Butcher shop
The English Market, located in Cork city center, is a historic market that has been operating since 1788. The majority of the buildings date back to the Victorian era and have undergone renovations over the years. After a fire in 1980, the market was ambitiously restored and received a conservation award. Today, it offers a variety of organic and locally produced food including seafood, butchers, poultry counters, Japanese food stalls, charcuterie stands, and more.
When I walked into the English Market, I experienced a sensory overload from what I was seeing, hearing, smelling and eventually tasting. I had been to a similiar open market in Athens, Greece the year before which affected my expectations. The English Market exceeded those expectations. From the stall with fresh olives, pesto and Irish cheeses, to the stall with fresh bread to the dessert bakery stall with fresh tortes, to the designer chocolates stall to the fresh produce stalls to the sandwich stall and all stalls in between, everything looked, smelled and tasted delicious. Had we been staying in Cork City we would have bought some fresh fish, beef or pork or maybe all three to cook for dinner. As it was, we were only in town for a few hours. So we bought as much fresh and prepared food as we could afford for a picnic later in the day. And what a picnic it was. It was our best lunch during our 14 day Irish vacation. If you are staying in Cork City or nearby, stop in for fresh ingredients for an evening meal. If you are there for a few hours, pick out your favorites for a quick meal. You won't be disappointed.

Only after the day was done I met a local that said to do Quay or Marina Market instead. Oh well! It was nice! I bought a ton of olives and some cheese, delicious! The sushi was decent & the kombucha fantastic! Very helpful staff at On The Pigs Back.

This place blew me away . The layout was intriguing fascinating and a pure delight for Any foodie like me . It reminded me in many ways of the markets in far off countries I have explored only much cleaner. With its side passages to explore with new delights to smell and treat you taste buds to . I loved the way the stall holders were happy to let you sample foods .and the jostling crowds were much more civilized than abroad . This place is a touch of heaven but beware you could spend a great deal here as i absolutely did 😉 NOT TO BE MISSED
Lynn C — Google review
Good place to visit if you want local and organic produce. Even had a merchant selling lots of vegan brands and a baker offering vegan pastries. We came here late (around 5.15pm and already most stalls were closed or closing down although it was said to be open till 6. If you have the time come visit but I'd not consider it a must-see attraction in Cork.
Sammy S — Google review
There are a lot of grocery shopping options and a number of lunch options. It was neat to see this historical market still hustling and bustling. A parking garage is a short 3 minute walk away. We just wished there were more options available to sit to enjoy the lunch we purchased.
Sam H — Google review
Cool indoor market with the full gamut of meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, fresh baking, coffee, juices, sushi, you name it. Definitely worth a visit but be careful if hungry! The Farmgate Cafe is worth a visit (up on the balcony/terrace) if all the food on display gets the better of your appetite
Mike L — Google review
The English Market in Cork is a classic covered market right in the heart of the city, offering a bit of everything: meat, fish, cheese, sweets, and local specialties of good quality. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the place has a certain historic charm, with its traditional stalls and well-preserved Victorian architecture. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in Cork, whether to pick up some Irish delicacies or to experience a slice of local life. That said, the market isn’t particularly lively or impressive compared to other major European markets — it lacks the vibrant mix of colors, aromas, and cultural variety you might find in larger capitals. In short, it’s a nice spot to see while in Cork, but not a must-see attraction for those who have already explored famous markets in cities like London, Madrid, or Paris.
Davide L — Google review
Came by on a Monday at around 2:30 AM, excited to try some food. Unfortunately, everything seemed pretty basic and overpriced, and there didn’t seem to be too many options. Instead, the stalls mainly sell produce, meat, cheese, and seafood, which would be great if you were a local, but we were just visiting. There are a few stalls selling things like candies/honey/jams, that were reasonably priced, so we bought a few of those to bring home as souvenirs. We spent probably about half an hour walking around and made it through the entire market. It was fun to walk around and see all the local goods/products, but don’t expect a lot of options for good food if you’re hungry.

Shopping
Located in Cork, Ireland, Mahon Point Shopping Centre is a contemporary enclosed mall with two levels of retailers, cafes, and a cinema. It offers ample parking for visitors. The center features over 60 stores including popular brands like Tesco, Zara, Rituals, and more. Additionally, it provides various services such as a weekly farmers market, free style advisor service, drop-in creche facility and direct bus routes. The shopping center also boasts dining options like Milano and Nandos.
Hi I visited your shop as I was attending a wedding and needed accessories. I was asked if I needed any help from Lauren. This girl was fantastic I explained I needed things for a wedding she was so nice, she asked what colour my dress, shoes, bag was then pointed out things I probably wouldn’t have picked but she explained these would bring out certain colours in my dress. I bought everything she recommended and was given so many compliments at the wedding. What a wonderful girl and an asset to your shop I will definitely visit again.
Wendy S — Google review
Great shopping center with a wide variety of stores, restaurants, and a cinema. Spacious, clean, and easy to navigate. Plenty of parking available and a good choice for both shopping and leisure.
Staszek T — Google review
I recently visited Mahon Point Shopping Centre and was genuinely impressed by how well-rounded the experience was. From the moment we arrived we found ample free parking, which made entry and exit much smoother than expected. Inside, the centre offers a great variety of stores, from high-street fashion brands to electronics and homeware, so whether you’re popping in for something specific or browsing for fun, there’s plenty to choose from. The food court and café options also deserve a mention — with different cuisines and a comfortable seating area, it felt like a place where you could spend some time relaxing rather than just rushing in and out. What really stood out was the centre’s focus on sustainability and comfort — free WiFi, accessible transport links, and a family-friendly layout all made it feel modern and welcoming. If I had to pick a couple of minor drawbacks, it would be that during busy periods the traffic into and out of the centre can be a bit congested, and some of the lower foot-traffic stores seemed quieter than expected. However, overall the positives far outweigh these small issues. I’ll definitely be returning, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a full shopping experience in Cork.
Lokeshwar M — Google review
Beautiful shopping centre with loads of goodies. You could spend a whole day in here. There's plenty to keep one busy. Different eateries . You will sure find what catches your fancy in there .😃 And there's most of the cool clothing shops there too . I like how the owners of this shopping center take Christmas seriously 😅. the decor is something to write home about.,😍 It's beautiful. I always like coming out here Christmas season. Though it's always beautiful. Just special this season 🤣
O E — Google review
Lovely to see the Christmas lights adoring the Shopping Centre. There was a lovely buzz around as people are getting ready for the Christmas Season. It's a pity there are no seats around the centre to sit down, only if you purchase food and sit down with the COVID passports. Hopefully seats will return to shopping centres.
Anne D — Google review
I was shocked by the cinema cleanner manager’s behavior (Ellen or something like that) She treated her own team with pure disrespect, making rude and xenophobic remarks right in front of customers. It was disgusting to watch, and it completely ruined the experience. No business should allow someone so unprofessional and hateful to be in charge.
Raul P — Google review
A full fledged shopping mall with a good range of shopping outlets. The highlight is the cinemas which is Omniplex, the best screening in Cork. It also hosts a good range of restaurants at the food hub with spacious seating.
Prajwal G — Google review
Nice shopping centre. Only problem is when it's busy, it takes an age to get into and out of it. Very bad road layout and only one way to enter and exit!

