3 of us came to €80 Half litre of Prosecco 1 beer and an aperol spritz Two pasta dishes, the monk fish pasta and Guinea Fowl. Large plate of meats and cheeses. Great value. Highly recommend this place and thank you for the reservation at last min (10pm)

Amy, Jorvic n Boothroyd have been here before. Had been in the same family for 150 years but sold to the manager last year. Menu changes daily to serve in season ingredients. Love the atmosphere and good fizzy house wine. Apparently reviewed in The Grauniad. Lovely pasta first plates and my beef stew second plate was yummy. Jorvic and Boothroyd supped a litre of wine while we ate...then had a delicious dolce each....and guess the bill...€1....1....5! Super value.

A lovely restaurant that soon got busy with locals but we were a little disappointed with the food on the night we were there. The baked cheese and polenta was a little tasteless and my wife found her dish also disappointing. I’m sure it’s not true for everything and it’s a very nice place to try.

We didn’t feel particularly welcomed at Arman Restaurant. Unlike many other restaurants we’ve visited in Italy, the staff didn’t take time to explain the dishes, and the overall service felt less warm. The food itself was average by Italian standards. One thing to note: be sure to check your bill carefully. In our case, a bottle of wine listed at €26 was charged as €30. While the mistake was corrected when we pointed it out, it was explained simply as a miscalculation, and no apology was offered.

This family-owned gem provides a warm and inviting atmosphere, with attentive and patient staff who go above and beyond to ensure a delightful dining experience. Visitors rave about the excellent food, reasonable prices, and the welcoming treatment of families with young children.
First of all, I would like to praise the service because they are not like some who immediately reject you if you don't have a reservation, but they really try to look at their schedule and put you on a free table, which is no small thing when you have two small children with you. The food is 5 out of 5, it tastes fantastic, it's beautiful to the eye and the portions are plentiful, and the price is more than reasonable. The interior design is very nice.

A top notch pizzeria in Treviso. Without pre-planning we walked into this alley and were immediately attracted to this place. It was nice weather so we sat outside. Bruschetta, pasta’s and pizza’s were simply the best. Service prompt and with a smile. The next day, after visiting Venice, we decided to have dinner at Zeus again. Prices were for starter, main and dessert, beer, wine and water.

We wanted the tiramisu for dessert they didn’t have any at the moment, so we took the maringue which was EXCELLENT! The worst tiramisù ever! I am somewhat optimistic in general...so when I sat down to try tiramisù in Italy I expected atleast "normal" level tiramisù...but this was not tiramisù at all...it was prepared on the spot....no taste of coffee whatsoever, piscotte were dry because they were just unpacked or something, and creme was i am not sure what..prosecchi was ok.

We showed the waiter this photo of the dessert and asked him for that. And he came back with this one… I thought he made a mistake and asked him if what he brought was supposed to be what was represented at the photo and he said yeah it’s the same?! Not a single similarity with what was on the photo, the size? The cream? The layers? The jam? And it wasn’t even fresh. We didn’t finish it. He could have said that they didn’t have what was in the photo. Very disappointing.

The Church of Saint Nicolò is an impressive Catholic church with a rich history dating back to the 13th century. It features a blend of architectural styles including Romanesque, Gothic, and Renaissance influences. The church is located in the historic center of Treviso and holds significant artistic and historical treasures such as frescoes, wooden ceilings, and stone columns. The adjacent convent was built to accommodate Dominican friars who contributed to the educational legacy of the site.
This beautiful monumental church is located in the south-western part of the historic center, on the left bank of the Sile, in an area mostly recently built as it was severely damaged by the bombings of 1944. Attached to the building is the former Dominican convent, today episcopal seminary. The Church of San Nicolò was built in the early 1300s by the Dominicans also thanks to the substantial bequests of the friar Niccolò Boccalino, better known as Pope Benedict XI. With its simple shapes, but elongated upwards, with the massive perimeter walls just broken by thin slits from which a light enters tempered by the ancient windows, the Church of San Nicolò marks a moment of transition between the robust Romanesque style and the elegant Gothic of transalpine origin. The interior of S. Nicolò has a large space, where you can breathe a pleasant atmosphere of brightness that is reflected in the warm and golden tones of the brick. The Latin cross of the building is divided into three naves cut by a transept on which five parallel apse chapels open. The columns, which support the simple carined wooden ceiling, show frescoes by Tommaso da Modena, present in the second column on the left, depicting San Girolamo, Santa Agnese and San Romualdo. Other frescoes in the church are attributed to his school, although not directly to the teacher. There are 12 columns such as the number of the Apostles, among which the first 2 are in stone. In the presbytery, there is the funeral monument of Agostino Onigo (15th century), a valuable sculptural work by Giovanni Buora and Pietro, Antonio and Tullio Lombardo. Wonderful paintings belong to Lorenzo Lotto, Giovanni Buonconsiglio and Girolamo Pennacchi with the collaboration of Giovanni Matteo da Treviso. The important people of Treviso in the Cappella Onigo were painted by Lorenzo Lotto in the 16th century. The patrons of the time wanted the masters to build the temple with a precise arrangement of windows, medallions and frescoes. Thus the church was built at an angle of 91 degrees and 4 minutes with respect to the line of the sun, and on the day of the winter solstice, around noon, the rays hit perfectly the six medallions arranged on the north side of the church.