The tour also includes free time to explore the mystical Rock Close with its ancient curiosities. We enjoyed our visit to Blarney Woolen Mills. They carry their own goods plus other Irish made sweaters and goods. We purchased a sweater and some other souvenirs (keychains, magnets). They had the best prices on souvenirs. High quality keychains that other shops charge $10.... are $4-6 here.

Good traditional and regional products. Unfortunately only knitting needles from India and not from Germany (addi). I bought a wool sweater in merino quality to a good price.
Marc B — Google review
The shop has a huge variety of goods - the Guiness selection was one of the best I have seen. The care was nice and the little robot wandering around with the trays was fun to watch.
Exeter T — Google review
What a fantastic shop! The only thing I didn’t like about this shop is once you’ve been there you don’t need to go anyplace else. So if you’re looking for a sweater, slacks, a hat, gloves, socks, kitchenware, jewelry, souvenirs, shoes, kids clothes, can’t think of anything else, this is your place.
Nobox G — Google review
Great place to have a look around for souvenirs and bigger items. You have a pub and somewhere to get something to eat. Parking can get busy.
Steve B — Google review
Like everything else about this place, it was magical! But be prepared to lighten your wallet when you visit. The clothes are so soft and they will ship your purchases for free if they are over $300, which is super easy to do! And you can combine with a friend for free shipping.

The restaurant and the shopping were incredible!! Upon arriving and seeing the busses, I was worried it was just a tourist spot, but I was wrong!!! It is a tourist spot, yet so we'll done. I had one of the best breakfasts of my life, the Wild Mushroom. Imagine poached eggs, a generous pour of hollandaise over a mountain of perfectly cooked mushrooms on toast. The Woolen Mill has quality made beautiful products, with items in every budget!

Flea & Street Markets
In Cork's Victorian Quarter, the Mother Jones Flea Market is a must-visit indoor market with a variety of vintage goods. Each stall offers unique finds, from ditsy-print china to vinyl records and upcycled furniture. The on-site cafe provides a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy live music during jazz sessions or local band performances. Named after a renowned trade unionist, this market is a treasure trove of books, clothes, furniture, and eclectic items.
This is a really cool antique shop located in Cork City. It has many items to look at. From collectors items to genuine actual home decoration. I would highly recommend a visit to this store if you like old fashioned items and/or antique products. The staff are very nice and very helpful. I bought old Irish notes here where I could not find anywhere else in the city. This is ideal for coin collectors. They also have vintage clothing, music and everything really. I would not miss this place if you like to shop for vintage or antiques.
BCL A — Google review
While visiting Cork we came across this fun indoor antique shop. Fun walking through and seeing the variety of items they have collected. A little over priced, but we still bought a few items to take back home.
Tim — Google review
Funny place with old everything, including religious items, fur coats, clothes, adverts signs of all kids, jewellery, cutlery, kitchen ware, coal bunkers, records, stationery, statuettes, tapes, etc, I can't even list everything here... Might be a good place for antiques lovers or people who like recycling items.
A H — Google review
Lots if very interesting stuff here. Store is jammed with suff everywhere as you would expect a thrift store. Good location off a main street of restaurants and bars.
Russell H — Google review
Very cool and authentic antiques inside this flea market, as well as vintage clothes at a reasonable price
Alexandra S — Google review
The shop is very clean, they have a lot of interesting items, the staff are very welcoming, my daughter found a very nice T-shirt. Although this shop is very inviting (I think) but the prices can be on the higher side

Merchants Quay Shopping Centre, situated on Patrick Street in Cork, is a laid-back shopping complex offering a diverse range of stores, services, and casual dining options. The two-story facility houses department stores like Debenhams and Dunnes Stores, as well as fashion outlets, grocery stores, health and beauty shops, entertainment options, and dining facilities such as Marks & Spencer, Supervalu, Boots and more. Additionally, the center hosts the popular Farmers Market in Midleton every Saturday morning.
I absolutely love Cork, Ireland. I enjoy seeing everybody walking, which is not something I see often in Jacksonville, Florida. Additionally, I had the opportunity to see the statue of Father Matthew, the apostle of temperance, and it was such an amazing structure.
Lloyd C — Google review
A wonderful shopping complex offering many different services, a variety of well thoughtout stores & informal dining options. You can pick up your weekly shop or grab a new outfit. It's located just minutes from the Parnell bus station. I personally love swinging by on the way out of Cork to grab any last-minute items. Don't delay swing by today. You won't be disappointed.
Howard J — Google review
If you’re able to navigate the very steep terrain to the top of the cliff, you’ll be rewarded exceedingly with a spectacular view as far as your eyes can see.
Dandy A — Google review
The shopping centre smelled horrendous, walking up and down it smelt like late night in a Saturday when its throwing out time and they forgot to use the toilet before they left. There were plenty of charity shops and cafes but little else. Although its one saving grace was a beautiful "kids" sweet shop, hey just because im old doesn't mean I dont love sweets, absolutely lovely shop with lovely staff. To be honest though once we had spent a small fortune on sweets, we frog marched out of the town, jumped in the car and went back to our hotel, which if I was doing a review on that, it would be pretty dire too.
Stephen B — Google review
Some very good shops direct in the centre of the city - cost of parking quite high. Traffic issues between 3 and 6 daily as no access to Patrick Street. What a great idea to save the planet.
Maurice B — Google review
Always good to visit M&S and Dunnes but such a pity that some of the units upstairs are empty - especially since a large restaurant closed at the end - it had great views over " Pana " and the Bridge/ River Just my twohalpence but why did almost all the shopping centre present a blank wall to the river to the north Any view overlooking water and activity is worth amplifying ,IMO This is a good " buzz" here and Dunnes now have a revamped grocery shop on the ground floor I believe there are plans for a revamp of the upper floor and the sooner the better - this should be a standout destination in the City I noticed also that Dunnes are now doing a Cafe in their outlets which will put it up to the existing outlets with such as a € 5.50 breakfast Also notice a " charity shop " on the ground floor and a Dealz - not a good omen for any shopping centre, again IMO

It's okay for a shopping centre, depends on what you are looking for I suppose. It's very warm and airless in there. Couple of cafes both do good food and drinks usual range of teas and coffees etc.
Tracey K — Google review
This is a large shopping centre that basically does "what it says on the tin". There are two main tenants - Tesco and Penny's - and a good variety of other shops. There are several entrances, adequate parking, and it's on public transport routes. I'm not there often, just when I have appointments in the area, but from what I've seen, the shopping centre is clean and well maintained.

Went up the last day looking for nose piercings, “18k carrot gold” nope, spent a fortune on them for my nose not to hurt and so they’ll stay in while im sleeping. my nose still hurts and still falling out of my nose, useless for proper communication or even a bit far behind everybody else. You’re racking up a fierce karmic debt so you are Claire’s

Recently refurbished car parking facilities has greatly improved that aspect of this shopping experience. Not vast in terms of size, and not entirely under one roof, the biggest draw here seems to be the large and well-stocked Dunne’s Stores outlet. Lots of small shops, coffee shops, phone outlets, newsagent, hobby and crafts, travel agency, hairdressers, cafeteria and even a green-grocer’s are all contained here. Cummins sport shop located outside as well as gardening market stalls. Toilet facilities are very good here, cleaned regularly I’m delighted to see.

I had a great time at Paul Street Shopping Centre. The variety of stores was impressive, and the layout was easy to navigate. I enjoyed a relaxing coffee break in the outdoor seating area. The staff were friendly, and the overall vibe was welcoming. Definitely a place I'd return to

The car parking area still brings Me back in time, so enjoy the nostalgia, instead of seeing old a d shabby, but lovely to see the downstairs area looking so refreshed, new and existing shops all looking good.

Bustling shopping mall in centre of city, Tesco, OBrien restaurant, a coffee shop, Bennetts shoe repairs which I highly recommend wouldn't go anywhere else for my shoe repairs, jewellery store & much more & a multistory carpark, which is ideal & can be entered from the Quay side up from the Opera house

Great atmosphere and so much shopping and shop's there
Thomas B — Google review
Tesco is an absolute disgrace here. When I visited here, the only option for checkout was self-service. I don't work for Tesco, so why do I have to do a member of their staffs job. A shopping centre of its size and only 1 person making checkout. Absolutely disgusting. I won't be returning

Not much in there these days. Ideal parking location
Jason W — Google review
Paul Street Shopping Centre in Cork City offers a pleasant shopping experience with a few areas for improvement. This shopping centre exudes warmth, making it a comfortable place to shop. The staff members are friendly and helpful, adding to the positive atmosphere. One noteworthy aspect is the convenience of parking, making the overall visit hassle-free. While Paul Street Shopping Centre has its charm, it could benefit from a more extensive selection of stores. The current selection, while good, leaves room for growth, and expanding the variety of shops could enhance the overall appeal.

Italian restaurant
Restaurant
Scoozi is a family-friendly restaurant located on Winthrop Lane in Cork, trading since 1993. The place offers a lively Italian dining experience with a relaxed and modern atmosphere. It's known for its burgers but also serves breakfast until noon, featuring options like pink porridge and fruit with West Cork honey. The restaurant is popular among families, offering a great kids menu and hosting a weekly coloring competition to keep little ones entertained. Additionally, they have vegan and gluten-free options available.
We ate at this place this evening. The manager who greeted us advised there was no table available (6pm Saturday evening) but if we were happy to wait 15 minutes we could be accommodated. We happily waited and were seated within 15 minutes. The entire staff were amongst the most attentive I’ve ever come across and appear genuinely happy to be there. The decor is very cosy and quaint. The food was spectacular. You can taste the quality and level of freshness of the ingredients. You really can see why this place won awards for the best food in cork in 2021 and again in 2025. You can see why people are willing to wait for this establishment. We even bumped into a local as we were lost the evening before nowhere near the place and he actually recommended this place. It was only once we were seated inside that I remembered this. Not just recommended by tourists but by locals as well. Just shows how well regarded this establishment is!!! Well done guys and keep up the good work!