Absolutely loved this place! The food was fantastic — the lasagna alla bolognese was especially delicious, rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. You can really tell they care about quality and tradition. The staff was also super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic cuisine and a great atmosphere!

Great lunch. Decent prices for locality, no scam. Waitress speaks English as well.

We were due to catch a flight and needed to eat late afternoon or early evening and this is a place you can get hot food like lasagne. Also a good sandwich selection. It's equivalent to a pub. We liked it. Helpful staff.
John H — Google review
Do not eat here, they have the worst pasta there is. I ordered the orecchiette with broccoli and anchovies. Had I known they use ready-made food, I would have run like hell. But they took the casserole out of the fridge and brought the dish overheated in the microwave, soaking in oil. There was almost no broccoli and the anchovies were missing completely. I must say I don’t remember the last time I was served something as gross as that. I don’t understand the 4,4 rating.

Hi, I visited this restaurant yesterday with my girlfriend. We choose 2 meals from the daily menu but they didn't have any of them. They offered that instead of it they will prepare for us vegetable lasagne and some pasta. The portion was really small and the taste was nothing spectacular. We also bought two beers. We ended paying 32 euros for this, which mean that they charged for the substitute food even more then for original. I don't recommend to eat there. Maybe they just charged us more because they knew, we are tourists. Only positive things were pleasurable service, nice surroundings and good beer.

Nice to know there are still authentic Osteria out there. Typical local choice of bites and or small portions to enjoy with a good spritz. Or a full course meal… up to you…. You won’t be disappointed

We tried both type of their tiramisu. The original one is nice it is worthy to taste but the creamy one in a small plastic container is terrible. Taste is very artificial. Try only the round, layered one is good😊

Bar Beltrame, number 27, is located at the corner of the loggia in a prime position. They offer pizzas and pastas as their specialties. The bar has a lovely interior and also provides outdoor seating under a vaulted roof. They serve Aperol Spritz for 3.50, which can be enjoyed inside or outside. There is a toilet accessed through wooden stairs and a quaint hall, making one wonder if it is used during winter months.
We had a good visit with great service on a quiet Monday lunch. Like the outdoor seating under the vaulted roof. Lovely bar inside. 3.50€ for the Aperol Spritz...you can save 0.5 by drinking inside Toilet accessed up wooden stairs and through quaint hall...wonder if it is used in winter? Boothroyd enjoyed his visit.

What should I say: we came here twice during one day) the location is great, it’s a perfect place for a drink or two on a hot sunny day, cause it also has plenty of shade and nice breeze. Take the pork roast sandwich - local specialty. Delicious

Ok coffee and thats the only good thing about this place. Staff is arrogant, chairs, couches and tables are dirty, even the spoon for the coffee was dirty. Absolutely disgusting and disappointing place. I wouldn't recommend this place even to my worst enemy!

Porta San Tomaso is an impressive marble gate with intricate carvings and a winged lion, part of the ancient city walls. It was constructed in the 16th century as part of Treviso's defensive walls during Venetian rule. The gate is located in the southwest part of Treviso's historic center and is named after the nearby church of San Tomasso. Visitors can explore this historical landmark, take photos, and admire its architecture.