Scoozi is a family favourite and for a reason. It's a staple within the Cork food scene. It serves Italian food with an Irish twist, it's simple yet tasty. It's nice to see familiar faces within the place, their maître d' has been around for a while. He's always very friendly and welcoming. Due to the demand, bookings are hard to come by and the queues can get very long. Tried to use their booking system and emailed to confirm, but did not hear anything from the restaurant. Better off ringing the restaurant to confirm/make bookings. Prices are in line with inflation and prices around Cork. Buffalo wings are covered in a tangy, sweet smokey sauce, very similar to BBQ sauce and were quite tough. Their desserts have noticeably decreased in size. Staff are really accommodating and were generally lovely to accommodate a family, especially with a toddler. Overall, would never turn down a visit to Scoozi but it is harder to get in the door nowadays without a booking 😅.

Writing this review is making me want to book a table all over again — the food was outstanding! The classic lasagne was honestly one of the most delicious I’ve ever had in my life — rich, hearty, and perfectly balanced. My now-husband had the pasta, which was cooked to perfection. The sauce was a rich tomato with just the right kick of spice. The pizza had that perfect crispy edge — not too thick, not too thin. But the star of the show? The Toblerone cheesecake. As a huge cheesecake fan, I can honestly say I did not want to share. It was creamy, fluffy, and the buttery base crumbled beautifully under the fork. A truly enjoyable experience — the perfect fun date night. Highly recommended. ✨ Good vibes 💷 Good value 🍽️ Great food 💑 Fantastic company

First time here and will defo be back! Got the chicken and chorizo pasta, really delicious. The main server at the front door and the lady who took our payment at the end were really friendly too. Only one tiny complaint - the “passionfruit martini” on the menu was an orange 😂 still delicious just maybe remove the word passionfruit from the name!

I went to Scoozi from the recommendation of my work colleague. I only had 30 min spare as I had to run for airport so I asked the waiter if its possible to fit me in for 30 min timing as I have to get my order and eat within 30 min to catch earlier ordered taxi for airport. The waiter was kind enough to recommend the amazing burger which was brought to me within 5 min and after eating it I even had some spare time left! Thank you so much for an awesome service. With given chance to come back to Cork I'll go deffinitelly back to try other delicious food 😊

We came here looking for authentic Italian food and unfortunately left very disappointed. When I asked if the pasta was fresh, our server didn’t even seem to know what fresh pasta was—I had to explain it. We started with the Greek tartlet, but the base was raw at the bottom. The pizzas were no better: the dough wasn’t remotely close to authentic, and the Margherita came with a lot of balsamic drizzled on top, which was just strange. We also ordered loaded fries and were told they were frozen—honestly, they tasted it too. Overall, the food was poor quality, nowhere near Italian standards, and yet wildly overpriced for what’s being served. This place feels over-rated and in no way represents proper Italian cooking. Hard pass from me.

Ordered the the Tagliatelle Carbonara. It came with garlic bread. I really liked the sauce, as it was smooth and butter wasn't separating. I would definitely recommend.

Such a new gem in town, it’s so delicious and authentic! Cork deserves more top-notch genuine Chinese/Cantonese like this one. Salute to the owner and staff. Keep up your amazing work!

Really good Chinese food that's a bit on the pricier side of things. There's also a second menu that you can ask for which supposedly contains more authentic dishes. The food, like duck and chicken, might come with bone (do ask). The Hong Kong style roast duck is really tender, the crispy chilli chicken and the pepper beef are really good too. The staff were really nice and helpful too, to give advise.

The best Asian food in Cork, friendly service, nice atmosphere and the food is unbelievable… the portions it’s large and it’s everything like the photos also the taste it is unreal, the pork belly and duck were crispy, the food arrived fast even though the restaurant was quite busy . Fast service too. Fair prices for the food and portion!

Great place for really tasty Chinese food that is outside of the standard fare. The fish in the sea bass and pickled cabbage soup was remarkably fresh and the portion was generous. If you're not used to the type of heat from Sechuan peppers you might want to ask them to make your food mild for you. I also tried the scallops there. Delicious! Lovely friendly staff too.

First entering the restaurant, the atmosphere was quiet and tranquil. We were greeted by a polite man who took us to a table, was patient and welcoming. Were given complimentary towel packets and the portions were large and appetizing. The prices were fair for how much your having 20-30 euro per person. Not any rude waiters as some comments suggest, our visit was recent and very much enjoyable. We recommend coming here for a casual meal in peace or to share a few moments with your family. Overall really clean and suitable, loved coming here :)

Probably the best Chinese food I've had in Cork. The aromatic duck was delicious and came with a lotta meat and veggies. For dessert they don't have a menu but have ice cream or a chocolate cake with cream. The cake was once again one of the best I've had. Moist and chocolatey! We did have an "accompaniment" fee added to our table of 4 (3 euros per person) which presumably was the service fee.

Food: Food was pretty decent. We had steamed prawn dumplings and they are absolutely authentic. I would have liked the size of the dumplings to be larger, but taste wise, they nailed it. We also ordered chicken in schezwan sauce and egg fried rice, it was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend this dish, it’ll give a nice taste to your palette. The hot and sour chicken soup was okay. Service: Whilst the food was great, we found however the service to be a bit slow. Ambience: Ambience is really good and gives out cozy yet authentic vibes. Overall, it was a pretty decent experience.

I tried the Cantonese roast duck in mala sauce, recommended by the staff and it was delicious. The duck was fresh and cooked to order, unlike some other places where it tastes pre-cooked. You can really taste the quality and freshness here.

Visited on Sunday evening. The food was really good. The service was really good. I was a bit taken a back though when I was leaving, after already paying at the counter when i was exiting the waitress said " have ye paid? " . Found that to be a little bit Insensitive having already paid the bill 👀 As a manager in a customer service facing role I certainly would not be nor be recommending my staff to deem that to be an appropriate way to approach a customer . Did I need to have the receipt in full view of the waitress when I was leaving only because she didn't see me pay ? Please look into this for yourselves going forward. As I said food was lovely though outside of that and the other staff were great thoroughout our time there. Would of been 5 star only for the end of the experience

This restaurant is brilliant. The service is exceptional and the food and drinks are great! We got chicken Parmesan, vegetable soup, carrot cake (GF), an eclair, and mochas to drink. It was always a full house each time I crossed it. I finally gave in. Artisan food. I mean, come on. I made a reservation, just to be safe. A pleasant dining experience with modern interiors, hidden away on an inside street. The nicest peas and courgette soup I've ever had, and a decent savory well-cooked pesto melt chicken sandwich. The tortilla chicken salad was alright, though it was presented well with the elements separated to mix to your own delight. I quite liked the idea of it. They have spacious seating and, a short wine assortment, and what felt like an aisle of mouth-watering desserts that I will be revisiting the cafe for very very soon.

Cute, spacious cafe with hearty portions and sweet treats. Came here for brunch after arriving in Cork on an early morning train, so a heavy meal was exactly needed. The cafe was busy even though it was Monday, but we got seated within 5 minutes. Indoor seating and takeaway available. The waitresses were nice and I liked the decor. I got the smoked salmon on scrambled eggs with brown bread, while my friend got the Irish breakfast. Neither of us could finish our plates, which were substantial. My dish was on the saltier side; it looked like the tables around us were order more of the sweet items. Overall, it’s a cute spot that’s good for friends as well as families.

We had dinner here last week. We had been here a number of years ago and the standard has gone down a lot. I had seafood chowder which was full of potatoes and very little seafood and came with a skin on top. The turkey was dry and the ham looked like it was out of a packet, there was no stuffing which is very odd with a turkey and ham meal. The potatoes and gravy were nice. Side order of chips were dry and mostly inedible. The toffee apple dessert (sticky toffee) didn’t look appealing but tasted okay. We ordered two soft drinks and one non-alcoholic Tom Collins. There is a good cocktail menu but they won’t do other mocktails outside of Friday and Saturday. Service was okay but when plates clearly with uneaten food on them were returned there was no checking if they were okay. We spent €106, I would not be returning.

Top-notch, professional service by Saoirse, followed by an exquisite meal. This reviewer can submit that this was easily the best pizza he’s ever had. 10/10 again. In cork for a week and I’ve eaten here for the third time. It has NOT disappointed. My son had a spice bag restaurant style and I had Sweet and Sour Chicken with rice. We've gone to Soba in Blackpool regularly since we moved to the area four years ago, and we've never once had a bad experience. The food is top value for money and always consistent, which makes all the difference in the world to my partner, who is on the spectrum. The atmosphere is relaxed yet elegant and professional. And the staff are just wonderful. Sincere, mindful, on the ball. Our four year old insists on coming with me when we pick up food - or sit in - to say hi to Andy and his fellow staff, to pet the wobbling cat ornament on the counter, and no doubt, because I can't remember the last time he didn't walk out of there with a complimentary lollipop or hand full of candy. Fabulous restaurant in every way.

Terrible experience. This was my fourth visit to the place and I have to say today was the last one.We went for lunch today and we found the entire staff sitting and eating. The man who took our order was constantly getting up to bring drinks and food and then sitting down to eat again. While he was takin our order he was very impatient. This is very unprofessional. We got the wrong drinks order. Looking at him eating we didn't even bother complaining. I work in the restaurant for more than 20 years and I really understand the restaurant dynamic and that the staff needs to eat but paying customer shouldn't be involved in the process.
Nebojsa S — Google review
Stopped here for dinner on our Cork trip looking for an authentic Asian experience. It was extremely underwhelming. The pineapples in the sweet and sour chicken were completely raw, the chicken in all dishes was chewy, and the gyozo/spring rolls were not crispy. The Pad Thai lacked flavor. The prices were €13.9 per main for eat-in and 12.9 for takeaway. We ate-in expecting a nice dining experience, but the plastic cutlery of green forks and black knives was the last nail in the coffin. The only positive was the staff. They were nice and friendly.

Customers praise the store's variety of goods and its upcoming expansion plans due to its popularity as a shopping destination.
Probably the nicest supermarket I have ever been too, full of fantastic local produce plus your usual brands, very nicely laid out with very helpful and friendly staff. You also have a proper bakery, butchers and fishmonger and another section that sells homeware and clothes, I even had breakfast there!
Joel Z — Google review
A nice and pleasant place to shop for quality things. After multiple visits, the staff are pleasant and helpful, especially if I’m trying to find a certain item—instead of just telling me where to find it, they take the time to walk there with me to make sure it’s there. This has happened several times. The bakery items are good too.
J. K — Google review
I don't come here very often because it's not anywhere near where I live but if you haven't been, go visit. It's worth it. I don't buy clothes here, only come for the Food Court and it really is superb. Think English Market + Marks & Spencers and then double that and you might approximate the quality. The Cheese section, Bakery, Meat, Fish and vegetable sections are just top class but it's the sheer choice and variety of goods that are on display is what makes it a must visit. Its a pleasure to just walk around and browse! When I walked in the first thing I noticed was my go to Coffee brand on offer for €3.25 per pack. I've been paying €11 for two packs in a different shop for months! So there are bargains available. Why does the best supermarket in Cork lose a star? Few things possibly outside the shops control. Parking can be difficult to find, it can be very busy in there and in general it's not cheap, especially in the meat section. Also not unusual to see loafs of bread at €5+ which is a bit insane for something made on site. Saw a small Scull loaf at €1.70. Having said that, if you want to treat yourself to top quality produce, this, in my opinion, is the best food shopping experience Cork has to offer!