The Salce Collection National Museum, also known as Museo nazionale Collezione Salce, Complesso di San Gaetano, is a hidden gem for enthusiasts of graphic art. It features a rotating exhibition of graphic advertising posters from the 19th and 20th centuries, showcasing iconic images for brands like Martini, Campari, Vespa, and Ferrari. The museum displays a vast collection created by Nando Salce and hosts temporary exhibitions with monographic or thematic focuses.
Amazing collection of old original posters. Staff were great and very helpful. Inexpensive only 6 euros pp. Must see.

We went here and one of the staff was very rude. There was a local giving us attitude for not immediately closing the door upon entry, then the staff and the local were talking in Italian while looking at us as I was trying to close the door. I can tell they were talking about us as we were the only other people there and they were openly staring at us while talking about us. In addition the museum is very small for 8 euros per person and everything is in Italian. I will not recommend it partly because of that and more importantly some staff is not welcoming at all. If you want people to visit, especially tourist, then it’ll be helpful if you are at least being respectful to tourist. We paid our entrance fees to visit and we don’t deserve these kind of rude behaviors.

The wealth of details exposed meant that we also understood the intentions of the artists who designed the multicolored posters. For me they were conceived as "works of art", from that period which encompasses the current of futurism in Italy. Beautiful exposure, excellent lighting! (Translated by Google) I'd like to point out that this small and little-known museum is a gem, starting with the building itself, a perfect example of a medieval house with many stairs and half-floors. Inside, we find everything the Curia of Treviso has collected over time, from fabulous textiles, Middle Eastern metalwork, a silver statue of Saint Liberalis, illuminated books, and remarkable paintings. The museum is also connected to the cathedral crypt, another small treasure and one of the oldest parts of Treviso (which is also accessible from the cathedral, but during Mass, access is only possible from the museum). Despite this, due to its management, it has significant limitations. The building itself, due to its ancient structure, does not allow access for the disabled or those with difficulty with stairs, and there are no restrooms. The entrance is managed by volunteers, which means there is no specific opening hours. Access is by "voluntary contribution," which, however, requires payment to enter, and is paid in cash. This small museum is immaculately maintained: no audio guides, no explanations, and sometimes even the labels are missing (during the Jubilee year, many of the finest works, on loan to other Treviso museums, were even missing; their locations were simply empty, and no labels indicated which other museum in the city they had been lent to, even though some were just a few meters away, in the baptistery). In short, come if you're a true art enthusiast or just curious about medieval architecture.

(Translated by Google) I was particularly interested in the visit to observe up close some ecclesiastical objects used by or once belonging to Blessed Bishop Andrea Giacinto Longhin, such as the 15th-century silver crosier and the three pectoral crosses. Also noteworthy are the bronze statue of the patron saint Liberalis, the chapel, and the Cathedral crypt. For a tourist, I think the museum seems a bit modest, with only a few works on display, some on loan, and not very large. Tickets are €5. Chiesa di Santo Stefano, situated near Piazza della Vittoria in Treviso's historic center, has a rich history dating back to the Lombard era. Originally a chapel dedicated to the patron saint, it underwent reconstruction in the mid-18th century under Count Ottavio Scotti's project. The church also boasts three altars attributed to him. Despite being remodeled several times over the years, its central body was reconstructed in the 1700s.

(Translated by Google) The first records of the history of the Church of Santo Stefano date back to the Lombard period, when a chapel dedicated to the patron saint was erected. In the early 1500s, an earthquake caused the church's bell tower to collapse, and it was rebuilt only two hundred years later. The central body of the Church of Santo Stefano was rebuilt in the mid-1700s, designed by Count Ottavio Scotti, to whom the three altars are also attributed: the two minor ones in Neoclassical style and the main one. The rectangular church preserves an altarpiece by Domenico Maggiotto depicting Saint Christopher flanked by two apostles, and a painting by Jacopo Guarana, located on the high altar, depicting the martyrdom of Saint Stephen.