Love it 🥰 it’s such an amazing place and they are making it bigger next they will need a Multi story car park to cope with all the people who want to shop here it has everything one would need . Food and cloths and house hold things . Christmas 🎄 🎁 has arrived 🎅

Dunnes Bishopstown is one of my favorite stops, not alone do they sell good produce but their restaurant is first class, I frequent there twice weekly for their five piece breakfast offer which also includes, tea/coffee toast and marmalade

Parking spaces are difficult to find, maby invest in a high-rise parking system, 😑 🙄.. But lovely 😍 👌 food and lots of lovely clothes 😊. Yes I love ❤️ it. Worth a visit...
Mary K — Google review
This is by far the best Dunnes Stores I have been too, well organised compared to many I have been in. Vibrant space to be in, the welcoming atmosphere, ambience and shop aura would make you want to spend more time in the cafés located within the building - or deli variety with hot or cold options to snack on😋, a dedicated cheese stand for cheese lovers. Quite impressed with the space layout, fresh smell and tidiness that's why am giving this a 4 star. Highly recommended 🌟🌟🌟🌟

It’s a shopping centre. It’s fine. It has a supermarket and other things. Nice free book swapping service. Cork City FC shop is cool too. Need more League of Ireland shops generally. Gets an extra star for that.

Slowly but surely becoming BETTER. I view it as a proper shopping centre since they brought in the food court... Shops like TK Max, M&S and Tesco bring up its appeal. The library is a fabulous resource for adults&children alike. (Personal Favourite is the Card Factory ✨️ ) Good range of eateries with varied cuisines 🍣 🍲🥞 Parking options are excellent🅿️ Children's play area is super handy!

Good shopping centre is dog friendly and can sit in Starbucks. Car park awful, always queues to get in, steep incline to park which will cause cars to roll back, make sure your car has a good clutch, should be monitored more. Shops ok, Tesco store big.

Market Green Shopping Centre, Retail Park and Plaza in Cork, Ireland is a top destination for shopping enthusiasts. It offers a wide range of fashion clothing and shoe stores, making it convenient for visitors to find everything they need. The shopping center also houses various shops selling clothes, shoes, and food at reasonable prices. Additionally, there is a large Tesco supermarket with great discounts and local 3G sim cards for tourists.
Market Green – A Bright, Spacious, and Community-Friendly Shopping Center Market Green is a wonderful shopping center in our town, offering a great mix of convenience, variety, and charm. The space is bright and spacious, making it easy and enjoyable to walk around. It's perfect for running errands, grabbing a bite to eat, or simply browsing. You'll find a wide range of shops and services here: a large Tesco, a well-equipped sports store (with stairs but also a lift for accessibility), a Specsavers for eye care, and a helpful dentist. There’s also St. Macaulay’s Pharmacy and two hair salons. There’s a small repair kiosk in the center that specializes in fixing mobile phones, tablets, and computers — very handy for quick tech repairs. For food and drink, there’s a cozy café and a small but tasty sushi spot. Market Green is very family-friendly too, with a baby changing room located in the bathroom area. There are also two gift shops — one is more high-end, and the other is quite unique, offering a mix of charming gifts and health products. The Post Office is conveniently located, and there’s even a photo booth inside. One of the loveliest touches is the cork notice boards where local people can post ads, events, or announcements — it gives the center a real community feel. Another great advantage is the large car park with plenty of space. There are special family parking bays that are wider than normal, making it easy to get kids in and out of the car or load buggies without any hassle. Overall, Market Green is a clean, modern, and welcoming place that meets the everyday needs of the community while keeping a local, friendly vibe.

Is very convenient to reach if you stay at Middleton hotel. Beside that, inside the shopping have some shop which selling some clothes, shoes, food with reasonable price. Tesco also got some best discount. I had buy one bear with €6 instead of €36. For the tourist, Tesco have selling the local 3G simcard. I like here because people are very helpful.

Great to have family car spaces but someone should check who parks there… everyone except for mothers/fathers with kids… today I waited for a space and I just saw people with no kids parking there… ridiculous!!!!

Opp to Tesco there is a little candy/ice Cream store. there is a old cranky lady who is absolutely racist and sweared a bad word. Someone really need to take action on her. when she sees other nationality she starts to give bad words and come near you to argue. She spoils my day and we are there to shop at tesco every week. but now we should move somewhere else.

Clean Friendly. Tesco's Staff got their own Toilets. However Staff use The Public Toilet. Impinging Those Disabled From accessing Disabled Toilet as a Matter of Urgency. Management Aware
Jim L — Google review
Nice enough shopping centre. Tesco not the cheapest for weekly shop but they do have a decent gluten free section here. Heatons, hairdresser, barber, clothes shops, health food shop, restaurant, chemist, specsavers, coffee dock, public toilets, lots of free parking and next door to the cinema and lots of other shops like Co-op, Army Surplus etc. Still wouldn't be my favorite place to go but it's okay.
Kieran K — Google review
Wiseguys give a great haircut and nice staff. Some other shops have friendly staff but Tescos staff are the exact opposite and seem to spend their time pushing shelf stocking carts around or leaving them parked in aisles. Condition of the men’s toilet is poor. No seats on unclean toilet bowls

Great parking, plenty of big shops. And good for almost anything. Family friendly, inviting atmosphere. Worth a visit.