(Translated by Google) The church of Santo Stefano is a Catholic place of worship in the center of Treviso, located near Piazza della Vittoria and home to the rectory of the same name dependent on the Church of San Nicolò. It appears to be among the oldest churches in the city, having been mentioned since the Lombard age as a place of worship dedicated to the Protomartyr, whose oldest written testimonies appear around the year 1000. The bell tower was rebuilt together with the current church, but it collapsed in the 16th century due to an earthquake. The current design of the building dates back to the eighteenth century and was built based on a design by Ottavio Scotti from Treviso, who also designed the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta in Ceneda. In the first half of the 19th century the church was enriched with side naves, while the decorations of the internal walls date back to the last century. The church was completely restored between 2011 and 2012. The façade in marmorino, sober and elegant, is of the Corinthian order, divided into three parts by four pilasters on a high pedestal and crowned by the pediment. The two lateral wings, dating back to the 19th century, have semi-gables. Above the main entrance, a niche houses the statue of Jesus the Redeemer, added in the early 20th century. The interior has a rectangular plan with a protruding presbytery. The nave has side chapels, added and connected to form two small naves. The rich decoration dates back to the last century, while the neoclassical high altar was built based on a design by Scotti himself. Various oil altarpieces worthy of admiration, all dating back to the 18th century. Among all, the Martyrdom of Saint Stephen by Jacopo Guarana stands out, the altarpiece of the main altar. In a side altar a beautiful Saint Christopher with two apostles by Domenico Maggiotto. There is also a beautiful wooden crucifix attributable to Francesco Terilli (Feltre 1550-Venice 1630). On the choir loft on the counter-façade, enclosed within an elegant case with friezes and neoclassical paintings, there is the pipe organ by Beniamino Zanin, built between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The instrument has mechanical transmission, with a single 58-note keyboard. The pedalboard has been removed, and the entire instrument lies in a state of abandonment.

Orthodox church
Nestled in the heart of Treviso, the Church of Sant'Agostino is a stunning example of 18th-century architecture, designed by the talented Francesco Vecellio. This elegant church features a unique elliptical layout and was constructed on the site of an earlier rectangular structure. The rich history is reflected in its beautiful altarpiece by Ludovico Pozzoserrato, which honors San Aniano, the patron saint of shoemakers.
A beautiful elegant church with an interesting history. The Church of Sant’Agostino (Church of St. Augustine) is the unique example of sacred building in Treviso which has an elliptic plan. In the middle of the 18th century the edification of this church began and it ended in 1758 by the design of the friar Francesco Vecellio. The new church was built where once there was the first church, which had a rectangular plan. Today there are still some evidences of the old church, among these we may remember that of Nicolò Cima who described it as a building with three naves perhaps the statuette of St. Antonio (which it is possible to see on the façade today) belonged to this old Church. The Church of St. Augustine, as other churches in Treviso (for example the Chiesa di San Vito - Church of St. Vito, the Chiesa di Santa Lucia - Church of St. Lucy , and the Chiesa di Sant'Andrea - Church of St. Andrew), was the seat of a school: the School of Cobblers. Indoor the Church of St. Augustine there are a lot of admirable masterworks, when we go in from the main entrance we may see two frescoes representing, the ‘Flagellazione’ (scourging) and the „St. Sebastiano“, both frescoes are made in the 14th and 15th century. On the left in a little cavity we may be impressed by the „Madonna della cintura“ which, as statues of St. Augustine and his mother Monica, comes from the Church of St. Margherita. We may also see two anconas, the first made by Ludovico Pozzoserrato is located on the right altar, it represents St. Aniano, who is patron of Scuola dei ‘Calegheri’ (Cobblers ’School), the Saint is represented while he is repairing a shoe and St. Mark, St. Julian and the Madonna are looking at him.

Chiesa di San Vito is an ancient church with origins dating back to before the year 1000, associated with a shelter for travelers and the sick. It was once a religious seat for key schools in the city and is linked to the Church of Saint Lucia. The church features beautiful old frescoes and valuable ancient works, including fourteenth-century frescoes.
A hidden gem in the heart of Treviso. The church blends Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque elements, with beautiful frescoes, a Gothic tabernacle, and an impressive ceiling painting. The connection to Santa Lucia chapel makes the visit even more special. Peaceful atmosphere and full of history, right off Piazza San Vito.

Interesting complex of religious architecture, because incorporated in the same building there is another place of worship, Santa Lucia, while in another church, Santa Maria delle Carceri constitutes the sacristy. One of the oldest places of worship in the city, its existence has been attested since since 981, when a document speaks of a hospital, a refuge for the sick, the poor, and pilgrims. Over the centuries it was the religious seat of some art schools. Only an apse remains of the original church, the one that connects it with the church of Santa Lucia. Completely restored, it was opened to the public in 2013. Externally it looks more like a palace than a church, in the lower part there is a portico with arches round arch, which support the windows that give light to the Monte di Pietà. Interior with three naves with vaulted ceiling. Presents the altarpiece of saints Cito, Modesto and Crescenzia by Marco Vecellio. Organ built in 1903.