The mall is great but unfortunately when I visited one of the shops ( art and hobby) my nephew who’s autistic wasn’t treated very well by one of the staff members at this shop. When my older nephew (11 years old) accidentally entered near the till this guy very rudely in a high pitch said “ OUT”. He also continued talking to himself loudly “ I want to break hands of those (customers) who opened the flags” which as very uncomfortable for us as both our boys are special needs. This guy was tall white man ( mentioning this to make sure no other staff member gets blamed) I feel this needs to be addressed as this may affect the footfall of the mall which won’t be fair. Kind regards,

If anyone is are looking for large scale photo printing avoid Haven Pharmacy in this shopping center. They claim to be a FujiFilm print service, to be honest I have not seen photo printing quality this poor for over 30 year. The printer is not calibrated, the colors are extremely off, and the printer is so poor quality that it shocking how much detail is lost in during the printing process. The last time I saw photo printing this bad was the cheap home inject printer that you got in the early 1990's. The picture I paid for were so disgraceful I told the girl to dump them and walked out of the store. The printing paper used was very poor quality, even with a half decent printer I know that it possible to get an ok print on low grade paper, so the issue here was the extremely poor quality uncalibrated printer which is not complaint to FujiFilm standards How bad is it when a customer who has paid for a product is in such shock at the result that they just walk our the store with our arguing for a refund. It complete us fair to customer to sell such disgraceful printing service for large format. I have never seen Photo Printing quality this disgraceful from anyone who is offering a commercial photo printing services.

Hi, I was clamped last Saturday (17th May) down by Lidl, but the clamper works for Riverview Shopping Centre. there are no sign down that end of the carpark, I was 10/15 minutes in Lidl doing my shopping, I had parked to the side of Lidl for the shade, and then had to pay 125 euro to get the clamp off. I am trying to contact Riverview, but the telephone numbers listed are not correct and I can't see an email or any way of contacting the owners of Riverview. Any advice or contact details would be appreciated, Anne

While the atmosphere is inviting and calm—offering a pleasant escape from the city's hustle—the variety of stores could use some enhancement to cater to diverse tastes.
What a hidden Gem.... we had the 3 course meal and the selection was great, we didn't feel limited at all. Each course was delicious and the sticky toffee pudding was the best I've ever had. Definitely 5 stars.

Cornmarket Centre manager was illegally blocking my vehicle from leaving the footpath adjacent to the shopping centre. An Garda Síochána had to be called, only later I had to cancel the assistance request as this manager changed his mind and went inside with the bollard. Strange behaviour from this manager, who hires these people? He really has nothing better to do or what's his problem?

For the size of the building, it does underwhelm. The best parts in here are TKMaxx and the little cafe appropriately named "De Caf". This place makes a nice cup of coffee and is attached to the bar next door which makes amazing pizza. The other outlets in here come and go and lack any real character. There is a Lidl also in the building which requires an escalator to go down to the basement level.

Lemon Tree Chinese Cuisine is a popular spot known for its delicious Chinese dishes. Visitors have raved about the flavorful seasoning and tasty options like the spice bag and mega box. The restaurant offers good food with fairly fast service, making it a convenient choice for those looking to enjoy some quality Chinese cuisine.
In my opinion, this is the best spicy bag in Cork. Presentation wise, lemon tree spicy bag is in a snack box, which is nicer, other places just put into a bag. Price is also cheaper than other places. Chicken is tender and not that dry compared to other places. Cash only though but you can go to Galvins Carry Out nearby to get cash.

North Main Street Shopping Centre is a vibrant shopping destination in Cork City, offering a diverse range of shops and businesses for both locals and tourists to explore. The street has a rich historical background, once being part of the old medieval city of Cork, as evidenced by the embedded plaques showcasing the names of narrow lanes. Visitors can immerse themselves in the history of the area by checking out old city maps at the city library.

Why you tell for people lies in your old pictures that you have dunnes and other stores while in reality is all gone and empty delete your old stuff and put images as is today let to know people that almost all shops has gone just like in other places
Julija D — Google review
Well done to the two businesses who still trade in this shell of a building. Even the toilets have closed, which is just as well because they were a real health hazard, being seldom cleaned, and even then, completely inadequately. That neglect extends to the entire street, which has several buildings lying empty, some for decades. The inertia of Cork City Council is to blame for this decay, because they are brain dead when it comes to seeking creative solutions. That all said, I love the atmosphere on this street, driven by the banter of Cork Northside people who use it as the main walking route from the city centre towards North Gate Bridge, the gateway to the best place in the world.
Simon R — Google review
Only parked my car there. But the public area needs attention. Hand rail along the stairway was on the ground. And everything is dirty.

Once a hub of activity and main attraction for North Main Street. Their main anchor tenant Dunnes Stores pulled out in 2016 and hence other small shops have closed in there leaving just a convenience store and pharmacy left. The Shopping Centre still has it's public toilets and car-park open for use.

“MyUkrainianGP” – this is the worst choice it could have been, several times were. The first time listened 30 minutes from the administrator from Ukraine how she works hard overtime and she doesn't get paid to do it. For the next appointment, the same administrator forgot to record us, while saying that he had recorded. We arrived, spent money on the road and left without result. It is strange that after such displeasure with work that we heard at the first appointment, she still works at all. An angry and aggressive person.

A depressing and dismal place. This was once, one of the premier shopping centres in Cork city but it lost that crown a long long time ago. It is unlikely it will ever regain this. Major refurb required, and that ugly multi storey car park could do with a major external paint job. The only advantage to this shopping centre is that the car park is handy for car parking in the city centre.

Nestled in the heart of Cork, Workatreat Massage Therapy is a hidden gem located at the Therapy Rooms at Victoria Station. Visitors have described it as a treasure offering more than meets the eye. Karolina, the therapist, has received high praise for her expertise and ability to address various issues such as pelvic girdle pain during pregnancy and ongoing back and hip pain. Her deep tissue massages are particularly lauded for effectively releasing muscle tension and knots.
The space was clean, peaceful, and beautifully set up to enhance the whole experience. You can really tell Karolina cares deeply about her clients and her work. Her technique is truly exceptional, she worked with a perfect balance of pressure and flow. This was easily one of the best massages I’ve ever had, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a professional, healing, and soul-nourishing massage.
Alice G — Google review
Had a deep tissue massage for neck, shoulders & back tension from extended computer and phone use with generally poor posture as a middle aged IT worker. I have been to plenty of other therapists from physio to physical to spinologists but none have gone into deep tissue like this before. I can feel a massive difference all over. I'm breathing much better and so much tension has been released. 100% will definitely be returning.

I was extremely happy with my experience. Karolina was so attentive and thorough. Great advice was given during and post treatment also. I had great movement the next day and Karolina gave great practical advice as to how to manage my ailment long term. I heartily would recommend this establishment.

I’ve been visiting Workatreat Massage Therapy center regularly for over two years now, and I can confidently say it’s been one of the best decisions for my health and well-being. Karolina is absolutely fantastic, highly professional, friendly, and truly skilled at what she does. Her deep tissue massages have been incredibly effective in helping me recover from chronic back and shoulder pain. Every session leaves me feeling noticeably better, both physically and mentally. You can tell she genuinely cares about her client’s needs and always ensures the experience is comfortable and therapeutic. The ambience of the place adds so much to the overall experience; calm, clean, and thoughtfully set up. The soulful background music playing during sessions creates a deeply relaxing atmosphere that helps melt the stress away. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality, consistent, and effective massage therapy. A real gem!

Karolina is an exceptional therapist. She is patient, highly skilled, and truly understands the root of the issue. I’ve been to several massage therapists and top physiotherapists in Cork, but none compare to her. What she’s achieved with my condition—something I thought was unfixable—is remarkable. I am a regular customer and the food is delicious as well as super healthy. The only negative is they put too much salt on the salad leaves but this is optional so tell them no :-) The spelt salad is one of my favourites and I have lost lots of weight by switching my regular lunch to Rocket Man. The seating is outdoors only so its really takeaway centric.

The food is excellent, in particular their chicken and salads. The staff are generally fairly surly. Handy for a quick work lunch - agree with other reviewers, would be handy of an evening.
Corey D — Google review
I'm just a tad dissatisfied with my visit. My server started to fill my take away large plastic container with quite a lot of salad leaves so I asked her to take them out as too much and I could see discoloration at the edges so then she said she would have to chat merge by weight. Originally had quoted €6.50. So immediately alarm bells go off and I'm thinking McDonald's where they half fill your drink with ice. They advertise 3 salads and 3 dressings for €6.50. Lettuce shouldn't be compulsory to fill up the container. Use a smaller container but don't mislead us please. Then I'm told to add cheese is €1 extra. That's fine. The dressings look nice but they only give you a tiny amount. I found the whole experience very military and when I asked for a few flaked almonds at the end I thought she was going to call the food police.!! No warmth or conversation from my server and my chat just fell on deaf ears. Also when I asked about the organic leaves I saw which looked so fresh and yum I was also told .....yes you've guessed it...another €1 extra. !!! Instead I was offered the discoloured ones for free , providing I allowed her to half fill my salad container with them to reduce the amount of food they were going to fill it with. I use with other salad bars in the city and they don't do this. Never a problem either with extra dressings ect. Also I noticed that the humus had a dried crusting on the top. Come on guys, lighten up and play fair...

Crawford House is a casual guesthouse offering tranquil and comfortable rooms with Wi-Fi and en suite bathrooms. Guests have praised the helpful and kind staff, as well as the recently renovated apartments. The housekeeping service is also commended for its excellence. The accommodations are conveniently located near the airport and city center, providing a pleasant stay experience for visitors.
We have been in Killarney House for a month, specifically in apartment 5 -1. Our stay in the guest house has been wonderful and very comfortable. It has been a great luck to stay here. We want to say thank you for everything you have done to make it a good experience. All the staff have always been kind to us. There is always someone at the reception to help and ask questions. Always fantastic housekeeping service. Honestly, the apartment surprised us. This amazing apartment has just been renovated. Smells new and fresh, it’s very nicely decorated, modern and warm. It has everything we could need for a month. It has an induction kitchen with many kitchen utensils, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, refrigerator. There is even a washing machine in apartment 6. Also has iron, hair dryer, work table, etc. There are bus stops very close to go to the center. Also parking is free and available for guests. And finally, the apartment is also close to Fitzgerald's Park, a nice and quiet area to walk. Everything has been perfect, we recommend it! Albert & Joana

Sarah and Katie M are lovely! I come in every Wednesday for wings Wednesday. 30 cent per wing, if you buy a drink (including non alcoholic drinks) So 9 euro for 30 wings and they give you cheese dip and Celary. It’s class I have it and I eat it for the week.

Very noisy at night. It's sorta like the windows a made from single glaze Clingfilm. Bed was warm and clean and showers were good and hot. Host was nice person, friendly and helpful. Only complaint would be the noise from outside. Loads of parking available

Stayed at Crawford House when I was in Cork for a teaching engagement. On arrival I was greeted with a warm welcome, check-in was efficient and I was given help with my luggage. The room was a good size with a large En Suite bathroom, well stocked with tea/coffee making facilities, and cleaned every day. The staff were friendly and efficient and gave advice willingly. They had a good knowledge of the area and gave great recommendations. Nothing was too much trouble. They took the time to engage each visitor in friendly conversation and made my stay a pleasent one. Situated in the heart of the city, it was close to all attractions making everywhere easy to get to. I very much enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it. Lovely staff :) They were really helpful when my shower wasn't working properly! Would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the lack of wifi connection inside the appartment

Magical! Had such a wonderful time at Crawford house. Our room had a big soaker tub. Thank God because my feet were killing me. There is a castle literally right next door. So at night in the silence of Ireland you can take a soak in a tub and watch the stars while looking at a castle made in the 17th Century! Thanks for the Hospitality guys 😉

Breakfast is not free, despite online advertisement. Owner refused to remedy after purchasing under false pretenses. Premises was downtrodden and beds were uncomfortable.
